"Five AM seven fifty WSB. I'm Dave acre Tim Andrews is also with us as a Smilin' Mark McKay. Thanks, dave. And we are covered. We're covered all over Super Bowl Sunday. Every angle we will pick it up now with WSB's Super Bowl analyst former UGA placekicker Super Bowl champion with the Chicago Bears. Good morning. Kevin butler. Good morning. How are you? All this morning. We're doing great really I think we can give them more than analysts and sees the only guy that ever worked for Cox broadcasting actually played in a Super Bowl he can be a little more than just analysts. Canny he's he knows done that. That's why you're hosting. Go ahead editorial editorial comment noted as you were. Well, you're you're you lose you use the term football player loosely since I'm a kicker, so I'm kinda half in the door half out the door on that. Tell me what these players that are playing in today's game at Mercedes Benz stadium going through right now. Kevin. Well, I think are first of all they're excited. It is finally here. Put a lot of preparation into it. They put a lot of time and effort into preparing for each team. And now it's finally here, and you kinda just have to kind of throw yourself down, and and really stay on a routine schedule. So you really don't wear yourself out with the patient and the excitement, you know, that Drennan can get you. And you know, you have to wait around for eight hours since you wake up, you you might have a meeting here or there. But for the most part it's up to each individual to manage their own emotions and their own excitement today to try to make it peak right around six forty tonight was last night a night where you tossing and turning like it's the night before Christmas in you're a little kid or can you just hop back into sack at ten thirty eleven o'clock, and you just a solid nine hours. Maybe not even awake yet. You know, what I think it's really up to the individual. It's a great question because some guys really did, you know, you you hear the routines that players have and pre games. I think every team out there has that one line. That has to go into the bathroom and throw. So that's just his routine, and nobody feels good until you hear about. Oh, yeah. He did it. So we're all good. But if he doesn't do it, then, you know, somebody's not ready. So those routines are really individuals and how they get ready myself. Personally, you know, I was able to get a good night's sleep. I go over my head situations to try to make myself feel comfortable if that situation comes up the next day, and for kicker, you're out there. You're thinking about that last second kick obviously in a big game like this. But more important if you just trying to be fundamentally sound, so when you go out there this is a game where you really wanna score yourself faster and check off every box and get that that perfect game. And that sometimes can make the difference in how the player performs, you know, he might be able to try to do that. But sometimes you do it too hard. And then you make those mistakes. I'm from thinking too much. So all the fake in preparation has gone on up. So now you really want everybody to go in the game. And react if you can react to what you've been training yourself for usually have some pretty solid results. What do you have to eat when you're playing in the Super Bowl, and you have all day ahead of you before kick-off? Can you can you eat or you too nervous to have a big meal for breakfast? No, I think they have the breakfast, and they have a lunch and then they'll have a pre game. So it gives that player, you know, time to to keep this body energy up keeps himself fueled. He might have a lighter breakfast a little bit more for lunch. And then try to, you know, just get themselves fol in a healthy way with fruits and fluids and everything closer to the game. But I think the days of when we were there, you know, it was always a steak or chicken. You know, some bacon. I'd say they stay away from that. Now, I don't I don't think that too many of the nutritionist hold the job that held them when I was back. Then you're out baking, you're out. This isn't really a Super Bowl question is they're eating going on during the game that we never get to see our guys sitting there under the big coat on the bench warmer with a hotdog chicken sandwich. That's funny. You say that you know, when when we played in it, we were I think twenty three to three at half. And then we kind of when I got bigger and bigger and some guys work grabbing hotdogs because they knew they weren't going back yet. From the stands behind us. You know, we can get crazy if the game gets out of hand, but other than that, you know. Some guys might do, you know, energy bar or something like that? But I I think that really falls down if somebody who's had some maybe some issues during the week citing flu not feeling good. Usually when you get in the game, you're processing the energy, and you're not really putting it in. It's just those fluids. You try to get in news ninety five five AM seven fifty WSB. It's WSB Fifty-three warming you up to the big game. We are on with our Super Bowl supremo better. Dave. Supremo's canada. And that's more of a soccer word Super Bowl champion. Superbowl