And and that's that's a that's a fair question Hollywood hollywood brown so he comes into this game. Injured still puts up huge game over his last ten games including the playoffs. He's averaging seventeen point one fantasy points per game hasn't dipped below twelve point five. That's really important. Because i think we view hollywood brown at somebody who's like You know he's a big play guy and if he doesn't hit the big play that hasn't been the case he's been consistent that seventeen point one fantasy points per game average over the last ten games it is equivalent to what d- came metcalf scored last year became capitals the wide receiver nine fantasy points per game last year literally over his last ten games. Hollywood brown is operating as a wide receiver. One while that's awesome. they need. they need that. I'm happy for him. What about detroit. Offensively they're fun bad. I mean no seriously. tj hopkinson is going to dominate. This year the andre swiss getting it done in the passing game I hope this game is high scoring. I hope detroit gives up a lot of points. Because if he does the andreas was gonna get targets. Tj hawkins gonna get targets. Jamal williams is going to get carries and targets hopkinson. You have to play he in this game. So if the detroit lions are going to stink at least get the ball into the hands of the guys who we drafted. Tj hawkins is going to blow up this year the andrea swift. There was a lot of hand wringing about his role. Will anthony lynn. The former running back is running his offense actually in my opinion quite smartly because of the talent there in the backfield through the backfield the andrea swift eleven carries eleven targets. Jamal williams nine carries nine targets. Both of these guys produced fantasy. Both of them are arbutus for me with the andrea swift. Potentially after all the panic of the off season. Let's see what happens against green bay. He's got rb one upside for me with that kind of usage. Eleven targets is good for anybody. It's exceptional for running back so That kind of usage. I'm happy about it at receiver. Unfortunately tyrel williams is hurt again. He's got a concussion. I'm not terribly interested in any of these outside receivers but just keep in mind for the future the to target leaders at wide receiver for the detroit lions in that game or quintas safest and then the legendary trinity benson They had seven and six respectively. Amman raw saint brown was the predominant slot receiver though. That's probably the guide. Lean too but the guys. I wanna play this game or the two running backs in the tight end. Hopefully you able to get some great football whether it was college football on saturday or nfl. On sunday okay. We gotta lock stock doctor so previous segment. We got into everything about week. One and just how great football is to have back in our lives and just how great it is to sit down on the couch and be a couch potato back on weekends and do nothing but watch twenty four hours. It seemed like of straight football and we got into some of the best week action. We got into how the nfc west might be the nfc best and we'll get into more back and i got into my psa of. Let's just enjoy the game. Enjoy the game and football is entertainment. And i got into my rant about my psa. But let's get back to it so we've got into the forty niners last before i went to my huge rant and i just had to say i just have to say the. Nfc north might be one of the weakest divisions and we'll get into more of teams in the afc north but let's not look past the detroit. Lions they've got some great not not great but they got two guys on their team. I like the running back combo of williams and split. I really liked that that went to punch the thunder and lightning and not many people are talking about this guy but this guy might be one of the best if not top. Three top. Five tight ends in the league. Let's talk about tj hopkinson tj. Hodkinson might be one of the best tight end in the league that nobody is talking about. I put him up there with celts. I put him up. The with kittle waller andrews either top-five tight end in the league and detroit's got something with them and we know jared goff loves his tight dent. We know he love his security blankets. That would suggest that they didn't really believe andrea swift was good enough football shape to be able to handle a full workload and not that he was going to handle a full workload but really questioning him out the volume of work he could do especially in week one so i expect him to play. He was a full participant yesterday for the record. But i just don't know it might be a feel thing. Like how does he look does. He looks like he's getting tired as they have to. Rotate out more frequently. I think this week is a tough call. Andy andrea swift. I'm with you. I loved the andrea swift. I think the lions offensive line as a chance to be good this year. They're not just automatically good but they have a chance. But i would take for me and something that i've i've said this for a long time. I grew up with this but with david montgomery. I just think the cream rises with that since you literally didn't have a beard when you i grew up amid west kid so obviously you know with a lot of a lot of milk and cow's