"The pride passion and pageantry of college football lives here. This is the qualifying bomb show hour two podcast. We are live in east Tennessee, the foot of the Smoky Mountains on a gorgeous mid November Friday football weekend homecoming. In Knoxville and the homecoming opponent, well, the number one team in the country. And welcome back. Great to have all of you here. We have been all over the place later in this hour. We'll talk to Mike. Griffith and Tim Tebow, but right now we head to auburn where Chris button joins us a big game down there between mississip and the Tiger's Chris, thanks so much. Always enjoy our conversations on Friday. So you have two teams who are coming off of a painful losses. What are you hearing from the players and the coaches about how they get it back together again for the early kick tomorrow? Yeah, well for Mississippi state, it's just been a pile up of close losses. I think the biggest thing is for auburn is how do you start to regain that traction in the offense and for bone mix he needs to find some leadership. He needs to find some confidence on the sidelines. And that's one of the things we talked about with cotar today was, listen, when it's three three, it's okay. 50 years ago in the SEC, it was okay to be three, three, three in a ball game. And don't let that attitude display to the rest of the team that you're disappointed that the past game isn't working right now. So I think it's all of a combination of that and trying to put that together this week against Mississippi state. Chris, there were a lot of takeaways from states loss, but the one that garnered the most attention was what Mike leach said about the kicking game. Has that been has that changed at all? Is there a new kicker? What is the situation? Is that a new kicker this week, but there could be next week, what you're talking about is that he basically said there would be an open competition on the campus for a new kicker. They have found 40 candidates. And they will audition them next week. He would not say who's going to start and who is going to kick tomorrow. He's going to wait and see how free game warmups are going. But he was not joking. It sounds like there will be a real audition, whether he pulled kids out of calculus class or econ, but there will have found 40 people that will audition for a job next week during practice. I don't doubt that he's going to do that, but I'm just throwing this up in the air. What are the odds of randomly finding a better kicker than he already has? Well, you're in a place right now in Knoxville where I spent 6 years and I covered a game there where they had to pull a kicker off the fraternity couch because they were down that night. And he went on to win the game for Tennessee. So you never know. Yeah, I wonder what happened to that fraternity team, though. They must have missed him. What's he got eligibility on the SEC? Let me close by asking by capturing something you said a minute ago about bone nicks because he has been so many different bone mixes this year is good though, bad bow. What happened last week other than facing a really good defense? Yeah, I think it's still learning though is the one that I talked to this week. For him, you can't let the lack of explosive plays kind of derail the rest of the game. They played a really good defense. And you can't let that, you know, have an impact on the rest of the team. Have an impact on the running game. And for him, what he told me was we just needed that one spark play to get things going. And co chairs was like, well, you don't need a spark play. You just have to have confidence that you're the guy that's going to get your team out of this. And he told us that it's okay to be disappointed, but you're not allowed to show that. The coaches are allowed to show that they're disappointed. You have to be the guy in the huddle that says, okay, we're gonna go run down the field and we're gonna put this in. Because it wasn't incredible difference if they saw last week. And they shouldn't have been turned off by that or disappointed in that. You have to have belief that in the fourth quarter, you saw the ability to win the game. So these trying to instill the confidence in the kids still. Chris button, down on the plane. Thank you very, very much, Chris, always appreciate you joining us..

"How did you know they're going to get a reaction? I don't know. But I'm curious, I'm curious about that because I don't think your career ever took you out here for a game. But you played in enough difficult places. Explain to those of us who sit around with our feet up eating popcorn during the game. What that 12th man means there are different names for it in other stadiums and Tiger stadium or auburn or wherever you play, but how difficult is that when you're the quarterback of the other team? Well, there's so many little nuances in the game that change. One of them just being the cadence. You go from being able to use a vocal cadence to being able to use silence, which just slows down some of your motions and some of your changes. It changes your ability to communicate, maybe change the play at the line of scrim with your offensive line communicate with your receivers. And if it's not just quite clear and practice and prepared, then you might have a few false starts. You might not be on the same page. There's been several games this year where the away team, you know, they're quarterbacks looking at the receiver saying, oh, it's because they couldn't communicate. And then you have the penalties from that. And I think probably the biggest thing is the momentum. You know what a and M did so special here a few weeks ago is they built a momentum behind them and that 12th man it's helped to propel them in the finishing moments of the game. That wasn't the same team that played Arkansas. It wasn't the same team that played Mississippi state. It was a different. It was a different team. And you know, I think you could even see Zach calzadas confidence. Change within the game. And, you know, when you have a crowd, when you have support, it really does change the way you can prepare. And that's why if you're the opposing team, that's where mental toughness comes into play. It's one of the things that Nick Saban has been so good at for so long is building mental toughness in his players that I can't fully block out all the noise, but I can do it just enough to focus on my job. As the game goes on and you're having to adjust. Is there a mental wear and tear to the quarterback from first quarter to fourth quarter when you're really you're fighting the crowd the entire game. You are. I think there's a there can be a mental fatigue. I think for some of the really good ones, I think they're just locked in. And they're not flinching. They're not paying attention to the noise around. You got better. I love the opposing fans. I love the hate. I almost like I almost like, yeah, I want it louder. That's why in LSU, I would always go to them and come on, you know? Cheer louder. But it was also, you know, like think about LSU. We would get off the bus and they would pour beer all over you. You would walk in and you'd have three generations of family members standing side by side, every single one of them saying something I can't repeat to you, you know? And that's two hours before the game. And you hear it throughout the pregame and then into the game and then by the end of the game and for me, I was I didn't want to shy away from it. I went to embrace it, you know? And I think that's one of the fun things about the SEC. It doesn't matter what stadium you go to is sort of I guess sort of excluding Vanderbilt. That is going to be pretty crazy. Whatever stadium you go to. Before you wrap up, I want to ask you about the rankings because there was so much reaction this week Cincinnati go home, little guy has no chance, all these things that almost were predictable, but I haven't had a chance to get your reaction to especially Cincinnati. Yeah. I didn't really mind them too much. I mean, what's the better solution? You know, I hear people complain, but I don't want to be a complainer. I want to be someone that brings a solution or a better option. And so I hear a lot of people complaining, but okay, then what's the right top ten? You know, where should Cincinnati be? And I also think it's really hard based on the definitions that we're working with. I think that's something that college football should really think about is coming up with clear definitions of exactly what you're looking for because this committee is a little bit different. You could tell they really made head to head, a big deal. Other committees haven't done that. So it changes and that's a little unique. It's kind of hard to understand, right? And so are you going to weigh a schedule or are you going to weigh a record? Which one's more important? We've seen that change year to year. And so obviously, there weighing the eye test more than just a record. So they're saying Alabama, even though you have a loss, we're still going to view you because of the eye test as the number two team. And Cincinnati, even though you're undefeated, the eye test, you know, we're putting you at 6. And so I think it's really interesting, but I would love to see college football even define it just a little bit more. Tim Tebow, joining us, he is announced he's running for mayor of a College Station and Brian after some of the comments here. I think you might win. I don't know about that. There are places you're more unpopular than you're in the league. That's terrorizing stadiums. Tim Tebow, thank you very much. Joining us. And we will take a break..

