Here are the best video streaming service for you
"So before we get specific services. Can you talk about how you assess them. And what the process look like to you. Know to kind of measure which is better. Just sit around and watch a whole lot of video online. That seems like a pretty good gig. I mean definitely part of the job Well i reviewed almost every streaming service of this type available. And the way i do is i keep each one score based on four different categories. So you have design. Which is things like ease of use across the different tv and mobile platforms. That you're watching on then there's features like does it have four k. Hdr does offer mobile downloads. Watchlist and how many are you allowed to have that. We look at the content. Like the number of shows in the quality of its originals. In helping the back catalogue is and finally the value which is just the price compared to all these other factors so together that gives us a pretty comprehensive picture of what these services look like and how they can compare each other. So that's that's a lot to work with so after crunching the numbers and all those different metrics what was the best overall streaming service. Well unsurprisingly netflix takes the crown for the best streaming service overall. It's the oldest one on the list. I'm sure you remember the days of ordering dvd's by mail which started back in one thousand nine hundred eighty eight if you can believe it and since then it's really evolved into this top tier service. That's just a must have for a lot of people. It's got this huge back catalogue of older shows to binge. Also tons of originals movies documentaries comedy specials everything and not all are super high quality below a little bit more quite good and have won awards and especially during the pandemic. They've just given us all something to watch together rally around. We had the tiger king phase. In the queen's gambit is kind of a closest we've got to a water cooler

The 5 biggest Netflix original series have been revealed
"Netflix. Says these are it's five most-watched original series now. This one is weird to me because we were talking the other day about mandalorian. How it's a real flagship series for disney. Plus it's generated subscribers and big budget and all the rest and we were curious where like we'll netflix's has been around for a while. What is their flagship stuff. And so i. I thought of stranger things i also thought about some of the money. They paid for a lot of those comedy specials I wasn't the the escobar show. What was that called. What norcal narcos was that. Another one yes. Ozark is very good. Okay oh sorry anyway. They've done them as done them. But i saw this list and this list kind of surprise a lot of shows. I never watched or heard of for their top five. Most watched shows and well some of them are recent. Which kind of explains you know. Maybe i'm not necessarily watching him. So some of them are recent but number of coming in at number five with sixty three million viewers by the way in order to be viewer. Show on netflix. All used to do is watch two minutes really just so you know that's the threshold while two minutes which for a series. It's kinda crazy to say you watch the series if you only watch two minutes. But that's the metric that they're using they They got this deal With the former the former producer maker of grey's anatomy scandal. What is her name. Rhymes shonda shonda rhimes. Anyway they produce this show. Renton and sixty. Three million people watched it came out recently. And never heard of yeah. See you've never heard of it. I've never i mean. I don't think it's targeted at us. By the way if you scroll down a little bit oh we don't see image for some reason but if you did see the image you would know it is not targeted at you. Okay and then you go or maybe you feel that that's targeted at you. Don't alley brought from sean to land. Who brought you grazing so her. Production companies called sean dillon. She signed one hundred. Fifty million dollar deal with netflix to make some content and this is one of them. That's coming in number filing number four tiger king. This one i heard of but i never watched. Did you watch that. no i'm with you. I've heard many things about it. Good and bad. So when i saw this have a big number for viewership coming in at number four. I believed it. Because i heard the chatter on social media right around the time. When a lockdown lifestyle was taking off it was a lot of tiger king talk. So i i understand that one. Go number three number three stranger things. That's the other one that i had heard about seeing some of the promotions. Seizing three was the top of the bunch. Sixty four million you can see. Some of these are pretty close. Scroll down to number two this one money heist which is a translation. This was a spanish show that i sure you've never heard of but huge in the spanish speaking world is it. Yeah i've seen The hero image on netflix But i haven't watched it. Yeah i guess it would be subtitles if you watched it. Yeah yeah and then coming. In at number one. The witcher seventy six million. Did you know this. Did you watch this I believe this was a really popular show. I have not watched it yet. You see that's going though to lot of. We did not watch it and we're netflix subscribers. So it's kind of. It's a bit interesting. Yeah but we don't watch anything really. I don't watch enough stuff to even say. Maybe this stuff is amazing. But if you ever if you were curious like what are the statistics of a popular show on netflix. This should give you an idea. Between sixty and eighty million between sixty and eighty million viewers is a hit considered a hit original for net flicks. I'd be curious what the mandalorian pulled off. Because i feel like there's a different level that's why i feel like is a big threat to netflix's model the disney's powerhouse in
How streaming services and COVID-19 upended Hollywood
"Coronavirus is up ended. A lot of things about our lives but few industries has seen as drastic a change as the entertainment business with the ride streaming services and social begging the question. What happens the movie theaters a broader. Chang this is your daily charge joining us way to this. Transformation is our media expert johnson. Welcome john so let's start with a recap of the year. We saw the launch the number of streaming services peacock. Hbo max and then of course stalwarts like netflix. Continue to dominate. Pop culture with shows like tiger king in queen's gambit. How did the so-called street war shakeout in twenty twenty. We saw breakaway successes and truly epic failures over the course of the last year among all the new services that launched in the last fourteen months or so nothing compares to disney plus the subscribers that a service brings in that's the currency of success for streaming services. And no matter how you look at it. Disney plus blew away all other new competitors completely out of the water disney hoped to have between sixty million and ninety million subscribers within five years and it nearly hit the top of that. Its most obstacle optimistic expectation at nearly beat that within one year not five. It's at eighty six point eight million subscribers at the end of its first year and then on the flip side you had these failures quickly. Which entered twenty twenty swinging it was booking super bowl commercials. It was making it rain. All over hollywood paying stars tons of money to make these short form Cereal movies and chapters and Daily essentials and other things that if you could see me i'm making all these little air quotes but it totally flopped and it announced that it was completely shutting down just seven months after launching. So we've seen some really legendary story play out in the streaming world this year definitely and in between though we had a couple of those services. Hbo max peacock which all launched as well and lose a little bit quieter for them up until the end of the hbo. Max how did those two services fair out when they were they launched didn't do as well as disney plus but nothing has done is walls just pause. You really. nothing else compares to what they've been doing you know if if disney plus had it had the insane year that it did their launches would look you know pretty good all right. Hbo max is at you know. I have to check the numbers. But it's at i think. Eight point six million accounts and peacock has more than that because he got chasm free tier. Hbo max you have to pay fifteen dollars a month to access it or b a each b. o. l. subscriber That has a deal with. Hbo backs in order to get it. But the point is you know. They're doing fine sean. It's compared to a truly extraordinary. Unexpected success like disney plus that. It looks like they're really doing poorly and to be fair to you know. Hbo max with its high price. Point the fact that the fact that it was kind of a Confusing proposition two people and The fact that it wasn't on roku or fire tv the two most popular devices for months that also crimped it in particular its appeal. you know. They're like thirty some million people that can have. Hbo max basically for free because they are. They're already paying for hbo and of those were at or still at below ten million accounts. Right we are back so it's definitely struggled in some senses yet. It will disney plus held by a number of big cultural milestones the hamilton earlier this year. Of course mandalorian is back more baby love even new law which at that dollar premium charged pretty well. Hbo max is poised to have its potential big moment tomorrow with the release of what am nine hundred eighty four. I'm curious what you think. The impact is there and as we sort of look for. You know how that's going to help set the way movies are released. Well it cer- certainly gonna superchargers interest in hbo coupled with the fact that it max not only is releasing wonder woman On christmas day the same day that it's available to see in theaters on those that are open It's also making it. Its entire slate. The warner brothers. Entire slate of movies for the entirety of next year are going to be released the same way where there. It's available to stream on. Hbo max the same day. It's in theaters for a period of one month. So people have one month to to sign up for talks log into it if you already have. It watched like some of the you know wonder woman. Nineteen eighty-four dude matrix. Four tons of like huge movies and smaller ones that are also heading to spin. It looks like that's ever happened before people are really excited about it. It's gonna supercharge interest in the streaming service. But it also means that you know. It's kind of a crossing of the rubicon For decades theaters have had a seventy at least seventy five days where they get exclusive access to new movies and of course during the pandemic with these widespread theater closures senate as being closed a lot of companies have tried to figure out. How can you can't have a seventy five day window or something is only in theaters. When there aren't any theatres open and the ones that are people. Don't feel safe going to so we've seen a lot of experimentation about. What do we do in this situation. But this move by warner brothers. Hbo max are. They're making so many of these really big budget movies available. What's known as day and date or it's available for home video streaming the same day that it's in theaters. That's that's a point of no return like things are never. They might not look exactly like that once. The coronavirus and the pandemic are in our rear view window. But it's never going to be theaters and the transit. Never going to be exactly the same again. So the reaction will imagine for folks out there who are locked down this is. This is good news but not everyone has created this with open arms. Right number of directors filmmakers actors have been up in arms. Or who's been sort of speaking out against this. Practice will certainly christopher nolan. Who is a longtime warner brothers director. He's bamed all of his big films with warner brothers and most recently His tenant was released by warner brothers and not partly led to this decision. That warner brothers needed to figure out something other than purely theatrical premieres for films tenant was released it did tentative fine overseas it did reasonably well but in the us tanks. Like i he nolan is is a faint is fame Famously defensive of the theatrical experience. He's one of those ought autour filmmakers who treasures that big dark room and the hush crowd gasping all the same time like. That's that's is cocaine or whatever and he didn't want to give that up and they didn't make him and they released tenet where it had an exclusive period in theaters and it s than sixty million dollars at the box office. That you know. It's standard for one of his movies to make one hundred million plus in the us at the box office so the fact that they saw that it's just not tenable Just not tenable to have this sort of theatrical this preciousness around theatrical release at least during the pandemic they went a different route they. There's is the most extreme that any studio has announced so far a lot of other studios are trying to be a little more compromising and their decision was made largely without consultation with filmmakers. Which you know. It's one thing to up end. These long held norms. Some of which a lot of filmmakers really treasure like christopher nolan really treasures this theatrical the experience and protecting it but it's not always it's it's the medium not the message sometimes in the fact that they sort of dropped this bomb on these people without with wonder woman. There's a lot of consultation with those filmmakers but the entire slate like they couldn't reach out because people talk in hollywood if they reached out to some people get all over town so they basically maybe with a little bit of notice tried to get it out to some people but essentially shut. Drop this bomb on the filmmaker community and that in addition to the fact that it was such a dramatic change from what's baked into contracts and what people expected is it led to a really huge backlash and we're going to see if they're going to get sued or get sued. You might have to walk back many things. They might have to take something that were on the two thousand twenty one slate off the twenty twenty one slates and they don't fall under this so called hybrid strategy. That's something we're going to play out next year. Well curious if this is a a one off thing or is this this pandemic related that twenty one is like twenty twenty a bit of a lost year as be struggled to kind of get back enormously but once you get past it go back to normal. You mentioned the