"Dividing the temple description in half. This is probably an intentional move by the author to illustrate a sad point. Solomon has a divided heart. There was also a hint toward this in yesterday's reading when the canaanite laborers worked in ships where they spent one month working on the temple followed by two months working on his house and according to today's descriptions his house is much larger granted houses. The whole physical people have to be larger than ones that house. god's spirit and a few small pieces of furniture so it's reasonable that it might take longer and be larger but this interruption of the narrative is probably there to tell us about what's happening in solomon's heart. He uses a lot of the same resources for his house and he doesn't just build a house. He builds a whole palace complex and its majestic. He has his own palace. His wife's palace a throne hall and the hall of pillars while his father david had humble roots as a shepherd solomon was boozy maybe a little too buji like the boozy est and it becomes a problem for him will read more about that in the future. We jump back into the descriptions of the temple furniture. You can see how they've come a long way from the tabernacle. This temple is gorgeous. Solomon hires the most skilled craftsmen and for the bronze items uses an artist named hiram not to be confused with king hiram tyra where he got the cedar trees hiram doesn't just have skill he has wisdom and understanding to and you may recall from our lengthy tabernacle descriptions that god empowered vessel in exodus. Thirty one along those same lines. It says i have filled him with the spirit of god with ability and intelligence with knowledge. And all craftsmanship when you have a task as important as this. It's vital to choose not only the person with talent but with wisdom and understanding for a role related to the temple character and integrity seemed to be even more important than skill. I kings seven. Forty eight is kind of confusing because it says solomon made all the vessels. But it's more likely that. He just commissioned the making of them as far as we know he wasn't a blacksmith. Who's probably more into things like binge-watching jeopardy feeling smarter than all. The contestants solomon also commissions all the work that has to be done around the temple as part of the temple complex that includes the bronze basin which holds somewhere between twelve thousand and eighteen thousand gallons. That's about as much as the average swimming pool. But this is like an above ground pool suspended on the backs of twelve bronze oxen. I know it sounds lovely. But i doubt you'd get that approved. Hoa solomon also makes tin lamp stands or minora's even though god only asked for one there are so many other details and extravagant decorations in fact in the nineteen eighties. Someone discovered what was believed to be one of the pomegranates mentioned in second chronicles sport. Thirteen and the israel museum which is like the smithsonian bought it for over half a million dollars. It was the size of a thumb in case you want to see what the temple might have looked like. We've linked to short video demonstration in the show notes. It's about five minutes long and it's really helpful. Granted the images of the chair them leave a lot to be desired. And even the video's creator himself admits to that. But i didn't have time to make my own computerized rendering of the first temple so this will have to suffice. And if you want to see a real approximation of what this might have looked like. We'll also linked to a separate short video just to give you a visual. This video shows an entirely different temple from this time period but it's made of some of the same materials. It was a pagan temple in syria. Five hundred miles north of jerusalem and it was just discovered in nineteen fifty five. It was the most well preserved temple from that time period but then it was destroyed by air strikes during the syrian civil war in twenty eighteen based on how closely resembles the bible's blueprint for solomon's temple lots of historians think either this temple's design influence salomon or solid design. Influence this one. What was your god shot today. This was a tough day for finding god wasn't it. Here's where i saw him. I kings seven. Twenty one describes the to exterior pillars of the temple which faces east. It says he set up the pillar on the south and called its name jae-kun and he set up the pillar on the north and called. Its name boaz. The name jagan means you will establish and the name. Boaz means in strengh he will establish in strength at the place where you would have entered. God's house where you draw near his presence as you pass through the columns holding it up you would have been reminded that god initiated all of this and that he is sustaining it and what he initiates will not only be sustained it will be fulfilled because he's doing it in strength. I don't want to spoil this beautiful new temple for you. But i'm going to it gets destroyed but dino doesn't get destroyed god's presence with his people that temple was always meant to be a temporary house for him he doesn't dwell in buildings anymore. He dwells in his people. And did you know that he marks us with the very same promise. Philippians one six says it. This way he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion. At the day of christ jesus he will establish in strength established in strength established in him kept secure until the day of christ. Siamese Revolution of 1932

