A look at all 16 possible World Series matchups

"Allow with us right now is is EMMA LB Major League baseball analyst insider extraordinaire the great one himself the one and only Kirk Chin who will be in attendance for tonight's Oakland a's Tampa Bay rays one game divisional playoff game. What's going on man? How are you how's everything I'm great Stephen? Even a I'm at a playoff game. It's a winner. Take all situation on October the second this is pretty good stuff. You really really liked this one game stuff don't you. You really liked him. Well what I think it does Stephen Obviously it brings a game seven half. Let's fear to the beginning of October that that game last night was a really good game but it was even better because the poor brewers had to go home after losing and granted. It's really unfair that one of these teams tonight both worked on ninety five or more games going to have to go home after one but it does bring increased integrity to the regular killer season. It makes those hundred sixty two games so important so you don't have to play in this game but the fact that the loser goes home home makes it. It has a level even high. I gotTA admit him. I'm very shocked by that position that you take because you are one of the most fair minded people I've ever known on and to go to a hundred and sixty two game season and it to come down told one game. It's it almost seems grew. It really does well. It is cruel stephen a but this is a cool sport and I was not in favor of this but here is the option if we were gonNA play a best best of three. Let's say and you are the New York Yankees. Let's say you want your division and you get to host the next round and we have ties leading into the wild card situation and then you play best of three it's possible the Yankees can win a hundred and ten game name say in a season and then take eight days off before they play a playoff game. That isn't fair you need to you need to really welcome the teams teams that won their division and put them in the best possible spot but if you make them wait a week before they get to play. I don't think that's fair. Wow Turkey right here with steven a radio. ESPN news fair enough. That game was something special last night at least the last couple of innings of soda to to to to Gino's keynote hit it to right field identify Grisham to commit that era. I gotTa tell you it was great to see how electric atmosphere was. How much did baseball Paul need particularly when we have just heard reports come down to how attendance drop but so like a six year low or something like that right well baseball can use all the health can get right now? It's still for me at least the greatest game and yet things are starting to slip a little bit and big game like that starting out like that in a city. That's like the biggest game the nationals of one well biggest game. A team in Washington is one baseball nineteen thirty three for goodness sake. That's what made it so good. That's why that celebration was so good and I'll crom tonight. Stephen Ain't no matter what happens this is gonna be a great night for baseball 'cause weighty. Did you see the Oakland Coliseum tonight with fifty thousand people in your they don't have the most fans in the world but the fans they have our rate and they are loud and it should be a tremendous atmosphere so this is a great jump start to the postseason in baseball last night in Washington and no matter what happens tonight tonight tonight in Oakland who you have when you look at tonight's game just evaluate this this match up to me between the as and Tampa Bay talk to me about you know who's looking good in mismatch in what well I like both teams. I'm GONNA pick I like it matters. I'M GONNA pick the as because they're at home. I'M GONNA pick the as Ashok MNAYA WHO's four no with a one twenty-one year as it's coming off the list has been great. Their bullpen is pretty darn good and they can just ask Mash Stephen a more than any team in the history of the Oakland A.'s in the franchise so they can really pounded but they're going up against Charlie Morton who was one of the best pitchers in the game this year. I saw his last start against your Yankees Steven A. and he he threw six scoreless. Let's see was completely dominant and if you throws like that he's GonNa win tonight. That's how good he was so this is a toss up game. I'll just take the as 'cause they gotta pick. Somebody and I'll take 'cause they're at home. You brought up my Yankee so let's get right to it because you know that's what I really really care about. Tim Kirk Okay. I'm very concerned earn. I am not concerned about the Minnesota twins even donate three hundred and seven home runs this year. I just think they're allergic to prosperity whenever their face against the New York Yankees the Houston Houston Astros are an entirely different matter with Verlaine with Cole Whitt Cranky. I don't see anybody beating. These guys. Talk to me about my yankees prospects. The this postseason Tim Kirk well first off. Do not look pass the twins. Even though I'm with you I believe will win. This series do not look past the team that can swing it like that. Team can second I think the Astros are the best team not just in the American league but in both leagues and I'm not sure how any team to navigate through those friends for you guys in the rotation especially coal and Burland at the top and I'm also going to tell you it's even a there or is hope that the Yankees can win the world series that make you really happy a bunch of things have to happen of course after mash