"Twenty Bucks Yeah. I would say I'd go higher right I I think that for a movie like that because it's. A different experience right like if you watch his movies. You're totally into his movies right so you're a diehard probably if you're if you like him. You follow. You've seen them all so yeah I think you could go at least. I think go even further Clinton. Gates was saying forty, nine, ninety, nine, potentially for a movie like that well, the thing is i. think what you were saying was that he wants to release it in theaters right right and I think it's a mistake because I think you're not gonNA. You're not gonNA generate the revenue. You need right now. Not GonNa. GENERATE THEIR I. I mean listen if if you're going to be socially distant in a restaurant, and then you say well, what is social distance? Look like in a movie theater and let's say the average theater has one hundred seats, but now you can only put forty people in the one hundred seats right? Why why would you do that? Why not see this is the thing? Everybody is trying to take a square peg and stick it into a round hole through cove it. They're saying I. Want it the way it was, and the thing is. Things aren't the way they were, and we're not even really positive. If things are ever going to be the way they were correct, put put yourself in the situation of Stan Kroenke. How am I going to put this? How am I putting people in the stadium in the future? What is the future of putting people into his brand new five hundred million dollar stadium. So I'm with you I think people what they ought to do is embrace the possibilities and say. Let's do something bold and different. Let's just sell. It will sell it for more money. People will buy it at their home and let's see what happens, I think. Listen George! You're onto something here. I think it would make all the sense in the world I'd Pay Forty Fifty Bucks for the movie. Because to your point, I'd spend the more at the theater anyway, and at least you're getting something as opposed to nothing. You know if you're these a movie studios. I like this idea. I like this concept George Donald, you know Hollywood is listening dude. They are listening and they'll be listening to you in a couple of minutes. Who Do you got today? I got your man's Stephen a Smith coming in this. Telhami Salo Send Them My love. Do you know that I sent? Boo Shabby, your whole Tim Kurkin what he saying. Do you also know that I was telling Boob I've never seen his Korean baseball broadcasts that come on at two thirty in the morning here in southern California George, he invited me to wake up at two thirty in the morning, but promised a shout. If I, actually did improved it to him that did. And I woke up man. I had my alarm set at ten thirty. Do you're going to love what Duke said on television? Oh I can't wait to hear I can't wait to hear Scott. CAPITALISTS COMING UP NEXT CHECK IT out from noon to three, and of course, Mason an island and three o'clock. Love your brother. Be Good, Harrison. Made that mistake. I give you these three teams. You have to take one <hes> dodgers. This astro who's better. I think the dodgers are the best of those three. Astros are the second best yankees. These are the third best dodger starting pitching great dodgers to sit the most homers ever in an eight-game span most homers ever in the nine games fan and they can pound you from one to nine in that order and they're all pretty angry about losing in the world series the last two years i saw spring training. Thank slightly different look to that team and i think they're the best team in baseball and i think of those three teams two of them. Two of those three are going to play in the world world series <hes> there is no fourth right like the the different raising pretty good the difference but the the braves are better than anyone that division by a good amount. Do you put you don't put you put the braves samat category. I i think the nationals have an outside chance to beat the dodgers but only if sherzer strasbourg corbin are great. I don't think the brains have enough pitching to beat them and cleveland. Has it outside outside chance to beat the yankees and or the astros but only if corey kluber comes back which is highly unlikely coming back <hes> as a great pitcher if he comes back and as dominant they're pitching could be it good enough to really give the astros and or the hard time does vic bleeping fangio looked like the grump and movie studio security guard hard clumsily chasing the muppets through a variety of wacky movies. If you wanna learn more about the Dan Patrick sportscasting, go to full sail dot EDU slash Dan. Patrick right poll question. Mclovin, what are we going to go? So I got one for you. Okay. Tuesday's headline will be raptors win the championship. Katie keeps the warriors alive. Warrior. Stay alive despite not having Kevin Durant. Which one would you bet on of those three if you were going to go with the headline for tomorrow? Raptors win Durant in the warriors win warriors win without Kevin Durant. Yes, paulie, I would go with a third one warriors. Stay alive. Despite new K D for it. So that's what I was going to say as well, especially if there was reports that he had ice in two different parts of his leg after minimal practice doesn't sound like he's ready to go. Yeah. But that's precautionary that that's