crossing the rubicon. How do you think things the changes that were saying. Now my kind of play out the long term or will there be more of a hybrid approach like what one of the things look like once we get to some semblance of normalcy again. It's never going back to the way. It was like the way the seventy five day ninety day window. That theaters get new movies. That's not coming back even after the pandemic because i think consumers for a really long time have wanted more options. Especially i mean. Young consumers don't understand even older consumers. Don't understand why you have to wait that long to choose where you get to watch your movie you know. Like the seventy five and ninety day window and theater followed by the dvd followed by online vod online rentals followed by a pay one window followed by a pay to win. Like there's going it's going to change but we can say for sure. Theaters are not going to be able to count on that sort of cushion. Seventy five day to ninety day window getting all new movies. They can't count on that because too many of these studios are owned by media companies that are also launching streaming services. I'm really want them to succeed. It's not just warner brothers on by. At and t. and also owns hbo. Max that is playing and experimenting with these new formats like you mentioned milan. That's disney disney decided disney of all studios. They build their franchises on theatrical release. That means a lots of them. But they're still even toying with things like you said they released hamilton which is supposed to be a big screen movie. Next year they released it more than a year in advance and put a totally free on disney plus for their big budget stuff. They're putting it on disney plus with this. What's not calling premier access which is basically when you pay a thirty dollar extra fee and you get movies like milan that you can stream day and date same day as in theaters next year. They're going to do that with riot. Dragon but even with dizzy. They've said they haven't defined what they're gonna do with marvel movies. It looks like they're gonna give marvel movies. Which are you know. Some of their biggest blockbusters that they still have on the slate coming up. They're going to give them some time in the theaters because they know how important that is to building a franchise having that sort of mythic proportion in a theater is really important to a marvel movie whether or not black widow comes to streaming a lot earlier than it would have before in previous you know. In the olden days. A year ago it would've taken about six months to nine months for any theatrical disney movie to make the disney plus. Maybe that'll shrink. What we do know is that theaters are not going to be able to count on a seventy five day. Window consumers are going to have a lot more options about win and where they get to watch new movies and the theatrical spirits is going to have to change you know without having that really special treatment that kid gloves treatment of getting seventy five day window. You're going to see theaters having to adapt offering more food upgrading. The experience of going there They're gonna have to experiment with a lot of different payment models even maybe The point is movie. Theaters haven't really had to adapt or innovate for decades. Because i've had this protected window and that protected window is going to change. But it's never coming back the way it was and the theater. Experience is going to change too so that change is thrust upon them and they're forced to adapt. Do you think theaters are doomed to failure are they are they they are they screwed ultimately. Because i frankly i missed the theater experience but i can't see myself going back for while and so we'll we'll theater survive long enough to be able to adapt and change. Yeah the are going to survive like they just won't be as many and they won't look the same as they did. Which you know a natural thing movies have been around cinemas have been around for a really long time. It's one of. Its basically the first mass mass visual audio visual media You don't have theaters like the depression-era people's palaces anymore. we don't go to theaters. That look like someplace that would have a metropolitan opera in. That's what happened in the twenties thirties. We don't have that anymore because things change television happened. So that's going to be another change but what you're gonna see the the gigantic megaplexes. Amc's the cinemark probably going to get smaller because they can't if you don't have that exclusive access to something that people can choose whether or not they're watching it on that big screen or watching on their home screen where people are going to be able to. They're going to choose to watch it on their home screen and so you don't just need as many movie screens in america anymore. So we're going to see theaters close. We might see some chains completely. Go out of business. The thing that will be interesting to see is how smaller chains mom-and-pop theaters you know the local art house theater. The smaller chains like alamo draft house. We're already seeing that. Those are those are the theaters in cinemas that are more likely to adopt because they don't have a sort of mcdonald's mass market Happy meal mentality. they're catering to a local community. They're more likely to know the sort of things that would bring people into their theater if it's more than just movies it's easier for them to pivot in. Adopting alamo draft house was one of the first chains so to speak. That offered this rent a whole theater option. Which has become more popular during the pandemic instead of having to spend three hundred to a thousand two more dollars to rent entire theater. It's like look we can't can barely show this to people because of restrictions. Why don't you rent the theater for a hundred bucks and you can bring fifteen of your closest friends and you can all like sit apart from each other and you can be pretty confident that we're going to be sanitizing it because we don't or trying to stuff seats because we have to stuff seats. They were the first ones to innovate in that sense. And we start to adopt adapt that model so no like theaters. Theaters aren't going to die. They're just gonna look a lot different in the future
Joe Exotic wrote Kim Kardashian a letter begging her to ask Trump to pardon him
"Joe exotic had written to kim kardashian. And i'm totally not surprised and i honestly thought that that would be his tactic to try to get out of jail honestly. Didn't we say that before. Like didn't we say how funny would be if that happened and then it actually happened. I feel like we did. I feel like we talked about it. And then when i was watching it it's like deja vu right like i was sitting here watching and i was like. Oh wow i feel like dougherty happened in life right. we did. She say that it happened or it came. How how did you find out. Yeah so it was on. Et and it just was saying that Et had obtained the letter from the tiger king and that He had just to her trying to get a presidential pardon from donald trump. And and the letter said i know you have never met me. Never want to but i do believe However i do believe that you hold the values of our justice system dear to your heart. I am writing this letter. Not as joe exotic but the person. Joseph malegaon passage asking you to please help me by taking just ten minutes of your life and placing a call to president trump to look at my two hundred and fifty seven page pardon. It's all the evidence that i'm innocent and i asked him to my part into. I can return home to my husband dylan and to my father so okay question i. It's been so long since i've seen it all. What is he exactly in jail for. I don't know abuse. Because i feel like what he did was kind of animal abuse. It definitely was neglect and Yeah it just says that. While he was serving he serving twenty two years because he was convicted of plotting like a murder for hire. Oh right that's right that's right okay. And so then it said in his letter is that i have lost. Fifty seven years of work mizzou. My animals. my mother has died. My dad is dying. And i've been taken away from my husband who i loved dearly. Everyone is so busy making movies getting interviews selling stuff and dressing up like me that everyone forgot. I'm a real live person imprisoned and kept from even telling my own my own story for something that i didn't do so he was just asking him to give him a phone call and just promising that no one has to know that she even called
"tiger kings" Discussed on Threedom
"Up was a landlord whole weirdo. Moreover he's you then department. I got a car to avoid basically figured out how car trouble way. So she she got to do a dispute with her landlord over deposit or something like that. Where we're landlord wasn't gonna give her the deposit back. She was oded. Or whatever kula no no no but so so. I said you know what i'm gonna call her but i'm going to tape record the conversation so that we have it in case anything goes weird but i what i found was i said oh. Hey by the way. I'm tape recording this conversation. And she was so nervous she went Yeah okay. I am too that she that totally resolved the situation. How oh my god tactic. Yeah and so. It's a really good tactic if you're ever dispute to go like oh by the way. I'm tape recording this conversation. Just for you know it really shows. You feel pretty confident. You're right. yeah yeah yeah yeah. Yeah but not to get into the vowel. Ya boy lee. Bow basically falling into a hole in a weirdo happened to those people. I do. Kinda wanna watch. Seduced with stars heard the way better version of the vow which tells much more of the story but also kind of like. I don't really want to hear any more about this. This this and tiger king are things. I feel like i would much rather know that people are talking about it than watch it. I wish i had watch tiger king. I wish i could take that back. Yeah you can look man. We were run outside desperate for entertainment and normal word right there and it was what i'm not gonna watch but with the vowel. I sort of have this theory that because it came out if you will only watch the ball and that's only information you know. It came out that there is way worse stuff even that that this man has done. Well now he's in jail for life and it's very deserved but in the in the show he's recorded all the time and he's signed people record their tape-recording every conversation they have filming it. So there's tons of footage of him. Just waxing poetic. What it's fucking bullshit. I truly would be like you make no sense. There are so many times where someone could have easily challenged anything he was saying because but he claims to be the smartest person in the world like yours truly like he's delusional. But it's good for a documentary though to constantly be recording. Well but my point is that this should start doing this. Okay fine so we can. We get documentary about this. Honestly like i at a at a point on the comedy bang. Tv shows like this would making the show would be really fascinating we should. I wish we could hire accrue to like follow us around while we make episode or whatever to put it as an extra on one of the dvd's but like so but then bruce springsteen is constantly recording every aspect of his of maisy every watched his really good documentary letter to you about his new record. Spring she's listening. It was really good but it seems like every album. He's made the like a camera. Crew comes in and there's all this amazing food like you know. Oh from even the older even old sonson you know and it's like cheese. Just yeah anyway. Well i just wanted to say that. I felt like it might have been one of his manipulative tactics to record all a passable stuff. And i'm always on recording and then the second the cameras off he's literally having sex with children. It sound like giving more buying things that that lake. It's as if he's kind of set up to be like look. I'm an open book. I have a video of everything. I'm wrong and of course there's this really dark. Backstory white are the people who fell into a dumb like. Do they explain that. Or you got to watch this because like wh what's her name from smallville alison. She's off her rocker. Wow yeah so it's just a bunch of italy believes in the sense. She's in other words like like a lot of times. You feel bad for people like all limits ex exactly. They're all people who were in need of something and so they were susceptible to a cult. Which i i don't think that's like sided or something but i'm saying they get so it's a real there but for the grace of so swept in and swept up in it that they don't realize it's weird but i think one of the things that's weird but the vowel is that by the time it it. Is you know they realized how messed up. It was and all this stuff. They still think the colt stuff was good. They're still kind of going like with the teachings and all the things we learned and like these my sashes and it's like no no no it was all that yes well connected to the bat but if something makes someone feel better that part of it might be good. I mean you look at scientology like although we don't want to be talking about that probably on a recording i really haven't i don't really watch things or more any religion mormonism or system like people who like you know even like the long island medium where think oh. This makes me feel better. Therapy is kind of a different thing than those things. Although i will say that when in growing up i was thinking about this the other day that my parents like didn't believe in therapy and so when it looked like someone in my family needed it they were like well only if it's a christian therapist and and it's just like but now i think they would be like i. It's such a different time than one thousand nine hundred eighty five. I do think people. Nowadays i think. Oh yeah. I think it's the same you don't think was. I think it's pretty much the same except for phones maybe. Tv's are flatter. You'd have to admit miles away you have. We are nice around tv baby round witness. Why are they make spherical. Dvd's so you can watch it from anywhere in your room. That's what a flat one is. Talk flat the earth but you can watch a flat from anywhere in the rooms introduce you to the wall so triumph argue they look and see a flat screen tv from anywhere in the room where you can see it from behind from behind the wall. A sphere you could. I'm saying if you're like have you ever gone. You're gonna wall that. The tv is on to do something. And you can't share but i mean it's say sure like immature torture close to the wall. You have to go up and do a thing. I'm saying i can't see what happened to the show..