like they always do the bullpen has to be great great like it always has been but Luis Severino comes back and give them five dominant innings. Can we've seen him do and if James Paxton this good he's one ten starts in a row. If Tanaka can give them one really good start or a few really good starts I think they are good enough to win the world series with the team that they have now but I still have them as the third best team in baseball go in behind the Astros and the dodge transitioned to the Los Los Angeles dodgers. They've got to face these Washington nationals in the LDS. How do you see that matchup handicap that for me well? I liked the dodgers in that matchup with the understanding understanding that if Max Scherzer can return to being the great Max Scherzer which he has not been since he came off the injured list is not he wasn't that guy last night. He wasn't that Guy September. If he returns to the best he's ever been with him. In Strasbourg Patrick Corbin they can give the dodgers a really really hard time with with that starting rotation and that lineup is very potent these days. I just think the dodgers are more complete team. They hit the ball out of the Ballpark ballpark with anybody. Three stars in the rotation are really good. My key question with 'em is is their back end to the bullpen as good as it needs to be Kenley Kenley Jansen get the people out. He needs to get out if he can't. They're not going to win the world series. How wants faiths the dodgers fans having jetson? I know I don't have much. I like the guy personally early but I I I don't. I don't trust him. I don't trust them a big spots. I think he can be hit. Talk to me about him. For a second yeah his is down his cuddled. It doesn't have the same movement to better tad in the past and that gives fans of pause. They do have some other health back there there but I really thought they'd go get more help at the trade deadline and they didn't so they're gonNA hope starting pitching and power is going to carry them and they're hoping pinged Kenley Jansen his best but I seen him much much better than he's been this year. What should we make about the fact that you've got high payrolls dodgers Yankees you know old? I don't know the order in which is the highest payroll. You would know that at this particular juncture but I must ask you Tampa Bay is in the postseason obviously lowest payroll in major league baseball well. I do believe I know that I mean how do you explain the fact that teams like the as in the Tampa Bay rays notoriously alot payrolls manage to get this fall and sometimes further dentist with the highest payrolls talked about that for a quick second as a protest. Why baseball is so great even a is that Lebron doesn't touch it on every possession? Kevin Durant doesn't touch it on every possession it is so much more of a eighteen game in its own way because you could lose a superstar and still be really good you have to draft and develop properly like the as and the rays done you have to play the game in a better manner because you can't afford to make a mistake because you know either in free agency or trade because it could set that you back with a raise did they. They got Austin Meadows and tyler glass now in a deal for Chris Archer Saint the whole team now they've ninety games two years in a row they they are really good but they're really 'cause they play the game even a defense base running better than most teams do instead of just sitting back saying well. We're GONNA hit a three run at home this morning so we don't have to do all the other things so. Let's get all of this out of the way right. Now Tim Cook while you're here with me. Yankees twins you. Have you have one in that series. I've got the Yankees over the twin yes with the warning. I say it again. Don't underestimate a team that hit over three hundred homers with the as as you picked as over the race tonight which means there as will go up against Houston obviously you pick in Houston to win that series assuming it comes down to that and the LDS correct yeah yeah but no cakewalk they're not against the as but I have the astros advancing against the how formidable on the Atlanta braves not mean I mean I mean at least in these parts. We talked enough about them. How good is this Atlanta braves team well? If Ronald Kunia junior and Freddy Freeman are completely healthy and they they want to finish the season they are the biggest threat to the dodgers in the National League for me. They're lying is absolutely relentless and with some of the pitching moves they made young and Old Dallas Cycle and the upgrades in their bullpen. I like that team. I don't like it as much as I like the dodgers but they can beat the dodgers with the team. They have right now so the nationals brightest moment was last night because you don't see them beating the dodgers correct I don't because they're going to start on the road. They've already use sure they're they've already Strasbourg people. They can get them back in time. I just don't think they held it too. I was worried shows a look tied at the floor four. Oh five in his last night I mean fifteen and won his last pitch and fit then it was I think it was at seventy seven pitches and he looked absolutely gassed. What does that about yeah? He's he's he's been hurt for portions of the year and he's had a little trouble getting that rhythm back in September and now in October and he is so max effort for on every single pitch when everything isn't working properly even he can get in trouble because almost nobody's better than him.