normal when whenever you work out, no matter how far along, you are in your rehab. You would just be icing. It no matter what guys ice, their knees after every game, a lot of guys do, and all it is, is just their swelling. And then it takes down the swelling and then that's it or you get into an ice bath. But. If Kevin Durant didn't have this injury. He'd probably be icing down something after working out, but I don't think he plays because I don't know what I could expect out of him. How many minutes he can play? I think it's really if you said to Steve Kerr, you may have him, but you're not really sure what you're going to have, or you can go with this lineup. Then he he might opt for that lineup because he knows then how to coach them I think it's going to be very fluid of if Durant plays how much he plays is the effective. How effective how many minutes do get greedy and say, I gotta keep you in a little bit longer. Yeah. Seton? It kind of feels like if Kevin Durant plays an effective than it could have played the last game. So if get a why charity, do it or did you just somehow get this? You know, he'll this quickly in the last three many people in this room think the warriors, handled this poorly with Kevin Durant. Seton, fritzy, mclovin. Why don't you think that they handled this poorly? I you know, I think that he's been really close to playing but not quite there. And I think the injuries more serious calf injury. It's like a little bit of achilles, too. So I, I have no problem. I'm not calling Katie saw from not getting out there. I know. But it the appearance is that there is some other objective that he has or that this isn't as important to him, or that, hey, you want to see if they miss me, I'll show you that you miss me. I it feels like people are looking for storylines here reading into this where I think, if the warriors had said and they didn't want to do this probably for the competitive aspect of this or the gamesmanship they didn't want to say Katie is not going to play. For the first five games of the finals. Yes, mclovin. Like went that gave the raptors a ton of confidence, and that's all the raptors exactly confidence in the process. I think the warriors kinda hung Katie out to dry. I don't think they didn't mean to but. I would love to know what that conversations like right now or say about six hours from now. We're Steve Kerr says to Katie, how are you feeling now? What can you give me? Or maybe be even get to that point wrapped. You know the doctors might say he's not playing against the raptors. Yeah. Polling, I guess, I don't think the is ending wrong or Durant, but the war is by being a bit vague with Kevin Durant injuries. Like a strategy play. I think that they just keep him out there as if he could play. And it's a strategy thing, but it's let us in the media for the past four weeks. Speculate and chop up Durant injury. And they unintentionally left it up to us to decide whether he's ready to play or not. They left up to the media to judge it. Now everyone out there listening thinks this guy's been gone from and I listen to a show and they said he could be out there. We don't know for the finals, the raptors confidence level shouldn't be predicated upon how much Kevin Durant is gonna play or not play, if they would have said something ethica can only help the warriors, if they would have just said leading up to the finals. We're not expecting Kevin Durant back and it'll be a pleasant surprise if if he's healthy soon enough to to participate in the finals. And then Durant looks like a big hero if he's able to play at all during the series. Yeah. I was looking at this article USA today's Dan Walkin, he argues the warriors aren't handling katie's situation. Well, he said it wasn't fair to Durant who quite simply wasn't cleared to play and hadn't been healthy enough to practice until Sunday, and it couldn't have been more productive for the collective mentality of the team to go into a series like this against an opponent is go to Toronto expecting their best player to come back soon, only to see no real progress until their backs were against the wall, Dan. Walkin USA today goes onto right? Of course. There is a subtext to this in the tight, rope Golden State has had to walk all season with Duran's free agency looming as their big existential issue over what's become of their dynasty. If you treat him as if he's not coming back in the finals and unnecessarily in the first place. It doesn't help Golden State convinced him to resign. And yet spending every day of this series, issuing hopeful progress reports while waiting for him to turn this series around. Hasn't accomplished much other than disappointment. And frustration especially when there hadn't been any actual evidence that Durant was doing things on a basketball court that would be necessary for him to play a game. Yeah. I think you could have just come out and therefore, if he did come back, then it would be a pleasant surprise, not an expectation more of a surprise now. The last two day, two games, it's been more of an expectation not a surprise. And now I think they've made it to the point where it's almost expected of you to play or they're expecting him to play tonight. We'll get to phone calls coming up best in worse to the weekend, as we always do what you saw that you like to didn't like, mclovin..

