Should I upgrade to the iPhone 12?

"Dot com slash talking. So the number one question I've been asked on social media. All Week goes like this. Should I upgraded the iphone twelve I mean I like the phone I have now do I really have to while I've been testing the twelve and twelve pro since Tuesday in the short answer is sorry folks. Yes. But there's a lot of qualifiers you get the best iphone that apple has made yet with a welcome redesign that feels better hold a faster processor and a camera that really performs near miracles in low light. But two important things to consider the biggest selling point that apple is pushing for the new ones is that they connect to the new supposedly faster five G. Wireless Standard. But as you've heard me say all week long current five G. is really spotty hello verizon or not currently much faster than four G. Hello at and T., and T. Mobile in my home. My wife I is twice as fast as T. mobile's five G. but the promise of five G. is there and should start to become real by mid to late twenty twenty one. So No, you don't upgrade for the five G. You could easily wait for the next edition. So what's the biggest selling point the camera? But. Beyond the two iphones being released Friday, there were two more new iphones coming in November. In one of the new models, the pro Max promises to be the one serious photographers will want to hold out for it will have a larger image sensor and bigger pixels than the twelfth pro and only cost a hundred dollars more. It also tout's a larger telephoto Lens clocking in at sixty, five millimeter versus fifty two millimeter on the twelfth pro that means it gets you closer to the action. For the rest of us, the basic twelve and twelve pro might not be that much better than what you have. Now it depends on your needs. Now take a look at my article USA Today Dot Com and you'll see back to back pictures on older phones and the new one I see a big difference on the shots that I did in Manhattan beach on the eight and the twelve. The photo on the twelve is full of pop and vigor. The picture on the eight is a little muddy. Now, I could fix that in three seconds in a photo editing program to you WANNA do that. I don't know. Do. You have an older phone like seven or eight. It's time to upgrade. You get away, Zip your phone a bigger screen and it's just time. If you take a look at the back to back pictures that I did

How The Official California Voter Guide Gets Made

"The official voter guide summarizes each ballot measure give some context and. The main arguments for and against them all in one place here to tell us all about it is K. Q. Welcome to the audio version of the California voter information guide for the November Third Two thousand and twenty general election repaired by the California Secretary of State's office. Wow that's a lot of work and the Secretary of State's office males the paper version to over eleven million households yet depending on the number of measures on the ballot it costs between six and fourteen million dollars to produce each time but they save money by printing. It's on this thin crappy paper. And I tend to scribble all the pages and leave a thing lying around reporting this story for Bay curious, Katrina has given me a whole new respect for what it takes to get this booklet into voters mailboxes. Every couple years for starters are learned surprising things about it from the person who oversees its production. My name is Joanna. Suffered I'm the assistant chief of elections for the Secretary of State's office. says. California. has been publishing an official voter guide in some form or other since the early nineteen hundreds, it's the largest mailing that the secretary of State's office puts out and California is among only a dozen or so us states offer this resource. We often have Californians who move away and say, oh my gosh. Information died in my state. How do I make this happened I miss it hiker up in California, and I had no idea that other states don't make a voter guide. So how do they put it together? Join. US says about four months before the election, the secretary of State's office collects information for the guide from four sources I. Joanna and her team writes up some basic somehow and wet vote. Second. Does the Attorney General Who's responsible for writing the basic ballot language namely, the ballot titles and summaries proposition twenty, four Amends Consumer Privacy Laws Initiative Statute. Third. The state's legislative analyst contributes a detailed breakdown of each measure. It includes things like historical context, financial impacts and costs under state law certain businesses that operate in California and collect personal data must meet consumer data privacy requirements. Fourth and last. The Secretary of State's office solicits arguments for each of the measures. One arguments in favor one arguments against and rebuttals to each four in total for. and. Who are the lucky people who get to write these things I mean they're worth go out to at least eleven million households, right so the bottom line Katrina is that anyone can submit an argument for or against a ballot measure the secretary of state posts the propositions on their websites and people have a little less than three weeks to submit arguments way but not everybody who sends in an argument gets picked right exactly. Joanna suffered says there's a pecking order when it comes to selecting the authors. said. There is a preference in priority outlined in our state elections code. It's all laid out in section nine, zero, six, seven it gets complicated. Generally members of the legislature get bus tips on writing measures they put on the ballot.

