"In one hour, we're gonna talk to the Orange County D. A Todd Spitzer. He just sent out a press release. Man charged with aggravating kidnapping for ransom is the first Orange County inmate to petition to be released on his own recognizance following that judge's order. In the A C. L U lawsuit to reduce the jail population in Orange County by half. That's the kind of people we're talking about. Todd wants people to know that's the kind of inmates that are going to get released, thanks to this judge's order. But she is also fighting and apparently, the Orange County Board of Supervisors may work on appealing this judge's decision. We'll talk to Todd in one hour, because that ain't the only guy that might be released in Orange County, because we said the L. A County D. A. George Gascon is dangerous Parents kind of D A. Todd Spitzer tries to keep people safe in Orange County, but you had a judge who wants to release half the inmates. Holy mackerel, Victor Davis. Hanson just wrote a couple of paragraphs on gas going in the National Review. Got that later. When we get back to Gascogne, he's making that Nash he's making national news now, all right with the vaccines today. The FDA said Madonna is safe, probably going to get a UN official release of Madonna by the end of the week. Mark Glamorama lard from ABC News, standing by with all the details Mark. Hey, guys. Hey. So what's the story here with modern in the FDA? Yes, So looks like I'm adjourn is on a very similar path to Fizer. What we saw last week where Theo FDA has gone through to kind of published its analysis of the clinical data around the vaccine on has essentially confirmed what we've already heard about it similar to what we saw with visor. The majority vaccine. 94.5%, effective in preventing covert 19 on also had nose Significant safety concerns. And in fact, the FDA once again said there were no sir. No specific safety concerns identified that would quote preclude issuance of an emergency use authorization. So now what'll happen is on Thursday. We'll have another similar hearing to what we saw last week with Visor where this independent board will pore over the data. It's gonna be an all day hearing. They'll take public comment. They'll ask questions of Madonna's representatives. They'll ask questions to the FDA itself about this vaccine on den at the end of the day, take a vote, and the overarching question is do the benefits. Outweigh the risks. And then from there, If all goes to plan, or all goes well, then they would give this a favorable vote. The FDA could then issue emergency approval similar to what we saw with visor could come. Maybe within a day. There's no timeline, but most likely You know, we would see in a similar timeline to what we saw last week. And then from there, the Madonna vaccine can start being pushed out as well. We could have two vaccines out in, you know, out around the country early next week, and the Madonna vaccine doesn't have to be stored it incredibly cold temperatures. Yeah, it does have to be stored at some, you know, freezing level temperatures, but not nearly as much as five, sir. And that's like the main big difference between this vaccine and and visors vaccine. They're both about the same level of effectiveness. They've both shown no significant safety concerns through their testing. So far, they're both the same type of vaccine. There there was called a nem are in a vaccine. Where they used genetic code to essentially spike on immune response inside the body, So they actually work this very similar and in the same way, But the big difference being that the visor vaccine does have to be stored at these very low temperatures. Now. Despite that, though, the Pfizer vaccine can be stored in the boxes that it's shipped in for a number of days. It can be stored at refrigeration temperatures for a couple days and so right now, with the scarcity of You know these vaccines? You know, there aren't sitting on the shelf. So it's not typically that much of a concern at this point that these vaccines might be sitting there thought out for a period of time that they might spoil. But nevertheless, having a vaccine that is easier to transport because it doesn't require that kind of temperature concern and specialized refrigeration equipment makes it easier and so we might be able to see this pushed out too. Some of the hard to reach areas and things like that more rural areas may be able to get this vaccine. Now Madonna took the government money buys or developed its vaccine on his own. So the government has a contract with Madonna for hundreds of millions of Mordo says, Correct. Yeah, yes. Oh, Fizer did not take any development money. The U. S offered five, sir did not take the money to help actually research and develop this vaccine, but that the U. S did secure, I believe was 100 million doses of fighters vaccine in total. We also did the same with Madonna, though we did actually, you know, The U. S actually contributed to the actual research of that vaccine. And just last week, I believe it was announced. We've actually procured another another 100 million doses of Madonna's vaccine, So I think we're in the order of about 200 million doses of this Vaccine here, and of course, it seems on track to be green lighted, potentially by the end of the week. Talk about this first home test tip for covert 19. It doesn't require prescription. Yes, So there's been a few home kids home test kits that have been approved by the FDA. But most of these are either you need a prescription for or when you're at home. You do the nasal swab and then you have to send it out to a lab for the test results to be completed and then you get notified. So really, The key difference with those earlier tests is you're just doing the nasal swab it home. Now. This is the first test by a company called a Loom. It's an Australian company where it's fully at home, and eventually you should be. To buy it simply at a grocery store or she's mad at a drugstore in this test, you can go home. You can do the nasal swab. You do it without a prescription. You just do the nasal swab yourself and then the test. Of course, Since its 2020 it Bluetooth the results to your cell phone and you can actually get the results digitally on your phone s o right there at home Within about 20 minutes, you can find out What your test results were so this do I have to have a put a stick up my nose..

