No doubt the new daily Covert 19 tests with a quick results have a major impact here in Mountain West Conference will also have an eight game slate beginning. Over 24th. How much though there's one conference tilt the scale, so to speak in the big 10, Open the door for the rest of these conferences. I think that the big 10 coming back open the door for Ohio State, right? I think it really It really complicates things. And when it was on ly three weeks in the very beginning of September, and we were looking at the big 12, the SEC and the sea, the question was, wow. Can the American Athletic Conference get one in as an undefeated group of five team? I think What we're going to see now is a lot of the same of familiar teams that we typically talk about it again. As we've said weekly him. We don't know how many games anyone's going to play that includes Alabama and Clinton as well. Absolutely all

"Here, Kentucky's Attorney General. Daniel. Cameron. Today. According to Kentucky Law. The use of force by mattingly in Cosgrove was justified to protect themselves. This. Justification bars us from pursuing criminal charges. In Miss Brianna Taylor's death justice is not often easy. Does Not fit the mold of public opinion, and it does not conform to shifting standards. Now is the Reverend Al Sharpton. The host of MSNBC's politics. Nation. He's author of the New Book Rise up confronting a country at the crossroads which will be available Tuesday Reverend Sharpton, your reaction to what the attorney general had to say and what's unfolded tonight in Louisville. Out My reaction is that certainly it is not surprising, but it is still allowing to see that a grand jury and grand jury usually a totally framed by what the prosecutor plus before because that's the only lawyer in the role to come back and say that we will charge and also for all the violence that he did cause and the cause for those. Surrounding an area on apartment that we kill someone, but we will not charge him with killing. Someone shows an outrageous an unbelievable kind of justification for doing nothing around the death of Brianna Taylor. Brianna Taylor was not even mentioned in the indictment if anyone wants to know why we are saying black lives should matter they acrylic saying Louisville. The day did not math. That attorney general to even attack those of us that supported the family at the family's request saying that the celebrities and influence activists on that wealth from end to Kentucky or should not there to give their views when we're welcome there to watch horses run around the track for the Louisville Dirt Louisville Kentucky Derby. But we're not welcomed to stand up for the life of value and worth of a black woman who's only actions that night issue to better in our own home committing no crime involved with no criminal activity. That's why we continue to. That's why we should vote in. We should use the fact that you can vote in November even in Kentucky even though we couldn't vote the grand jury we ought, to sin, Mitch McConnell into retirement as a deposit on the justice we want for the retailers of. I want to let the audience here what you were just referring to the Kentucky Attorney General who is a Republican talked today about activists from out of state who don't live in Kentucky. As if they have no right to talk about this, let's listen to that. There will be celebrities, influencers and activists who having lived in Kentucky. We tried to tell us how to feel suggesting they understand the facts of this case that they know our community and the Commonwealth better than we do. But they don't. Let's not give into their attempts to influence our thinking or capture our emotions. It sounds like he was talking about you. Talking about me and many others than many that up right there on the ground. From out of state but let me remind people that all of the activities of Leonidas Attorney Ben crump was at the invitation of the Family WanNa. Justice. And if you know it's an old playbook calling people outside Agitators Monitor King Junior and John Lewis Super Far greater than us will call that that will not in any way stopped mood that's gone on all over this country and the way to deal with this, we must try to change the laws and one way to do that is to change the lawmakers. We must turn our pain in the power in the rubble must continue to non-binding march to keep these. Alive. Riyan Taylor matting her life matters and we don't have to be a citizen of Louisville to say that and many Citizens Louisville are saying that as well and just last week. The right thing did happen on the civil case the city settled with the family for twelve million dollars and you know that settlement never would have happened without you and others bringing national attention to this case. Well absolutely, and why would you settle for that record amount of money if there was no wrong had been done and one of the reasons that we marched by the tens of thousands in Washington just three weeks ago and details mother spoken that much is because we clearly need is George Floyd policing injustice act passed by the Senate, passed by the House that would also make will officers if they commit a crime are subject of of the lawsuits and pretzels have to deal with it taxpayers paying forward individual offices do and are not held accountable for we need to change the laws by changing the lawmakers.

