We're going to get ahead and get started here with the champs and chumps segment. And so it's gonna be pretty simple champs. You know guys that really rose to the occasion this past week. And then chumps guys that we were expecting to have a big week and well Fell quite short of that those expectations. So i'll start off first and this one's a little bit less dynasty less fantasy football related. Justin tucker deserves all the credit. I know evan ethic you at the game and as the lions fan it was definitely heart. Break for you guys. But i just can't get out of the fact that tucker kicked a sixty six yard game winning field goal within the final seconds it hits off. The crossbar are angles in. I know this kind of For your evan has lines fan. Oh always okay you now. We talked about who's great. A special teams player. Who's the greatest kicker while it might be just tucker now. Yeah that's a good point. Justin saw far listeners. Out there. I was at the game the last two minutes. The lions had the ball inside the twenty yard line. Ravens still had three timeouts. But i'm thinking okay so maybe we'll run the ball once and we'll try to do a little play action of gough roll out there. See if we can hit the andrea swift or tj hodkinson on multiple levels for a pass to get the first down. Or just try to score a touchdown. Because we've all been hearing you know from coach campbell. How he wants to be aggressive and change the culture and detroit. What we elected to do instead was run. The ball three straight plays take a field goal and then give the ball back to former twenty nineteen. Nfl mvp lamar jackson and like you said possibly the greatest kicker in nfl history. So i'm sitting there. I'm watching after the fourth nineteen convert of course and that justin talkers out. There warming up for his sixty six yard field goal. And i'm thinking in my head. I know a sixty six yards. But this is going in like. There's no way he's going to miss this like he's he's so hamas like the confidence in this man as he's just fuming way to kick the ball and as it left his foot like the whole stadium was just like roaring with You know sound from just cheering and moving and all sorts of stuff and then the the ball flies through the through mid air almost like a silent movie and that it hits the crossbar bounces up goes through and that's the game saw and the ravens players just you know mob field and everything it was. It was pretty wild. So i witnessed some history this week. Yeah the There you go. That's a big. Plus you get to witness history. Not for the ravens team probably will now hate for the rest of your life because of Syrian i find it funny how your new definitively kick was going in because it's a sixty six yard field goal. No other ignorance made a field goal greater than sixty. I think that's the sixty four map prayed. I think host. Yeah there's a few that have sixty three. I'm self not only was that sixty five fuel sixty six and here. You are a fan of the game as a lions fan. You've gone through so much heartbreak. That not even like question. You know the accolade to make that kick and yet Odds and probability tell you there's less than ten percent but then again as justin tucker. I love that you are there to witness that. I know a little bit unfortunate but i think so. Cool that you get to witness history. That definitely a cool moment for sure. Talk about the thursday night football game. I had to get that. Justin tucker thing Out there first because that was just an amazing moment at this special teams doesn't get enough credit nowadays in the game. But before i forget let's preview this thursday night football game between the jaguars and bengals. What are your thoughts in this game. Coming up yeah. So i actually saw. The jaguars are three. They had a they actually a decent first half against arizona. They had that long jamaa had that long field goal. Return off the mist Sixty eight yard attempt by matt prater. So he tried to break his own record there and then came up a yard short jamal. Agnew takes us to the house to former lions so that the jaguars I was actually pretty impressed by their play. They were outgunned playing. There's cardinals this weekend. But they finally got the running game moving with james robinson he had over twenty points a fancy this week i think. Eighty something guards in touchdown and then trevor lawrence. He's continued to throw the ball lot. Marvin jones's up some good numbers chocolate. Pretty good so..

"He's someone who was hyped during the preseason and he has lived up to the hype so far so i'm expecting big things from him. I am expecting him to possibly finished us ahead of mark andrews right now and i'm expecting him to also finish the season how to mark andrews and for watching. I'm going to double down on what you just said. And if mark andrews does not does not finish below tj hodkinson and fancy pointed. They both stay healthy than you know if you call me out on this. And if you're a dynasty the dynasty listener. I will give you my second round pick or third round pick. I told my second. If mark andrews outperforms tj hodkinson this season fists football as long as with injuries side. No injuries you know i am. I am very very confident that teach consol finish above mark andrews naxi think. Tj hopkinson has a chance to finish the best tight end overall. This season i as far as the. I'm gonna real quick with waller waller's one of the i have the most shares of him. I have my thank an sixty percent of my leagues and as far as dynasties concern i would actually draft tj ahead of waller because like you said tj. You're getting six years younger He's gonna play long into his thirty s. We've seen what somebody like travis. Kelsey can do In a great. Obviously as better quarterbacks no doubt but Tj has that potential. We've seen it this season and He's not somebody that you can definitely pick over waller and feel confident about that choice. That's more of a bull. Take you ask me than the mark andrews. I like that one. Because i think the most people still say that darren waller they would draft him over. Tj hopkinson dynasty. And i think. I wouldn't probably lean towards t johnson but i'm down wallet nineteen targets in the first game. That's insane that'd be like for like three hundred something targets over the course of the season even if he gets half..