Minkah Fitzpatrick Wants Out Of Miami

"Patriots are so scary with Antonio Brown around that Dolphin cornerbacks are asking to be traded before they have to play on Sunday. minkah Fitzpatrick is has requested and received permission to find a trade somewhere the dolphins would like a first round pick and I'm curious to God's which one do you think is more likely to happen this week at the dolphins lose like that again right or Lamar Jackson and looks like that again because a lot of people are diluting the Lamar Jackson performance because it happened against the Miami Dolphins and a lot out of quarterbacks in that league could play very well if you don't apply any pressure in the dolphins did not apply any pressure throughout that game because they've got a defensive line with a total of before this game of five and a half career sacks for the entire defensive line but which do you think is more likely because the dolphins opens have never given up that many points regular season game and the Ravens had never scored that many in a regular season game and if you believe that the dolphins looking like that again as a possibility fifty nine to ten you're looking at the worst team we've ever seen if they could lose two consecutive home

"Yet one one one ten right, which I feel like I could do pretty consistently two billion dollars. But if you go for ten two years in prison. That's a tough one and not country club. We're talking general population. We're talking about indoors, right? General pop general jail. We're talking about Inuk like so no wind, right? You're you're in a court basketball court inside I want to negotiate that deal to where if I hit the rim. I get one million dollars. No, no, no, any of us could hit the rim. I don't know about that. No, no. I feel like I could make one in ten three point shots, but I'm not money hungry enough to risk three points. The report it's a half court. I meant you're right. I do feel like I could make one in ten in. I'd be willing to prove it on the court, but I don't want money that badly duress two years in prison. So I would I'm in the same boat. I think I could make one outta ten like, I'm very, you know, me with sports. I'm confident about these things I think I could make one I'm not risking two years. I think the reward the risk reward. Don't exactly match right. Like, I don't know two years in prison guys. I understood two billion dollars but two years in prison. So you're now did you flip flop because then you say yesterday, you do it? I mean, I would do it. I would I would I would absolutely attempted and take my chances. And if I don't get it. I'd have to spend two years in prison. But imagine the pressure you'd start feeling like six or seven. Oh, yeah. That's what I mean is he was in having a blast. You're having a ball. You're inside a gym. You just launch at half quarters. And then the next second you're three Mishaan away from spend the next year's general population. President I three you're having fun with. You're like, oh, this is fun. Once you miss six, and you only have four left, right? You're four shots away from the clink. What's your strategy because you kind of were tossing like you toss a baseball or football to God? What's your half court shot strategy? Listen, the key to a great jump shot. And I have one is that your form doesn't change much the further you go out. It's what makes Steph curry. So great stuff Curry's form is the same from basically the same from half court as it is when he's taken it three. So the natural shot for it. And I'm very similar to stuff in that way. You are not. Anyway, you do not have the strength. Hit a jump shot from half court a sweet Christmas seen it. Like, I got a j read from the free throw line. Right. Well, you see? Threes, but that Mazda remarks you guys six threes in a single half of a high school game, which is still a Long Island record that I did it against Billy Owens cousin. But but if you're shooting a half court shot, you're not just standing planted and shooting you're getting a little bit of a running start. I would maybe take to step. I take like two or three steps, and then it's like from the belly shooting it like that like kinda normal style. But with a little bit of a running start. What do you guys like Tim Legler would do? Like Legler, probably what do you think? Because I'm guessing of Legler takes ten half court shots. He's probably hitting three really just in a gym wide open guarding him. But but talking about someone who probably has made some money in his life. So does he need that money at like more than he wants to risks? He probably has kids like that's two years, you're missing. But it's two billion. Right. I mean that Enger kids kids have to take care of generations of your family. I don't know that I would predict even most NBA players would make a half court shot. They tries. I don't know. They would I, but here's the against it. But never taken the shot with the pressure of. Hey, two years in the clink. I mean, he's never had that kind of pressure on them. I mean, there's a Michael Jordan's one thing to here's in the clay is a completely different story. I mean, you see these NBA players like when warming up before MBA games..