First Impressions on COD Cold War's Multiplayer Alpha
"Speaking of the future we did get a little taste of the Cold War multiplayer this weekend as they dropped with, they're calling an Alpha I always think it's cute when these AAA developers drop an open Alpha like this is an Alpha for those who don't know is supposed to be like the rawest form of your game before you really get the kinks worked out an Alpha is not hey, everyone can download this and play it. And you're good at Oh. By the way, our game is also coming out in like three weeks like that is not how call Beta one, Beta, two or something like that. Alpha's a bit generous to say like Yeah we've never tested this out until right now. Yeah. Alpha will figure this all out. But give him a minimum project the same time on that though because doing that's going to allow them to see a lot of tendencies catch a lot of bugs. Yeah. There's already a ton that we will dive into but yeah, like I think. WHATEVER THEY WANNA call it. This was a good move on trailer park this very different than how we saw infinity ward handled their game already right. We already hear about a lot of coming changes issues that we may have right now may even be gone by the time we actually play the next open Beta here in just a few weeks now disclaimer on all this. This was only on playstation. So as only on the PS four as far as I know, it might have been on Xbox to you, but it was only on console just place it just playstation. So a nugent did play it the last time I pull the only thing I play my playstation at the moment is for NHL. That is it like I have a couple of single player games. That I might hop on here and they're like Spiderman last of us but for the most part, just NHL I have not played a first person shooter with a controller since call of duty World War Two which I think was the last one not. So. That that will. disclaimer here, this is just coming from a normal perspective K.. Yet I could talk about how you know I sucked. But to be honest I didn't even talk that bad because the auto so ridiculous that it. Makes me look a little decent little decent. disclaimer there now, right off the bat though I will say this and you mentioned it as soon as we started playing when this Moose over to PC and the pros get to play this game on apiece. Refresh rates and. Just everything that. Cleaning it up. They are going to be blown away. They're going to perform so much better. I feel like we're just going to get a better game because I noticed it immediately like right when I got in God we were playing a timid join day. Twelve map initially because we wanted to try out the new ship NAP and if our modern from not whatever whatever whatever you call it. Yeah. Like I mean the ship nap the big ships. By the way what did I say did I lie when I say any game that has a battleship map on it is already a top five game. Oh, very cool map but now that has like three shifts on it that you can jump from ship to ship to ship. Diving. In the water getting vehicles, I'm not saying it's going to be competitive in east sports because it won't be from a casual standpoint run that twenty four, seven, I want to twenty four, seven ship Matt playlist are like that ship nap a lot more than the snow map. Yeah. That were for the big map that. Out on the names of these mounts but yeah, I mean I noticed it right away like the sixty hertz graphics like it. All just felt like I was playing on my old computer that I got rid of like a couple years ago. Now, you know like it just felt like I was playing on outdated equipment like I was playing things low settings compared to what I'm used to, and so that was the first thing that I thought of also is man like we're gonNA get a product. They've ever had before in call of duty lead just right away just 'cause it didn't play bad. It's just it wasn't as good as you would want it to be you know try and constantly. Yup. First thing that hopped out to me. I, think overall time to kill. It feels good. It is longer than what modern warfare was I kinda like. Me Too because it was one thing is when you played modern warfare for the first time I, remember playing the Beta or whatever they called it for modern warfare and I remember I got my first kill and laughed out. Loud. How because remember I they started with the foam us in warfare and I laughed at how fast they died. I took you back. The hundred fifty HP or whatever they're doing for. There's like. It did feel good. I didn't have an issue with it like I felt like it took. The right amount of blitz you know just felt it felt okay. The way I did was I will say this it allows what is a very underrated thing I think modern warfare was missing. It. Allows the turnaround kill. It allows for for that clutch moment to where if someone's coming up from behind, you can turn around and get them right into had that level of casual level. It will create that hype. So I liked not. Time to that was a big. That was a big piece of it like I think that. Just felt good. Overall map seemed okay a little. You know they're six we six. So it's hard to judge. But seemed I liked him I really like I thought Moscow is I think Moscow is going to be a really fun map to watch on a competitive level especially for before they have some like good wide lanes on there I I love the the lanes that we saw a lot more traditional. To call of duty than what we saw this past year with modern warfare is you can very clearly conceived distinct three lanes on most of these maps Moscow I thought was really good. I think satellite is going to be a really fun to watch. I know you didn't play too much but I thought satellite was a really good map of Miami. I have some concerns about just because of the openness of the middle of the But again, it does at least have the proper three lanes but the really spread out. So very curious to see how like Miami looks like a five eighty, five map instead of a four before to me on how it's currently laid out but. Again. I really liked him I thought the mouse were good and maybe that's just me grading attempt to light modern warfare maps. I did not like any of the modern warfare. Along. Yeah I was GONNA say it doesn't a lot to be to modern warfare Matt.

Building a Resilience Bank Account
"Well come to episode forty seven of everyday. Buddhism making every day better I'm back. I took a few weeks off as is obvious from the. Missing podcast episodes that usually are there every couple of weeks? Just to sort of rebuild. rebuild. My strength my optimism and sort of developer. Resilience Bank, which is what we're going to be talking about in this episode. You know and I just. Explained what I was about to do on facebook post about three weeks ago I shared was probably more about four weeks. Now, a shared a post and a link to an article called your surge capacity is depleted and it's why you feel awful. It's an article written by Tara Haley. and. Shared my personal facebook page, and also the everyday Buddhism group I wrote I'm sure many of you have already hit the point where you're surge capacity is is totally depleted either just recently are months ago. And in the last few weeks, so this would have been. About a month ago I faced up to the fact that I'd been feeling off and awful for days on end. And feeling that way is something I am not at all familiar with as nearly incorrigible glass half full person. I totally identified with Tara, Haley's description about what she's going through and how strange it was for her being a high achiever to feel what she described as a quote anxiety tainted depression mixed with on we that she couldn't kick. And it was also along with the complete inability to concentrate. And I read that it was exactly the way I'd been feeling. So those of you in my everyday Sanga in everyday. Buddhism membership community know that I recently did face up to the fact that I needed to give myself a little break. And in in the article Tara Haley points out that expecting less of yourself is exactly what you should do to help yourself go the distance in this pandemic even though we don't know how long distances or what we're gonNA find at the end. Her article talks about this thing called them big use loss and it's why we feel so bad. And how it's news for Motif for many of us. and how we have no coping skills. Much like my recent everyday Buddhism podcast called six steps for coping with uncertainty with Gregg creech healy asked the question. How do you adjust to an ever changing situation where the quote new normal is indefinite uncertainty So, it's been a little over a month since I released the episode with Gregg. Creech and it gave myself time to think about. Writing, content having ideas for content or recording content. I. Also took time away from hosting the Everyday Buddhism Sanga or which we call the Everyday Sangha with gratitude for volunteer hosts from the Sanga who took over for me. Just a few weeks prior to recording the episode with Greg We lost our dog Bella. She was fifteen and the last dog in