An appeals court finds Florida's social media law unconstitutional

"Federal appeals court ruled a Florida law on social media is unconstitutional a three judge panel concluded it was overreach for governor Ron DeSantis and the Republican led Florida legislature to tell social media companies how to conduct their work under the constitution's guarantee of free speech The ruling upholds a similar decision by a Florida federal district judge on the law It was part of an overall conservative effort to portray social media companies as generally liberal in outlook and hostile to ideas outside of that viewpoint especially from the political right a similar law is in effect in Texas tech companies want the Supreme Court to step in there I'm Ed

"threes" Discussed on That Sounds Fun with Annie F. Downs

"Without going to nine threes. Don't stop wow. I hadn't ever heard it put like that. I just was thinking of the nine as the negative part of me. Yeah but that. A hundred percent identifies. I had example that came to my mind so after college went through a really bad break up and it totally came out of work field. Everything was going great. I mean this is totally took me off guard. Well the night that it happened the next day. I was supposed to bring the theme with cakes. Here is ridiculous. I supposed to bring a carrot cake to my friends bridal showers you no Yeah so she had a bridal shower the next morning at like ten. Am a bridal brench. I was supposed to bring a layer cake. And i got home. From that break-up. I was absolutely devastated but like there was this like my heart was beating out of my chest and i was like i can't let her down. I have to take this cakes. I mean literally balling crying making a kick. There was probably tears in that carrot cake. But i was determined to three in me was like i'm not going to stop this stupid situation. You know like i was. I was turned off my feelings and i just did it and i went to the party next day and brought the cake and then went home and cry myself to sleep for weeks. You know it was like i still did it. I didn't want to. I mean i guess. In some ways you can see the loyalist part of me wanting to fulfill what i told her i was going to do. But that's also the achiever but on the other hand like i needed to take care of myself in that moment and i. There was some internal engine that i couldn't shut off that i had to make cake for her. What do you think justin. I think that's a great way to frame it. I never thought about that either. But one of the things that i love about myself was i wake up and i'm ready to me too. I love that about myself to go. Let's go yeah and like me and my wife are different in that in that she is evening person. Not a person right number. Does she identify as i think. Nine nine yeah so. She thought she was a six. But i think she may be nine and So are paces are very different. So you know that that idea of nine being disconnected for me. Disconnection is like leaving part of my identity. You know like the disconnection or or or not having that motivation night. So i wake up in the morning. I'm ready to go. My wife is like you need to relax right. I mean to slow down. It is not you know. So roy d. Wake up five. Yeah about you emma. I'm not a super early morning riser. But i do get a lot of stuff done that last few hours tonight. I'll stay up late to do it. Yeah so for me to disconnect and just take the time to just breathe. Relax you have to give myself permission to do that. Because you do need to recharge but again like having that as a badge of honor one get up and just grabbed the bull by the horns and get everything. I loved it and it's funny. I'm similar to you anywhere. I say that i'm doing. I want to get all those things done so that i can rest and that is the ultimate goal. I'm thinking in my head. I'm working towards but then when i finally sit down i mean i'll joke i'll sit down for twenty minutes and then i'll be like so antsy to do something again and i'll feel lazy. I'll start to like if i'm at home for weekend by myself and i didn't have a full weekend worth of even if it wasn't seeing people doing a lot of things errands and things like that. I really start to doubt what my purposes. What my goal is what i'm working towards am i. You know it's kind of crazy. Yeah even on vacation. I've got to not do anything. Like i'm just going to go on vacation in not do anything because i take time i sit there and i'm like man i could do this. I do like you just like going through this list of things that you could do. You plan itineraries okay. No you're not that far. No i don't and i think that's important like of playing tonight ten very i'd be like okay come on. Let's get this thing going. That's literally job on her family vacations. The second youngest child per se chandler union vacations. Yes do that. But it's the game trip to the and i'm sure it's great to like i'm glad to hear that your family like you and your wife don't do that. That don't have itin race for that right. And that's a good thing because i'm usually pushing the pace right like a okay. Come on. let's go and keeping everybody on time. Everybody stepped like