"Walmart. Basically this programs a capitalist pig nose in Canada at least look this up Walmart. Canada has committed his zero food. Waste by two thousand twenty five which is really soon and I was like. That's pretty cool. And so this is part of that program so in one way. They've committed to optimizing the way they order food and have food displayed and how it get like. They make sure that their numbers are perfect. So that they don't have that much food waste and then they have these food donation programs that basically unpurchased food. That's near expiring or can go to captive tigers. I guess they have different. Charitable groups or organizations says Walmart works to maximize its use and get food. That is still edible to people in places that need it. Most I mean that is not as obvious Walmart that you'd always have been. Yeah we don't necessarily need to clap because it's like they should have always doing nothing but they have donated three point three billion pounds of food since two thousand five so call so that is where this is coming from and I didn't WanNa laugh the fact that obviously the people they were eating because they obviously all talk about the issue was was the eating. I just think people who assume it's not employees kind of make it seem like it's sketchy there like. They ate it to save money but they also do a lot of things like eve will wrap this up but maybe we can end with the final episode that they released recently was I thought was so frustrating but they were talking about how like some of them were like. We were sober when they alluded to the fact that we were on math like look. That was a little bit. That guy was saying remember when they're like math teeth and they cut to the guy with not very many like in order for you as an audience member. It's alluding to the fact that he's probably on drugs but he was like I was sober for five years at that point like there's a lot of time in the documentary where I'm like. I could see that. They're alluding to things very cleverly with guns and stuff that's like that isn't something and they're like what we didn't say it and it is just like their word against the document but some of those cuts like even that like Walmart meeting. They cut back to this gross image of being balling truck with like blood and water and then cut to the pizza and the pizza. And you're like okay. Obviously you're trying to. That's like film making great emotional reaction but you're right like if he's not pretty sure one of the people was like and I'm pretty sure they might have put that in the pizza. They never yeah. It was in the. There's another world. Where like every like hippy? Dippy like us would be like we actually really want support this new pizza place because all the meat actually comes off. It is all about like the way that you spending than sometimes I really felt like that but Joel McHale. Who's like hosted? This reunion of those weird was so bad like when they email email when they talk to Jeff Lowe who grosses me out which one's the one who took over his like babysitter like for obvious literally proven domestic violence really like showing like kind of like a really gross treatment of women he just Kinda Bros. That within laughs with him. I'm like a convict. This guy is like if why are you looking so silly little the documentary by going like he's the FBI is investigating him and he's going to get what's coming and it's like it's this is like he's the bigger mastermind exactly and they were like you're literally like growing out. L. O. L. ING and it frustrated me because I was like okay. This documentary where I'm like. What was your point of view? This could be really problematic. Why was this? Why are you at the last minute? It's about tigers. It's like no no no. It's not about tigers especially like a reunion Bachelorette die and then he was like it was like Ararat Bachelor or Bachelorette either one. I've never watched it shows but like yeah I'll strike them then. It's just like it like editing and everything and then. Joel McHale laughing with them and be like. Oh you're famous now. What's it feel like this is bad? Yeah and in really a. I wonder if the director had a say in that because it actually took away from the documentary because it did exactly that it was like this further proves glorifying the fact that they've become famous from the documentary and is not actually giving me any follow up like I thought maybe it would touch more on. Oh this documentary was made in a year ago in our wanting to update people a little bit more. Joel McHale get like Barbara Walters question. Yeah I was just like Hillary and his like tone is so like. Hey what's up? Looked well welcome the worse like all celebrities. I was like ooh maybe the fact that it was like in quarantine didn't help but I think if that was done in studio I might even feel more weird because they would have had like tiger print like backdrops and they would`ve. It would've looked like the survivor reunion. One other thing I wanted to bring up about Carol Baskin so the woman you love. Why did we? I don't know lame drawn towards women and people would think that were drawn towards the game now because he wanted to kill someone. Yeah I know I didn't understand you. Supportive Carol Baskin is. That is that I don't know I'm like I'm so confused. I'm like everybody. We actually episode. And they're like no she literally killed. Her husband has proven and I was like her spirit her. It looked like the cages were bigger. Okay I look like an expansive backyard events on that I know anything about obviously. None of them are being graded. But actually no you need proper. Yeah she came out and said she felt massively betrayed by the documentary filmmaker call. I'M GONNA go volunteer. I'm kidding okay. Gosh I'm so annoyed that I had something else I wanted to bring up but just forgotten. I'm the end of the day you're rating out of ten for this documentary okay. Five five okay. So he's very entertaining. At the beginning I was having a lot of I did not know where it was going but then by the end of it I was like I could have done without that. I would also comment on the fact that yeah. I feel. You've never. You've never been into more recent genre of documentary film like making a murderer like making me go to sleep error. That was news watch. How many episodes did you watch? I tried I kept being like it's heavy into this. Didn't want millions of me. You started watching was thrown. Bhagwan called like the Religious Colin. Oh I like that one. You didn't finish it like I love. That was obsessed with it so I think this is John. Rub documentary which is kind of like the new era of documentary in this kind of entertainment world. Netflix documentary meets. Yeah or it just has a very specific style and it's very formatted and formulaic. I would give it. I think I'd give it a seven. I think maybe because it was over maybe if I had come across it before I knew it was so groundbreaking and so popular. I might have been like. This is insane. They just came across this. Which happened to me with that? I knew my friend said it was good. I don't know why can't think of the name but one the one with the religious called. Oh Yeah I know I. Can you know nation or something no country? I don't know and I would have given that a nine or ten. I loved that one I found it so fascinating so this one to me wasn't quite as fascinating but I still like it still very entertaining but I agree. It didn't really have a point of view or like Kinda like these mostly bad amble. Good tensions led to the increase in the tiger issue in America Anyway okay well then you guys are closing Tiger King Book Right now. It is literally like Harry Potter. One two three while it lasted. I'm glad we wash had fun. Oh One last point it was just too long. I think they could have put it into five episodes instead of seven. Speaking of long this might have been too long. We are GonNa go okay so you guys next time. Hash takes podcast..

"Today. We're talking about Tiger King Than Netflix documentary. We're going to use science and to explain why it might not have been the best documentary and we're also going to look at the ancient history of cats. Let's jump into cats the musical. Yeah we're not doing matt again. Engine history of that lady you know where I was always obsessed with like Egypt Sharon worship of cats and dogs and so I wasn't everyone. Didn't everyone go through their grades? Seven Egyptian phase. Yeah because it's so fascinating. It's such an interesting cultural reference or the mummy came out and we were all true scare. Also how's it going? We didn't say the high I'm high and actually I might have just confused because I said I actually. I'm greg and welcome back. This is going on over a month of quarantine for us. Thirty two of core core is gray. Walls are Malays of if you listen to the audio version of this podcast. You heard one last week. We didn't post one on Youtube because it was done months ago. With how big. If you're a youtube watcher go listen to. It was actually very interesting. I feel like there was a pep in our step in her voice while we certainly like the pandemic was looming. We definitely talked about it a lot. But yeah we know where it was now. I just want a really funny youtube sketch. That was this girl saying my telling my what was the name it was like telling my previous previous about the pandemic like explaining it. So it's like a girl from now looking talking to herself. Four months ago like little jokes like her being like. Oh God yeah like the Australian fires are definitely going on right now. It's going to be definitely define this year and she's like. Oh what the what that felt like such a big deal. But now we're all like definitely also really sad. We can't stop thinking about who change. That's definitely going to define this God in the war with Iran. Yeah there was a time when the twenty twenty issues and now yeah everyone's mean for war and wildfires like put this any worse and it's like both Don. I know like we need to stop saying that. Can this year yet anywheres? No it this year is this year. Is that noise from inception? That's like it's like this is all Christopher. Nolan's and Hans Zimmer. Okay NERD ALERT ON ZIMMER. Like invented that no he didn't invent it but he definitely popularized that in every movie every trailer. I started using that became such a trend. I wish that I had that on my phone. I could play it in public more often. Like if someone was arguing on this and just back. I'm going to remember subway. Peoplesoft use the subway. Just we are privileged to work at home and gone from Hong Kong. Like I imagine in. Many people aren't using the subway now though they must be much more empty than normal. Yeah you're you're like style using both still have to use it. It's just mean like many are not. It's definitely not as busy. You're doing okay Like we got a lot of responses about definitely doing an episode on mental health especially with relation to quarantine in south vice which we are working on. We're working on an episode right now. Call Your brain on quarantine podcast about it as well. It's very w I'd be like really can media trained also doing actually be like literally are I went went to Youtube and Tommy talked to them yet. But yeah there's not that much research on this type of quarantine and a lot of it is from Hong Kong from all these studies of people who have self isolated or gone into quarantine healthcare workers who are directly interacting with SARS like the mass amounts of people right now in physical isolation is. I'm going to save one of the most important words of our era. It's unprecedented well. Shall we jump into our episode? Yeah because I feel like usually we have things to talk about that. We did this weekend literally. It's like the MS lean the same. Nothing has changed okay. I think of each one tangible thing. We actually did go. I know I have one. Actually you can go. I don't want to Miss I. I don't think I said this on the podcasts yet but I am taking an online course in the science of wellbeing and I really like it and that's basically about the science of happiness and it's a free chorus from Yale and I'm really enjoying it. I don't know if it's too late to join rob. You're like literally going to yell right now or something. Gail student and soon to be a y'all graduate from my one chorus. Did you pay the money? So you got the certificate or now no okay. Well then. You're not a graduate okay. Anyway it's a really interesting fascinating course. And I've learned a lot. I've only in like the third week every. Damn I'm sad and Mitch. It's like well. I'm not because I used to have well. The only thing about it is that the professors starts. The course by being like you'd think as a professor of science well-being I'd be happy but that's not how it works. Basically and I was like Oh wait. I don't know that I know everyone who tries to tap the number one rule is there's no such thing. Yeah which is true. We just have to balance are binary and try and be more in the middle the Middle Gray. Okay wait what would it change unlike happiness? I learned how to Blanche Spinach really well. Oh you did. I really day so I've been learning how to cook Korean food from this amazing women on Youtube vary love you is. I'M GONNA I'M GONNA show. I'm an give her some lakes from the science channel and boost. I'll go algorithm. But it's like Jerry now because Beijing. You take a spinach. You put it into boiling so many people who are going to be like you put this manage into boiling water for thirty seconds. Only and then you scoop it out with like a sifter strain or thinking right into this other word but it right into ice cold water take it out and then you put it into like a little snowball in your hand chop it up soy sauce sesame oil sesame seeds Bam nutrition cooking Korean food for me