But i guess he didn't win to they have a fedex now order player earth fire wind can captain planet age over there. the automotive somber note tanner hudson lost his father. And that's why he missed practice on thursday. They were apparently very close per mark cook and it was a sudden law sell. Our condolences are with the hudson family. Very fab sean. Payton announced that. Hey some hill. We'll get the start. This week was drew. Brees being out now. Did he announced that. Because i saw and put out a statement saying i haven't decided yet. Well i don't know which one came first right diana rossini of espn reports. That james will not be part of any offense of packages on sunday. What yeah all some say san and keep note of that if she's wrong okay. Ari and tatum took no starting reps at practice this week. Wait so tasting. Took no now. He took all this. Id chess so that's that kind of surprised me but at the same time because i expected them to be. The second stringer behind drew brees. He's on the depth chart that way. I was browsing. They put Davis wisden after drew. Brees got hurt. Yeah but i'd like. I'd like to see james to get out there. Sling tomorrow of the. I wanna know like offsides improved. We've got a big game coming up monday night. And according to molly and myself we are going to win this sucker to happen. Did you see us. Having made improvements from the saints game to the carolina game. Which i presume you would say. Yes because we won like the issues that we had in the new orleans game. Did we improve on this. Okay yeah we. We were very much much better. Carolina came we played. I'd give us a b plus. okay. I'm gonna say minus minus b. Plus i think the same thing. Sure we'll go with that and You know the level opponent was different of course but as far as just looking at us we played a better game and we didn't screw up. Didn't we have really the one bad play by whitehead where he was a few years. We had the missed tackles dropped passes on that. We played a good good game not spectacular other than brady and ronald jones. But hey that's all you need now. Those guys are killing it out. There brady was beautiful passes making good decisions. Love it love it you don. I'm dan. hey guys man. Let's get excited about this monday night. Football game it's funny. I still got people asking need them and they see me walking around with my bucket. Your stuff they're like. Hey y'all got brady. This year my man have been a bucket here fan for thirty years. Now anyone ever on talk about is brady thought we talking about two sons cool. I'll take. "Yeah I mean it's it's gotta be Gregg Allman Sage No almond almond had the most. I have the most respect for Goldman. So he's probably the best foreign. Yeah there's A. There's a piece of me that wants to say something like Rick Stroud but I don't think that's right. Rick Rick I think has a whole different role. Yeah Greg Allman. He certainly the voice. He certainly the one who you know just sort of comes alongside and he always seems to be there. Are you know What about and I know? This is a little unfair because he's not an immediate reward about Scott Smith from BUCCANEERS DOT COM. That's a much better comparison to be honest. He really so which one does Scott Smith. You're picking Scott's me if I had to pick and you're right because as you say the media room like I'm going around like all the desks around the trying to picture who who sit like the only one I was thinking of was like Fred Goodall from from the Associated Press. That's it that's all the he's the mute but yeah he's is quiet man he works but Yeah that's got Smith probably would lock that down a little bit more than Greg. I don't know he's the keeper. The books I guess the keeper of Knowledge. Are You WanNa Change Your answer. No I'm sticking with Gregg allman right. There you go wait. Let's say Look Doc. Let's say look here at the transactions over the buccaneers Terrell suggs no not for the buccaneers transaction for the buccaneers as we knew last week TJ Logan Logan broke his thumb or finger pinky ring finger. I don't know one of the fingers on one of his hands. He is on injured reserve. They actually made that move this week. They didn't make that last week. mm-hmm and and I WANNA say speaking of Gregg Allman. I think it was Greg Allman. who kind of talks about like why? They didn't go ahead and bring somebody up to fill his spot on the fifty three remain roster and it was. It was an interesting thing you just said. Say Look if you bring somebody up on the fifty three man roster. They're probably not playing. They're going to be an active. But now you owe that person the game check back and you're still going to have to pay TJ Logan anyway like it made sense to me like oh well I guess you know the role of to to this week. Make that happen this week so anyway I guess I I mean now. I don't know I understand the logic but I mean I don't know if that's like we'll just wait 'til Monday so we don't have to spend ten thousand thousand dollars. I mean twenty six. Is the the League minimum for a game check. That's like it's been but if you're not going to have like if you're going to bring somebody in who will play that's different but somebody to bring somebody in for one day who's just going to be inactive that can yeah that that doesn't make any sense. Ed Let's start his growth with the team for twenty six out thousand dollars learn. How was to go to the play at home? He could like got fitted for all stuff he could. He hit the ground running Monday. But no but no we had to save twenty six grand Yeah I I don't. I don't think that makes a hill beans. It goes on injured reserve to replace him. They bring up Ishmael hyman from the wide receiver room from the practice squad in the wide. Receiver Steve Room and put him on the active roster. Now that guy yeah now I think that's significant because we'll talk about this a little bit more later but with the injury injury to Mike Evans. Scotty Miller still on the men and apparently he's going to be back so that's good by you know we're GonNa miss you know. Losing my Kevin's is a big thing. You know we we. We were kind of up against our depth issues. I think this past week with ride receivers right So Israel Hyman. He's been with the team like all season right practice squad. Yeah Yeah Yeah. Yeah so he's been around to replace him on the practice squad. They signed another wide receiver. Trayvon Thompson to Scott now. Who is don't care about unless he ever makes the