"You live on the radio with me A staff Kenny Romeyer this morning in for Todd Jeffries total be back with Tomorrow and Kitty. We just heated up right before the news. Donald and the news has now broken, NBC reports. Facebook has upheld the ban on Donald Trump on Facebook upheld Facebook holds the ban on Donald Trump. He can't play on Facebook. No Donald Trump. Wow, I'm really surprised. I am. I'm surprised. I'm not surprised, but but, you know, we we were talking. This was Facebook's kind of, you know, chance toe set an example. As far as free speech goes and freedom of expression goes and what supposedly, there's supposed to be all about. Frankly, I don't think I don't think that he had strong enough language on Facebook to get banned in the first place, but it was just given that the events surrounding it That That's what results and and they I think personally, I think they've just done him a big favor. If you ask me, they have definitely given both former President Trump and all Republicans who want to go there. An opportunity to campaign on this absolutely until 2022 beyond. Yes, I think this is going to backfire on if the Republicans were in charge of the house and or the Senate, I would even suggest you know Facebook's gonna be under additional regulatory scrutiny in all that given the Democrats are in charge. And on both sides of the aisle. They're getting plenty of money from the likes of Facebook and all the big high tech companies have been for quite some time. So I don't know if they're really gonna crack down on Facebook and Twitter and all the rest. Don't know if that's going to come out of D C or not, But in this case to your point, this is ah, huge opportunities for Trump and his orbit to say, Well, there let go. It's a gift, fake news and they're clamping down on free speech and vote for me. Well, Donald Trump has just launched his own. Communications plan Communications platform website. Whatever you want to call it and where you can, basically it least in his current form. You can listen to him. You can read him. You can't necessarily go back and forth with him. Ah, maybe that's yet to come. You can't necessarily respond to him at the moment, but it's certainly a place where he's going to have Ah, a digital voice. And so what? We've what we've read is this definitely hurts Trump. At least initially, from a dollars and cents standpoint because he was all set to start trying to raise a whole bunch of money and do ads and everything on Facebook, as he successfully done in the past. We've got Kevin calling from North Austin wants to respond. Torto this breaking story that Facebook Has upheld the ban of Donald Trump going forward. Hey, Kevin, Welcome to Todd. Don show. Hey, Good morning, guys. You know, I don't know why or YouTube just so up in arms about this. Thousands of people get banned from Facebook every day. It happens. He's not the home person to ever get banned. Face with the private company. They can do what they want. You. Nobody has a right to be on Facebook. Nobody said otherwise. Nobody said otherwise. Kevin, So of I just wanted to terrify acting like you guys acting like Oh, it's just a travesty that the president's not on there. No, I haven't said that, Kevin. Having said that, we would say is probably a gift to Donald Trump it Z. Probably now before that decision was made. You wouldn't saying that, don no. Go back and listen to the tape. You heard what you want to hear. I'm so tired of this. I'm so worn out on this either. Listen and accurately talk. About what's been said or shut up. Oh, no, Don't ho ho ho may either get your facts straight, pal. Get your facts straight. You're just being rude now. They know I'm no, you're being rude by trying to portray us as something other than we are or that we've said something other than what's been said. That's all I'm saying, you guys but then you shut up. I mean, come on that. Get it. Right is what I'm saying. Get it right like a dolphin here. So now you're back. Going off Now you're backing off. You are all amped up on boat up and ready to go. And then when we called you on it now you're wanted to back down. He's going. Yeah, less unfortunate. I don't like to tell somebody to shut up. But I'm just saying he wouldn't even acquired being portrayed as something that I'm not. I'm not gonna sit here and take that from him or anybody else. Well, I should be screaming too, because he was painting me in the same way. But we've done if you listen to go back and listen to the tape from about 7 45 to 8 o'clock we methodically laid out The process. The predictions by some the benefits to trump Some of the various angles on on how this comes about. We did talk about the number of pieces of content that they look out on a daily basis. We talked about how much garbage there is with that, right, right. So again, just I'm glad to talk about Everything from a factual standpoint, that's all we're asking. What? We're gonna let you take a deep breath here, and I need to do that. Let me in. Time out, Everybody cool down. We're gonna take a little break here. It's the tide and don show 51283605 90. "Melinda at 51283605 90. Now Here are Mark and Melinda. Good morning. 10 03. I'm Mark Caesar. Melinda's on today. And Clements is joining the live And how are you this morning? Mark? I am doing great is the winter wonderland in my home? I in my 30 plus years of Boston have never seen snow like this in Austin. And the cold like it is in Austin. It's good at our house. We still have electricity don't have hot water, but the electricity is going But it is. It is stunningly beautiful, but again, stunningly dangerous to be outside. Let's talk about the situation with the electricity. It's estimated that over 300,000 people have no electricity right now in the Austin metro area that Includes customers of Austin Energy Person, Alice Electric Cooperative, and some of the others who provide electricity in this area. And that can be a very dangerous type of a situation it I heard callers on a Todd don throughout the morning talking about health care concerns. One gentleman calling in saying is oxygen system needs electricity to work, And he was very worried. So this is a dangerous situation Market is very dangerous, and I don't know what's going on with Allstate Energy. I know some power lines. In some areas got a lot of ice last