"Just start ready you emails constantly and just in case i die. He'd be like what is this about. I thought dial on sorry about that. Well what are you talking about. Preventive measures had to be done so before we went to break. We give you the headlines. Let's get into the details. John you told him that. The jack died on june tenth twenty eleven. We mentioned he suffered a heart attack and it's important to the story to note. That's the big point of the story It was most certainly out of nowhere like we said he was thirty. Two years old he suffered a sudden heart arrhythmia which is an irregular beating of the heart. And looking into this folks. have it all the time. Yeah arrhythmias can be no big deal. You might Have one yourself. If you're listening to this. You might have a family member that has one but it also if it knocks your heart enough out of whack of can be fatal. It can run the spectrum. Run the gamut of of bad things. That's why i have to watch what i wear around the beach and stuff because if i get too sexy they say that people can just have heart attacks on dial around me. Well when you walk by them and they they fall over. I would offer that. That might not be the only explanation. Just feel honest and realistic to say. I plead the fish. John just say it. Just say we are pointing this out. Not the fact that brent might smell people on the beach but we're pointing out the fact that he died suddenly. It's important to the story. He wasn't suffering from a long term illness or pre existing condition that he was aware of. Yeah yeah so like so many folks that are taken from a early one day. He was there the next as gone. And it's it's terrifying especially you know when you're you're that young. His mother was still young. She's around his friends. Only injects case. It wasn't as gone as you might think these the say. So we're gonna get into that crazy part. Enter the weird so to speak. He said november about six months after his death is good for an tim. Hart was sitting on his couch doing well. We all do the tv on the background. Check is email on his phone. He was perusing the list of emails and he noticed. One of the sender's name was none other than jack. Free has to be just a sink in your thrown. A drop in your. You know what i mean odd..

It was that this wouldn't be the last time she would hit that punch drunk prick over the head with a liquor bottle. ASSHOLE! She never called Jim Morrison by his actual name. And there is no dignifying that lumpy, massive delusional mccheese Mo- that belligerent petty fuck. Everyone knew Jim. Morrison was a Dick, but the doors were huge. So most people just let it slide. It came with the territory. But Not Janice is just didn't feel the need to pussyfoot around it if it walks like a faulk toxic prick, it's an Asshole Dick. Janice was making a name for herself to and even though she liked to get deep into the sauce, she didn't behave in any way like Jim Marissa. She was singing for Big Brother and the Holding Company the San Francisco. PSYCHEDELIC Blues Rock. Band and their second album cheap thrills had just been released. It was about to raise up the charts. Unlike Jim Janice enough to create a fantasy world where she could do whatever she wanted, she could party have a good time. The big bottles southern comfort. She held tightly in right hand made that clear. Jim have been all over Janice at a party John Davidson's house in the Hollywood hills. Davidson a former underwear model in a regular on the Smash Television Game Show Hollywood squares, huge smile, great hair, you know. The one was making himself scarce at night if he was even home at all these parties the materialized that this House that apartment in the hills on the Strip half the time, you wouldn't even bump into the host of the Party of the owner of the House Jim, Janice, we're. We're both too drunk to even really know who their bumping into that night. But Jim kept bumping into Janice thrusting himself at her, she would sit down on the couch and you try to get on her lap. She's attempt to mingle with a group of people and Jim with, but in trip his arm around her shoulder and blow her ear, try to slop his beer soaked lips all around hers. Partygoer didn't want Jimbo hanging around. Thought. Jim Morrison was bad gyms. DRUNK ALTER EGO. Jimbo was ten times worse, a sloppy, drunk, a hedonistic. Violent lumbering fish on a path of complete self annihilation that would raise anything in his path. And he brought out the worst in Jim. Just recently Jimbo had shown up at one of the doors rehearsal sessions. The doors drummer John Dinsmore through sticks across the room and walked out quit. The doors could handle just about any groupie fan, business, type, or musician. He could deal with Jim's other drinking buddies guys like Tom. Baker the Warhol Factory Actor and Alice Cooper leader the La rock band of the same name, the digest been signed by Frank Zappa, but Jimbo. Jimbo is too fucking much. Jim and Jimbo laughed as John stormed out of the rehearsal space. His drumsticks rolling around the floor behind him Jim. Knew would be back and if he didn't come back. Well, fuck it. Then Jimbo collapse passed out in the corner and pissed jeans. And Jimbo, in Los Angeles in a moment of complete drunken stupor, and the to hit it off immediately. They both like poetry both to shock and be provocative, and they both like to palm fistfuls of acid taps does back with Herculean swigs from pop beer cans. Plus. They thought it was funny that they had the same name. To it by Jim Jimbo, so as to keep themselves separate. Regardless Janice knew that one. Jim was one too many. She couldn't find the party's host, so she went into the kitchen and yelled at random partygoers to hide the goddamn phone. Grip the God damn phone cord out of the wall if you had to. Don't let Jim Call Job unless you want this nice Hollywood hills home torn to shreds by hawkish slobbering psychopath. Janice knew she had such morrison down, which was bullshit because she's just trying to enjoy yourself well. She had the responsible one as Jim continued to make a scene. It wouldn't be the first time what happened. She sat back on the couch, knowing the gym would follow any did Jim sat down. Look Janice dead in the eyes said Guts. Then he grabbed Janice long lock of hair, and the move was quick, violent and surprised. Even Janice, and this is something. She would've expected Jimbo to do, but not necessarily Jim. Janice screened Jim hold her face straight down and his CROTCH. His dirty blue jeans smell the stale beer. Still cigarettes still dude Juban living in his pair of jeans for the better part of a week. Janice could tell by the face faithful of stink. Denham Jim laughed and switched her face into his crotch. Some more total dick move literally total Jim. Jabir has had a better move a power move. She broke free from Jim's clutches red-faced and humiliated still inhaling the rank funk of gyms, denim, clad junk and lift that southern comfort bottles straight up into the air and brought it down hard on. Jim's head set him reeling knocked him back. Shut him the faulk up. There was one thing. Janice Joplin new was bottles of Southern Comfort. They were good for drinking sure, but in a pinch they were good for weaponising for pulling Jim, Morrison out of whatever fantasy he was in and putting that asshole back.