you've been you know keeping the pay's going making sure we're getting the places where we need to all that kind of but on vacation that's not a great thing right like it's okay if you're not. Yeah at the restaurant at a particular time to be there and make sure you get good seats in. you know. Don't have to wait like it's okay. You could just relax alike giving myself permission. Just like the foot off. The gas pedal yeah. Vacations are sometimes a double edged sword for me. Because you go into it thinking you need all this rest and you just want to relax. But actually i don't know have a tendency towards like over indulging or if that's not our number or not but if there's three or four let's say i was working every single day leading up to vacation and vacation for seven days straight. I didn't do anything i'm like. I just derailed all my progress. I've been working on. Also you physically. Don't feel like i. I need to remember at the end of day. I work out because it makes me feel better. I just feel. And i'm more clear headed and there's so many other benefits than just the changes in physical appearance and so actually. This christmas was the first time we have this big itinerary but this christmas was the first time me into of my and a sibling. Who all are now into crosthwaite together. We found a drop in cross that location in florida that we went to and three mornings we got up and we went and we all texted later that week. We were like our family gave us. Ito made fun of us. Because i thought oh you so you don't have to work out on vacation but y'all don't know what it did for me the rest of the day i was like i got that checked off. I did something that was productive and healthy for my body. And now i feel like i can really enjoy and so honestly it was. It wasn't the negative the negative thing it was like i need to do one thing or something whether it sit and do a five or ten minute devotion on the morning of you know each morning on vacation or get a workout in a walk just something that makes me that helps me get filled so that could be fully present with everybody else the rest of the time the nfl. Like i have a lot of energy. I got like my energy is going to go somewhere towards like the best thing to do is for me to just exhaust myself in that. Can now. I can relax like having all this. You can tap into your ready goats. Like where's this going. And so when me and my family get together and We'll get together around thanksgiving time like we play board games and stuff like emmy and my brothers were all threes. Oh my gosh yeah. It's so good like we. We're playing like apples in apples to apples and it was just it. Got out of control off competitive. We're all trying to win. We got all this.

"They like movies. They're watching a movie if they like to read their reading if they like to Garden gardening a disconnect. It looks like a disconnect from off stuff it's like i'm gonna go Lay on the sofa with my remote. The problem is that while they're doing that. Things that are there is to do are not getting done and if they get up to get active they often do things that don't need to be done in the moment. Like nine stu. And i think the reality is that without going to nine threes. Don't stop there. Stress number is there is what helps them take care of theirself that keeps proven true every time every time they just don't stop without it and you have to stop all the great spiritual masters have been telling us to shut up and stop for centuries and we still don't have it. I think the problem for threes and sevens and eights the aggressive numbers. When they stop is that they are aware of some things that have happened around them that they didn't understand when they happened so they kind of kept walking. They just kept moving forward moving forward moving forward and sometimes stopping for those three numbers. Main gotta clean up some stuff. You got to circle back in sam. Sorry i was in such a hurry when i was with us trying to do this. But this isn't more important than you are. If you wake up on go then you have to learn to stop you. "The things suzanne says she said. Y'all measure yourselves by what you do but we also measure you buy what you do so it sounds like a really challenging cycle to get out of your and again like. That's not a bad thing to accomplish things right like it's it's a good thing but to measure yourself by that is a slippery slope and as a three if you're not careful then you can fill up your tasks with a whole bunch of things that may or may not be priorities or even but you know again like being on the phone with. Somebody's like oh. I can actually multitask right now. Functionally i can do multiple things. Why wouldn't i of course that's a great idea. Yeah i should do it and then you do it and then relationships suffer like things so you have to be really clear on your priorities and being really intentional about prioritizing those things that are important because as a three you can get stuff done and it might not be a priority. It might not be urgent. It might not be necessary but you do it because you can check it off the list. I know this by him. I think i