for weeks. Now Yeah I knew it. We'd all how sh why it's amazing member. Lucky that the store that's nearest has like so much Korean stuff and I was hoping you would call it when I said because I know way too. I think that the binding areas of femininity and may be defined that way honest at times. You didn't even hear you say that I was saying it to prompt you to go crag that's not how these things work in this. World Talk. Well we're going to jump into our what learned this week. I've messed up the sound of Echo. I like those little moments of humility and have authenticity in this podcast. How many of them are saying. Can we say that I feel like every week like the button if you're new here again? Podcasts works this way we have learned this week section and then after this we jump into the actual studies and the topics today being tiger king. So we'll put the time codes in. If you just want to jump to that Greg. What did you learn this week so i. This is less about like a brand new knowledge. My brain more of a reimagining reawakening of the concept that humans are hetero troughs. Yeah that's not heterosexual. Okay let me tell Ya. That's home off trophic. What No. I'm talking wait. What did you say tried to make a homophobic joke? I'm like it's actually not home. Atrocities auto trump so hetero trust our animals organisms that rely on consuming other organisms for energy. Which is us and I feel like. I'm just like it's so obvious to me right. Now that we're Hetero trust because honestly the only thing we really have to worry about is leaving our homes to get food and sustenance to put into our bodies to stay alive like it's a really interesting too. It's crazy to think about that. Sketch like talking to ourself four months ago. It'd be like we're going to be acutely aware of the fact that like we literally need food to live because we are having a hard time feeling comfortable getting buffoon so I just think it's so interesting because the main reason that I leave my house is to like suck it up and go to the grocery store local to get this sustenance and I'm just like it's so interesting that an auto trough is an organism that can actually sustain its energy from the sun and from water through fixation. Yeah it's like is so. Why can't we make our own food? I mean it's volition but but I mean it's actually like it's just fascinating to me to think about the world that way like we got our chemical energy from this food. This thing that we usually just are like pizza. It's such a part of our cultural day to day. Life but from a biological perspective is just so simple. It's like okay. We have to. We have to actually eat. Plants or animals have eaten plants. Those plants are so fricken amazing or whatever that they've been able to carbon fixate or like use photosynthesis to gain energy from the Sun without that we truly would die anyway so this is my other way of saying. Thank you to the grocery store clerks into the frontline workers for supplying us with the carbon that we need to let do you think it's because is it primarily animals that need to move and stuff. Obviously that right like are there a stupid question? Are there mammals that are on trial? I would assume not right like it's probably just. It's just from the sun so it'd be plans and stuff. Yeah like I can't think from the top of my head of like I'm into that while you told me what do you want? No I didn't I wasn't trying to put you on the spot because I'm actually extremely. Okay so what I learned. This week is some new interesting research on plastic. That came out this week. Scientists have created a new mutant enzyme that breaks down plastic faster than ever before so. This is encouraging. This is exciting it some company. I've forgotten the name. And they were working in partnership with some bigger organizations that make plastic water bottles but basically. It's a bacterial enzyme that can break down plastic within ten hours and the everyone's been wanting. Yeah I think it still maybe in the testing phase. They're saying in five years they WANNA be able to scale it up because they actually get it from fungi actually actually anyway and let me just say there are no animals that could be considered auto trough. Okay good to know plant and algae perfect. So where was I talking about that? Oh One really unique thing about this enzyme in the way that it breaks down. Plastic is the other ways they have done it. The plastic actually degrades quality. And so then it can only be recycled to certain other kinds of things like making carpets. Or it's basically a lower grade. Plastic making carpets. Yeah I think. Like carpets polyester polyethylene. Okay so it becomes a lower grade plastic whereas this is able to conserve the plastic quality. So you can recycle it into a high quality plastic new bottle. Basically they found it in a heap of leaves. They like what they weren't here is located like lifting up like one of those one hundred thousand microorganisms screamed. They screamed at them they yelled. Yeah they screamed. What did you the Guy Said? What did you say? Oh my God they screamed hello organizations and then they basically found one was a leaf compost bug which was I discovered in two thousand twelve and then they realized this bug can also break down the plastic they forced through a series of mutations to optimize its ability to break down the PG plastic and basically at the end of the day. The cost of doing this is only four percent of that of making plastic from oil so instead of making more plastic bottles the incentive for businesses to want to do. This is that it's actually cheaper for them to recycle their old plastic. Is there a way to like to scale this up? Well I think that was what the article that I read was talking about. This company's goal is to scale this up like obviously you can only produce the enzyme at a certain rate. So they're trying to figure out. Okay how do we now? We have some of these studies we can show. It can do it in this faster timeframe than ever before. How do we actually make it viable as a business thing or is that so interesting? I'm glad to be talking about science outside of chronic. Yeah there's hope and I mean there's so many times look at this cool thing was a little skeptical because I think it was Coca Cola and some other company that were major investors in this and so..
"tiger kings" Discussed on Court TV Podcast
"The eternal battle church versus state but in the time of co vid- nineteen who should win Vinnie. I I think this is not a clean cut case you're talking about Constitutional Rights Freedom to peaceably assemble freedom of religion freedom of expression and speech in any kind of wrap those altogether. And yes. We've got these these public safety issues. And we've got orders being sent out by governors across the country. So the question is can people or can they not congregate in their congregations? Can they get together to worship is there? Is there a way to constitutionally stop people and prohibit this from happening so I you can but you have to do it in the least restrictive manner possible? Okay you can people congregate. Maybe if they're all eight feet apart or six feet apart in an open area I don't know but to just shut it down altogether I think if it goes to court and goes up the ladder. There's going to be a justice somewhere is going to say. Wait a minute well. The battle is happening now. In our country pastors are fighting to keep their congregations alive and Ted Rowlands did this great piece. It's on court. Tv Dot Com and he talked about this happening all across the country on this one case happening now. A lawsuit has been filed. Its in Texas. And the pastor involve pastor. Bustamante is the plaintiff in this action. And he's basically trying to lift a judge's restriction. Let's listen to a little. Bit Of what Pastor Bustamante has to say. We're not a different that we normally do are calling. This is our high calling from God and we believe that God is so I mean this is our convictions and Every man woman is made up their convictions. We RISE OR FALL IN OUR CONVICTIONS. And that's our collections. And what would we believe that what we're doing right? We're not trying to hurt or become a burden. Jor City. Officials were trying to help so in essence the pastor's saying you can infringe upon our first amendment right freedom of religion. It just. It's it's not acceptable during this time. There's just not enough evidence. I what do you think in general? Just what is your opinion of his argument? The argument they're making are interesting because they're talking about okay. Well you're not restricting people from going to these big stores you know whether it's Cosco supermarket liquor stores and if you look at some of the scenes of people together in the stores and you're wondering okay if they can go there to do that to get food. Why can't they do the same thing to pray? So if you've got the government treating one class of of services slash businesses one way and another another way. That's where you run into run into trouble. I if it's a bright line rule and everyone is treated the same. That's okay but if you're treating church is different than you're treating liquor stores and food stores. That could be a problem. That could be a real constitutional problem and I think what you need to do is carve out a way that they can do it in a way that safe. Some alternative way. We know video is one way they don't WanNa do video. They want to do in Purcell can you? There has to be a way for people to do it. Okay and there is. Let's first before you and I go further into the legal Discussion let's listen to what the lawyer involved has to say. With respect to the larger churches what we call the megachurches those having in tens of thousands of people. It doesn't have near the impact on them. The people that get really impacted are the small to medium sized churches. Those churches like Pastor Mondays. They have approximately a hundred people or so every Sunday. Every Wednesday night is those individuals that are being. Shut down and put out of business a denture. Additionally the Bible tells them that we are to come together as a congregation as a body of believers and so for then that is a deeply held religious beliefs and to the extent that the government comes in and says you cannot exercise at deeply held religious grief that you find in the Bible. Then we believe that that is an infringement on their First Amendment Liberties. And that's what we're asking the courts raskin courts to look judge dog as order to declare it. Void invalid and unconstitutional and then to issue. What's called an injunction something or everybody going forward? Okay so that's what. The lawyer has to say about defending pastor. Bustamonte as you know the one thing that strikes me because there's going to be arguments about the religion and healing people and giving people hope and everything that they need during trying time like this but I'm wondering how much of this is driven by that versus getting those collections. Thank you because you hardwood. I heard the word business. Listen you know why then you want. Hope go on Oprah's twitter feed. She'll give you plenty of hope or do what everybody else is doing. And this is the truth. We are and you know. It's so funny the night before. Ted Did this show. Did this segment. Excuse me I was actually looking online for on Line Services Hindu services and all seriousness. I think you know we're all scared about what's happening in this world. We're scared for other people were scare for ourselves and I was looking for that. And this is what the law says. The law says. Listen if you're going to take away one of my constitutional rights. You better have a good reason. Of course a little more articulate than I am but I'm street so I'm giving you the street definition so you better give me an alternative Vincent. And here's alternative. You have online. But and here's and here's what I just WanNa make a point. I think that you know I I completely when you bring up the argument about this food stories being open liquor stores being opened those are essential services. I'm sorry I know you don't drink but me and the rest of the human race does no. I agree I agree. Those are essential services but services are essential services and for many people. They rely upon this for their mental health. Right for a way to make it through here so I understand that part. See whenever you're taking away a constitutional you have to do it in the least restrictive manner possible and just a blanket. You can't do it. I think is problematic. You need to do it in a way that okay. Why are we taking it away? We're taking away because of the health risk okay. Is there a way to do it and not and not violate that health risk so an outdoor service with with with public address speakers and people spread out in areas that are safely apart? Ken that get it? Done you bring Your Lawn Chair. And you're in an area that you're no one's within six speed of you I think ultimately if you are trying to stop something like this you need to do it in a way where you're not just taking it away. You're giving them an opportunity to do it without violating. What you're concerned about Public Safety Pastor. Bustamante should have put that in his papers he should have said. Hey because remember that video in Ted's piece boost phase out doors so do what you're saying kind of separate everybody. Everybody has a designated spot. And then you have whatever. The police officers are watching. Make sure everybody's safe and do it that way and have a loudspeaker if you need that person to person contact absolutely okay. So we're still going to stay on the topic of liberties because up next we're gonNA talk about the ACLU. They have just filed a class action lawsuit to release hundreds of high risk inmates at a federal prison. So this talks.