the House since we lost her litter mate brother back in April of two thousand nineteen. So I did realize that I was personally was dealing with a mix of this thing called ambiguous loss as well as the more tangible loss and grief of losing Bella. You know a while ago. I expected to snap out a feeling awful within a week or two into this past month of my break. But I'm here to report that just giving myself a little break wasn't a magic solution. I did what seemed to be all the right things I took more walk spent more time outside read more and. Let Myself. Sleep in. But it still seemed harder for me to focus and get motivated to do the things I needed to do. But see it's Haley's article She she she points out that this is very typical. she did interviews with an masten, PhD Pauling boss, PhD and Michael Madhouse md.. About. Our adaptive surge capacity that we call on in response to a short term stressful situation like a natural disaster and it's that adaptive surge capacity the it's it's met for the short term situation. So therefore, it has limits. And in this situation that we'RE DEALING WITH WE'RE WE'VE depleted that surge capacity because our emergency is no longer short-term, it's now chronic. And I've been hearing from friends family and Sanga members who feel the same way he in the Article Pauline boss emphasizes how are solution oriented culture and way of thinking is actually destructive when faced with the problem that actually has no solution. This time of ambiguous loss causes feelings of helplessness and hopelessness and a better way to deal with these feelings is not through trying to think our way out of them or find

Coronavirus: Israel marks Jewish New Year with second lockdown
"Rush Shawna or Jewish New Year begins at sunset this evening. But for Israel this new. Year's anything. But happy as the country becomes the first major economy to enter into a second. Nationwide lockdown against a backdrop of serious discontent towards the handling of the pandemic and the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself Israel, which was one of the first countries to enact stringent measures to inhibit the spread of the virus is shutting down. Again, the three weeks we'll joining me now is Alison Kopplin summer who is a journalist for hurt a good morning to you alison. Why is this can lockdown necessary? Well. It's basically necessary because our infection rates which reached a really dramatic low back in in May. have been creeping up all through the summer months and then I'm have basically exploded beginning. At the end of August, beginning of September which was really. Enhanced by the the return of of kids to school we really see that they've absolutely been able to to mark. A connection between the fact that kids went back to school on. September first and that since then the the rates have been have been doubling and and surging among the general population at an unprecedented rate before that, it was basically concentrated in certain populations, certain cities, certain neighborhoods. But as kids went back to school, it just exploded across the entire population. So this goes against what the so corona virus saw said a couple of months ago when he asserted the socio economic trauma inflicted by covert restrictions was greater than its health impacts. So can you help line the state of the economy and how these further restrictions will impact on businesses? Well. There's been a huge debate going into this lockdown as to the extent to which private businesses should be allowed to continue business as usual a huge debate over the the pain that closing down business will cause versus the attempt to to fight the to fight the lockdown We already have a major unemployment problem and unlike European countries Israel has not been fully compensating businesses for their losses. and. So there's a huge bitter angry rebellion by business owners small and large and not insignificant chance that this time around because people have much less faith than they did in the first lockdown there's going to be a lot of businesses I predict violating the restrictions and an opening for business even in the face of the of the restrictions I mean, what does the Don actually entailed? Everything must close. Everything must close except for essential services such as supermarkets and and pharmacies public offices will be open, but they won't receive. receive the public in In Government Offices Private businesses. Again, this came after fight are two privately reopened with a with a minimal amount of staff in in Workplaces So you know the economy is being partially allowed to function. That's why there are so many as they say, Swiss cheese holes in this lockdown but they're worried that you know in the attempts to keep the economy going to an extent know if schools are out, you can't have a full economy running. That they're putting so many holes in it in order to keep the the economy functioning at a certain rate that it's going to be ineffective in terms of of actually bringing the infection rate down significantly what about the situation in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip? The situation is bad there too. There's a lockdown in Gaza right now and and the West Bank is also suffering from from it from an outbreak. So they are they're not in any kind of renewed full scale lockdown, the way that that we are, but they are they're in a difficult place as well. Now, this as you mentioned a huge amount of opposition to this and people are actually protesting who's out on the streets. Well There's always been a religious secular divide in. Israel? Approximately. Twenty twenty, five percent of our population are Orthodox smaller. percent of that are also Orthodox and those daybreak cities where the ultra-orthodox resided partially because of the large family size there and how how dense their residences is that has been really a hotbed of infection as well as Arab towns and. Cities and so it's been very hard for them to specially over a long period of six months to stop with their large gatherings, their traditions, their prayers, etc, and that is countered by. On, the other side and on the secular side, the need to protest against a Netanyahu how he's had this corruption trial, they've had large protests. So basically, there's this back and forth going on why can we not gather in a? Study Jewish learning while you can gather on the streets and have a protest, and for example, why can you go to your ritual baths and we can't go to the beach? So there's there's a lot of fourth fighting and then the the biggest and most desperate cry is from the business owners who are feeling so much economic pain. So there's protests coming from from all directions and how will this affect the political situation? While the political situation isn't good to begin with one of the reasons that Israel has been. So crippled in fighting the corona virus situation is as I said, really hotbeds of infection at least as of two three months ago we're in these ultra-orthodox cities neighborhoods, and what the coronavirus czar planned to do came in trying to do is to really shut those cities down and really be able without harming the economy on a large scale to focus the approach inside these communities and political pressures. made it impossible for Netanyahu, to really stand behind his are and do the because the ultra Orthodox parties said, if you close our cities if you shut down now. If, you don't allow us to go to synagogue. We are going to leave your coalition and basically bring down the government, and that's why at every turn these ultra-orthodox parties have been able to twist the government's arm into allowing them to have more freedom than the secular public looks at what's going on in the religious sector and they say, well, if they're not GONNA do it. We're not going to do it, and then you've got a very bad dynamic there. I listen Israel forced all foreign arrivals to self isolate on March the night that was before the World Health Organization announced that it was in fact, a pandemic given the the the country is now in this situation, won't you think that other nations around the world can learn by watching this? I think really the biggest lesson that that Israel can teach the world is. Opening up schools particularly when it above the age of ten or so is really a dangerous difficult and problematic as much as we all want to see our children. In school learning getting an in person education that that is really the trigger. This is now the second time that that sending kids to school have have sent our infection rates. Rising, and that's why any kind of a resumption of studies has to be done extremely slowly carefully in a measured way starting with the youngest kids and slowly going. Up and keeping a very, very strong monitoring. On how that that is affecting the society because kids go to school, they get infected, they come home in the infect their entire families. Alison despite everything. Shana Tova.