know about you. Multi-taskers in general right able to most multitask. Why do you choose to multitask like listen to at at least one point five times speed yet right usually to you can't really do us it too. Because i i laugh like a sound like a dolphin so you have to leave in about five is the last spot i feel. I sound normal that now. Just very dolphin. It's wonderful but because you can multitask. Oh i could have an hour. i can. Listen to an hour-long podcasts or can listen to two times speed so let me just go ahead and do that and then you do it and then so also out or folding laundry or louis multitasking right. You're like you've got different things going on. And like i said it feels good to be productive. It feels good to to do stuff. It feels good to check something off the list. It feels good to turn around the end of the day. And say look what i've done Why do you multitask. I think the same i. There's not hours in the day to do all that i want to do. So if i can double dip and do multiple things at once. I enjoy that feeling of being productive and i went to have something to show for it. So he li- my husband is a three as well that wild i know when they started dating. She's like he was like. What am i remember when we first started dating. I thought this is like. I think i'm dating the male version of the deeper into into dating. We got and then. When we got married i realized they expressions are very different. So he's he's like achievement and success in his head so meaning smart. Always studying always learning very much like i mean. I told him he couldn't buy any more books on amazon. Because every week there was a new amazon book. And i said you have to do the library or something else. His productivity is studying and learning so he can grow in probably get other people's approval by showing them how much he knows for me. It's very much geared towards like physical. Things how i can change my environment and productivity that way so his saturday looks like sitting and reading which is not in my head. Sometimes i'm like he's being lazy right now but he. He has a lot more to show for it at the end of the day. If you were to sit down and listen to him. Talk versus me. I might. You might come out thinking. Oh she's sweeter but he has a lot so yeah i. I'm learning as i'm married to him that there's a lot of value in things that are kind of abstract or not that i can't physically see or just that development of myself as a human. I think it's interesting to talk about. Things like multitasking. Because a lot of numbers would say we multitask right but everybody does it for different reasons. It's the motivation thing justin. So as a seven multitask. Because i want to be done. And so if i can if i can get closer to free time by doing three things at once then i'm gonna do my very best to get done because then i'm free right and y'all are doing it because it feels good to do that. Many things at one time. You're like pat on the back. I'm doing three things at once. And i'm like pat on the back. I just finished three things. I am so tell me nothing feels worse when you feel what i think. The thing that people don't know about threes is we are very sensitive and we want to. I would say about myself. I'm a really kind person. And i'm very soft hearted conscientious sensitive person but i may come across as super confident. Got it together. Whatever you say just like flies off me and it doesn't affect me but it does. So i think it's when i think i'm good at something and then something that i hear. I think it's a strong suit of mine or a talent of mine. And then someone says something and i doubt everything about unlike. Oh i'm actually not good at. And what does that mean about me. Because i got my worth from that. See like if we did like your cake or if someone if you overheard someone saying a lot of better banana kicks in this worst over here or for someone. That wasn't very good. I was very good. But i'm just doing anything. I fear constantly. What people are saying about me. When i'm not there like they say to my face. And my you're so sweet. You're great at details your x y and z. And then if i hear someone through something else i'm just i'm like are they saying and i even though we're friends and i can trust the anything she would tell me to my face if i wasn't these things but i still down at the end of the day. Like what if shoes. Suzanne said a small mistake is a big issue and for it feels like a gigantic issue. And for me it. Does one small mistake starts to unravel in my head and go back to. I'm not actually good or confident. Or whatever what. I thought i was and then i doubt everything from there. My whole identity based on your pa you like pilots during a bunch of just a pile of threes care like some people. Don't think that three really care. Some people think oh. I can say whatever i want to three. Because they got it all together super confident like whatever teflon right. Whatever you say just rolls off but threes care like three are trying to do a good job like they want to do a good job. They want your approval. They want you to enjoy that thing that you did for them..