If you will is she the good guy though Nope you know right away. I mean even before they get into that right when she's positioned as just like the good guy even then they start leveling accusations against her and the film doesn't give her side of it which is immediately a tip off flake of she did some. She did some shit or this is a horribly done documentary that just it needed a villain and they kind of made her villain team team. Carol Baskin Big Cat. Rescue Carol over here no no. I don't think I'm not big. I might be being Howard the nineteen. I'm not sure there is a good guy in this story. Which makes the whole series. I think that they've found a villain. And it was j Bennett. You feel you feel the same way about Carol Baskin. I think she probably is a murderer. Tiger King is rated M for violence language sexual content drug use and more so that should be the end of this article so essentially the rating is saying. Don't let your kids watch tiger. "Mountain dew. Go Buy me one of those. This is so good. Nothing like some verbal means to wrap up the show. Yeah exactly we'll have to do our like our bit. Like verbal means to explain to the audience without the without the pictures. Glad is money so the guy at the in John. Finley got the Tattoo to cover up the JOE EXOTIC TATTOO. Oh my God. But it didn't really cover up the whole Tezzi now. It was like you can kind of see it like you can't see the whole thing but they're still clearly just a bowl on top of some letters that are obscure and my hope for his sake is that that's just like part one of the two and I was hoping to get like a background added to it or something but you know you can only take so much getting tattooed in that area. They I noticed that too that you could still see the the words on both sides. What a great show. What a great episode of heat sounding. Yeah this is. "James Is Has James Yet. James's interview and like the twenty second build up to the interview and then the Jet Ski saying just to hear they're like if you don't have five and a half hours to devote to it or you don't WanNa watch all five and a half hours of it you can. Kinda STOP ONCE. They start talking about the trial yet. There's no like new crazy shit like other than you learnt. Excuse the jet ski and then learning that the husbands are not back out the husbands are straight. Then you can kinda start fast forwarding. It a little bit that point though. You're pretty well invested in the show. Yes yes to I HAVE DR GO AHEAD. I I had a new slightly new point to bring up but so if you have friends who don't WanNa Watch it. I'm going to give you my my advice on how to get them to watch it. This is how I get people to watch the room which is one of the greatest movies of all time you get everybody together. Get together all your sorts of alcoholic fixings or whatever else you might have. Maybe you got some marijuana you were able to get legally or whatever. I don't know you get everybody there. You haven't you get a few a few drinks and everybody's system just so they're nice and like chill no context. Do not tell them what you're watching. Do not even give them a preview of it. You just turn this shit on what the problem with that is then you have people that. Stay in your house for five hours. You get them. You have to get hooked. They're like you get them to watch the first to a couple of episodes and then they're going to be hooked guaranteed. They didn't want to watch the first two episodes all the way through because the first episode is just like okay. This is a documentary about a zoo. And it's not until the second episode. All the crazy shit really starts to ramp up you get them over for two hours. I guarantee they'll wanNA watch at least the next two episodes after that whether it be at your house or on their own time. But I don't know how to tell your if you just give them to start it on how you start this and not finish it. Yeah we had every intention of just watching two episodes at a time and we watched the first two episodes and then we took a break and then we were like well. Let's watch one or two more just to you know we finished it. We watched all of them. Are we stayed up till like midnight to finish watching this thing? Yeah I watched an all on all in one sitting. Thanks Brad. It was probably of your life. Yeah it was. It was something Stephanie. Inexperienced that I'll never really have a parallel to. It's kind of similar to like abducted in plain sight just like watching it in every time. You think it can't get any more messed up. It finds a way more messed up but the difference between that is on a on a abducted with plain sight. There's only like two crazy people. Yeah like the parents are really the only ones that are just absolutely out of their Gourd on Tiger King. There's like three people who aren't out of their board and one other thing we haven't even mentioned because the in this perfectly sums up how batch it and saying this show is towards end the dude. I can't remember his name now but the guy that lost his legs in Zip line accident he gets into like rally cars and shit and he's driving a neon green car with a skeleton in the front see and they feel no need to discuss. Explain are any give context nothin to this dude just riding around with no legs in a car with a skeleton and there's no reason to but then there's no reason to that's how crazy this show is yes it's like. I said like when when they say that Bugaboo Dr Mystical Science or when that guy shows up with a skeleton in the front seat of his car. Like you're so you've gotten so numb to the strangeness of These People that you don't really need an explanation because that's just how these people are. Yeah and Mike later in the series introduced for the new guys. And he's like yeah. Just gotTA prison for being a drug cartel lord and I like big cats. I'm like okay. Cool rock on brother. I didn't I didn't even think anything about wait a minute. This was a drug board. That guy seemed relatively normal normal. He just likes tigers the only time he he came across as a drug lord was when he talked about how he was there when they killed and I've seen bodies buried on my property and shed and this like okay cool. Yeah the only thing the only thing I did was wrong with some of my guys killed an FDA at federal agent in Bergamo my property. But I need to do with it. So whatever right yeah. Yeah Oh yeah no no whatever. What am I last my last two more things one props to that one girl one woman for breaking free of the cult yes. Boban's Colt and leaving. Yes and we haven't really talked about it but Bogdan had a cult. All all of them are really though because they all in your hair his is the most colty via so his to sleep with him was basically the message that was given could even more scumbag. If you didn't you were relegated to like working like all day in the basically in the the quote unquote the basement or the boiler room or whatever like you are the lowest level on the wrong. Yeah and that. That was pretty scumbag. He does mean. But this is my favorite quote. I've seen rather show Joe Exotic is Steve Irwin's warrior. Oh my God yes yeah. I thought that summed it up pretty well means for this show our legendary as Kanada before we started the show to make sure. I didn't forget anything. The yeah the timing of this show coming out with the whole cove in nineteen lockdown could not have been better. Yeah like you almost like Netflix. Held onto this until now because they knew everybody would wanNA watch it. Then they got the Internet jumping all over with their memes which is just free marketing to get. It's even more people who have no idea what the fuck they're getting into when they watch it. It's just really a marketing. Brilliant like I. I tip my cap to Netflix. Did a great job with with probably I probably would have never watched it. We're not for this situation. Probably the most normal person on tiger king and he hid drugs and snakes. I love how candidly they were talking about that too. Like yeah you just slip through the snake open. I might live in my not just throwing drugs in there about about the snakes but the drugs Joe Exotic Carol Baskin Doc. Antle trying to figure out. Who's exploiting big cats in a scene from the officer? Michael Andy and Dwight I'll have their guns part each other man. My favorite one I've seen is it's a picture of Bret michaels and it says what you ordered. And then there's a picture of Joe is what you got. I think one of my favorites is a picture from jungle book of I. Guess it's a woman petting the Big Tiger. And they like Photoshop to slash like cartoon is D- Joe Exotic conduit and the capture is.

"The The I really WanNa see South Park. Cover the Tiger King. I just I know it'll be a golden episode. Yes get them to play. Joe Exotic like having just show up in South Park. Joe Exotic fits in. Jos is a southbound character absolutely. He's like he fits perfectly in that world the entertaining mirror man bear pig. Yes Brad's campaign manager. He also deserves props for sticking around for a year and a half in that I would have bailed like I would have bailed two days at at the most. Yeah he's like. I want to be a campaign manager. I don't care if it's for Joe Exotic try to be a campaign manager. Well I mean he honestly. It's probably the best thing for his career because he can look at potential candidates would be like I got that motherfucker six hundred sixty four votes. That's that's a pretty good endorsement. I think pretty good endorsement. I mean even even if he doesn't actually talk about who he was campaign manager for he still can technically put that on his resume news a year and a half a campaign. Manager for a libertarian. Running for Governor of Oklahoma. Yeah you don't have to be specific on your resume. Here's a lesson Brian on the business side of things. You don't have to be specific on your resume if you did it. You did it. That's true do you guys think Jeff Framed Joe or like set them up together hundred rested. Yes Jeff is the one who should be in prison well. They said that he's got a lot of. He's being looked into for a lot of things in his time. His free time might be wearing down a running down like he's got any favors by filming vignettes of him. Murdering blow up dolls and calling them Carol and saying Multiple Times. He wanted her dead and all the other shit but I don't think he actually I think jeff is the one who said all that Jeff Jeff. Absolutely goaded him into it the way like the way. I could see it based on the multiple perspectives. That were given. So you know and maybe it's not you. Maybe it's that guy you you're friends with some questionable decision making things at times where it's like they make a suggestion. And everybody's like Oh that's that's not a great idea. Don't don't do that for the sake of for the sake of having a name here where we call them chance but chance. Don't don't do that. It's not a great idea. But there's that one friend who's in there in the corner and he kinda goads them is like do it. Do it like like hell. I'll be right there with you. Let's let's go. Climb that fucking tree in the middle of the at two thirty at night middle of the park or we can fall and hurt ourselves now. Let's do it and are specific examples. You're giving right now. Yeah so that that they're I think. Jeff was that guy really kind of like like he wouldn't have done it independently of it but I think that Jeff at the very least goad him into looking into it because he knew he could he could get them to try and look into his. Joe Is an innocent. But Jeff last think jeff pushed him to do it and because like we're judge because he knows that. Joe Has that idea and said that idea for years and jeff kind of like pushed him to take that idea further and an acquisition himself. But it was just like. Hey Joe I I have a guy here in Alan. That'll do job for you right. Allen will do it for up Joe asking how to do it for him and he has his buddy who he knows is GonNa like side with Jeff Say Joe. Joe Gave me money to kill Carol now joe so Joe Guilty but jeff like planted the seed and gave him the tools. Jeff gave him the the rope to hang himself with basically. Yeah they made a great point in the show who the fuck pays five thousand dollars for a Hitman travel from Oklahoma Florida to can't even get a hit man to go from like South Florida to mid Florida for five thousand dollars and they just show up and shoot the person in the face tact whatsoever. That's still going to be a lot more money than that. I would think it would. I don't know how much you hit man cost but I would imagine that thousand dollars might get you a conversation with a Hitman. Anything about it either own for five thousand dollars but I would think like at minimum for like an person local person you would probably have to put like ten grand like front with more later after it's done not like I'll give you. I'll give you five thousand now. Five thousand five thousand now travel across the