But we guan disaster taking on the lions and the lions came to play last night middle of the second quarter. Seven seven game. Jared goff looking for tj hodkinson naked. The corner marrying is some good news in in the second. But that gives a dime a hell of a ball. From jared goff. Hopkinson had eight catches on the night. Lions up fourteen seven but back. Calm the packers down in swearing area. The fourteen yard line. It's aaron aaron jones down to the goal line and stopped short right there so they go to the two minute warning. They come right out and why not go. Aaron to aaron again for the second touchdown of the night roll past never fails on the goal line. Nice job aaron to aaron once again celebrating heinz field over detroit. Up three at the half. Now you're about to see too unreal throws from allen. Rogers here's the first. That's not fair the db's doing all they can do. You just got going. Shake his hand after that one in lineup. Try to stop again. "But i think it's a little bit of a risky plan. Just because of how bad they played in the injuries that they sustained. So that's my thoughts from like the packers perspective. Now let's go over to the lions side of things and listen there. There's not a ton of guys that you particularly would start on your fantasy team in this on this team. But i do think that jared goff could have a good game here. The offensive line for detroit is know improved. And that's the key with jared. Goff is if he has time to throw he's gonna put a points he's going to put up points and he's gonna you know he's gonna throw it around and he definitely did that against the forty niners and listen. He doesn't have the supporting cast that he did on the rams and you know it's understandable that you know you're gonna see a dip in production still played really well against the forty niners and this is a team. That's been giving him problems over the years last couple of years since the forty niners really you know went defensive. Heavy got some more players like d ford. The day on there are different team than they were. When jared goff in the rams were running the division out there in the nfc west. But you know. I think that he will have a decent game against the packers because the packers defense was just it was awful and i think that they're going to have problems stopping. Tj i think tj hodkinson. You must start this week. And he was really good against the forty niners last week with the production that he had like twenty one points from one of my league. So you know he's a guy that you definitely would wanna have in your starting lineup for this game. Also looking at the running. Backs jamal williams. He was pretty good and so was swift. Both running backs produced last week against the forty niners and right now swift he. He appeared on the injury report. Most likely is going to play. But it's definitely something to keep in the back of your mind when you're thinking about you know if you want to start him or not. Now i think jamal williams is definitely gonna wanna play well against his former team so i i mean i think if you would start him i guess depending on how deep your league as he could definitely be a flex play. I think the andrea swift could be affleck's play as well. Maybe an rb to. I know for me this week. The andrea swift the only team that i haven't actually no. I do have one another team. But i had them in my flex position just in case you know. He doesn't play in this game. I had damian harris and christian. Mccaffrey playing iago rb one in my rv to for this week. But i flex spot in that league this kind of a revolving door you know and depending on matchups you know each week. That's what will determine whether or not i start certain guys or not but yeah i mean i think those are really the two main guys that you'd probably wanna start his hopkinson and swift from the lions because outside of that i mean tire williams. I think is injured. And you know. Same brown i think is gonna you know he might be the main guy main receiver. But i don't really see him as strong fantasy play. You know unless this is the week where he you know pops off and maybe you know gets better and better because this is one of their draft choices and maybe he you know steps in and is the number one wide receiver for this team and they also got khalif. Raymond and queen c i. I mean there's really not a lot of enticing fantasy players on this lions team really outside of swift. I guess you can throw in jamal williams hopkinson and you know of golf keeps playing. Well he could find himself. You know being a strong fantasy play. This offensive line holds up. You know he could be a strong fantasy. Play definitely was last week against the forty niners. So you know. That's kind of like my thoughts on the lines perspective now so now let me go through like up to match position by position. Who's going to have a better game. I think aaron rodgers has a better game than jared goff. I listen. I was very critical him on my radio. Show as well but you know what i think that the packers are gonna come out and they're going to play really well so i'm gonna say roger's going to have a better game better fantasy day. Then jared goff now between now. We'll have Aaron jones and andrea swift. Actually you know what i'll do. I'll say aaron jones. Aj dylan slash aj dylan or jamal william slash us slash john d. andrea swift can't even talk. Who will have the better game between you know packers running backs and the detroit running backs and it's tough. It's gonna be really close. It's going to be really close. But i am going to give the slight edge to aaron jones. I'm going to say that they get it done. They have better games than the average. However that those two detroit running backs. I think are going to have great games as well but i think that the packers running back through and do slightly better. Now we get down to the wide receivers. I think about the atoms outscores basically all of the detroit wide receivers. 'cause look hopkinson. Who will get into right. Now is obviously number one weapon on this detroit offense and i just think that you know because of that. The receivers really aren't going to play a huge role now. one of them is going up against dryer alexander. So that definitely is not going to help. But yes just my opinion on that demont the ad is gonna outscore all of the detroit wide receivers and then now we get to the tight end spot. I'm gonna say that. Tj hopkinson will have the better game than robert tanya. Though i do expect our tiny into score a touchdown i think because of how involved hodkinson is in this offense. I'm gonna say that. He has the better game and robert. Tanya a lot of people. Say he's touchdown dependent. And i agree with that but i think hodkinson has the better game and n- not to see the the tanya isn't a strong play like i said i think he is a strong play for this game. If you have them in your lineup. He's i can have a good game. But i just think hodgkinson's going to do better so now i guess we will compare the defenses. I think green bay's defense has the slightly better game. But i think both defenses are gonna struggle in this game. I think there's going to be a lot of points scored and then kicker wise. I mean i guess mason crosby give the nod to him. Just because i think the packers will score more than the lions so it i mean. That's pretty much thoughts on the monday night game. You know i. I hope that you know for the packers shake. They come out. They play well. But it's going to be tough. I the lions really showed you something last week. And i feel like that's gonna continue into this game as well. I don't think they're gonna lay down and get killed by the packers but we'll see what happens so now. Let's get into the thursday night game because now i'm back to doing two shows a week so let's get into the thursday night game since the next show i will have. It will be friday. So let's talk about the thursday night game so it's really not the best game that you would want to have. It is the houston texans taking on the carolina panthers and yeah listen this game is just. It's it's not that good. I mean if the shawn watson was playing in the scheme then i would say well that then this you know has the potential to be a good game. But i mean tyrod taylor sam darnold just. It's very juicy. But let's talk about these match ups here. So let's talk about the houston side of things. So the panthers defense i. I think that you know it's it's an improved defense. It definitely is you know. And and i think that it's going to give the texans some problems but i do think that there are some cracks in it and i do think that brandin cooks can definitely be a strong play Against the panthers here. I definitely think that he's a guy that could be a flex option. I think he's proven that so i would say that. He's a strong play. And the running backs i mean it's just a revolving door. You don't really know who's going to stand out among all these you know amongst these players in oh so i mean i think really the only strong play i would say brandin cooks. That's really it. I mean i don't really see anybody else that you'd really want to start from week to week..