"Play action passes specifically windell Robinson because he's one of the fastest guys in the SEC. Talking to Tim Tebow, Tim, we talked a lot over these four or 5 weeks about Texas a and M quarterback situation. And I know you're the right guy to ask how a player who has struggled can suddenly be lifted up and played the game of his life, but how did that come out? I think first of all, it starts with Jimbo Fisher having a really good game plan. And I think a good thing or a bad thing, depending how you look at it. I think they were preparing for Alabama for an entire year. And I really do think that they didn't probably put in the same focus against Mississippi state. And against Arkansas that they did against Alabama, but I think when you talk about Zach calzada, the difference from Arkansas, mister B state to Alabama, just I mean it's crazy. He's a completely different player. And I give Jimbo a lot of credit, I think he supported him enough through the week where he was able to play with confidence. And I think the first drive of the game changed the whole game. When he was able to drive down, score a touchdown against Bama, I think there's something that clicked in him that said I can do this. And for the rest of the game, for the most part, he was very efficient. And I also think the way that Jimbo design plays, you didn't see him necessarily going one, two, three, four. You would see him kind of go to a side. It would be one to two and getting rid of the ball. And I think the offense created a lot of confidence. I think success early created a lot of confidence and you could see what Jimbo's been talking about. He has talent, but the rest of the piece is just weren't around him, and he didn't necessarily have it in him before that. I think with confidence, but you could see the confidence build throughout the game and confidence changes any player. And it seems like everyone fed off of that because you have an offensive line that has some really good players, but all of a sudden they were playing at a level that I haven't seen them play. Oh, there were so much better than against Mississippi state in Arkansas. The offensive line was being able to pick up blitzes was working together. And did a really good job. There was not a lot of pressure on Zack, the entire night. And I think that also tells me that I think there was just more effort, more critical thinking, more focus put in by a and M into that game. And I also think it helps they were at home. I think they've been preparing for it for a long time. I think Jimbo knows how to coach in some of those big games. And I actually think I trust zimbo more and some of the biggest games than some of the ones that he's probably supposed to win. And you know, so when you really look at it, you want to give a and M a lot of credit, but I think it was also shocking how they were able to turn it so drastically in a week. Well, I've sat with you countless weeks and you've talked about I remember a couple weeks ago a game that they lost and before the game, you said, I think Jimbo will do. And of course I'm an apology down the road. It's a it didn't happen, but it did happen this time because he is that good. Conversely, let me ask you about Alabama. You didn't come off of many losses in your career in college and neither has Alabama. They usually come back really well. They will. I think I don't think it really changes much for college football. I really don't. I think it changes a lot for a and M, I think Alabama still besides these guys, I think Alabama still the best team if not the second best team in college football behind Georgia. I mean, you're going to tell me that teams in front of them. Iowa Cincinnati or Oklahoma is better than Alabama. We all know if they played on a neutral field. They're just not going to beat them. And they're not as good. And I think Alabama will show up. They have too many playmakers. It was a perfect storm at a hostile environment where most of the plays went a and M's way. And everything went against Bama. And I also think they just showed up and kind of thought you know what? They say an empty just got killed by Mississippi they're not that good. And that affects especially 18 to 22 year olds. It absolutely can change the things. I mean, you know, I know in my own career when we didn't show up with the same focus, but then you would go to a Death Valley and you knew, hey, we got to be prepared. And it's different. And so I think for Alabama, you're going to see, I think they awoke a sleeping giant. Tim Tebow, we appreciate, as always, you're coming by on Friday. Thanks so much, Dan. Of course, Betty. Great conversation. We are back. We're live. It's a year of university of Georgia. You are listening to the Paul finebaum show podcast. We welcome you back. We're live in Athens on an absolutely gorgeous Friday afternoon homecoming here. At UGA,.

"Lane. Jeff levy designed an amazing system. I think it's probably the best defensive system in college football and they play so fast. Every every defense is playing on their heels. Because you can't disguise they go so fast you have to get lined up and be ready to go. So he's already ahead of the sticks that way. And then his comfort level in this offense of going through all the highs and lows he seen every check he's seen every blitz he seen every drop he seen every disguise right so matt has so much experience. He's he's struggled against arkansas. When they drop date he seemed team. Let's everybody so. I think knowing all of that makes him be able to play even faster. That's why i think he's probably the favorite for the heisman right now. Talking to Tim tebow here. Let's go to a couple of games because there's some great ones arkansas heads to georgia and we all we know the arkansas story. Very very well georgia. Some people are saying hold on a second. We know how aletha defenses but they beat clemson. Yeah but since then they play doesn't necessarily mean as much now So how do i mean obviously tomorrow will tell a lot but what what do we think we know about georgia right now. I think they got one of the top front. Seven's a defensive line. Their linebackers thing has a chance to be one of their best ever. that's how good they are their secondary. I still think we gotta figure out a little bit. And then their offense. I think there's still a lot of question marks. Who what is their identity on offense right. Who's gonna be that goto playmaker. I think they're trying to figure that out with their receivers with their tight ends the very talented but when they get to play a obama when they play florida and a few weeks you know what what is going to be their identity. I think you're seeing alabama florida find. There's ole miss arkansas finding. There's a little bit now georgia. What is that going to be. Because they're so talented and so well coached. But you have to have a go-to guy on offense. You have to have a go-to scheme. And i just don't know what that is not that they can't have one or they won't be successful. I still think they have so much talent that anybody can step up but i. I think we've seen that as a weakness for georgia over the years as they get into that big game and now all of a sudden that three yards in a cloud of dust as at work they don't necessarily have an identity to go to and i'm excited to see because i think what the defense are going up against is really good in arkansas. So it's gonna be fun defensive battle to watch talking to tim tebow here. We're live in tuscaloosa a game. I know you'll be watching. Florida goes to kentucky. I mean this is just. I don't know how to describe it to alaska florida graduate. How how does a florida people view this game. It's always annoying. It's always nerve racking and almost always wins. It's very true but that's been the same way since the early nineties when kentucky would almost always win almost always never last last-second shot even when i was in school in two thousand seven. The game came down to the wire the last three times. They've met there in kentucky. It's come down to the wire. And actually i think all three of those florida had come from behind at least seventeen in one thousand nine. I can't remember fifteen. But it's you know i don't think kentucky gets enough credit for that's a pretty intimidating pretty loud place. It's a good place they they've said a lot of people. I remember also in two thousand seven. Lsu won the national championship right. They lost double overtime to kentucky. It's not an easy place to play..

