Equally fairly, everyone would end up Facing prosecution. So to my Democrat friends in my Republican friends went independent riends. Anyone who's a pro trump or anti Trumper understand that President Trump is not on trial. You. Are on trial. I understand that you are on trial. You may hate Trump. But understand you are on trial. And I think that that needs to be the defense. We could dispose of this relatively quickly. Yes, you can bring up hypocrisy. Uh, yes, you can bring up Bladensburg versus uh, Ohio in the legal standards. Yes, You can bring up details about You know the fact that it was pre planned by the people who you know, committed the violence. Those air secondary details. Um You could make the point that he's out of office. You can impeach him. That's it. Legalistic footnote in my book. The fundamental issue here is that we all as Americans should be outraged by the abuse of power that the Democrats are trying to exercise by criminalizing any speech against them. That Is a fascist regime. Coming up. We're gonna actually play some of the video that the impeachment managers play today and let you decide plus at 3 30. Shooting in the 4000 block of Capitan Grandi on the Barona Indian Reservation apparently was a domestic incident involving a man and a woman when deputies arrived around 8 30 last night. They were speaking with a woman when her boyfriend, 23 year old Johnny Oliver, came out and started shooting at the deputies. The confrontation resulted in one sergeant and four deputies shooting at Oliver. After a short standoff, Oliver surrendered. He was arrested for attempted murder. He was not shot but was treated at a hospital front for a minor injury. The woman was shot during the exchange of gunfire. She was also treated for non life threatening injuries. No deputies were injured and one person was shot and killed this morning in North Park's any police say the shooting was reported about seven o'clock this morning in the 4500 block of Kansas Street. "Okay, so Blue Shield is now going to try to clean up the mess created by Governor Gavin Newsom and local officials like Nathan Fletcher here in San Diego and Mayor Todd Gloria. Come on in with the big broom try to fix it. Try to clean it up. Blue Shield apparently was given a no bid contract. Ah, I'm not saying that they're not capable of doing it. I think they're probably a hell of a lot more capable than the state of California and the local government bureaucracies. I must point out They get a no bid contract. And they're very close to Gavin Newsom. In 2018. They gave him a million dollar contribution. For his grace for governor. $1 million. I've also spent nearly $1.3 million on lobbying state government officials in the Legislature. Uh, in the past year. But my God has nothing to do with that course nothing to do with that. Found your cartoon by the way with the sloth. The slop. Where did it come from? It came from zoo topia with Oh, it's a cartoon. It's cartoon. Yes. Is that a Disney thing? I think it's a Disney one. But when you want to hear their sloth Yes. So a barely let me set this up in this movie. Um, Some of the characters show up at the D M V. Looking for a license plate number. You know, they have a license plate number they need to find, I guess information about it. Get that point. This is government. This is gonna look they had seven weeks. Seven. Well, they've had the vaccine for seven or eight weeks. Um, and it's not marginal. It's only marginally better, and some would argue. It's like really You know, you didn't just get the vaccine. You knew that A vaccine was coming for the past nine months, And at least you knew since it was in its final approval processes, and you were submitting plans to the CDC for how you're going to distribute it. You knew that it was going to arriving at some point in early December Azaz early as September. So you had time to do this. You had time to set up a system and you didn't Nathan Fletcher, You are accountable for this. You ought to resign. People are not getting their vaccinations. And you had yesterday your focus was on. We have to make sure that San Diego was safe for pot shops. That's your priority. Hmm. See, I got you and Mayor Kevin of Todd Gloria dithers around talking about creating an office of racism and equity. But he's not out there doing anything. To move the ball. "Diego was praising Mayor Todd Gloria after his first say the city address. We carry that for you live last night here on cocoa and its focus to certain amounts on the homeless crisis itself was hearing actually medicine released, the homeless is focused on homelessness. But just in general, he spoke about a number P initiative, cross border relations immigration, he spoke about trying to change for the folks from border itself a racial equity. He also focused heavily on housing, and that's where I was staying with my remarks into housing, especially in relation to home. This is the housing of which he spoke, obviously was just that is really so homeless is it has to do with middle income and working families. As it releases the homelessness. He made a point, which is very near and dear to my heart. And that's the fact that there isn't enough affordable house, especially as it relates to the population with which we