"The unexpected as the mid and wash asleep. You're inside the box. Oddities more as a concept as reality although yeah we did go out and do a little yard work the other day which was nice it it actually got up to fifty degrees here in. Maine know nothings been getting weird here? I'm sure it's probably the same where you are. The other night we were enjoying a few Delicious local craft brews in playing heads up that game with the phony. Put it up on your head. You Know Ellen talks about it. All the time. The more craft beers that were consumed. The more ridiculous year clues became now basically. It's you know one has a word and they try to get the other person to say the word and so you have to. Y- it's tough. You have to give some good clues and I feel like I was spot on all night. Here's one of the clues she gave. This is that girl whose name I recognize but I have no idea who she is. Although I'm sure she's nice get one and then you wanted to get online start planning trips. Yeah and as I mentioned we'd had a few beverages and I had to convince you. That wasn't a good idea and you wouldn't give up the notion of getting online and drunk ordering stuff and toll. I convinced you that During these difficult times Internet closes at seven. Well it was like a curfew and then that makes a lot of sense to me. Something else that I've been looking at a lot lately is my collection of Jenny Lawson literature. Which if you're not familiar with Jenny Lawson please please look her up. she's known as the blog ass as well. She's written books. Let's pretend this never happened is one of my favorite books of all time. She also has like a part coloring book part motivational kind of thing. I don't even know how to describe it but it's magical and it has nice words in it that that I feel like our talking directly to me and I think that you might feel the same and just this page that I randomly opened up to just now says perhaps the most selfless thing you can do. Today is to be kind to yourself. You will learn you go words. That are good for any time. But it's her especially during a pandemic look up Jenny Lawson so way back in June of Twenty Eleven. You remember back in those days when we go outdoors twenty eleven in June of two thousand eleven thirty two year old. Jack froze died suddenly thirty two years old. It was determined that he had a heart Arrhythmia that occurs when there are electrical impulses in the heart. That don't work properly causes a little fluttering thing. A lot of people have it some people. It's not even detected in. They think that that's probably what happened with Jackets and he probably didn't even know that he had it so he passed away. He left a mother. Many friends extended family. Everybody described Jack as just a great guy really kind really carrying. Yeah so did you have like a head in his freezer. No no no nothing like that genuinely was nice okay. Hold on like Yeah in canisters not the case at all months past after his funeral before his friends and family began receiving emails from him. Oh from beyond the grave had he set up an algae as well. There are services that will allow you to bank e mails and have them send out. It works in a way where you write these emails and you bank them and then the service will check in with you every so often and if you don't verify the email they send you or the texts that they send you after like six months then they release. These e mails assuming that you're dead. Wow I just am so not good at responding to emails like people would be like. I'm sorry what she's yeah. Sorry about that. I just suck at e mail. It went right to my junk folder now. Everybody thinks I'm dead One of these services called dead man's switch in. That's basically what it does. It allows users to take care of any final business that they may have had leftover or just send out but but this was not the case because Jack was referencing Shit. That was going on after he had died. That is that a service that you can. Well it could be in. We just don't recognize it in our dimension. Okay an X-ray Service. Even though the bizarre correspondences began months after he passed. They all contain references to current private events. Also personal information in them like inside jokes that That nobody knew except Jack in the person who got the email we all have those little jokes with people so what was going on here was his spirit able to reach out from beyond the grave or somebody just maybe pulling a prank kind of a cruel one. I think probably it's his spirit reaching out via email from beyond the grave. You're just saying that because you were recently criticized as not being very paranormal friendly. Yeah people are like JETHRO has always always in on this. I think cats like no so you're trying to change your perception. Aren't you like we just sat through some sort of a weird focus group? I'm just being open minded as I always had if it was somebody pulling a prank on the family. How incredibly cruel is that to prank grieving family over a really Nice Guy who died at thirty two in two thousand twelve the BBC did a story on this case? Oh and those closest to Jack came forward to share their firsthand accounts in that story. Tim Hart who was. Jack's best friend described him as you know he was my right hand man. We ended the two were inseparable since the age of seventeen. They were like high school buddies all the way up through Jack's passing. He said it was five months after jacket past life was starting to get back to normal a little bit. When either Jack or someone pretending to be Jack started sending him emails now were they just like hey. I hope everything's well. Did they speak of Jack's having passed. Did they speak as though he were not dead? What's how the there were things like the two at joked about how dirty Tim's attic was Jack would always say he was gonna come over on the weekend to clean his attic? It was just one of those little things that friends French share little inside jokes and one night. Tim was just scrolling through his phone. He received a message from Jack in the subject. Line was I'm watching you and it read. Did you hear me. I'm at your house clean. Your fucking attic feels threatening slash funny well. Heart insists that they were the only people that knew that little attic joke. It was an inside thing. Jack's cousin Jimmy McGraw broke his ankles a few months or ankle a few months. After Jack's funeral McGraw was laid up for a week when he received an email allegedly from jack the email read. Hey Jim how you doing? I knew you were going to break your ankle. Tried to warn you. GotTa be careful. Mcgraw told BBC that he likes to think it was jack quote. I look at it as if he's gone but he's still trying to connect with me trying to