"Order to make hell airing this videos now. That's misleading. Went because when I say they staged a fake bank robberies that makes it sound like maybe they went into a bank. What they did is they dressed up all in black and they had big bags with money in it, and they walked around as if they had already robbed a bank. To see how people would react to them. And at one point they I tried to get into a new ver and the driver wouldn't pick him up because he's like, What is this about? Somebody saw that happening? Thought these two brothers were trying to hijack. The uber car. So the cops came and that poor uber driver got pulled out of the car by the cops until they could figure out what was going on. I believe they also pointed their guns at him. Yes. Oh, sure. That's what you know, under the circumstances. I sort of understand why the cops had to do what they do, but I don't blame the cops. This time. I blame these two knuckleheads. And, of course, your buddy Todd Spitzer, the DEA down there, you know he's talking about these are crimes are been killed. Well, if it is because of the law because of Melanie of false imprisonment and a misdemeanor of actually reporting emergency, but Don't be surprised if these charges go away, but it's Nate. They didn't call the cops and say hi. We robbed a bank the launch with the logical outcome of what they're doing. I mean, you have to consequences matter. And what do you think is going to matter? You walk around and pretend you've just robbed the bank and it looks credible based on the way you're dressed. What do you think happens after that? Don't think the police are called And the poetic justice and I only half mean this poetic justice would have been when they called the cops because they thought that they were Carjacking uber driver that these two guys end up dead by cop. Yeah, that's ah, That's unfortunate. That would be unfortunate, But I would also say it would be a logical it would result of what they were doing. Not thinking about the consequence. All right, let's go ahead and take a break and we'll come back and we'll finish up handle on the news on this Thursday morning. Jennifer Jones, New York City mayor de Blasio.
Los Angeles - State Orders Cary Jay Smith To Register As Sex Offender, Again
"Been a change will change here coming out of Santa Ana. Convicted sex offender carry J. Smith. Will once again be required to register as such, according to the Orange County District attorney Todd Spitzer. At least somebody has their finger on what to do here. But Spitzer initially told eyewitness news the governor Newsome was expected issue an executive order requiring Smith to do so later retracted this statement. According Spitzer The state attorney general's office had taken Smith off the sex offender list back in 2005 when it was informed that no criminal records were found for Smith wonder why? I mean, there's a 1,000,000 guys with that same name, but authorities in Orange County on Ly learned Of his whereabouts and where the 59 year old Smith was and released from a mental hospital earliest months following than 20 years in confinement, so a letter sent Friday to Spitzer The state Attorney General Javier Ah, Sara, said that the department Had been trying to obtain documentation regarding the individual's criminal history and multiple criminal justice agencies. Right. Just make this guy register. What's wrong with everybody. I am and not only register, Let's pick him up for something before. Look if this guy goes out there and rapes a small boy and kills a small boy I think we all have blood on our hands right that we just let this happen that there wasn't a tremendous outrage, an outpouring of anger, so he Smith could be served with that order as early as tonight. So since his release He has moved several times across Southern California, setting off warnings to local communities and law enforcement. He's currently at a health care facility in Costa Mesa. So watch your kids in Costa Mesa because this guy said he's going to When he gets out he was going to sexually assault, rape and kill small boys. What more do we need? So while he was confined to a mental hospital, he testified, having fantasies about raping and killing young boys. He also said that he liked to go by Mr R. T K standing for Mr Rape, torture and kill. In 1985 he pled guilty to misdemeanor sexual offence involving a child and was compelled register as a sex offender. That requirement was removed by the state in 2005 and nobody knows why. But he was admitted to a psychiatric facility back in 1999 after his wife provided a letter in which Smith described sex acts and warned that a seven year old boy who lived in the neighborhood could be next. So. You're in the district Attorney's office in 5 4002 filed 20 felony counts against this guy. This guy's still out there, man. That was way out there and he doesn't even after register is a sex offenders. Tim, I do have some good news about that We are going. We spoke. We had Corbett on live a little bit ago and well, reiterate it in the in the news right now, But Governor Newsome is expected to issue an order that will require him to To register. All right. How about an issue? How about Ah, issue a requirement to put him in jail for the rest of his life on that front? Hopefully the Holy the next the next quarter hour tease. Yes, absolutely All right, But this is it's crazy. If we allow this in this country, and where does it happen? California right A