"Sustain those drives in a big game and then on the other side. There's a lot of question marks for an offense. Yes i know. They got some really good skill players in their backs. Their offense allies now what they were last year their quarterback that is not what kalamata was last year and so they gotta figure some things out. There's a lot of question marks in this game. And that's why i'm excited to see it. You know who's going to be able to fill those gaps targeted tim. Tebow here for a coupla. We'll circle back to where we began because these folks here continue to believe in in the south carolina gamecocks. Let's let's talk about doty for a second. Because he he was heard early on. We didn't see we haven't seen as much of him as a fans. Hope what do you see when you watch him play. I think someone that has a better deep ball than a lot of the experts gave credit for. I think he throws out well thinking miss a couple last week but i do think he throws it pretty well. I think he's very athletic. But i i want to see him when it's his team when it's his opportunity when he gets to play four quarters and big time. Sec football how do you handle that pressure. How do you handle that hype. I think he's he's got all the gifts. I think he has all the abilities that takes to be a successful. Sec quarterback now it's do you have the mindset. Can you handle the pressure. Can you handle the crowd. Can you handle your home. Crowds opposing crowds the big moments in. And i think that is the biggest question mark for him. I'm excited to see him. Because i think he brings something different to this offense than anybody. They've had in a long time. And i think he's got a little bit of stephen garcia and him a little bit. Connor shaw him you know. Stephen garcia was hype but connor. Shaw wasn't that high. But all connor shaw did was freaking out there and win over and over and over again and and that's why i to me whatever the ranked in high school i don't care you know. I played with five stars and i play with no stars. And it's what can you do now. Have you developed. And so when i look at him i see someone that can do. All of that now and the bright lights will he. Tim tebow giving folks reason to believe. And i'm very well. Thank you very much. Tim always enjoy seeing protocol. Tim tebow joining us. And i enjoyed that and you always one were yes. We did somehow took awhile guests. That answer would be right well. Tim let's Let's talk about this game for a second because these fans here they looked people like you. You give a lot of people around the world. Hope give them something to hopeful for. Well i think you know where i would start is i think is what their head coach. Shane beamer i think he's the guy that a lot of people really like and i think he had a really tough job. He had to rebuild a culture. He had to rebuild a locker room. I think yet average best talent. And he's got to recruit and then he's also got to get a buy in from his team and i think one thing that they're doing really well is. They're playing hard. Now they're they've been a little inconsistent at times but i think they've been pretty good and playing complementary football offense defense and special teams. I think one of the keys is being able to get luke. Doty back healthy and be able to use his athleticism. Because i think that could give you a chance in this game especially in the second half. You have an athletic quarterback that can gain first downs with his legs. Because without that. I don't see a great path to victory but with his athleticism kentucky so soft defensively and they really make you earn it. They don't give up the big plays south carolina chance of a lot of big plays against georgia. They missed several against kentucky. You're not going to get as many because scheme they play. So you really got to be very consistent and methodically. Move the ball down the field. We're talking to tim tebow. That's game is tomorrow night. I wanna talk to you about another game tomorrow night. And it used to be the premier game in the sec. Tennessee in florida and before we move ahead We last saw you.

Let's get back to the calls in turner is up next a hello turner. Good afternoon paul. Hey they're good afternoon near good afternoon. How're you doing today. I don't think i could be any better about seventy four degrees on beautiful college campus. And i've really got nothing to do here. But talk your callers. You get you like in colombia. I just called the local real estate office. I think i'm gonna buy a house here. We're about we're driving the aqua six right now data come to your show what you say. We'll must champs houses available. Yeah but i got a serious question for you with all with all the money with all the money that this university paid muslim should give me. The house means shoot lake. Murray's beautiful place. You should check it out. I've heard it's nice. So i'm on my way down there as soon as we get off the air but I just wanted to ask you a question about okay if you were beamer. Shane beamer. Okay the head coach or south carolina. I know what position would you focus on on the recruiting trail for next year. Whoo okay i'm gonna. I'm gonna pose this question to the knowledgeable south carolina fans what what are your biggest needs here in columbia the offensive line. Right okay yeah. From what i see. That's damn answer yeah. Well that's one reason why i lean. Lean heavily on the crowd. Because these are these are fans here. And i'm just i'm just interloper. What do you think i used from. What you've seen. I would agree. I think that's how you build a team. And it looks like the quarterback position here is in decent shape so too much over that all right. Well i like that answer. I thank you for that. Thank you very much for the call. appreciate it. Go cox go cox what annoys around this force. Let's continue now is up next. Hey now are there good afternoon. This is yeah this is neil georgia the In a big fan. I'm a big fan of yours. I've watched it. My brother went to tennessee. The tennessee fan huge georgia van. though what. i'm not understand. The is the importance of the arkansas game and georgia why that is a nin game versus a night game. Seems like you have a lot big audience Like the south carolina georgia game. Let me say this. Remember all the the next week happens to be. This week is not one of the vintage weekends in modernise. Sec history but next week is i'm thinking the games off the top of my head. You have alabama on this at three thirty. I know you have auburn shoe at nine and then that noon game. Interestingly is becoming. I don't like it myself and i know you don't based on your call but it's becoming a more coveted game. You're seeing fox. For example put its best big ten big twelve games at noon. The sec has normally not done this but it is surprisingly good window. Not as good as the night But there is there is less common. There's a little less competition. So you're so you also have you. You only have so many so many availabilities and for some reason next week was one of the one of those weeks where you had the late game. They're only they're only a handful of games at start as late as the auburn. Lsu game so. I don't think there were any other good slots and what other thing. I'm not sure anyone could turn out to be a mistake in the end if arkansas beats am that is going to be maybe the biggest game in the country. Next week it's going to be. It could be bigger than almost in alabama so We'll just have to see how it falls. But don't don't don't think that just because you're playing a noon that means anybody disrespecting you. Thanks for the call appreciate it. We're heading to a break when we come back. We'll start with our guest list here on the set to pretty good one including shane beamer. But coming up next. How are you guys and doing well. How about you doing very very well. I would like to ask you we. Just we just talking about tim. Tebow you saw the viral has put it other data ones. Put it out. Very viral video of tim tebow poorly trying to block. Oh i don't even know what that was sam. Do you expect him to be a part of the cuts by the jaguars tomorrow or is he going to make this team. Because urban meyer says he's gonna make it no matter what. yeah. I mean if he makes the team. It's now for football reasons. You know it's a commercial thing. It's the fact that tim tebow has one of the most crazy zealous in lunatic followings. If any player in the nfl you can think of. But he's clearly not tight end. I mean there's you say you know the viral video with one. There's like three or four different horrendous blocks as well as one crazy video that i tweeted where like somebody steals his target. He's sitting there in the whole waiting for a pass to be delivered. I think pave on austin jumps in front of it grabs the ball and pears off into the distance. Like this was not an encouraging debut. If you're tim tebow fan thinking that he can make it as a tight end do do you think. I don't believe tibo will actually make the team. But i do believe he has a chance to make the practice squad. Nba part of one of the guys. That can be caught up last minute without count against the rosser spot. And that's just what it is. Do you think that's a possibility or from what you've seen. No chance the possibility. I mean he is. He's a decent athlete. He's a big strong guy. He's clearly you know a talented athlete in terms of what he spent the last decade of his career doing and most importantly he has that connection where urban meyer like urban. Meyer wants to see this guy succeed. And it's ten tvos willing to spend his time on the practice squad and all that sort of financial implications of that brings with it just to try and make a football team and make make a career out of this at the the latter stages of his his time what he could do it. I think it's definitely a possibility. I think urban meyer would easily spend the practice squad spot on to make that happen it. Just it's a tough sell for the rest. I think of that locker room at this point now to give the guy active roster spot. No i'll guess monson from pro football focus. He's an nfl analyst and podcast host right here on the couple of fox sports radio. Let's talk about the rookie quarterback we got to see over the weekend. Who impressed you the most and wide. I thought zyppah wilson looks really good. He didn't play that much. We didn't see that many snaps from him compared to some of the other guys but he just made it..