tell me to move along into and to feel better to watch out for curbs on the possible explanations for this particular email is that Well I guess all of them really. Somebody had logged into Jackson email and began sending messages to his his friends and family. Everyone who got messages claimed that no one knew his passwords. Because if they did even if they did they wouldn't have sent messages. It's just kind of a cruel thing to do to people are grieving. It's weird. I mean not that people don't do cruel and terrible things very true. I mean he could be sending. You know fingers and toes like this. Is your son to people do that to do so. Yeah it's a great point you have there. At least. He wasn't dismembering family members in mailing body parts. But what would be the motivation for a stranger to hack into Jackson? Email in do this. Not all of the emails were able to get through to his friends and family. His cousin. Jimmy McGregor claims that an email asked him to pass along a message to Jack's other cousin rock the email from a Jack said that he couldn't get through that the fucking email didn't work in an interview with BBC. Mcgraw show the message and it said. Tell Rock. Great Song couldn't get through so on and so forth. I love the.

"So he's obviously afraid to shoot in front of people right if he's an empty quarantine house where it's basically just like him and various Kardashians right. Nobody else does. He still have the public anxiety. Kick in because there's cameras and he knows people are watching on instagram. Or is he called? Because it's a it's like an empty Jim and he can shoot. Three pointers like does during his off season workouts videos. You know what I mean. Does that extra buffer between him and the audience turn him into a marksman. What do you think this is a great question? And I did have been Simmons's Kinda the captain of my team of guys. Who would immediately lose at this game? Well my goal. I know you said earlier. You're not a doctor but I hope you're a psychologist because that's where I'm going with this one. I I don't know man. I feel like if he were forced to do this because I if he were to participate it would be like a forced situation. I mean Lebron would have to call him up and be like. Hey you're you're clutches roster. If you don't do this I kind of think that he I could see him now. Trying a corner three here and there. Maybe a right handed corner three. Maybe he'll he`ll. He'll try jump shot with his eyes closed. He'll up the difficulty level. So that if he fails he can just blame it on something like that. So he'll put a band Dan over his face or something otherwise no I don't. I just can't even imagine him being an empty even in an empty Jim taking shots even though we did see it in in the offseason. But I'm not convinced at that. Footage was was real. That might have been doctored. Okay a guy who I think could actually lose to. Ben Simmons in this tournament would be Probably one of your favorite players. His name is Marcus smart now. I I'll anecdotally. I've only seen him. Warm up maybe a dozen times but he loves to do like the sit on the bench trick shots where he's trying to flip them up or the over the head three pointers from the corner. I swear to God I've seen this Guy Attempt. Two hundred trick shots. Michael and I've never seen him make single one I think he's zero percent When I've watched him do trick shots. I think that Marcus smart has the potential to be the worst horse player of all time. I've called him an elite shot mister before that definitely is true and I think that him versus Simmons could be like Ali Frazier of the worst possible horse tournament. What do you think this is the most upset? You've ever gotten me since we've started doing this podcast. I'm about to rip my headphones off. No this is this is this is a travesty. This is a blasphemous statement by you. Marcus smart is a living legend. I didn't even think of him for this competition. But now that you brought his name up he would be my choice to win it all. I can't even I. I know you're trying to get under my skin with that. Pick right there but you've succeeded. Then I've got another good one for you. This is not a troll. You Andre Drummond remember. There was that brief period where he was like telling people that he was going to try to. Maybe turn into a stretch five there for a little bit. I think this season he actually did shoot a little bit better from outside. Not well by a little bit better. I mean fourteen point three percent from the from the three point. Line but it's not just three pointers that he can't hit Michael. It's astonishing so career. He's thirty seven percent from three to ten feet. Not good on mid range shots. He's twenty eight percent on long twos. He's actually three percent Michael on long twos during his chronology. Many obviously and then he's a fifteen percent career three point shooter a he could be he could be sort of maybe like wilt chamberlain of force right just the opposite. You know like the worst horse competitor. Ever another guy would throw in there maybe would be Assan whiteside. What do you think Weitz? I'd yeah although I mean at that. Like weird pushed shot the sometimes. Plus he takes his free throws from like a foot behind the line. I don't know if he's still does that so he would be just a quirky competitor Yeah Drummond right before the season ended. I mean there were games where he was on the cavs Where my notebook? It was just like a giant. W T F because he would launch these threes with like fifteen on the shot clock that just smashed against the backboard but I will say I feel like Drummond is someone who has this type of the type of self confidence and self belief that you need in horse so I would actually say that he would be a welcome competitor. He wouldn't be afraid to try. Funky things I would like to see I would welcome into him into the competition. Even though you know if he were up against a legitimate three point shooter it would be very. It would be over very quickly. Yeah that's one of those skills that you just pick up along the way after six seasons with the Pistons Right. It's like look if you have any shame about struggling in public or like any anxiety about going onstage or anything about making getting made look a fool if you play for the Pistons Long enough all that stuff just kind of gets out of you. So what other guy? I forgot to mention on guys could be good though is actually Zion. I've Seen Zion. Hit like deeper than half court shots. I've seen him hit sitting down three pointers from the bench with just a very little flick of the wrist. Haven't heard a ton from him other than him donating money to basically the entire city of New Orleans during this You know shut down so I would love