Storylines from Roland Garros 2020

"Everyone John, we're up here in this week's sports illustrated tennis podcast late Wednesday night we have reached the round of four. We've reached the semi. Draws so Jamie and I will talk some tennis from Roland Garros and. We would try to keep it sufficiently general. So the school be absolutely by the time you're listening Jamie how are you? I'm good. How are you from a little little cold but no complaints it's been spin. French Open like no other, it's been an interesting interesting time so far but you know the the good news is Kobe hasn't really become the story, and if we're talking about the chilly weather and not a global pandemic, that's a win in itself. In here, we are at the business end of our second major in four weeks. You're cold or office cold. I think some other players are cold I think joke just cold I've seen a lot of PARKAS. I actually double check the weather temperature today because I said, how cold is it? Really there people are inferred jackets and you know Winter Winter Parkas I think some people look like they're going skiing. Is it really that cold I? Mean you're you have survived many New York winters what's going on? Oh boy I'll say a few things. One of them is that whatever the temperature is it is that an accurate indicator is has that sort of British chill where you're. Just coal to the bones. You know I mean obviously for for athletes it's it's different. You're running around your your body's warming up than stopping as rob pointed out I think some of this is just what people are accustomed to. There's a part of me that doesn't mind it. You know we we played tennis in extreme conditions or extreme heat must failure I think it probably speaks well of the sport that same players that win when it's one hundred twenty degrees or winning when it's forty nine degrees. I would say that I think this has had a bit of an impact, not so much on the level of play but I don't think the caliber of play has dropped because everybody is. Dressed like they're going skiing I think it hasn't changed the mood in the vibe and we've got Novakova did and it's it's just funny how these tournament sort of change as they progress but there there is not been as far as i. can tell a whole lot of Kobe fear doesn't seem to be much of the talk it doesn't come up much in press conferences. Does, players like Daniel Collins shoot it down, but it's been if this is not the French Open that people are used to and I thought at the US Open the apparel manufacturers missed a golden opportunity not to do more with the surface area of these masks. Why not put a? Cough alligator or Nike swoosh mask, and here it's time to show off the winter gear in the Lacoste and Nike. And Adidas Park aware because as soon as the vitamins you've seen like as soon as the players. Get done leaving the court they as a record it Patrick of did it they all put on Ski Jack So It's been a twist on the tournament but again I mean. For the last six months you and I have been talking about. Bubbles and pandemics, and how are we going to get athletes from all over the world? Into into a common spot. And the fact that the talk has been a lot about. Tennis and conditions and scheduling and doubles and singles in wide open draws. And not about players tested positive I think is a good sign. For sure. I wanted to ask you I was reading and piece by CPS ignore and he he said that you know it was about the handshakes in about, of course, how they're really not happening anymore the racket touch. is now has now replaced it, and so I actually thought twenty because in the past few matches, we've actually seen some players after you know after the match in in the t match, he did it and there was some others where you know. They go to the night in a do this very strange hesitant high five or maybe there is a little bit of an embrace and course you sit there and you cringe and you say, oh no, they're touching each other amino they're so close I talk about Kobe and all this What is Of the players talked about the handshake what about you just watching? On my end I feel like You know a lot of after really great matches long matches. It's nice to see two opponents kind of embrace each other or just kind of you know pat each other on the back for for a hard-fought match and we don't see that what what are your thoughts on on just the lack of handshakes in this cova time. Yeah. You see handshakes like if you have. I have this thing where like I'll watch an old movie your you'll cringe and say, no social distance, oh. Yes. This was a bill before March of twenty twenty. So, yeah you see these these. Sort of belly paths or the even the on the shoulder at the you know the net you know I, mean I always loved the handshake I recited would've tennis is nice quirks. You spend hours battling with this opponent, and then the very first person you bake human contact with is that same opponent When Ron Swanson say about handshakes after the for dry and. In three seconds or something like that it's it's great. Now I mean the racket tap is a little bit strange in some players are are not even doing that other players are as as you know, there are have been a couple of exceptions. Dominant team seems to be a a serial offender which probably ultimately speaks well of him and it has has actually gone gone the hand I. He did what after the US Open finally did there were some some contact against Schwartzman I. Don't know I feel at some level you've been. You've been hitting a sweaty tennis ball back and forth for three hours at your opponent is touch. you know none of us are perfectly convicted and our Kobe protocol and the same person who watches groceries is. Also holding the poll on the subway. Think I think we all have a inconsistencies. I have to think if you've been using the same tennis ball as as another opponent and your bodily fluid is getting on that same tennis ball I don't know if you brush palms at the net for a second to is that really so bad but yeah. I mean there are a lot of sort of jarring little twists I mean the lack of a crowd I think has been especially acute here in France especially when French players have taken the court because often the the fans try to impose themselves on the match here Dan. Is it really happening? it'll be interesting to see what stays in what doesn't I mean if I never see another ball kid and all towel again, that's that's probably a good thing It's very strange doing a courtside interviewed a math. It'll be interesting to see I mean I think we're already sort of looking to twenty twenty, one I suspect there will be him shakes at the twenty twenty one Australian Open because the players will of quarantine for two weeks and essentially what what I'm wants the players were there. And test negative in are in this this quarantine situations that they they don't even have to wear masks