work, and that's those who are homeless. Things are very obviously in San Diego, and so he spoke of permanent, supportive housing, and we you know just that we have been working on the affordable housing side now for a long period of time. We know that shelters are important. Chances are way of getting people off the streets in the immediacy, but a shelter is not home. And so we build out affordable housing units, and that's what really takes an individual off the streets on a permanent nature with the associated comprehensive services that are necessary in order for individuals to be able to retain that housing. And so that made me very optimistic. Obviously, as far as the housing crisis, consider the other that I would mention as well is, which is every fourth is it bounces mental help, and we know that a fair number of those who We serve are mired in mental health issues. And he sees that the mayor sees that and those that that very much needs to be addressed and you mentioned that he was forced to work collaboratively with the county in order to get the funds to be able to do that. That's absolutely critical. And I've had some side conversations with the mayor as well about this new we've experienced screams help. A couple of years ago, we father those Villagers out of our health center in order to meet people where they are literally. Providing medical support on the streets because certain people will not access medical care. Traditionally through there was center and this year we're going to be rolling out psychiatric services right there on the streets to our street health programs, and that's extremely critical. That's in the area that needs a lot of focus. We need to engage with individuals where they are and time build a relationship and bring them in for additional services. So those were two aspects on which he focused that are we think we have only just village. Leave a very teeth. You could do Vargas it father, Jos Villages here react in the state of the city address last night from Mayor Todd Gloria when it comes to the vaccination rollouts, not just Petco Park in San Diego. There are many other mass distribution sites that are up and running across California, now, including Disneyland, California, as most.

"Right. We're gonna get to the Pacific Beach riot that was caused by Antifa and the disgraceful attempt by Mayor Todd Gloria to let those folks off the hook and blame others. But first, uh I usually I'm not putting a whole lot of stock in polling. Okay? I don't Take a look at all the polling failures. We saw this last election polls are but and I also believe that on an issue as hot And as raw and his emotional is what we saw happen last week at the capital that you needed to take the initial polling with Some doubt because people go through like an emotional process to come to a judgment. Um, sometimes their initial reaction to something Um, may not be the actual end result just after a few days. Even so, initial polling can be very wrong and emotion. And therefore can be off. But here is the polling that we see so far about. The capital, ABC Ipsos poll released on Sunday. Shows that 56% Americans think that Trump should be removed from office. Now, remember, Um a lot of people didn't vote for him in the first place. But it is, you know, more than you know, bite and God s 56% think that he should be removed from office. 43% say he should not. Um Among those that say that Trump should be removed nearly half 45%. Say that his Actions were wrong this week. Ousting the president basically is is splitting along party lines. 94% of Democrats say he should go 13% only 13% of 13% of Republicans support the move. But majority of independence 58% wanted gone, eh? So that's that pole s Oh, it's important again to put that in perspective that that's um bad news for Trump. But it still shows 43% of the American people are like and and and and Don't Don't. Don't take him out. Now there's another poll out and we see this one here. Uh huh. This is from Well, you see this who did this poll? Ah! This is Rasmussen. Okay? This is Rasmussen. This guy's really good polling. He found that 59% of voters believe that those that occupied and ransacked the Capitol building should be considered terrorists. 59%. 26% disagreed. 58% believed believed that the president encouraged the mob, uh, to go into the Capitol building. 60% believe that the actions of a small number of troublemakers and races do not reflect the views of most Republicans or Trump voters. The fact that 40% think that it does is what is appalling to me. Um 43% of voters say that Trump should be arrested after he leaves office. 44% say he should not be arrested. 13% are not sure at this time. Again. These air two poles. A Rasmussen is pretty darn good at his ability. Tol. He was the most accurate pollster back in both elections. 2016 and In 2024 Republican turnout and Republican performance. But that's where we are today. Where will we be in 150 days? The reason why I wanted to share this and put it in perspective that time. Changes people's perceptions of what things happened. Um Where we gonna be in 100 50 days. Are you actually going to successfully impeach Donald Trump? I don't see it again as a lover of the law. A someone who loves our constitution..