for him to get in on the action to in terms of other guys. You think would be really bad. Michael What do you got? I mean just off the top of my head. I'm going with Russell Westbrook. That's gotta be Cap de I mean we're talking about like I just was mentioning confidence and how that could be your friend in a game. Like horse like a the of shots that Russell Westbrook would attempt he would never you know when it's your turn and you try to do something completely out of the blue to to try to make this wild comeback or something like I. He would never make his first shot. So it's like I can't see him making another player. Get a letter which is a key part of victory in horse so Westbrook is Kinda just you know. That's at the top of my head Guy. Who would just really struggling competition like this? No it's a great choice. I've actually got another idea. We could do a spin off now. I'm looking at the true shooting percentages of everybody this season from worst to best and the bottom twelve includes three nicks RJ Barrett Kevin. Knox and Elfriede Payton. So what if we did a knicks only competition? It could go on for six hours again. We'd have to really get into the editing side of things and like you know cutting this thing because they might not be able to hit anything and it's just like an inner squad scrimmage between Peyton Knox and RJ Barrett for horse. How many fans you think are watching. You think Steve Mills will check in on that one from wherever he is. I mean if you were to start this it would not end until we were all done with the quarantine it would be like two thousand twenty four Those guys would be trying to resume their playing careers and they would have to. We'd have to figure something out there but it's so funny that you just said three nicks and I was expecting you to say Julius randle and his name even came out of your mouth so ladies and Gentlemen The New York Knicks of the two thousand nine hundred twenty season. Yeah I mean this thing would take longer than the masters. There's no question we've certainly run this into the ground though. There's no doubt but we had a follow up question from Sean. He writes. I hope you guys are doing well in New York City. I hear ambulances all day and night. You guys helped me relaxed before bed in to the scary noises. Stay SAFE SEAN. He continues. I bet lots of NBA players courts at home could there be a video dunk contest. That could be broadcast online or on. So Sean is basically calling your bluff. Michael he's saying there's more guys than we know have access to courts. He's hoping anyways. Would you prefer at home? Dunk contest or would that suffer the same fate as this horse contest? Which you're clearly just completely outta no I you know I I love the dunk contest. This is not the venue for it. I think that for one I think a dunk contest is something that requires a lot more physical strain on the body and I mean these guys are just not in shape right now to do it so if we were to have a dunk contest and someone like you know rolled their ankle even in their own home and then it would just get really uncomfortable and it would suck the air out of the room but also like a dunk contest needs a crowd. It needs energy. You can't just do it by yourself or even with one camera operator in the room with you. It would just be just be really awkward. I just could not see this being successful and on that note I would just love a list of players who have a court in their home. I think that would be a really cool thing to kind of Peru's as we just kill time here here. We can figure out other events for them to participate into like was busy and happy. Yeah I mean Yeah. I could just see Dwayne Wade re tweeting. Some guy's dog and giving it a nine and everybody having a bunch of fake laughs on twitter about it. I don't want anything to do with this Sean. It's no disrespect to your idea. I actually Kinda liked the idea of horse a little bit better if only because there is the trash talk element of force. And everybody's just Kinda goofing around and hanging out and it just probably would feel like a little bit more like a A group Hangout Session. Almost like instagram live again. We're desperate here. All right on a lighter note. We got a question from Dan. He writes a high school teacher from the Toronto area. Who's in the middle of two weeks of government mandated self-isolation and I will be teaching remotely for the next month. Your podcasts has kept me sane while I clean do laundry and barbecue solemnly while staring into the distance outside of my girlfriend it is strange to admit that I probably heard your voices the most during this time. I'm sure you treasure that thought of US influencing Dan during his barbecuing Dan continues. I have three teaching colleagues in my school. Board who are also massive. Nba Fans. And this week I took to sending them daily highlight tape of past players that we love as encouragement. We have enjoyed the camaraderie of these exchanges and remembering loved players of the past. He goes on to say he's been sending tapes of Baron Davis and Dan Marley and he's trying to shoot for guys who maybe were like one time all stars but not like big time superstar players. He's looking for the more skewer type players Michael and then he asked us. I've got Eddie Jones lined up next but I haven't decided upon anyone after that. Can you guys help me and planning some more top five fringe all stars in the early nineties and early two thousands That I can send out to my colleagues there youtube tapes so Michael. Do you have any recommendations for these teachers who love our voices up in Canada. What do you think this is a really fun exercise? I don't know if My number one choices a little too too much of a star too much of a big name for for what Dan is looking for. But I know you have Michael Jordan. So be quiet over there I actually don't okay. Well congratulations I'm going with Tim Hardaway Fan. Good one he is someone who you know when I was growing up. I was in aspiring point guard. I was not the tallest player and I was obsessed with guys who just had handle and particularly who had a ridiculous crossover in Tim Hart. No no one's crossover was better than Tim. Hardaway's and I mean I could watch it for days. He'd go between the legs at full speed. Go between the legs and then quick cross back and then just below by his man. I was watching all of these clips just to kind of refresh my memory before we record this and Tim Hardaway was like unguardable before he blew out his knee on those early run. Tmc teams in the early nineties in Golden State. I mean he was just a blur You know he those teams like in real time or a little bit before. I was able to kind of process what I was watching on television..