We got blow out the Rams is waking up pretty certain that. I think the Rams on five different platforms today. And speaking speaking of blowing teams out how about Alabama I made I think our Bama is going to win this game at LSU. I not tough environment. I ought to Saturday night. Everyone thinks LSU, you know, they're gonna push Alabama nut so fast. My friends. Okay. Alabama is going to win that game by thirty four points. And they're going to celebrate the way you need to celebrate after winning that game. And he's a. All right. This is what's on pleasant about this? Okay. Why let the should be is the simple unpleasantness of a pineapple being eaten by your stomach your stomach being covered in pineapple. Instead what we've got is a pineapple covered in your stomach hair. All it is discussing what we are presently watching on television. We need to go to a commercial right now. Stu guts is. He looks like Matt Patricia right now, we gotta go to commercial. This is too much. This can't be on television. Well, Dan, I just wanna put a cherry on top of all of this and the cherry on top is I think a lot of people just assume Leonard's leaving after this year. And I'm here to tell you he is not leaving. He loves Toronto so much that he is going to stay there an easier path to the NBA finals Kawai Leonard stays with Kyle Lowry in Toronto for the next ten years and they win multiple championships together. That's what I like to call the cherry on top, very good. Stick the cherry in your notes. I wanted to do he says soon soon soon and it boom, boom another stellar appearance by Stu gods. I mean, it's a gut talking that people can't see because they're driving around in their cars. Why would it work on the radio? I have no idea why we doing this. But I'm happy to do it. "He transitions seamlessly into creating a show on the internet outside of television. That is plays to his his hobbies. And was Netflix before Netflix? Yes. And so like, he he's he's been a real pioneer. You can you can make the claim the Jerry Seinfeld. Top five all time in terms of comedians success a couple of things just to clear up b movie was in between all of this on Netflix existed. Well. Before comedians in cars, getting ahead of his time. Nobody and he was working the whole time doing Santa nobody makes. All the right choices. You can do a B movie. Every once in a while. I was watching the other night Anthony Hopkins with a bear. Okay. He was he was he had an issue with a bear. Anthony hopkins. I think it was that the edge gold. This poster was terrified at put it on the poll. Guillermo, please was the edge a solid movie. It was edged with Anthony Hopkins in the Beira solid movie. So Jerry Seinfeld is doing an interview at an interesting time in comedy, right? You got Roseanne Barr. You got Louis C K you got stuff going on. And when he was asked if it's too soon for Louis C K to be performing after admitting to sexual misconduct Seinfeld said he's not convinced that CK returning to the stage bothers people as much as how CK decided to return, but he doesn't think that c should have waited longer necessarily quote. We know the routine the person does something wrong the person's humiliated their exiled they suffer. We want them to suffer. We love the tumble. We love the crash and bang of the fall. And then we love the crawl back. The gravel are you going to grovel? How long are you going to grovel? Are you gonna cry? Are you gonna are you gonna go full Jimmy Swaggart and people I think figured they had? That coming with Louis. He owes us that we the court of public opinion decided if he's going to come back, you'd better show a lot of pain because he denied them that seinfeld's just really smart, and he's really good and he points out obvious things. Really, well, and he does some of them to make you laugh, and he does some of them to make you think. But like nobody wants to talk about the Louis CK stuff. They're all of the comedians are scared to talk about the Louis CK stuff. Why do you think that is? I mean, we protect our own first of all like whenever media member gets into trouble. The people who defend him most fervently or other media members because they see that they can to can be fired for the agree GIS sentence. It's also hard to talk about. It's also very difficult to talk about. I think we this show ran into it yesterday with Derrick rose issues are very difficult for us as men, but it's typically to to talk about I thought though, man, I told you guys when I saw Louis C K on Saturday Night Live. I don't even remember what the three topics where he went pedophilia Palestine and something else that nobody. Talks about didn't seven minutes. Did it seamlessly? I thought to myself if there's anyone who can come back from this cleverly. This is the guy to do it. He can be smart. He can be dangerous. He can be self deprecating. But that's not the way this is playing out. He's trying to make a crawl back through the pub scene just coming out. And then the jokes. He makes not very good jokes. And