entire country and I'll give you five and not even get basically gave him. Three thousand is not just kill. Random person it's go. Kill this well known person in our world. Like millions of people know who? This woman is a thousand dollars and I will be suspect number one immediately because I've been threatening to do this for years. Yeah so yeah. So Jeff did it. And then I saw people saying James was bad and now he's not a good person because like he's got all sorts of stuff but he seemed like a reasonable person coming in after everybody else he seemed like your regular run of the mill like black market rich guy. Yeah in normal life. He probably is a scumbag but on this show now like he's not even like top five he also gave us one vision history. I laughed so hard of the jet ski seen. Oh Yes oh my God yeah I mean unless we have to break down the Jet Ski Saying Okay. They heard it. Looks like mark? Davis is long lost brother us. Okay you and nine both of you and I know for fact that he only agreed to do the show if they filmed him writing that like. I'm not be or this and you need me so you better put me on the jet ski and you know as an editor. They were desperate to put eye of the Tiger on this program and I god bless whoever had the idea to do it for the Jet Ski Scene. Because that is the perfect place for it. One of the best ways to get your show to go get real popular is for it to be memorable which this is one of those memorable shows. I've ever seen that scene is going to be a mean for so long. God yes and so. It's perfect people to watch the show. Is they gotta tune in to see the means and you can enter when you can inject a mean like that into your show especially when you have I of the tiger blaring over it like that's cinematic brilliance. I think my favorite part about it too was just the the sug miss of it was. The Guy was talking about how I think that was after like Joe was officially put in jail dude was like Oh Jeff. Fuck me over. He's like but I don yet. And then boom you Ida Tiger and him on the jets the message the slack chat and was like this jetskis feed. Oh my God. Rain is seen in television history. Yes and that dude is so serious too. That's what that's what sold for me like if it was just having fun on the with the eye of the tiger thing. I'm doing all right. He's having fun with it. Now is he. Is he was the extra mile like that's what he looked like on that day. Would you say he was rolling up to whip? Somebody's last that's what he did. Yeah he's like bouncing on waves and laugh and have a good time. That seems not very funny. But he's like he's just dead set. Stray staying straight ahead with the sunglasses on could be any more serious. Like ident- asked fully expected that scene to conclude with him showing up in the courtroom to like spill. The beans on some shifts should about jeff like that. That was such an epic thing in so many ways it was that was like that was one of those few scenes the touches on all of the boxes that the room checks off as a comedy in the in the the non comedy sector of movies and TV where it's so unbelievably serious and fucking crazy at the same time that it becomes the funniest shit you've ever seen into so out of place 'cause they're like sitting there talking to him in his little shop or whatever it is and I think even says like hold on a second and then it just cut to him writing the jet ski with either hire. Yeah legally irrelevant to the entire story. But the story would not be the same without it and we also need to talk about. Joe Calling him a walking Chucky doll accurate on east most accurate insult on the whole show. Joe Joe's got some some zingers that he says throughout the show. He called himself gays three dollar bill. Which was hilarious. Yes take downs of Carol Baskin. We're always classic. I love in a what's the guy's name Rick or whatever talking about he was who was like sixty people. Watch watch them. Yeah and he got like a got him to come in and like produce it. You know so far with this show. And you're you're making this show about a rivalry between big cat zoos county. What kind of audience do you think that s were watching it? All of the people that watched Joe Exotic show on a regular basis and the people that showed up to Joe Exotic thanksgiving. Yeah I I think the Thanksgiving was them trying to humanize him a little bit. Yeah it is like close to that goes to that. Yeah is my thing my question. I had a gone absolutely gone. Awry hundred percent. I it is. I don't I would. I wouldn't have gone. I'd have much better things to do with. I don't let me rephrase that. I probably wouldn't have gone if I found out. What kind of fucking food? It was because even talk about the meat meat shop. They use the left. The thrown away expired meat from Walmart. Thrown away meat feed the the Tigers and also to in the the restaurant after they reopened it making the employees. Pick that expired fucking meet to own my good tonight with this expired fucking like rip rack like my favorite was the justification behind it. He was like you see if you take the frozen meat off of the off the counter and you bring it up to the register. They gotTa Throw. That should away. They can't put it back. I'm like I don't know about that. Joe Is that true even. There's a reason they can't re restock it. It's not good enough to put back on their shelves. Do you really want like especially at like Walmart. That is not looking out for the best interest of their customers. Is that really what you want? If Walmart won't give it to you I mean So I have people have a couple of friends that have not watch tiger king and don't plan on watching it all the way through and I think I'm GonNa have them all go to.

"Don't look nervous or they'll think you're lying so she's being like way too relaxed. If that makes sense right like you said laughing it off and being like this is just preposterous. And it's like you're not protesting enough. There's protest too much you come across as guilty on camera. Yeah like it wasn't like this was. She was recorded as having like a candid conversation with somebody. She is known for many many years like it. Could maybe be understandable at that point if you had conversation with that person. It's a fucking guy that she's she definitely doesn't know the guy like I mean he's he came around and shoot and all that he's shooting all this shit and she doesn't know what she probably didn't know what it was about but like the you're on camera like Lisa Thri like also there's like the meat grinder. She's like there's no way I could fit a whole body in this meat grinder. It's like you're right. No no way. You could like dismembered body or anything Hannigan through there. So she knows a meat grinder works clearly or how big? It is relative to parts of his body. Yeah so I think I could. I could barely fit hand there. I mean I could. I wouldn't be able to fit his hand in hand Here's here's Eric's comments. Okay carrying one hundred percent killed her husband but I honestly don't think she fed him to the Tigers. There are so many swamps. You can dump in Florida. Where no one would find your. Why would you choose the option hiding him on your property? Even if you fed him to something she made comments about how he would go out flying without his license below the level where a radar would pick him up which is frigging weird. Why would anyone ever do that? They said he didn't have his license out out into the Gulf of Mexico. Who's to say? That's not exactly how he was killed. She drugs him. Someone loads him up in a plane flies ten miles off the coast with a cinder block to his foot shark food within a week one finds a thing drowns death no blood no DNA sharks and saltwater devour the rest it did seem like she she did a real good job of like setting up waste could disappear. Yeah Lake Lanier Australia. She could have killed him and also him being at his plane. Van Parked at the airport and stuff are too. Yeah and they had me thinking he. He just bailed on her because he had talked about going to Costa Rica and I was like well. Maybe he did go and then immediately after that. They're like well then. They broke into the office and switch the power of attorney out. I'm like like and then like five years like the the minimum timeframe before I like not holding out any hope that he could still be alive. He's dead he's dead. He said we always said it's fine. Just go ahead and give me all this stuff. Yep All those. Yeah so yeah so. We all are in agreement that it is. I think feeling the police are in the same boat where it's like. Yeah we know she probably did it. But we can't prove it so we're Outta luck for right now. Yeah but like I. I can't there's that seems like far and away the most plausible appearances. You could convince me that. Oj Simpson was innocent. Before you could convince me that Carol Baskin was innocent. Yeah yeah probably and I know. Oj Simpson was legally innocent. But I mean like for really innocent. Real-life innocent you. You convince me that he did not kill hit Nicole. And Ron before you could convince me that Carol. Baskin did not kill her husband. I there is no way. She did not kill that man. Or that have him killed like she might not have actually killed him but she had him killed. She pulled a joe exotic little murder-for-hire plot murder-for-hire plot will only get. We'll get to that later but also the the whole timing of where it's like other having marriage problems. He wants to get a divorce and it's like well she's gotTa save all like if he gets divorced with her. She loses all the Tigers and all the money and all that stuff. So the only thing you yes. There's a ton of motive and she's a crazy. Yeah she's one hundred percent crazy person. I definitely definitely somebody where you would. You would fully expect them to cling onto those those cats with everything. They've got so yeah. I kind devoted a whole episode to that too and like everybody else in the whole like big cat community are all just yes. She definitely did it. Oh yeah definitely one hundred percent. She did it just like we all know what else could have happened. Yeah I did enjoy the little feud that Joe and her had specifically when he just totally ripped off their logo audience. Shit as if he was gonNA get away with not only did they rip off the logo. They took out. They took a header from the same website. And use the Kinda like Photoshop. Some colors here and there and add the word experience to the end of their name. He didn't even change the name. And he put it like he appended it like he didn't make it part of the logo or anything he just like stuck it on the bottom where it's kind of hard to see that. He stalked her website. Like percents. So you early yes. It was like big cat rescue entertainment as it was a big address that was when they were doing the depositions into seeing someone like Joe Exotic City in a courtroom like Reading Court depositions was just. I thought that was hysterical. Yeah in another thing that got me was the sudden introduction to the guy that was filming the Reality Show. Oh my joe exotic versus Carol Baskin. And he's like I'm going to be a God damn millionaire. I figure I could not figure out like Rick Kirkman. Is this guy like normal or like what's going on here by the end. I kind of settled on. He's just like normal in terms of like he's like a Hollywood film guy type weird but not like Tiger King. Weird now yeah. He's just normal weird and he he just saw an opportunity to to make millions of dollars which he absolutely would have. If you like. Obviously the the the success of Tiger King already on Netflix. That guy would have absolutely made a ton of fucking money. Tiger King didn't burn all his footage. So yes who who? Who did it? Who burned on the studio was Joe? Joe Joe Joe. Absolutely did it at first. I thought maybe Carol Baskin had somebody do it. But then the more it went on. I'm like Shit. Yeah Joe's the only one that benefited from it burning down. Everybody like some of the people that he faked burned down and all of his shit he took out before he burned it down base. It was like a couple of the people that were in the zoo. Rick but then Rick was like that was my like my was my livelihood. That was my retirement fund. And it's like yes. He's he's right as an carol like there's information at carrow could've used so. Joe Is the only one that Won anything are benefited from that. Getting burned down. It doesn't fall far beyond the pattern of behavior with Joe because he would he would literally go to Carol. Baskin's sanctuary with like propaganda type shit of them. You know being dead bunnies because they found a picture of little girls who killed bunnies their cats and he would frequently talk about shooting. Carol Baskin on camera for all the world to see you like it's just. It's not up doll and shot it on. Tv show by having dildos in his mouth and then Kelsey the girl when they're asking about the murder of a higher she's like I don't think.