So when we have a new recommendation on on a vote, then by definition, take notice and check it out because there's one week in one day before I'm sorry one month and one day before the election. The ballots are arriving today. The male imbalance should be arriving today. I know many of our listeners just hovering over their mailboxes waiting go out to vote. Yes. On prop see? That's right. You don't immediately give give give proc six like a big question. I gotta say to lawn signs in my neighborhood. I was impressed. Yes. On six. I just saw one other one signed for a proposition. He was going to disappear for a while. But there's something gotta be coming in the next few months for him to end this right now, I don't know. Was anything? It would have been leaked by now. Story when there is quote, anything they blow it up until this is it this is it. I remember a month ago is oh there there was the word. They used circling Trump. It's over a funny thing to do. Except by the way, just based on my own experience. Google is now wildly slanting searches. And you can't find negative stuff about pet issues anymore with Google. Yeah. Oh, because I'll give you an example today. I saw a story that said that the earth is running out of time. Oh, I did see the change. And there are websites that keep track of the dozens and dozens of times over the last thirty years that some science agency has announced the earth is running out of time. Sure, it's been thirty years of the earth is running out of time. So I wanted to find one of those websites fifty years. Yeah. You're right. Goes by sixties the Earth Day Earth Day in nineteen seventy seventy big marking point, but I can't find them anymore. I've read, and you don't know what to believe until you experience yourself. But I would I want to find stuff that doesn't go with the left-wing flow of Google. Yeah. You gotta you gotta go to page fifty two. So. What the hell we retired? We were talking about something else though. Well, we're talking about voter guide. But I don't know what you're right before right before he went off on the on the global warming thing. I don't know. I was focused on telling people that we've also this is the home. Yeah. I don't know. What are you paying attention now? Sorry, guys. We don't prepare for the show nothing scripted. So I don't know what I was a point of trying to find something that is now buried when I when you Google, okay? And I immediately veered into the climate change. I know I know. Change your diet. No, more meet your. That's what it was. Eases. She thought she had it to. We're also we've decided after many meetings. John didn't come to one of them that we will endorse Todd Spitzer for Orange County district attorney, right? I agree with that. Even though you weren't there. Right. The only one you missed. I mean, you could was the daylight savings. Stupidity. Only one. That's the only when we disagree on everything else regret. But we have Todd has been responsive to the show. I mean, look Tony recall has been responsive to the show over the years with the cases, but Todd does come to us with stuff on crime homelessness. We thought he did a pretty good job clearing out the riverbed, despite we get emails from people there in my neighborhood now. Anyway, it's up to you to chase them out. But we don't have hundreds camped out at the Orange County. The riverbed baron, Santana Anaheim, and all those places that they were they were destroy destroy. All right. I'm not a fan of this. But sometimes spreading them out is better than having them. Clump and destroy one place like they were doing. But anyway, and he always has the great crime statistics when he comes to us over some of the ballot measures. We've talked about before obviously over prop forty seven and the prisoner dumping Bill. So we've decided to endorse Todd Orange County DA it's a two person race in Orange County between Todd and. Tony caucus, a longtime incumbent, and honestly, we also discussed were you there for this meeting when we think it's time for a change there. I think there's too much we in the jailhouse informant crap that debt ruined the sentencing phase of the decries Scott, try this salon. This taping of the lawyers with the defendants. Right. That happened in the jails. But yeah. But you think there was some. Yeah. There's creeping knowledge or something. Yeah. There's something wrong there because because the sheriff's department going to do with the information, I it's it's it's the district attorney's office that would use the information and back to LA from Orange County LA county. I think this one issue even though it's not major really defines a rift that now exists between peoples of the United States. And that's the fact, and I'm gonna make it simple today is indigenous peoples day, oh and the crowd that is trumpeting this having rallies, and that explains the opposite of John and Ken. There's another crowd like us. It's like, oh, you gotta be kidding me. I mean, honestly, I got I gotta read people's day is here for the city and the county of L A. They're not the only ones have changed Columbus Day to indigenous peoples day, but it was councilman Mitch o'farrell with a nice Irish name. But apparently he does have native American heritage. And that's. This is preposterous. I woke up today. Right. I got an Email from the next door in the neighborhood. And it it actually was something forwarded from the L A sanitation department. Go back garbage. Yes. Although at the headline said, no collection delays indigenous peoples day, and I had no idea. What that meant today is the first one they changed it last year. Then I. Stagger. Did as governor. He got rid of Columbus as a state holiday. So it's not really a state issue anymore. Right. And so then I went to the local rec center where I play tennis and workout right? Yeah. And I hate to use the restroom, and there was a sign locking the door leading to the restroom that today is a holiday indigenous peoples day. And. And they're removing the statue of Columbus grand park. And everybody gets a day off. Now ninety nine percent of city workers are not digital people's. But they all get the day off night. Nobody should have gotten Columbus Day off that was another fake holiday but indigenous peoples day, and our tax money is paying for a day off for thousands of workers. Yes. "John and Ken show, John, kobylt Ken chiampou KFI AM six forty. Nine Todd Spitzer, the Orange County supervisor and of course candidate ROY, Orange County. District attorney about assembly Bill eighteen ten the one that allows we've been talking. About it for a couple of weeks you're not gonna hear anybody else talking about it Really, writing about it although Todd daddy, wrote an