active roster so Mike did you ever get to go to training camp. Did you watch this meal hyman. I know rent you did your brother Chime in about him in a second but I think he was actually a later. Addition Probably made season. I'll say yeah but he's been on the practice squad for I think at least a few weeks now and they say they say he's got speed he can make plays downfield so kind of matches. What Bruce Arians likes O'Brien I saw we went to Orlando to watch policy game? Oh was he was. He had an Apollo this past sure. Yeah awesome okay using Apollo. So that's about all I got and Mike's right like I don't remember him from training camp so I'm GonNa go with. Yeah he just. I got signed a few weeks ago. We had lodge and those guys like I would. I'm an and that you know and I mean honestly Ran I think what you bring up. They're just illustrates the idea of AF the lines. And what I fear honestly is what's GonNa Happen with the XFL is you're GonNa have all these players but we're not gonNA know who they are and you're not going to track back with them beyond really even their season. You Know I. It's kind of like a minor league baseball. They go up. They go down and you don't really have teams so to speak. It's just guys that are there. There's no We'll see I wrote the. XFL Does better. I really do okay. So anyway So that's that's really it. Teams are relatively quiet in terms of transactions. Actions here over the last bunch of weeks. But what do you guys think about the idea Mike Evans being out for the season. We'll transition into that and kind of have this conversation. Mike Evans is out for the season. But apparently they're not not planning on placing him on I r Good move bad move. It's continues eat up roster spot. What do you think Mike? I think that's mainly to keep them eligible for the he pro bowl So I mean I'm sure he wants to play in that and You know if he doesn't go on I R and then they can you know you can play in the game so you know. Obviously it's significant enough to mystics last three games which is a big deal for the offense. It hurts but At the same time I I think it's actually a blessing in disguise. I think you'll be able to see more of what you have ingest. In Watson and Scotty Miller Rishaad paramedic cetera actually think it's Kinda good thing for Janus because it kind of forces them to spread the ball around like he did last week so it could be a bonus in into that affect. Yeah Mike Mike you know. Hit the nail on the head there at at least for me I'm excited like Mike thousand yards right We're not going to the play offs so okay shut down for the year fine. It's all right. You know what Mike and Mike Evans isn't going to impress me or not. Impressed me for these last three games. Like I know as a buck. San What we have in Mike Evans But it gives a chance for you. Know the extra between Perryman to blossom little more Scotty Miller is going to get more attempts to see if he's GonNa stick his nose in there on some of these contested catches or is he just going to be. You know the not on route. Guy Justin Watson who. I have no idea why he did get on the field before because all he did was I was going to catch the ball You know he was like a bigger Adam Humphreys like you know. He wasn't spectacular but when he threw him he was wearing was supposed to be any beginning. Caught the ball and he fights for it. So that's something good and then it'll be interesting is well to see everyone talking about. Oh we have to number one wide receivers well okay. Member Old Alvin Harper. It was number two in Dallas and Underneath Michael Irvin and then the bucks sign huge free agency deal and they found it real quick if that he was not a number one wide receiver. He needed a Michael Irvin too. Good to be effective so I do think Godwin is better better than Alvin Harper. But I WANNA see if if you know all these double teams that we expect beyond Gob and if they're gonNA take them to straight out of the game or is he going to still be the able to compete You know if James starts feeding the ball is he still going to be impactful. The only thing that's not fair about that is that Jameson sheer has learned to Like you know if he can go somewhere else but he has Chris Guide what So but but now he doesn't have Chris Cowan of Chris goblins doubled. He still might try to squeeze in it and there are a little bit more so that's what I'm excited to see. I'm excited to see Jay. It make sure I was wrong about Perryman and See what Scotty Miller can do and then of course. OJ Howard who slowly very quietly is getting you know four or five catches which is sixty eight eighty yards a game now. The past couple of weeks seems like he's getting his legs under and finally for the season just in time to go playoff. Michael did you guys. Ah I don't know how much film you've looked at from this past week yet. or or what's going on. But as far as post Mike Evans injury. Did you guys you know. Pick up anything looking at film as far as the remaining wide receivers and how they performed. I think everything pretty much ran the same. It was all a you know pretty much. Everything went to same. Once Mike went out. They weren't really running anything different that I saw You know it was just stepping up like like I said you know just I watson Perelman those guys were making plays so nothing really different pan really. The colts didn't do anything differently. Either they kinda ran their defense. It was mainly mainly zone defense throughout the game. And you know James just did a good job of finding guys in in the open spots and they continue to attack And as far as talking about Godwin I don't no I don't think the coverage is going to change very much. They might shade more to him. Now since Mike is out but Godwin just knows how to get. Open guys extreme route runner. So I don't I don't think it's really GonNa Affect Anybody Going forward To to be honest. Yeah and I think that helps all of sears. Last last game You know they're the colts nickel who might be the rest cover guy more I want to say the DJ more maybe but he was our and and that that pretty much like when we went to Seattle we had to play man. It didn't matter we were. We had to play man. Because you know Carlton Davis was out and Dean was in there and he didn't understand stand out of play zone yet so we had to play man and I think that's just what happened with the colts like without their nickel corner in there. We have. We're GONNA play zone. That's our best chance to..