and there's just a silence in the room around this thing that you know, about him men. Have you read about like, Sarah silverman's predicament, and like how she she's friends with him. And he didn't that in front of her with her consent. And she's like all confused because you you'd Sarah Silverman is very strong advocate on behalf of women. And like some of the things our friend did a really appalling. And so she's just like stuck in the middle on this. But I haven't heard I haven't heard many people if Jerry Seinfeld being interviewed I want to read that and not always because I'm looking for the funding. It's often. In because I'm looking for the thoughtful. That's not what you're gonna get next donlevatar Marsin Gortari. What does he look like a genie or like an actual wizard Jeanie Jeanie Jeanie Jeanie? Stugatz. Marsin cortott. Looks more like a genie or like a sorcerer sorcerer sorcerer sorcerer genie. Oh. You're a rebel. This is done lebatardshow on ESPN radio. "See he goes out to a dumpster on the Bristol campus. He has a cigarette, and he has a conversation with someone and we're going to find out who we had a conversation with yesterday together. All find out at once Mikey say give us our smoke break. Time for smoke. Mike. Exciting. The dishes of smoke break with Mike. I'm your host outside or make you see up by the dumpster. And I'm very excited because we've got the former co host of maybe the greatest weekend. Kitchen, my smoking. Junior joining us and I'm out of breath because I just ran because I forgot my phone interview. You're the only person I know that would attempt to sprint back from getting your phone forgetting, the one thing we came out here to do you forgot the one thing we needed for sprinted, which with your lungs is never a good idea. And now, we're just topping off with a cigarette immediate athlete. You're in a world class athlete. Cite from the from the phone he needed the cigarettes to I probably would've sprint to back for that. That's a fair point priorities. So as I said used to be the co host of the can up to face in the show, one of the greatest shows ever instigates. You seem to have landed on your feet, though, you're doing pretty well for yourselves beyond the show is still doing Golic and wingo, and and you do in football games. And you still do first and last. And he just got like named then this like lists for like, what was it? Like tap broadcasters under the age of twenty five thirty thirty at this point. You have you graduated out of the twenty five group, and I'm nearly getting under the thirty under thirty VAR. The problem is that the thirty thirty. I forget the name of the publication, and even was all people think of is the Forbes thirty under thirty. So of course, my family group check, it's a hold of this in my sister-in-law goes looking for the Forbes list, and she's like I saw like three twenty one year old CEO's and quickly realized you weren't meant to be on this list. So honored with something. I got humbled right after it. Well, enter they get a lot of the smoke break. You'll be on some other lists probably not a great list. But. I'll be one of the list, they put my hustler or something. Big news like about their car like supposedly may be crying during football game. Or did you ever cry during football? No, the almost caught me Slippin during the national championship game. We're getting steamrolled by bam on. It was like a third quarter. I got through all of like the because that was my last college football. I was dumb liability after that. So you're sitting there on the sideline kind of taking it all in. And I got it all the way in the third quarter. So after the game, I was ready ready drink, we have we had a party that was going to be planned win or lose. I if set up by the hotel, and so we're just gonna be sad beers instead of happy beers. Hey, either way they gotta get drink drink a lot of them too. Remember, it had all these great things. Like, I was going to ask you and then had this spring. Do you remember last time? He dead sprint. No. I try to avoid dead sprints at all costs. I was surprised you did it like I'm not in any rush. I didn't tell you to hurry. You force this sprint on yourself. And now you're out here. I'm worried I'm going to have to lift you out of the dumpster at some point. Got nothing else to say, thank you. For dating me another distance smoke break in the book. I love the tapping of the dumpster at the beginning. It's such a great so bad. He was woefully unprepared. And he was out of breath. And that was his final spread. But I also love the master drag. He takes the end, right? Isolate that drag or someone bad there is like that drag that he takes to the end Bill. You're shaking your head. The you've loved like you said you've been a guest on smoke breaks. I love Mikey. See he didn't seem to have like he does preparation, but his facts are usually wrong. And then he said ahead questions. Ask you. But I don't remember what they were just ended it. He took a drag of a cigarette..