week, and I don't know it should not be this bad. I don't think I'm not electricity expert. But it seems like we are not handling the situation as well as we could or as well as we should. Again. I'm not an expert on this, but I'm thinking P I see power lines and my towards my backyard here that they're not sagging. They don't have ice on them. They've got snow on about this situation is not good, but you're right about the people on oxygen. And people of something happens with any type of condition that need to get to Dr Mirchi Room. It's just kind of you gotta hunker down on this thing. Yeah, It is very, very alarming that they're not able to handle this demand, and the statesman has report today indicating that part of the problem. Is the wind turbines in west Texas have frozen up. They're generating no electricity. They are now the number two source. Of electric generation in the state of Texas, right behind natural gas. But about half of the windmill capacity is now frozen up, and it's not generating any electricity. That has to be a part of this problem. It it has to be. You talked about natural gas Mark and I'm a proponent. Natural gas and proponent of oil and gas, especially natural. Glad gas which is clean, which is plentiful. It is plentiful and we need to be smart about this. I know. Ah, lot of people within our city and our global global warming. Folks want to get everything on the wind turbines. But this is this is number one proof positive. Out there by Abilene and Sweetwater, heading the love it better. They have miles and miles of these things, and they're locked down. This is not good for the state of Texas when you have so much plentiful natural gas available. No, absolutely of over 150,000 customers in the Austin Metro have no electricity, and it's been that way since about two or three o'clock this morning. Over the entire state. It's now two million people without electricity. ERCOT is the eyes, the group that coordinates and runs the electric grid throughout the entire state. And they keep adjusting their message as to what's happening Clearly, they're just not able to generate enough energy to meet the demand that's going on right now. If you got to believe that those frozen windmills are a key part of it, it's not the entire Equation, but it's part of it well at 2 11 this morning, I got a new emergency message said Dude, a record electric demand. Texas Electric grid operators directing rotating outages to protect electric grid reliability out of just simply 40 minutes for last length and frequency, the pen on severity of Of the event and says, prepare for possible power interruptions. I got that it to 11 this morning, but again, I'm lucky one. Our power has been on only thing. Don't have his hot water right now. I guess that's probably dealing with a Hot water heater We have out in the garage area. That's very, very cold, but hang in there for those people. It's it's difficult. It is so difficult and scary, quite scary mark for some people who need electricity to just to survive. Yes, And a part of the problem is they don't know when it's coming back on. So all of these people are in their homes. They feel isolated, and they're not finding out Okay, it could be noon. It's gonna be one o'clock. It's that uncertainty that just adds to the tension for them, And this is not a situation in other emergencies like that. When the power's off when you can hop in your car and go to a neighbor's house or go to a relative's house, because I tell you what I would not get outside right now. We live on a little bit of a hill and no way I would go down to my car because of the sheet of ice and then all this snow. Covering. We've got probably got about six inches. I think, Mark. I'm not sure why, but the had measured it, but I think it's around 4 to 6 inches at our house, So I know people have gotten a lot of heavier, heavier snow, But it is It's dangerous to the sad thing. That thing is, it's not going to be melting off this afternoon. Even though the sun is brilliantly beautiful right now, it's still cold. This could be outside. Yes, Here are the numbers 51283605 90. You can call us with your comments your questions. Here what's happening in your area? It's always a very, very good service. When you call in and tell everyone else who's listening in the big listening area. What you're experiencing what you've encountered how you're coping with things. 51283605 90 We want to salute.

"Telling to me. I'm sorry and helping me up. I don't want to see you, but it's still It shows his kind of, I don't know. Humanitarian side the side of him that is sensitive. So I'm thinking that if it gets a little too heated, and he's rocking Roy Jones a little too much with those head shots. Uh, there's a part of me that thinks Mike Tyson. The old Mike Tyson may come out and he may actually have a little bit of humanity for his his opponent here, and maybe not maybe pull a couple of his punches. I You know, I don't know. All I know is this. I want to see the fight. But I don't know if I'm willing to pay the money for eight round exodus. Basically, it's a 16 minute exhibition between 2 50 year old guys, You're essentially watching the sixth Rocky here. This is pretty much Yeah, absolutely. And you know what? I can't I still can't really justify paying forward and buying it. But I still am going to because At the end of the day. It's Mike Tyson. Yeah, that's Roy Jones Jr. And I hear tell that Evander Holyfield is looking like he wants to fight again. So if Mike Tyson looks good, I would Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson rematch. What seem almost like a legitimate fight like it wasn't some 50 year old because I bet advantage still has it. Yeah, I mean, I've heard men talk recently. He's a little punchy. Not quite as punchy is his one of his great opponents and a Riddick Bowe. But he's a little you remember it was. I guess it was seven. Years ago Now when he got into the ring with Mitt Romney Oh, my God. Remember that? Why did Mitt Romney do that? I don't know. I guess it was for charity, right? Do about but I You know what? Mad respect to Mitt Romney? Even I don't know if I would step in the ring even in an exhibition and he remember watching it and he didn't look too bad. He might have some old man strength in there. Yeah, so And if I if I remember correctly, Evander