"About confident free agents Biz while. Tab Maroon is once again an unrestricted free agent after winning back to back cups and I think we should send it over to him for his unique perspective on winning cup. Let's do it tied Maroon folks. Joy. now come on now is just the third guy of the expansion era to go back to back Stanley Cup champions with two different teams. He wanted of course last year at Saint. Louis. And he wanted again on Monday with the Tampa. Bay Lightning. Any certainly appears to be having one hell of a time celebrating down in Tampa congratulations on Stanley Cup number two, and thanks for joining us on spitting chocolates. Patty Maroon. Extra I appreciate it. Thanks Boys Arrived what an intro it's been a crazy couple few days as you can tell through my voice but. I still can't believe it. I it. It's nice to see you shared on first off. I thought there was no chance. You weren't to keep that going for the pod going to take it off, take it off of start. It off right but. You're speaking to your body. I heard you were having a sumo wrestling way offs with Ovechkin in the fucking. What's happened there? Who who had their? known everyone had me and and. I mean it was it was honestly what tonight that was to like. Doing way off with Ob and you know said there. Now of other boys I, mean it was not man like the whole the whole time. So it's good to hang out with those guys and actually have a couple of drinks get their personalities. Just who would ever thought I mean yourself. Acoustic. Saint Louis and to bring a cop to your hometown, and then you're you're not resigned which I trip them the other day I said, what we signed this guy fucking signed for nine hundred Tampa right like Jesus Christ but I digress. But then you go over to Tampa you've new John Cooper fifteen years ago whenever it was like just take me through your thought process on everything that's happened. If you really not even had the time to sit back and think about how special this has been. I mean I've had time but as you guys know the last. Few Days I've been. Pardons grank it. I've been bamboo go myself a couple days. So no I mean I had time. I mean when Kook got the call and he? When he called me, I got the call from it was you know he was like, Hey, what are you thinking about coming to Tampa let me talk to joy on Jimmy. Call Conversation with some other teams in the work but until then I wanted to go to a team that I wanted to win on and. And I thought Tampa. What they went through last year was I thought I can help their locker room I'm not going to help them on the scoresheet every single night but I know I can help them stick out from their teammates they can play a little bigger you know like Kuch can play bigger Tyler Johnson Stammer, Polat they can all play bigger and feel comfortable they have no No someone that can protect them that knew that a group That one at all and and I know I had history with winning Kooks. So was just icing on the cake. So I think he needed is good luck charm to win that cup for. You're too modest about the scoresheet thing because you're picking off sauce in the final game a mid air in the neutral zone. How good that one feel That felt good. How? Those are some Sekhmet Sarah, you look like, Kucherov on every single fucking bad pass that goes around him. He's like he's like the video game. If you just put it in his vicinity, he's going to find a way to get it on a stick in order to make a play. That guy is ridiculous. Kucherov in when he's in warm ups. Going like sixty percent and then that's a game. percent. Sean areas give me a shout out to about my stick. So. I can't complain about that. Now I mean fuck I don't know I black out there they go ahead my hands up in their bitching at the bench is you're telling me to get off and I was. Still made the places like shut up I know how long should be here. This long enough best partners I thought Volkov. It his first game and I was going nuts. Now's like who scored that I go to the pilots Coleman I was like Oh shit maybe I should have changed. Unreal that we've talked to other guys about the day to day aspect of the bubble and obviously you guys one in a great view guys. But how challenging did a gift? Not necessarily you but just the daily day to day grind of every day the same thing over and over again. I'm in it was a grind for sure. Are I think the problem is like? I'm so used to. An old but I'm used to leave an anthony every single year obviously the year before stayed in St Louis but I always used to being away from family. And I know some guys were asking me questions you know what it's like and it's GonNa hit home for you when you're two weeks and then a month and in a bubble that. You're a month and a half man and your family you can't see your kids and. And then when you get into. Yourself closer to the Stanley. Cup or the conference finals here trying to get your family Americans can't come in, but the Canadians can. Kinda sucks, and but we came together as a group during that whole time Toronto. We had Polka Ball. We had We had tennis courts. We had a pool outdoor We had like five restaurants. We had the beam oldfield where you can go over and play Spike Ball. Soccer football play catch. You know there's kind of a bar outside there's a restaurant open there at five o'clock. So we had we had thanks to do and trial. Then when you got the advertisement was kind of. The we call it the prison yard, which it wasn't, but it was a cement concrete where you can tell why guys in Edmonton were struggling probably more than the guys who? got the free ice caps. So I heard. Horton's. Best the. A free double doubles in the front. And So yeah, I mean it was. It was tough at times for sure when you're sitting there grinding your way, but we're fortunate to have a good team. So we never felt like we were out of it and I know you guys touched on a bit like when the teams down three one, three two or you kinda thrown in the towel just to get home like we didn't have that feeling we had a feeling. We're like we were wedding every single game and we're never done in this series resides in Boston down beside besides Dallas and so we always knew we'd find a way so. We're going home mentality attitude we came together. You know obviously. You guys know hotels you you. You have a few drinks, but it's Kind of hanging out and you really don't have anyone Cannellino beside yourself and your body is at your part of the team. So you kind of have to make make ends meet and I thought we did a good job with that.