Shannon Sharp: Kawhi Leonard Will Not Win a Championship for Clippers
"We have some big clippers news and even though there's no timetable set for his return we now know will be sticking around in la. Yesterday quiet agreed with the clippers to a four year deal. They player option. That is worth over. One hundred seventy six million according to ward so shannon will. He lead the clippers to championship. During this contrast this up look at it like this. Break it down like this. We do know that there's a likelihood that he's gonna miss some of the season this year. You're going to be some or is it going to be all. He missed fifteen games with thirty. Gave me say you know what guys. I'm gonna make sure totally healthy because this is what we know about learning history. He does not play hurt. So i'm gonna say this year. I'm gonna wash it up. He played on even though. I think there's a fifty fifty chance. He does play but he missed some games. You better hope. He doesn't play this year art. I wanted to play. I wouldn't i wouldn't play. It doesn't matter to me He we don't worry about we. Don't worry about the other squad but anyway so that's one year so he has two years left. Because the fourth option basically skip. That's an insurance policy. In case the need do give out on it. Because we know his history. He's had some issues over the last several years. That's called the time. I was gonna say they don't scale because i don't believe the nets. I don't believe we are walking out. Don't believe the lakers. I don't believe some of these other teams have some of the issues that they have now. When you signed when you have two guys on deals paul george and aqua leonard it becomes very difficult for you to fill out your roster with significant players basically. You're getting guys who mid level exceptions you guys taking the vet minimum.

"Tebow situation for instance. He earned that that opportunity from that head coach because of what he did for him in college because of the success he gave that coaching college. Because of the fact that he continued to keep up with his body and you know his his fitness has health the fact that he continued to play sports the fact that he continued to keep a high high level reputation. One that Demands attention and that people pay to see You can't take that away from tim. Tebow okay and that has value now. Is there some guy. Come out of college. Who plays tight end. Better than tim tebow. I'm sure there is but has that player put himself in a position to garner the attention. Obviously it doesn't seem like it. But here's the thing if that if you are extraordinary. Add something like unbelievably extraordinary and you deserve the opportunity. Nothing's really gonna stop you. In twenty twenty one from season that opportunity again there will be few cases where people who have super super super super talented as somehow didn't breakthrough but we're talking about in a time where you have internet social media cameras everywhere cell phones. Word of mouth spreads like wildfire. There's nothing that's holding people back from no about something Whether you choose to pursue grabbing the attention that is required you know putting out videos Being active on social media becoming a you know a Influence of some sort to garner attention amongst the peers. That need to know about you That's on you man. That's all you the first of all. You're judging the situation when tim tebow where you don't even know if he's made the team right. This just be a an old college coast. I want an opportunity like throwing a guy you know. Hey i know. I know you know. You ain't making the mets to professional teammate. Looks great which honestly he probably would've stayed. Domestic are so bad it's not bad the team's doing great but they had so many injuries and he probably got called up honestly so it's funny that the way i played out but This is just an old coat. A coach who has success an does a lot of success to a player. You know throwing him an opportunity And just kind of putting his name out there putting them on the radar who knows what it turns into. But it's like i. I don't know if it'd be a starting job but don't forget the other things that he brings a player. Fresh out of college doesn't bring the veteran leadership..

"Even pass the ball. Do actress fevers are come out and said like he was stereo down that he was throwing the ball when he went through the ball to you and so it's hard to know and like you need to know if the ball coming and so i think it'll be interesting and maybe a really good kinda humbling moment for tibo. Because i'm sure he doesn't think he did anything around in the nfl. I'm sure he just thought oh wasn't for me at the time but i'm curious to see him on the receiving end of the passes to see how exactly his thought process from twenty twelve and prior worked out because yeah watching his tape watching his reels and everything was gave me second hand embarrassment normal and it was shocking that the man ever earned the heisman general or a first run. Nfl draft pick. and so. i'm curious to see if he is better and like what if he would've switched to ten years ago when we know tibo now is we do now or would she still be in the game. Would he be george kittle. Ten years later nobody knows. And so maybe this is a good moment to kind of be and it's also great because it kinda shows how the game is changing. This is a whole new league that ten people have not played and yet like a whole new workout method. Diet plan everything. These guys are huge. Not saying pin can't handle it but they're going to eat him alive out there and it's cool because it's like. Hey maybe you can come out of retirement successful. nfl 'cause that'd be cool nfl as along with the mlb like there's some of the most traditionalist leagues out there. That will not change a single thing but finally we're starting to these little things that are happening that makes us think well maybe innovation is going the right direction and not just for the league itself but for the fans and for the economy. I mean big about the ticket sales in jersey sales and everything. That's going to skyrocket. I mean on that note like the jaguars are obviously one of the main teams that are talking about relocation especially to london. Yup maybe the last ditch effort to say a. Maybe tibo can bring a lot of fancy jacksonville. We can keep them here right. I see it going one of two ways one. I think tim tebow is a very smart guy obviously for him to still be relevant this long without having a successful sports career like in the game of sports. She hasn't been successful so i see him either. One you would hope he figured out how to block and catch and all that because he didn't figure that out with the jets but that won't give them the bennett for the dow. Because i was nine years ago at this point so either. He hired some incredible trainers and figured out how to do. It makes talking tonio gates or someone like that while gronk was down in tampa celebrate. Maybe they're working out together. Who knows so. I would hope he either really worked on his game and knows what he's getting himself into or he gets into train a gab figures out he can't and either takes on another role or just goes back the retirement life where he's creating content it. We talk about a business a lot like creating raving fans. Tim was raving fans. Like we talked about. You'll see many. Many jaguars tim tebow fans if he makes the team regardless of if you're jaguar's fan or not just he. You're a fan of depot. So either he realizes that or he takes a step back. And i'm not even gonna let you make the decision. I'm cutting ties with this. I'm going to go back to what i'm doing or maybe step into a mentor ship roles. So that's where. I see it going but again only time will tell it. Sure is an interesting topic and it really could be nothing. I mean i'm not saying it's nothing but if it weren't tim tebow it really is like just some thirty three year old signing a tight end deal and we'll see if he can make it or not but again the fact that it's m makes it something but it could be as little as hey. This isn't even a topic three months now because he's out and he never made a team and now he's back to what he's doing so there's a good chance of that but the there's a lot to be said all around from the matter of urban. Meyer tim tebow to loyalty. And connections and then also developing talent like at the the day the only way he's gonna no matter who he knows what connections Is gonna stay on. That field is if he's talented as tida no matter how much urban loves him. He's going to pull him off the field if he drops five passes it again. It's run over and lawrence sack three times because it's not like there's always so much you can protect that my god. I wanted it to be trevor lawrence. As night started goddess. Feel makes it. Tim tebow team not going to end. Well that's for sure. Yeah that's it. I mean we'll find out. But the sure is a lot of storylines jacksonville which is it. Typically thing they're usually not talked about they're usually just kinda coast in what the times. So again you bring a guy gerber myra and you give them free rein. He's going to create some that lines. That's what he's doing so we'll see how they all play out anything. You wanna add on this front or you on softball now. I think i said my piece. Oh yeah all right. Well thank you guys and wolf force one updated as we go but maybe not because maybe it won't be a story on three months from now All right thank you. Urban Meyer Envisions Utilizing Tim Tebow in Taysom Hill-Like Role
