Creating shareable content for your business.

"My guest today is Tim Staples he is the CEO of share ability and the CO author of the book. We're going to talk about today. Break through the annoys the nine rules to capture global attention. So Tim Welcome to show. I'm awesome you know. I guess the first thing. We'll definers What are you calling noise that we need to break through? This is the way I think about this book. Is that you know thirty years ago when you look at communicating a message most of the Megaphones of society. We're owned by big corporations so movie studios studios or television networks radio stations so if you wanted to become famous as an individual or if you wanted to get a message out as a brand it it was really difficult or really And so as a top of all of the Internet happened everything changed and and we effectively now have the smartphone. Basically have a movie studio in our pocket rights now everybody can break everybody broadcast to the world and so we live in kind. His aides were like trying to get youtube famous. People are broadcasting to their mother's basement but what it means is it two thousand nineteen. The good news is that everybody has a megaphone. The bad news is that everybody has a vagabond and shouting into all day long every day to the point that most people itunes to almost all of it out as talk about break aways. It's like how you crashed through the millions of messages commercials in people trying to come all his long. And actually get your your message heard in out in the audience and I think sometimes people here that like breaking through and crashing through and and all that means is like turn up the volume. Do something more viral you know. Forget about the fact that it has any value of the brand. You've just gotTa get noticed. I mean I'm I'm wondering wondering if we're coming over that too. Yeah we are. Yeah I always talk about yet rally in for you know. We've we've done a lot of big viral hits so that we can ask the Lasco make things viral which is a tough thing to be asked repeatedly but but I think we've kind of moved moved out of the age of reality in terms that we've moved into what I think is the age of share ability and that's about how sharable and and and specifically how are you worthy of a share yen and is there a formula for that I mean. Can you look look at something and say well. We've got to build this and then it's got to do this and then sky do that and that'll make people shared. I mean this is it that simple or is it the thing that we are talking about with a simple statement which is at nobody cares. Phases mindset of the default position. Where you're doing something you don't see the international air- right and and so I think basketball ball? My said is that okay. Now how do I actually create something that people are GonNa care about other things and concepts Insisted with a lot I take it you talk about but but the first one is simple. It's focused on value right. Like how do I think about okay. I WANNA reach this particular audience instead of focusing folksinger me in trying to protect it after. Then how do I think about it what they want and finding unique way to give it to them right which is a really simple concept but I think what most people miss is like. What is the audience wants? And how do I put that in my own unique voice that will be valuable. I I think a lot of the challenges because we're wired to think. How do I get them to buy our get him to like share and sometimes that runs counter to what it would be valuable to them he added? We do a lot with with a brass in her so hard wire. Yeah to sell sell sell purse like I feel like the last thirty years. Is that glad. Advertising approach programs in early beat fast and and try to rejected a message on the audience. That may not lie. And what we've seen. He is what he just start with value and I can be a lot of things ready to be education and the entertainment could be anti. You know there's a lot of ways in provides providing audience if you that percents give them ninety. I you completely change your relationship. If you try to sell their on their heels lean coming back. They're moving away from you if you get value out of the forward and you WANNA learn more about you as now so your relationship that you know you can actually Pity move toward the sale trying to start with US l.. I know in my own experience and I'm sure they're different. People like different things I I know that when when something like I'm expecting X.. And I get why a likes surprises me. I know those are the those are the things I remember the most and I'm probably more likely to tell somebody about is that is that one of the sort of formulaic aspects of you. Know How you get somebody to pay attention attention. Yes we allowed research on the science side like The human brain works as far as very consistent. United Asia's also across regions around the world. And we've identified These emotions that You know provoke people share and you're reunions right very emotional creatures and emotional piece of it is something completely lost in kind of the old school advertising. It hasn't it's like okay. How could it