"It's just how all the secondary response to it you know but in this game I'm looking at these open receivers and I'm like there's no way nobody in the secondary could even get to this guy in time so that's my conclusion but no matter how it happens whose fault it was we gotta win. We look damn good doing it by game. Good game name. That's what it's all about man. That's what it's all about like that post you put on twitter about James is like just going to burn now I was GonNa Entertainment as it was great. It's just sell appropriate perfectly describes and love or hate ate him. You agree with that sentiment. God James put faith in this game and not a pump fake to his receiver that he's going to throw to which is normally what he'd done. I'll never understand that one. I don't think he understands the purpose of pumping and he didn't really do a pump fake. He gives a half face that real long wind up it was probably normal. Pump fake somebody linked to watch the video. I do break down kind of how that pump fake affected affected the whole secondary and lift just Watson Wide Open in the end zone ALCON. It just goes to show how effective pump fakes came. Be If you I use them correctly because yeah he did he did a pump to the right side of the field and the whole secondary. Turn that away and Kinda shifted to spreads out of the field and then he turned around it to the left Centerfield. He didn't throw it to just a lot zone. But you're just getting greedy at this point over four hundred fifty yards and I'm over here. It can had another touchdown. Good game good game. That's good. That's fun stuff. It's fun stuff I'll tell you. What the tour lions we put a beat down on us? I feel bad badly. I feel a little bad. I've always liked them kind of because they've been in the same boat as us for years. I've always liked Tom when we played them in black and blue division we are when they're saying division. NFC North. They were always a tough tough team on their forget. The keyshawn Johnson to win across the Middle One time again clobbered. He was bleeding out the nose to mouth. He was hurt. And that's when I got a lot of respect keyshawn Johnson because he went off cleaned up a little bit off cleaned leaned up went right back in that game but Detroit lions always played US tough or a couple years ago we played them. No spent had a great game We ended up winning last minute but I think this is going to be a total total. Beat down this game with the colts game should not have been close. It should have been close at all as well as close as because Bruce Arians said we'd like to spot teams fourteen seventeen points going in the first quarter which is basically what we did. We twenty-five much there we spot them at least ten calls and a touchdown for thirteen point. Yeah it's better average which teams thirteen points. That's why we have to put up so many. You could really tell this week. After the game that the players have noticed the difference. They all talked about how in years past we will would have lost a game like this. which is what everybody was saying which is funny because I said that two weeks ago we would have lost this game? Which one was it Jacksonville? I can't remember but yeah you could definitely notice that this team is. This is a totally different team. Mentality was that we've seen in ten years and scraping crazy Gregg allman had an article or tweet the athletic Tampa Bay rather but I think that's great. The Bucks had lost twenty nine consecutive games in which they'd trail that anytime by eight points or more and that ended with this game. Yeah that's funny in. This is something we've discussed. How people like to bring up all these stats about the buccaneers? You know and I'm like we've just for the past decade say anything and you'RE GONNA yeah. Yeah the buccaneers of laws so many so consecutive home games. We've lost a whole bunch of games we've been doing for the past ten years. Lose Games twenty nine games. That's like almost two seasons Florence. That's pretty mad. We currently have the third highest scoring offense behind Baltimore and the forty niners shocks me most about that. Is that the Baltimore and forty. The niners have high scoring offense who saw the forty niners did. Put up a forty six points against against the saints this weekend. How's the high flying game? When did not expect no? I didn't either. Bench drew brees fantasy. Football put fifty points so to get us still. Don't we'll have Tom. Brady was my options within. Now thank you got me fifteen points fifteen. Yeah still once again fighting for the second tied for last place. I'm not going down without a fight. He lost the time raker though Matt Gay is fourth among NFL kickers in scoring and six in made field goals. He's hit eighty eight point. Nine percent and Dan is second best in bucks history behind Connor Barth Connor. Barth is the most the best. He's got kind of Barthet. Ninety two point nine percent success ratio Matt Gay has eight point nine percent right now. I think we've found our kicker future at least four years. He just fits in with this group. It's just a it's a Shimmy that I like Jimmy we make a roster move today. We promoted wide receiver Ishmail Hyman to the active roster. Now that's because Mike Evans is going to be out for at least next week. Yeah and we can't. TJ Logan on. I are still okay. So Mike Evans Raza Right now. We don't know what his status for the rest of the season but he will not play next week and then Scotty Miller. He's got his nagging hamstring injuries. So I just said he will not play but it's very doubtful that play. That's the official word. What was it? What did you say Scotty? Eddie Miller too has a hamstring injury. It's all it's all like him. I want to see him. Get the ball just speed at one time. These excellent yeah. He's had a hamstring all. the-the everyone get knee. Injuries used to mean you were out in a lot of times you career would be over in now. ACL MC L. Injuries. Aren't that bad. Go go fix some up and come back and play what Adrian Peterson I think have to. He's still in the League fighting it out. I wonder when hamstring injuries are going to be like that. You know you get a hamstring injury. And they do that surgery or give you a pill or injection or something like that and you're back out there. It's a lot of injuries across the league this week. A lot of it is most likely due to teams being out of the playoffs. So you know a lot of these veteran guys who have their employment lock down for next year are you. Do you know like why. Play this other. We this happens bread. GRIME has confirmed at force. We all suspect but brigands confirmed to force podcast. That players do fake injuries. Yeah that the Falcons Lost Calvin Ridley Tie our proposal. Falcons team hasn't gone out to.