Holyfield Hey, did a pretty good job of poems and punches and not laying too? Too hard at Was Romney stuff? A candidate for President Times? I can't remember. This was I want to I heard it was after the candidate you ride. And so that's why I don't know why he did it, I guess only for charity, which is a great call doing good sherry. In fact, that there I've I've proposed some local charity boxing matches myself in a with certain public officials that not taking me up on the offer. That'd be fun. I'd love those. I mean, there's some communities that have the policeman, boxing and everything like that. I think that's that. I think that'd be a great way to open up. But you know, and get more involved with the police and have a relationship. So I I know so you So you say you're gonna pay for this Tyson fight? Yeah. Okay. All right. Well, I may actually have to show up at your house. Okay. All right. Well, you know you're gonna have to pitch in, so you know, I always do. I feel like I was pitching more than anybody. I'll get the chips Ugo. You do because you're the only other person that's as big of a fan design. Well, good stuff. So we've got a lot. You've got a lot of look forward to take your mind off of politics, Coronavirus and black Friday shopping all that city and you know, you could forget about it all with Longhorn game today at the Tyson fight tomorrow. So, yeah. Continue to feel thankful and grateful that you're you're living out there You're you're still healthy. You're able to listen to the mighty K O b. J M and take it into the weekend and have a great one. Yeah. Yeah, way we've I've only got about a minute and a half left here and so you know, just a is great to be able to sit down in here and join you for for the filling of the todd don show today. I know it was a bit of a different course that we took that maybe time non might normally taken, you know, but wave great. We're grateful for those of you that stuck around today. I'm grateful for all the calls that came in. Honestly, I I love the phones. I love the phone calls. I know. Sometimes they give people kind of like, I don't know. I'm gonna take too many phone calls to me. I love talking to all the people out there on a little bit more about you. I want to know what your weird quirks are and what you know, instead of just pop political talk all the time. I want to know why you think the way they are. And I wish I had another few hours to get to know you. Yeah, It's tough for me, you know, because I I'm a newsman in the newsroom Monday through Friday here has most of you probably know, And so Job to come in here. It's I can't necessarily just lay to throw down the gauntlet has toe Everything that I think about everything because you know, I still do believe and and walking that line of objectivity to some degree, So at the end of the day, it's really not my place to tell you what I think about most things. That's why I love these boxing conversation because I can actually tell you Here's where I stand on this. Tyson's gonna demolish Roy Jones, or, you know, whatever the case into our heated discussion, boxing discussions, too, so I don't know. And I go no well by far The most difficult country to deal with this. The U. S. He's talking about that Democrat left and how they were out to get him from the very get go. Wow. That's that's Ah, That's a big statement right there. Mr President. Tell me Who's the country? That's most difficult to deal with. Is it? Russia? China Is it? North Korea, Sir's North Korea. And I don't know well, but far The most difficult country to do with this. The U. S. There you go. That's President Trump just a few minutes ago on Fox News Now what Joe Biden wakes up and starts talking to the press will play his audio, But he's still sleeping it off in the basement. Yes, and obviously you can hear in Trump's wars. He sounds very tired. He had a last last day blitz yesterday around the country, and the turnout for Hiss rallies yesterday was on Be leave a ball rock star in the karaoke. Some places are rock star and you know in the guy never once looked at a proper man. He is just up there. Do you think he was in bed for that Fox interview on the phone? You think he was in bed at the White House? You know, I doubt it kind of propped up with some cushy pillows around him. To be honest with you. I think it was from the toilet. Probably so he's only human. Listen, it's the morning. You just got to get up before your legs go numb because I thought I heard some Eco Larry in North Austin is on the tide of Don show. Good morning. Good morning guys, just one of the comments about Mexican waters. Saying that black people shouldn't vote for Trump this voter intimidation and just another example of cancel culture. She is there She is the expert when it comes to the cancel culture and voter intimidation. She was the one that says when you see him get out in their face, get up in their face that restaurants remember that. Yeah, remember that a few months horribly horribly. She has become an incredibly aggressive person. And what's interesting she has. She has a low I Q. And she's telling black people of America. They're not smart enough to pick their own president. That's to me. That's an incredible insult. That's that is incredibly insulting that that woman is not Ah, she she's not right. She's really not. She should not be sitting where she she really, she said in a multimillion dollar gated community and in a white neighborhood that is anybody claiming that she's doing stuff for the black community, godly. Robert in San Antonio this morning. Hey, Robert. Robert. Morning, guys. You sir, I I just had a question. I just voted right now. And I mean, I was in a vote for chip ploy for Texas. But he wasn't even on the ballot and they didn't give me the option to write him in. I'm not sure if it's a precinct thing or what? Maybe you could help me out. I don't know about that. I have to look that up. What precinct? Are you in your in Senate. Tony also give us and give us an idea. Chip. Roy definitely covers your area, right? Yeah. I don't know what precinct the number was for God. I saw it written more there any was whether any state races on that ballot. I would said District 24 for us representative. Yeah, your district 21 is Chip Roy. Yeah, That's what I was looking for. You like you don't have to be