"Tim kurkin knows more about baseball than anyone. I know he is modest about this. But I believe there's a question on this board. And if you wanna be on this board, seven eight six four five six eight three seven that. He might not be able to answer about baseball show Robert a Mets fan since nineteen Eighty-four you're on ESPN radio. What do you have for Tim coaching? Two questions. Number one. Jacob degrom. His last name is not capitalized. Why number two has ever been a pitcher to still play a call you guys next week manana curve because they grow for as the sun. What end is a curved because they're they grow toward the sun. All right. What do you can you answer? Either of those questions him. I'm certainly picture has stolen home before. But I don't know who that picture is. Remember, there were a lot of sales a home in the early nineteen hundred twenty different game was played type route so home like seventy times in his career Garrick stole home like twenty times in his career. So it was done a lot. Then you have to think of pitcher at some point did it. Although that's a very good question. And I'm not sure why do Grimes spells with a with a lower case D, I guess just I'm not sure how that works. But of course, Travis Dr knows on that team until recently. And I believe at one point they had three guys who sell their first name with lower case. And they had to take a p from a capitalized P and turn it upside down to make it look like a lower case D because the uniform the equipment guys didn't have enough lower. Or case Deeks what a great question and even better answer, Tim why were there so many people stealing home plate in the old days? Like what changed? Well, what changed is we we hit home runs now. So the risk reward of trying to steal a base and being put out when you have twenty seven out when the next eight guys in the lineup might are all capable of hitting a home run. This is what changed along the way is a whole little ball. Let's fun. Let's deal. Those days don't exist anymore. The Blue Jays had three sacrifice months last season. They didn't have their first sacrifice bunt until the middle of June..

"I think the list is long. I. I I want to believe the premise that the pressure is on the teams to be aware of this. But I I sent such a chill in the air that teams are willing to go for the value player. Even if it's less performance or it's higher risk of good performance. Then they are the certain player. And I I really think that that's created such a weird aspect to this market where we see players signing. Right. I mean, you you can list them. You know, we see a lot of players signing who aren't the best talent for that team. They're just the best price. And it's like the team is willing to stomach, you know, lesser production lesser performance lesser guarantee of performance to get a lower price and this staring contest. I just I wonder where the owners emphasis is because it seems like so much of it is on show. Going off how what a value contract they can get and not actually showing off what kind of player they can get. Yeah. And his teams look for value deals in the market. I think they also have to start assessing the history of these guys who signed late. I mean that needs to be a part of their equation because it doesn't look sunny. Greg Holland in theory, sounds great. But if you get virtually no returning what twenty two walks in twenty five innings for the cardinals. Yeah. If you're not gonna get a return on it. You might wanna think about the timing of when it's when it's right to add these guys Jared. Thank goodness. Yeah. Thank you. No problem. That's good to hear from you. Happy new year seen heads rejoice. It's TIMMY time this great game or what with Tim kurkin on baseball tonight. And typically covers baseball for ESPN Tim next week. The hall of fame announcement will be made we'll find out who's going to be inducted in two thousand nineteen it look, I covered Mariano Rivera. So I feel a little bit invested in this. Question for me. The big the big issue for next week is will Mariano Rivera become the first player in major league baseball history to get one hundred percent in terms of the votes from writers. I know that there's some Sweeney Murdy does a great job covering the Yankees for WFAN. He basically said he doesn't care. He feels like it's not that big of an issue in my feeling is it's kind of like when you're watching a baseball game in a guys you gotta no hitter perfect game. And it's in the seventh inning. I'm curious if they can reach that milestone, if somebody can hit for cycle, and I'm curious, and I get it Rivera's going to get into the hall of fame either way, he's a slam dunk candidate. But I am curious if that ceiling, we'll finally be broken do you care about that? I really don't care about that BUSTER for this reason. I he should be unanimous. Obviously great closer of all time is not a close second. But if Willie Mays and Hank Aaron didn't get in, and I know you've written and you're absolutely right. You're only compounding the mistake by not voting for him. But if you're gonna be guy to be the first unanimous guy, it should be somebody like Willie Mays or Hank air. But since that day has passed and Marianne offices on five different votes. I don't think our job is to tear into those people who didn't vote for Mariano Rivera. He's going to be thrilled. No matter what he's going to be thrilled. With whatever vote..