connect with something an feel something and I feel something then? I'll be part of that conversation appreciation Earn as actually five emotions that we've identified are all positive emotions that we found are the most effective at least Russ take people being forwarded share and so I walked through the first motion is is is happiness right and I think we live in a world right now. Everybody would agree that there's a lot of polarization at people are are split. Apart and there's a lot of negativity on the internet or leases feels that way and select giving people a small During their day even just a little smile or go to social media. Gone phone in a breakthrough meeting as really really really awful concept so the first principles happiness joy the seven principles we call saw is like a feeling of respect where he just. Aw Wow that's nothing I haven't seen before so it could be something that is. Is You know you you literally launching acting the moon that you haven't seen before or it could be accolate. This narrative acted and his nation's orange. Go Wow what a cool thing today. Did somebody completely unexpected kind of warm my heart and be my all the negociants call curiosity so this is all about learning things about the world that you didn't you hadn't seen before you didn't know and is allowed kind of educational content. It doesn't select where he can provide a lot of adding to the audience for the motion is empathy. Your sympathy is feeling bad with somebody but empathy is actually putting yourself in their shoes and having that shared connection Napkin do really really powerful And then the last motion surprised is basically giving something that they didn't expect in unique way And those are the five oceans. Plenty more down. Joe Like angers really a powerful emotion but probably doesn't hit most brands right or or status is powerful emotion but shuts down. You don't WanNa share and sad right because you made your friends at so their emotions but we find these. The most positive proactive ocean posit.

"Even something from vegan world did you grow and it's true the guard that was on that runs through you veggie grill that have been is that a chain you have to change out and it's kind of got good sort of vegan junk food like you can go in there and get your buffalo wings let's get your chicken sandwich you like fried chicken sandwich and it was that made out of it's not a I think I want to say it's all the same it's a town or something else like one of those of you know a press to kind of that cycle weeks sort of thing but you don't it tastes like chicken it's got the same consistency stricken and that some it sounds interesting mail other beyond a Lotta beyond meat stuff there they got talk grows I got some good stuff all it can really because they actually do have some great Jennifer anyway US so it's located right where where pup who's the hot dog place over there by Boston market I know where that's right yeah it's right by a Bob's Big Boy right yeah I know but as they used to have a great burger there what was the name of that I remember what it was but they used to have a really good hamburger there and the hot dog stand right next that market and the Jews place their boss the market now all right all right I I don't you saw this that you would be interested is because you're on a on a car guy five there's a cross country unofficial race you know people try to beat the record of driving from New York to the Pacific coast right I think it's New York LA and the record was twenty eight hours and change having twenty eight fifty and somebody beat it just the other day no kidding yeah twenty they beat by almost an hour what a driving the dry I think they're driving souped up BMW and I know what they call the cannonball run or they they just call it you know coast to coast but they did it in little over twenty seven hours they averaged a hundred miles an hour thank averaged a hundred miles an hour and a one point they're going a hundred ninety three miles an hour wow and the car if they have eighteen eighteen support cars with them and from state to state and that car is up up ahead of a fifty to a hundred miles you know going eighty ninety hundred ten miles an hour in that car gets pulled over by cops then they radio back you know that there's a copier cop there we know we've got a pen down right and only one time where they locked on radar in the cop decided not to pursue him he's doing a hundred and thirty five miles an hour at the time but they the top speed was one ninety three they did it straight through they didn't take a nap so they they you know the only stop for gas they put an extra gas the fuel tank in the back it took out the back seats the trunk but extra fuel tank in to save time and they didn't a little over twenty seven hours wow I mean that's imagine the adrenaline it's going through your body for twenty seven hours gets they must rotate drivers yeah they have three drivers run three guys and I they all rotate there probably you know whizzing in bottles and stuff you know sure sure but but that is you know somebody might try was in a bottle of a hundred ninety three miles but it's it's also I mean you've