"I thought he had a good match against jacksonville. But you know he didn't do that good. Abc didn't do that. Good i might have to start streaming defenses. The way the giants defense playing. But we'll have to see so yeah down by thirty in that league. I don't really have a ton of confidence. They'll be able to come back. But i do have an eighteen percent chance of winning. So that's definitely you know. I definitely have a shot. But we'll see what happens so now let's go to the redraft league and right now. I have a ninety nine percent chance of winning. So i was down big in this league. I was down by as much as i think about. Like forty fifty points. But i came roaring back the books. Getting two defensive touchdowns greg's airline had a really good game against the chargers matt ryan and really connected for a touchdown matt ryan did okay And fantasy this week. Martin cooper really didn't do anything But my running backs damien harrison christian. Mccaffrey both did well. And my biggest performer. I have to say is lamar jackson. Lamar jackson really came clutch for me in this matchup and it didn't get off to a good start because he had that pick six. And i was really aggravated. And i'm saying man. You know if i don't if lamar doesn't do that good in this game i'm not i'm not gonna do anything i'm probably gonna lose. And lamar came a big. I went from being down by about three to start the sunday night game or tied pretty much to being up by twenty one points now going into monday night and my friend does aaron rodgers. The from the talking about that. I'm playing in dynasty. Where i have aaron rodgers and so so he is aaron rodgers but i have still left to play. T. hawke nsen. Andy andrea swift and last week against a really good defense. Tj hodkinson at twenty one point seven and swift head twenty point four. They both had touchdowns. I feel confident that i can win. This matchup i really do because you know what these are. The top two weapons for the lions. And if you have these guys. I think they're going to do very well in this match up against the packers. I really believe that because listen like you look at how the saints played against the panthers. They were terrible. That just goes to show. How bad the packers defense was. Winston did not pass for one hundred fifty one hundred forty eight barely missed it. Okay and he. He had five touchdowns in the game. But that's because of how bad the packers were in the game. Packers defense can stop anything. Their offense put them in. you know. Put the saints in great position to do whatever they wanted score touchdowns you know. The the packers defense is not good ends. Area smith is it was placed on i are arguably their best pass rusher and their defense is just not good so i think hopkinson and swift. They are going to have good games here. Okay and i was fortunate enough because my friend had edwards alaron andrews in the sunday night game and they did nothing they combined for. You know about barely under eleven points so that was big. Lamar was huge. Came big was clutch in the performance against the chiefs. And he put me up. Twenty one and rogers has to match that so he roger's gonna have to get about thirty about thirty plus if my friend is going to win this match up and swift and hodkinson are gonna have to combine for what andrew and edward solaire did. But i don't think. I don't think so because you know what when you look at the ravens offense and the chiefs offense and you compare them to the lions will. Mark andrews is the top target. But i don't think. Mark andrews is as consistent as the big three like waller and kelsey and kittles. Been okay to start the year And edwards hilar- is just not even close to what swift is swift is definitely better than edward solaire. I know it's been two games. But at but swift definitely has proven that he's better and i think that these two guys are the main weapons on the lions. When you'll get edward to he you know the chiefs were. They love to throw the football. What are the ravens. Love to run the football. Okay so you know. Edwards layer could work on the ravens. You know because the ravens love to run the football. But you know he's on the chiefs and they don't run it as much they throw it. And also daryl williams got a rushing touchdown germ-killing on involved in the offense. Edward soleil really didn't do anything against the ravens. Any fumbled so at solaire might not be running back for much longer and also mark andrews the ravens. They were running the ball ton and he really didn't do anything in the game. Either so hopkinson. I expect him to be a top target. For jared goff again had a great game against forty niners like i mentioned was targeted. Eleven times had ninety seven yards receiving against the forty niners. In the edit touchdown. i think he's gonna do. Well i think he's gonna score touchdown in the game against the packers and then i think swift who you look at his stats from the game. Against the forty niners had thirty nine rush yards. But in the receiving sixty five yards receiving and a touchdown. I think both of these guys they score touchdowns in this game against the packers because of how heavily involved they are in the offense and also not to mention title. Williams is not. I don't think he's playing this game. So it's going to open up the door for more opportunities for this guy for both of these guys. Sorry to produce for this detroit offense. So i think i'm in good shape when it comes to this week. I think i'm going to win. It's going to be very close. Because i think rogers is definitely gonna bounce back after that ugly performance last week against the saints. But he's going to have to get he's going to have to get thirty plus points if he's gonna win and he's got a hope that swift and hopkinson don't do anything right now. I have a ninety nine percent chance of winning and that makes me really happy. What really is going to set the tone. I think for this match up for the game tomorrow is it depends on who gets the ball because i think that the line start off with the ball and they have this amazing drive and swift and hodkinson are heavily involved and one of them scores on that drive. I think that sets the tone for the rest of the game. I think that rodgers will have a good game. But i think that ultimately win the match up however if it goes the other way green bay gets the ball to start and rogers goes right down the field scores a touchdown and he has like you know seven eight points on that drive. I'm going to be a little nervous. I'm going to be a little nervous. But i think really what i'm positive about is the fact that green bay's defense is gonna give up points and i think that as long as you know golf doesn't turn the ball over and hopkinson isn't being guarded by dr alexander which i don't think it's really gonna happen. I think he's going to go on one of the receivers and you know the packers. Don't run the packers. Can't stop the run either so that definitely helps out swift a lot. Jamal williams is definitely going to be involved in the offense to because i think those are the three best weapons hodkinson williamson swift..