"Dutch from from the underground and also just note that they think he's going to get about twenty five. Maybe thirty touches starting at least the first couple of games or what not trying to get back into the picture. If you have zeke ezekiel elliott on your team and you know must have come in a very high first or second round at the latest. What's your thoughts as far as playing him. Do you play him right away. Do you have have no choice. I mean if you picked zeke. You elliott most likely you don't have that greater depth that running back after him so most likely you gotta go ahead even with with the limited amount of touches you gotta go ahead and play him correct. Yeah you hit the nail on the head. I mean at that point unless you really play in a a smaller league or people were asleep at the wheel on the second and third round of your draft. You're forced to start him. You know he's playing whether he's in shape or not. I don't know he claims to be working out in kabul but you have to. I think kinda kinda to the other factor involved here is the giants don't have the most stout defence who knows maybe they spell elliott a few times and he gets them. Goal-line looks and he gets you a touchdown so so at this point. It's kind of looking at it like a real team. You're paid the guy the top bucks in this case a first round draft pick play him roll the dice spin fewer going up against a <hes> the chicago bears or maybe the rams defense. Maybe you kinda give it thought but not this week stardom and like i said hope he gets you one of those cheap b._t.'s or maybe a few catches and receiving yards hopefully that'll be the case to make the best of very messy situation i should say and and hopefully for zeke elliott fans and also fantasy football team owners that have as you go elliot on their team. Hopefully it will still manage to be a good season. I don't know how great it will be because then you get into a situation where those players with those long holdouts. They have a tendency to get injured. The percentages seemed to go up for them to get injured as being more likely so i've been kind of worried and hopeful that i have enough depth on my running back roster absolutely that's it's an excellent way of putting it and frankly in this game. We love and play running backs. Get her all the time. It's just hard to predict whether holdout or not you're gonna have a fluke injuries so i say take take it week by week and worry about it down the road but it's definitely a good way of looking at it my friend. It's been a great episode. I gotta have you on real soon. After the the dust is settled on week one of the n._f._l. United still workout times as far as when you're available to do so but you are definitely going to be a major part of insight sports fantasy issue football going forward. I gotta ask you my friend before we had on out and that is what do you and charles smith junior the host that both you are of of the insights board show what you to scheming up for this season of insight sports all thanks again for the opportunity. I'm looking forward to a great season in doing this. Show a lot of friends and even co workers giving good feedback and even asked me when the first episode was and i told them after i finished my draft but that's i guess a little more like insider information nation but on the show are actually doing a bit of a reboot to the most popular segments we we've had gotten feedback from the audience on our our pick segment and fantasy football also i'll probably be giving some more of my nuggets whether it's who to pick up to drop who to start those sorts of things and then charles and i started a few years ago where we had a segment called gamblers blurs the late and thanks to the supreme court in my home state of new jersey gambling's not as evil as everyone makes it out to be as you know the fine state of nevada so we had a scene team charles was he picking over under and being the contrary and i am at times i would pick an underdog a really good year last year..

"You. Gotta do what you gotta do absolutely couldn't agree more. You know what it's going to be also a great weekend in the n._f._l. First weekend everybody's so pumped all the fantasy football owners out there just so psyched. I'm going to win the championship after week one. If you start to see a little bit of cracks near but before everybody goes ahead panics before it goes in and just this gives themselves a pat on the back. We've got week one to worry about and from fantasy football standpoint. Are there any match ups right off the ginkgo that stick out brought to you that says for a fantasy football team owner out there they have to go ahead and they have to make a play absolutely and i think this is going to be a recurring theme throughout the year. Start anyone you have on the baltimore ravens offense. I say that because the miami dolphins a two thousand nine hundred miami dolphins may be the first n._b._a. Team to enter the n._f._l. N._f._l. I say that because they've outright admitted that there tanking this year they traded tunsil instills. They've got ryan fitzpatrick starting quarterback. They don't have a heck a lot of depth on matt team. They know there are two top college quarterbacks potentially to be had in the draft next spring so be frank with you. Someone like lamar jackson. Even is a good start. I know there are some questions sion's given his playoff game last year against the chargers not this week play him. I think even someone to get a little deeper into the weeds like justin tucker. <hes> the raven should be able to put put up some points if not he's going to be within field goal range because i think that ball control offense will run the dolphins all over the field so right there. I know that seems like a no brainer but so you really can't go wrong with any ravens against the dolphins and secondarily one other a big trend. I'd like to think here. I'd like to pass along a week. One don't don't kind of overanalyze things. I mean for instance. I've got cam newton on a team and i know he's going up against the top ramps defense but he's better than my alternative play him. You don't know what's going to happen. Can you last night the bears. The packers look sluggish who knows they may even get into a shootout wpro or maybe cam will get you a rushing touchdown or throw a couple t._d.'s as late or something along those lines don't over think it yet. I do think matchups are important but i mean patrick. Mahomes is going up against a tub jags. The are you gonna sit him or are you gonna sit tyreek hill. I think not they may not have an explosive gain but play them because it's week one we all know the defenses are just as out of shape as the offense is in getting that rust off so that's my advice matchup wise this week i've got to that. I want to go ahead and point out. One of them is cincinnati at seattle and if you got anybody on the seattle title offense. I think that's something that should be a definite play for you especially if you have chris carson or russell wilson. I think that both of them are going to be big time contributors to you a very very good win. I know vegas has seattle as a heavy favourite going into the weekend. Another game that you want to look at is houston at new orleans on monday night with new orleans at home. Drew brees go crazy annette game especially being an early game so it's not too late for the national t._v. The audience the houston at new orleans could be something that really could be very exciting especially for owners that have new owns players on the roster. Kamara breeze the wide receiver said michael thomas. If you have them on your team i would definitely say that there are a must start because houston after all the funky traits that they did some some of them. Which were i don't. I don't think that they got the best of especially when you concerning the the judean clowney trade and all that but there's there's a couple of other trades as well all that that i don't really have everything going right in houston. They're they're doing some very curious things almost as curious what's going on in miami handy but let's not even go there and i think that's that's really a situation..