So if you've not watch tiger king please listen to one of our other episodes that have we have plenty of them to choose from. And then after you've watched it and experienced it for yourself come back and join in on this conversation with us. I just WANNA say I had to take notes to make sure I didn't forget yes and also looking back what I typed in for like the first couple of episodes in realizing how naive I was back then to the things that I thought were funny and questionable that I wanted to talk about and then by the end I'm like what like the show really Really numbs you. Too how weird people can be. Yeah and the the crazy thing to me the first I guess half hour of the first episode. You're just like okay. This is kind of cool. It's it's a zoo in the middle of Oklahoma with a bunch of big cats and the guy's kind of weird and and you know this neat I might if I ever find myself in Oklahoma one day I might decide. Hey I want to go check this zoo out. And then it's like the beat drops and then it's all of a sudden it's a just a constant array of what the thought that I just see and it doesn't stop it's five and a half hours of just what in the hell and there are no sane people. It's and every time you think there's nobody. There's no way that anybody's crazier than this. There's immediately somebody that's crazier and it's it's just it's a nonstop roller coaster. The fact that by the end of the guys that are jokes employees like the the manager of the zookeeper head zookeeper and one of the no legs. They end up being like the most normal people were like see them as like the normal characters of the show. The lady had her arm and her to these are the people that are normal. When like when I first started watching the show like these people are off. Their rockers was wrong with these people. Yeah I thought.

"To watch the other two episodes it will be I'm sure worth it like One of my sons said No. You don't understand like some of the best stuff in some of the craziest stuff is yet to come. Is that true. Yeah there's some good stuff in the last two episodes. There's some really. So here's my question for you just off that last part. Would you pay Joe Exotic to speak at your funeral? No I would. Let's hope we have no funerals in store Crazy time we are living through. I mean we Aaron and I actually started the podcast late because we were listening to the governor of Maryland Address everybody in a press conference in you know I think and I I really trust Hogan actually I think in by the way. He's an excellent communicator. And he's he's matter of fact and he's you know he's very direct And at the same time trying to be reassuring but you can sort of sense over the last couple of days that that you know. It's gotten more serious like if it weren't serious enough. It seems to be getting more serious. The expectation is that they're going to be a lot of New York. City's that's the that's the problem and that's the fear unless we continue to really Really Hunker down all right Several things redskins related happened over the weekend. I will get to the Ronald Darby. You know acquisition. I'm not overly impressed. Just to be perfectly candid with you but I did want to Go back to Trent Williams for just a moment because I found something that maybe I missed during the show on Friday or maybe came out afterwards. I can't recall but less carpenter in Sam. Forty wrote a story You know off of the interview Vincent Taylor did on W. Jfk about Trent Williams which we went through in great detail on Friday but there was There was this paragraph that I found interesting. You know we heard from Vincent Taylor. About how bad you know. And how off put Trent Williams was after meeting with Ron Rivera for roughly fifteen minutes. Taylor said you know there was no relationship. Ron wanted him to prove himself And he just realized that there was no relationship and it was time to part ways. Well according to this story in the post the Redskins Ron Rivera in particular had a much different reaction to the fifteen minute meeting with Trent Williams Soon after the meeting when Vincent Taylor told the Redskins that he was demanding that they trade him Williams demands surprised Rivera and the reds Redskins Front office person with knowledge of the situation said Rivera. Who was said to have made recruiting Williams back to the team? One of his early priorities came away from the meeting with Williams believing it was cordial and the start of a relationship that would build over the coming weeks. According to the person Rivera has said publicly that because he doesn't know any of the players from last season's team he wants them to come to offseason workouts to show they will buy into the culture. He hopes to build before considering making a long term commitment to them the redskins according to this story and according to Les Carpenter and Sam Forty as sources. The redskins were shocked. When Taylor called a few days after the meeting and said if you aren't going to extend Williams's contract then trade him. The person That apparently was in the know said adding that Taylor told Washington officials that Williams will not for them You know it's hard to really Know for sure in this situation. I think the one thing that we can come to a pretty. I think confident conclusion on is that Vincent Taylor's recent remarks or bullshit you know. There's no chance that he you know hasn't demanded a new contractor that trend's never made demands on a contract. It's never been about the contract. The contracts never been the hold up all of the things that he said. The you know that first statement The Diana Ross. Zini tweet thread and the interview that he did with one of six point seven. You know I just don't believe any of that. I think that's all bullshit. I think it's always been at least partly about a new contract because if it's not about a new contract what are we talking about? Because if he's not making demands on a contract and it should be super easy to trade him. You know if a team can just take this. This twelve point five million dollar contract and maybe offer them. You know a mini extension of sorts. And it's not about the money than it should be much easier to trade him or if it's not about the contract the Redskins as we talked about on Friday have gotten rid of Bruce Allin. They've gotten rid of their entire training staff. They've hired a coach who is a players coach. Then come on and play. What are we talking about? I don't believe anything from Vincent Taylor. In fact I really think that this point given that Trent Williams lost ten to fifteen million dollars last year. And we're going through this this year. I think the agent really messed up big time for his client. I really do and I don't know that trump's ever going to get that money back I wish in the best because I've always liked Trent I've reached out to him. Somebody asked me if you've tried to get Trent on. Of course I have multiple times. Reached out to him texted him. You know at least a half dozen times over the last many months. Um Trent is at this point not willing to do anything and by the way I did the same thing with the agent And I think the agent got a lot of you know a lot of heat for the interview that he did Because I don't think anybody believes the agent at this point and look. We may find out alternately that we were wrong and the agent. You know handled this correctly or was forthright throughout But as of now the agent and Trent Williams look worse than the team. And that's saying a lot you know when it comes to this particular team there was also something else on the Trent Williams situation. This was from Josina Anderson. Who's done a really good job reporting redskins related stuff and she tweeted this out on Friday night. I think there are people in the organization. Who Still Love Trenton? Would appreciate him being back in the team. Helping to block for young quarterback join Haskins. Those are just some sentiments though and he'd still need a pay raise up through now all sides including the market of not capitulated yet so she says of course it's about the pay raise to even though the agent Has said that it is not about a a pay raise I have a pretty good Contact that has shared with me that yes there are people in the organization who still love. Trent and there are a few people in management. That can't stand him now. That really really you know I I use the word betrayed in a conversation and they said that may be a bit harsh but extremely disappointed in the way it's been handled Would be certainly more descriptive of the way. Several people in the organization. Feel not just Bruce Allen and I have suggested that one of those people that may feel this way about Trenton. Now is the owner you know. Trent says he loves the owner. Because I think he wants the to to do him what he believes doing the right way and move on But I think that there's a lot of stuff that came has come out over the last year. That really really hurt the redskins you know that. I think they felt like they were loyal to him and maybe now they feel like they were loyal to him to a fault. Bottom line my position hasn't changed And it's not going to change at minimum. They should wait through the draft. I'm not giving Trent away for anything. But a second round pick and if the you know my my response to the agent if he told me this has never been about money I would say well. Why don't you play for the Redskins? Then what's the problem And if if it's not about a new contract how is it that somebody has an offered the redskins enough? Interestingly enough just as As a side note to all of this When he was interviewed on local radio and asked about the trade offers and asked specifically whether or not the redskins had been offered at least a second round pick he Really skirted that question and didn't answer it. Which would lead you to believe that. The redskins haven't been offered a second so when he says they've been offered things and they don't know what they're doing or they're changing their demands you know. Tell me Vincent Taylor that the redskins turned down. A second rounder or better. And then I'll tell you that they are. You know intentionally trying to hurt your client especially if it's a top half of the second round pick But I don't believe they've been offered that I think they could have gotten net certainly a year ago maybe even six seven months ago And I mentioned to all of you. Maybe three weeks ago the Redskins I believe could have gotten Geneva. Judean cloudy straight up for Trent if they had wanted that from Houston Last year now they would have been in a position of having to pay cloudy but they didn't Want that and bottom line is the redskins did make them available until recently. Now we're finding out what his current market value is Which is not what he thinks. It is From a contract standpoint or a compensation standpoint neither one all right So that was the Trent stuff that I wanted to get to Jason Lockenfora very early this morning. I guess on. Cbs SPORTS DOT COM HQ That they're streaming service they're like sound streaming service. Yeah I wouldn't even know what that is But he's it. Cbs CBS OATS HBO. So Jason Lockenfora Was asked about the Redskins and and the number two pick overall and whether or not there was any interest or any possibility that they would trade back. Here's what he said that's what it comes.