Xbox Series X First Impressions With Danny Pea

"Right let's get into it. Britney I. See that the first story on the docket of course is xbox series x you guys have been on social media. This morning you may have seen that a bunch of outlets have been getting some hands on time with the new council that is slated to debut November and Peretz has got the details I have some of the deals who okay. So so these are hands on details regarding specifically backward compatible games, low times and quicker zoom. I feel like that's the only stuff that these outlets cover and if you want some really deep deep dives where they go into all the technical nitty-gritty, read the articles but I just kind of pulled some of the. High level thoughts here from certain outlets. So this one I one comes from venture beat quotes. Microsoft designed the XBOX series x to address the shortcomings that developers and Gamers have had to deal with since two thousand thirteen, the week, CPU that is held back world designed simulation complexity, the old laps laptop style hard drives that slow down the interface and the Games and the I o architecture that would bottleneck even an internal SEC. All of that is why veered so hard into PC gaming in two thousand fifteen and I'm hoping that the launch of the xbox series excellent enable us bury those tired old machines. This is the console that we should have had years ago and I'm so ready for it. The next one comes from the verge, the experts series x felt like I was playing on a familiar xbox that's a lot faster and more capable. The experience of switching back to an xbox was genuinely dispiriting for running my exist xbox games. The series x feels like I just upgraded my iphone everything feels smoother and faster. That's what she said from the verge and finally from Gamespot I was able to keep six games simultaneously. Suspended in quick resume and hop between them to pick up right where I left off when a Buddhist seventh game the first game I queued up in the process to be relaunched. So I lost the exact spot where I have left it suspended in there doesn't seem to be a warning when you're about to cause another game state to close completely but let's be honest having six games held in quick resume is more than enough And then we have some loading times. So for example, if you're playing redemption to you on the XBOX series x it takes thirty eight seconds on the xbox one x two minutes and eight seconds. If you're blink control ten seconds xbox one x fifty, eight seconds final fantasy fifteen, thirteen seconds on the xbox series x on the xbox one X, one minute eleven seconds, and for the outer world, it's eleven seconds. Verse Forty Three seconds. Who that excited let's go. For it definitely I definitely want to try out control and the world's once. I. Get some. The device will see. You haven't played the outer world yet or I love the world's the thing is I really so many. Go back. Yeah. I really finished it three or four times already. So. I love that game so much tried out for the switch to. How did you find it on switch? It was good. The law time was pretty bad though that was the only thing they're gonna like, and there was some parts that it was very slow in some parts of pending the area but over was pretty good. I played it all the way to the end so. Again. But. For, the most part were all very positive and it all seems like the solid state drive is the big winner here. Obviously, the quick resume is that program that allows you to you start one game and then started other game and the sutter, another game, and apparently up to seven games for this instance without having to you Buddha backup, you can just without having to go through the process of putting the other game booting backup back up. So you can essentially have all these games running at once. I personally will probably not use that but I'm assuming if you play multiplayer games with your friends because you actually play online with your friends but you know you might take advantage of it. Some other interesting tidbits, the orientation I thought this is funny from Brian, McCaffrey idea and said I think the series x also looks very nice and its vertical orientation I can't say the same when it's laying on its side, it looks more like a fireplace log. Oh. You know what's interesting about that though is that how are people going to accommodate that into their entertainment centers? It feels like it has to be set on top then or has to be said on the ground next year entertainment center. The problem is if you also get the places in five and this is where where are you going to put it like it's both pretty big especially places and five is huge so So. He Boys. Log In my entertainment stand. That's. Also one thing they said to, there's very quiet compared to. Previous consoles. Yes. That's a really good thing. Yeah. So yeah, over very to try it out. And also I preordered the XBOX series S. So. Did I yeah. Actually what was it? Was it easy for you it took me like an hour and a half to pre reminds. So the series s actually went relatively quickly on the Microsoft store or I had a pretty easy time of it but then when I went back to try to get the series Ex Could not get one.