'cause i have i wrote down one hundred fifty receiving yards seven touch receptions and two touchdowns at two fifty to one but this happened to me when we did tonnison and he got there. The one hundred fifty receiving yards is impossible for the tight end. So i'll just go. Tj hodkinson to have three touchdowns receiving at two hundred and fifty to one. Let's go winning it all back and then some yeah that feels great and again shop shop for the price is pleased because like for example. I see aaron jones. The score i in green bay to win is priced less than aaron jones. Score first touchdown doesn't make any sense. They've too many bets there sleeping at some of the wheels just how it works asleep at the wheel. Everyone's got a job. Everyone males in a certain part of that job and it's normal ryan merge. "Am game against a team whose well rested. I just. i just. Don't see this going. Well for the raiders. For the las vegas raiders at as weird as it sounds. I just don't see the raiders being able to compete with the pittsburgh steelers actor they just showed the world and the whole nfl world. Hey we just be a good buffalo bills team who has super bowl aspirations. We're here where legit we're gonna show you by. Shutting down the raiders. At-home easy money. Take the steelers. Give the six to the raiders. And you know what i see. This being a lopsided game just on the fact you got a west coast team. Who played monday night. Football traveling all the way across country and into short week because they're playing the early game the earliest of early games. They're probably the first game that kicks off this week. I just it just a bad look. Bad spot for the vegas raiders in this scenario and i just see the pick steelers winning this game by at least seven or ten points. It might get ugly. It could lead ugly really really quick and last but not least my my last game speaking of ugly. This game is not going to get ugly. This game is going to be a barn burner. And i'm talking about the monday night. Football game against the lions and the packers inland both field. So some people may say you know what. I like. Aaron rodgers in this situation i like him to bounce back his number against the detroit lions but no what. That was a different lines team. You got gained campbell now. Trying to bite off kneecaps and dan campbell making his way and having that lines team being able to fight and scratching claw and just fight their way through a game and they don't give up. Everybody talked about lines last week and said oh. Wow the san francisco forty niners. They gave up no but detroit lions they had a good squad expecially on offense and then often to line will dominate any defensive. Line out there. Expect this to be a tight close match on monday night football. I can't wait to see peyton manning manning. I can't wait to see who they have on to talk about this game. An awfully surprised when people give me the lines. Gimme the lines. Plus eleven plus eleven. Monday night football. You telling me that a divisional round game at home when the lions have a great success for four games against the spread a running team. Who's dominant jamal. Williams and d. Andre smith went to point. And you got. Jared gov throwing his favorite guide line new favorite tied. Tj hodkinson and. i just. I don't see green bay being able to keep up and contain this offense. I think there's going to be a high scoring game if it's not it might be a detroit lions blowout. Everybody's thinking what are you crazy. Yeah i might be crazy. I got little hirings. Plus eleven on monday night football. It's a lock. It's my lock of the week. Lions plus eleven. Take that in and you know what that is. That would suggest that they didn't really believe andrea swift was good enough football shape to be able to handle a full workload and not that he was going to handle a full workload but really questioning him out the volume of work he could do especially in week one so i expect him to play. He was a full participant yesterday for the record. But i just don't know it might be a feel thing. Like how does he look does. He looks like he's getting tired as they have to. Rotate out more frequently. I think this week is a tough call. Andy andrea swift. I'm with you. I loved the andrea swift. I think the lions offensive line as a chance to be good this year. They're not just automatically good but they have a chance. But i would take for me and something that i've i've said this for a long time. I grew up with this but with david montgomery. It's a very unpredictable. Here he was five and eleven with no defense in carolina last year. That's also true and this defense should be really good. We saw patrick tan dominant west. I think their their defense. It's tough to find holes in this defense and of chubb and von miller. That's been the issue. They haven't really been healthy together for extended periods of time often of line. You know not amazing but should be pretty solid. And they added defenders darby well and that's the big one right because he picked up guys who can play his system vic fangio. We talk a lot about brandon. Staley coming from the rams to the chargers and how he deployed some concepts very similar. Oh vic fangio the guy he learned from. And i think it's important in those defense is to have a guy that you can lock down. So the fact that ser tan and fuller show up two guys that excel in man coverage. It's gonna let this team do some things. I think they were the thirteenth overall defense last year anyway. Yeah they were the eleventh past the anyway they are the best red zone past the anyway Vic fangio is a trustworthy guy when it comes to putting out a defense and so you know