cream rises is something that makes sense for you know where i grew up running after usa. How much better would it really take. It would be astronomically higher. I mean so much higher than any other rookie titan history. You're talking like here. And you're who you're talking about twenty five percent of the last rookie season ever if you add that onto the best rookie season ever then you get to. Where he's an acceptable picking this range. Whereas you're talking about tj buckets in. Who is the time. He was tied in four last year while being injured in dealing with Obviously the same poor team. He was one of five tight ends to have one hundred plus target. And now you got rid of marvin jones. You got rid of kennedy golladay. He is the number one target going into his third year. Tj hopkinson is going to break out this year whether or not. His breakout is worth the draft capital. I will say this if you are someone who hates streaming. Titans hates trying to figure out the match ups the plays that this and that then it is worth it for you to to to save your fab dollars to save. Your transaction counts through through the year if you're on a waiver priority system Then i think that is worth it. Because i i can't see him having fewer than one hundred twenty five targets and that's just enough volume if you're and a half pr pr league. In terms of what the ceiling looks like calvin ridley's rookie season one hundred. Seventy five fantasy points. I think i call pits at one hundred seventy nine. But you've got to be in the to twenty plus range to be the kiddle kelsey difference maker for the team. That being said one thousand plus yards for kyle pits touchdown upside. I think you're going to get that. And i think your odds of touchdowns with matt ryan and that offense and what role he has to play there in camp coalpit says. Look the part. They're moving them around the formation. You cannot do those. Athletic things with tj hopkinson. You can't and you got seven hundred yards last year in. Sixteen games from tj hodkinson. That got you tight in for our more upside in the fifth round than teacher. Hawkins and sure but tj hogson is an extreme athlete. Like he was. Yes he's he is not kyle pets. I agree out-pizzas. He's carpets is the only one. Yeah he he breaks. He breaks the mould. But i mean if you're comparing hodkinson watch talking to the other top tier athletes. I'm just saying athletically. Speaking he's up there with you. Know your george kittles as a tight end. Yeah i mean six five almost two hundred fifty pounds and like food four seven forty to watch him for two years mike. Do you look at tj hopkinson. Two years teacher hopkinson and say he delivered on on the what you expected or was it less than you expected. It was just eyeballs. I think he delivered what i expected. And between the two. I i if i'm taking that tight end in the fifth round or the six round. Somehow they both happened to be there. I would go hopkinson of i side with jason. Believe hopkinson is going to be the number one target for for the detroit. Lions and i think that the upside is is there. I mean maybe you're not getting the splash plays like from kyle pits. But you won't see a splash play every single week. Meanwhile you should see seven plus targets for hopkinson every single week. Yeah his cat. His yards per catch is lower than all those athletic explosion tight ends. Yes so just one last point of clarity though if that's the normal like historical projection for all tight ends of all time. Is you get you you add to those things. So he's going into his third year. Which is the normal breakout year for tight ends. And that's where it's like. Yeah he has not been great yet but he was a rookie and he was a sophomore at a position. Where you don't usually do at that early. You do see splash plays early. You see them with mark andrews earlier george kettle earlier. No fan earlier. He has gone down in yards per catch over. The first two seasons had a lot of drops a lot of penalties lot of drops. That's a lot of a lot of issues way percent drop rate. My point is not that he can't. I mean it. It's a tough position to break out in detroit with a with a worst quarterback a different offensive system anthony. Lynn is your as your offensive coordinator. We don't see hodgkinson's upside the same. That's all and i look at. I don't look at him as the athletic upside that that a wide receiver kyle pits. Has they're not gonna play. Coal pits traditional tight. End off the block situation. They're going to run them all over the field and like that. Potential better yeah. I don't think we view his upside that differently. I think we view is down. Because i don't see him as getting into that. Kelsey gidel waller tear to be really really safe wide before Last year was about one hundred targets. I think that will go up to one hundred and thirty eight hundred four. Well we bet on it there. You go so we'll we'll settle it that way. Higby at seven head be as the tight end. I most likely to end up with on my team same He is drafted in the tenth round. He is a player that i think. Ironically you know matthew stafford coming over from detroit offers tremendous upside to. He has been a focal point of the offense for certain games in the past. When joel wasn't there