"Their abilities and culturally. We settle for the abilities. Well yobbo take furious notes. That was really good. Yeah she talked about a number of different things that because she said threes are disconnected from feelings. And that's something that i deny if i with a lot especially growing up For me appearance emphasis on grades. So i made the best grades. It's like oh grades thing. Okay watch this. You know made the best grades and there was a incentivize making good grades too so you best believe so. It was all about great so it was funny. Almost second Born i have an older brother a younger brother a younger sister and brother make all the mistakes. And so i would watch that and say okay. I get it. That's how you mess up. And i just avoided that and then poured myself into what it meant to achieve in. I did that and you know. I saw my brother have girlfriends and break up in. You know have heartbreak in watch that affect his day. And i was just like okay. I'll just disconnect myself from that feeling. So that i can just be focused on results and You know she said that threes are easy to take advantage of. Yeah java heard that before. I had not heard that before but it could be so true. Yeah absolutely so. The world values outcomes right. So as i'm a having being successful like people applaud that but they don't realize the disconnection from feelings that can occur in order to prioritize achievement. So that was really insightful. Well it'll brutal. Yeah emma d think nashville is a three city like she thinks dallas is a city. I think so. I mean i feel like some of the artists i know and the performance i know are threes. Not all of them. Some of them are more introspective. And things like that but the threes that i know or some summit artists i know are threes. When we're trying to find guests it feels like finding a male or female. Three is like shooting fish in a barrel here and so it feels like there are a lot in our city. What did you think emma. Based on what suzanne was saying. I think i resonate to with the disconnected from emotions and feelings so my family dynamic is. I grew up as one of eight kids. Five older brothers one older sister and one younger sister. So i'm the second to youngest so definitely the one of the babies if not you know like on that side of things and One of my earliest memories. I don't know if i've ever told you this any but like literally. This happened at our dinner table. Because there's ten voices if you count our parents all trying to chat about their day. My parents do. We're gonna have as many kids we're going to have order here and there is going to be you know are going to be that perfect home school family who all the kids are well behaved and so we were definitely like if we would get sent series if we knocked over a glass of milk or something anyways we would get thirty seconds or a minute around the dinner table one by one to tell talk about our day and to share our stories so very quickly i realized one. I can't talk to talk like you know people who they grew figure they women especially get to the end of their thought after a lot of processing processing so i was never allowed to really do that so when i became very very calculated like in my head literally and i did this for years after that until college and i realized i do this but like literally coming up with sentences that was going to say before they before i spoke them and i never realized that was unhealthy. I thought it was just a me thing. I didn't know if it was. I didn't know anything about any graham. And i didn't really relate it to my childhood until recently but in the other part was i learned that if i wanted to. Wow my audience. Which was my family. At the time i needed to tell either like a sob story to get emotions or i needed to tell an amazing story about my whatever achievement for the day. Something crazy that. I saw to to get them to notice me and then also with grades i got a lot of you know i was able to get and it was more than my parents. I was trying to get my parents not as much my siblings. Definitely i wanted my parents attention and so with my dad. I i got it through good grades putting on a pretty dress in parading around the house and with my mom. She was a housewife and cleanliness and organization. So i i would help her in the kitchen all the time and i would make meals and then i would run up and organize my whole closet and say mom and grabbed her by the arm and that was only time i could physically take her away from her task at hand to show her how i was helping her around the house so definitely have a very strong too and i don't know what you're doing. Yeah so i think. But i. I definitely learns. I thought that was joy or that was was to do these things that make other people around me happy and never gave one thought to how that affects me and what i feel at the end of the day so that can go to that taking advantage of threes and the weird thing about it is being three if you're taking advantage of you almost don't even realize it because if you're three wing to like like we are you get something out of that. Yeah i get something out of serving. Yes so it's like you're performing you're achieving. And.

"Is true in many places in dallas texas where i live mondays. Threes are the easiest number to take advantage of. People are all about success and moving forward and getting rid of everything that's old and doing a new way and and we use threes for that and they're good at it and i want to be respected and appreciated so they give it to us and it becomes a very difficult thing to get out of. I think three's are a big picture. Thinkers they take shortcuts and sometimes that costs them but not often enough that they stop taking shortcuts and they are the best cheerleader. You can have you know. Three's see themselves as successful. If the person they're championing is successful. they're really good about using the right language to get what they want nuanced in just in just the right way the other eight numbers would make somebody angry and three somehow get away with it. They are building the fabric of our country. I think and. I'm very respectful of the side of them. That is tender that wants to be known beneath the abilities. They have gifts that are beneath.