"To start with this report that more and more US colleges are allowing students to bring their emotional support animals to the classroom and to their school dorms on campus. And the reason they're doing this is fear of being sued. There's already been several cases where universities have the shell down quite a bit of money because they had not accommodated the emotional support animals there on campus and some of these universities and colleges say they look at federal laws on disabilities. Some of these students and their parents claim the kids have a disability, and they can't make it without a support animal therefore, the victims of discrimination, and they need money from the colleges if they can't bring their support animals to class. And the door. There's another point to this to one of the administrators at a college says students are evolving TJ Logan, vice president of student affairs at temple university says we see students evolving their needs are evolving to and so we're accommodating, those evolving needs of today's college students in some cases need an emotional support animal. I don't know that I call that evolving. Devolving don't you? That's what I call. I'm concerned that we have people who can't make it through the day on their own without a kitty cat or a puppy dog within well, and one of the vice presidents at these universities said something and it made me go white. They were talking about the research says the animals make you feel positive. They teach you how to care and love for something. And there's a routine piece to have an animal. I can completely understand that. But I don't understand where in that. You have to take that animal everywhere you go. Yeah. I think you're talking about Dr dawn Mesa Sou flare as president of student affairs at LaSalle university. Here's the sound bite that goes along with that point. You just made by research that animals make you feel positive. They teach you how to care and love something. Visit routine piece of having an animal. Why would we not welcome something that's going to help our students based successful. And again, my question is why do they have to take them the campus? I can totally get. Coming home to a dog and a cat. That's going to just fill you with unconditional love. And it's there, and you're taking care of it and part of the routine just makes you feel good. Why pick it up and take it every single place you go. Well, apparently, we have more and more young Americans who cannot go to class unless they had that animal with them. One of those is Samho Nakao ski he's a student at temple university animal like really like house Mining's -iety in my mental health. So he gives me a sense of purpose to get up in white, dude. Things of my day. I didn't really go out socially as much. I didn't join as many clubs because it was too anxious to so I feel like I would still be in that place not willing making as many fans. I persuaded now now I think somewhere along the way. We have decided that animals or what's going to help with anxiety. And I'm not saying that it doesn't. But somehow it then became a trend to have them and call them emotional support animals, and for it to be a trend because it looks cool. And you know, so and so gets to take their pet. I saw on here. One of them had a flying Turkey. Okay. What I just don't understand. It's trend. Does it really help? What research has been done? I am Agean having an animal at home that you take care of. Yes. I think it does help you. But what research has been done that? If you take that animal everywhere, you go you're better. Well, Dr thea Gallagher is director of the center for the study of anxiety, and Dr Gallagher says without a question, this is helpful to certain students. They're able to cope with the daily rigors and challenges of going to college. Here's more. From the good doctor something about the sensory, touch is helpful for a lot of people and something about feeling less. Alone is helpful because we know isolation can make people feel more down than depressing. And she challenges the skeptics in you. And I are skeptics, yes. What is the harm in allowing them to bring their support animals to the classroom or the dorm? Well, a we can't even have peanuts in classrooms, any more because of allergies. But it's okay. If someone has a cat or dog allergy you to suffer through it or Turkey allergy or whatever the allergy may be whatever animal they've decided it's going to help them. Everybody else just has to suffer through it. Because it makes you feel better. I mean, that's not being taken into consideration here, and to she said that having these something that makes them not feel lonely. Okay. Well, when you're going out in you're going to class, you're surrounded by a lot of people. Why would you need that that support right then in classroom? You're probably not going to be the most social anyway because about learning. Yeah. Even if the animals there if you are that shy and withdrawn you're still not going to talk. To the people around. You are you know, I don't think the animal give boost you enough to to make you the social person all of a sudden if that's just not who you are here were the numbers five one two eight three six zero five ninety you can call us or you can text us. This story says a number of universities that balked at allowing the emotional support animals have been slammed with lawsuits, and there are some eye-popping payouts. One hundred grand a hundred and fifty grand these students, and we're talking about emotional support animals, not service animals, which are specifically trained for very specific purposes. These support animals range from dogs two cats, Guinea pigs. Hey. Salamanders different types of lizards. It runs the gamut here, according to this story. I would like to know and all of these settlements that these universities have reached what was the? I guess the research the proof that this was indeed an emotional support animal is that I go and say, I really need something to get anxious, and they say, well, you probably should get an animal. You know, have it. It may make you feel better. Okay. But at what point does it say the doctor saying, I prescribe this animal to go everywhere with Melinda. She goes. And I it makes her feel better. If she does not have it. She's just not a functioning person. The other story doesn't really cite any cases where psychiatrist wrote a prescription and said so-and-so needs the dog to go