"Got tim t we got. We got number one. Pick in the draft playing quarterback. We got a team. That was one in fifteen a year ago. And now we're bringing it in ten tibo to run a taste him hill style package. Chris canty what do you think of that. I don't like it g. I gotta be honest with you. I mean we've seen him he'll be able to do a lot of things in the nfl. You can throw it can catch. We hadn't seen him to be able to do that at a high level at least not enough to warrant him being able to make a return after a six year absence from the sport so i just think it's a long shot in terms of being a contributor on the field with the jacksonville jaguars and if he's not going to be somebody that's a productive player. I don't think it's worth the distraction again. This is another one of those moves. This offseason got a lot of those guys in that. Jacksonville jaguars locker room looking at herbert. Meyer sideways i going out there and trying to sign. I will strength coach. Chris doyle to be your head or strength conditioning. After what happened with his tenure there and now with bringing it over i just. It's a move that reeks of privilege. And it's a move that could undermine the credibility of your head coach moving
Kansas City Chiefs Have Laid the Foundations for a Great Future
"Tell you the other team. I'm excited about because a complete overhaul. Their allied is at kansas city. Kansas city out was bold and released both of starting tackles from the previous super bowl. Which i think was not popular at the time. But they continue to show that they had a plan and they went out and they were aggressive in free agency You know they got the deal. Done for orlando brown. The added a tiny All of a sudden you got joe. Tony orlando brown at end. They drafted humphries in all of a set. You sign kyle. All of a sudden. Trey smith who many people thought was going to be a first a second round fail to you in the sixth round because of medical. And you start to look at the competition now and there's gonna be a very competitive in rooms with a lot of talent. Their own iram intriguing and the factor with all that talent. All that competition in ally room is that they got one helluva coach. Andy acts that. It has a tremendous track record development. Getting the most out of off its alignment
Nagy benches Justin Field for Andy Dalton
"And another team and their actions. That aren't making a whole lot of sense now. Are the chicago bears and head coach matt nagy because this week matt nagy came out and obviously he's in a win or else win or lose your job type of situation in chicago but nagy came out and essentially committed to andy dalton as a starting quarterback this week which is just bonkers especially when in the nfl draft. You traded a future first round. Pick to go up and take justin fields out of ohio state number eleven overall justin field as your future. Even if matt nagy and gm ryan pace. Aren't there certainly hoping that justin fields shows enough. This year this season not just to save their jobs but to position the bears to go back to the again and maybe win a playoff game and show that there can be some promise with this quarterback in that franchise and i think the justin fields has that ability. I think that when you watch him he can make all the throws. He's won a lot of games at ohio state. He's not your typical state quarterback he committed to penn state transferred to d- committed to penn state rather went to georgia faced a lot of adversity in georgia overcame at ohio state. One big games has all the arm strength. has all the accuracy can throw on. The run is mobile. And you're gonna put him on the bench holding a clipboard behind. Andy dalton
Is Urban Meyer Taking a Gamble With Tebow?
"The biggest story in the nfl right now. is tim. Tebow and the jacksonville. Jaguars on friday afternoon. The jaguars sign boat to a one year. Nine hundred fifty thousand dollar minimum deal as a tight end. His jersey makes up the top five selling items on the nfl shop dot com store. Now figure that out and to me urban meyer's really running the risk of losing his locker room here because if you talk to people inside the league if you talk to executives and other coaches there's a lot of genuine skepticism over urban meyer becoming. Nfl head coach generally. And there's a sense that it's four more likely that he flames out and never wins a playoff game than it is that he winds up winning a super bowl when this experiment bringing in tim tebow not necessarily even as a quarterback you have trevor lawrence. They're bringing tim tebow into that locker room in two thousand and twenty one and having him sing for his supper is a tight end. There's a belief that meyer runs the chance inside the league of losing his locker room before this season even begins
Jaguars Sign Tim Tebow to Play Tight End
SEC Distributes $23 Million to Each Member School to Offset COVID-19 Losses
"A statement. Not long afterwards saying i want to thank the jaguars for the opportunity to compete an earned the chance to be part of this team. I know it will be a challenge but it is a challenge i embrace. I am dedicated to taking the direction of our coaching staff and learning from my teammates. I appreciate everyone's support. Is i embark on this new journey. So the story coming out and we will be obviously talking about it this afternoon. We begin with mike dirocco. Who's been covering the story all day and then some for espn. Mike thank you very much. It's great to have you on. And i'm just gonna kick my feet up on the desk and listen to how the day begun in what has happened since then good afternoon. Thanks for having me Yeah i mean we had people on the field for the first time today signed this morning and out there wearing number eighty five and working out at tight end. Obviously this is just the offseason conditioning face to the off program next week. They start organized team activities on monday. That's what we'll kind of the whole team together throwing. Footballs and around getting a chance to see. What the former heisman trophy winner looks like it. Quarter at Tight end whether he's gonna be doing some blocking drills running around a chance to find the tibo tight end could've been well. Let's let's talk about What the club has said. And when will we hear next from urban. Meyer and tim tebow. Well i've been told the tvos probably not going to speak until training camp which would be the end of july At least publicly anyway and
Tim Tebow Officially Signs Contract With Jacksonville Jaguars
"Play the Minnesota Lynx Tip office. Five P.m.. Tim Tebow and coach Urban Meyer are together again. The former Florida and Heisman Trophy winning quarterback signed a one year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars and will attempt to revive his pro career as a tight end. Tebow is returning to the
Why Would Jaguars Sign Tim Tebow?
"We are back final hour. It's been a fun show. We appreciate you being here. A lot of conversation with my Mike smith earlier. We also talked to dennis dodd. Another conversation predictably has been tim. Tebow we've given you a lot of reaction on that in the mike cannon bom from espn former gm jets dolphins. He's been here a couple of times. He had this to say earlier today. On keyshawn jay will and zubin about understanding the signing. I don't like it. I just don't see the upside in this move. He's thirty four years old. He would be a backup. I just don't know of thirty four year old players that can come in and be back place special teams and you're taking away a roster spot from hopefully a young developmental player that could grow with a young nucleus obviously led by trevor lawrence. And to me this is probably through the lens of urban. Meyer saying a decade. And a half ago tim tiba was the most competitive guy i've ever been around and he can help set the culture. If i was in that building what i would be pushing back saying coach. That may be true but in the nfl as you well know. Players needs to be led by players. They believed can take them to where they wanna go and as a backup tight end. I just don't think tim tebow would have that same credibility as he wants dave when he was the starting quarterback in florida. He also questioned whether tibo could even makes a team. I just don't see how he makes the team or urban and he's a really good coach he he's been historically great college but i just don't know he has to earn a spot and he's given a spot. That's gonna cause a big problem because players weren't have a chance to win and again to me just putting on my lens of a general manager and roster construction if you're not a starter in the nfl with only forty six players dressing you have to play special teams so my question. is tim. tibor thirty four years old going to cover cover kicks that remains to be seen. Now if he doesn't earn it does a totally different discussion. But i don't think you could sign him and say hey. He definitely has a spot on this team.