"Don't WanNa skip over the part that you've got the new book coming out beginning again. James Baldwin America in urging the lessons of our own. Ns My aunts. My Dog. That's my man. I just love Jimmy Baldwin. We think about James Bond inches crazy and just the power of what he can do a words. It's like some people give you look at Mohammed Ali. And he would. He could do with his fist but this make him do that with words. They're not just cut beneath the skin. Week you see. It would cut the flesh. What is your book? You'RE GONNA be about so in some ways. What I was trying to do is to figure out so Jimmy live long enough to see them Kilmartin. He lived long enough to see that the that the hopes of the civil rights movement were betrayed. And there's a line that comes out of his last novel just above my head. And I'm paraphrasing. He says you know. When when the dream was shattered and people scattered some lost their minds. Some died some went to jail and he says you know. Responsibility ISN'T LOSS. Responsibility as advocated and if one refuses abdication than one begins again and so. Jimmy is writing in a moment when the country is turned. Its back on this civil rights movement. The back white backlash has happened and he sees Ronald Reagan on the horizon. He sees another words all the things that will lead to trump today and so I wanted to write about how he responded to that moment of betrayal. Because we're living in a moment of betrayal of our own and so most folks will go and read Jimmy's They would read the fire next time. And I'm like no. No no no go read donate industry. The book he wrote in. One thousand nine hundred seventy two and it's a book that is like you know if the fire. Next time is the prophecy. No name in. The street is the reckoning. And so I wanted to use that book as a frame for thinking about our current moment so is not a book about Jimmy Book. Where thinking with him and trying to find resources to keep my head up in this dark moment where the country has turned. Its back on. Its promise once again I would like to know other sources that you use personally for hope and optimism in what else what the craziness that's happening right now you know I think is really important to make a distinction between hope and optimism optimism. I don't have a lot of that from Mississippi you grew up in. Houston you know what I attend court or blue sound is you know. There's there's a line in it. Bb King has a line where he says. Nobody loves me but my mother but she could be jiving too so he's a blues. So coke is a hope. That the boys says sews a black folk as a hope not hopeless but unhelpful? You know so. Where do I find this blues soaked? Hope I find it in us. We've seen dark times in this country may mean we've experienced the country at its lowest points. And what I do know. Is that my faith in human beings capacity to respond in the darkest of the hour is the faith that I have. I'm constantly trying to be able to Cultivating my ability to see beyond the ugliness of now to imagine and otherwise where human beings could be treasured where everyone can no matter the zip code. No matter who they love no matter. The color of their skin will be afforded dignity and standing in a society that values human beings has opposed to money and things Croissant Winded Ping visited. You Know Mayor Michael Dyson Cornell. Yeah Yep we're both of them but my question would be. Who would beat a better rapper? "Say ministry is to insecurities. That's probably you know. Having having my wife I tell people God give you two days to bring you up a past Anna. Why a lot of times you you face insecurities and here my pastor talk about them and there are things that you have have to constantly repeat and you can't get tired of repetition and what I mean by repeat their things you have to take the word of God and affirm to yourself Because you begin understand if you don't have boldness and confidence in what God put on the inside of you. Then no when you stand in the pastor no one's GonNa believe a word is coming out of your mouth to what. Are you insecure as you. Well do you. You is because you you see. As a pastor or anybody you more familiar with your own inadequacies and short comments than anyone else and I'm probably probably more critical on myself than anybody else And so you you when you see God do things is is very humbling like got. Why would you want me to do this when I know there are things that I'm working constantly myself? And and that's where having a pastor Comes in because he sees things in you that you don't seeing yourself. That's where having a spouse house who knows. God they see you see things and you I mean I can remember times I would stand and I'm preaching a word and I'll just my wife is so encouraging and she's my biggest cheerleader and she says avenue. Where did you get these examples from? I will look over. My wife would be in tears because because she's in all I'm saying and I'm thinking you and me too. I want to step back and Now she's very encouraging in that. But I says sweetheart really my sincere desires. I just want him to get it that bad. I saw him constantly searching. Tim Hart saying Holy Goes. Give me something. Show me something. I can relate to these people so they can see what you're showing me in the word. So they can grasp it so they're not doing that and so I think in the end I'm like I said when I look at the word and the word is constantly challenged me as a Parson You just you have to turn your thought process to who you are in Christ because if you don't you'll just buckle the enemy will try to use the insecurities to stop you and you have to say okay and then you have to get over people you cannot let people getting you just give up a little bit. My value is not wrapped up in what people think about