in a different location. I don't know, man. Let's let's figure that maybe you need to make a phone call to find out. I mean, if it was, if you believe was supposed to be on there. It should. It should have been there. It could be you in a different location. I got looked at up. Let me dig a little bit deeper. Roberts, You're in San Antonio. So there you go. Sean. Good morning on the tide of Don show has Sean. Hey, guys. Good morning. Great show. Great couple shows these last few mornings Appreciate you taking my call. Hey, just the thing I love about, just want to get your thoughts on from the thing. I love about a lot of this stuff that you guys are talking about, especially today. I'm going to go into first gear for it's just basic, you know? It's basic if you drive around off. I've lived here for 20 years. You drive around Austin in this city since I've got here has never never plan properly to be a city and that's what was cool about it. When I got here, it was just It was a cool little pitch Talent liberal. I get it, but it was cool. We drive cars. We don't write, but wait. Can't finish an overpass. 1, 83 and 35 71 1 Any three mo package. Just the loop. That doesn't actually Luke. So why would I trust you with a bunch of my money to raise my property taxes when we can finish basic over, captain that should have been done honestly, 10 years ago. So I get that another city, the rail, the tree, and those things might work in other places, and I'm up for a solution for traffic and congestion. But, you know, let's do it. But that Trump a is not the solution, And I don't understand how you can look in the city. We live in right now with traffic and say that we've exhausted our our options here and you're satisfied enough to give the city that much money. It's just basic. Sure. Yeah, I mean, listen. If capital Metro was a business, it would have already been shut down. Oh, my God, no doubt about it. Now. I agree. It should be. I know I shouldn't be. You know, a massive profit maker. I get it. Public transportation never is. But it should be an insult. You know what I mean? It is so painful. I mean, we subsidize about 150 bucks per writer. On Capitol Metro's district. Think about that. Think about that, though you folks that have never, ever used public transportation never, ever will. Here in Austin yet what you are paying taxpayer money to do that. That's extraordinary. This is something properly is something that you will reap no benefits from whatsoever yet it might drive you out of Austin. It might close your business. Listen, a prop A if approved. Well gentrify historic black and brown neighborhoods in Austin. And the reason and the The reason I know that is true is because property taxes will go up, and typically, those poor neighborhoods were affected. First in the hardest rights with the higher property taxes, But even in proper, eh, They've included $300 million to relocate families to Maynor. Hey, them's the city themselves. The people that you've been complaining too about gentrification are going to gentrify you out of your historic neighborhood. If you vote Yes, Todd don show. Whether you're traveling or planning a family gathering really important to know for your good before you go. What I'm talking about is a covert 19 Saliva PCR test. That's the most accurate type available on better yet there's no invasive nasal swab necessary. Love that,.

"Now here are 705 Jeffries and the guy on the other side of the table. His name is Don Prior, and I'm not sure that's accurate or not, but that's what we're going with us. You could join us at 51283605 90. I don't think any harm. And minds were changed last night. When it comes to that vice presidential debate. I think all in all, Ah Mike Pence won because the challengers didn't make any progress. Pollster Frank Lunch. He spoke to a group of independent voters last night after the debates in a virtual town hall. This was for the Los Angeles Times and lunch asked them to describe in one sentence. You won. My penance was more effectual, and he was able to answer most questions with the ability to know exactly what he was talking about. I felt that he was a lot more composed and I don't know. I just wasn't a fan of her continual facial expressions. I don't know. I just felt like he was also mark imposed. Why defense? When I thought he had command of the issues. Tommy had command of the issues and Harris didn't look presidential to me. I think Hera struggled to put together really coherent reasons. For different questions. Well, I thought that Paris can about the people and I did feel that she looked present president and show in the debate. They focused a lot on the administration's efforts, Teo, you know, get a grip on this virus, you know, across this country. They were. She was very adamant about telling, you know, talking about the number of deaths of a number of cases and you could have Dunmore. You should've Dunmore. You should have told the truth. That kind of stuff. Ridiculous argument. I'm just curious. You know people out there listening. What do you think about the administration's efforts? When it comes to this virus? 51283605 90. What? What could they have done? Different? What could they have done better if there's anything at all? Are you? Are you happy? What letter grade? Would you give? Mike Pence, who led the Corona virus efforts. What kind of grade would you give him? Her argument was was absolutely ridiculous to say that because of the Trump administration. Over 200,000 lives were lost. It was a dumb way to approach that. Obviously, you have to look at the lives that were saved. Every life lost was a tragedy. No doubt that's a given. We got that. But she ahs we recall the original prediction early on was two million deaths to 20.2 million. Yeah, and and show her argument was absolutely pointless. It was baseless and it was just a stupid way to approach it show. I heard Ah lot of pundits giving her credit for that. I I couldn't I could not disagree more. Obviously, she didn't answer the stacking the Supreme Court question. But let's face it a lot of people when they're watching the debates there, looking at style points in this farce style points Hey, absolutely trance. Her her. Her condescending, smiling and laughing was a big distraction. It hurt her big time last night because she came across his