"With Stu gods on ESPN radio. I take shipping everybody to Los Angeles just because LeBron is playing. There is funny to watch. He is his own economy. This studio got built. I've told you the story before about how these things got built in Miami at the Cleveland or hotel on ocean drive the last couple of months LeBron decided to leave. And ESPN executives told me in my father, we should put our construction hats on and make sure that studio gets finished. I because the moment LeBron leaves he takes the economy. There isn't going to be a lot of NBA. Twitter Cavs games this year in Cleveland. And so he's gone to Los Angeles and all the I take is there sitting there talking to Magic Johnson, and I want to talk about that with a mean, but we've got a story here and I want to handle some of this carefully. It's the new York, Daily News. And I'm telling you right now that if you don't want the serious stuff with your sports, if you don't want the gender stuff, the race stuff, the politics stuff. You can go ahead and leave now for the segment because I'm going to talk about a story in the new York, Daily News that will not interest you. Okay. So you so Stu gods his leaving. He is going to Instagram, live where you can get a personal show with the hygiene, you crave if you don't want the serious sports commentary by Shaun king of the new York, Daily News. Now we can say that Shaun king is someone who's got a perpetual agenda that does not make. Take his agenda wrong and his. He is a writer who happens to exist in sports who is taking. A side consistently on things with the things that he writes. And so this headline from Shaun king a very specific kind of right, this guy is making his money fighting on behalf of a cause, but is also always a journalist that has a slant like this is not. This is not objectively. This is Shaun kings gotta slant. He is defending black people against the injustices that are in media coverage. And so he writes, Peyton Manning, squeaky clean image was built on, lies as detailed and explosive court documents, showing ugly smear campaign against his alleged sexual assault victim. Now, this is old news, but what he's doing here is what Hannibal Burs and Kavanagh did, which is he's taking that social media didn't exist when this stuff happened when Peyton Manning was in college. So the angry mob didn't exist. And so what he's doing, what Shaun king is doing. Here's reminding people as Peyton Manning has still the image that seems clean even though aljazeera was snooping around his. His wife's. Moans. And even though this incident is in his past, it's a long time in his past, but so was the cavenaugh incident and some of the details on this are not new in any way, but maybe new to some. And that's how Hannibal Burs got Bill Cosby jailed by doing it that way because they're a whole lot of people that do not know this story that was it was it was thrown away with Peyton Manning and college at Tennessee as saying he just mooned a trainer. And when you read some of the testimony in the court documents, it wasn't quite that clean, right? And I think the. I wanna say the more damning thing, but adding to this is not only that, but there was a kind of a discrediting of the victim that happened after the fact in as part of this quote unquote cover up. And that's, that's the release shocking part, I guess, beyond just the the poor behavioral, the thing that Shaun king I believe is not understanding in this story that he's writing and I get what he's trying to do with the agenda, and I actually understand the agenda, don't quibble with the agenda. I know what I'm getting when he's writing something and you can be discerning about that or not. But the part that I'm seeing here is he's underestimating Peyton Manning's no longer. Now these things all catch. If cares, nobody cares about the retired athlete enough to make it the kind of story that it probably should be if we're just talking about morality. Right. Well, I mean, let me push back on on that and say that pain, Manny. Philip appears in national advertisements for direct TV for a nation. In wide insurance. And so he he is a little bit top of mine..