"Brad. Every day when I get off the subway here in New York, there's this guy at my subway. Stop. And he's asking people got a swipe, and you swipe me because New York most of us have these unlimited metro cards, right? You swipe them to get through the turnstiles. So I've already paid for the month. One extra swipe does not cost me anything. So this guy's asking swipe me through help me out. And it puts every New Yorker into a conundrum because if people don't pay their fair that's not good subways. Can't run that way. But this guy needs a swipe clearly needs the money, and I've kind of already paid for it. Right. So what would you do if you knew someone needed healthcare you knew they couldn't pay for it? And you had a perfectly good insurance policy lying around. Welcome to the story that is sparking controversy in Indiana ABC's. Linsey Davis is here with me what happened here Lindsey. So we're talking about the superintendent of schools in Elwood, Indiana name is Casey smitherman. There's a student fifteen year old young man who didn't show up for school. I have a student. I've been helping and he was sick. And I believe it was strep throat. She then took him to. A medical center where she used a false name claiming that he was her son. And then drove him to a CBS where she had a prescription then filled for an antibiotic because he didn't have insurance that he with my son. So that he could get treatment, and we were able to get into the treatment and two days later, he was able to return to school. So then apparently a word got around the school told the teacher who told the school nurse, and then she ends up turning herself in to police. I'm a rule follower by nature. So this has been a scary day for me. She's now charged with three felonies and a misdemeanor. And then we all pay more money through our our our insurance premiums. She has just made a deal with the county prosecutor, essentially, if you don't get any arrests within the next year, the fraud charges are going to be dropped against you. I'm not saying that was right. I'm really sorry. Just I was scared for him and the school board is sticking buyer. They've said she's been totally dedicated to the students. This was a mistake elapsing judgment. I just wanted to be over with. So we can just get back to business educating kids she gets to keep your job. She went back to work on Thursday. But I bet there's a lot of people that that are sympathetic to this woman and into a kid who like, you know, how healthcare provider costs are just outrageous in this guy. How much was it going to have to pay it? So it sounds like this was going to be in excess of about two hundred fifty dollars. He doesn't have insurance. And so this is a young man that apparently she's tried to help out in the past. She's bought him close. She's gone to the house and cleaned. And she was concerned that if she made any kind of calls on his behalf that he might end up in foster care. So this was her thinking, no harm, no foul. I'll pretend it's my son. He gets to. Get a amoxicillin nobody has to pay and he gets better have loved to go back to that moment. And redo it kicking myself. Why didn't I do this? Why didn't I do this? She says lesson learned she had good intentions, you healthcare costs like this visceral sense of frustration for so many people we've got insurance company saying, you know, this is not a net flicks account like the premiums are there for a reason. Exactly. All right. Thanks for breaking down Lindsay. Thanks Brad that confident knowing Sam can sit there on the ground Brady. But and one last thing if your TV viewing habits or like mine a question lately. Why are they showing video games on ESPN? Straightaway on video games. East? Sports have become a huge industry. You're starting to see them more on TV, but these events were already packing arenas, people are shelling out money to watch streams of their favourite gamers playing their favorite games. I can kind of see the appeal here right yet teams get personalities huge prize money at stake, and it's just visually interesting. Right. The screens light up with guns and colors. It's action packed will cut to the newest event in east sports birds, the brasler weeds, and this is a game called farming simulator. And unlike all the other games, I just mentioned this is not a shooter game. This is not a team sport is just your farm. Okay. So we housing. And you farm. It is important that we stay aligned with each row features of game. I'm not kidding here. Involve buying tractors spreading fertilizer to increase. Your yield. Literally a big part of the game is just you drive across fields plowing row after row, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the farming simulator championship imagine. If there was a competitive version of the SIMS now, imagine a quarter million dollars are up for grabs. A hundred themes will clash to fulfill a one goal. Bails stacking informing simulator. Organizers say they're going to do a tour across Europe. Or for some reason this game is wildly popular. And weirdly, this could be a big step for east sports right up till now you just had one type of event, but there are lots of different games out there. Let's different gamers, and you might see more and more than wondering if they should turn pro in their sport, which should make ESPN viewers. Very very nervous. "So as you heard there from Trish, not a ton of action on the border wall. But last night we learned the Trump administration is taking a big new action on the border itself. This could have huge implications for people fleeing violence and persecution. It is going into effect today. ABC's Quinn Owen covers immigration for us in so Quinn. What is happening here so bread last night? H has told us that today. They're going to start turning away asylum seekers that come up to the southern border and make them wait in Mexico, while their asylum claim processes already you have camps full of asylum seekers on the Mexican side of the border, right? So explain how this is different. That's right bread. There are people in these camps waiting to get into the US and some of them are allowed to go and initiate their asylum application, and once they do that they have been able to stay in the US while that process continues. Now starting today in San Diego, they are going to be sent back into Mexico to wait for the process to play out which can take week. Six months or even years, in some cases. Okay. So let me get the straight. You come to the border. You want to submit an asylum claim, but there's this kind of bottleneck right now, they only take a certain number of people a day. So you wait in line for weeks and weeks gets the office you fill out the application saying, you know, I fear for my life. It's now the US will send you back into