champion, Kevin Butler. Smilin' Mark McKay. Dave Baker and Tim Andrews, Kevin tell me about the match up on the surface. The patriots have the experience the Rams and the new kids on the block. How will this play out? Yeah. You don't wanna take that experience is really the key. That's really what distinguished you see suit teams. Both of them have explosive running games. Both of them have the capability a quarterback to you know, make the big play keep their calm make the right pass at a very accurate pass. And then when you start to look at what the difference in these two teams, are it really is experience. And I think in a game. Like, this the experience really can't be the factor that makes the difference. And because of as we've just been talking about, you know, how do you control your emotions on a day like today? Well, the patch certainly don't to do that. They've they've been to the last three Super Bowl. So the nucleus of that team certainly understands and can lead that team down the right road to manage those feelings. But you know, you've got a team in the Rams that has experience. But you know, they are. Excited team. The first time they've been there. Too long time you got a young team. You've got some superstars on the defensive front. These guys have really got to control their expectations and keep it within themselves. You know, play within the circle around you. And what I mean by that is when you go out there understand your your position and your responsibilities and just do that anything else after you take care of your your position and your responsibilities then you can go make a make a system of tackle. You think you've got to make sure you're doing your job? And I just think that's where New England really might be able to take advantage of this younger ram team. But being younger they going to be looser perhaps into the patriots pay play tighter with the expectations on them. You know, what I don't think? So I don't think that I think McVeigh has them playing with a certain level of excitement that is controllable. Now, it's up to the Rams to make sure that they do control those feelings, you know, the last time the bears rent it down in Miami. And Devin Hester ran back the opening kickoff, and you know, being down on the sideline at that point. You saw the team just got so excited. So jacked up everybody's jumping around and it and it went on for three or four series. And all of a sudden, I think they had a lull it came back down. So that's the kind of management you really need to have good things happen in the beginning. Don't get too high. If bad things happened in the beginning don't get too low understand it's a fourth quarter game. And really I don't know of anybody better than Tom Brady in those last three minutes believing in executing like he does to win a game. And those are the little things you look. Toward a big big game like this. So even if you get up say twenty eight to three you don't wanna lay back and go. Oh, we got. We got this note. No worries. Yeah. Yeah. Well, we learned that didn't we forgot about that? If you were to win the coin when we were up twenty three to three and New Orleans some thirty three years ago, we talked about and we were dead set on going back out there and just putting your your foot on their throat, choke them out. And that's exactly what you really have to do. Don't give them any little thing turnover here there come out, and you just play a little bit lax at that point. If you get a lead in this game. And you're the Rams and you're leading the patriots at halftime. I would come in turn on the total vision and run the replay. Unfortunately. This can happen. If you lose focus don't lose focus, keep the pedal to the metal. And I think for both of these teams, I think that's how you have to beat these teams you you can't let these teams hang till the end. We know what the patriots do if you let them hang to the end. We are not quite sure we believe we know what the Rams can do at the end certainly if they get in field goal position. Greg's is as good as it gets very strongly. So if you hit that forty yard line now you're in field goal range today. And I think you'll see some big long field goals today from both of these kickers because they have the ability to do it and to that's just how the teams react if they get a chance to put poetry on the board. They're gonna do it. They trust their defense to clean up if something bad happens, and they're playing inside which has got to be a kickers paradise. Yeah. I didn't get to play inside enough in my career. So. Hey, you know, today would be a perfect day to play outside is certainly nothing wrong with that. Maybe we'll see that roof opened a little bit tonight. I think it would be exciting. You know, this you know, besides the game. I think Atlanta has just knocked it out of the ballpark this week with just a hospitality for everybody the events that have going on has been a spectacular week. And and this is really the the coalition of as we heard a lot of preparation a lot of focus by a lot of different agencies and individuals and Atlanta should be very proud of the Super Bowl. And let's see how this game ends up today. Kevin Butler are