"I don't think they would do that, because there's a you know, I would hope they wouldn't do that if it gets that far because the president or former president in 150 days Whatever right to defend himself. And so the Trump can assign people to speak on his behalf. Trump can himself go to the well of the Senate and speak on his behalf, which would be quite remarkable. Or you can have house members speak for him or senators speak for him. So, yes, they would have to be a trial and then after You know a few days of trial, then there would be a vote of the Senate. There needs to be a two thirds vote for it to happen. This would be the best time for President Trump to bring out its platform because not only Republicans would be listening. But, you know, the Democrats would also be listening. Very interesting point, a very interesting point. But if you have an impeachment trial, thanks for calling in Europe against break If we have an impeachment trial, you're giving Trump a great platform to get his message out again. These Democrats think that they got the you know the tiger by the tail. They got the tiger by the tail of the tiger can turn around and bite him. All right, coming up. We've got to get into what happened here in San Diego and just the abject failure. Todd Gloria State Health and Human says, Services secretary who do we in need Sacramento, to arrest Dr Mark for the Galley, riots saying today this weekend? he sees some hope My response, in terms Antifa. of hospitalization rate statewide. Also, we got the Democrats now trying to compare the very legitimate recall of Gavin Newsom, which began, uh A year ago. Uh, you know, they filed their papers and like March and then you know, got circulating starting in May the recall of Gavin Newsom for ineptitude, incompetence, uh, across the spectrum of measurements here in California. Democrats today have dismissed it as a coup attempt. That is a driven by racist extremists who, uh, were the mob that ransacked the capital? In Washington. So basically, the Democrats are desperately trying. Too. Uh, no surprise here. Ah! Deflect attention from their failures. Any time there's a failure on their part all they're going to do Is clutch their pearls and scream trump Mob capital racism. The past four years, they've been able to scream Trump All the time. They raise the gas tax where they say but Trump They're caught, you know, with their pants down, violating their own covert 19 rules. What's the response? But Trump They're not able to get unemployment benefits out TOC Californians who are struggling, unemployed, hurting during this time of pandemic, months and months and months and months of ineptitude, incompetence at the unemployment program here in California. And when the issues raised Respond, but Trump Everything is back Trump. And now it's not only about Trump It will also be but the mob Cool insurrection. We are not better as a country for that. So let's call it out anytime they do that to be like MEN and nn nn Don't have contractor Don't try to deflect. OK, that'd be like saying but Hitler every single time any issue came up. No, No, he's a bad guy. But let's talk about your failings here in unemployment insurance. Let's talk about your failings here in not helping Californian survive. Not getting the vaccine distributed. So I want to be very, very, very, very clear about this. Yes, we condemn what happened last week of the capital. We will continue to contempt, condemn it every single time, which is a breath of fresh air compared to the Democrats who have enabled and have facilitated and actually, in some cases. Have promoted The violence by Antifa. And we saw that today with Mayor Todd Gloria Todd Gloria dismissing any notion, glossing it over white whitewashing it airbrushing it out of existence that there was no Involvement whatsoever by Antifa. It was all the trump people in Pacific Beach. You're gonna want to hear. Uh, the cameraman who was on kill us. I, um Who got assaulted. Brutally hurt by Antifa. He has it all on tape. It wasn't the Trump supporters. Now he's putting that tape the video out for all to see so Lots to get to let's start out. First of the investigation. Not only do we condemn what happened at the capital we demand Find out who did it, Arrest them, prosecute them and punish them. Very clear. All right again. A consistent, clear, principled position. We don't we don't allow. We don't facilitate. We don't celebrate. We don't tolerate people who decide to become lawless and violent. We don't tolerate it of antifa wouldn't tell tolerated of black lives matter. We're certainly not gonna tolerate it from a bunch of far right wing nuts. Who don't represent the heart and soul of the Republican Party or the average trump supporter so we will condemn it and we will demand their punishment. Today. The FBI hold a press conference where they kind of describe the investigation that is underway. They've already have 160 people that they're pursuing charges against. They say. The charges initially filed will perhaps be small charges just to keep people trapped down tax down while they then go after larger, more serious charges. Um, I'm glad to see this level of response by law enforcement. It actually. Pales into comparison to the level of law enforcement response we saw with the element Antifa. I'm not happy about that. So are we going to see this going forward for any group that we will actually investigate? I hope so. Every single act of violence. Every single peaceful protest that turns into a violent one needs to be investigated, and those responsible for inciting the violence need to be held accountable. We will explore. Why here in San Diego. That's not happening, and we should raise our voices against Mayor Todd Gloria. We need to hold him accountable. Hold his feet to the fire for the fact that he's not Punishing people who engaged in outright violence against community members over the weekend. Why? Because