everywhere with him or her. Yeah. I got a feeling these people that paid out these universities paid out did so to to keep it quiet to not look bad. In twenty twenty LA Salle university will launch a dog friendly resident's hall to help accommodate students with emotional support animals. So that will be an entire dorm or a section of a dorm that welcomes these students who need an emotional support animal. You know, what I prefer that over? We just have to accept it everywhere that way, I know. I don't want to sign up for that hall because there's probably going to be a lot of barking dogs or meowing cat or whatever. And I it's not something that I want to be around. So I'm gonna go sign up to be in a different dorm or hall. Yes. So I can applaud that at least I know where they're going to be. And I don't have to worry. If I have allergies that I'm I know. Okay. I don't go there. Yeah. Imagined you arrive first day for the semester, you've never met your roommate in the dorm you walked in there. And he's got some kind of a lizard or something. This is my emotional support lizard. Yeah, we wouldn't be I I don't do lizards. Freak me out. Let's see started off with Mark on the Mark. And Melendez show. It's ten eleven. Hey, mark. Good morning. How are you? I'm good. I'll have to think about this overly accommodating, these people. Later. They're gonna want to take these animals to the workplace and don't tell me that isn't going to happen because they sued the university sooner or later, they'll soon employer. So let's think about this. You're in the hospital, you're recovering from a major major surgery, and you've got a very lengthy, surgical wound and your nurse walks in you, see her put down her dog, and then she perceives detract to redress your wound. Do you want that? Yeah. No, you're you're right. They will never make the transition to become self reliant, independent grownups after college if they're coddled like this. Thank you, Mark. Well, and that's what it seems like again the trend that it is to do. This is to coddle these individuals in let me bend over backwards to make every single accommodation for you. Because you feel like you can't function without it grand valley state university paid forty thousand dollars to settle a lawsuit from a student who sued after the college said, no you cannot bring your emotional support Guinea pig to the classrooms or the dorm room, the university of Nebraska paid one hundred forty thousand dollars to settle a lawsuit after a student was denied bringing an emotional support dog to class. That's what I'm talking about. When I say some of these payouts are astonishing. Well, yeah. And that's why I would like to know more. I mean, what support did they have? You go. Yep. You know, what we you that money? What what was there for the university? I think honestly, I think they did it. So that their university didn't go. Kent state university won't allow dogs on campus. "Just kind of slid to his left ever so slightly to buy some time to get rid of that throw. I mean, everything was on point. He seemed like he was getting them into the right plays all day long. And just throwing the ball with the purpose. Like there was no, no hesitancy. There was no doubting himself. It was just get the ball throw the ball. And he was on the money all day long. It was I mean like I said best game. He's definitely played this year. And by far best game. He's played maybe ever certain. Yeah. Terms of statistical records definitely and in terms of decision making accuracy in the whole deal. He just he was just in complete control. We both agree. Obviously. That's something. We had to touch on one other thing I'll touch onto. I mean, we've got three. But next thing I'll touch on is the defense, and I'm sure you wanna talk about this too. But you know, outside of when the the defense kinda got over their first quarter jitters or finally woke up or whatever you wanna call it. They put the clamps down on the cardinals offense the cards. I drive the. Seventy six yards on nine place. They scored that touchdown Larry FitzGerald, obviously to open the game next possession. They drove down the field. Thirty two yards. Settle for that field goal. That's ten nothing. Lead hundred eight yards of offense to two drives for the cardinals. And after that the next three quarters with Josh Rosen and that offense they wanna total of twenty six yards. The average eight and a half yards on offense a quarter cluding misfield goal for turnover a possession. And then the James interception. Even on the cards. First repossessions with a chance to score the defense had to false start penalties on the drive, obviously some self inflicted wounds on the cards second drive that was set up by good field position by that thirty three yard punt return from TJ Logan. Then the misfield goal was set up by a rivers fumble. It could have been a lot worse. There were some bad things that happen. The first three drives where they're even imposition to get point. So, you know, even still back to back drives, they they could have been much worse. To charter defense allowed the fewest yards since two thousand ten they only allowed one hundred forty nine yards of offense on Sunday. And man, we are starting to see a change in this defense with Joey Bosa back and almost one hundred percent. And I know this is the cardinals and they're not a good team. And that's fine. But passers look the chargers gave the Browns their only win two years ago. You know, it's not like they blow out bad teams. They did on Sunday. Yeah. They definitely did. And I really thought that the defensive line and the offensive line for the chargers deserved a lot of credit for basically just deciding enough was enough and taking over your strategy in that game. After that sack of rivers that that resulted in a fumble on the second possession. It just seemed like the offense of line took over the line of scrimmage. The offense came out. They threw that that double move to Travis. To start the third drive. And it was just like here we come. There's nothing you can do about it. Either get out of the way or get run over and they ran over on offense. And you mentioned it on defense that second drive that ended in the field goal. Derwyn gets pass break up in the end zone to to end that drive. The wo- sue recovers a wheel route to chase down the fullback and break up a pass in the end zone and from there. It was just like it was just all downhill from there..