extremely un likeable. Listen about 30. Minutes ago, we had a breaking story via Fox News the next Bait between the presidential candidates will be virtual. That's from the debate committee. That was the message in a Fox news alert. But now we're getting another news alert. Donald Trump will not participate in a virtual debate. Really? For now, for now. Well, what do you mean, for now? Well, because he plays he can play a game, so we'll see where he stands. "Don Prior here on the tide of Don show. Yeah, the Boston school district. Maybe. Well, they may find themselves a little bit trouble if on an estimated 100 and 50 teachers don't show up to work next week. That is the word from the union President Kim's air AFIS. They're still upset about. You know the plans for getting back into the classroom. They feel it's happening too fast is what Kenzi surfaces in the superintendent's is We're fine right now. If they don't show up because we're only a 25% capacity, we could figure it out. But that does become a problem. Whatever we switch to 50% capacity on Ginza office, says those teachers should be at home. You know the whole time, at least until we get a vaccine, he says. Jump in here at 51283605 90. So how they feel about other people, the frontline workers or not even the frontline workers, just other people that returned to their jobs. How they feel about that. Is it okay for everybody else, and I'm having a harder time every day with with this position. They're taking here. I understand why you can't understand that. Maybe maybe these individual teachers have issues. Well, maybe they do. We don't know. So I'm just going on on. You know how it appears. On the surface. They're just afraid to go back into your job, and I have. I have a bit of a problem with that, given all the people, their sacrifice. We need our kids in the class from any other teachers in the classroom. We need to get back to that, of course, but You know, I think there should be some flexibility at the very least. Well, I guess yes, Case by case case by case, But if it's just Ah, you know if you have Ah, large portion of the ST 150 people that are just afraid, period, but perfectly healthy yet we've got people going to work at H E. B and Lowe's and Home Depot every single day, you know, come on. You've got the most important job. There is a teacher. I don't think there's a more important job out there. I really don't Other than being a parent and you got to do your job. And and I think a lot of the fears every day are becoming less and less justified. Given the numbers here in Austin, it is 5 50, the U. S House has approved in the Corona virus relief package, but it's It's not like you to go any further. And you know there's a lot of talking. This bipartisan version of this bill continues. Here's news man, Jared Halpert, a $2.2 trillion covert related stimulus plan narrowly approved by the Democratic controlled House is little more than a negotiation tactic. A show of the response Democratic leaders insist is needed. We not only have a dollars today. We have a values debate. Still, I'm optimistic. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to continue talks with Treasury Secretary Stephen Yushin on a bipartisan compromise. The latest White House offer totals about $1.5 Trillion is a good proposal, but it's one that she's not interested in press secretary Kayleigh Mcenany calls the Democrat's plan not serious. Carrot. Halpern. Fox knew there You go. It is 5 51. Listen, if you take a walk along Ah, you know the intersection around 12th and shit con you'll find there's a couple of signs. On the street. They're banning alcohol consumption on the sidewalks. And here's the quotes from from Austin City Councilman Natasha Harper Madison. With that in mind, I think there was always some general underlying racism. You think about the 11th and 12 Street and MLK corridors in the nineties. They were primarily African American and Latin communities that, according to Natasha Harper, Madison, and there have been for decades certain neighborhoods where you could not consume alcohol in the public. Not mainly downtown around the U. T campus, but at least three neighborhoods east by 35 where you can't well, they made a change. Last night, the Austin City Council voted unanimously and passed a resolution. Sponsored by Harper, Madison's office that lifts the bands in those areas in the east and southeast parts of town hears when she says it was a product of a resolution that called for us to be able to change an ordinance that was in place that made it so that there were certain parts of town where you can have an open, open container and others where you couldn't just wasn't fair wasn't equitable, she says. Equity for me means Having access to an amenity. That is exactly how I see it. Some personal freedom. Having a beer in your neighborhood is a personal freedom and having it in one part of town and not another. Well, that's not equity is what she says. Well, and I think I might also have something to do that. We've got more and more restaurants and bars over there. And maybe you know that's that's gonna help with the the economic situation of that as well. Chazz Moore is the executive director for the Austin Justice Coalition, and says the fact It was a huge red circle in place where you can't drink on the East side is very much evidence. This was basically a racist policy, Morris says. Not surprised about the old ordinance Exciting. And you know the old master plan of the early 20th century Apparently That according to the story, they're on Fox seven news, but they, you know, remove that ordnance. Remove that measure, University of Texas the drag downtown Austin those you know, as well as an area directly south of the bridge. Well, keep those restrictions in place. In the meantime, advocates fill. This is a step in the right direction for all of Boston, which includes East Siders. Well, let's be very clear there was a certainly Ah, you know, the majority of the history of East Austin? Yeah, it's it's been, ah, minorities and now it is not only Black and brown and everything else. It's also largely wide as well. So it's a muchmore much more diverse community over there that used to be. I don't know if that was part of the motivation as well. But as it is right now, I don't see it is a racist, Paul. It's policy, but it