Xbox Series X Hands-On: Load Times, Quick Resume, and Compatibility

"I. Apple's Beta Effect

"Have my notes, the Beta effect to talk about, and what that is is with with with going from fourteen fourteen to fourteen one, which we believe made for iphone twelve, and that's why we're not getting that. We also believe fourteen to was made before the final version of fourteen point zero and so when you update to fourteen point to. You can't use the new blood oxygen sensor APP on the Apple Watch because it requires your phone to have the version to do something with the data and so my watch on seven point zero watch os before was on fourteen two I couldn't do the oxygen singer tests I. Guess You have to accept the health disclaimers and stuff upfront right? That's probably and it saves it there too like the background. Readings where they go. So I think should say it must save on your watch before like if you're out and about without your phone, it's back into some pretty sure and then he just sinks him up. Right. Yeah. Yeah. So but it's like ekg where you've gotta you've gotTa have the version match up to support it and we need when you like started in the health app on the phone does it Does have that like. Explain urine like disclaimers like it does when you do EKG yeah I don't recall I. Mean there is an I button for information on the readout on the watch explains thing like ninety and above is pretty good. You've got kind of hunt for it to find that I think it should be like under the readout not at an disclosure button but I think. The reason is they didn't get medical sign off on the sensor because they call a wellness not medical, right? Yeah. So they have to be very careful about how they present this information and we respect about spending Keno after the show like. is kind of silly at the moment you just get this number and then you're kind of left your and devices about what to do about it but they haven't go FDA approved the weather you know the necessary. Regulatory. Accreditation they need to be able to make more defined choices like they can with Iki the cagey where if it does detect potential arrhythmia a directly sound on the screen you know go talk to your doctor about it like they don't have that same flexibility with with the blackhawks jeans and that's why in the event they would say like we aren't doing studies about blood oxygen and Covid, nineteen. The Apple Watch has a blood oxygen sensor lie they never would linked together because. The purchase self. So the the APP on the watch is very nice I. Mean we saw the animation from the event on seeing it in person it's lovely. It's blue and red. It's like blood arteries. And it as fifteen seconds to run it to do an like an act of measurement and. As you near like say three seconds it becomes it begins to form a circle of completion and it's just so delightful. How how looks You do see the last. Measurement in the APP itself. So if you go just launch it, you'll see the last say passive measurement that picked up. So you might say like when our three hours ago. And That's neat. So it's more data than than just here do or read out. Your readings to be like. Consistent enough that you think it's good because I've seen some reviews like I've been getting some resource I get ninety, six, hundred lights will have the place. So I don't really trust it. Yeah. Well. Not How to. Read. Out. That was like you're below ninety. And then I had one that was like you're you're in the ninety range than I would maybe be concerned but I've seen the rains be from ninety three to one hundred back to back tends to be pretty consistent for me. Washington Post. They had an issue where they tried different watches and bands and just could not it to work the right way have had that experience. Sensor depends on like your skin and You know. The Senate doesn't work if you've got tattoos for instance so. Different reasons and stuff like transparent basically. So it's you know. No Job for it. And if there was an issue like despite being review watched, that's the point of this talk about the experience I would mention in trust me. I mean lot with the series five hours of disinterested and reviewing because of an issue that had which I read about instead. Of. The. Battery Life So. I've been on this one fine. Yeah. A lot of people have have had shoes with seven on their existing watches having less better life than they had before I have had that and I don't know what the clear processes take restores instead of his new