Super Bowl analysts who do you like in a game today? You like who do you think is gonna win? I I do you know when you talk about jobs thoroughly check Mesa, David Andrews upfront. I think that gives even against, you know, Donald shoe, and and Eric days, Aaron, Donald I think you're gonna see a pay Patrick paycheck. Excuse me, the pats. Out there and really establish that that ground game and start to eat up the clock. And you know, they they did it against Kansas City. I think they went down to like an eight minute drive to begin the game that probably could be the biggest damage at this Rams team. Sees that's worth the experience as I said, don't let the lows get too low. I with the highest get too high. And the patriots seem to be able to come out and set the pace of the game. So I think with those three guys up front it's to be a great battle with the defensive line. But beyond those three guys in the in the middle, you're tackles. I think you're gonna see Sony. Michelle have a big day. And I think whites going to have a big day not only off the tackles running the ball. But those little passes out to the flat. That's really where the damage is going to be done. So I think the patriots are gonna win one. I think thirty one nineteen is what I'm looking at last and most important question. Kevin is winner Super Bowl contenders. Going to start recording novelty songs again. We did a pretty good job on it. But yeah, there's a couple of teams that tried to do it afterwards on the giants their that was awful. It didn't it didn't go over. So. Well, and neither did might I add when the bears did the Super Bowl shuffle about thirty years later. We really confirmed that none of them have any rhythm at that point. Suspected before that confirmed it is confirmed now so that that was quite quite the team quite the atmosphere, and you.

"Tim andrews. I don't know what he's talking about. What over my head? So. Yeah, probably you're right. Two days before the election. Thank you. Welcome to get a beer. I might know by November four th which is what I was getting at. That's my birthday. How do you know? How do you know there's such a fine line here? You're not going to vote for Mets, and we met Stacey Abrams a few weeks ago seemed like a very nice person. I don't dig the policies. I'm not rejecting her as a person, I'm not saying anything bad about. I'm just saying I don't like those policies, and I'm not a fan of that. So but in in reality, I could either vote for the libertarian candidate just to keep libertarians on the ballot for some unknown reason perhaps at some point they'll decide to try to actually win that vote for stay. She Abram could be but turning toward Brian Kemp. Which if I vote for Brian camp, it won't be like wholeheartedly. I like guys who point shotguns at teenagers kind of thing. He wrote into the are just like, you know, less taxes, you know, basically generalize. But I gotta tell you this Brian Kemp is running. I it's like no campaign walking through this. Expecting the ad blitz to start at any time. He's going to have an maybe the whole thing is to just drop a lot of money in the last week or two pass, which might be the smart thing to do. Because there's a lot of national money coming in from the Democrats. I'm not so sure there's a lot of national money coming into the Republicans is there. No there probably should be because they could lose. A red state to states could go blue as far as governors go Georgia and Florida right here on you know. Right here at the bottom of the she brings that enough voters than the house could go purple. That's another one that's another one. If you get a Brian. Kemp could hurt candidates lower down on the ballot. If if people aren't excited about him, and they don't go out if people get excited about Stacey Abrams. You know, there's the historical part. Yeah. It doesn't mean. Anything to me? This is America. I assume leaders are gonna come in varieties and flavors in America. But it's history. If she's the first African American not only African American governor, but female. And the same things going on in Florida. And so you've got a lot of lot of blue money coming into the state. If people go out because they're excited about the idea of Stacey Abrams. Yeah. While they're there. They're not gonna vote for Republicans for the house as long as the democrat. So and that candidate that the Republicans have in Florida in very good. Oh, yeah. He seems to not know what he's doing now. This is the worst two Republican gubernatorial candidates ever in these two states. I mean, you've got to people. I don't know. Stacey Abrams is being smarter. She's not running around calling yourself associate right, but Gillam, I don't think he's got Bernie Sanders is coming in his Bernie come in for Stacy Elizabeth exorbitant Warren was here. I don't think Sanders has been in the state. You know, did Warren do the old the spit test while she say here that she submitted it, I didn't realize this yesterday. But she submitted her saliva to be tested for native American origins here in the state of Georgia. Really? I wonder if it was while maybe after she was over there at Clayton state a bit. Oh, yeah. Nothing is the audience going like a q tip..