"You want it you need it. It's what everyone's talking about the Kevin Sheehan show now. Here's Kevin all right. It's just Aaron and yours. Truly today. Cooley was going to join us. I guess there's still a chance he could do it but I think he got. Tied up with something to today so We miss him today and catch up with him Wednesday maybe his Tummy Obiang Tomorrow You know all hell's breaking loose around us you know. The the Governor Governor Hogan was just holding his press conference now issuing essentially a mandatory. Stay at home order. Jesse you guys know We are media and we are broadcasters. We are actually deemed to be in in this kind of a situation essential so we can get to and from our our studio and we are in a very you know isolated studio situation in Erin and I have kept Not only clean And sanitized but With well within six to eight feet of each other as we've been doing this the last couple of weeks so our plan is to continue to do the podcast. We may take a day off here and there In some of the advertising stuff is dried up to be perfectly honest with you right now. but So we don't have a dedicated advertisers as we've had so you know day they'll come back in and I'm not worried about that at all But we're going to continue to do the podcast as long as we can. And as long as there are things to talk about which I will start with what Erin and Greg Huff. My radio producer have been asking me to watch for over a week now. I finally got to this weekend. And that was tiger King Erin I am five episodes in. I've got two episodes left E. It's exactly what you said which is just trust me on this. Start watching and you will. You'll be glad you did. It is honestly. I've never seen a collection of more sort of WT wingnut Wackos on one show in my entire life. It is hysterical to watch from you. Know JOE EXOTIC TO CAROL BASKIN TO DOCK. Antle to all of them. I mean it is unbelievable. I don't want you to spoil it for me. Nuts filing Because I haven't seen the final two but it's it's it's truly. It's impossible like I was saying this morning on radio. You know you and I are both in. Huge game of thrones fans. And I'm not a fantasy guy but I got into game of thrones and I swore to all my friends that also were like. I'm not watching a show about white walkers and dragons I'm like no no no need trust me on this. It's a character based show. You're going to love it. And every single friend of mine with the exception of one Scott Scott impelled still. Never Watch game of thrones. He did not trust me on this Even though I know he would love it And this is the same thing people here exotic animals and wingnut rednecks gun toting rednecks in in the Midwest in the south involved in all sorts of tiger hoarding and Tiger Breeding. And and you're like I don't think that's for me. Oh Yeah it's for you and it's become in this corona virus virus you know hunker down era the I mean unsocial media. There's not a big topic than Caro- other than corona virus itself. It's the number. One streamed show on Netflix right now. Unbelievable how it's just taken off so There couple of things in and I'll just I. I know the answers to these. But for those of you. That didn't listen on radio. I'll ask him to Erin anyway. Because I asked them of Greg this morning but a couple of questions I have for. You is number one. Do we ever get to find out what happened to John? Carroll's second husband. I mean do we. Who apparently she fed to you. Know the Tigers But we don't know that for sure because it's been an unresolved disappearance at twenty years. It's still unresolved remains that. Well yes secondly I know from you know the first five episodes because every episode starts with Joe Exotic in prison you know talking via a phone interview that he's been sentenced to seventy nine years so I am assuming and don't tell me the answer to this but I am assuming that somehow he either killed Carol Baskin or it was some sort of murderer you know for higher plot of some sort am I. Am I in sort of the right direction there? You're in the ballpark okay But he is in jail for good right. Well you'll see okay so I asked Greg the following question this morning. We actually took calls on it. Who's your who's your top seated Wacko on. This show is Joe. I don't think it's Joe. I really don't think it's Joe as and part of it is because it's presented so much that you get to see like he's definitely a Wacko. But man there are a lot of wackos on this he somehow and probably just because we've seen the most of them. He seems the most fleshed out of the WACKOS. So I almost think that Carol's a little more wacko. I think that Why am I blanking out the guy who doc cantal? Actually he's he's. He's clearly created a mini cult. He's created a cult. I don't know if that in earnest does that. Make a Wacko or does that. Just I don't know I mean. They both sort of created these cults and has to for all intents and purposes in. She's got volunteers. That are you know loyal to her. You know the funny thing about Carol. Is You know You know big cat rescue. Where she's you know creating this this impression that she's rescuing all these cats. She's doing the same thing that they're doing right. She's basically imprisoning these big cats. Yes and turning it into a circus of sorts I think Jeff Lowe is up there on the me in the last two. Yeah Yeah and I love the fact that you know jeff comes in and basically completely snows Joe Exotic because Joe clearly at that point is in big trouble you know financial trouble etc you know so look watch trust us. It's crazy couple of things number one man or those baby tigers cute. Oh yeah they are so adorable. I can only imagine that in these. You know these mini petting zoo environments. They've created with the baby tigers. How cool that is to be able to to see that and be a part of that they are just adorable animals But really the scary part of all of this. Is that the That that these things exist that people actually have these exotic zoos in their home. You know I went back and read the crazy story of Terry Thompson Zanesville Ohio. Do you know the story or not. I don't know if I know this one. Oh well you have to read this story first of all by the way. Tiger King is non-fiction. It's a documentary. It's real these are real people doing these real things. The Story of Terry Thompson is twenty. Eleven Zanesville Ohio right outside of Columbus Ohio. He was a very depressed guy with one of these exotic. You know zoos. He had like twenty tigers. Twenty Lions Grizzly bears cougars leopards. Wolves babboons monkeys the whole damn thing and he cut him loose. Erin in twenty eleven and he shot himself after opening up all the cages and these animals were running loose. You know this is the concern. They were all shot all but one animal was apparently found. It was like a monkey in. They believed that. Probably one of the lions bears or tigers eight a monkey but they had you had police coming in. They were familiar with what this guy was doing. And it's actually a fascinating story. Because one of his neighbors who had horses was seeing his horses get a little restless you know as he looked out his window and he walked back there and they had Sort of a young horse who was really going wild and he went out there and he brought at that horse in and then he saw the lions approaching. You know his his property free yet. That's one of the craziest stories. It happen in twenty eleven. All of those animals were killed very sadly but this guy was depressed. He was crazy. He was like in his seventies. I think you know age wise. He shot himself in by the way then allowed for his animals to eat them But turned all cut. Cut these cages open and turn these animals loose. You know there were the it was a major story like if you lived in that Columbus area you had you were driving around potentially can come upon a lion like in so. I started to think about this. Think about like you. You have no idea like I was like I could be walking my dog one night and all the sudden come across a grizzly bear. I mean from some dude who you know allow. They can't be sure of keeping these things. Cave state could happen like Joe. Exotic has two hundred thirty tigers on his property. Full grown. Yes and now doc. Antle apparently is euthanizing all of his tigers after they run their course of usefulness in terms of revenue generation. Because it's the baby cub tigers. That are really the the draw for people to come in and be able to take pictures with him and hug him in play with them. And that's what people pay big money to do in these place. I'm pulling up the prices now for Joe Exotic formerly Joe Exotic Zoo and it's a general mission fifteen dollars but then it's like private playtime. Fifty dollars sloth encounter fifty dollars exotic animal tour fifty five dollars. I can see how they can rack up on one visit. I mean if you haven't seen it. This guy is a mullet wearing gay guy with two husbands who's probably addicted to Meth. Who has who had one of the private bit largest private exotic zoos with you know. Two hundred and twenty-five Tigers lots of lions bears wolves the whole nine yards also surveyors madikwe have to point that out and incredibly charismatic dude who ran for President in twenty sixteen in for Governor of Oklahoma in two thousand eighteen. You know not. The brightest bulb on the Bush of them are actually the only normal dude through five episodes campaign manager. And I think you've got to normal as compared to relatively speaking. Yes he was. He was a Walmart employee. Selling ammunition to Joe Joe has two husbands one. Of whom is John who may have three teeth in his entire mouth? Yes and the other one was a poor travis. Maldonado who in episode five shoots himself I'm laughing but what's crazy about. It is the camp while the funeral was unbelievable but the the video of the campaign manager witnessing the shooting of himself all you see is the reaction you see Travis. Actually shooting himself anyway. We're talking about a lot of things that are filmed familiar to some of you. Not Familiar to others. Just trust US tiger king which has become an Internet and social media sensation. It's on net flicks schist. I can't wait to get home today..

"I'll guess tiger to the little tigers kept him around to know he was. I think that basically like he was like a very politically minded this guy and I think that he just really liked his libertarian platform and that he just felt like that that okay. Joe Exotic wants to be president but I WANNA get my agenda across but I didn't even know what Libertarian. So it was the type. Is this what happened to Rupert TYPE OF RELIGION? Do you think that this Guy Ran? Rupert's campaigns with a libertarian. Do but what they will run for president. Bill Ruger ran for Governor of Indiana at the same time. Same Time Mike Pence. He Lost Mike Pence. Oh Oh oh God who Chilai again. Back to my point. The after his unsuccessful run for president and governor while is still. Why was this guy? "Heart. You're not just WANNA WANNA give everybody a chance. So so ultimately though Joe Joe Exotic did get home in the end that I hear a lot of people along the way did a lot of bad stuff broke a lot of laws on the way definitely wanted. Carol Baskin's Bernard by Hitman. He definitely definitely wanted that to happen. He he ends up getting what. How many years in jail? What are you going for? Seventy five years in jail. They're up for seventy five years but I don't know if they ever really told us how much he actually got in jail So I I do think that Joe Exotic did get hosed in the end because that he definitely got set up by Jeff Lowe and it did seem like the show ended on weird note where nothing happened to jeff low they sort of implied like Shubin drop on Jeff Lowe eventually maybe right and not even Jeff Lau jeff lows good friend that he brought up from wherever he brought up the actual hit who was allegedly supposed to kill Carol. Like Hey. Don't get nothing. He's just like yeah just told her what happened and they let me go. Excuse me you you went to kill Carroll. Yeah Chicken Down. It was weird. It wasn't going to be no hello. It wasn't going to be any more low key in because Carol's lie. Hello are you cool cats and kittens? I forgot about that. I've read about my cantaloupe asking catchphrase price. I know you're allowed to sort of like Like I can just like entrap people of like like. Hey Brice any anybody that you need to put a hit on. Just let me know okay. I'm not recording. You just tell me and then you go to jail for seventy five years. Yeah and then. What's The guy's name? What's the bad guy who entrapped him? John Joe Jeff Jeff Chap Low and then Jeff Low even amidst that he was like spicing them. Ping that like yeah even said this to get them to say well. That's why so. That's why I feel like Joe is in jail for false pretenses okay. They don't know the whole story. Yeah so I I agree Joe Definitely got screwed on on that because Jeff Lowe also seems like Super. Bad Guy should be in jail. Okay he sneaks baby tiger cubs in hotels to have threesomes with females. I that's not the creepy of the creeps. I don't know what it is. That's very creepy. It does seem like anybody that's attracted to the baby tiger that I feel like that anybody that is sort of like drawn to this idea of like. Oh let me hang out with baby. Tigers seems like Maybe that's a sign that this person is Not on a great track. Unless you're Carol Baskin okay. Hair Baskin's on a great track. So she's the only person that can hang out with these cats and he's tiger cubs but everybody else's bad how however watching this and does this make me a bad person I was like. Oh my God I will WanNa play with a baby if somebody's like. Hey why don't you come to my house and I've got a baby tiger over here. Don't go don't go. It's a trap. I never leave then. Be Joe. Exotic third husband had black one. I mean so Ho- Press. Was there a black person in the entire tiger king show I? I don't think I thought why and I don't even think I thought one going through the Gw zoo either. I don't know I think that the black people should be very proud. Say like this was that this is Has nothing to do with us. This Tiger King. This is your this. Is your mess to all the white people this is. You guys did this be. I don't know I mean it. It just seems like they was down in Oklahoma and that's just how they lived and so it seems like what I was really proud of. The most of Joe was when he was doing magic going to the mall. That's when I thought Joe was at his prime goal into the malls. You know telling the kids not to do drugs. A positive message bringing tigers. Tiger's wasn't enough so he tapped a twelve year old. That was doing magic and the old show the magic and the next thing you know. He was in every mall across the United States. Yeah he just wants to be famous Yeah that's all baby boy was doing. So that's really where the feud started with him and Carol was that he was through these malls. You know doing tiger shows and they were making up to forty thousand dollars per mall appearance and then Carol Baskin and all the her hey kitties. And Katie Cath. She would get them. They're right right emails to the mall and then the mall would no longer went joe bag so that's really what Joe got so upset at Carroll so to get back at carrow Joe was big cat rescue and every time you go to Google Yahoo and you type in big cat. Carol COMES UP. So Joe had this like you know this is really where the downhill spiral for. Joe Started was that he wanted to get back so much carol that he changed the name of his own show of Jill exotic TV sue big cat entertainment and thought he was being slick and use the same background print as Carol thought they. You know. Nobody would gaffer's. Are you worried about this in the PODCAST game? That is somebody gonNA come along and try to start up Purple Pants podcast entertainment and then try to do a different show and then steal all your Google results. Listen they bet Nah okay.