me. That's right. My value is wrapped up in who I am in Christ and so I know I'm going to have people the the big one of the biggest freedoms I got from the word was. I'm not everybody's past that's okay pass. They helped me see that. That's right that it you know and that and that I see I tell people all the time actually put it in a video that we're here we after the word to get results and if that's not what you have to do. This is not the church for you not to pass the for you. You GotTa be bold enough to say that. And that's that's been a big help as far as US staying the course. We know what God called us to do. And then we're not everybody's and I think that you guys have given us and I would love to talk about this because I think that that was our thing to do. Power Couples Rock. And we do all the way the the retreats and workshops. And we know that everybody's not going to be come into power couples rock workshops and retreats and we have to be okay with with that but our hunger and our desire is that when they do com. Oh yeah that they are being field and fed and they're getting results Zolt because we're teaching principles that comes straight from the word of God. I I love. You may add love on the people and provide them with what God has placed in our hearts and absolutely the and You know like you said we we are worst critic and we can talk about all the things that we're not doing what we need to be in no no powered up even more but We we have to believe what God is put in our hearts to do. He's going to do what he said. He was what he told us to do. When we we wrote it down? And so. That's the hallmark of my vision accident Interject yes place A hallmark of vision is to teach people how to develop a personal relationship with God by one search in the scriptures into relying on the Holy Spirit to guide them into all truth. Now what this does. is you place emphasis on doing that. It gives the people the confidence to hear the voice of guy and and then step out to fulfil the call on their lives and we believe they're known in his own us to do that and one thing I never wanted to do as a pastor was to coerce the people into doing something in the church I wanted them to know from their heart. That's what God told them to do. Because you deal with people in the church at different levels of spiritual development and growth and people come from different backgrounds so of course you when you dealing with somebody to have an attitude that would wear me out and I can't keep Danish short lived because they will show the heart and that they will use gene. Call right it's not genuine and is it's not authentic But if you spent time with God because I taught you how to pray I told you how to get in your Bible and God told you I want you to be involved in children's ministry then when you have to deal with a parent with attitude past it don't have to pick you up. God told you to do it so you stay the course That's the difference. It's tough way to you gas here. "Listen, I gotta run. I appreciate you calling airfare animal. Ed from Auburn. How are you? Ed. Hey, Tony first off let me just say this. I have been able to talk to you it, really. Appreciate you taking my call. Sure up. I was gonna call regarding all burn and just talk a little bit about. I've totally really quick quick sa- can. But as far as Gus malzahn, eighth eighth got open in a test spot. You were talking about the office on they had five guys, you know, that were pretty well, you know, to go, and then the niche tackle that they had just went through a knee surgery. But and so, but as far as what the schedule often should not be in the shape that they are isn't Justice first year second year, this, you know, he's been there eight or ten years now. And you know, the fact that you didn't keep up with other people because you didn't recruit well east on four ace on twelve office of linemen in four years, and you know, in this is going to be a big problem. And you know, if he had been recruited in already this year right now, he said three D commits from next year recruiting class. And I mean one guys like a three star. You know, it's not like a. A superstar. He's got been author. But you know, just in Rawls that lost Pickens last year at the end of the year two in recruiting to Georgia. And I just don't think it would be clawed his heart. And there's a lot of kids that come out of this local area. Like, I just said Justin Ross and open did approve Tim Hart, and George Pickens come out of Hoover. But there's a lot of kids that come into this area in and you listen to them and read about them, and they're like, well this one kid just junior he should well LSU's recruiting the home it is. And I just, you know, I'm just my opinion is the Albans should not be in the place. They are at is far as you know, as far as looking at airports body as an uphill battle and Tessa saying it's going to be better, you know, LSU game last year. I think just whilst you know with or gain coaching. But I just wanted. No. I mean, do you think that I just don't think that it's I think he can be a rough year for all gonna hang up, Tony and thanks so much take McCall. All right head. I appreciate it. You look this is one of the stories that we're going to keep an eye on as the season goes long in this. There's no way to know until you start playing the games. Auburn opens up with with Oregon, obviously, they play Georgia. They play Alabama. They play Florida. The scan the schedule is what it is. And you gotta play through it. You know, you sit there and look at, you know, Auburn Alabama one side and Georgia on the other side is just a brutal brutal situation. We will see. All right. We're gonna take a break when we come back. We will take your calls at two four to seven to eight five. This is Tony Barnhart..