Yes. And I don't know she was showing off for our digital director or whatever. But still got it. Oh, yeah. Monica. Monica kaufman. Still got it. What's Pilates and yoga? I dunno. Tim Andrews defa, tell me I have no idea. I don't know the difference. That's what she was doing. He's just. No, okay. So she said, I'm doing, okay. See Monica Kaufman, still there's my Georgia news, Jared Yahuda, Monica Kaufman, still doing things in these poses. And these things I can't do that. And here, I am you could if you worked at it. Those first couple of months will be rough you getting back into working out. Yeah. You know, how people say the embrace the grind. Yeah. Yeah. That's nothing. I would ever do if you win the lottery tonight, you can hire your own personal yoga coach and ignore that person that would be a waste of money slept in two things that you're not. Eric would need like a cross fit trainer. He would need somebody to the max. Doing that. Rather than embracing the grind, I've decided to accept the inevitability of death. That's been my, you know, you're going to do one or the other. I'm just crossing my fingers left got I don't know twenty twenty five years left. How long does a pair of sneakers last year? He think maybe four or five years me. Yeah. Strangely enough. I go through shoes. I don't know. Why I got big feet. That's true. Let's. I know. They say big hands big nose. Yeah. Big feet. Right. Big personality. You got a get some Georgia status. I worry we bring Ottoman just because I know I know that she's waiting so much to hear the autumn. Joining us I'm here. She me could not wait to hear the story. Because channel two and WSB radio will host a debate. It's nice. I happen to know for a faction care about this story. This is again, another one on your attempts to segue everything about this gubernatorial obey. She wants to come to come one second. Here. We gotta do some radio classes here. Tim. A sag doesn't mean that you push things together that don't belong together. A sag means that there are natural overlaps in conversations are topics you pull them together. But you don't just have to say nonsense. Oh, autumn's wading through this just say Eric autumn's with us. And then give me your damn story. I know I can't believe that. You would shame automated not show any interest in the Georgia governor's race at all u Z in touch very in touch. She is twenty pages into our history book. Okay. How dare you? Save her. All right. I say it was a big Jared fail. Move do and WSB radio. That's a we're on. Well. Yeah. I had no idea. I thought it was we worked for WS pop out of here. Duped. Go ahead. We're gonna co lab and host the debate between gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, Brian Kemp, and surprisingly the libertarian Ted Mets. Ted mad all on November. Finally, I am a libertarian and I'm going to have to turn on. Usually. I always listen to the radio for sports in politics. Because to me television is nothing more than radio with pictures court believes that. I like the the theater of the mind, but I think we'll have to glimpse in briefly on the channel too. Because for the first time, I'll know what the libertarian candidate looks like I'm a libertarian. I have no idea what this guy looks like we will stream it on WSB radio. Tim, Tim Andrews. Sean told me he says beautiful jowls. Yeah, they're very low. I don't know what that means. It's nice because we didn't have a candidate with jowls. And and now that we have used to have more candidates with jails in this country, and it seems have gone away. I think it was it was a sign of the stock rec-. Yes. From the old English days. People have big old like the candidates like Ted Kennedy. Maybe he's guys named Ted. I dunno learning. I read his platform yesterday. Seems like a decent candidates the libertarian platform, right? Yeah. I'm all for it. Too. Many didn't have a chance to win. Do you think November fourth is a little too close to election day because obviously we vote on Tuesday. Tuesdays. Today's. If you're not decided by that Sunday. And they say, and they say that it was very little well, that's his commentary..