"And the ESPN app, Tim kurkin helping to cover the World Series for city SPN as always one of our most valued in senior baseball. Insiders, he'll also be part of the pre game coverage which you can hear on Sirius XM channel eighty as well. And he's kind enough to join baba shoes and covering for Stephen today on the Stephen, a Smith show here on ESPN radio, Tim. Thanks so much for doing this. I appreciate it. My pleasure, Bob, you're a good man, and I think we got the matchup that just from the outside looking in as the if your teams are out of it and you're just the average baseball fan. I think these are the two teams that you wanted to see. Yeah, poor a natural attraction. This is the series both people I would think nationally would wanna see, especially, of course the television networks. That doesn't mean the brewers wouldn't have been a fascinating story and this postseason or the World Series or the Astros trying to repeat for team to do that. You know, since the Yankees and two thousand, the main there were a lot of great storylines this year, but this one is probably what a lot of people really like in that the dodgers went to game seven last year laws. Now they're back, you know, two managers who play for each of the two teams here. I mean there there's so many great little story lines. Go along with this series and you're right. The brewers were great story, and I loved watching how Craig counsel did whatever he could to cobble together endings with his pitching staff. But when you were going for the s as great of a storyline as that was, I kept saying to myself, you can't sustain this. You can't keep doing this all with through, especially if you end up playing the Red Sox in the World Series that lineup, how there's never a whole that seems in that lineup, at least I think the. Dodgers have the lengthen their rotation to give you a series right. Even if you like the Red Sox. This has to be of those two teams, the team that's got the best chance. I would think to match up with the Red Sox and give them a good series. Yeah, I would agree Bob. I mean, if the brewers have been here would have been a great story and they would have a chance or need to beat the Red Sox, but there's also a chance that they would have their starter, their opener in game, one pitch one inning. Whereas the dodgers are gonna pitch, Clayton Kershaw, and right there is the difference maybe between those two teams is the depth in their starting rotation. And even though Kershaw has had a checkered past, as we know when it comes to postseason and pretty darn good is last seven times out and remember game one of the World Series last year, how brilliant he was so fully expect him to be great tonight. 'cause he, he, I think he's turned that corner and really learned how to pitch. But yeah, I think we need to get back to some point to really good pitchers going against each other game, one of the World Series and boy, did we get that tonight with Kershaw and Chris sale? You're right. We've got the matchup you'd want is to legitimate number one as is arguably the two best pictures of the. Five or six years in baseball. Having said that though, do you think both of these managers or going to approach innings out of the bullpen as we go through this series in that somewhat unconventional way, which we saw from both at times in their respective NL an ale is, are we going to see some starters, lengthening games a little bit and giving you maybe an inning or two on their throw day as we go through the series? Yeah, I don't think there's any doubt about that that has been a given over the last several years in the postseason. Everything changes in October, everything changes in the World Series, and I fully expect to see Rick forsillo pitching relief tonight. Let's say if they need an out Aaron out there inning here in ending there, and I think the dodgers will do the same thing even though the dodgers bullpen has been sensational so far. And the Red Sox bullpen has been way better than anybody -pected there's no doubt star. Are always ready to pitch in relief during the World Series. And I fully expect to see that tonight and all the way through the series Tim Kirch with us here on.

"He loves his family more than baseball. Magic thanksgiving. By the way, how deprives don't believe he loves his family more than baseball. I believe that is a lie. You tell the American public in order to keep up appearances. I don't believe that he loves anything the way that he loves baseball Taylor, you're on with Tim, Kirk, go ahead, Taylor. I was wondering when flat junior Boba shet- and Kevin busy. Oh, the sons of our favorite ninety. Baseball stars will take over the league and win the Blue Jays and other World Series. All three of those guys are going to be great led by Guerrero who's going to be extra extra great. It's going to take a while for that team to win the World Series. Again, I would give it maybe five to eight years before those guys are established, but they have to build around him and being in the Red Sox and Yankees division with all the money. Those teams have I, I wouldn't. I wouldn't take. It's going to happen anytime soon, but my goodness, those all three of those guys has a chance to be really good. Again, if you want a different show than the one we're presently doing, there is another one on Instagram live where me has an is just taking your basketball questions and giving basketball analysis here. We're doing the important stuff like asking Tim kurkin does. Tom, Rinaldi looked like the earnest Senator consistently dismayed by the questionable tactics and decisions of his party's leader, but nevertheless always supports that leader after much painful deliberation. Gene, you're on with Tim. Kirk should go ahead Jeanne. Hey, Kirk, John, I wanted to know in your career, what player do you think misused or wasted? I hate to use that their talent, the