"How about that? It's their fourth win oppressively this for chasm his boys fourth win over a top twenty five team since the beginning of last year. I mean fourth win over a top twenty five team in a lot of teams. Baseball's like basketball there's a lot of teams that compete and for him to do that. And I always say one thing about a few cows. You can't you can't beat them. If you don't play them. And you know, what you're not gonna win a ball when you play against those teams. But you know, you're gonna eventually you're going to get one here you're going to get one there and our kids they love to compete against teams at the highest level. And it's just so inspiring to me on those days when it's our day things. Go our way, we find a way to slay Goliath. It's there's not that sweeter than that. Congrats out there to Cazin his boys. "And radio and podcasts and has board jobs and all the rest of us combined, Chris Mannix. Good morning, sir. How are you? I'm just checking this is about the middleweight division. Right. I've got my notes in front of me. You wanna talk Gennady Lofton correct today. Just get swapped along with some twenty twenty four protected first round picks. I mean, they might have I've Wesley purview hours last night, the fossil those those could have been like Nick's euro stashes for all we know. You know, I did the story that I've been trying to write for years now that I keep picking up and putting down, and it's about those those euro stashes that get thrown into trades. I mean there handful of guys I that the NBA through the research for me, they're a handful of guys that have been traded like nine times that never play in the NBA and talked to one who told me still has like all his gear from every team that's acquired. They sent him gear. How and even know that was a perk. That's a good perk. Yeah. Whatever he's got stuff in his closet that you know from seven traits ago. I wish you had given me more than my subway is stuck in your lap. Text me. But I'll get you back. You will. I know you will. All right. Let's talk a little mix. Let's talk a little Kristaps Porzingis because we are hours later in the morning after and I think we're all still trying to get our heads around how quickly this came together. And what it means for both these franchises. What was your main? Takeaway as this started hitting the Twitter feed yesterday afternoon. Well, my first reaction was, you know, shock because it knew the Knicks were trying to get off the Tim Hart. Away contract. They were trying to move off Courtney Lee, I never really expected them to throw Kristaps Porzingis input mix because they had spent and you know, this the better part of the last year, basically telling everybody that would listen that they're done chasing big fish. They're going to grow their team organically this past off season. They didn't go out and splurge on big contracts. They were all in on a slow scaled rebuild. And now, it's like I hopped in the in the hot tub time machine went back to ten and here, we are again with the Knicks jumping to feed into free agency with double max cap space and a layer of dysfunction kind of around them. So I was really shocked. They gave up porzingas it's easy to see why. And you know, behind the scenes, our too, I wonder I wonder what they actually know. I wrote this during the week like I wonder if the Knicks have had a communicated via back channels that. That either. Kevin Durant Colli Leonard Cairo Irving Jimmy Butler. One of those top tier players is definitely coming. Because that's the only way that I would take a risk like this. Whatever you think about porzingas is he a I hear guy all NBA guy is perennial all star. He's got a huge upside. So to give up on him while these still in his rookie contract. It was really surprising to me. Yeah. All of that. And I think Chris this is the thing that I find most just kinda shocking disconcerting perhaps on behalf of all the Knicks fans that I am surrounded by in New York and have been put through hell over the last twenty years that they're finally, by the way, this is a sentence. I've probably said many times in the last five ten years that they are finally on what seems like a sensical path. And every so often they get on that that rational path..

"Way they are in just kind of cherry pick ideas in in philosophies from each place and throw them all into one huge pile and just make this this amazing club. And as far as the golf course, I would say, you know our trip down to Australia, you know, going over to Scotland one more time and just seeing how amazing like short grasses has really been pumped into TV see over the last couple of months of just like, you know, kind of taken some bunkers out around the greens and in. You know, making it more short dress, just giving people more options in some different play ability that they won't see necessarily too many places in the states. I think that's kind of one thing that will be definite tone setter in something that sets it apart from other clubs, and it's gonna be really cool to see how shakes out Zack on that on that subject from an agronomy perspective, what kind of grass do you have out in Utah. And can you get it as nippy and his firm as you need to to play like you want it to? Yeah, I think a big thing for me in raw and you know, some other people that are involved is definitely like play ability of the golf course. You know, you have all these ideas and, and you want him to play a certain way. And in order to do that, you know, we're not blessed with, you know, being on being on some like sand dunes, like in San hills or on the the coast of somewhere with some real sandy property. We're gonna have to, you know, spend some money and and bring in some sand into sand cap, the place more and and making it making sure we can get it firm and fast because that's kind of an underlying. Principle that needs to happen in order for the course to play well, because we want we want it to play firm and fast. And as far as the grass goes, I think we're going to have to do some testing and see what works. But as far as I'm concerned, you know, there are places in Utah that you can get really firm and fast, and I'm excited to see kind of what route we go with that. And I think people will be pretty happy when they see it finished having spent no four or five full days at Sweden's. What's your favorite whole out there for me, you know, five is pretty ridiculous. I think that's one of the five and seven. I would say are two of the best short par fours in the entire world. Like describe him for us. Five cow, you know five. How long has five rob, like three like like two eighty three from the tip to ninety. I'm like that like what? The way we were playing, we played it a lot this weekend from like kinda fun playing for Mike to forty to fifty seventy five and all these long we played it. Weekend. So it's under three hundred, big fairway. But like you know, you're always going for the green. It seems like, and there's one big giant, you know, not giant. There's one bunker right in the middle of the green basically that the green rats around it and the greens built-up, you know, ten feet, probably eight to ten feet falls off in all directions and the internal contours on the green that kind of let you, you know, allow you to play balls to the right side of the green that will feed around the bunker kind of these to these back left pins. You know, it's pretty. It's a pretty brilliant whole. It's like so easy until you screw up. And then it's just like disasters irking. There. Like we, we, we put a couple of pins kind of laughed this week over this bunker that were so nasty. Like, I think a couple of people died in the bunker. There've been so many good ojection videos showing up on Witter. I was long a couple of Peter Smith and Tim Hart June. That's amazing injection ever. Yeah..

