I also see a crash in both of southbound 405 just south of state route 5 two 7. It's on the right shoulder, but starting to back up from almost I 5 and linwood. Meantime sell 5 in Seattle just slow as you head south of north gate all the way towards Mercer street now and I'm seeing some unusual traffic build on westbound 90 right on the bridge deck as you approach the mount baker tunnel so we might have something new going on there and the hood can not bridge is currently closed to drivers so expect delays if you're headed that direction. "Four 35. A community is now in mourning after a high schooler and rainier native Jesse uch was killed in a car crash. Mojito visited the rainier community. Uch was just 17 years old and it cheerleader at rainier high school. What they promising future. The Thurston county sheriff's office said she was in the passenger seat when an 18 year old driver hit a curb lost control and crashed into another car. He was seriously hurts and is facing DUI charges. What we do know, we feel like it would have been preventable. And that is very hard, something that should not have happened. Members of the community also coming together holding hands and praying for us and her family. And close friends like Shelton will be with them every step of the way. Because I love them. They're family. They're my family, too. And we're here. This weekend, the State Department of Transportation, state patrol and other agencies team up for emphasis patrols. An authorities suspect an 18 year old driving one of the cars was under the influence. This happened on Saturday night on rainier road southeast and the Thurston county sheriff's office arrested that 18 year old driver. They say he was driving north, lost control and a curve crossed the center line and went into oncoming traffic. The impact killed his passenger. The 18 year old driver was processed for suspicion of DUI and his under investigation for vehicular homicide and vehicular assault. Deputies report, the other driver involved a 24 year old woman, has serious injuries. Steve mccarran reporting. One person is in critical condition after a major crash in Federal Way that happened this morning, south of 272nd street along 9 5 south. Investigation into this collision. That state trooper Rick Johnson says the crash involved two cars and a semi truck. The person in critical condition was driving one of the cars. The wreck happened around 5 30 this morning and tied up traffic for most of the morning commute. A Kirkland woman speaking out for the first time since she was raped in her own home. Not fast enough, we track in a storm Saturday night that will spread lowland snow of one to two inches into Sunday morning, and the Commodore weather center meteorologist Kristen Clarke. Sunshine, 35° in Seattle. It's two 36. A dash of snow and an overnight freeze made for a really rough morning commute in a lot of the south sound. Northwest news radio corps when Hank filed this report from some of the worst of it all, around Thurston county. Overnight and into the morning, the temperature remained stubbornly below freezing. So even though only a little bit of snow fell, drivers in the Olympia area woke up to slick icy roads. It was especially icy from Lewis county on south to the Oregon border. Don Hamilton with the Oregon Department of Transportation advises all northwest drivers to remain vigilant. But within two minutes of her arrival, she radioed back in saying she'd been stabbed and had fired at the man. Who attacked her. That deputy was taken to a hospital in stable condition. The man was taken by helicopter. The harbor view, of course, just set off a huge response to come to that. Deputies aided to also render assistance to the man who she'd fired upon at least 20 units is what neighbors who are telling us that they saw go in here. Begin a deputy stabbed in stable condition. "During a confrontation at the home in Yelm tonight. The deputy is in surgery right now, and the man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center couple strolled Marino's live in Yelm tonight with the latest on this investigation, Joel Very impressed. India. That deputy we're told, is in stable condition as she undergoes surgery. She is in her thirties. The man in his forties, was taken by helicopter to be treated at Harborview. It started as an unwanted person report here on Holly Street Southeast. It's some ways down. This is a kind of a dead end street that goes several blocks down, so we're only seeing one end of it. The call came in and someone who was in a home who was not welcome at that home. The deputy showed up, apparently at some point she was stabbed has happened to shortly after eight o'clock. And she then began firing at the subject is what we're being told. I talked to some neighbors who said that they heard a pop pop pop, so at least three gunshots is what we've heard from a couple different neighbors. Who were in the area at the time that this happened Now there is a very large police presence here. At this point, Neighbors told us they've seen at least 20 patrol units that goes well down the street here. We have not had any access down to the house where this happened. We have seen some deputies going around interviewing neighbors collecting additional information. But again, a deputy in her thirties, responding to an unwanted person call at a home here showed up was stabbed. Began shooting at the subject that subject taken by helicopter to harbor view his condition. We do not know at this point, but again, the deputy in stable condition We'll try to get more information from neighbors.

People can gather outside the fence in non restricted areas to practice their free speech. The founder of something called Liberty at all Hazards filed a civil suit and Thurston County Superior Court against The governor. It alleges that articles of the state constitution of being violated because the public is prohibited from accessing the legislative building while the Legislature is in session. Governor Jay Inslee says his immediate priority in this year's legislative session is financial relief, including for businesses, renters and their landlords. And we want to do that fairly quickly. So it doesn't that efforts don't have to wait till the end of the legislative session. We had positive discussions last couple days with legislative leaders and I'm fairly confident we'll get that job done. Fairly quickly. The governor also says he believes we can continue to get more kids back into schools. As long as we follow the safety steps, he says. We've learned do work.