we teddy bridgewater does seem like a safe way to get to eight or nine wins. But i do think that drew lot flashing in the offseason is gonna make it difficult and guess what you can always you can always go to teddy. He's gonna be ready. There isn't let's will always take your call last. They go the lady. Just send a over to teddy skill positions around. He's that six. That's the booty. One first round pick k- hamblur second round and maybe drew lock is just average but a average drew lock with this good defense with devante williams things really gonna pop and with scott myers that can that can possibly take take his game. How much better would it really take. It would be astronomically higher. I mean so much higher than any other rookie titan history. You're talking like here. And you're who you're talking about twenty five percent of the last rookie season ever if you add that onto the best rookie season ever then you get to. Where he's an acceptable picking this range. Whereas you're talking about tj buckets in. Who is the time. He was tied in four last year while being injured in dealing with Obviously the same poor team. He was one of five tight ends to have one hundred plus target. And now you got rid of marvin jones. You got rid of kennedy golladay. He is the number one target going into his third year. Tj hopkinson is going to break out this year whether or not. His breakout is worth the draft capital. I will say this if you are someone who hates streaming. Titans hates trying to figure out the match ups the plays that this and that then it is worth it for you to to to save your fab dollars to save. Your transaction counts through through the year if you're on a waiver priority system Then i think that is worth it. Because i i can't see him having fewer than one hundred twenty five targets and that's just enough volume if you're and a half pr pr league. Yeah i i don't think you're gonna see more of the same from hawkers in his last year matthew stafford we've talked a lot about him on the recent shows. He's a better quarterback injured. You have to think of cockpits as a wide receiver. We went back yesterday. Like you said i agree with everything that we were talking about yesterday. In terms of what the ceiling looks like calvin ridley's rookie season one hundred. Seventy five fantasy points. I think i call pits at one hundred seventy nine. But you've got to be in the to twenty plus range to be the kiddle kelsey difference maker for the team. That being said one thousand plus yards for kyle pits touchdown upside. I think you're going to get that. And i think your odds of touchdowns with matt ryan and that offense and what role he has to play there in camp coalpit says. Look the part. They're moving them around the formation. You cannot do those. Athletic things with tj hopkinson. You can't and you got seven hundred yards last year in. Sixteen games from tj hodkinson. That got you tight in for our more upside in the fifth round than teacher. Hawkins and sure but tj hogson is an extreme athlete. Like he was. Yes he's he is not kyle pets. I agree out-pizzas. He's carpets is the only one. Yeah he he breaks. He breaks the mould. But i mean if you're comparing hodkinson watch talking to the other top tier athletes. I'm just saying athletically. Speaking he's up there with you. Know your george kittles as a tight end. Yeah i mean six five almost two hundred fifty pounds and like food four seven forty to watch him for two years mike. Do you look at tj hopkinson. Two years teacher hopkinson and say he delivered on on the what you expected or was it less than you expected. It was just eyeballs. I think he delivered what i expected. And between the two. I i if i'm taking that tight end in the fifth round or the six round. Somehow they both happened to be there. I would go hopkinson of i side with jason. Believe hopkinson is going to be the number one target for for the detroit. Lions and i think that the upside is is there. I mean maybe you're not getting the splash plays like from kyle pits. But you won't see a splash play every single week. Meanwhile you should see seven plus targets for hopkinson every single week. Yeah his cat. His yards per catch is lower than all those athletic explosion tight ends. Yes so just one last point of clarity though if that's the normal like historical projection for all tight ends of all time. Is you get you you add to those things. So he's going into his third year. Which is the normal breakout year for tight ends. And that's where it's like. Yeah he has not been great yet but he was a rookie and he was a sophomore at a position. Where you don't usually do at that early. You do see splash plays early. You see them with mark andrews earlier george kettle earlier. No fan earlier. He has gone down in yards per catch over. The first two seasons had a lot of drops a lot of penalties lot of drops. That's a lot of a lot of issues way percent drop rate. My point is not that he can't. I mean it. It's a tough position to break out in detroit with a with a worst quarterback a different offensive system anthony. Lynn is your as your offensive coordinator. We don't see hodgkinson's upside the same. That's all and i look at. I don't look at him as the athletic upside that that a wide receiver kyle pits. Has they're not gonna play. Coal pits traditional tight. End off the block situation. They're going to run them all over the field and like that. Potential better yeah. I don't think we view his upside that differently. I think we view is down. Because i don't see him as getting into that. Kelsey gidel waller tear to be really really safe wide before Last year was about one hundred targets. I think that will go up to one hundred and thirty eight hundred four. Well we bet on it there. You go so we'll we'll settle it that way. Higby at seven head be as the tight end. I most likely to end up with on my team same He is drafted in the tenth round. He is a player that i think. Ironically you know matthew stafford coming over from detroit offers tremendous upside to. He has been a focal point of the offense for certain games in the past. When joel wasn't there and we didn't see average tied in play. We saw explosive tight in play. So this is the post hype sleeper of the year at the tight imposition position. I hope the draft. I don't think the draft price will go up. No because he's tyler higby disappointed people last year spending the league