Mexico while they look into it. That's exactly right. I mean, this applies to people who cross illegally or people that DHA says do not have proper documentation. And so what you'll often see Brad immigrants will try and cross illegally present themselves to border agents with the intention of being apprehended. And then they will be allowed to initiate that asylum claim and wait in the US either released or in a US detention center, while they're application goes through the asylum process. We don't have laws we have catch and release you catch and then you'll mmediately release and people come back years later for a court case, except they virtually never come back. And so this is why the Trump administration calls this catch-and-release, right? You've got people who literally. Seek out border agents. So that they can be detained. They tell the story. And then they get to stay in the US while this whole asylum process plays out. But here's my question Quinn. If you're already waiting in Mexico to apply, and now, you're waiting in Mexico even longer to hear back, doesn't it just give people more of a reason to say forget this. I'm just going to hop the fence and disappear into into Minnesota somewhere. I mean, this just be great news for the Coyote business. Well, that's that's right. And we do know that for a lot of families in past programs that have allowed people to be released from detention centers have always had a good track record of people then coming back to actually adjudicate their claims the Trump administration disagrees with that process now D H plans to roll this out across the entire southern border. Eventually, but this is gonna get held up in the courts almost immediately after get started today breath, and we just got the new numbers from this week apprehensions of illegal crossings went up two hundred eighty percent from last year to this year. Thank you Quinn. Thanks breath. Next up on start here. Venezuela is a powder keg. So with Americans still inside how short is the fuse of nNcholas Maduro. Get started today at indeed dot com slash podcast. That's indeed dot com slash podcast. If you go to Wikipedia right now and type in Venezuela. It'll tell you the president is nNcholas Maduro. Look it up twenty thirteen to present. But that is not how the United States government season the regime of former President Nicolas Maduro is illegitimate we therefore consider all of its declarations in actions illegitimate and invalid the Trump administration. Now says the leader of the country is thirty five year olds one Guido the head of the opposition national assembly, and they have a warning from the Douro that American diplomats are no longer. Welcome in their country. ABC's chief national correspondent Matt gutsiness reported extensively from Venezuela over the years. And Matt is this a weird wonky political situation is this the beginnings of a civil war? I I don't know how to categorize it right now. But it is very weird an unprecedented situation, the United States and some other countries. Many other countries have declared Guido the legitimate president of Venezuela. Nncholas Maduro is a dictator. With no legitimate claim to power we are talking to him directly. And he is talking to us directly. And in the midst of this are you as diplomats about one hundred of them with their families stuck in Venezuela. A country that Maduro the president until a few days ago who runs the military and the secret police has said are no longer welcome. He wants them out in seventy two hours. Now, the US is beginning to actually repatriate families in non essential staff. That shows how serious this is because they are caught right in the middle of this brinksmanship. It is going to be a very interesting weekend. The seventy two hours lapses on Saturday. So we should know more than but does Maduro go with the military and try to oust them does the military follow his orders, and do they know that that could possibly lead to an all out confrontation with the United States because the US and President Trump have said that if they mess with our diplomats that is essentially inactive war. So the US is supporting Guido a bunch of countries followed suit, but there's also this long history. Right. Matt of the US trying to topple Latin American governments and not everyone is on board here. So so what is the international dividing line Latin America, by and large seems to support Guido? The upstart that he's the guy from the national assembly. So the dividing line is essentially pro American governments in Latin America and the world in the EU is leaning towards Guido and against Madero. And then the other side of it are essentially the adversaries of the US in the world right now. Russia Turkey, Nicaragua, Cuba, states like that. And so it kind of hearkens back to the Cold War situation that we haven't really seen very much recently. Well, yeah. And so Matt and understanding to figure out Medeiros options. Then right. And he's got the military. Like, you said for now several generals have pledged allegiance to him. So Madero either you'd think would either have to arrest Widodo this. You know, you'd have to declare him a criminal and say, he's not the president or you'd have to like Guinness peacefully. Coexist, you'd have to flee Venezuela. Never come back. Right. Right. So I got to find Guido in order to do it. We haven't seen him lately he said he will not officially go into hiding. But yet he can't really be found. So that's one thing he could tried arrest them. Obviously. That's not looking great right now. The other thing is fleeing. I don't think Madore was going gonna flee. He is his hard line HOV STA. A believer in socialism as you will find he's not going to leave. And I don't think he's going to be offered any sort of olive branch off ramp that might allow him to gracefully exit the scene. So there's going to be some sort of confrontation or another. Option is that he just lets things play out as they are. Because right now, the Venezuelan people are silent they took to the streets this week by the tens and hundreds of thousands. We haven't really heard from it. And unless they had these continued protests for days and weeks on end, it really won't mean much, and then Madero could essentially act like nothing happened. Because remember he still got control the military. He still has control of the secret police, and that is effectively all of the power in Venezuela. The military controls the food the medicine and everything that comes into that country. So as long as he has their support he's doing okay, it's going to say you arrest them. You get the protesters back in the streets. You just ignore him. And hope he goes away. And maybe just maybe you hold onto your power. All right. Matt men. Thank you so much. Thanks, brad.