Backup Is Not a 4-Letter Word

"If, you've ever seen Dustin Hoffman in the movie the graduate. You'll recognize what I'm about to say. He received sage advice for his career in just one word now remember this was the nineteen sixties. That one word plastics? Will I have just one word that should be at the foundation of your backing up an archiving strategy automate Absolutely automate. So I'm going to be covering a few techniques today but at the heart of the process for your backing up in archiving and I will make a distinction between the two you need to have as much automation as possible. If indeed, you're truly going to have a system that is up to date in liable and all that good stuff. Now, in my case, I have I cloud in dropbox I cloud grabs, files of that are on my neck or that go into photos, and that's a lot of files I have the big plan to two terabyte plan and all they have to do is pay the. Bill once a month and I'm good to go. I don't have to think about it. Any further than that in dropbox grabs files out of specific folders again, just takes care of it. All to do is pay the annual fee and I'm good to go there as well. Now, you may choose a different service but I encourage you to bring as much automation as you can into your backup plan because the more automation you have the stronger your plan will be now before I get to my five tips in addition to automation I, just WANNA share a note on the difference between backing up in archiving, they are not synonymous. Backing up is what you do during the project to ensure that you don't lose your work if you're working on a wedding. You probably not going to get it all done in one night or in one sitting. So you back up so that when you come back to your wedding, you know you can just pick up and go. But as something weird happens, you haven't lost your project. But when you're backing up, you're not backing it up in the final state you're backing up a work in progress. Archiving happens when the project is over. In case, you need to revisit it for whatever reason. Now, archives are the final version in general you don't save all the incremental backups that lead to the final version you say, the final version itself. So archives are the final version. They don't need to be as quickly accessible as your backups, your backup she want right there on the flash drive or wherever you happen to be using. Their the works in progress archives the final version a writing. Now regardless of if it's an archive or backup, you need to have a system, right you need to have a system for managing both from this point forward I'm going to use a more or less interchangeably, but I want you to understand that archives are longer term backups are more works in progress. Right here are five additional thoughts to consider when endeavoring. To. Preserve your work. Okay. This start out with the classic three to one rule. I'm sure you're familiar with this and if you're not, you're going to be in just a few seconds three, two one. Well, what does that mean it means three copies of your data one primary copy into backups. Two types of storage media local drive you know network, you know whatever happens to be two types of media and one copy off site or in the cloud in the cloud qualifies as offsite three, two, one, three copies of your data, two types of storage media and one copy off site or in the cloud. Now, I do both offsite and in the cloud. So I have a copy of that goes to my home, right my. Primary. Copy is here at the studio I have it backed up on a hard drive here. So I'm actually like at four something like that, and then I have most of that data in the cloud. Well. So I like both offsite in cloud, but you know one or the other the thinking being that you can be as fastidious as possible backing up your data if you have it on a hard drive next to the computer. And something happens at that particular location, rather be theft or some sort of natural disaster or whatever. Then you still lose everything. So off site is important because chances are good that you know something that ten miles away on a server hundred miles away that if something happens to your locally that you're offsite copy will still be accessible case with three two, one, three, two, one, three copies, two types of media and one copy offsite. Number two don't erase your memory cards until three two one is in place. This is something that have advocated for a long time. Or at least consider your memory cards, one of those three

Boston - Seahawks Stop Cam Newton On The Goal Line, Escaping With 35-30 Win Over Patriots

