Judgment Day for the American Economy With Edward Dowd
"Now is Ed dowd author of cause unknown, an author and founder of finance technologies portfolio manager at BlackRock for ten years managing $14 billion equity growth fund. I do want to talk to you today about the vaccine issue. I think it's really interesting. But I want to start with Silicon Valley bank and the bank run that almost happened didn't happen signature bank at how should we think about this? What are the big lessons and what do you think is the most obvious truth in media is missing? This was going to happen regardless. At the end of November of last year, N two money supply did year over year negative growth. Okay, so the last time that happened was 1930 and so this is the 5th time since 1868, that's occurred. And the other four times it happened is associated with financial panics. About a month and a half ago, I put out a tweet talking about we were seeing a setup in the capital markets, different asset classes lining up to agar poor things for financial assets. And SVB just happens to be the headline. And we're going to see what I think is rolling thunder rolling financial crises throughout the next year or two. I think it's going to be a controlled implosion on the way down because the fed and the government are going to come in and do this whack a mole thing. And every time something weird, it's like we had, they're going to respond, the markets will think everything's okay. But I think this is the beginning of the end of the global financial system, as we know, and something new is coming in the next two to three years. I suspect

Putin Blames the West for War in Kiev
"Putin is just delivered the state of the nation speech in Moscow, a day after President Biden's surprise visit to Kyiv in Ukraine, and before President Biden speaks in Poland, the Russian dictator claimed this morning that they started a war. That's a direct quote quote. They the west started a war and we used force and continue to use it to stop it. Throughout the speech, Putin blamed us the west, you and me. Everyone listening to this show for forcing him to invade Ukraine and butcher thousands of people and spend the lives of tens of thousands of Russians and Ukrainians. Kidnapped thousands of children take them back to the already is done. He is blaming on you and me. It's sort of remarkable. The reverberations of Joe Biden's trip to Ukraine and of the speech today continue to thunder across the country and will be the topics of conversation across tables all throughout the day in the United States.

The Latest Front in the Crypto Wars Is Binance-Paxos and BUSD
"All right, Friends, well, the thunder on the horizon has officially become a storm. The U.S. government is on the march and the next front of the crypto wars has officially been opened up around paxos and their relationship with binance. Now, obviously last week's biggest news was kraken's settlement with the SEC. It was big for cracking themselves, obviously, the company had to shut down their staking as a service program and pay a $30 million fine. But the implications for the rest of the industry were really the biggest significance. Some noted the SEC's hypocrisy, lawyer Jason gottlieb tweeted, I find the SEC's all crypto projects have to do is come in and register line unbelievably insulting. It assumes that there's this vast quantity of sophisticated securities lawyers advising clients, nah man screw the SEC yellow baby do whatever you want. Tons of projects and their lawyers desperately want to come in and register. But when they do, they're just told no. Or worse, they draw a wells notice, or as Hester per said, a court date. There is simply no path to registration for many crypto products. The SEC says just register. We say cool but as what? Because the regs just don't fit. In response, we get blank stares, apologies and mumbles that they're not going to give us legal advice. If the new de facto rule is crypto equals no, that rule has to come from Congress or at least through an APA process. Not through enforcement. Going on CNBC to say that registration is just a form on our website is a painful misrepresentation of the registration process. Again, it's just insulting. It brands the whole industry and its lawyers as scofflaws who don't bother following easy rules instead of the reality. People desperately trying to figure out how to offer a product legally and getting zero guidance other than no.