"The day. Was June twenty-fourth Nineteen thirty two? The Siamese political party rots Adine, or the People's Party overthrew the government of King Rama, the seventh, ending seven Hundred Years of absolute monarchy under the kings of Yom. The bloodless coup resulted in the introduction of democracy, the first constitution of Thailand. Since seventeen, eighty, two the kingdom. Or Modern Day Thailand have been ruled by the Chakri Dynasty beginning with Rama, the I who founded the capital city Bangkok. Throughout the nineteenth century, much of Southeast Asia was colonized by the British. French and Dutch crm was never subjected to colonial rule. But Rama the fifth who reigned from eighteen, sixty, eight to nineteen, ten, set out to modernize the kingdom. He introduced social and governmental reforms that were based on western models. The old ruling families rejected his reforms, but from the mid eighteen eighty s to the early nineteen hundreds. In nineteen twelve, a group of military officers conspired to overthrow the king, but the plot failed. There is debate over the main causes of the nineteen thirty two revolution, but the rise of western educated commoner elites who become dissatisfied with politics in CSM played a significant role in the event. Rama the seventh ascended the throne in nineteen, twenty, five, He created the Supreme Council of state made up of senior princes who had served in previous administrations. They quickly let go of commerce who had been appointed in the civil service and military. During Rama the seventh rule, returning Western educated students grew disillusioned with the status quo. "So go check it out. Come see us do this shit live. It's usually interesting to say the least swerved check it out, and we've got some, some fun things to include for the for the live shows as well. So definitely check those out. And then go over to the Heimer building on Sunday doors at six show at seven four. Another booze clues this our third episode. We're going to be recording. So go to the dark room and check us out. You can be in the crowd as we investigate the world's most spirited headlines. On the last one. That's right. And we talked you give to be Nick age. That's gold said on there like we're doing booze clues. But he could easily been cocaine clues. I mean like its cage. Yeah. All right. So getting to thrones yet we want to talk about the controversy on the on the last episode. I get that out of the way, I think kind of. Kind of on everybody's? It's ridiculous. Is there anybody that signed that petition going around say to reduce season? They were doing a petition before the finale that's just picked up steam, sorry that you're dragging show, you know, Indian do way that you wanted to do. Firefly got one-season. Yeah. I'll e by friend nameless. But he pretty much said that if we're already spoiler alert that point of we're spoilers. He pretty much say that if John snow, the show didn't end with him on the throne that he takes back everything he ever said good about the show and my thing is so show that you've watched for years and years, because of being unpredictable and not going to direction you want. If it doesn't go the direction you want. Then fuck that show that doesn't make any fucking set. You could I could not have said it any better like the fact that John snow was the obvious choice for the throne was a guaranteed was not going to be the person on the throne hall. Misdirect. Yeah. Again, there's a lot of misdirection. I mean, I honestly didn't think that he would be on the throne, but I didn't expect brand. I think I I yelled at the TV I would just like what I wasn't. Stoked out brand. The more it went into the seasons, probably like episode three, I'm just like, you know, dude, I personally really want. John to be outcome of him on the throne, and then it was said, perfectly in little meeting. Brought Tyrian out and everything and I wasn't expecting brand. That was like the huge surprise for me. And I love being surprised by show that does has surprised me in the past a lot. But not like I don't like to the extent that they did with him. But also like he was right. That was the wheel need to be broken like the whole bloodline thing automatic grants. You write a passion to be the king, and he was the only person left to have the right as far as by that mentality to be king, but, like the whole introduction voting and all that stuff in, like how they laugh at we should create democracy. Old white men. Where where where we are? Yeah. Exactly close home. And also, the fact that, that guy shot down, but it did bring up the now, people will be voted in versus being automatically born into being Peter. That is not suited to be a leader. So that was really cool. He can't pass down kids. I mean that's the thing. I mean. Before I get to my other sausa- being like his dicta at work. Out. Had the same reaction when it happened. What the? Bucket out like that. Something we talked about after the