they come from his leftist base. We're gonna get to that in a minute. But 116. That's a good start. I suspect you're going to see a lot more people charged in the capital. Breach. And rightfully so, Um, now, what's interesting is the FBI lead investigator, Michael Sure, Sherman. Um Basically cautioned against using terms like domestic terrorist He said. Basically, that's not a term we're using. Here. We have Maura than enough. Laws that have been violated by these people that are clear cut that fit the bill, and that's what we're calling them. S a very interesting comment there. Now. What we're also seeing is a call by the FBI. If anyone has any information, any video to share it with them, and I know a number of Southern California residents are now back from Washington. Um, if you got cell phone video anything, even if you don't think it's gonna be helpful. Get it over the Department of Justice and the FBI. They have a field office here in San Diego. Um Interestingly enough there looking at 100,000, plus pieces of video and data and information, so the public has been great in providing help to the investigation. Because, like I said, doesn't matter. You don't care if you're a Democrat. Republican, you get violent. You protest. You turned a peaceful protest into a violent one. We're going to come after you were going to investigate. All right, coming up. Let's give you an update on impeachment. It seems as though There's a lot more Republicans than I expected. "My Oh says he has not endorsed Bri Bri released a statement saying in part, violence and threats of violence have no place in civil society. However, it's outrageous that Todd Gloria is blaming me while his supporters are promoting political ads that have resulted in numerous personal threats against me. DiMaio also released a statement saying, in part that Gloria is desperate to distract voters from his indefensible support for the controversial law. All right. So what's interesting there is the media bent over backwards to try toe pump up Todd Gloria, coming out with a police report was filed. Did they actually go into the actual text messages or Social Post know if they had, they would have seen that they were garden variety snide remarks people would make on Facebook and Twitter. Of which every politician has snide remarks made against them on Facebook and Twitter. There were no threats made against Todd Gloria. And in fact, that's why you didn't hear this story. Once Todd Gloria screamed at the top of his lungs clutching his pearls were these diamond tiara or whatever he was clutching on? He said. No, I'm under attack. I'm filing a police report. Well, Well, if you actually were threatened There should be someone arrested. Well, whoever threatened you with physical violence should easily be right out now they'd actually have threatened to Gloria. They made remarks like your piece of dirt for supporting this law. Get the hell out of San Diego. If you're going to support sex offenders, you have no place in San Diego politics. Things like that. Do your job, man. Do your damn job and so again. The media should have said Todd Gloria files false police report in the middle of pandemic when resources are thin, Todd Gloria decides to use the police department for a political stunt. And you know how they describe the law. A judge has discretion to No, describe it for what it is. That's the 1 45 removes the statutory requirement that someone who assaults a child as young as 14 has to register as a sex offender. That's what the law does. Don't say the law gives a judge affirmatively the ability to do this because no, no, no, no, no, The judge always has the ability to do it. Before and after the law. What glory did was he stripped? The mandatory requirement. And that is Dispute that needs to be raised, and that's what voters need to be aware. Of course, the media doesn't want to coverage. The dance doesn't want to cover the damn story because they got someone like Todd, glorious screaming. Homophobia have a victim. Now you are a bad politician. Supporting a very dangerous law, and you don't deserve to be the mayor overseeing the San Diego Police Department. This be 1 45 have money tied up in it somewhere that That I'm not seeing. No, no, it's perversion. I mean, there's no it is garden variety, loony leftist theory that somehow the sex offenders. Are, you know, hurting and because they have to be on the registry. Well, you know what? Maybe you shouldn't be targeting little Children. All right. Try that. We think that targeting little Children for sex is a no abomination. And we need to protect our Children. But glory doesn't see it that way. He thinks sex offenders need a little bit more help, and that's how he's going to governors Mayor will keep an eye on him coming up. The big news are big success story with defeating tax hikes. In 2020, even though we were outspent in so many ways that's coming up on the divine report. First track Probably helpful. "I mean, what you're doing in your mind the voters Todd Gloria, you are lying. You are making stories up, and it's the most heinous approach of a politician to try to be something that they're not. Todd Gloria would try to pretend to be straight in order to get a vote. Although for him, you know what I mean Pretty hard, but no, he this guy would literally lie to people. And I saw that pattern with Bob Filner, and there's an arrogance blew that goes along with it. Filmer was also one of these guys that would tell media outlets that he just simply would not talk to them. He refused to go on shows and he would refuse to talk to them and that they were going to pay a price and that he was gonna blackball them. Um and he and he's a leftist. This guy's a Democrat. And he you know, felt like Oh, you know, he wasn't getting perfect coverage from media. And so when you have someone that arrogant That unethical. There's nothing that you can really trust them on, ever no matter