sure that didn't make sense. It didn't make sense at all The other places like my neighborhood, your neighborhood or whatever would be able to do it. And not them. "Save Austin, now dot com I totally understand how some names could be kicked off that list. Maybe their name is on there twice. Maybe they really don't live in Austin. You know that sort of thing. But what are some of the issues that you had a problem with that they were boot names off the list. Yeah, and it's like they made these things up. I think these things have been reasons they used in the past. We believe having looked election law on and looking at the actual circumstances of how we collected signatures and timeline. That that some of these things don't apply. They threw some out due to missing missing dates. We have Ah, explanation for that that we think is compelling. They threw some out that are in the unincorporated areas in the city, which are are the people who vote in city elections that we think that there's a very compelling argument there as well. They wouldn't let us supplement Ah, the list that we turned in We we kept getting more of them. After we turned up the sermon on July 20th. We kept getting more. We have another 1000 or 2000 that came in The election laws kind of ambiguous about whether you can supplement or not. There's been some, uh, some emails circulating around some internal emails at City Hall kind of kind of highlighting the fact that the city was really concerned about this. This list of voters that want thes ordnance is back. Yeah, They're those emails, which we actually weren't a part of someone else did that and released him and sent us all this information. We look at it. There really appears as the clerk's office in the City Council was colluding, effectively colluding to ensure we were not going to be on the ballot November, and that's pretty troubling because that's called that's called election interference, isn't it? You would think I mean, this is the problem, right? The problem is, is that our ordinance wasn't going Teo to take to turn over the homeless giving ordinance it was going to put on the ballot has got voters choose right voters had no say in this. In fact, the council rush this through in June of last year with very little public feedback, and they have been really obstinate about how the public feels about this issue. But how it's destroying our city. So all we're saying is what you will vote on it. It's a huge thing. It's a huge policy decision. But what people vote there's no doubt this is the number one issue in Austin. I posted a video of Ben White Boulevard on my Facebook page of all the trash and you know the situation there. And I have it's it's been viewed over 15,000 times been shared almost 200 times. There's no doubt this is the number one issue that's resonating with Austin nuts right now. No doubt And the problem's getting worse. And you've heard me say this before. But, you know, the point time study last year excusing that was released in May of this year showed in 2019 are unhappy homeless population grew 45%. That was with the camping ordinance on Ly in effect for half of the year. We know that violent crime In 2019 went up 16% the fastest increase of five years and that in violent crime situations in 72 cases or 70% of cases where a homeless person is the victim. Another homeless person is the attacker. And in fact, we just just got some news. Crime stats from Ah, the police department and almost every single violent crime category is up here today. Murder significantly 2030 40% murder, You know, stabbings, arson, You name it. I mean, really scary doing this at a time when our police budget Was was cut by by one third by our City Council are unanimous vote, so unfortunately, things were getting worse in our city, and there's no question about that. But if people rise up when they say, look Austin's Progressive City. We want to go to left were direction. That's fine, but we do not want to have the homeless camping ordinance. We do not want our police budget to be cut by a third people go and vote for public safety and they put those issues first. We can change the direction he's going. Thank you, Matt. About the ability to perform its duties as city leaders, You know, T up some major cuts over the next six months or so with the police budget, But his police officials worry that decreases in staffing and budgetary roadblocks will hamper their ability to conduct proactive community policing Social justice advocates. They say those efforts Haven't been working anyway, is what the Austin Justice Coalition says Now at the end of made 2019 Austin police had seen 45 officers leave, including cadets and sworn officers, whether through resignations, retirement termination. One officer also died. Now through the end of May. This year, The department has lost 66 officers, 21 Mohr than the previous year, and with no cadet classes in the pipeline. That's bad. We're already short and this could we have a story earlier this morning. That population for Travis County alone is now 1.3 million people and you go and we're not on par with what the industry says We should have in the number of officers, you know, obviously the whole Ah, pulling all the voice forces around the country have a heck of a job ahead of them. As far as recruiting getting people interested. My only hope is that maybe a lot of this will will For some individuals mode motivate to me. More to be police officers, Teo, you know, to try Tio people that love their city and want to step up and don't want to see it stolen by anti for Yeah, you know that. You know the Justice Coalition. Exactly. Yeah. Let me step up and say, Hey, way love this city. Let's let's fix it. But maybe I shouldn't be surprised, but but one of the things that that I can't believe that apparently, are police start our Ah local government. It's not getting who want to defund the police that they're going to make. Any of these issues that they have a problem with, you know, excessive force or abuse or whatever. They're going to make those even more prevalent, Possibly because the police are going to be frustrated. They're going to be shorthanded there making the job more difficult. Do you think that means that things are going to run better? You Idiots. 