All you're on with Tim kirksey and Paul go ahead. Hey, Tom, what would benefit hears more lowering the mound and moving it back or foot or two. Thanks. I think moving it back would help the hitters more. Mike Lanigan told me that years ago, he said when they were talking about lower the mountains, you g thanks a lot for that fellows. But again, now at the same defensive player grow never wanna to go glove. Clementi for me is the. Greatest defensive right? Fielder of all time. You've tearing it up, so unbelievably that he should be in the big leagues, but given how things work. Now team Sam or going to start the clock later, we'd likely won't see him this year, which is shame because I can't wait till he gets here. 'cause he's going to be stunningly good pretty much. As soon as he arrived MAC, you're on with Tim coaching. Go ahead. Hey, Jim, I've got a question about inform back in the day when I played. Mattie, losing or miss Patty, I she has better odds fifteen to one of his Patty. Let's go petty. Sounds very entertaining. What are the odds on Keitel. Twelve to one. All right. How bad? Let's go to keep who is the favourite to win this. The favorite is mine. I think with dynamic dancer and then Betamax no, two, two, seven. Two two is better than two to one, isn't it? No. Oh, Oh no. no, his three and a half to one. So. All right. Two to one, Sarah Spain, of course at see mean. This all seems rigged, to be honest with you, do you think Lorenzo went through the races and tried to match up the most sort of horse names that would match up with the the people in the league and pick that particular race? You think it's that involve and he's a Star Wars dork and he gave himself the dawn of solo. I think he just picked the race with the most horses in it who knows, man, this guy is not logical. "TV show greatest comedy ever. Maybe the shoe bomb for Maxwell smart or the Kona silent about that to silence. Go in under this hypothetical, all these things actually have to work the way they did in the movie because that's Brian list, right? There's so much of that stuff worked in the TV show. So that was my favorite TV show ever and always will be, let's go to Mike, Mike. Go ahead. You're on with Jim curtain, hey, Tim, in your opinion, who's the most overrated baseball player of all time and the most underrated baseball player of all time. Thank you. Tricky. I think San museums, the most underrated even though she's an obvious superstar and everyone considers him one of the ten best players of all time, I would think, and I still don't think he gets the credit. He deserves because he was lost their a little bit with Williams demise, yo Mays mantle, Aaron. I'm not sure everyone appreciates how great Sam jozy was. Frank. Robinson would be one a on that list that cannot believe how underrated he is given what he did in both leagues or great teams came to the Orioles and taught them how to win most overrated baseball player of all time. Wow. I'm, I'm not sure. I'm good on this as I. I have such great value for everyone who's into hall of fame, say, Matt Harvey. Yeah, Matt Harvey. He's a pretty good choice. I'm still not sure why there was still there's still so much interested in him when he just hasn't pit very well for three or four years, but to make him all time and has a little house Rosberg prosper Kershaw. Yeah, I thought Strasburg would be better Kershaw is not overrated giving his regular number so ridiculous. And I see what you're saying you guys, but this is tricky with overrated underrated when it comes to all time and. And again, twenty five years old. I think we should wait a while. Let's go to Parker Parker. Go ahead. You're coaching. A Bill. If you could only have one breakfast to the rest of your life voted be. I think it would be a definitely bagel toasted slice cream cheese die amount do that will carry me through for a long time. I have mountain dew in the morning, why I don't drink coffee. I missed you and I know your words at the beginning of the segment were insincere, but it's fine. It's fine. We will. We will talk to you next Friday by Fred. Okay. So got see, is he take care? "It's how many Foxworth him quirks in Tim is normally for 'Voliti field segment. But you know, I'm a baseball guy and I am incensed by what happened with the Marlins and the Braves. I can't deal with this stuff anymore. Tim Donny baseball. It just seems like this is dying to slowly. As a matter of course, it Kunis one of the best young players in the game, this is unacceptable to meet him. Well, it is to me to Clinton and it's unacceptable to most people in the game. Look, I'm all for retaliating to protect the teammate. If somebody disrespects use your team, I'm all for knocking down. I'd be very hitting him once in a while, but there is no excuse for hitting somebody because he's too good. We can't beat him. So we're gonna hit him. That's just as totally unacceptable is totally inexcusable. And I never understood this look. This is a hard game