opinion, piece for, the Orange, County Register and, it deals with pretrial diversion for. People. Charged with crimes and they want to claim a mental disorder that? Is treatable and the judge can send them off, to, quote treatment have substantially complied to the, diversion program okay. Snake go gone prosecution by, the way there's no partner no prosecution no trial no prison time even if you've murdered somebody possible. Yes and what would be the judges standing for turning down anybody's claim as long. As they got a psychiatrist who said yeah he's got a mental disorder as Todd pointing down anyone if you turn, it, down could be the basis of some. Kind of appeal, and this could go on and on so tight, just the. Idea of cutting the prosecution and the victims out of the entire process does. That violate a larger constitutional issue a US constitute Issue beyond just Marci's law here in California it seems like there. Has to, be a prosecution that violates the people of California's rights, right I I would agree with that in the sense that, you remember it's the elected district attorney's in fifty eight counties in California that had the responsibility for bringing criminal charges okay so you can they bring the. Criminal. Charges, but Dan their duty to see, that through is, obviously jeopardized, because they've, been cut out, of the process if victims in. The. California constitution remember we do not yet have victims protection in the? United States constitution so it's not it wouldn't be, a, United it wouldn't be a federal constitutional, right but it. Would certainly be a California, constitutional right and so you know the thing you all the thing that I think I it's so. Offensive here is is you're gonna ask me the question is it constitutional can it. Be challenged and I will tell you on its face Yes of course it could be but at the same time it's. Going to depend on the implementation and it's going to depend on this balancing test because, while? The, prosecutor can be left out a court could invite the prosecutor into the process so if the court does invite the prosecutor in maybe according to a higher court would. Find. That's constitutional but let me tell you about, some of, the problematic situations that make this even worse first of all let's talk about retro-activity okay remember. What three strikes how they had, to go back and look at the cases that were that affected the, three-strikes cases when. The voters changed the third. Strike to be of a serious. Violent, felony so this may be retroactive because the. Rule. Is that anytime a law is, in favor of a criminal defendant you have to apply retroactively this may open up a can of worms of cases that have already been adjudicated for? Years like murder cases it could open up A can of worms defendant will now be able to bring a rid, of habeas corpus and say, I? Should have been, able, to assert. That rule before. I was convicted and I, now have a right to go back and assert my mental defense otherwise I if I it been able to assert that mental defense, I would have not been convicted I would have. Been diverted and I want I want a court to re look at my case there aren't, enough judges. And and mental diversion clinics ever handle anything like this I mean this would take the. Dick potentially affect, every crime ever committed. And. Every crime? Yet to be committed well what what about this I introduced a Bill years ago when I was in the legislature I called it the secret Santa Bill there was I don't know if. It's Dave Goldstein or somebody but somebody in Los Angeles media market did a television where these sex offenders that's, happened in Illinois just looked. It up during the break where you know these guys who were convicted sex offenders they wanna, be around kids, right some of them Like the pedophile so they become Santa's you know that this diversion programs feels, your record no one has a right including an employer of looking you, up so if you wanna be a Santa and you're going to be around..

"The thing i really got out of that conversation with todd spitzer in ravines part of his supervisor district is that you got people at tide was just pleading i got shelter room shelter what if they don't wanna go the judge says if they don't want to go because you can't make them go let's find another place they might go to all go back to tent encampments they liked that irvine but really come down on the rules and they meant i like it so much this is bad news really bad news in irvine worse than we even thought because these are the hardcore people who refused to take drug and alcohol help who refused to take mental health help they don't want to go look for a job they don't want to abide by the rules over it the shelters so i say cut him loose this this is a real battle line because shawn nelson supervisor we're going to have him on next hour he doesn't check it out and he's on record is saying well this is actually zoned for homeless people it was owned fifteen years ago so we can do this we own this land the county can do what it wants with its land as long as the zoning is proper well he says the zoning is is good for homeless people so he's intent on doing this he says they're they're sick of the problem is not his right now as we hear from t it's not as district yeah so that's not going to worry the next time he's up for reelection i'll i'll bet all my dollars that if this was in shawn nelson's district he'd be he'd be giving us the opposite argument he'd be sending todd spitzer sounding so well part of the argument is well tied you wanted to drive them from the riverbed now yours exact that's what happened so this is what you get for doing the right thing this is why politicians never do anything because this is a real messy issue and nobody wants to do what should be done is forced these people into the mental institutions or or put them in a big bus and dr matt at towns to the desert let them create their own little community two hundred miles out east answer the phone come on we're getting causing here one one eight hundred five zero one five three four.