Officials urge evacuation near derailment, fearing explosion
"Officials are calling for additional evacuations near the wreckage of a train derailment in northeastern Ohio. The Ohio governor's office issued a statement and sheriff's deputies went door to door in east Palestine Sunday, warning hundreds of residents remaining within a one mile radius of a train that derailed and caught fire Friday to evacuate. Officials said that one of the railcars was at risk of a catastrophic failure with concerns about a potential explosion and shrapnel. Responders were monitoring by keeping their distance from the fire, but early on, residents like Elizabeth sherry captured the sound of thundering pops and the bellows of smoke lit orange by the fire below. Federal investigators say a mechanical issue with a railcar axle caused the crash about 50 cars were off the track and about ten of those that derailed were carrying hazardous materials, including vinyl chloride. Andrew Klavan Discusses 'The Truth and Beauty'
"Things that I just loved about this book, and there's so many things. But you bring these figures to life. When you describe coleridge and keats and all of them. And I realized that's something that also had fallen out of fashion by the time that I was in college. In the 80s, where we didn't seem to care about these figures as figures. And you sort of you bring them to life. So in some ways, it's not a novel, but there are a lot of fun stories in this book about amazing, crazy, brilliant people trying to work these things out in their lives and in their art. But if you think about it, Britain is an island the size of Oregon. And on it in this one generation, or it's two generations of the same time, is coleridge, wordsworth, Blake, Shelley, keats and Byron. The 6th greatest poets in the English language besides Shakespeare and Milton are all living together on this island. And so they're all nuts because they're poets. They're wild men. They're falling apart half the time. Coleridge is an absolute ruin of a human being. Byron has screwing everybody male or female, he can get his hands on. Shelly wants to be doing that. But isn't quite. And then, and one of the people that I deal with is Mary Shelley, one of my favorite chapters in the book is on Frankenstein because Mary Shelley adores Shelley. She adores this man she's run off with his left his wife and she's run off with them. And she adored and worshiped her father and now she adores and worship Shelley. And he's basically treating her as Byron and Shelley treated all the women they came in. He was basically like crap. And he believes in free love and he doesn't know why she's so depressed when her children die. He's depressed. She's not paying attention to him. And she writes this book, Frankenstein, where she says it's about a man who tries to steal God's thunder by creating life. But I point out that we all create people create life. We create life of the things that we have. What Frankenstein, what doctor Frankenstein does is increase life without a woman. And her nightmare is essentially the nightmare of femininity, the female aspect of life and femininity and womanhood, becoming obsolete.

Day 361 of The Bible in a Year: Judgment and Repentance
"We're reading revelations chapters 8, 9, ten, and 11, as well as Feynman and proverbs 31 versus 16 through 18. The revelation to John, chapter 8 the 7th seal and the golden sensor. When the lamb opened the 7th seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. Then I saw the 7 angels who stand before God, and 7 trumpets were given to them. And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden sensor, and he was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne, and the smoke of the incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God. Then the angel took the sensor and filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it on the earth, and there were peels of thunder, loud noises, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake. The 7 angels and 7 trumpets. Now the 7 angels who had the 7 trumpets made ready to blow them. The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed hail and fire mixed with blood, which fell on the earth, and a third of the earth was burnt up, and a third of the trees were burnt up. In all the green grass was burnt up. The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the fountains of water. The name of the star is wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died of the water because it was made bitter. The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light was darkened. A third of the day was kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night. Then I looked, and I heard an eagle crying with a loud voice, as it flew in mid heaven, wow, wow, woe to those who dwell on the earth. At the blasts of the other trumpets, which the three angels are about to blow.

Day 360 of The Bible in a Year: Heavenly Worship
"We're reading revelations four 5 6 and 7, Titus one two and three, proverbs chapter 31 versus ten through 15. The revelation to John, chapter four the heavenly worship. After this, I looked and behold in heaven and open door. And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, come up here. And I will show you what must take place after this. At once I was in the spirit, and behold a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne. And he who sat there appeared like Jasper and carnelian, and round the throne was a rainbow that looked like an emerald. Round the throne were 24 Thrones, and seated on the Thrones were 24 elders, clothed in white garments, with golden crowns upon their heads. From the throne issued flashes of lightning and voices and peels of thunder, and before the throne burned 7 torches of fire, which are the 7 spirits of God. And before the throne there is, as it were, a sea of glass, like crystal. And round the throne, on each side of the throne are four living creatures, full of eyes and front and behind. The first living creature, like a lion. The second living creature, like an ox. The third living creature, with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature, like a flying eagle. And the for living creatures, each of them with 6 wings are full of eyes all round and within, and day and night they never cease to sing holy, holy, holy, is the lord God almighty, who was and is and is to come. And whenever the living creatures give Gloria and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the 24 elders fall down before him was seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne singing worthy are you, our lord and God. To receive glory and honor and power for you created all things, and by your will, they existed and were created.