long enough. He's we we know his upside isn't going to be something You know astronomically high. His draft capital will be in the tenth round. And i absolutely love it. Because you you lost gerald everett. You lost josh reynolds. You brought in a better quarterback again. You lost camakers. Where i think you're going to have to throw the ball more higby could get it done and and i would much rather like again if lock it and hopkinson were there in the fifth. I would rather grab tyler higby late and start at wide receiver. You've seen the volume when gerald avid is out higby averages five targets a game. Which of course. I'd prefer more but that's solid and you have you have at least a proof of concept when you go back to the two years ago where the the the higby hype really started rolling. Because he was tyler higby where in in five straight weeks the tight end one three or a one five three nine one a he. He turned into this waiver. Pickup that saved people Over the final stretch of the season. So i'm i'm not overly bullish on tyler higby as much as you guys are but i think that he is he someone in the double digit rounds. That i believe can take that jump. So i'm perfectly fine drafting higby. What about robert tanya at eight right. Now he's eighth on our list He's of and around ahead of higby. It hasn't gone for a guy that finished tied in three they. Adp has gone insane. A lot of that's been suppressed by aaron rodgers. question marks through the off season. "And we're back here on the gs mc fantasy football podcast for the third segment of today's show. I'm going to be doing my position. Rankings for the teams in the nfc north regarding fantasy. So let's get right into that so starting off the team. That finished in last place last year. The detroit lions and the lions have gone through a lot of changes. They now have a new quarterback. Jared goff they did the trade with the rams. The swapped quarterback stafford going to the rams and golf going to the lions. Have a new head coach. They lost some firepower on offense with in regards to marvin jones and kenny golladay. So this is going to be a different team this upcoming season and they're not going to do very good this year. They're going to be a rebuild. Though i like. I've been saying over the past couple of weeks. I do like the dan campbell signing a lot more each day and i feel like he definitely is going to provide the culture. Change that the lions do need. But i think they are going to be in a rebuild. So yeah so looking at the position ranking so i'd probably have to put their defense last. I think a lot of people of course are going to stay away from their defense. Of course they do have some playmaker young players that you know we're going to continue to develop and hopefully get better for this rebuild but i think that you know the defense is going to be one of the worst in the league. Probably so say their defense is probably going to be a last in terms of the position. Rankings regarding fantasy. So then after that i would probably have to say. It is the quarterback position and it. It really has to do with. Jared goff now. Jared goff has proven to be a solid quarterback in the nfl. But that is in large part to do what he's had to surround him with. You know he's had sean mcveigh's head. Coach said a great offensive line. A great running game with todd gurley for the first couple years of his career. And then you had robert woodson cooper cop you know as well and you had some good tight ends to so now you go into a situation where you don't have that you have a weaker offensive line. The andrea swift is a good player. And jamaal williams. You know what i think. He's going to do well in his role to so they got a nice little bit of a one to punch their You know but the wide receivers. I mean persad perelman and tyrone williams is definitely a downgrade from especially since daryl williams was injured for the whole year last year. You know. it's definitely a downgrade from cooper robert woods and of course they did draft the wide receiver seeing brown. So they do have that. But you know they also do have tj hodkinson. But it's just. It's not the same. And i think jared goff is going to struggle. I am hoping that he. I am pulling for him this year. I really hope that he does well in his role. But i just don't think he is. But we'll have to wayne say so then after the quarterback spot i'm going to have to put their wide receivers. I just feel like you know again. The wide receivers it. It's very spotty tyrone williams you know in twenty in twenty nine thousand nine was pretty. Good with the raiders You know so. I think you definitely help out the receiving core and think rashad. He can help out as well. But i i just don't think they're going to have. The same level of impact is more of jones. Kenny golladay would in this offense. And especially because i don't think jared goff is going to have the level protection protection that he had in l. a. And we've seen how jared goff is when he's under pressure and he is really bad. He could be really bad at times so i like that. That's what's going to be the problem and you know. They draft pennies sewell. You know and that's definitely going to help but how much is going to help really You because again. Jared goff is not a good quarterback under pressure. You know so if the offensive line holds up then it's a different story but you know i just feel like that's gonna really hurt this offense. A lot is because jared goff is not under pressure so yeah the receivers and then i would say tj hodkinson would come next. I just feel like he's going to be the top target in this offense. I i feel like jared goff you know when he has a good tight ends you. That's a security blanket and we saw that with higby and gerald and tj. Hopkinson is a very talented tight end. And i feel like because he's really the established player on this offense one of the few established players on this offense because there's a lot of new pieces coming in you know i. I just feel like you know. Jared goff is gonna find him as a security blanket and he's going to be his top target so i i would probably put him at number two in terms of position. Rankings tight end spot then. I would say the running backs. I would say you know because you bringing in now jamal williams as i said i think it's a you know an underage combo between him and swift. You know in swift. When he was healthy