"Alex Kemp as the chargers are wearing their Royal blue with gold numbers and the cardinals wearing their road whites with white pants and white helmets teams wearing white helmets. And the chargers who many times come into the stadium to a raucous road atmosphere today. Much more home friendly as about three quarters of the stands twenty seven thousand seats in this soccer stadium. Which actually used to host. Cycling in the Eighty-four Olympics. Is that right? Yeah. I remember the eighty four Olympics in Los Angeles. The only time there was no traffic in LA because they people work different hours became third Shifter's, they figured it out and then the Olympics left, and they said, let's go back to fighting traffic on the four zero five they expanded the freeways to twenty four lanes wide. And they're still only scoring these guys don't like the west coast. Except for the fact that it is beautiful and sunny every day just like it is here. For the chargers. Michael badgley, new kicker. They call him the money badger. Although he missed an extra point last week. And of course, the chargers lost by just one point kicking has been a huge issue for the charges. But they think they had their guy in the undrafted rookie out of the university of Miami. Stack receiving deepens TJ Logan. For the cardinals badgley kickoffs have been something. He's had to work on. Kgo me. He's shortening up. His and we're underway from the stubhub center. And badgley reaches the goal line. And Logan's gonna take it out. He crosses the fifteen crosses the twenty. He's brought down at just around the twenty three yard line. We're gonna chance to see the rookie out of UCLA. We mentioned Saint John Bosco. A powerhouse program and Baldi his issues at UCLA were because one rotating offense for dinners and offensive line issues, which he's had both this year with the cardinal. He has to Josh's credit. He's really he's got a level head about himself. He has voiced any.

"Red jerseys was white numerals white pants trimmed with red and the Red Sox. They'll be moving right back. Deep is TJ Logan to feel this kickoff from Daniel Carlson. It was picked up by the raiders. He's the third kicker in the regular season that they have used and he has done a fine. Fine job. One of the things we note about Carlson sees early to work I player out on the field, and he goes through the mechanics of kicking before he ever works with a football out of Auburn ball on the T at the thirty five yard on underway. In glendale. I in here is Logan back in. Endzone? It'll go out of the end Josh Rosen and the attack will come out at the twenty five yard line. Like, well, this'll be good for the raiders and see what they can do. They gotta backed up. And we know how fill position has been an issue for the raiders burnt all season. They got to come out and play stunt cinci defense. And then when the punt game if it happens be able to change the size of the field. We see Gary on Conley will open at corner. There was some question. He was nicked up last week, but he is out there and he'll start at one of the cornerback positions. And that's good to see wurley is also out on the field for the raiders first down in ten and Rosen goes up underneath center. And no surprise. Your comes Johnson. Tries to get the right edge breaks, the tackle out to the thirty outside the numbers and close to a first down on the opening run. And they've got a seal up the edges against number thirty one Andre Smith tenth year out. Alabama's a big right? Tackle listed at six foot. Four. Hundred thirty pounds. And he has a strong side running man that there's you mentioned frosty Rucker in this right side of the left side of the defense has to do. A better job is still selling up the perimeter to prevent sweeps like that from happening second down and one up under center is Rosen. Fitzgerald has gone out to the left and he will come in motion. Now, he will be a slot receiver to the left still inside the numbers. Play action Rosen looks.