Aaron Rodgers 22 at 30 for 229 yards and the touchdown to fuel optimism over the seasons last month in Green Bay. So I won two and just about everything we've needed to happen has gone our way. It was just a lot of fun just being out there playing against guys I've been playing with and coaching staff that I've been with my whole career and really helped me grow to be who I am today. Amanda Milius on the Need for Conservative Political Cinema
"Is exciting. I don't know if he can bring tectonic change because without free and fair social media, we simply do not have free and fair elections. People don't read newspapers anymore. It is social media that is crucial. However, talk to me about, are you seeing any positive signs that conservatives are starting to understand and focus on the skill sets of communication of what you do, that touching the heartstrings with the truth that we know to be eternal, or are we still in the initial stages? I look at your work. I look at dinesh's 2000 mules. I look at Matt Walsh's, what is a woman? And I see great products, but I see three films out of 3000, how much of an uphill battle will this be and does the right even begin to understand what you are doing? Well, yeah, I mean, especially since two of the ones you mentioned are more like homework assignments, you know, where it's like, we have some news. They can't get out of the idea that there's some news or political argument that they want to make. And so they just put it on video, ignoring all the craft of cinema and of controlling and manipulating emotions through the visual arts. And then they just, really, they're more like videos, very expensive videos. So, and I say this not because, you know, I don't believe in competitiveness amongst the conservative filmmakers. I believe in more voices, not less. And I believe we need an industry. So there must be more companies than just mine. But I don't see so I've heard this. I've heard this for 5 years now from the likes of Andrew Cleveland. We have to build. We have to build our ecosystem. Andrew clavin has never been to an art school, or maybe even an art museum in his life. I'm never in film school and has no idea what a good film. Like, that's the thing. Don't bash Andrew here. The problem is, it's like these people. The point I want to make is, a, do we want to build an alternative universe? And B we have to. But who's going to fund it? I don't see that. Billionaire. I agree. And that's the issue, and I've had a very surprising interaction with a handful of thunders. Surprising not so good because they are more fearful of the culture war than they are of the political war, which is crazy. But yeah, so I think that's been a little bit disappointing. What does that mean? Well, it means that they're like, you know, a little bit more skittish about what does that mean for us? For the nation. It's not good.

"No way. Not happening. No, no, no, no, nope. Avoid the highlight reel, just let them have it. Run the other way. That's my motto. Get it back on the other end. Yep, exactly. All right guys, I think that we've covered quite a bit tonight. Obviously, a nice Lakers win a blowout win. Win, where in the fourth, he's a rare, where in the fourth quarter? He's a rare. We got to kick back. Well, how many games have we had that the Lakers have won of their 14 wins? How many of them have been close in the fourth quarter where we're just sweating it, where they or they went into overtime or double overtime triple over time. And we're just living a diet with every shot and by the time you get through your exhausted, this was very much a relaxed kickback fourth quarter compared to what we've seen in the past. So the Lakers get the win. It's nice to come on here and talk a little Lakers basketball after a solid win, a dominant win. Now again, the thunder are not a good team, but still, we've seen the Lakers lose to bad teams, including the thunder twice. So it was good to see the Lakers come in there and get a win next up Sunday is the Orlando Magic. Another team that's not trying to win. Organizationally, they are rebuilding. But they've also got some players who can take it to you, particularly a garden named Cole Anthony who's been doing a really nice job this season. So the magic are going to be a team. I mean, not worry about, but this is the kind of team that you can lose to if you don't show up. That you shouldn't lose to. You should beat them if you play them 99 times, you should probably beat them 97 times. I'm sorry, if you play it a hundred times, you should probably beat them 97 bucks. Say YG. Oh, I didn't go 99. I don't know. It's been a day. But in any event, I'm still not a Dalvin cook. If you're gonna play this team, though, and not show up, you could find yourself in trouble. So again, we don't know which Lakers team's gonna show up on any given night, but that's what's coming up on Sunday. Should be a win. Sure, it should be. But you never know. I'll be back on here upset because they like his loss. I'm already gonna just hopefully that's not the case. I would like to be on these things a little happier. People ask him, is Anthony Davis going to be there? We don't know. We'll have to wait and see how his knees feeling. He tried to play in today's game, tested it out, was a no go. Hopefully he's feeling better by Sunday. Yeah. Again, should be a game should be heavy bold italicize underline should be, again, the Lakers win, but we'll see. And yeah, I mean, again, I think that the Lakers have proven that every game is completely different from the other. And so while they have momentum, theoretically heading into Sunday, we're just not too sure yet..