"Pages Seahawks I tried to tell him that he keeps telling me. He doesn't this one came down to the last three seconds faster. The goal line down five with a chance and cam gets stuff not even close cam though and Ross did put on a show eight total touchdowns between them but the Patriots coming up too short here is Cam Newton on getting tonight on that last play. It was a great play by. Day We had favored gain program the couple of times figure. This thing into the world to midtown but identity today. Said so confident about. Being bowed executing. Could've balanced it no looking to. Better. Better here at the end. And You know we we put ourselves in a position to win and. When you do that and just gotTa Got Senate, show you'll be. and. With that, we welcome in our quarterback Michael Vick Mike. Let's start there. Would you make that final play the game? Cam said they may have went to the where one soon times with that play but that's the play that they executed. Well. Over the last two weeks and I think he scored a touchdown early on a similar plate and even ahead of play action off of that place. So. Bet Play is a play that they can use any. Situation would be third down. Razov and has been effective. I honestly don't think it should it came down to that play. There were plays in a game I think maybe one or two cam probably would have won it back. A couple questionable, third-down caused, and which they ran the ball nate allow Camden Doda football so. Probably should've never came down to that wind play particularly, but I think cam play well play winning football. They play football on both sides and I was very impressed highly impressed but off this play will spend more plays for the doing pages in Kansas and let's really comfortable. Running a system and they're going to be a tough team to beat. Not Soon Change. They're going to beat the New England patriots. Team planning the postseason easily but at the same time. They're gonNA come situations in the game where they gonNA. have to find ways to win games like this and I'm pretty sure that they'll go back and look this film. It comes down to them being. On one and a two yard line and finding a way to get it in I. Think they was kind of shocked in that moment and just search a four play call.