"It's Friday January twenty fifth. It's been more than a month. Can we buy ourselves? Three weeks. We start here. Republicans and Democrats come up with a plan to pay federal workers through with a pay period and a half. But getting the president on board might come down to one little word as negotiation sputter, the Trump administration just made big changes on the border. They are going to be sent back into Mexico to wait how asylum policy in this country just shifted an American diplomats were ordered to leave play guy. They say isn't president? He's still got control the military. He still has control of the secret police how nasty could things get in Venezuela. From ABC news. This is start here. I'm Brad milkey. Are you hiring with indeed you can post a job in minutes set up screener questions than zero in on your shortlist of qualified candidates using an online dashboard get started today at indeed dot com slash podcast. That's indeed dot com slash podcast. This morning federal workers would normally be seeing new money in their accounts or their paycheck at their desk. Instead, they're getting zeros. No seriously. These workers literally still get pay stubs informing them they ever see zero dollars. Scott Freeman is one of those government employees, and he lined up this week in Philadelphia and makeshift foodbank. Pretty run a couple of older teenagers college high school senior, and the only incomes announcer from to government employees for the latest on the trade tensions with China and other issues. That's welcome. US commerce secretary a Wilbur Ross yesterday morning CNBC got an interview with commerce secretary Wilbur Ross federal workers who are going to homeless shelters to get food. And he basically said Scott Friedman is doing it wrong. Well, I know they are an I don't really quite understand why because these people are gonna get paid that money is guaranteed by the federal government. So why can't they just take out a personal loan? Thanks and the credit union should be making credit available to them that sound soundbite ricocheted around DC. The let k kind of attitude or call your father for money while makers were going into the capital to vote on two bills. One was President Trump's plan. If you give me billions of dollars for a border wall. I will open the government and give Democrats protections for Dr recipients and refugees. The other was a democrat proposal that just said reopened the government. No wall for now. It is my hope that the democratic senators go to their leader and say, this is a bad idea for democratic senators to hold hostage, the paychecks of the men and women the coastguard at one point Ted Cruz told Democrats, you know, first responders or some of the people suffering here. That's who's feeling this Senator Michael Bennet from Colorado lost. When the Senator from Texas shut this government down in two thousand thirteen my state was plotted. It was under warm people were killed. From there. The Senate voted on this vote on this vote. Both bills fell short. Not agree to and we told you this would probably happen. Right. We expected this. But that's when things got unpredictable. I wanna bring in ABC's. Trish Turner who runs. Our Capitol Hill coverage and Trish, you're in the hallways. These votes came through right? Yes. And you know, so we would you know, they failed. And then it was like oh gosh. What's going to happen? Now, this is usually what like when lawmakers go home for the weekend. So so what does happen next year? Yes. On thursdays. The jet fumes are very strong around here. But instead of that I thought eleven just going to come down and see because we saw some of the negotiators who have been kind of meeting off and on behind the scenes, and this is a bipartisan group, and they're not not generally like hair on fire, folks. And so, you know, you look for these people to get together, they're always in gangs of some sort. So it's Lindsey Graham, and it's Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins, and there's an interesting group of people Joe mansion, I caught Lindsey Graham coming off the floor, and he said, well, I just got off the phone with Trump. We're talking about three weeks CR and all of us believe if we had three weeks with the government open, the all. The discord coming from a shutdown that we could find a way for to preview open it up for three weeks. We will we will negotiate in good faith, and we will try to find a an agreement about border security. So that's the deal. That's it. So Graham told me that he said he looked so you know, the president seemed reasonable when I was trying to pitch that to him. And then there was this push. You know now now he said like McConnell and Schumer need to meet leader McConnell has requested. I go to his office. I think that's more important than some of these activities. And I am going to Senator I'm going to object. So over, you know, walks, you know, Chuck Chuck Schumer over to McConnell's office, and they you know, they proceed to talk, and you know, they're in there for a while. And you know, shimmer comes out and goes back to his office. And he just says we're talking, but which of course, Brad that like that's really big progress around here. So you know, they're talking why three weeks why is that? What what what would that do? I was talking to Senator Ben Cardin. And he's he's a Baltimore guy. He's he has a lot of federal workers. I'm in his district. So the way he described it was like, look it's a pay period and a half, you know, government workers are paid on like two week increments. So it's a pay period and a half that's three weeks. And it's not. Quite a month because around here, if you say a month that just sounds like forever will does little just drag our feet do workers get that back pay that they always say like we're gonna get our back pay. Eventually is that if the government opens like they get that immediately. Right cinder Carden said within two to three days the workers will start to receive this backpay. So I get that Lindsey Graham lakes that I get that Schumer McConnell like that. How does the president feel our own giancarl went in to talk to the president yesterday? John asked him specifically, you know, can you support this temporary? Bill, would you? What would you be open a temporary spending without money for the wall? Just just to Rio wouldn't be happy with it. I wouldn't be happy. But we have a lot of alternatives. Even if it has no wall money John drills a little harder. I have other alternatives. If I have to use those alternatives. I have to we want to go through the system we have to have a wall in this country, but not wants to the actually shoot down the idea. He's talking a little bit about like a meeting a down payment, ideas suggested as they open it. They pay the. The prorated down payment for the wall Makino and speaker Pelosi didn't she does she's not speaking favorably about that? I don't know if team knows what he's talking about. I don't know what that means. Democrats are sticking to their guns opened the government. We will negotiate with you. But I will say the the most notable sign is that President Trump to our giancarl didn't shoot that down yesterday. When he was asked. Okay. So you're telling me these failed votes might have actually accomplished something. Then right. They're not just legislative tumbleweeds like they pushed the ball forward. What is the deal that actually comes out of it? I mean, can it even include the word wall. That's a great question. So it it almost feels like we are back to where we started with. So when I was I talking about like, it's this government going to shut down over this border wall thing, and you know in aids on both sides leadership. Aides senior people on the appropriations committee were like, no, it's not gonna happen. This is all about semantics, Trish. So it's all about how you define a wall. What do you call? I don't think Democrats opposed in physical barriers is just president constantly involves his