7 42 Here, a K LBJ Todd Don show. My Friends have zero rats led by Brad He's the local owner and operator of Zero rez. "That would be responsible. That would be a responsible statement, right? I That would be a clear headed calm a collective thoughtful opinion. I agree, you know. I'm actually here, read a story last night that some collegiate football teams are talking about getting getting the athletes sick now, so that they're over it by the time football season to get their anti bodies, you know, it's like a chicken box party, you know, you know that kind of thing. You ever do that as a kid Chickenpox party. I don't believe I had. That was a thing in this body. I caught chickenpox. I think it was a first grade, but I don't believe it was a party. I think Billy down the street's got chickenpox. Go down there and play with him. You know? Yeah. What there was to do that We learned more about this virus. Maybe that's the way. I mean, Who knows? I've I've said under under my breath before God, She's getting such a burden. I wouldn't mind just getting it and getting it over with. So I get the antibodies. But, you know, then you hear those reports of well, people are getting it too. And three times and so you're not building up in your Soviet reports are all over the place all over the place really are All of you will even the CDC Mr Redfield Friday, about 45 minutes into that press conference when everybody's already tuned away. He said that they reported a dramatic spike in January in pneumonia cases and hey feels that some of those could have been coded, which insinuates It was here much much sooner than we thought it was you. "Bitcoins Hash Ribbons. Indicator just signaled a by the first time since the bottom of the market in two thousand and nineteen in the very beginning of two two thousand and nineteen to take a look at all the charts. We're GONNA take a look at all of the possible. Discriminating factors that might signal against this and maintain why the overall overall trend is to the downside but will look exactly what we want to see for that and I want to talk about today. The recent the recent rash of Youtube Censorship here on crypto content creation channels and talk about what the follow through has been on that. There's been a lot of updates on that. And as well as give you you guys the best. Ta that we possibly can. Today's exciting episode of Breaking Bitcoin. Take cap colonel. Todd Don I owe and this is breaking story. Hey guys welcome back to another exciting episode of Breaking Bitcoin. I'm your host. Justin Wise Lead analyst and senior mentor at Cracking CRYPTO CURRENCY DOT com. Hopefully guys are doing absolutely fantastic today. On December December thirtieth two thousand in nineteen. Just one day away from New Year's Eve and two days away from the New Year because they're doing fantastic weather you're watching us on Youtube. Twitch de live facebook live or on Roku with the investor news channel APP. Hope you guys had a fantastic weekend. Are Well rested up. You guys had a fantastic holiday season season. Thank you guys so much. Sorry we couldn't bring the show on Thursday and Friday myself and my daughter were feeling under the weather and it was a good opportunity to just enjoy the extended weekend. Enjoy the holidays with my family. You know family was coming in there. Were gifts everywhere. It's always kind of a crazy and Catholic time but highly enjoyable if your son cements are in the right place and you just focus focus on what's important in life which is in my opinion when we get toward the end of the year is reflecting on the actions that you've made or excuse me reflecting on the decisions that you've made in the preceding year looking at how that has changed you as a human being looking at kind of the fruits of your decisions looking at the fruits of your labor and developing your game plan for the next upcoming coming year. I'm one of those individuals who actually does Symbolically take the transition from one near from one year or in this case one decade Into the next quite seriously because it is a fantastic opportunity as a fantastic ritual digest. Reflect on what you've done and obviously as we talk about all the time that is so important being a traitor in this environment in this market or in general in any market or any environment you want to be in because as we've talked about time and time again being a successful trader requires having a plan Dan and sticking to it and reevaluating your plan on good data. You cannot build a system without good data and unless you're keeping good notes unless you're logging your trades aides. It becomes very difficult to build any sort of statistical database on which to evaluate your performance as a traitor unfortunately most novice traders just will not get this This is what they struggle with the most. This is probably the biggest This is probably the first pay your in a series trading environment that my students receive when they when they joined the group because we log all of our trades and were very passionate about that. We we push that very strongly because that is where real trading begins ends. If you haven't been logging your trades. I don't it doesn't really matter to me. In my opinion whether you've been profitable or unprofitable your undisciplined and there will come a moment in time when all all of a sudden what you've been doing previously no longer works for you and it is that moment and most traders experienced this because most traitors what I've noticed. Is that most traitors. When they initially Ashley enter into the market? They initially have a lucky streak. This isn't true for everybody but I do find that the on average this is more common than uncommon most traitors when they first entered through the market have a winning streak and they feel very elated by that they feel like they're on top of the world however they're not logging their trades they have very little trade strategy. They have very little disciplined and they have no risk management skills for the most part. There are some exceptions to this. But in general it doesn't really matter the outcome of the trade because eventually their luck streak ends and then the market turns against them and then all of the all they tend to have his strings of losers and it is very hard for them to focus on that and comprehend that and and push that back You know be able to move