And that's right before we start the the monolith which is a signature event been part of the championship every year. Well next a real quick. I just want to censor stolen the knicks games. And i do want to give a shout out to our taco andrew who it's not gonna be the same without him out there this year longtime fro great guy and had a lot of fun stories. We share a couple of months on the show when he passed but It's gonna be a little bit playing games this year without knowing that it was not going to be there But yeah actually just gave me chills. You say that the opportunity to get to know him over. The last eight nine years has been an absolute privilege. Someone that has seen so much and and You know it's just recognized when he comes in here but Yeah definitely miss I think dan ross actually has some stuff that the family provided him. he's going to have. Here's some different News articles clipping things But Dan does have something that'll be here. Thunder valley That kind of goes over the career of the plane. Career of tahoe. I think that'll be kind of neat for people to see whether here. I suppose i shouldn't make any fun. Comments about scott having to pay me half of his winnings and now you sort of made all somber on me there. I was about to launch into something really cool there but let's move on. So what are the things that i like about the tournament too. Is you know you do do some interesting things with limit and omaha and things like that but you also put twists on your moment. Events like the monolith the action eight the multi day events. So tell us a little bit about some of those events in either how they came about or what you like about him. Yeah sure so. The biggest field will very likely be the model. That's four sixty bind started as the you know our our deep stack event when we first started doing things. And then it kind of transformed into what we call the monolith and people say you know what the name It's it's a single standing stones at the end. Someone's going to be standing and that's going to be the winner of the model but the It's an event where we look at. The structure payout advanced ten percent of the field pace. Twelve and a half. See play into the money on day one and just kind of you know working with the by and the and the guarantee for four sixty by and a two hundred fifty thousand dollar guarantee..

"Never get charged. They find kill themselves before or face. Criminal charges often or not enough faced with mounting evidence against them and the possibility of a death penalty. Don goodman struck a deal with the prosecutors becoming their star witness and giving up the healthier brothers in exchange for a lighter punishment after agreeing to testify against justin and taylor. She was sentenced to thirty eight years to life in prison. So that's the lighter sentence which good fucker. She was a piece of shit right. According to several news outlets don's testimony against the elder brothers was so sickening that the judge at one point asked for a quote collective deep breath before work before continuing. Yes so don't blame. Yeah oh one hundred percent like she was going into detail about all that stuff. I talked about and i would also need a collective breath right in march two dozen four shortly before his trial was about to be in taylor. Helzer entered a surprise. Guilty plea with his defense attorney reading aloud. An impromptu confession to a stunned courtroom justin helzer on the other hand pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to the eleven charges that a jury had convicted him of during his trial. He was portrayed by both his lawyer and his family members as a mentally ill and vulnerable man coerced into the murders by his more gregorious older brother which in some ways is fair but you can only take that so far in my opinion like right you can be manipulated by your actions or your actions and you can one hundred percent. Say no at any point in that so especially the severity of the crimes that you committed. Exactly you can't. It's just it's just a cop out. Excuse yeah it's one thing if you're in a store and your brothers like you won't steal that lollipop or something like one thing. It's like all right like yeah. You're probably could coerced into it and It's a shitty thing but it's not the worst thing in the world but if my brother was like hey come murder these people with me. It'd be like fuck. I'm calling the police like you're you're absolutely going to a psychiatrist. Who had interviewed him even tested that justin had a delusional disorder which led him to believe. That taylor was genuinely a prophet of god and thus the killings they committed were morally wrong. Yeah shortly before sentencing. Justin reportedly told the court that quote. I want this to be over. I want to die. I'm being truthful. I'm sorry i'm not trying to be rude. I just wanna be free. I want freedom or death end quote and the court obliged with these resigned