what they tried to represent, or say, So, you know, this is a guy that is not suited for the job on policy issues. And he's not suited for the job on character issues. There's no doubt my mind. All right. We have a lot to get to. There's so much going on. I can't believe that we're still you know, loaded for bear for political news, and the election is in short, we plus we want to remind people about the voter guy. Can't let a day go by without reminding folks about the voter guides. All that's coming up next on the day my report, first traffic and Laura came. "District coming up here on Kogo. This is the Dome. I'll report with Carl DeMaio and Blue Penrose. The fight continues. Just cover more things on the election. I was sent something pretty disturbing. Again. A power top, Gloria. We will have, by the way. Barbara. Bree join us next week for an interview. We did invite Todd Gloria on the show. He refused to come on. Such as his pattern. When did his team given? Excuse? I mean, why is running for mayor? Why can't I don't know. He's probably going to some like a town hall with sex offenders. I don't know. Hey, walks by. So he's walking precincts in your neighborhood walks by your house. No show. You won't come on the show, but he stages a walk on my street to pretend like he's actually out there doing you know the The grassroots thing If you'd have had a walk are B at least come on the radio with this. Come on. But I got an email that's well documented from it basically lays out the biggest scam that thes politicians engage in. You see when we, um Elect people to office. They're given a staff, um with our money, taxpayer staff. They're not allowed, though, to use their taxpayer staff on campaign. Um, efforts correct. It's a very, very strict rule I've lived in for years. I mean, it's really, really important T be beyond reproach on that. That means literally. If you have to walk outside the building or take a day leave of absence to go home Little. There's literally separate cell phones. Carl Separate cell phones. People are not allowed to work on campaign things campaign issues during their paid day 9 to 5, they can take time off if they documented. If you don't people are hired in government. There's a lot of ethics training classes that you have to go to, and It's very structured and people know the rules, unfortunately, looks like Ta Gloria's entire taxpayer funded assembly. Um, staff seem to be working for his mayoral campaign, which is a big No. No. Now you can volunteer on a campaign. And still work in the official office of a politician. That's not Ah problem. In fact, the rules that govern how to do that legally, legally do it. You do it in your off time you take time off. You take a leave of absence. What? What the Ah, The documentation that was sent to us shows that Ta Gloria's staff apparently are using Lists that were created within his assembly office and that the staff themselves have been engaging in social media. During the day when they're on taxpayer time. And in fact, with the documentation literally has screenshots of, for example, Nick Serrano. Nick Serrano is a campaign manager for Gloria's mayoral campaign, but he's also a paid communications director. For Gloria's Assembly office is on the assembly payroll. All right, he's on the assembly payroll. He cannot tweet retweet or even look at, uh, the mayoral. Ah, you know, campaign literature during the hours that air time stamped on the three tweets that of looking at Yes. 25 in the morning on September 22nd. Nine. Sorry to 55 on September 25th. Now Here's another one. Javier Gomez is also working on the campaign for Todd Gloria, but he's also AH Field representative working for Todd Gloria. Again. He's ah, scene on social media posting and re re tweeting a 10 19 on May 15th 2020 at 1:50 P.m. on January 31st. 11:53 a.m. on April 3rd. There We have Eduardo Martinez. You see what I'm saying? I'm going through each of his staffers, and they're all engaging in this everything looking at these things. Edward Eduardo Martinez is a volunteer staff member for Gloria's mayoral campaign, and he's a paid chief of staff. Hey, He also has a rainy wild as a volunteer, and she's a field representative representative. They also again are tweeting and posting things during the day. Stephen Hill is the district director. Wasn't this a director? What's he doing? Oh, no, You can't do this as a dd 2 37 in the afternoon. Again. What it looks like. Here's an open and shut case that Todd Gloria staff has been caught on taxpayer time engaging in political activity, and that's that's a big No. No. And the other thing that you need to make sure that you don't even have the appearance of impropriety. Exactly right. You shouldn't be doing any of this while you're being I mean, you can do this on DH. No, it's it's not uncommon for staff. To take leaves of absences to go work on the campaign because you're close to the member and you trust me. They're trusted. But you have to take a concrete leave of absence. And that means you can't you really can't share time. Because if if they're re tweeting Carl and doing this kind of stuff on their phone, they're also going to the printers office and picking up printed materials. They're dropping off door side door hangers and signs. Doing a lot of campaign work because there were clearly not aware of the line and why. I mean I mean, why do something this boneheaded this? This? This this risky Gloria is funded by all the major special interests. The government unions have lined his campaign coffers. With the far more cash than his opponent, Barbree and Gloria, you know, even gets a a retired firefighter. Who's getting a $300,000 pension. The guy has so much money at taxpayer expense. He wrote a $50,000 personal cheque to Ta Gloria's independent expenditure. I mean, we're talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars from special interest. Why do you need to use government staff?.