he produced. You know he. He definitely produce at times in know. So i definitely think those guys you know they can be productive and they will probably be the best position group in terms of fantasy you know out of the rest on their teams because they i think they will generate the most points you know because the wide receivers are going to be inconsistent golfers. I think not going to be that. Good this year but will say and you know hopkinson. I think it's going to be the top target. So you know we'll we'll see what happens. But yeah that's my position. Rankings regarding fantasy for the detroit lions so moving onto the next team team that finished in third place last year. Was the minnesota vikings now. I expect the vikings to be a much better team this year. I think there's no question about it. So i would see the tight end. Spot is going to be coming last in terms of the position rankings. Now i think earth smith junior is going to be an underrated sleeper going into the draft. You know for fantasy in. Oh i definitely think he could be possibly the number three option you know. Now the vikings they did bring in dede westbrook so maybe that kind of changes things a little bit. But now the kyle rudolph is no longer there. Smith junior is the guy tight end. And i and i think he's definitely going to increase in value..

"Right and we're back here on. Gsm see fantasy football podcast. for the third segment of today's show. We're going to do a player. Rankings of the players in the nfc north will be going from the bottom up to the top. Which would be the best player. I don't wanna say you know best and worst because you know if they're not that good when it comes to fantasy i don't include them on here. You know so we're going to go from the bottom to the top when it comes to fantasy value and you know how. I think they're going to do this season so let's get right into the listen. I have here so starting off the list. here. I have jared goff now. I'm including him on here just because he's a quarterback and he could definitely provide points at he could definitely be a streamer option during ear. Probably be very rare. 'cause the lines are not a very good team. And i do not think that jared goff is going to have a very good season for the lions however i think i should include him on this list just because he is a quarterback and he does deserve some respect for what he's done over the course of his career yet hasn't been a terrible quarterback he's been solid but a lot of people will say that's because of the system that he played in. Obviously playing with sean mcvay and play with the rams and having great offensive line and a good running game and really good wide receivers. That does help you. You know so. I think that is you know. Definitely an reason why he's been very good Not very good but solid. You know as a quarterback. But i would include him just because he's a quarterback and again like i said he could definitely be a streamer option. If you know. You're desperate at the quarterback position. And if he does happen how good matchup that week so he's the first player on this list. Then after that moving on is irv smith junior tight end for the vikings. I think he's going to have a good season for the. Vikings definitely could be a guy that could ride your bench. I feel like you know. I feel like you could be a guy that you know. Maybe you start at times if you're desperate at the tight end spot. He's definitely somebody that you could put in like. I talked about on preview shows. The vikings don't have a number three wide receiver that they could really depend on. So he's definitely a guy that is going to see an uptick in targets. Also because of kyle rudolph leaving it. Free agency to go to the giants. He's going to see more targets. And i think he's going to be more of a factor in this vikings often so look for him to be a guy that you want to potentially get for. You know your tight end position. I think he's going to have a decent year for the vikings so then moving on after that. I actually included. Aj dylan on this list. As well i feel like he's gonna play more of a role in this offense for the packers this year. Obviously jamal williams is not there. He's in detroit now so. I think it's probably a good idea if maybe you would want to. You know if you have aaron jones on your team you probably stashed on your benches. Well i feel like he's he's going to be. More of a factor in aaron jones does have a tendency to miss gamer to sometimes. So i feel like you know. He is an insurance policy for that but also he'd be a great just to start you know for you. Know if in case joneses is hurt and has to miss time. So i think he's gonna have a good year i think he's gonna play more of a role in the packers off and so. Aj don't another player on this list. After that is tj hodkinson. I think he's the best weapon on detroit right now. I feel like he's gonna have a huge role in this offense and even bigger role than he's had in years past just because now when you lose guys like golladay and marvin jones and free agency and replacing them with Shod paramount entira williams and williams coming back from injury you know. I don't think he played it all last year. So he's gonna have to you know. Get his footing right and perriman. You know he's a nice piece. But i i don't think he's a guy that's you know going to provide a lie when it comes to fantasy but hopkinson again tight end a guy that you know a lot of people are going to wanna because of the tight end spot and also you know. He was a top five tight end last year. I believe you know when it came to points he was you know he did get a points i think he average like eight points a game. You know and jared goff loves to target his tight ads that something that he loved to do in la and teach you. Hodkinson is one of the few weapons that he does have. So i think he's going to take advantage of that and teaching. Hopkinson i think is better then gerald everett and i better than higby as well so you know. Let's see how they do together. I think he's gonna have to use them a lot. He's probably going to be his security blanket in detroit. So you know if hopkinson is there and you need to tight end. I think he's a guy who potentially wanna get so then after. That is the andrea swift. You know the running back spot. I think he could definitely be a solid flex option for your team. Possible rb to you