words. He was sentenced to the death penalty on august fourth. Two thousand and four four years to the day that the last victim in the murder spree was killed. It was noted that as the verdict read aloud both jurors and his loved ones cried openly while the family members of his victims celebrated all in all justin. Hauser received three death sentences for the role that he played in the five murders on april fourteen. Two thousand thirteen forty-one-year-old justin houser was found dead in his cell at san quentin prison after tying his bedsheet to the cell bars to form a makeshift news. This had been his second suicide attempt with the first one leaving him blind after he stabbed his eyes with pens and pencils in a statement released to the press. Contra costa county chief assistant directive attorney home. my god County chief towns was there and then assistant directive attorney. It's like you can shorten the name like come on guys. Droop will see sure herald jute said quote in. No sense of the word. Was justin helzer a victim nonetheless. The origin of the obvious torment he experienced in prison. Reflected in self mutilation and now suicide clearly rests of the doorstep of his older brother taylor and quote so he's basically saying everything that happened to justin rest on shoulder on the shoulders of his older brother. Which is fair. because if he didn't have that influence none of this would have ever happened. Right taylor. Hauser remains on death row at california's san quentin state prison. They'll further updates have been made since his sentencing. It isn't known either if he continues to believe that he as a prophet of god has been entrusted with killing the leadership of the mormon church. One thing is for certain. Though his staunch belief in these led to the horrifying deaths of five people and may have cost his younger brothers life as well and that is the story of the children of thunder called took an amazing name and ruined it forever. That is so dark. Yeah definitely one of the darker ones. I've covered yeah. I don't know what to say. Like i'm glad that they were punished. And he is still being punished. I have some sympathy towards his brother with just the understanding that i know what manipulation can do to a person and he was definitely manipulated. But that's still no excuse for what he did. Don on the other hand thirty years. I said this is two thousand and one. So she's You know she's still got a couple more years after quite a quite a few. Um we'll hope it had dawned on her that her life has fucked. I think that's all we need to say on. That topic is fucked. Five people's lives up. That don't deserve it. Well more than that if you think like their families their friends like murdering one person effects. Everybody exactly it's terrible. Like and i don't know where they were going for. They should have gone with the brazilian kids plan. I think in the end back to create it create an army of brazilian assassins. Assassins to kill the mormon church leaders. Take the kids. I mean this is fucked up. Don't listen to me guys. Take like you know if they were going to adopt those brazilian kids out of life of poverty. At least give them some sort of purpose in life these bad ass assassins but again the listen to me. It was a joke. If i'm i'm thinking about it i don't know if they were treated a much better than they would be absolutely but at least they would have the chance to hopefully get to america and maybe find a better way of living like they could assassinate their masters and bam exactly which which is another whole. Actually now that i think about it is none of them were assassins. How are they going to train these kids to be exactly exactly. Send them to jujitsu school for a couple of years. I don't know. Oh my god anyway john. You know what it's time for. We've talked about these shitty people for about an hour now and it's time to rate their called because society doesn't know how to quantify things unless you read it with a point system so out of five stars. How would you rate the children of thunder and this is not. Because i think they're cool. Okay but i won't give them with three three out of five stars okay for to for the following reasons. One the one star given right because they're shitty but give them a two star because they do have a coup last name. I'm not gonna lie. Fuck and the third part is seems like they're all their plan kind of came to shit at the very end because of the organization of their organization kinda led to their end. But i did think that there were more a high level in terms of plot as compared to others other costa. You've talked about in the past. It's more like high level thinking it's like okay if we extort money we do this even though like the initial planner kind of idiotic but in the grand scheme of things had it worked out. Dow was a pretty good plan. If you've had it worked out no. I think that's a fair rating. I wasn't even going to go that high..