meeting. Just because my legs don't work. Shit. Don't dig don't work. All right. But the other thing of, you know, saying, oh, brand has the who has the best. It's like you got aria she joined murder Colt and kill the knights king. And then sauna mice king. It was so nice. Humira friends. He just wanna make night in ice. Yeah. So yes, she killed the mates king, and then sauna everything that she went through John. He with. Reborn. He was came back from the dead. He's a fucking zombie. Now. They all have great sores oh brand. Got pushed out of a, because he saw these two people fucking. Oh, okay. That's a cool story king. I was a little bit disappointed with the kind of like impotent way that they treated John snow towards the end of the series. Like, what it started to remind me of is a little higher learning. John snow, is the Nazi where like at first Beninese. Yeah. That sounds like a good idea. I guess I'll do that. And then people like DNR is fucking evil. You should kill her. Sounds like a good idea. I think I'll do that. Just got pushed around in the end. They're like, yeah, you're going back to the Nightwatch dick for doing this stuff. I just followed. I just did what everyone told me to do now. I will say it looked like he was kinda kinda bitch out there till the very end of conversation Tyrian when it came up are your sisters going to do are the ability, and that was a turning point because up to that point like what can I do? Girlfriend, and she's, you know. Well, I mean your girlfriend's gonna fucking murder the last bits of your family. You might wanna like step up to the plate bitch. I mean. Yeah. Like seriously like that's and that's the turning point four. But I mean most of that conversation he's having what you're in. You're just like God damnit, he's I can do shit, you. Well, I think you could also see that conflicted with them when, you know, she's saying, her little conquering speech of how they're gonna conquer everything. She says from winter fell to Dohrn they go to him. He's just kind of like, hey, I don't I don't like that winter, we, we, we hold up different winter, Phil. I don't know about 'cause. I how how Di pretty. Like the two blood strand down her mouth and like everyone else has been gutted before. Like throwing spray coughing. Like in John's face. Yeah. No. She was like tool drips dribbles down. Really fuck this. I thought for a minute, they're gonna aria was gonna show up right after that. And they were gonna lift her up and do a wing Bernie's thing, where she walks out of the crowd, and says, I'm good. You should go and drag it just by the way in charge. Now, let's just walk around a little bit. Oh, speaking of aria that leads me up to I am a little bummed about they, they didn't touch into her Merckel side, sincere six and the season six, when that was when I wish you killed what fed what's his face is his sons right in the pies like that was the last time you saw utilize that. And there's tons of times could utilize getting a seven. I mean she literally takes out that whole house. So at the beginning seven six okay. Well, seven when lake six beginning of seven okay. That's That's what what I I meant. meant. He's like, let's drink. We've talking did it. We murdered children and women and they're like cool. I guess I'll drink and then everybody's dead. So it's like I feel like with how much was going on it with the story moved like that could have been utilized. You know, some when she was walking through the crowd with the hound. She could have looked like a very tiny Searcy or something. Somehow use that implement that really cool skill. Yeah. I mean, I feel like there was a lot with a plot that just kinda got pushed to the side, but I feel like her conversation with a hand at the very end though he saying, like, you know, I don't have anything else to live were, because my whole entire life is revenge. And I have no happiness, no joy, no love or anything. I mean, do you really want my life, and she just was kind of like a like I do have more to. And it was a very humanizing moment for her that she chose I guess, chose life rather than revenge in her. Listen, he was like, well, he's probably dead already. So with a fucker you gonna do now own fuck more. Pretty great. I'd like to do that again. Although she made a mistake, not going to Padre that night. Mistake that moment between her though, in the hound that, that was, what am I favor of the season? Just. Yeah. Like we're he's about leave it. She actually uses his Dame in, like thanks him. And like you have that moment where like he actually affected someone without, you know stabbed him. The face eight times. Or fear. That was the only thing you've ever done this scare people. I mean she had some of the best mode of the season, you know, I mean, obviously in the long night, you know, the not not today like oh, yeah. What are we seeing? Let me erection. And I mean you look at the hound, and he's just he's the one that's like we're fucked fucked. And she's the one that's like motherfucker stand up and stopped being like we'd gotta take on the shit. Yeah. Yeah. Or, you know, when the whole thing at the battle of winter fell, and everything is on fire, and he's having this exiling attack and Barrick just is like, you