"Fun podcast. Welcome to any a summer. Twenty twenty one gram threes emma adjusted. How are you doing good okay. So y'all met before correct first time. Does that make you have any feelings about sitting down with someone. You don't know today this. I don't have any feelings. I feel like she's a three so like this is going to be great. I mean i like the way. He responded in the email thread that we had expired. Felt like i if he didn't respond to any of genesis questions or communication. I think i would have already had image of ear like perspective on you but you were really nice like look forward to meeting you so now i feel i feel good. That is one of our favorite parts is watching what time people get here for the interview because every numbers different and how long it takes his schedule. The show how quickly people respond. We always get that three on the calendar. Those right yeah did it. Let's introduce yourself so just go. I just first name married single if you want. How many kids if you want and what. Your job is just as much about yourself as you want to tell. Yeah cool so my name is justin married for coming up on fifteen years on may twenty seventh and we have two kids a thirteen year old son and a ten year old daughter and a campus pastor for the franklin campus for cross pointe church. So that's new and that's a whole thing. I actually went to school to be a pharmacist. And feel like the lord kinda called me out of that into this role they recently so Yeah that's that's that's me. You're the dream. Come campus pastor because you're such a well respected elder and so it just makes so much sense that someone we've trusted through some really wild times. Good and bad now gets to be our pastor to hopefully thank you. What thankful clear the pastor. Emma who are you. Everybody knows i know so. My name's emma. I have worked here with anne for little under a year. Y'all coming up on a year actually worked for kelly. Who is annie's manager. So i'm on the management team and recently are called my day to day manager. Yes basically i handle all the details and Married i got married almost a year ago as well. July twenty fifth Husband's eli we have a dog named reagan's who we love. He's a golden retriever. Of course i bring him up in a few minutes and live here in nashville. We bought a house last year. Got married last year so a lot of changes from atlanta originally vm. To there was on the show with us was a friend of y'alls realized best friends. Danny he yeah. People didn't get the to show. They should go back. Justin how did you figure out you identify with being a three man. So i wasn't super familiar with the graham and then it just coming up in conversation and somebody sent me a test to take. And i took the test and as i was reading the description of three i was like. Oh man okay are any out of my head is me. That is all me. What part sweat parts really stood out the the motivations the competitiveness the Wanting to have others approval wanting to be respected and thought of as effective and productive and like wanting to be the guy like all that i'm just really like ooh that's all there was no hesitation. There was nothing that i didn't connect you with spot on spot on. Yeah so i was after that. I was pretty intrigued. Okay they're onto something. Were you proud or were you bothered or both. I wasn't proud or bothered. It was more like. Oh yeah like identify with that guy like that language describes me so. I don't know that i was necessarily proud. As i learned about any gimmick being introduced him. I felt like god had already been working on my. I don't know what was maybe three shared three sixty what the correct yasha started. The lord had already been working on that. So there are some things that i felt like I have been working through and working on and kind of getting through the that puts language to right. So you you're already doing the emotional mental health journey to getting healthier. And you're going. Oh some of this is exactly what i've been working on absolutely so that was super helpful with contextualising. Not only where. I am but a lot of the stuff that i felt like i was already working on a hardware. Yeah emma your journey to three is very interesting. We thought was about eight other numbers in this in this world but talk about how you knew you identified as the three i think when i similarly when i first heard about the grand i think i just read through the name the title of each one was and i saw two as a helper and i have always loved to cook and bake and hospitality is really near and dear to my heart so i think i thought oh i'm a helper and then i found out later like all christian girls think i right and so then when i read the read back to you and i yeah took the quiz and did all that i remember reading the three and i was saying i was like oh no this. It fell a little more like exposing. I felt like this. I identify with this so much but if someone reads this they're gonna know that's me and it was almost like not totally ashamed for it but i just don't think earth shamed of it but i had never put some of those words. I never let even myself admit some of those things like that. I get something from performing and achieving that there's like a high involves and i was embarrassed about that like i thought that that was negative but then i realized the more i was like well. This is obviously a character. Trait up in god's given me in that i have and it can't be all wrong that i it felt like it's wrong to get a high from or to get joy. Or whatever it is satisfaction fulfillment from having others. Think