"And and not knowing where it was coming from but assuming it was to hide from his ex and and and then go on a nice vacation and hopefully get to know her boyfriend and then it ends ray ends in her life basically which is fucking terrible and goes to show you just what a piece of ship this guy. He's one of those exactly cult leaders. I talk about. And i'm going to say like this is not like victim blaming it all but you know it's just it's just hard to kind of explain the reasoning why someone would be that trusting initially specially if they don't want to divulge like complete information about them themselves for them to help them out but again i'm not trying to victim blame them because i'm actually watching this show now. It's been out for while. I think it's called dirty john. I don't know if you've ever you're seeing it live tells me it's about me. It's pretty much the same. Like i'm i'm only in the fifth episode of the first season. But it's pretty much about the same. This person kind of lied about. His personality lied about his way. He's about and he pretty much trick. The the girl to give him all her assets or share all the assets with them. And and this is it all comes to how terrible some people can get and it's just taking advantage of someone's kindness. Someone's heart to help you out on your time of need and you're just going to take advantage of that. Some people are just felt man. No i get what you're saying like. It's it sucks because we shouldn't be in a position where we have to say. Don't trust people as much as if it was a world full of selena's and no taylor's like the world would be such a better exactly but it sucks that it's like there are taylor's out there so you have to keep the people like selena on their toes and like prepare question things because there are a terrible terrible people at their and it's fucked up. What the stuff they'll do till the manipulate people who just trust in like goodhearted people who could never even fathom someone doing something so horrible. And i think it's also a lot of reasons why people are so jaded nowadays thinking so hard to be more open and be more transparent with people would be more vulnerable. Because there's a history of people like taylor that will do fucked up shit like this and it sucks because we won't be able to advance society as a whole because we're so distrusting of people like this you know. This is unfortunate. I do feel bad for selena on and you're right like a soloist like she. She kind of went out like in a dreamlike scenario. But she doesn't deserve any of that stuff you know. No no she she. One hundred percent deserve best life and like to have someone respected her and deserved her honesty. And and you know back back kind of a girlfriend is just. It's terrible that she happened to stumble upon this piece of shit. and taylor. Yeah he is. He's still alive but we will get to that god. Please don't do well. I don't think he'll be able to the children of thunders murder. Spree was far from over though their next mark was selena's mother forty-five-year-old jennifer Ville lowering who knew about the bank accounts that her daughter had opened on behalf of her boyfriend in the wee hours of august. Fourth taylor drove to selena's studio apartment where her mother was staying with a fifty four year. Old man named james gamble. The two were mercilessly shot at point blank. Range with a beretta nine millimeter which prompted an upstairs neighbor to call nine one one. So part of me is like all right. You've slit people's throats already. Why did you use a gun in a very heavily populated area like right. My mind went to you. Planned all this shit out and then you just kind of fucked up by not being quieter. I don't like i. S fucked up. Think about but that's all i do is study fucked up people. So what else do you think. Maybe they did that. Because they didn't know a lot of times when they do murder investigations they look for a motive and they look for some sort of otis of how they do their killings. Maybe they wanted to it. Because they're probably not gonna they're not gonna find this chick selena like right away and they might not be able to tie the same type of murder because it's like okay. Selena was like brutally killed. Must be something but then the the mom was just an execution style. Kind of stuff like maybe. They can't correlate the two together. I i would have a hard time believing that 'cause they were dating right and like there were people who knew they were dating and then on top of that. The two people that elderly couple he killed were directly like they knew him directly so i think it would have been pretty quickly that they would be able to be like. Oh it's definitely this dude with the weird cult killing he knows directly so i don't i think they started off with a good plan you know and then analyzing it as as kind of pointless because it's like it's disgusting like no matter what matter we put it. It's they. They had a terrible plan. They d- they shouldn't have killed anyone and they should have. Just you know gone to the woods like every other fucking cult and you know been terrible to themselves instead of outwardly terrible. I'm more okay with that. I feel i still feel bad for the followers but at least they're doing harm within and not to the world as a whole which i think is slightly better backs by the time. Emergency services arrived though. Taylor has already escaped on august fourth. Two thousand nancy hall. The steinman daughter reported her parents missing after they failed to pick up any frantic phone calls that same day