got a also time it out where you're not gonna hit a city in rush hour round you're not gonna go through you know Phoenix Arizona at four PM it has to be a super well planned thing absolutely yeah yeah it has to be extremely well planned and the beat by an hour is you know sensation in the satisfaction you feel if you got a cop chasing yeah that just stops wait even chase him you're going the opposite way an elaborate are on it they can tell they have eighteen radar devices on on the car and they can tell when a cop locks as radar audio and the cop going the other way lock the rate on I'm going hundred thirty five but the guy was in the end of his shift you want to turn around and you know some cops do that by these guys so these other guys they they basically sacrificing themselves they're getting pulled over the guys the idea yeah some guys do yeah and they and they all paid pitch in and pay for that the more they talk to the car I would think if you talk to the cops to be kind understanding most of these cops are a lot of them are gear head channeled into cars yeah it's they called the cannonball run they still called the other here yeah and it's it's literally I'm you know and and a ton of people try it look it's it's ultimately it a really unsafe thing to do so that movie was true yeah it was said to have been true start identically see that will be one of seven yeah my dad my dad was in that movie about that was he really well he's in the in the cannonball run I think number two and but it's just a little bit on a walk on you know of course but they were there that was what made that movie all these cameos from stars that's right of fun but yeah they broke the coast to coast record and it you know it's it's an amazing feat because I don't think it'll be broken again I think you know I think people realize twenty seven hours in twenty five minutes it's just too much I tried it to try to clips that try to beat that in nineteen thirty three that trip was fifty three hours there with the bill the guy I who were set that record in nineteen thirty three was fifty three hours and so they cut that by more than half it was said Mercedes I'm sorry the Mercedes AMG E. six three sedan and it drove from sea to shining sea in twenty seven hours and twenty five minutes which cities did they did they leave and end up in they went they I think they start in Brooklyn and I believe they ended up in Hermosa beach Manhattan Beach Redondo Beach area but it says they average a hundred miles an hour ultimately reached the coast and they went as fast as a hundred ninety three miles an hour and the picture of the G. P. S. at the end of the video reveals you have maximum seer speed of a hundred ninety three miles an hour any says they the you know they they are they said they don't put anybody's life in danger which I don't know I mean that's a I guess a judgment call right has gone by your hundred ninety three miles an hour right exactly you know he pops a tire and all the sudden you're doing cartwheels with them but barring something like that I get from service from Tampa caution yeah to Clermont and I left at ten AM on Thursday and pulled into my driveway at two AM Saturday morning where we started from where Tampa Tampa Florida yes I was on the west coast of Florida so it's not a full coast I get it star on camp at ten o'clock AM on a Thursday Meinhold into Claremont at two AM Saturday morning wow that's pretty impressive yeah over the summer at eleven AM I left Burbank and I got the del March six via seven hours ago to del Mar in affect cell I mean these guys went across the country in a little over a day that's crazy I mean if they left it at six PM in New York on a Saturday each day we get to Redondo Beach by nine PM sh the next day but it's really it is all of the planning as we said it has to be yeah I mean that you got a plan this out it's gonna be very expensive to do and and it's you know it's one of those things where you know again it may never happen again I mean they took that AMG sedan and they it's seven hundred horsepower show was as fast as my hell cat what I had but then they put on upgraded turbo down pipes an inter cooled version intakes and special breaks suspension I'm just reading about all this stuff and it's all going to be expensive right oh my god yeah but I'm sure sponsors right I yeah I'm sure you do well I don't know I mean I I you you probably do but you're right about them not making a deal with the cops to reserve built in net radar detector windshield mount escort match three sixty radar detector on top of that yeah and a L. priority laser jammer system and an aircraft collision avoidance system wow that's that last bit is stuff that's usually in airplanes to help avoid hitting on airplanes it's got to be expensive right right yeah we just have that kind of radar equipment on board but the reason why I don't think they have sponsors it's like folks wagon when want to sponsor that because first of all is breaking the law the entire time right there's never time were you going thirty five miles an hour in a school zone right but also if anybody who ever got hit and killed my boat Volkswagen would not want to be on