"Loose lips sink ships and if your lips are. Loose in you're saying stupid racist, things then you're going to lose your job especially as a superintendent of a school he used I'm going to. Be calm about this Tim. Andrews if you. Know anything about me I do not pull out my. Race card a whole lot win the, rest of the world and everybody else one hundred thousand, everybody else ninety nine point nine percent of people are, pulling out the race. Card I generally don't pull my mine out but this time. He felt so comfortable just. Inward this an inward that in? In in in? In in in he felt so comfortable and I don't know if you agree with me or not I'm? Happy that he got how do you feel that comfortable how who who and then who were you talking to that you that you felt, that, comfortable talking. To them about. It I can guarantee you. Whoever, it was on? The other. Other end of that. Filtered governable when people talk like that and I experience it This day and. Age will experience people talking to me that way using those. Words and it's cringely it, makes my skin crawl because I? Don't feel that? Way so to know someone saying that word in an honorific way or or not joking around actually meaning? It actually mean how do you respond to you froze you not I don't know what to say because because I don't feel that way I'm not. Going to scold the person because it's not going to change their mind? Right and you, know it's. Not my job to go. Well you know what I don't think, you should use that word, I I don't. Think people would look at you if we, just, had a hidden camera and and Tim Andrew somebody saying to him you know what those in Israel's and where's that and you're just there how do you think everybody would view this of. Two minutes of you just sitting here just listen call me complicit and they I would be painted. With that brush, but she didn't say anything but you froze you. Just you just freeze when they say well I have my whole life I'm, when, I was in high school You know small Pennsylvania town we only had one black. Guy there and he was from Zimbabwe so you know you've heard stuff you've heard people would say things and I would just get up and, walk away from them because you know that wasn't in my brain right that that? Belief that you know what. I'm saying and let me clarify something I don't believe that if you use. The n. word that makes you. Racist I'm not one of those people I do not believe in can't be true because black people use it amongst each. Other. All the time in rap songs okay? So you're not racist against each other I think sometimes we, say something in a fit of anger whether it's something racist or think about how. Many people have, you had a camera if you're honest you had a, camera in your car and you're driving and somebody passes you and they're of a different race before I, don't think everybody does that everybody saying how do you think I think people do I think this is the benefit of the doubt that you're not a racist because. You say something racist. That's what I believe I believe this guy is just as free. As he used it I believe that he's a racist if I had, one hundred thousand dollars I put one hundred thousand dollars on it that, he was a racist, but just to clarify you're not a racist because you call. Somebody, a racist name well he was saying certain African Americans, were deadbeat and words and then he even said he wanted to kill black construction workers. Who had. Angered him that's ridiculous and he gets caught. And he gets fired I don't feel bad for him at all because they, let? The idiot resign right they let the idiot resigns which means he gets to. Keep all of his that's. Why I hate it that's. Why I hated that they. Let. The, idiot resign right? Well why shouldn't? He why shouldn't he I mean he before all that he. Worked all those years doesn't matter if, you worked all Tim Tim Andrews is trying. To get me going. I hear the music. I'm gonna come. Down I'm going Sunday Dear.

"Fastest growing radio show in america the doctrine airs are here man of a thousand voices tim andrews the always adorable and always entertaining autumn fisher and the handsomest producer in all the producer jerry della moto lot going on so let's do this headline the bed and had a very rough week stepped down from good good by the way that's me laughing because what's it called freud insider shied shot freud shot in freud was the was the musical team thought shot and fraud yeah they're a great 80 western i mean would've shot and freud mean means you take pleasure in somebody else's pain xactly and i don't i don't indulge in that all that much but i guess some schadenfreude or when it comes to peace he was steve bad and who i have been trying to tell my audience and with a lot of push back is a charlatan for the last couple of years go ahead what happened to be a brick through the piano fall on them on that is what may well have i he it did i laugh he stepped he stepped down from bright part news and sat down a little bit she stepped out down was forced out and he found out that he wasn't going to be doing his serious exit of radio shows from his radio show you think he's angry about that without the fifteen listeners laughter canceling now yeah so he's lost you know this guy didn't realize that he he wasn't it he wasn't he wasn't thing this is what i am culture is about to find out other she's in a different situation she just have to return to write books right but they all think it's about them they think that trump came along and took their ideas and the reason that he was propelled forward is because he took their eye ideas out to the big stage trump is a cult of personality as far as trump's people are concerned he can do just about anything and i think trump starting to realize that now i think yesterday we saw the beginning of.