Jacksonville Jaguars Expected to Sign Tim Tebow as TE
"This is austin lane. He's a former. Nfl tight end the host of action. Sports jacks on. Espn radio he was joining. He was joining freddie and fitzsimmons about whether tibo is going to be jacksonville simply for his leadership. The whole narrative that tim tibo coming to jacksonville. Be an urban meyer guy and helping that locker room presence. i think it's baloney. I'm not buying into that narrative because what what guys look for in terms of leadership and guys buy into his guys that have had except you know leaders guys that you can say this guy the baller. I gotta follow him and watch. How does now. I've talked to many times. Tim is a fantastic guy. But i think the whole narrative of you're going to bring him in because he's a great locker room guys all right. Great there's there's tons of great locker got. There's tons of great teammates just like any locker. Rooms made up of all types of people. So i'm not buying that austin lane also talked about. What exactly will tibo be doing assuming. He makes the team the whole narrative. That tim tebow coming to jackson i understand that he knows urban meyer. They have a great relationship. I guess you know. Urban meyer bought a house. experts week. Sent tibo so even if he makes the team. That's going to be great e hollywood. Tv show Urban meyer tim hero next door. It's gonna be fantastic. It's gonna do all the rating. But i do think this. This is urban meyer first year and then i saw and you know he's bringing his guys in. I understand all that. But what earn myers gotta realize. Real quick is that. You can't take anything if tim people is going to make. This team is because tim tebow has earned a spot. There are no you know there is no. I like this guy lot. Let's give him a spot. That doesn't work like that players not locking them. We'll see through that day one so two hundred two things are going to happen either. Tim tebow is not the tight end which we don't think he is and i'll be honest. I'm kind of in that boat or tim. Tebow is a tight end. And he earns his spot and he gets that roster spot and that's it was not good enough during the roster spot. He's not gonna get it. Because of urban meyer gives him that spot. He's gonna lose that locker room in a heartbeat.
Jacksonville Jaguars Expected to Sign Tim Tebow as Tight End
"And football. The big story coming out in the last hour, the Jacksonville Jaguars reportedly planning to sign Tim Tebow as a tight and reuniting him with his college head coach, Urban Meyer that was first reported by NFL network's in Rapid port. And Tom Palace era, The deal could become official in the next week. Tebow last played in an NFL game in 2000 and 12
Urban Meyer Really Believes Tim Tebow Can Help Jacksonville
"Believes Tim Tebow could make the team Give me one thought on Tim Tebow. Why? I mean, I The only reason that this is happening is because every Mars the head coach of the Jacks with Jaguars in urban Meyer was not to the National Football League. Tim Tebow would not be entertaining anything like this, so if he wants have a chance to play a new position. Play for a man that if he could adopt him, Tebow, he would when it comes to urban Meyer, but that's my one thought. Why Tim Tebow? Why?
"tim tebow" Discussed on 5 Questions with Dan Schawbel
"I'm your host. Dan shah bell in fewer than ten minutes. My goal is to extract a basset in the world's smartest in most interesting people. I ask them questions. Mike s today is professional athlete. An author tim tebow. Tim is a two time national champion first round. Nfl draft pick and heisman trophy winner after playing for the denver broncos new york jets philadelphia eagles in new england patriots who decided to pursue a career with the new york mets as a left fielder designated hitter sports aside. Tim has a passion for bringing faith. Hope and love to children everywhere with both his foundation and children's book bronco in france which we discussed in this podcast episode. Welcome to five questions tampa. Oh absolutely thank you so much for having me. I appreciate you making time as someone who is known for being outspoken in their christian faith how does religion play a role in how you lead on and off the field. Think it is that guiding light enforce in my life that help change every decision. It's more of like the lens that i look through the vantage point the perspective. There's so many times that you know in our society where we'll say. Hey you know. The most important thing is money fame and power and i think the that i tried to see through is a biblical form of lens. A jesus form of linz where he saw people he saw he saw carrying me sell helping helping the poor helping the hertie helping the needy and we get so caught up this battle between those every day and i really wanna look through the lens of people loving people every day and that's really a transformational piece for me. Is that lens on which you try to see the world and you try to see your goals and how you want to accomplish them. And so i think that's maybe one of the easier ways that i could explain it to sort of like your compass helps you make decisions as part of your decision making absolutely and your lens in the world and i think that's that's really valuable especially at a time when it's easy like you were saying it's easy to get pushing all these different directions. We're very polarized political social world. But it's you know it's good to have that type of direction to and not. Many athletes have successfully transition between sports. Like you had. What do you hope to accomplish your baseball career that you weren't able to do in football if something that i want to accomplish that it wasn't able to accomplish in football. I think it's to be able to live out a dream to live out those passions that i have into the to love what i do every day if it ended right now out of already been able to live out another drink. That's exciting and that's meaningful to me. It's not just about what other people put as goals for you or what you should want to do or would you should want accomplished. Listen i have goals. I would love to get the big lead. If i do or don't get there. It's not a success or failure. I think success is living out your passion to the fullest every day if you're able to get cherries on top that's awesome as well. It's about the journey and not the end result. If you're not enjoying the journey what's the whole point of spending years and years and years trying to achieve something if you're miserable the entire time and i think that kind of connects to faith as well and what you do because you're not actually really loving what you do right if you're just looking at the result if you're just looking at that one day if i hit this then everything is going to be great. That's not loving journey. That's not being fulfilled in what you're doing. That's not finding necessarily mesnier significance. It saying if i hit this measurement. Then everything's gonna be fine. And i think that's unfortunately how a lot of times we live in society is the man if i get this promotion if i fancy car if i get this house if i get this race then everything is going to work. And that's also so many times while we see so many people that fine what the world says its success and then they get it and they're like oh shoot. This isn't what. I thought it was going to be right. I don't want to live a life based on one day if i get this then. I'll be fulfilled no unfulfilled every day. When i get to live out my purpose my passion my meeting and helped people. I come in contact with and be able to make a difference because life for me is not about one day. It's about this day. We talked about purpose or calling in the future as like a a one day thing. But i believe it's a day thing we don't know how many as we have but on this say i'm gonna choose to live with purpose with passionate and with meeting in everything i get to do. What matters on this day is that i do everything i can with bit that i love with all my heart in that. Have meaning in this. Say it's so powerful and inspirational because a lot of people all in the footsteps of others or get swayed to go into different pass and they lose track of who. They are what they actually want to do. And a lot of people live in the future. And i'm guilty of this. My twenty live in the future instead of the present and they don't really get to enjoy the presence so that's really good one of the passion projects in something that you've lived and worked really hard for this new children's book. It's come out of the time when children are witnessing a historic pandemic. That's left many learning at home in isolation to give children and their parents hope for a brighter future. Well i really wanted to write this children's book. It had been on hard for while. There's so many voices that are calling out to our young people. There's so many things pulling them in so many different ways than i remember when my parents would read children's book to me at night how it meant hell made me feel. Some of them were really entertaining. Stories than some of them had really good truth. I wanted to try to make one that had boat. That was entertaining and fun stories of animals but then also had little truth now gets in there and hopefully. That's something that we were able to accomplish because when a child has bronco infringe read to them. Hopefully they're entertained with the story. The story of all these animals working together to try to get to this grand party and that every single one of them has a puzzle piece that plays into the grand puzzle. And i really believe that's true in life that we all have a puzzle piece in the grand peace and that means we all have worth and we all have value and we all have a part to play in the grand giant puzzle. I also love that in the story. They find their puzzle by helping one. Another binary and i really believe. That's true in life that a lot of times we find our purpose by helping other people find errors in helping them along the journey. And i love the celebration at the end when they all get to the the grand party and they all put their puzzle piece and broncos as the last one that finishes the puzzle. But you look at everybody. That's come together in its unity. People of all backgrounds shapes and sizes that are celebrating because every single boy or girl when they go to sleep to know that they're unique. They're one of one they're special and they are wonderful. I love that and especially because we need each other to survive where herd animals like. We doubt we're community and you know this to for being sports. It's the team. You can't just have one good player in everyone else. Slacks off the team football baseball. Whatever sport i wanna keep on your book is other powerful messages. One of the things is your dyslexic and the main character of your book. Bronco has a vision disability. How you manage your disability and what you recommend about children and adults who have special needs in the book. Not only bronco have some disabilities. All the different animals have disabilities along the way and i really believe that with our strengths. Our weaknesses are abilities or disabilities that we can use them. All i'm dyslexic. I think a little bit differently. I had to learn a little bit differently. But sometimes i feel like that would give me an advantage and sometimes give me a disadvantage but it doesn't mean that i'm dumber than it just means. I think a little bit differently. All of us have strengths and weaknesses and have abilities and disabilities so many times we want to put on this outward shell that there's no weaknesses in me. Well we all do. We all have strengths and weaknesses abilities and disabilities. But you bring to the table then we can actually help each other cope and grow with each other and learn with each other and make each other better because we share all of that rather than to keep it bottled up inside. That's such a good point and you bring up something really on kind of trend in how the culture is being shifted which is leader over the past year. Since i've been born is about drank and not showing weakness or vulnerability but now i think culture is changing. We're realizing hey like you're saying we're all different. We all have weaknesses not just strengths. And if you look hard enough sometimes the handicapped could be you have one leg or something more visible where other times people are suffering and other ways that you might not be privy to because it might not be readily visible and i think accepting other people and being vulnerable because hey especially during the past year everyone's in a different life circumstance in suffering in their own way. They might not be vocal about it. But when you are vocal about it people feel a sense of security and they can relate to you better so i. I think that that shift in what you're talking about.