and we didn't see average tied in play. We saw explosive tight in play. So this is the post hype sleeper of the year at the tight imposition position. I hope the draft. I don't think the draft price will go up. No because he's tyler higby disappointed people last year spending the league long enough. He's we we know his upside isn't going to be something You know astronomically high. His draft capital will be in the tenth round. And i absolutely love it. Because you you lost gerald everett. You lost josh reynolds. You brought in a better quarterback again. You lost camakers. Where i think you're going to have to throw the ball more higby could get it done and and i would much rather like again if lock it and hopkinson were there in the fifth. I would rather grab tyler higby late and start at wide receiver. You've seen the volume when gerald avid is out higby averages five targets a game. Which of course. I'd prefer more but that's solid and you have you have at least a proof of concept when you go back to the two years ago where the the the higby hype really started rolling. Because he was tyler higby where in in five straight weeks the tight end one three or a one five three nine one a he. He turned into this waiver. Pickup that saved people Over the final stretch of the season. So i'm i'm not overly bullish on tyler higby as much as you guys are but i think that he is he someone in the double digit rounds. That i believe can take that jump. So i'm perfectly fine drafting higby. What about robert tanya at eight right. Now he's eighth on our list He's of and around ahead of higby. It hasn't gone for a guy that finished tied in three they. Adp has gone insane. A lot of that's been suppressed by aaron rodgers. question marks through the off season. Of course we're we're doing this middle of august which is a good time to do some entire drafts segment. You guys can binge crunch all these numbers together. Get your strategy all set. Some of this stuff might slightly change especially when it comes to a rookie in preseason. But i think for the most part these numbers going to be relatively accurate. But we're going to try and give that information what we're seeing now and jalen water going in the tent. Go into a miami team. That i believe already in. He looks good. I it's hilarious. Sometimes you see title. Seth and then i actually read the article and then a says. Oh it looks good. Catching screen passes from tour. We yeah he. The guy is fast. He's elusive he's playing miami's defense. I mean he's catching screen. Passes crying out loud. I'm sure he'll be doing that in a game. But wait 'til miami's down or two is not scoring points and they've got to actually throw the ball downfield so tough to say. I just know that miami. Obviously they're gonna have to show. That was a real deal. They're they're passing offense really struggle with to a last year demonte parker's numbers went way down like a sex numbers went way down. Those are two weapons are also vying for competition. So it's always tough when we get into the double digits to say no one's worth taking a crack at but in this year long. Stay away from jalen waddell. I just don't let the miami offense. So for that reason. I have him out and i'll combo this other person hearing you can. You can follow this. Upset is devante smith. Similar ask in terms of with the offense jalen hurts. I get i get that. He might or should be the number one but we've seen philly year in and year out draft number one wide receivers jalen rigor nelson abdur devante smith. I like a lot. I mean i really do. I mean but can can jalen hurts. Get him the ball. He's going in the seven. There's there's a lot of competition of wide receivers in that range. So for those two for for a couple of those reasons does wide receivers. I think i'm not gonna have any shares of you know where you at on those. You think that maybe some of them actually have a little bit more upside than. I'm not predicting south. I think it's i think. Devante smith the case for him is volume is jalen hurts having a pretty good season and i mean gonna get should be. He's probably gonna have one receiver. He's no of all the opportunities but that offense is really bad. I think the case for jalen walls will be different. You know his. Ap's a lot lower and he's more explosive. He's more of a I think there's a little more upside with him. And you look at some of the receivers in the in the dolphins depth chart You they're very injury. Prone like these with will fuller Devante parker has been has been injury prone as well and he's been kind of all over the place really disappointing your last year so i think it's tough. I think john waddell. I i would say. I disagree a little bit on june wallace because his adp is so appetizing and we talked about our strategy not to get too much into it right now but he he'd be the perfect high upside liquid bench asset that that maybe you hold onto for for a couple of weeks just to see how it shakes out Devante smith though. I the promises. Adp is you're going to be paying for him Where you say he was going in pulling up right now. Six round seven. I mean i have. I have seven point nine. Yeah yeah so the problem is that you have like you have a lot of receivers that we like a lot going