"All right coach couple individuals wanted to start with das- Newsom name, the ACC specialist of the week this past week for the tar heels. You had a seventy five yard punt return. Touchdown. Also had a receiving touchdown in this game as well that punt return touchdown. The first for Carolina since not a surprise. Ryan Switzer had one against Miami in two thousand fifteen just a terrific game for gas Newsom who's been coming along. But had a breakout this past has been getting better and better every week. You know, I've been on him pretty hard about he's been here for a year and a half and he hasn't he hasn't gotten the end zone yet. Yeah. And so I've been pretty hard on him in practice. You know, he's always talking about how much saucy has. We can't have any sauce. If you don't get any of that. But he I mean, he is he he can you know, you want you put the ball on das- his hands. He can make some plays. And I mean, he he is hard bring down. He just has a knack for of aiding tackles, and there was probably another part return in that game that if he could have got outside that one guy he probably would have taken that to distance because it was there now, and I want to give up the punt return team credit because those guys did a heck of a job blocking on that almost punt returns. What is in? You may answer this a little bit just talking about Davos, but what is it that allows him to be good in that area? You've had some good ones. TJ logan. Anthony Ratliff volumes. Ryan Switzer just here at Carolina. What what allows him to be good there? Those guys have a knack. I mean, they can they can see things that normal. People don't see and they can make their bodies go there. Very quickly. You know, and one thing about Dazhi- can start and stop and go sideways or backwards and then back forward. And be at top speed very very quickly,.

"In in Russia's passes. I think the cardinals could be in in big places. We see that. That's part of the thing that I think the bears fans are looking at that the cardinals cast gore offensively, but you mentioned that you kind of chuckled a little bit about your familiarity with Bobby Massie. And I've I've forgotten until I ask the question that you started laughing at Massey actually came from Zona. And so they know what they have there. Don't they? They know very well what they have here, obviously, the new regime, there's not a lot of players who played with him. On the roster. But those guys who who were here, I think, you know. I mean, he had such an up and down career here that when he was like, oh, there was a lot of mixed feelings because some people felt he was still young. He's there's no doubt about it. But at the same time he didn't play very well. He here's I think there there are some mixed feelings when when he was like go in the very fine him. But the cardinal definitely know what they're getting Bobby. I knew exactly what you meant when you said. Well. He's a great athlete, but he didn't play. Well. Can I say it again? Say that I'll let you choose. Love you chuckling right now. Well, Taylor Gabriel's a guy. Mitchell Trubisky missed wide open. I'm sure they're going to try and go back to him Gabriel's. Again, that's been catching the ball and running the ball for the bears. He's going up against a player for Arizona that I see here if I'm not mistaken he has been called for not one but four defensive holding penalties is that true of Taylor. That is true. That is true. And he's he's talking a little bit. You know, he he's allowed quite a few passes to be thrown his way. But it's interesting because this happened last year have reports going happen. This year quarterback don't wanna throw to Patrick Peterson for obvious reasons. Right. He's an all pro pro pro cornerback. So whoever's on the opposite side of Patrick is gonna get a ton of looks and demarcated already being picked on. And I I think offenses are seeing that you can complete passes they have and I think the more active. He gets the more. We're going to see some of these penalties. So I wouldn't be surprising Chicago to throw his way in stays away from Patrick Peterson again one last question you mentioned Patrick Peterson's. Everybody around football is he still returning kicks or punts. I mean. Team not on a regular basis. He'll do it. And I guess, you know, the extremes. Situations. But they now have the rookie Christian Kirk out of them. He's he's one kick punt returner, and then TJ Logan backup running back and kick returner was actually have to be in the game. If you're going to see him return. I think are they not having return kicks because they found someone better or because they're trying to protect them. Mostly because kinds of protecting. You know, if they feel like they need a big return lasted just hasn't happened yet this year, obviously. But last year they needed they felt they need a big return. They send him out there or he would ask to go out there, and you hear type of success returning kicks appointee had since he was a rookie. But he he he has that speed. And quickness where there's always that threat. So I think that that's a factor in this also, but it's mostly to protect them because they don't wanna waste him as a as a returner when he's such a good cornerback. Yeah. And there's a lot of coaches around that we saw a lot of it in preseason football, which nobody wanted to play anybody because he wanted to protect them. It is a sport. Where guys get hurt? You know, it happened to me in eighty six playoffs against the skins, Darryl green. Didn't return parts, but they're down in the fourth quarter. He returns upon for a touchdown in basis. Yeah. That's what I said seven points or less in the fourth quarter Peterson obey returning upon. Yeah. Yeah. Josh, we appreciate you for few minutes. Thanks a lot. Anytime. Josh wine. I from the ESPN NFL nation is he breaks down the Arizona Cardinals. We come back. What a great name for a reporter wine. Fuss wind fuss. Syllables about the same thing. Right there, brother. "In terms of rookie production, you know, I'm not sure that his ceiling real real big or real real high, but I think that he will end up being one of the more productive rookies just based on opportunity because they don't have a whole lot there. And then long term I think is upside is is really, really strong. Again in that Cooper Cup Nelson galore spectrum, and you know when Larry FitzGerald retires, I think that he's gonna be. He should end up being a very productive slot receiver, and this should give them a chance to grow with Josh Rosen, kinda like Jared, Goff and Cooper Cup. I think, grew together in their first season. You saw it in the preseason, even with Cooper Cup and Jared Goff. I