Tim Tebow Retires From Baseball
"Tebow retired from baseball, thus ending the athletic career of one of the greatest mysteries in sports history. Tim Tebow was a historically great college football player. Stunk is an NFL quarterback, and he's stuck is a professional baseball player. And for some reason, usually smart, rational sports. People couldn't reconcile that. It's weird because this happens all the time. There's thousands of great college football cubes that just don't make it to the NFL. But people, not religious ones, to refuse to believe that about Tebow and the assumption when he wanted to play baseball that he'd just be in the majors in two seasons. People just refuse to believe he wasn't very good, even when he had 200 You just couldn't separate it, And it was bizarre. Look, he's a great person, and that should have always just been enough thistles. Damon event DeLara.
Emma Stone is downright mean in new trailer for 'Cruella'
"Today. Social media was buzzing because the trailer dropped for the new cruella. Deville live action. Movie starring emma stone. I'm sure i'll have to see it at some point but apparently people are really excited about it. Because i guess it's a good story and she's a great actress so we'll see
'Sex and the City' is coming back, but it's missing one key character
"Sex in the city will return seventeen years. After its last episode aired for what tencent ten episodes. I'm so excited about this. Your this is breaking news to me. It will star three of the four original leads. Sarah jessica parker cynthia. Nixon and kristin davis carrie miranda charlotte. We'll all be back. I'm not shocked that the other don't like control they i. I was shocked. When i got into this. Deep dive about kim cottrell and sarah jessica parker and their feud and i thought their on screen relationship had so much chemistry. I thought there's no way off air. Apparently it was tense onset. Like they'd film the scene and then partways access is good. That's good acting right there. Because i wouldn't feel fake. It sex in the city will return seventeen years after its last episode aired. Hbo max that's where it
Tim Tebow Will Play For Philippines In World Baseball Classic: Miami
"Tim TiVo to play for the Philippines in the world baseball classic TiVo's parents were missionaries there and the thirty two year old I was born there and then moved to Florida with his family at a very young age but because it's a Filipino birth certificate TiVo is eligible to play for the Philippines in the world baseball classic Tim Tebow the baseball players hit a home run this spring he is still trying to keep his fading dream alive to play in the big leagues last year didn't go well at triple A. Syracuse TiVo hit just one sixty three in seventy seven games now he's also trying to balance and juggle two careers not only is he right to make it a professional baseball but he also is an analyst for the SEC network so not all of the TiVo eggs or in the baseball basket and thank god because I don't think it one sixty three triple a he's gonna make it to the big leagues but I'm fine with them
Shannon on Brady says he's not wearing a blazer to the Super Bowl next year
"Tom Already did make it to super bowl. Fifty four but only on the field before kickoff as a member of the NFL one hundred all time team and yesterday Brady posted a picture picture to his instagram story. With a caption. That said I am not wearing a blazer to the super bowl and hexed years so eric where will on radio Tom Brady will be right in New England league. Really definitely. He's not he's not going anywhere. I mean I don't see Robert Kraft letting that happen. Think about this guy has played his whole career in New England his whole career. And you might say that Bill Belichick take wants to get rid of him or they. They don't see eye to eye whatever he does but but the but the owner. That football is Robert Kraft. Robert Kraft loves Tom. Brady and Tom Brady has done so much for for New England for the National Football League. I mean really. I mean you might hate the Patriots. I never like to pay. Even when they didn't have Tom Brady cheating. They were so but anyway He's done he's done so much I just don't see him. I don't go anywhere I really don't I can't I can't picture it. I see he bill belichick leaving before Tom Brady would need I. And that's that's what I would see because I feel like that you know he had a chance to keep Jimmy G.. Bill Belichick did not a chance that he didn't they didn't give him a chance to keep. They got rid of him. And I think that really like this that would have been my chance I I I. I had another dynasty but still the Patriots are a very good football team. This year. They had a great defense. People WanNa best defense. They had a special teams I'm the one that wants I. I got to say Tom Brady. COTTAM S man. I mean big. I mean it's the truth. He got to play play football but he still plays at a high level. They're in a division that they should win. It's not a tough division. They win that division. So they'll be what they were twelve and four this year. They probably two for next year. Eleven and five thirteen thirteen three or something like that so. I don't see Tom Brady going anywhere I I don't see that. I don't believe he plays in New England skip I I don't I can't definitively pinpointed. Plays that. He'll go but I think in order for him he has to go to a place that gives him the best opportunity when the Super Bowl. It's just not about getting out of New England to show you know I I just needed. A change of scenery is about winning Super Bowl. He has to win one coach Belichick First Super Bowl and win. Who is the winner is a simple and ask ask if this was a race between bill belichick and Tom Brady because the days that we're in the same we're having the same discussion? And you have the discussion two or three times next year. WHO's most responsible for the success and so say race the first one to super bowl fifty five to sixty is the winner? And that's what he's GonNa come down to now can he goes. I mean he's looking at it okay. Who has a good outfit? Who has good offensive line? Because he's not mobile like these young quarterback that's up and coming who has never was ause right right early more now that you've got to be forty three that's true who have offensive line wide receivers and a defense so Adams give honestly. I don't see a Peyton. Manning situation paid many got the perfect storm you had. You had a young dicker. You had Julius Thomas No Sean Marino Title Office of line the Wind Got Vasquez from San Diego. You sit and then you bring in a key to leap remember the Denver team albeit with Tim Tebow they had one they won the division. All of a sudden you get to step into a team that won the division in a playoff game and I say okay here we go so now. We're looking at okay. People mentioned the raiders. Daddy make the play the chargers they didn't make the playoffs Chicago. They didn't make the playoff. So all the teams that you know that that sounds reasonable. They didn't make the playoffs. Now you may dimension on Monday. Maybe they said Okay Jimmy you got to go. We're GONNA take Tom Brady for two years. Because we believe at the quarterback position is that where we're that's where we're we're lacking yup. I believe we can get there okay. That would be an ideal situation. I don't see that happening but I just I just think there's been too much blood would bad blood between coach Belichick and talk now. I just give you know. They had the centennial team and coach. Belichick said it was great to just you know shoot. You'll be able to say it with Tom and talk football and they were all took a big picture with all the page format pages but Tom knows he knows you try to get rid of me while are you. Over
"tim tebow" Discussed on The Pat McAfee Show 2.0