know, yes, there's a lot still to fight for you think she's giving up so that his, he had one of the best arcs of this whole entire series one that wasn't dropped like Jamie. Agree agree. I loved down story, art. Yeah. The tar series I think that was one of the best complete arcs of any of the characters in the show. I think he had the best and the most complete because from the beginning of the series to how he went out, like boss. Yeah. He I think he's the only one I think, has the best closer of this whole series. I think the pairing of aria and him was perfect, because when he would roll up somewhere shit's going to start immediately aria was the stealth mode. So just having both of them kind of intersect, you know, like he came in. He was unlike disguised or anything like that. He was like your content killing you and that was it like, you know, aria mask or whatever. So I love how much said Khan in that, that show like every other seriously. Also, I do want to talk about fuck. Boy, McGee a little bit, Jamie. Conflicted about how they turned back on his redemption ark because on one end I feel like redeemable like his character is irredeemable for what he's done. So it's like okay, cool. So I don't have to fake feeling good. That he's improved fuck. You, you you've done too much to be redeemable through. So I was okay with him being just this broken fucking person. That's like hanging out in love and on his sister girlfriend. Well, the baby. Yeah. Grows incest, when the walls fell, and that's and that's actions wide. Probably one of the biggest issues. I actually had with the finale was like that whole scene of her writing all this extra shit in the goddamn book of nights and all that the song of ice and fire book. I'm like fuck that I fuck him he doesn't fuck, Jamie. We're watching it. I tried to not do too much commentary. But when she's right down I, I had to put, and he's got a small penis, and just like free rate. Sister. Yeah. From our like, what ever the fuck. She wanted. The burn book for mingles. Oh my. I'm sorry, but that was just so unnecessary because fuck, Jamie. Never never wanted. I feel good for Jamie any way throughout the entire series. I never did he lost his hand. He tried. He helped people with helping people doesn't make you a good person. He takes virginity literally like sorry, hip. Yeah. Play gotta play. Yeah. I mean because my girl is Brian so was like, heartbroken for her, because it was a lot for her admit that I'm very conflicted, though, because I enjoyed Jamie's arc so much. His I, I disagree. I feel like he was redeemable in a way. But then. I don't know. He just as soon as he's like men, baby. I'm not a good person and just fuck off back to serve. I was like that. I was so let down by because I did agree. I thought he had a really good Arken. I thought they dropped it. Yeah. It's like the classic as of like. Good. That's what he said. Shits bad. Good. Were they were going for? And I feel like they kind of missed it. There was a nuance to that scene that could have improved it a little bit that it was blessed so about him be like, well, now I got to get a taste. I'm done a put it more like that. He feels like he doesn't deserve that kind of life that he could have with her and feels like he's, he's he is redeem -able in his own mind. And so that's why leaves because it's doesn't want to bring her down with him if they put that term I feel better about the scene..

"Won three Superbowls to that you one. So let's talk about the two that you one. And that was the one that you're the MVP in Detroit and that was up against the Seahawks. And then you also had the one up against Arizona Cardinals or you're banged up a little bit. But we're still managed to get a few catches in the victory. Correct. I mean, it's nothing like planning your first Super Bowl remain. That's what you're a little kid and have an opportunity to to make plays in that game. And then win, and then becomes a ROY was like a dream. Come true was almost like it was surreal because I remember myself in the backyard playing football envisioned myself me that guy making a huge. To win the Super Bowl. So now to do it live and in person to win a Super Bowl finally have never wanted to have recip- ever been on. It's every sip. This gratify mess. What it's all about to come back in a couple of years later. Yes. I was banged up with a knee injury. Still the way that magma to San Antonio homes catching that ball on a corner. Just remarkable. Let me. And be a part of his development and growth is making a play the most man out super excited for him. For him to be named MVP. Got the same feeling. I have when I won the Super Bowl forty. So it was a great time. When you lose the big game. How long does it take for you not to think about I still think about it? Three. But you know, what it was a great game. Aaron Rodgers is on top. But he was on fire today. We ran into a buzzsaw when we first won the SuperBowl. Weird to number sixty. So it brings up a lot of members were replaced the Green Bay Packers. They would never succeed. So. It kind of deja vu all over, Dan. But we're on the negative side of it. But you know, I wish we we had the opportunity we we didn't play our best game in the Super Bowl. I really that's