i'm awesome or cool and both of you are in kind of ministry center jobs if not quite you and i aren't pasturing here you more public facing. Yeah yeah. how does your three three city. How do you temper the performance part when it comes to ministry or do you not do. Just reframe it. Motivation is really important. Okay the why behind what you do. Why behind what you do because you know as a three you have this motivation to achieve this motivation to be productive and You know the scripture. About how james and john's bomb came to jesus as i want my one of my sons to sit on your hand the other one to sit on your left and jesus didn't say that's a bad thing right. He's like number one. You don't know what your before number two that's not mind to grant and then he talks about if you wanna be exalted in you have to be humbled and if you If you are proud then you will be humbled right so like that. It number one made me feel like okay. It's okay to achieve right like it's okay to be productive. It's okay to do things for the kingdom but if you want to do things for the kingdom you gotta humbled like you have to humble yourself. So it actually provides the correct structure. Or the god's way of getting things done because as a three. I feel like okay. I got it. I know what to do. A don't worry everybody. I got this. And i'm ready to go forward headlong but instead of leaning on my own ways you know i can go to scripture say okay god i've got to be humbled and then in the humility is where he'll do the work to to Use you to accomplish his goals. Which is what you want right. So it's i think he's still get the high. You still get the high. It's just counterintuitive than what you believe. So i think scripture is so important for a three to be healthy because it will help you accomplish the thing that you want to accomplish and it kind of affirms the fact that you're not this is not a bad thing right like the lord intended for you to be productive but if you wanna be productive you just gotta do it my way. Which is i think. One of the the reasons why. I didn't feel shocked her. Feel some kind of way about being three. Because i think that's a good thing like the lord loves all numbers all different reasons. That's okay what do you think about that emma. Doing less sometimes is more so for example i would want to be super productive in like physically changed my atmosphere like be prepared for the whatever. I'm going to bring a cake to the party..

"A relationship and then jupiter. How long were you guys dating for. You met dylan. So i guess we'd been dating. I think right around six months or like five and a half six months was when i first met dylan and then how did you guys meet jupiter. I met at a play party Here in san sex party for those. Who are ben and kate. Sex was one of batting cage. Yeah then cake all back. But i was there with sean sean and i were both at that party. Okay i was gonna say loosley initiated in the sort of play party scene in We before we met ahead of several mutual friends. I was pretty uninitiated with the dynamics of colliery and how those sort of open relationships functioned especially in sort of play party environment and so jubran hit off the started up and then like sean walked in and i was like shit. I'm in deep trouble right now. But he was a fine. I was like oh. That's really cool. I guess in kind of a very basic crude way. Kind of kicked off a series of Like discoveries for me about what. I wanted In dynamics sexual partners what. I wanted in relationships end You know how. I just sort of wanted to treating general so that was definitely a door. Knock down so jupiter win you sean are in this relationship. Where you guys labeling each other as like boyfriend girlfriend or primaries what was it so we were using the terms partner at the time. We are both using the terms boyfriend and girlfriend also. Frosty were very interchangeable I don't always use those terms as interchangeably like i don't think donut. I ever referred to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend ever call each other partners That was like a specific choice. We made that Right for rs. With dillon with sean. And i was like what my wife from your partner. Whenever a we don't we both shot subscribe to and don't also a all subscribe to non hierarchical polly emery which specifically eliminates things like primary secondary things that stem that like rates. Implicit like someone has status. That is fixed or like takes priority over anyone else's so we didn't ever give anything like that which was part of kind of honestly. What made space for dylan to come into. My life was the fact that we didn't have the i believe actually on my first day. He's like so like shawn's like your primary was like woah. While i don't do that wet my whole he was like smoothing a little bit. So if you sh- so dylan. Sean did not have a sexual relationship cracked right okay. So what is the difference than new. Explain this a little further of what makes you guys a triad between the three of you versus just you being partners with the two of them. Yeah so for me. Like i feel like sexuality is only one aspect of connection relationships. And i would almost say dylan sean. Between them pretty much every they love each other. Okay doors although gloves me. What do you think initially sure doing. appeared in in in in the seeing among jupiter. And i would how affect you in my relationship and initially. I heard that are lose time. That i had previously been able to spend with jupiter. It wasn't when we develop the relationship. It wasn't anger or jealousy or upset. As you are.