after him coralline sutton. Dj char juju. Ibm's had a monster your last year. So that's the problem with monte smith is. He's he's rookie. He's got but i think it's upside is fairly capped to given how how how at least on paper as of right now. Maybe maybe you know it ends up. Being plays a little differently but that eagles offense looks pretty shaky these receivers both of these receivers. I think you could say project as a wattle. Is this kind of guy that you get you. Get out and open space. He's a big play guy. He's potentially not a touchdown guy or a goal line guy and potentially not a high reception guy so that presents itself offense who might not be very prolific some potential issues and cata similar to like. Is he going to be a touchdown guy. I don't know maybe take the cover off the ball waddell They're both great alabama. So i urge line in san somewhere. So that's where i did with them in. These are probably names that you recognize the draft. You know maybe you don't recognize everyone in the draft and if you're the person that you're not super familiar with all of these rookies or you didn't track the whole. Nfl draft way to get educated on. All of these people is actually doing in setting up yourself. A dynasty type of league. And i've gotta archie sports dot com. They actually they also have Rookie rankings draft guides. You can pull up a list. And they'll rank rookies for you To your point dynasty leagues dynasty dynasty. Leagues changed the whole game. Because then you look at these rookies differently. You look at them in redraft league which can have a better season in dynasty leagues. It's you know who's gonna have a better career So that makes a really fun. You know in our dynasty lead to wear and we do a rookie draft every year in place places. A much greater importance on rookies instead of them being afterthoughts like they are You know a lot of years so our ports. "He really did not get you know the targets that i was expecting him to get even with cd in the line of and even going down made it a lot worse so yeah. I'm not really as high on michael gallup's have been now with cd lamb in the fold. So moving on to some other players tyler lockett. He's another guy. I'm not really as high on as i have been because the boomer boss stuff really that really hurts his fantasy stock that that really does because he's a guy that definitely can be productive and has proven it and when i traded him to my friend last year and he had that forty five point. Performance against the cardinals. You know. that's a good tyler lockett but there are times. We're tired walking at two points or he gets nothing and i know that is something that not a lot of people want on their fantasy team. I just don't i. It's just you know i don't want that. You know i could definitely be affleck's option and of course he's going to have as good games this year one hundred percent but the boomer bus stuff is very concerning and it is something that i wanna stay away from. So he's somebody that i think. We'll see a decrease in fantasy stock. You know it's somebody that i definitely could see having an increase in fancy stock. This year is tj hopkinson and the reason for that is when you look at the detroit lions you know weapons bershad. Paramount tiro williams. They drafted a wide receiver. Saint brown you know it. It's not great receiving core. And you know the running backs i think you're going to play a pivotal role this year. Swift and jamaal williams in goth is gonna definitely need a security blanket and tj hodkinson. Is that guy. Jared goff loves tight ends. You know we had good tight ends in hague gerald everett. Now he comes over to detroit where he's going to be playing with. Probably you know arguably the best tight end that i think he's you know ever played with since you know entering the league. I think tj hogson is better than higby and gerald ever. But we're just gonna have to wait and see but you know if teaching hodkinson is the guy that you know. Jared goff security blanket definitely could see him having a rise in fantasy stock going into this season so a guy that i definitely see you know. Fantasy stock decreasing is michael. Thomas and michael. Thomas was fantastic in two thousand nineteen he was. He was my I believe he was my. He's my second pick. I pick todd gurley and todd. Gurley did not have his best season after he was insane in twenty eighteen but had girly. And then dr michael thomas and michael. Thomas was amazing. He had a great season last year. You know he dealt with injuries and just you know was not. He was not a good wide receiver last year. And fantasy and didn't have a touchdown until the playoffs you know. And that's just. That is on michael. Thomas lake now. He's injured again and it. It's really gonna be it's gonna be tough for him so it. This is a guy that went like in the you know the first second round. Now he's getting. I mean who knows where he's going to be taken now that he's not even going to be playing the first couple of games of the season. You know so michael. Thomas is definitely another guy that is going to be going to see a decrease in fantasy value. And it's unfortunate because he is really good wide receiver. It's just you know he's not he can't he hasn't been