"It's possible. I for the record, I would lean yes to Kevin love. I don't think it's like he should. I wouldn't be like, oh, why isn't? And yet, but I would lean, yes, right now, they know by the end of like again, if he's he's got another seven, eight years, I could see him. I would also I think he deserves some sort of metal just for being like the only relevant American white player in the NBA since Larry Bird mccaskey. Let's. It's not a thing you ever see in the fact that you're still like in a borderline all-star caliber player. I'm gonna start a birth certificate trooper. I wanna see burst that blue warning threes. I wanna. He's an Athens native hop off of bandwagon. So fast. That sketch one. Yeah. Once you're done which and you Rev up this Kevin, love, listens truth. Now, here this I will never be done with the sign Williamson withdrew. He's, he's he's born because he's like Pacific northwest, right? So he was born some island off van Couva. Newfoundland. God dammit. Kevin, I need to see that birth certificate and then maybe I'll change. My mind doesn't it's probably not volt where he keeps his ringlets showed us. So Primo box. Five, she'd we've talked about again, I don't. I think the interesting thing with him if he goes into coaching because all account, everybody's like, yeah, this guy would just be an amazing coach. I think that would be the push that he would need. But right now I don't think he he would get my vote, but I don't think even he's gonna fix the water and Flint shout out real quick to let me let me get our name. Miss America was last night or miss one of those fucking pageants. Sure. And miss Michigan had quite quite the take. No boy, she said shoes. She was from a state with eighty four percent of the US freshwater, but none for its residents to drink, introduce yourself a Queen and she wants out. I've shout out assassinated shortly. None of these have her name. She did not win. Emily CO Ma. Okay. So what about us? Good job. I Emily come on the pod whenever I'm looking right. Put up Kevin Love's, five officers to second teams most improved. Packed in player of the year. He does have a goal though twenty twelve? Okay, which I didn't know. So I think that'll probably helps and he's got the rang lockdown stuff carry. He's got an iconic moment and I wonder because he's just like the numbers that career numbers. I wonder where he ranks for like twenty twenty games, thirty thirty stuff because I know he was the only one doing it for. Yeah, him Dwight Howard. Those the only two. And he had that stretch second last year, Minnesota, like every night was twenty twenty the minimum. So would assist to like six, seven. I see six here Billips. So we talked about. See seven, Tim Hardaway. Yes, I don't. It's tough with some of these guys who've been out like Moncrieff just for so long coats, like what's the NBA waiting for. Tim Hardaway also had that tough moment retired, which his credit. I remember my Jones was talking about this. I guess he does like a lot of outreach and yet he does seem like one of the few like, you know what? I just fucked up. Let me try to make this right, which I can respect even if I can't respect what your rigidly. Yeah, so I don't know. I just know if he got put in no one knows that other part. Right or Billups with the fucking vassal in much worse. Perfectly legal to eat vassal in. Perfectly legal to hate people. To be on Tim side for second. Tim Hart, five, all stars, five all MBA's. Career eighteen in eight. On the twenty or two thousand gold medal. So he's gotta go motor, which I don't think I knew that. He missed a year in his prom..

"Be a different style alive than any other franchise he's been with but it gives them the best opportunity to continue to be he is actually like that fit for him off the court to we know that his son is still new york city and that's a little easier than you know portland was floated earlier in the day it's easier to get to miami dwayne wade we don't know wayne's going gonna actually play for that team next year or not but he's he's going to be living there so the banana boat buddies could hang out days or whatever and i don't know he was with a contender this past year that continuing at bhuttan booted in the first round who are you contending with this year i mean i guess he could come to the houston we've heard the rockets at loaded who soon will be the best team that he could join that makes sense but it's still gonna fit though i as a fit form and again it the only way that works for me rachel is that he really has to take a seat and say okay listen i'm not going to be the man anymore i'm going to be the second third fourth option at times i'm not going like a meets it i'm not going to get as many touches as i'm used to getting nephews willing to accept that role and just say listen i just want to focus in on winning right and in houston would be the best place for him he wasn't really willing to do that with like i said if he's willing to accept the role and change his mindset then that's a good place for the second game of our triple header coming up today is going to include number one overall pick deandra and making his debut with the phoenix suns seven foot one teenager average over twenty and eleven in his one year at arizona byran what do you expect from this young man listen if i'm andrei my expectations coming in if i'm the number one pick and dominated the way he was able to dominate some times in the college level is to be number one rookie of the year and to get this team to improve fifteen to twenty games if he can do those things it's been very very successful season for not only him but the phoenix suns and i think if he doesn't then it's a bus as far as this year goes not saying he's a bus as a player that has to be his expectations coming into the season is the dominate as a freshman we haven't seen the freshman as a rookie we haven't seen a rookie really dominate at that position in a long time and it might have been the the last person did that there's probably shack tim hart tim dunkin right one of those two so if he wants to be put in that type of you know atmosphere stars as far as great players he has to come in and make his self well known right away you know about those guys had a good point guard on the ball that's hard for bigs in this league because you've got to rely on someone that gives you the ball he's traditional big he's not like ben simmons bringing the ball up the court so for him you can only control you can control run the floor hard roll hard are pick and rolls liebau nd defense and and finish you dunk on everybody somebody's every single moment but beyond that it's hard because we gotta rely rely on someone else getting the ball but you look at that phoenix suns seen they don't really have an answer the point guard position you got brandon knight who's been gone for a long time with a with a knee injury you've got the french gator there drive these young he's a rookie so it's it's still kind of a murky situation and you got devon booker who doesn't wanna fight boy guard right right but if they can get anybody just someone with a little bit of experience who knows what they're doing out there i think it'll help him out tremendously i heard i heard from andhra eight and that he thinks he and book are going to be shacking kobe two point oh so i'm waiting for that all right yeah that's a.