you know on the TV saying well Volkswagen sponsored cannonball run by end in tragedy when it hit a school bus outside of Kansas city here's the footage yeah you're right yeah and I bet you anything that they covered up the logo of that cars so wouldn't even be evident that it was a Mercedes I think you're right okay but they waited everything out on the card from the looks of the picture I'm looking at they ran way is by the way they were using way is that right if you were the cop for yeah and and to see I guess traffic but cops as well and to document it because it had to be documented in to be considered a record I had to Garmin GPS units and day and these GoPro's going the whole time right and they and they're gonna wait for a year to put out any footage of it because the cops can still bust them for it for the next three hundred and sixty five days a year they can put out the fire that's well to know that it's pretty cool I went to enforce the selected on ways probably our very own Amy kidding yeah but she's got to be talking fast your mac I think my life economic right here I made a slowdown Florida you know where it says how fast you're going now you know you're over the speed limit and the entire time they're going a hundred plus miles an hour sh gun ball rally yeah gumball rally I sort of think dog six did that my favorite movie of that it was the it beyond the wild wild wild wild west was not the movie of where mad mad mad mad mad mad world that was the that was right and you're right Campbell rally was that the version of the by the man I'm not mad world but it went out on four wheels yeah that was great I realize that the one that my dad took me get gumball rally with the one that I had there was a lot of the water I'm Monica ranks from VK if I twenty four hour news your mobile the will reopen tomorrow following the death of the man who is trying to help find a missing hiker Tim staples was killed a week and a half ago to fall he'll be remembered as ceremony Saturday and abundant living church in Rancho Cucamonga say it is moving fast as he delivers.

"Our very special yearly live Christmas Eve special I said special twice because it's that special we get to talk about the things that matter in life and the after life the reason for the season all that good stuff be bold and brave go to your phone with your theology question dealing with god religion spirituality world views or if you're going through something please call with your life situation the number to call tonight is eight hundred five two zero one KFI that's eight hundred five two zero one KFI losing a Pat is very painful and you know Michelle was obviously in a and a lot of pain and we have limited time unfortunately to talk on the program about such things and I would ask that those of you who are little prayer warriors will send where is her way of comfort and strength the homework that I gave her is to help work through her morning the emotions that cat balled up sometimes become knots we don't want them to that should be a fluid part of transition win one point to another and that's what I want from her is to grow through this and that doesn't mean to turn it off and throw things away right away but to pick a few things that are wonderful memories and to be the curator of the life of of people that have come and gone it's a very very powerful thing and that's that's but for those of you who are curious that's why I say to go to down that path because it's a very healthy way to to really look at the things you enjoyed in yes they those things will be gone but I'm also concerned that someone who will put himself in a in a place of loneliness to be set up aside and to not interact with people and I would really encourage that Michelle goes out and does that mean find a local church or maybe hobbies that you might have to connect with others I think that's gonna be imperative Bonnie welcome to the Jesus Christ show Hey well I think well as you say two three here are the reason for the season that's what they tell me I I would like to say that I am happy to hear that your producer Neil is recovering well from his surgery thank you and you know what he felt every single one of those prayers I tell you the whole process for him it's been amazing so thank you for that I'm so glad that it worked out well and haven't heard anything more for a while and have been wondering folks so glad to hear that the reason I called this evening was I had a question for a long time and on Sunday mornings we're getting ready for church so as we are tonight we're on our way to our candlelight Christmas Eve service center how wonderful that and but I'm how do you feel about the right to die this is a tough one there's a lot of things that tie into it and usually people end up going to the medical and saying well if somebody is going to die their terminal then that would be one situation than others feel well if you're mostly in a state where you feel like you've lost all hope the should be have the option there so depends from where you come in one sense to kind of build the intellectual argument for understanding but in the spiritual sense there's no place for spiritually there