most. Well, I think Dwight Gooden slows as good a pitcher as I'd ever seen in mid eighties, he should have gone to the hall of fame and he'll never go to the hall of fame based on what he did to himself. He was so good in the mid eighties. He once famously said, sometimes I sit on the bench and I kinda root for my own team to make out fast, so I can get back out on the mound and dominate people. That's how good he was in his prime. One of the best curveballs I've ever seen fastballs upper nineties and that stuff should've played for fifteen years and it didn't Dr. K does Jason Garrett looked like the real estate agent who has his picture on urinal cakes and when he's in the bathroom nudges you and says, hey, that's me down there. What what, what is the Ken doll? He. Isn't he a mannequin? I don't see a kid at all. I think he's a mannequin isn't changing GARRETT'S sort of department store mannequin. Maybe means that you said he likes genitalia because Jerry Jones took it all. I did say that that's what Tim then maybe that is what I did. Jason Garrett was a puppet and. Okay. It's not that he didn't have any. Okay, very good. TED talks next week. Thank you sir. Donlevatar, but I don't know what you do with public comments because last time we heard from us on Whiteside he's questioning the way he's used and then ten ten days later he saying publicly, I believe in all of those decisions, I believe in nothing has Han says means anything. It's it's cartoon words stugatz you seem really broken up about this man. It does seem like you're holding back tears. The way I'm speaking. It sounds like I'm, I'm emotional about this. "I think Aaron judge make everybody else around him a lot better. This is Dan, Patrick hope had a great weekend our to the program more of your phone calls best and worst to the weekend, Tim kurkin from the mothership. We'll talk about the baseball that happened over the weekend and baseball later on today. And tonight. Astros Indians dodgers Braves, socks, Yang's, and then pop it all on with the Redskins and the saints. Eight, seven, seven, three DP show our Twitter handle at DP show. The glove has a poll question. I believe from the first hour. Why put up just as a placeholder was the post fight may lay good or bad for the UFC sixty five percents a good so far. But we also have some of our famous Monday morning dude poll option. Okay. As in starting with dude, what are you doing? Let's start with the Oklahoma defense. Oh boy. Owed l. Beckham for making critical comments about team, Blake Bortles for being bad, Blake chiefs, and Mason Crosby obviously missing five field goals for the Packers. Jason Garrett not going for two fourth down the hobby camp and Habib for jumping the octagon. And I actually per our pre show conversation would put the Shawn Watson out there for just running around too much dude. What are you doing. Yeah, you're watching him get hit. And you know, this is such a sport of attrition like you just there's only so many hits you can take before you're going to be sitting on the sidelines or you're going to be in a hospital bed. And this is a guy just he's coming off a CEO. You got to protect yourself because we know who's backing you up. You have to stay in the lineup. Self-preservation is so important for these quarterbacks and I don't care how big you are. It's going to hurt somebody's eventually going to hurt you. Somebody's gonna eventually gonna hit you and you're going to not be ready for it. Cam Newton still gets it gets hit hard, and there'll be a day when he probably doesn't get up or it gets up and you know he's limping off the field. You saw that, you know we, we've seen that through history and even though they're trying to protect the quarterback, you have to help protect yourself a little bit here. And that's what Shawn Watson has. Got understand. Because if you don't, you're not gonna make it through sixteen games. Mclovin. Would you say the same thing about Carson Wentz. Andrew, lock? Yes. All of them. Carson Wentz had had major knee surgery, nine to twelve months recovery. I understand if it's a playoff game, I understand it. But even then I, the risk and the reward, the have to weigh that out..

"This product contains nicotine nicotine addictive chemical. Back on get up and after a thrilling marathon of a baseball game last night, the Chicago Cubs season comes to an end at the hands of the upstart Colorado Rockies who advance out of the wild card game with a thrilling thirteen inning win. Here's our baseball tonight. Crew on the Rockies chances going forward, the general consensus is that the dodgers probably have the best chance to go to the World Series from the National League. Then there are the brewers, but now because they won, you have to ask, can the Rockies do at? Can they do that? I think the Rockies can do in the reason why this is one of the greatest teams I've ever seen. They went ten rounds in the NL west with the LA dodgers. They got knocked down, but they came back the next day and beat the Chicago Cubs in their home, ballpark and Wrigley field. This team shows a lot of character, right? And we saw their infield defense tonight rates was really good and has been all year. We know they can hit the ball out of the ballpark with Trevor story Nolan air or not, and more, but maybe most important. They have Kyle Freeland who we discovered. Again, tonight is an ace and their bullpen from September. One on has been really good. Just like it was great tonight. Those three os they threw tonight were terrific. And that's really important through book in September. Greeny you take a look at it be bullpens one into Milwaukee, Colorado starting staffs ERA nearly the same runs per game brewers, Rockies nearly the same in September. They were two of the best teams in the National League. That's Tim kurkin Mark to Shera happen to get up with your granny. Raby. Thank you very much guys..