"Be required to be listed on the sex offender registry so that we can keep an eye on them and make sure that they Don't do any bad things around schools, playgrounds, parks, etcetera. That measure was signed into law by Newsom. It was voted on and supported by people like Todd Gloria running for San Diego Mayor. And so we may not be able to stop the 1 45 immediately, But we can certainly stop him from becoming mayor. Sure, because it's a matter of judgment. At this point, you know a disappoint it's just the judgment of anybody that would cast a vote for such an idea. Newsome also signed into law a bill that would exempt The media newspapers from having to comply with 85. This is the law that bans independent contractors and it's so sickening, okay, the media Instead of coming out and explaining to Californians why 85 is destroying jobs over a million jobs destroyed by 85 put at risk instead of explaining that what they say is okay. Give us an exemption, and we won't call you on the carpet for your failure, And that's the deal that they made. That's why you don't see a stories about 85. They made me. Where's the editorial board? Writing the copy of the editorial about how it is completely conflict of interest for newspapers to be exempt from a law that is crippling other industries. What is it that a story that's a story in and of itself, But the only people that write stories work for newspapers and of course, they're not going to write the story because it would call them out well, and and that's the way politics works. They're corrupt. Newspapers are absolutely embed with these liberal politicians, and they they they've done their deal. So they got the bill. By the way, the governor did sign that, sweetheart deal We'll weaken Do in response again. SB 1 45 We vote against Ted Tar Gloria, who seems to think that sexual predators need Mohr rights and mohr care and concern than you know, 14 year old kids. Who they're abusing. What we need to do is we need to vote Affirmative. Yes, on prop 22. Why? Because prop 22 exempts uber and lift from 85. It would be our best way of Sending the message that favors don't want 85 anywhere, You know. You know, anytime we get an opportunity, we want to strike it down. So that's why I propped 22 is part of how we fight back against the bill that the media got a sweetheart deal for itself. Here's another one. Hey, did veto. This is going to give him credit on this one he vetoed Assembly member Lorena Gonzalez is law that would have required that hotels. Rehire workers based on their 10 year, not on their merit or their performance nor economic ability. This was all about the labor unions trying to basically go and say, Hey, okay, only 100 employees are going to be rehired at this hotel. Out of the original 500. It's up to the boss used to be up to the boss. Now it's going to go to the government, you know, mandate. All the old employees get hired back first. And then the union comes in the next day, saying, Hey, You realize all you have your jobs, all of you individually, have your jobs..