is they're all pain has a purpose all joy has a purpose and that there is a time when god takes you and that is when god takes you and there's a confusion between saving a life or prolonging death you know some people say oh well we're keeping them alive with yellow the tubes and this and that and really yeah along a death right and the branch yeah that's different if you're in that state then there then you are dying and they are interfering with you dying naturally but if you are the flip side of that want to die sooner then god has chosen that is not okay either so it's a really really bad understanding the circumstance but people that are in they cannot feed themselves or any of those things at that point there there's a lot going on there that people wanna hold on with hope and hope is wonderful absolutely but if you're pro longing someone's death that is not an okay thing there is nothing in scripture that says that is okay you know there are times where people came to me in scripture and said Hey you know on this person just died I want to follow you but I need to bury them and I said the berry the the dead will bury their own and it would confuse people but the reality is that that death is certain for everyone and that these things will take place but they will take place in the proper time you start messing around with things and I'm not talking about surgery I'm not talking about legitimate tools in the health trade to clean to save a life that's a good thing to prolong a death is not or to hasten death is not so that's what it comes down to are you hastening the death or are you prolonging a death both of those are bad hi I just have a problem with at the end of your life and there is no hope for recovery to diminish the resources you have and and you're you're going to the way why why is it not okay for me to take a couple of pills and say I will meet my lord a little sooner than he had planned well because god is the giver of the gift of life and to treat it as if it's only yours and doesn't belong to god is where we step out of balance in life and in death we do that in life we train side step god's will and we can do that in death if we try and side stepped god's will every ounce of life that you have is god prescribed and for whatever you will learn and understand in that process you may not know now and you will only know when the transition and for whatever reason that is god's plan in the way he designed it and trying out thank him is his hubris at the very minimum and countering god's will in reality it was the I'm Layla Mohammed live from the KFI twenty four "To the Jesus pressure yeah to help you hello hi there on thank you yes yes okay this is where you ask me a question it took a Trinity uhhuh yes the triad is not the end of the day it's not the triad Trinity's fine well it's Christianity yes yes and yeah the triad the Trinity is based on three individuals the holy well god it does he have any the the holy ghost father the father yes the father has many names but look to find what its name and the sun has name hello here Holy Spirit has no name no the Holy Spirit has no no the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit actually has many names and this is something that Cup well I will tell you as a matter of fact Sabrina you have a multitude of names that deal with the Holy Spirit one would be the comforter one is simply the spirit one is good spirit in Galatians five Corinthians twelve the eternal spirit spirit John fourteen in Hebrews nine also the same he's also referred to as the lord in second Corinthians three and also referred to as the helper many different things when it comes to the V. eight we're gonna get into the Trinity here not that that was my my focus but the that when it comes to the names of god there are they are more like descriptors although some might say that your way is the name of god but there are many descriptors and so they describe I would be different because the nature of taking on my human ness under the circumstances and it looks like this might tie into that very thing Ben welcome to the Jesus Christ show thank you I want to know what are the name Judas cope well okay so in scripture obviously a yes sure would be my name in Hebrew so at my fellow Jews would route would have referred to me as yes you will have must Shia and this is referring to me as the messiah so you're sure is there it's where you get the modern name Josh what so yeah but you go you go from your trusted users okay so what ends up happening is there are other Josh was in scripture so to clarify they use a Greek version which brings brings it to Jesus so that it stands out in scripture and people can understand who's who way who you're talking to so any other Josh was are translated as Josh what and mine has been modified through the different languages to come with E. sis Jesus which is where you get that because there is no there is no J. at Heathrow there is no so like even the term Jehovah is some is a misrepresentation of the Hebrew because there is no Jack so it doesn't come off that way in the actual actual text so that ties into that so I have a a name where as when it comes to god god