think that we might see a little bit of that with Josh Rosen and Christian Kirk. This preseason. We also talked last week. I think about Ricky seals Jones after he had his off the field issue. So we talked about the tight end position a little bit there in Arizona. I guess my question at running back, Evan is if there's any place in deeper drafts in your mind for chase Edmunds the fourth round pick for the years on a cardinals out of Fordham, obviously, day of David Johnson chase actually grew up Evan, like less than five minutes from my house here and had an unbelievable college career. I mean his last year I think he got hurt was actually his worst, but he was like, I team American, I think is a freshman. It was crazy. Yeah, leads the patriot league in all time yards from scrimmage. I remember Josh Norris our resident draft analyst who you've had on the show a bunch of times talking about chase Edmunds loves them. Compared to even a Matt forte. I thought he reminded me a little devante Freeman, I love chase Edmunds. I actually didn't have many draft picks in one of my dynasty rookie drafts because I had traded him all the way for veterans trade back into the draft to go get chase Edmunds in the third or fourth round was very happy with it. He's I doubt he's going to be a redraft factor. Of course, barring an injury, David Johnson. But you know, David Johnson's in a contract year, and I mean, I would bet on the cardinals locking him up, but you know, things can go wrong there. Players can get hurt that's running back as one of the most injury propellants positions in all of sports. Maybe the single most injury Pence positions in all of sports, and that can lead to opportunities in the cardinals have pretty much already given chase Edmunds that number two running back position over TJ Logan. Over DJ foster. And I, I have like a little bit of excitement about him. You know, I'm a little bit biased because I really liked him coming out of college and because now he's on one of my dynasty teams that I that I like the most, but I, I really do like chase Edmunds and I'm, I'm excited about him being the number two running back behind a guy entering his contract here. One of the things I'm excited about you talk about it all the time, Evan, you know that we are trying to gather as much information as we can to make as informed decisions as we can. You know, nobody's perfect,.

"God they're gonna beat somebody good and they're gonna lose to somebody dumped it's it's just feels like a coastal theme so they have pit north carolina they will probably be one of those teams in consecutive weeks they are on the road against miami on the road against clemson i don't feel good about a damn against either one of those teams by could they beat virginia tech again this year at home maybe now georgia a team that we have no idea what to expect baby it's a lot of abie's on their lotta toss yeah it's george tech maybe good north carolina north carolina is interesting another team tell me if you've heard this one before the new quarterback in the coastal now they lose general mitch trubisky who was drafted very high by the bears they also lose tj logan elijah hood they lose ryan switzer and bug howard um so there is some turnover on offense defensively their front seven should be good enough subtle lockdown front seven but it should be pretty solid i feel confident about five or six wins but again these teams that have so much turnover it's really tough to forecast were you see them going in the near term i like larry fedorov always like larry fedora i think he's a good coach great abb's brandon harris is probably gonna be the starting quarterback and he does not inspire a ton of confidence dan i saw him at lsu at does not leave me feeling good about what this team is going to do uh against uh again a lot of tween her 705 in four teams that they're going to play in the acc saw again kind of on the fence here the advocates a reboot year that's what i think are are pal bill connolly called it for north carolina it seems like it's a year that larry fedora had to really acquaint himself with anybody fast on offense because watt a new faces like are you you've steep your fill gotta gotta gotta gotta got it ends with brandon harris without the continuity of quarterback i think that's gonna be tough a little bit early on everybody seems to be unproven the offensive line is pretty good they had a couple of transfers this dov experience defensively they struggled until gene chizik who has now gone and but they're sort of bend but don't break in that's an improvement from where they were.

"Cut down on turnovers can't have interceptions is this seems going to do something dyers zone it to me is a question mark and i i didn't go year their win total but i looked at adamant i said boy i could see this team win in ten games and i could see him one in six games well that's true they've got to stay healthy i do have a lot of pekanbaru syrian but you're right about carmen carson palmer he very much you know e e getting along in a two can and he never had much mobility to begin with fans even less mobility i look for them to be strong again i'm special teams and and certainly defense and as long as you got an elite playmaker like a larry pitched gerald uh you know arizona has a way of making play i've always felt that an nfl game or even a call came a lot of times he comes down to about five play that sort of make or break uh from the game and if you'd be a special teams play it could be a turnover it could be a lot of things and i think arizona is going to be very focused yes carson promo turns thirty eight in december and you've got full quarterbacks and tnt he'll keep them young you've got you know stand and blame gabbard a couple of very capable backup right goal should palmer go down you've got pretty capable backups but we wanted to detroit he'll be there uh obviously you still got patrick peterson a one quarter justin bethel brennan williams you've got some pretty good cornerback honey badger you've got some playmakers on defense so if they can get some talk about a running game i love the running back david johnson and andrei ellington they watches kid elijah penny nifty tj logan on a north carolina veer dynamic you pick up a gm jemaine gresham a tight in so i think nears only is balanced i think defensively either gonna be solid if they stay healthy that what they're specialty play and blue syrian and arizona is going to be a playoff contending keen i would be surprised if detroit hold serve week one against arizona that's the time you don't wanna play here is on a early in the year when the french lasting i wanna get from you which speech to one a.