"Cargo studios and Aaron Smith broadcasting from hallmark physically distance so we jump from Todd Gloria right in the barber break city councilmember district one always appreciate a few minutes overtime here on newsradio six hundred cocoa councilmember Brady Aaron and Jack thank you so much for taking the time for us tonight great how my hope you're both are safe and healthy well thank you and we wish you the same house district one doing obviously this is a city county wide statewide global issue but and how was that was district one doing I'm very proud of my district I do go out a little bit my husband actually went for a walk at lawyer Chaudhry speech this morning and he said everybody was socially distance than most people were wearing face masks he does all people swimming and surfing which is course allowed right now and my district has been very good at it hearing to all think the guidelines in place during the call to re open places like parks and beaches how you think things have gone what have you seen at the city level the staff the mayor and county officials worked together to open up the parks in a coordinated way and now the beaches it's very important for all of us for our mental and physical health to be outdoors we are an outdoor community the weather is warm right now and I think it's being done in a very responsible way yeah a lot of pressure on those who you with coastal authority how the coastal mayors the council council members at cetera and yet a lot of eyeballs not just here locally but all across the state all across the United States paying attention to what was going on our beaches yes and we were well behaved here I'm I think the governor called out Orange County but he praised San Diego for being very well behaved overall what do you think of the state responsible for the economic shutdown the health response the public health side of things what do you think of the county and the state's role in all of this and then moving forward I commend governor Newsom for ordering a shelter in place earlier than other places I think if New York I've heard governor Cuomo say that he regrets that he didn't order a shelter in place sooner so because of the fact that we sheltered in place sooner all we have not overwhelmed hospitals we have not seen the number of cases and I think is you know now I'm our hospitals are you know they have a lot of excess capacity right now and so that's why they're being allowed to start doing elective surgeries and one of the things I think many doctors are worried about is that people who are sick have not gone to the hospital because they were afraid you know if catching cold but if they went for something that they needed to take care up speaking with council member Barbara Bry joining us on newsradio six hundred cargo is there anything you feel here on the local level that we should be doing better across the city and across the county so I'd like to see a plan for re opening of the economy I am very particularly concerned about small businesses who such an important part of San Diego so I think in my district of Warwick's bookstore and I think of Jupiter's Toy Story you can buy a book and a toy at Walmart and Costco even if bonds but yet you can't go to a small business to buy these products and I'm hoping that the interests of the small businesses will be considered an accord that has to be done in a socially distance responsible way and as I talk to these business owners they are all ready to open in a responsible way to serve their community given your experience in the business sector how long can these small businesses go and what if they told you about the impact they have seen all these last few months some of them have applied for federal assistance most have not gotten it leaves here sadly seem at some large public companies dot of SBA loans that were really intended for small businesses and some of these businesses are concerned that they will not be able to survive if they can't open in the next month or so and of course restaurants are particularly concerned that even if they can't open and they have to operate the socially distanced way that they will not be able to serve enough customers to be financially viable I'm sure that that your focus primarily is on your responsibilities as a city councilmember the same way that Todd Gloria is on what he's dealing with at the state level that said we've been spending time on the show talking a little bit about all of the local races whether it's on city council for the mayor's office congressional districts that cetera how much different is running for mayor today than it was two months ago well it's very different and the issues have changed Florida so during the primary I talked a lot about the fact that city hall is a mess with no accountability and no transparency I cheer the by two committee and we start our budget hearings on Thursday at a time that the city is facing enormous revenue shortfalls an estimated three hundred million between now and the end of next June but and one a one point five billion dollar general fund so it's very very significant and I believe very clearly we have to do things in new ways we have to lay the foundation for a new San Diego something that I think government often has a hard time doing but I as I look around me I look you know in a few short weeks the NFL established a completely new socially distance process for drafting college players and they got into a great response from the public it had enormous participation and at the same time the city's development services department Lee department successfully transition to online permitting and a work from home business model so I believe in the sanctity is and will be the mother of invention and that city house to figure out new ways of operating the same old ways are not going to work for us anymore imagine that the part of that budget process for this year as you mention to her fifty three hundred million dollars because of this on the loss side and then moving forward if you are elected mayor they'll be some tough choices to.