k. Shame in who lived next door to the helzer brothers claimed to have seen her neighbors driving a truck to which trailer with jetski was attached. She also testified that there were duffle bags on the truck bed as well as one on the lap of the man in the passenger seat. Now in my mind. I'm like i don't know why that raises red flags because like visa jet ski and then a bunch of like duffle bags i wouldn't be i mean there's there's bodies in that rate something's off. They're he's going to the lake. I would assume like oh. There's probably wetsuits or something. Like i have no idea. A few days later on august. Sixth chevrolet lumina minivan owned by. The steinman was found by the police in the nearby industrial neighborhood. In addition to a chainsaw and saw horse they were able to lift several fingerprints. That were founded to be justin hauser's and don goodman's based on court testimony. That same day of children. A thunder hired a professional carpenter cleaner to scrub their living room. Claiming that the re large red blotch on their carpet was kool-aid so linked back to my very first episode. According to bill who was made to clean the stain justin and dawn had been sitting calmly in the kitchen eating a snack while watching him work. So very very creepy. I would hate to watch getting watch while i was doing some work. Yeah oh yeah. My dad does construction. Says biggest pet peeve is when they just watch stand at the bottom of the ladder or something and just stare at you like something could fall like easily fall on you please back up. I hope it does that sometimes. Well that's true but then you're liable exactly. On the morning of august. Seventh police officers raided the home that the children thunder had been renting in search of the gun. That had been used to kill jennifer. The laron and james gamble instead they found ton of a a ton of ecstasy hallucinogenic mushrooms and other similar paraphernalia which were enough to have the trio arrested on drug possession. Charges taylor attempted to escape. Twice vos as quickly dragged down by authorities as the day progressed more and more evidence was found that linked the trio to the murders of the steinman 's the duffel bag containing the couples remains were also unearthed from the moluccan mccollum river which excerbated the police believe that the children of thunder were behind the horrific killings in december. Two thousand and one all three members of the children of thunder were charged with eighteen different felonies which included murder extortion and kidnapping. I am very happy that they were convicted. Because that does not often happen with with Murders let alone cults cults..

"And where the Lakers with the exception of the Nuggets. They have not really played a team in the last couple of weeks that has that guy off and it's it's led to Great Performances room for a mantra Sarah. Yeah. I mean, I I love him. He's been he's been really good all year and there there were a few bad games here and there but overall the energy he brings the passion. He brought a hustle he plays with he is exactly the type of guy that this Lakers team needed and they needed him tonight. He every everything he did was absolutely vital to help you out the well, yeah, they don't win this game without him. You're not in this game without Montrezl Harrell no question. You did mention. There are some bad matchups next game may actually be one of those Jonas Valanciunas can be a really tough guy to handle in the post with his size. They also have a springy guy in Brandon. Clark that'll get out there and jump over your so it'll be interesting to see the match up with the Grizzlies. I don't know if Valanciunas playing thirty minutes a night. I don't think you can run treze against him. You can defend him with faith Davis if a d is back but as we saw tonight the Lakers just said look lady. You're still a little bit slower sit down, right? And by the way, I think that was the right call. I have zero issue with that and same thing with chrome, right? There's no reason to put those guys on the floor if they're not a hundred percent in a game in February against the Oklahoma City Thunder you're much better off letting them heal up and then have them at 100% when they do step down on the floor and not risk something long-term happening. So I think that was the right call for the Lakers but Montrezl Harrell big performance tonight with a d gone if 80 is gone on Friday. I think it will be a much taller task force. Yeah, Jonas Valanciunas is a really good player and they they play him a lot in Memphis. He is a 30-minute at night type of guy so it'll be difficult. I'm interested to see what he's able to do Thursday. If Anthony Davis cannot go which if it were up to me, I wouldn't play him again on Friday. I would I would wait it out until Sunday against the Nuggets but I'm interested to see what my life was able to do against a team like the Grizzlies that is more constructed to against his strengths rather than the Thunder who are just built for him to dominate. However, he feels yeah exactly. I'm just seeing a tweet came in from Dave mcmenamin saying that Lebron after playing three forty-minute games in a row. The Lakers have denied media availability for LeBron. James can just go home and go to sleep tonight. It doesn't have to talk after this one. I don't blame him. He's got to be exhausted run. I think it is time though to get into our third man of the night. Maybe we just talked about em, Let's get into it here. Third Man of the night. Let's let me find that one. Where did I put it? There? It is. Here we go..