description of the wall he'd be willing to accept a steel barrier also called so that I give them a little bit of an out steel slats. We've had some Democrats saying well would if we call it a smart wall. We put we put drones in sensors and fence, we fix the fencing where it's all messed up, and we'll give you. Five point seven billion dollars as long as we don't call it a wall. But but it's still the money is the same the money is the same. So we, and we just saw that recently speaker Pelosi plus up the money to five point seven billion dollars for border security in the homeland security title in the suss bending Bill fight. Hopefully, it will be finished soon. And that you will see at commitment to for security. She is going to outline just exactly what that five point seven billions going to be spent on and if this three week CR stopgap Bill, you know, would would she agree to any kind of offering or what could you call it that might satisfy her and her party, we're thirty five days in at this point, Trish how unified are these parties because all these lawmakers have their own angry constituents right now. So we've been watching for these cracks, and you know, in the vote yesterday, we saw signs I was actually surprised six Republicans supported the Democrats proposal when the vote for the president's proposal failed. We went to see the second alternative voted for that as well again because I wanna see government get open and government workers. Get paid our newest member from Utah Mitt Romney and all the way to like a more conservative Republican from Georgia, Johnny is exempt and institutionalists. So it's an interesting mix of Republicans who voted for this. But six Republicans are voting with the Democrats to open up the government without any wall funding. So that surely is a warning signal to the White House. I'm like you said President Trump seemed kind of unsure himself how to handle this in the morning. He tweeted we will not cave in the afternoon. He's taking this stopgap measure in the consideration. But not signing off on a Trish wild day. Thank you for walking us through it. Always a pleasure. So

"I don't think I can take a stand against celebrating Christmas to the fullest extent of the Holiday Inn. If that means you wanna turn your car into some kind of makeshift reindeer with Antlers. I don't mind frankly is long as and this is important that shit's only on your car for like a three week period. You can put it on a weakened December. You take that bitch off the second Christmas is over like the next day. If I driving around January third with Antlers on your car you ruin. It for everybody. Don't do that the other holiday stuff that happens that I don't have a problem with that. I normally would I mentioned like the fake leg hanging out the trunk will if it's an elf leg with an elf shoe on it and it's wearing green stockings in its December. After the first week, suddenly I don't care anymore. I think that's funny. I don't know why the holidays are like a loophole for vehicular trash moves for me. And that's just me doesn't mean that that way for everybody as we know trash trash is trash does. And it is judged in different ways different strokes for different folks, strokes, whatever and I'm fine with the elf wag hanging out the back. I'm not cool. How ever would you wrapping your car with Christmas lights or something psycho like that the way over the top Christmas guy with the card that any version of the over the top car decorations like the guy who has thousand bumper stickers on the back. You suck, sir. You look stupid. And I'm sick of having to try to read every single one on the back of your car before the light turns green, I only get like half of them, and it's really upsetting. Because the other ones were probably the funnier ones that I missed. I fucking hate it. So don't overdo it don't wrap your car and fucking Christmas lights. You psycho. Just do some simple. If you have to make your car holiday, seasonal just do some simple go with the Antlers or something..

"He was on a little two, three week, American tour. It was right before soundcheck. I think his team was a little worried about the time. I never want to stress anybody out if they're on a schedule. So of course, I was a little uptight about it too. But once we started talking man that all melted away pretty much instantly despite never having met him before we connected really fast, I felt like I was talking to a kindred spirit and you know, he didn't have anything in particular. He was trying to promote. We were just two guys who liked music having a conversation. I think that's when this podcast is at its best. I am however putting links in the description of this show where you can go fine. All of. His music, all of his tour dates, everything. You definitely need to be following Murrow Masa. I've always been pre blown away at how good is music is. But in this case, I was pretty blown away by how well-spoken how intelligent guy was, you know, he's still young. He started super young. I got kind of focused on that in the conversation trying to figure out what that was like, and it's fun to talk to somebody who's in that position because you realize the potential of what they could go on to do. They have so much more time to keep making shit to keep innovating. And I think you can tell that's really what's important to him in this conversation, the evolution of it, the art of it. It's a pure thing when he talks about it, and I really dig that and we went all over the map. We talked about everything you know, from his moments where you're kind of intersected with the pop world with the mainstream world, a little more to underground scenes. You know, growing up on a tiny little island, it sounded insane, man. He was a great commerce. I really enjoyed it. I think you're going to enjoy it as well. I know I say that every time, but I mean, you're listening to the show so you know, fuck it. I think you'll enjoy. Let's get into a right now. This is me and Mirma backed aback less go..

"To three week period and then the pain is still present and what that tells us as it begins to show us that now we're starting to deal with more an issue that is more related to muscles that means like you know again you know we have muscles that are influencing the pain and again within about three or four weeks if you have a muscle issue where muscle injury those issues should go away and people may say well doc will your why do you why do muscles take three to four weeks to heal while you know muscles actually get really good blood supply and good blood flow have muscles themselves can heal you know for the most part within three or four weeks so if you injure a muscle that's gonna flare up it's going to be compatible but then it should go away and then the third payment we look at us something you know what that people don't realize again with inflammation we have muscles within the third one we also have is actually his pain that's related to nerves now this is a pain that can kind of come and go this is something that may have been there you know two years ago when a disappears and you think it's fine and then boom all of a sudden it flares up again in that's kind of how our nerves work is it his third type of pain it can move it can change it can go from the back to the hip to the foot to the shoulder so in pain starts moving a lotta time door comes and goes that's usually the sign now we're maybe dealing with with the pain that actually is a nerve issue and so that's how that goes so will we focus on inflammation let's go back to this has worked so inflammation we know is that the root cause of so many disease processes you know so some of the major causes of inflammation is obviously our diet you know for many years we got very addicted to these bad fats we became very deficient in healthy good ones in this begin to skyrocket inflammation yeah we went from this this whole theory of body butters bad eat margarine and so you know we just kind of over you know.