the father that could be a way but also at looking at the night and though he knew all of these are options for the father the term lord is used for all three of got had keeping in mind it's three who's one what I know it gets confusing but that's how it ties in to these things and people sometimes get caught up in that and think that well eat eight you you want a specific name but god is not god is not you and part of the issues that people have with religion is they tend to make you know that that the old man with the white flowing beard and all that they tend to make god eight a just a bigger more powerful them you know if your man and you make god a man if you're a woman you make got a woman and that's not the case in unless you're talking about me specifically as Jesus yes I was a man when I was on earth but as deity I am I'm sexless I am not tied into that in any way shape or form or bound by those things because it's not important so a name is something that you use to recognize somebody across the room at the grocery store to call them to engage with them but with god it's really about the attributes of god that you're referring to the one who created the one who gives life the one who this the one who that that's what it comes down to in scripture it's not like a proper name where that's necessary live from the KFI twenty four hour news room not body will be re opening tomorrow for recreational activities following the death of a man who was trying to help find a missing hiker Tim staples was killed a week and a half ago in the fall he'll be remembered at a ceremony Saturday Russian president Vladimir Putin says Russia leads the world in hyper sonic weapons putting stress that for the first time in history Russia has an edge and designing a new class of weapons American Airlines has become the second U. "Because he totally ignored me last I know the first thing I was we have to put any king Anna and then and then somebody had the idea we should tell a making season it and then not put her in at just the continue the joke and I said that's heartless I have mine but then I think act for me because I realized that it was very hard that's heartless we're giving her a word you didn't know you do get to live deliver you goofed never mind you deliver the line how's that not all line but Vidal line is a line but it's that we don't know it's more than one okay well it's Friday this story got worse over the weekend to remember we told you about that hiker from Irvine who had been missing for six days out at mount Baldy well they had about a hundred and twenty six people out there searching on Saturday and we're talking just rugged snow covered terrain for this this missing hiker and unfortunately one of the search and rescue guys guy by the name of Tim staples just thirty two years old nine year veteran of the San Bernadino county sheriff's department volunteer search and rescue team got separated from his partner and fell down an ice shoot pronounced dead shortly after now this guy was not just a search and rescue volunteer he was also a soul stroll science and an English teacher for Damian high school of the Catholic boys school in la Verne a few hours from now as a matter of fact they are going to hold a prayer service this afternoon out at Damien's event center which is located there at the school in la Verne this search for Sir any of us mall cop party has been called off yeah now at least in the wake of Tim staples that will there's just no way that that person is alive I mean I don't think so you can look up at mount Baldy it looks like Everest right now is covered in snow I'm what I thought was an amazing event over the weekend was the the searcher who was who died Tim staples was honored by the family of the missing man that would be really hard to take you know the family already missing their loved one and then one of the search and rescue guys dies I mean that would be really tough on on Sunday night last night dozens of people gathered there in Tim staples memory some of them were crying this shop run mocha potty the missing hikers son said I'm very sorry for this in very sorry for the families went on to say that he never expected a search for his father would result in tragedy for one of the volunteers that we so dearly respects Michelle Walsh is one of the search and rescue volunteers and she said we don't want them to feel guilty for this this is what we do Tim stables was very passionate about his work as a volunteer on the search and rescue team and this was stuffy Bobby Asli did during his free time he was very popular at that school and they said that often he his face would be flushed when he came to work because he spent the weekends climbing these remote mountains in search of missing people they say he'd come in Monday with a red face and then they joke with them you went to the beach time and he would say no I was up in the mountains trying to find someone newly married please behind his son his parents his brother uncle nephew friend to so many they said he left a hole in our hearts that will never be felt yesterday and again the the the purser set for this afternoon for staples and Damien's event center