what it comes down to who. Can execute the best and who can go out there. Now, seize the moment, and it's crazy how one play can make a difference. Because I remember when you guys in one of your run to the Super Bowl. It was the buses last year. He had the fumble and bed made the tackle that tackles not made. You guys may not get to the Super Bowl. You probably don't no question about it. Could you imagine? How throne hall of fame career that he put together? In his last game. Be on a fumble. So everything worked out for the best guy was looking down on Zabi. And luckily, we got it back, and we went on the way to find a way to to Windsor. And I know you feel currently about the Steelers, and I know you're always rooting for them as we're talking to Hines ward Abbott when we had you back on in September. When the stuff was just starting up and went to a whole different level. You said you were embarrassed. She said that's not the Steelers culture, and I have to imagine it's the same feelings right now. Just he even in the worst way. No question about I mean for the Steelers not to make the playoffs with all the talent of the hat is rare. It is especially I mean 'cause that's what's accustomed to. That's the culture that the only organization, but are fans we expect to be in a position to play for a Super Bowl. But you know, it's not just all owned by AB though. I mean, yes. I'm not excuse his behaviour one bit. But I think coach Mike Tomlin he's in on it too. Just because you know, his whole motto is a standard is a standard. Well, the coaches that exists in Pittsburgh is not the standard of the Pittsburgh Steelers where we're not team is known for what they off the field. It's all about what we do on field Rothlisberger. Having a radio show where you're criticizing guys weekly radio show. It's not a good look when you wear that cap, then on your chest. Yeah. That Celia chess. You know, we always had a motto when I was playing keep my name is her mouth in the media. Don't talk about another man in the media because it this. He opened up a can of worms, and he just calls more distractions on that we say, we're a band of brothers via big brother come to me and tell me what I have fix or correct? Away from the media. All of our leaders, including the head coach had their hand in the cookie jar. And I think hopefully, they can all come together and get a resolution sit down like romance at figure out looking at each other and hold yourself accountable. If they can change things around how do you get Ben to change though, because that's a two time SuperBowl champion one of the greats. And it's tough to tell someone like that. What to do it is? I mean, but that's that's the nature that you created as a head coach, you do have some say, so what's your guys can do and say or policy Cozumel he sat Malcolm Butler down a guy who helped win a Super Bowl two years before. But being that he was late and he sat him down and biggest game of them. All and you look at the interviews that his player skit. That's a or close Avella very much. They don't criticize other people. Don't talk about injuries were. That's the difference. That's why the patriots seems a year and a year out of the show that size of consistency. Because this is comes down from the head coach trickle, in fact, the head coach treats it the players they go out. They execute it. And that's what it's all about. And that's what we don't have. It seems like you're saying Mike Tomlin has to give these players players a little bit more tough love to do got to pay the big bucks keep your team. And if there's not a true leader that's gonna step up and do it. Then that's what you're supposed to do. You gotta sit there. You can't give leeway to the best players. You know, you can't you haven't treat everyone the same everyone. Even though they're not the same. You're still gotta treat everyone the same to let them know that we're all held accountable for our actions. So Malcolm Butler guy who helped win the Super Bowl as he was late for meeting relatives sat Saddam down. That's what resume sorta hotel. I don't care. It. Don't matter who you are. Because he expects you. You'd better be home time you better. So what happened? I think coach Tomlin maybe he needs to. Crack that whip buckle down on some of the rules or regulation within our organization and get the guys buying into the team aspect. Here's right now. It's all about individuals. Do you still talk to Mike Tomlin, you still talk to Ben? I'll talk to them all the time. Maybe reach out from time to time. And those guys, you know, I don't really want to sit there and call them every bother them. So I'm always kind of extended my numbers. But when I'm there, and I visit Pittsburgh, I go to games always show the love. So hey, man. Do you keep doing your thing? But at end of the day, you guys have too much talent not to be in the play and more or less not to win the Super Bowls. They're all have a hand in the cookie jar without might take on ABC. And I think he's a tremendous story hardworking, and we all know what happened, but that changed, and maybe it's because jujubes getting some more touches now, and that could be a part of it. But I'm starting to not like the guy as much as I once did because it's.