played by hard van, and that's what I love so much about it. However, when it gets to this point, they this guy do good, so we're going to have to hit him. That's just stupid and it's got to go, and it's not going to go as long as the suspension is only six games. Maybe it should have been two starts and maybe then the lesson would have been sent to, sorry. So do you think this is going to change at some point because I suspect that the way that you feel now may not have been the way you felt? I mean ten twenty years ago when I mean the question is have your views on this change. So I've always felt this way from day one. Okay. If somebody's better that you, you should find a way to beat him. You shouldn't just hit him. Bob Gibson didn't do this. Don. Drysdale didn't do this. Go look at their hit by pitch rates for their career, the right in the middle of the hit by pitch rate or pay. They'll dust you. So you don't get too comfortable. But in recent years, it's gotten to the point where pitchers don't know how to hit anybody anymore. Rick. Sutcliffe explain this the other night, just throw at somebody utera four seamer at a pitch that doesn't move. And that gives that guy a chance to get out of the way. But the pitch Urania through was a two seamer that ran in that yours can do that they can run in and hit that guy in a place and in the spot where you almost can't get out of the way when you intentionally run it in on him like that. So I've never felt this was the right thing to do, but I do feel stronger today than ever at this is unacceptable behavior to just hit somebody 'cause you can't beat him Tim courage, plenty eight stumbling FOX lebatardshow. "Are, and I don't care how you represent us in public with who you're with, who you're dating, but the patriots cared about it when it when they care about it with gronk. I don't. I don't. I don't remember ballot check all he was. He was reprimanded for. Okay, it wasn't something that was that just floated by. You didn't see anything after that. Right regarding gras. This is gonna be interesting because this is face of the franchise young kid guy. You just gave a lot of money to your trade aid to get him. So this is gonna be interesting to see how the forty Niners front office and head coach reacts. To me, it's just a young kid who was turning his fantasies into reality because he's got enough fame, he's good looking enough and God bless them. That's a fine attitude from you. But you may notice that the NFL is in the news all the time on their image stuff. The NFL is always got a problem. The NFL is in the morality business, it's chosen to be shouldn't be, but the NFL has absolutely placed itself in the morality business while being bad at the morality business. So I'm supposed to be doing important social commentary today about my local team, the Miami Dolphins and what is happening with their anthem stuff. But I am so tired of the stupidity of this story, the stupidity of how it gets hijacked the stupidity about how it becomes about a flag instead of racial injustice. I'm here for the racial injustice conversation. I'm not here again for the flag conversation. Football is terrible at morality, public relations. They shouldn't be in the business that they've chosen to be in the business is laughable. And now the. Miami Dolphins find themselves in the middle of this situation might all I would ask you as a longtime journalist in this town as a longtime journalist, who cares about this town like him. We get Stephen Ross on the radio to explain himself because he is seems to be the owner of the Miami Dolphins seems to be entangled and ensnared in this in a way that is weird where he seems to be on the side of the players, but he seems to keep running into things like this. He's not alone and I'm certain well, but how I'm asking you the seriously I'm asking you before we get into some of the other stuff that we've got today. What journalistic responsibility does this court jester radio show have and what. City and civic responsibility. The Stephen Ross have to answer some difficult questions about this stuff. I'm legitimately asking you because I don't think given football's partnership with ESPN and every everyone else. I don't think that they'd be down for the journalism of, hey, come on here and answer some questions because what you get when the owners get out in front of people is a shoddy who shouldn't be afraid of anybody with all the just f- you got soaked on him. He saying, pray for us because he doesn't know how to enter this. This morality business wanna play the sound bite from Jeff Darlington because I think it's important context because everyone's freaking out about four games and you see that number is pretty shocked. I know. But Mike, what what's happening here is that what's happening here with this anthem story is if you're on one side and you just simply don't understand why the anthem is being played before sporting events when we don't play it anywhere.