at that's a Catholic school team in high school in la Verne some for information you can check all that out that's a that's a horrible way to end the search for this guy I mean not only do not find him but then you lose a searcher on the way and the the reality of it is like I'm there's a chance that guys never found I mean there's a chance that it it's just the weather becomes even more an operable over the next couple of weeks and covered with snow whatever and they just never find a all right we come back we're gonna be talking about this the bullet train the latest on going pee pee match between the president and the governor and so I'm not going to buy into the vernacular of calling it the bullet train I mean I know the LA times continues to call the bullet train but the bullet was taken out of this training years ago not gonna be a bullet train is gonna like trains I like high speed trains even better this is going to be a slow moving train knowledge all it which train you think would move faster the train that drives are that that rolls around Disneyland or this train from are said to Bakersfield is Disneyland strain probably right yeah okay I'd like the train that's carrying our pizza here to be the fastest yeah we're here is where we with that pizza I ordered it it's going to be here at noon but your stomach has done a grounding to have been here last our woods what's funny is I heard your stomach growl one time and then you ordered pizza and I've heard a growl four times pizza yeah like your body knows that there's something coming in yeah it's got a slow it down and get it ready and I'll write you have any needs yesterday I didn't have my bratwurst oh no now that's too bad I was too depressed a reminder that on Friday this we're talking about on Friday we are going to do our production of it's a wonderful life last year we did a Christmas Carol this year it's a wonderful life of course the story of George Bailey in him learning what life would be like if you were never born we have some what shall we say recognizable voices that will be involved in the production of the show we'll do it live here on Friday first little will be Amy kings gonna be ethnic assembly because everybody's going to be involved with that and some other suppose voices as well you can follow along at twelve thirty is likely when we're going to start that on Friday and take us up through the end of the show you know there are actually a couple of the the youth that turned down a role in our production which is interesting I yeah which part of it is the allies they don't realize that the gravity of the situation yeah the wait time it is big time and I mean Tim cades is so excited he said he's gonna be in character all day long which is which is great I just hope I mean look at Amy smiled with glee at being included this year am she was upset for months last year when he left her out no she was upset for an entire year until we told her that she was as she did speak to you for twenty nineteen no that's why I have my ways apps who who turned it off I mean who turned it down there and Monica yeah Monica rex yeah she said she won't be here on Friday and she didn't want to come in special wow if which is eight makes our job easier makes our job easier give the people really want it they're never going to be included that you're either in on the ground floor or you're not don't expect Jay asked again absolutely not of course it's a wonderful life is brought to you by our friends at Winston security screens Winston with a why coming back more on the not bullet train here in California Jerry and Shannon Amy came.

"News with Jennifer Jones Lee and me tributes coming in for a social science an English teacher who also was a search and rescue volunteer and who died as part of a massive search for a different guy that had gone missing hiking up there Tim staples was a teacher at Deming high school in la Verne he got separated from the search partner and they found him he was there was ice and snow up there and it was freezing and they found him gone hundred and twenty six people volunteered from eleven counties yeah people came from all over to try to find this guy Srinivasan mock Kapiti block party anyway I now he had already been missing for a week now Mr staples passes away as part of the rescue effort they suspended the search and rescue efforts so obviously the original guys done I can imagine and here they said that he really hadn't done anything wrong other than the got separated from his group that he was experienced hiker he was prepared for a day yeah like and yeah he just somehow got separated and you know so this isn't even one of those stories were somebody was doing something dumb and put all these first responders life in peril now this guy was probably thought he was doing everything right here's a guy who's let me add one more wrinkle to this story so Tim staples had just married another teacher at Damien highs long are yeah P. genie is scrambling to try and re negotiate a deal on the wildfires I've seen five governor Newsome said he'd that plan that you've got this bankruptcy court settlement a you've got well it doesn't comply with state law.