"He's taking on another sport, professionally which by the way, I didn't know he was at one fifty one point bat in one fifty s interview. And he said a lot of people Tony should quit. Like, hey. What are we wasting our time here he continued to do it? He's just I'm a huge empty any ups. Go viral. Shout out for that perfectly. Time loves you moment. That's the most Tim Tibo thing of all time. He was just awesome. He was perfect. And he's got that body by Kito Kita Kita Kito guy that made you know, that may Lynn the fog must be doing the different Kito on us. Kedo must be a little better than Terry. Crews beats Terry crews is intermittent fasting day might be a lot different than what ten. He looked incredible though, and he can hit the fuck out of all as man, you really know where he didn't really know where it was going. No couple of times, but he's your swinging hard. I think he's going to get into the majors the majors this year. I hope so I do too was that I do why just a he's just the most likeable human vol timing shook every single person in the building hand multiple times on the way in in on the way out shook everybody's heading. I shook his hand like seven or eight times before he actually left is that right? Yeah. So you're a big fan of I loved him. Loves me to why. I mean that was part of it when we were doing the interview, I don't know the video come out of venture there were there were point in time where good four to five minutes. He was just locking eyes with time. Pastor was sitting directly in his vision, though, I believe in Tim t-boz and engaging guys gauging. Beard. I'm gonna love you for the rest of my life came in swinging off for Connor and digs beard because he much like me can't grow good beard. That's why it happened. Tim Tibo got great stubble. I assume Tim tebow could do at this point. I'm excited to see him getting a majors, very thankful. He was he was very motivational very motivational very real very Tim Tibo Shazia motivated. There we go. So I was just about to say we had an incredible lineup. The folks at CAA we paid for this line. Let's get crazy. Rosalie, quite a it was quite a budget. We put together guest list because we're off the beaten path we weren't radio every we've been radio row couple times foxy Gorman villain. I went down there for Buffalo Wild Wings. Had a great time. There is no fucking chance. I ever wanna be set up in. No, no, no, no better way to let the guest up front that. You're not like other people on radio row than and not be already. I think that's, but if you look around like, Dan, Patrick, not on radio rich Eisen nodding radio like everybody. That is anybody is not on radio row. And then when you go to radio row everybody that's at radio row is it's a big dick contest. Everybody's got little setups in your little tables. And everybody's very nice. But it's you're all doing the same thing there. It was just an interesting situation, very thankful. Buffalo Wild Wings. Got me in there. The lebatardshow did it right? The Dan lebatardshow. Did it right? I guess they're based out of Miami. And I was very happy to go on that show is a good. Time. I've heard nothing but good things it ceded my expectations. Very good people. They just had a camera there that was wired into their show when they were still in Miami at their home. Camera in radio. Yeah, they had a camera and radio producer sitting there. And then he put a headset on I couldn't seeming. I'm just staring at a camera in Atlanta to a entire staff and crew that's in Miami. So they're at radio row. Getting all the desks radio row while sleeping in their own beds at night that is the veteran the lebatardshow did it run producer there. That is chess. Exactly. Yeah. They had a producer there next to me. I'm assuming that's if like something goes wrong with me. They can carry the conversation or something like that. But it was that is what we try to do from here on out that is that is what we tried to. So maybe we go to Miami. Maybe. You were actually in warm weather locations..

"The biggest thing in my life. Oh, say faith. This comes from knowing. Outside of that. So I just know. How big the situation is not really going to define me. This. You know, what Christ says he thinks I am who I know that he says, I am so. Really like, I said at the end of the day doesn't really matter. What people think about me or how good they think I play or whatever, you know, doesn't really matter. So big. The big thing for me to my situation knowing that confidence. It's pretty interesting, isn't it? Well, now when you say, I wonder how the public react how NFL's gonna react or whatever. Whoever. Do you think that what he said there might be a problem for him? I think what he said there is wonderful. I do think when incredibly refreshing. Yeah. I wish more young people thought that way, but it may be detrimental to his NFL career Tim tebow. Tim tebow? Tim tebow was practically pushed out of the NFL because he kneeled apprai-. Okay. Yeah. So you're thinking that this guy might be a little bit too. You don't sell Budweiser. If you're a Christian a little bit too much of his faith on his sleeve there. No. I don't think it's too much and I don't either. But wonderful. I think I think is what he said. And what he did. And how he said it was spot on. Thank you for saying, it, I hope a lot of young people here. What he said it would not be welcomed in the NFL. He continues to talk like that. Wow. That would be a damn shame. If that becomes a some kind of a PR issue for him or whatever that they need to take a step back and look at that. Absolutely. If it happens all the Heat's that everybody got towards Tim tebow was a Christian and Brian prayed and wanted to stay a virgin until got married full just ridiculed him for that. Right. Well, I think his biggest problem was he just wasn't all that. Great. But it wasn't a great court. He was he was he was a great college quarterback. Yes. Yes. Yes. But I think he was a tremendous. He's a good athlete. Right. But but after that, it was just like, well, you know, but I hope that's not a problem for me. I I really don't I think that should they should actually make that they need to turn that into. An example, a shining example university should be incredibly proud of his sounds like he's got his priorities straight. Listen president. Donald Trump has rejected a short term legislative fix for the partial government shutdown declaring he will never ever back down. Trump rejected a suggestion to reopen. The government for several weeks while to go. She would continue with Democrats on his demand for five point seven billion for a wall along the us Mexico border. The president also edged further away from the idea of trying to declare a national emergency to circumvent congress kind of backing away from that right now. And he he was in New Orleans yesterday addressing the American farm bureau's federation one hundredth annual convention, the president blaming the Democrats for this ongoing shut down. They think if they can stop me from building the wall. That's good. This is the reason why they don't want the wall built because they all know it works on approved it numerous times. I mean, Chuck. Schumer had his hand up every time. This would come up. The Senate is now this they're only doing this because of the twenty twenty election because I said, I'll build the wall, and I'm going to build the wall. And it's only one of many things that I promise House Democrats passed a spending Bill to reopen the federal government, but Republican controlled Senate and White House say they won't allow it without the five billion dollars for the border wall. So here we go day twenty-five in this partial government shutdown in you have tremendous concern about these people are getting paid. I do I think it's starting to get out of hand a little bit. Now think enough is enough these people that have nothing to do with this this argument, this they can go apply for unemployment benefit that shouldn't have to. They shouldn't have needs to let that go. Let let the government shutdown continue to pursue border security or the wall, whatever you're going to do. But let these people off the hook eight fifteen check on traffic. Now, here's Melinda. We continue to see solid delays.