know. Also jamal williams is there so i think that is something that you want to keep an eye on because jamal williams he could be a good option to start here and there as well depending on how deep your leagues are. But i would swift. I feel like swift is going to be the lead back. I think he is the you know. I really think he's going to have a good year this year. He was good last year. And let's see how they let's see how they do together him and jamaal williams but i feel swift probably be you know a little bit of a notch on hawkins and just because you know the running back position i think people value over you know the tight end spot but also i just feel like you know he's going to have a better year than hopkinson. You know just in my opinion then moving on. I got justin fields next. I feel like. I put him here instead of dull and believe it or not because i feel like he will be late round. Pick a hot waiver wire pickup when the bears do eventually make the switch at the quarterback position. Because you know that's probably coming. I think he is the more explosive option of the two quarterbacks. And i feel like he could definitely be a solid. You know quarterback to for your team definitely. The bears are definitely going to have some good matchups this year. So you know if he has starting at that point e definitely gonna wanna start him. I think he's going to have a good year. And i feel like you know when you look at the weapons that he does have. He does have allen robinson. The tight ends are in bad. D'arno moody's enough incoming young receiver. So i feel like he does have stuff to work with. And i think that you know again. He's a quarterback he's gonna put up a lot of points. And yeah i. I think he's going to put up. More points than jared goff is going to this year just because i feel like the bears are better equipped at team than the lines are so yeah justin fields and other player on this list then moving on to the next player i got robert tongan and he was a guy that was a great waiver. Wire pickup for myself. I think he's definitely going to be a top five tight end this year if aaron rodgers obviously plays because you know we still don't know what the deal is with that situation whether he's going to come back or not as a green bay packer. I still think he is. I'm trying to be optimistic. But you know who knows but if he does play robert tanya is going to be a top five tight end again you know. He was a big red zone target. Aaron one of aaron rodgers favor weapons last year. And i feel like he's gonna be even better this year. If aaron rodgers doesn't play and look for him to be a guy that's going to be taken you know one of the top tight ends..

So there are two teams so essentially four picks between you and your next one. That could take tj hodkinson away from you. Yeah i still have a lot of belief i know he was very very inconsistent. But when you have a hundred receptions a lot of yards you play for a great quarterback you have a great rapport. You just got paid a bag. I'm still all about tyler. Lockett the season okay. I'm not going to worry too much about his poor stretch of games that Where he didn't score because consistency is an inconsistent metric. So i will take tyler lockett to go with. Melvin gordon might as well james robinson might take over for for his team. Mike davis might take i mean. It's just like davis is the starter and mike davis is my pick. Okay that makes sense The running backs are really thinning. Out here melvin. Gordon went he most went after. Your mike davis pick so. I'm now on the clock and when i'm looking at the running backs i again. I'm not a believer in chase edmunds as a guy. I want to rely on for running back Then it's james robinson davonte williams guys that you know you're really really not sure of the role and when you look at my roster. I've got two running max z. Cam and i've already got three wide receivers so a lot of times. I think fantasy football managers when they're playing the game. They're saying. I gotta go running back here. If they don't like the quarterback tight end they. They're like well. I've already got three wide receivers chur. I've only got two running backs. So i'm in the running extra thinning out so i gotta take one but if i did that i would be taking james robinson type of player over a wide receiver. That i think is much better. Someone like People love demar chase and odell beckham there on the board there upside versus one of those running backs i think is is significantly higher. Are you going down the adp. What's that are you going to dig down. I might dig down I you know i personally. I'm looking at who is left here and there you go robbie so robbie's the guy one robbie. I read you like a book. You read me like a book. Because robbie anderson is much much lower. And it's tempting to play the game right of going. Well you know. That's a long wait. It's a long way. And i don't think i'd get them. I already played in in law and gambled and lost once. So i'm between basically robbie anderson above his adp. But i believe he absolutely belongs here or dallas. Goddard at tight in those are my decision. Okay 'cause after dallas got her then to me it drops down to like tyler higby level guy that will get later but i am a if go back and listen to yesterday's show. I talk a little bit about robbie anderson. I believe that he is a really talented wide receiver on a team. That is offensively up and coming and he had so much volume last one hundred thirty six targets and he's talented. So i am going to add robbie anderson here. I'm adding him six targets. Ninety five receptions almost eleven hundred yards only three touch just didn't get the touchdown that's that's the hopeful change from teddy bridgewater is someone that could get it done in the red zone all right. You took robbie than we saw devante williams the rookie running back out of denver. Jomar chase in other. Rookie t higgins so jomar in t higgins back tobacco that make you feel. Jason makes me feel fine I think that you're calling your shot choosing tamar chase. Because the upside is higher. I still believe t higgins will have a better season this year but has a less likelihood of the massive breakout that you hope for in fantasy. But i do think genuinely t higgins has a better fantasy football season than chase. And it'd be willing to bet that. I'll consider chase edmunds dallas. Goddard's not russ smart wilson.