"App it is the dark secret place Ryan soups in here until eleven o'clock and some sad news to report at December to do you know of the of the search for a missing hiker which began on December eighth for us for any of us mocha padi a fifty two year old from Irvine who was described as experience backpacker in in that search today one of the volunteer searchers for San Bernadino county search and rescue outfit was found dead separated from his partner wall up looking on mount Baldy and as San Bernadino said in the tweets about three hours ago update mount Baldy search and rescue during today's search a SPS the search and rescue team member became separated from his partner and air search located the team member unresponsive on ice and snow a medic was lowered to the search and rescue member discovered him deceased cause and circumstances surrounding this incident are unknown all search operations for Mister marker padi are suspended search and rescue crews are being recalled well from the mountain and search operations are being re evaluated so that's it's basically a safety stand down because now you lost a searcher looking for someone who's been missing for now for six days so December eighth and so this is something I take very seriously because I've I've about by used to back country ski all the time always what with a partner in the whole thing and and because I know at having been one of the people who's out there looking for you I was an explorer in high school and my share of department would call us would drag us at a high school to go searching for your goofy **** if if you in a drunken haze so went up by yourself looking for a hot spring when the Olympic national park which happened all the time and we will go find people dead because they went out wearing jeans cut off in a T. shirt trying to find a hot spring that they knew from their childhood but it wasn't there anymore and they were probably drinking Jack Daniels yeah yeah and then I had my own run in and I've been serious about the stuff ever since I went skiing by myself one day because I have made a buddy who we took the day off from work we were gonna meet at eight AM and we were gonna do up north our I mean with east of Seattle up in the mountains some back country skiing for the whole day and he canceled at the last minute and I said well I can't on you know take the day off from work so I went up to this other trail which is a more level trail I took my two dogs and I was blown off the trail and about ten feet down off this was if it recovered railway line and I was blown off a gust of wind blew me off I couldn't control it I went off and I hit my knee and head at the same time on snow covered rocks and a lot of snow on the rocks but still I bought my head and I woke up shivering soaking wet and the only reason I woke up this is my blue heeler Newman was chewing on my knee my knee was cut open like a friggin bobcat debt and Newman was chewing I woke up in pain because Newman was chewing on my knee and I got myself out to the trail Serbsky back to the parking lot got a my Isuzu trooper and I drove back to the north bend to Twin Peaks as as it's known around the world so I went to this clinic in Twin Peaks and north bend Washington and as I was in the car I have the heater blasting by the time I got to the parking lot my boot was filled with blood the the pants were filling up because they were tucked in the boot and I walked in the surgeon Kerr and I lost a lot of blood and I didn't even know it and and I I passed out in the reception room and if the dog had not been eating me I I may have just fallen asleep in the in the in the cold and so I I take this this stuff seriously the the the hiker looking for was separated from his partner and I don't know how you notice that an hour later or whatever I just know that you always do this stuff for the partner and then you always have a back up and and whether it's a strobe whether it's shiny mirror whatever and it's and and the reason the reason is because people are are putting their lives at risk to come find you complete strangers our our route are coming to find you and this cost the life of a thirty two year old Tim staples today who but who by the way is a teacher in la Verne at Damien high school in la Verne according to his of the school's website so they're gonna find out on Monday the Mister staples and because these are evidently a altruistic selfless guy is the is dead and so that's a really really sad December Dino county sure Carmen dealing with that and standing down on the search but like in first in Europe if you go hiking or certainly go back country skiing because I I didn't in Germany and Italy you got a buy in insurance policy they do not let you back there unless you can somehow cover the cost of the helicopter that will come looking for your goofy S. and the if it now if if you have a sat phone the price of the insurance goes down if you have a beacon the price of the insurance goes down but if you don't have any of those things you gotta you gotta show insurance policy and and and do that I we don't do that here the the sheriff's department here LA county they don't hand you an invoice they just thank you of the mountain and then you get news coverage like you're some hero or whatever you have really weird people a year ago mount Pinos could be a claim to been stuck up there for two weeks in the car and they didn't eat their dog it wasn't even like eight feet of snow but if they look pretty good yeah they mysteriously been up there for two weeks the county helicopter found number something and I mean I I just I I just I just I don't like the amateurs just don't like managers Iraq will be back ABC rocket engine test could be significant if you want to build a missile input multiple warheads on it and reach the United States for instance other more coming up dirty replace printed in here till eleven KFI am six forty live over on the I heart radio at Michael's pay.