able to stay healthy now. In ou- he got injured last year. Now he's injured again and he's gonna miss some time so it's just It's unfortunate because this guy can be a valuable asset to a team and the saints definitely need him because they really do not. Have you know a lot of weapons outside him. Other than kamara you know. So they're gonna they're gonna have to figure something out but michael. Tom is definitely a guy. That's going to be taken much later in drafts. And i and i think you really gotta wait to have a whole team before picking him up as a right now So another guy that. I think that you know. I'm kind of low on and fantasy is odell beckham junior and also jujubes. Smith's user odell just for some reason you know i mean he's coming off of the injury though. I do think he's incredibly talented. And i think he is a good wide. Receiver for fantasy just lacks consistency. And that's really the main reason why. I think that he's a guy that you know should be going late in fantasy drafts. Obviously deeper leagues. It's different but i think he's a guy that should be going late in fantasy drafts just because he really just you know with the browns. I don't think he has really hasn't piece it. All together had then sane. Game against the cowboys. I know that and definitely can have those games where he does really well for fantasy but i feel the lack of consistency is why i'm not as high on him. And i think a lot of people would agree with that so he's one wide receiver that i'm not as high on. Also you got juju. Smith schuster i just. He's another guy. I just do not trust you know in fantasy. I mean look at his numbers. I mean he actually didn't do too bad in fantasy last year. But i think a lot of that had to do with the he did. He did actually did have a decent amount of touchdowns last year to against the giants. He had once had three four five. Six seven eight nine nine touchdowns last year. That definitely inflated numbers and some of these games. But i don't know he's just a guy that you know i just don't trust him i just don't i like the other wide receivers. I like the andre johnson. I like his increase in fantasy stock. This year i like the increase in fantasy. Stock of deontay johnson. I think those guys you that you take those guys over juju. I'm sorry. I just don't i just don't trust you you i really don't and just all the tick tock stuff is just ridiculous you know i just feel like you know. It's a separate issue but yeah that all that stuff is ridiculous but yeah. I liked the other wide receivers of the steelers more than i liked jujio and then another guy that i'm high on this year. The tight end for the washington. Football team logan thomas. I really think he is going to have a good season with fitzpatrick overall. I think all the weapons or we're going to see an increase in fantasy stock on washington. Because i feel like fitzpatrick. I though i have talked about. You know the inconsistencies with fitzpatrick. I think that when he's on he could be on an definitely will help out this offense a lot because these weapons are really talented. And they just need a quarterback and ryan fitzpatrick could be that guy to provide him. You know provide some civility at the quarterback position at least for a season. I don't expect it to be for that long because you know. He is in his late thirties. But we'll have to see another guy high on robert. Tanya n- had a really great season with rogers last year you know scored a touchdown in five straight games. He's my fantasy tight end again for my dynasty league. So you know. I think that he's going to do well. Especially now rogers coming back. That definitely helps him immensely. So he's a guy. I'm high on Hit you're going gonna see a rise in fantasy stock for him. You're gonna see a rise in fantasy stock. For chase edmunds kenyan. Drake is no longer there. And james connor is unfortunately injury prone. So i think chase. Edmunds is definitely going to be a guy that will see an increase. You know where. He is drafted A guy that. I'm kind of low on while i am low on his brand cokes. I mean it's just unfortunate because he plays for the texans and their quarterback situation right now is a complete mess and i don't i just feel like when you look at anybody on the texans it just you don't really want to you. Don't wanna take anybody i mean. I just wanna stay away from them. So i just. I don't even want to bother with anybody from taxes unless to shawn watson does play. That's a different story. But you know brandon coaxes another guy that i'd wanna stay away from. So you know other guys here. Darrell henderson now. With the injury to cam acres. I think he is going to see an increase in fantasy value You know because the rams really don't have any other options right now. They do have other running backs on the team. But you know we don't really know how they're going to be. They definitely got look outside the box and try to maybe get you know somebody else in there. You know to help out running back situation. But yeah i definitely can see I definitely see henderson. Seeing having an increase in fantasy value especially playing for the rams and the rams are going to be a good team this year. I think the cam acres injury does stink. And it's really going to affect them..