"By having smaller goals instead of hey, we just want to win this game. Hey, I know more than five offensive rebounds tonight for the thunder right go out there and shut down their offensive board work. And if that happens then there's there's a reward at the end. There's something that that we're going to do that we're going to achieve as a team if we can limit their offensive boards, and that's the the way that you can kind of keep a team motivated in the middle of what can be a grind of a season is let them focus in on one specific way like like Frank Vogel already did it where he said if you get three free throws by pump-faking your guy into the air which is ironically exactly what kcp fell for at the end of the game. Then you get the next day off and Kyle kuzma one that in the last game and it turned out that everybody had the next day off, but that's something the Lakers have been working towards so maybe Frank Vogel can make some sort of a bet with the team. Limiting the offensive rebounds because something's got to be done there. That is like just like you said something that's got to be cleaned up right away. Yeah, and I think look regardless of who plays on Wednesday. The Lakers have enough Firepower on the roster to beat the Thunder no matter what so it's really not about the winner the loss. It's can you clean up these small issues and if you clean up the small issues then you'll probably win the game because you're just a better team. Yeah, that's it. That's it. Clean up all the little things and then and then you'll be just fine. If you can do that, right the margin for error is what we talked about a lot. The Lakers have a very wide margin of error against the Thunder game against say the box or the Clippers or or the seventy-sixers or any of the top teams. The margin for error is very small if you come out and you shoot really well and you rebound well, but you commit theft deterrent overs against the Bucks you might lose that game right just because you were bad in that one area against the Thunder if you do everything well, but you're bad in one specific area. You're still going to win that game and Probably pretty easily. But if you're bad in multiple areas tonight was points in the paint. It was turnovers. It was the offensive rebounds. That's where you can get yourself into some trouble the three-point shooting. So for the Lakers if she could clean up two of those areas should just League average from 3 and cut cut the offensive rebounds in half broke a c they're going to win that game. They're going to win that game handily, I think Yeah, even if LeBron in a deer out, they they if they play clean basketball. They should win. Yeah, absolutely absolutely should be a win. In fact, the next two games should be wins. Well, Memphis is better Memphis is better than what we saw last time around because now they've got ja Morant back there playing good basketball, so that will be a more difficult one. All right, we're going to do one more question..

"Is the Lakers Nation live postgame show Welcome in from YouTube from Facebook from a periscope. If you guys are listening to the Apple podcast version of this after-the-fact. Make sure you do rate review And subscribe tonight. We're going to be taking your questions and comments but the Lakers overtime win. Yeah, and I had to go to overtime against the Oklahoma City Thunder that's three overtime periods in the last two games. I do not know what we deserve what we did to deserve that but joining me today, we've got run a government Ron. How are you doing man? Doing good. I'm kind of sick of these games running so late cuz of all the overtimes but you know wins win. Yeah. I mean, I guess that that's the important job. Like the Lakers got the way they put another win on their record, which does matter I talked about this in my pregame video today about how important it is that you win these games that you are supposed to and you just buffer your record with with some winds so that way if you hit a rough stretch in the schedule where you're playing some better teams and maybe you go, you know, three and two or two and three or something like that. It's not going to hurt you that bad because you've already stacked up so many weapons on your record. So it's important that they got the win in this one. But also I have a feeling Lakers fans are going to be pretty frustrated that they've got another overtime game against another team that is probably the worst in the NBA. I mean, you played the Detroit Pistons and the Oklahoma City Thunder and went to overtime twice and and one of them went double o t i mean that's that's a little bit crazy. Yeah, it's definitely it's definitely a lot of overtimes to deal with. I mean big thing to remember know Anthony Davis no Alex Caruso tonight, but you still you still should be able to take care of team this and regulation for sure absolutely should and that's already what I'm seeing in.