"Social media virus Sacramento. Bee described her Kim Kardashian, west celebrity taste maker an internet breaker. Can you unwind that for me or decipher that? I know this is part of the world that is incomprehensible to me, and I no longer recognize. Yeah. I I, but this is dangerous because this woman is marching around and she's part of the same band of people that want to empty the prisons. That's why this is data. She's yeah. She's she was on an empty the prison mission. Right. Well, she got Trump to release a woman, I think in Florida on a drug charge for many years or something like that. That's where she got her first. Did you see? Did you see that rap star has a song out about her? You see that the lyrics that were released this week. No follow a rap star. Just made it made headlines. I didn't see Debbie. You should look up the juicy the layer. Now, I haven't all look up the lyrics. The game wrote some lyrics about his sexual activity with Kim Kardashian. Don't don't read the lyrics outlet. So we can't play the song. No, no. We can't play the song bleep it. I got it up here. Yeah. Just she was a passionate advocate for prison inmates who she believes have been treated unjustly. Her mouth in stressed? Oh my God. I can't believe what I'm reading. Wow. I am I'm closing this. And I was just leery. Okay. She met with the head of the state Senate this Toni Atkins, another looney from San Diego, and what she's pushing is free the vote act of any idea. What that is free the vote act. I'm going to guess, I don't know giving felons the right to vote. And that is correct. Oh god. Forty eight thousand California parolees will be able to cast ballots that includes murderers and Ray because because the Democrats need forty eight thousand more votes to that's right. It's it's another. It's another harvest what do you want to give felons votes? And then what will knock on your door and tell you how to vote we'll visit a fellow. That's right. And you bring them up. Welcome basket. Yeah. You'll do the harvesting you'll harvest the yes. Because those guys so strung out on drugs. They wouldn't know where the polling precincts legal in California. Everyone has to do that now. And I'm talking about, you know, our listeners out there with wanted to get props six past you should have been out there. Harvesting harvesting thing. It's legal. You can go to someone's house. And can I help you fill out your ballot though, you don't feel? Like voting. No, I'll tell I'll walk you through it. And then I'll carry it for you to the registrar's office. Yeah. This is like some kind of takeout food service. Now, she'll come over to your house and dash vote dash, well, everybody wants stuff delivered or in this case sent down. Right. They'll come right to your sofa. Oh, yeah. Take your vote. She tweeted in July that she hoped governor Jerry Brown, then governor Brown would signed an assembly Bill which prohibited male correctional officers from conducting Pat down searches on female inmates. I didn't know they did. Anyway, Brown did sign that Bill on August. Twentieth. So it's like the sea. It's all me Kardashian. She had an effect. It says here her visit made quite a stir with several lawmakers tweeting pictures of themselves with the celeb-. Oh. It began any any anyone who did that? It'd be taken to a mental institution. Yeah. The names of any of the idiots who did that. We do accept this poorly written article does not give me the first name of this politician. And I know I did not see it. I mentioned Toni Atkins McCarty is his name. And I believe it's a guy. It says it started when McCarty tweeted a selfie of himself with the Instagram superstar what a sad sack. Jesse Gabriel de Los Angeles who tweeted it was nice to see one of his constituents and here he is in the photo with are nothing. But these these people no, no intelligence at all always nice to welcome constituents from the forty fifth assembly district to the state capital. Thanks like, she knows. He's who's district. She said, no. Assemblywoman assemblyman Todd Gloria de San Diego tweeted a group photo featuring Kardashian west and several lawmakers writing when you show up to work and Kim Kardashian is there. Context she visited the legislature today to support criminal Justice reform. You know, the thing. The thing is when when family members of people who've been murdered show up to plead for one law or another the legislators, ignore them. You're right. "Folks. Everything's fine. How can I just realized that since I was detained in the conversation down the hall miles Hemos in the same conversation. So and he seems to be in the it's an income. They see what's going on. That's all right. It's the theater of the mind. Mark Larson here. Dan newness are Mike Slater coming up at noon. How's the mayor was was was upbeat? He was on point. He's of course, I one of our listeners John from Coronado called said he was there last night at the speech at Balboa theatre. And and. And he said he thought he was listening to a democrat because he said some nice things about Gavin Newsom and trended all play nice. The mayor certainly knows that. And we talked a lot about this that it's a whole new world. Now. Democratic city. That's this guy. Saying he sounded like a democrat. So last Republican who will ever hold office. Of course, he's a democrat. But I would say is the last Republican format. I mean who could win that. That's not exactly a long line. Now, they're thinking about not even having a Republican run for mayor next time this next election, not even having one you don't even get to pick. You can tell by the people stepping up and even Scott Peters today. Just during the show interesting. He decided he's not running for mayor. He's gonna stay do his job in congress. I thought he'd be the shoe into get Barbara breather. See that's one of the problems Barbara breeze on the city council. She's announced for mayor. So and and sure enough last night after the speech for mayor Faulkner. She was out there to say, well that was nice but Todd Gloria who's running it used to be on the council. But no, no is out there saying this is the way it's going to be. And if the mayor is trying to be more like the other side thinking they all play along. It's not going to be that easy.