"That the Detroit News is reporting the lions have made a trade. They have sent a former fourth round draft pick, the tight end Justin, Justin Rogers is reporting. But the lions are sending the former tight end. Michael Roberts to the patriots who are in desperate need of tight end. The lions drafted TJ Hopkinson in the first round. Sign may be the best player in free agency and Jesse James and now they're trading. Michael Robert says a result he finished his lions career. Two years with only thirteen catches Forty-six yards. Three touchdowns. But like I said, the patriots are absolutely desperate right now. And so there you have it. They, they make a trade with the lions late round draft pick. We don't know what year. "And ladies and gentlemen, we have a new mock draft out Mel kiper Jr's three point. Oh is here with us. And we are looking forward to the draft. Mel will join us in just about an hour to talk about the new mock draft. But there have been some changes in the draft specifically one less quarterback. Now going in the first round then in mel's two point oh mock draft. So we have four in the two point oh mock draft with Daniel Jones from Duke rounding out of the last pick of the draft to the patriots in the first round of thirty two. There are only three quarterbacks now in the first round, according to mel's latest mock. And obviously a retirement might be a big reason why and the quarterbacks have changed as well. Right. As far as where they're they're going. Well, Cuyler he still has Tyler going number one derozan. Well in his last draft Cuyler going number thirteen to the dolphins. So now and this draft he hasn't going number one. He had. Dwayne Haskins going number six at a giant Kyle Murray. Going number thirteen to the to the dolphins. Drew lock going fifteen to the Redskins and Daniel Jones going thirty two to the patriots. So as you mentioned Daniel Jones now out of the first round, according to the latest mock draft by Mel kiper, just three quarterbacks Murray number one. The main says Dwayne Haskins at number six, and you start to hear reports that the giants may go defense was six and then was seventeen go quarterback. But right now twain Haskins at six and then drew lock sitting there at number thirteen for the dolphins. Does the only three quarterbacks in this latest first round. Yeah. Going to be very interesting because we know what the giants listen one thing. Dave Gettleman has made very clear he does not feel beholden to tell us his plan. And so I don't feel overly beholden to believe. A lot of what we're hearing coming out of the giants can't because if you've got a guy who's basic messages trust me, I got this. Well, then we understand he doesn't feel like he has to tell us the truth. So as we hear these things. Coming out. We also understand this time of year is about deception to an extent it's trying to manipulate the draft order trying to manipulate the opinions of certain players. So that you can try and put yourself in the best position to get the guys you ultimately want. So it makes it difficult to try and read the tea leaves it is although I have to say on cattlemans behalf. He said all of last spring saquon Barkley is a generational talent with the second overall pick. And that's where he went. Look, I think we all agreed. There has to be a quarterback in the giants future. Whether it's at six or seventeen trade now Cleveland, but it would not surprise me in the least if Dave Gettleman waited until the second or third round to take a quarterback this Dave Gettleman, he created that created, but he he made the term a more of a vernacular in the NFL draft hog molly's when he was the GM of the Carolina Panthers. He loves the big guys to hog mollies. And let's be honest. This draft is going to be decided outside of Kyla Murray. More than anything else about the big defensive lineman in this draft. The hog Molly is on the defensive side of the ball. So depending on your draft grades for your quarterbacks you could take one of those at six and then a quarterback at seventeen it all depends again on your on your draft great. If twain Haskins is highest on the board and draft grades. You don't pass that up. If you have a Dwayne Haskins drew lock. And whatever other quarterback equal in grades. You know, maybe use that seventeen pick baby can trade it up somehow to get one of those guys as I said, this always comes down to grades. Do. You have a choice amongst grades. Are you close enough in quarterbacks where if you don't get one you try and get the other? But we'll see we'll see, you know, one of the biggest changes in from the last two this for Mel was they had the patriots taken Daniel Jones a quarterback, and this one I serve Smith junior the tight end from Alabama going, and that would not be shocking at all you have really three out of the top tight end Hopkinson the kid from Iowa teammate, Noah Fant, and then Smith junior all three likely to go in the first round a three first round tight end to on the same team come on. And what would that tell you as we saw? The patriots jump into the first round and take a running back and Sony Michelle at the end of that. And now to see in the next year three tight ends going. We've talked about this. However, you