forward from that be able to move forward from that and develop a strategy Because they don't have anything to turn to they don't they don't have a trade journal that turn to Take notes and one thing that I recommend. Maybe I haven't said this before. But this is a this is definitely a good side In addition to logging trades should have a journal on your desk right. This isn't my trading desk. This is just the production. Death might might trading desks over here but I have a journal on my desk and I just write in it all the time. You guys can write notes as you trade. If you're taking discretionary setup taking notes is invaluable and just dated and that way you can go back and look at that all the time you know you should do this for any activity that you're in and this doesn't matter whether you are are inventing things or cooking or trading or it doesn't matter what you're doing odd note taking is what I've noticed in multiple industries because I also have a hobby you of leather working. I also have a couple of other Hobbies that involve creativity and note. Taking is is is key to me and every for the most part every successful individual that I've met In any sort of creative field in any sort of field that requires a little bit of discretion they take notes they take notes and they learn they built some form of database. So if you guys have taken nothing from this year of two thousand nineteen of watching the shell please take this forward with you into the year. Two Thousand Twenty with your trading and with life in general take notes so that you can learn from your mistakes. There's no such thing as a mistake that we can't learn from. But what if you put yourself in an environment where you can't learn from that mistake because you didn't write the mistake down or your observations about the mistake. Then it becomes very difficult to actually learn from the mistake steak and you get caught in this wheel of nod understanding why things are happening to you and you become an inert piece of matter drifting wherever the universe tends to blow you. You don't WanNa be that you want to be a master of the universe not an inert piece of matter being blown by the winds of diamond destiny so we've got a fantastic show for you guys today. We're GONNA be talking about the recent recent rash of censorship of Youtube content creators here on Youtube regarding crypto currency. When last we spoke last week said wasn't really concerned about this and we did get some some updates on this over the weekend as youtube came out? Google came out and said this was a mistake They have for the most part from what I've seen That has largely gone away. Or excuse me. I would say that the outcry on this is slightly die down and I can only speculate as to whether it was the outcry from the community which I would actually we say was not that strong. This isn't really situation where I can like clearly point to the community or excuse me a community rallying together in a large stream of outcry. 'cause I didn't really we see that I did see some. I'm not saying that there wasn't any outcry but it didn't seem like any foreign sort of overwhelming force however Google did admit that it was a mistake. I cannot CanNot attest to whether videos have been restored as I said. Our channel wasn't directly affected other channels that I communicate with weren't directly affected. I am aware of some channels that were affected for example. I know the Kristen was affected. Ivan on tech name a few and they're not really know the status of whether they're videos have been restored or not but I do know the Google's come out and admitted this was a mistake that they didn't mean to do this our of course. We will be speculating and much less than other individuals out. There speculating right now. On what are the long term ramifications of the kind of the long term meanings of this. Was this really a mistake. Was this in a glitch. Is it really plausible. That this was a Because of the scope of this was this really Was this really possible that this was a mistake. Jake of lower level employees in charge of the moderation taking liberties While upper management off on Christmas vacation I do find that a little implausible. Also of course always having a backup plan. But we'll talk about that. We'll talk about. We'll we'll talk about Excuse me we'll also be talking about madam ask being banned in the ANDROID store. The APP store. Excuse me the Google play store and You know Kinda that that becomes a compounding factor and also the realization that the Google stepped into banking recently. So we're GONNA talk about all that but I don't look at the charts before we begin I do want to thank I do want to thank the sponsor of today's show Koi now for most of us in the CRYPTO Currency Game A. We're going to be trading spots coins whether that's bitcoin or old coins on Bina. The answer Beatrix or but Phoenix or got through Phoenix. But any any exchange that you guys are GONNA be purchasing or trading your spot coins on a generally. We're going to be managing multiple accounts that can quickly become a headache. So Coy has developed a turnkey solution. I quite like it actually had an opportunity to play with the APP. More over the weekend. I it's you know it's it's it's it's an ability in an option to manage all of your accounts from one seamless location and my big concern with products that I've seen that have done this prior to to what I've seen Kawagoe is that it always requires you to trust some third party service with your. Api Keys if you're GONNA be plugging your API keys in case the remotely store. Excuse me they're actually stored on your local machine gene encrypted on your local machine your API keys do not touch coygo survey the only thing that touches Koi server is pull requests from the exchange. API's to pull price data and things like that is really popular arbitrage traders because you can quickly move funds between exchanges and capitalize on arbitrage opportunities. So there's a lot of individ or I wouldn't say that there's a lot of good seamless turn turnkey Platforms out there for managing multiple accounts and exchanges. Not on your local machine and not the way the QUACO does Sell recommend you guys to give it a try. There is a link down in their scriptures QUACO DOT cracking CRYPTO CURRENCY DOT com.