want to split it. Last year were Quinton Nelson. Went in the top ten in the draft as an offensive guard. We saw roquan Smith going the top ten as a middle linebacker. The middle of the field is worthy. NFL is being built right now. And other teams are starting to catch up to what the patriots have done for years. The way that we've seen teams export that specific area and three tight ends in the first round would hammer that home not denying that. They are guys that are certainly probably more talented than usual tight end groups. We're used to seeing but it's also about value. It's why you see running back taking it to overall by the giants last year. I mean, the other thing is I think they're more interior linemen in this first round then quarterbacks right? Like, a not tackles guards and centers. There are more of those according to males latest mock than there are actual quarterbacks being taken which would be very unusual. So the top five in this new draft that Mel kiper put out is Kylie Murray. Number one of the cardinals Nick both the D N number two to the forty Niners. Number three. Josh Allen the outside backing backer pass rusher going to the jet number four Cornyn Williams. To the raiders and number five guy making a pretty big jump. Devon white going to Tampa Bay at five in the last mock draft he was number eleven to the Bengals now in mel's draft. He is sitting at number five number six twain Haskins seven Joon Taylor. The offense attack from Florida going to Jacksonville sweat, the D N going to the lions at eight Sean, Gary the D N going into the bills from Michigan and TJ Hopkinson. The tight end going to the Broncos at number ten. Here's here's what I wanted to talk to Mel about and one of the issues that I have laid on me big fella with with this draft comes, you know, some some point and one of them is there are few prospects in new first round projection who are making their debuts because of their combine performances. There are four guys who have jumped into mel's first round who weren't out there before again based on the combine combine performances. I don't understand that. I don't I don't understand that. If you wanna say. You looked at the combine to go back and look at tape of them. But to say, they're combine performance jumped them up that doesn't compute to me. Well, I think that's I think that's the assumption though, is because of their performance you went back and look and that. That's fair. That's why I want to ask them. How did this? Make you go back and study them more. Because if you're just basing things off the combine I got a real issue with that. Yeah. I I don't think you would do that or teams. But at the same time, you look at the positions of the majority of the players that would be involved in that. And I think this could be true for teams as well. It's interior offense. It is right. Three interior offensive linemen Terry McLaren the wide receiver, but when it comes to interior offensive lineman. You wanna talk about an area where the scouting grossly lags behind to actually great and overall draft. It's a difficult area for a lot of people to see and understand because you don't have the benefit of a lot of stats. You don't have the benefit of even the combine members necessarily always translating to production. So when those guys go and they paying and they flag in the model somewhere for what they do at the combine. And then you go back and spend some more time looking at a guy like Lindstrom who wasn't going to be a big name. He wasn't like, you know, Gary bradberry from North Carolina State won the Remington award this year. Like that guy was a stud Boston College was a middling. Okay. ACC team this year. So Lindstrom wasn't getting the credit. He deserved even being as good as he is. So you go back now, and even these NFL teams, maybe we're late to the party on some of these guys all of a sudden start giving them an extra. That's why I want to ask I just wanna make sure with Mel that because I'm just reading from the combine performance, and again, let's put a name. To those you mentioned McLaren the wide receiver who is one of the others. Chris Lynch reminder, you just mentioned from Boston College now. Number twenty one to Seattle Eric McCoy interior linemen going number twenty two to Baltimore. Right and the Garrett bradberry. The Senator from North Carolina State who is you mentioned one the Remington award is the best center in the country number thirty one to the LA Rams where they have an aging center, and John John Sullivan. And that was that was one of the things have been saying for the Rams the last couple of years that dynasties been built on the interior. If you land a guy like that good, Lord or you winning out it is. So we'll see how that plays out. Now, the one thing that I find interesting he he has drew lock the third quarterback Mel dozen his latest mock going thirteen in Miami. I'm telling you don't take out Denver at ten in Cincinnati of eleven in play for quarterbacks. I mean. Yeah. Denver made the play for Joe flacco. I, you know, I think that there's a really good chance that they could be in play with a quarterback there, by the way, by the way, Mel kiper Jr's mock draft not the biggest item related to the draft this week.