Emmys 2020: Who won big at the first virtual ceremony

"Emmy's happened last night. The last couple days I want to say like through last week, there was some of the you know, technical Emmys and Creative arts Emmys and they've all been I've been seeing like the results of those, but these were the actual Actors and actresses and shows and You know the hole, but it was It was virtual, right? Yes. So every I think that they They actually put a show together to do the Emmys. Um But the other ones that I think we're just getting. I'm sure there was some kind of ceremony on zoom or something. But I don't know that those ones were televised. They might have been. No, I mean, look, I didn't I Maybe you mentioned it. Maybe I read. Maybe I didn't. It was a shock to me at whatever time nine o'clock last night when I started seeing the news roll through, and I was like Emmys. You talked about it a little remember? It was, you know, because Jimmy Kimmel was hosting and so there was some talk, but I play police. Li forgot about it and the whole thing so I didn't see one second of it. Oh, yeah, no. And, frankly, these days because of you, Khun DVR things I'd never sit and watch things in real time anyway, so Because who wants us in just to put the others on When I organize S O. The big winner last night is Schmidt's Creek. It's not the name of the show, but right The clothes. They were saying it on TV because I did see a clip after that. They were saying the word, but I don't want you don't want no trouble with you. Just don't I considered it. You know, it spells have pointed out that every time they say it, they had to put the actual words upon these people can read it with. Oh, right. You see, It's not what you think There's an extra tea and they've thrown at sea in there, okay? So I'm just gonna say Schmidt's creek because I'm with you. You know, whatever. I just guess Monday's gonna be hard enough, right? Yeah. What's our theme? We don't want to. We don't want no trouble. That's right. I keep forgetting the better. That's our theme. Well, since I should write that down here, put it up with all my little, you know, daily affirmations. So the Emmys was virtual And Schmidt's Creek swept in all this is it's actually quite amazing because it has never won an Emmy in any other season. Currently they're grand total of Emmy's up till this season when they took him all zero. It doesn't It seems to be a show that we used to have a million of them. And not that, you know. Ahh, that name in particular is obviously means that's a cable show, right? I mean, it's just It's not your Big four or whatever. But it's just a sitcom, and it's fun and it's and it's not that You could miss it, and you wouldn't care. But you could also sit down and watch four episodes on any given night and be like, Wow, that was light. It was easy is their thread that you follow along with? Yes, it's the family that has moved. Uh, I won't tell you the whole story. But yes, there's a story behind Why they're in this motel and Right off super rich. It's only that I find a just a life. Oh, poor things. Is that a Netflix show? It doesn't even say here. Oh, yeah, It's a Netflix. Yeah. So they won nine Emmys for their sixth and final season, including best comedy Siri's. It's a new record for most wins in a single season for a single comedy. Marvellous. Mrs. Mazel had had the record. They said it in 2018 with eight and then they got eight more in 2019. And I don't know if this means that Mrs Mazel was just completely shut out. Oh, end because all the comedy awards seemed to have gone to Schmidt's Creek. The cast swept the acting categories, and that's the first time a comedy Siri's has done that Eugene Levy and Catharine O'Hara won best actor and actress and Daniel Levy and Annie Murphy, one supporting actor and actress. And they're saying here that's never happened. So congratulations to them. Daniel Levy also set a record for most wins for an individual in a seat in a single season with four because he also got trophies for writing and directing and Best comedy Siri's because he's a producer. So he actually technically that four Just for himself personally. Zero m. He's heading into the night. They never had any kind of incredible. But I guess you know, with my cell dominating in the last couple of seasons would be hard for anyone to rack up any numbers. They also set a record last night at the Emmys for most wins by black actors, including Regina King and Yaya Abdul Mateen. Ah, The second for watchman. Ouzo Duba for Mrs America. And Zendaya for euphoria. She's also the youngest Emmy winner in this category. Outstanding lead actress for drama. Stop me. If you have pulled any audio for any of these things in particular, I pulled some furs and die a winning it Isa from Oakland, apparently which is why we wanted to make sure we've got her on. So here she is reacting. Yeah, it is her reacting and she says a couple of things, but just there's there's a party behind her. So I know that I just want to say thank you to the TV academy to all the other incredible women in this category. I I admire you all so much. This is, um Oh, this is pretty crazy. Didn't really crying, Okay? I know this feels like a really weird time to be celebrating. But I just want to see that there is hope in the young people out there. I know that our TV show doesn't always feel like a great example of that. But there is hope in the other people, and I just want to say to all my peers out there doing the work in the streets. I see you. I'm are you I Thank you. And yeah, thank you so, so much. Um, this is thank you. And, of course, is through zoom. So right. Well, everyone was zooming in S O. She's the youngest any award winner for outstanding lead Actress for drama. So congratulations, Twos and Dia. And I guess I assumed that that party was happening in Oakland flatter know about that, But I do know she's she's pretty accomplished for such a young lady heard she's stars in Great America, the greatest showman Ohio. I want to say the great American hero. I don't know what she's in the great American. Ah, SOS and Dia. Congratulations to her. Eddie Murphy and Maya Rudolph one for Saturday Night Live, I guess for guest appearances and Ron Cephas Jones for this is us Eso Black actors Big night of record for most wins by black actors at the Emmys last night. The ceremony itself was obviously very different. Jimmy Kimmel hosted in an empty arena. Tried to fool us with crowd reactions from past ceremonies. Was anyone some of that? Yeah, sure. I'll watch a little of that. Oh watchmen. Also what Jerry Falwell Jr was into Flashing people appreciating and there's a flash of him in the audience. Then how much hilarious here that would mean that no one is in the audience. That would mean that I'm a lump here all alone. You'll see them. They turn the lights up. Just of course I'm here all alone. Of course. We don't have an audience. This isn't a mag a rally. It's the Emmys. Instead of a live audience. We took a page from baseball tonight and we filled the seats with cardboard cutouts of the nominees. You can see we have. Regina King, Hugh Jackman, Jason Bateman. Wait a minute. Go back one. Jason Patient, He's really hilarious. Yes, they did move. Mind your business Camel Big night for May. I know it's a big night but you can't be in here. We have very strict safety protocols. I'm clean guy. OK, I'm a big big washer upper always have been smell my hands like a garden. No, thank you. I'm sure you're clean. That's not the point. We just have a limit on how many people we can have in the building. So you really need to go? No, I don't. I don't. Okay. I haven't left the house for six months. Don't send me back there. I want to be here. This isn't a ritzy You know, I mean, I wantto eat shrimp with the cast of the crown. All right, I'm gonna want Mario Lopez asked me about my pants. Let's go. We don't have any friends that you could stay as long as you promise to laugh at my jokes. I'm out. I'm gonna call the car Loved Jason Bateman. Job. Good job s O. He reveals he's alone Except for Jason Bateman. Jimmy Kimmel. Continue with the show and some presenters did join him live. Jennifer Aniston was there. Did you grab that? I did here. Let me just pull that up. On the video. I said. I said, thanks, Jimmy. Other all across the stage from each other, Never, Never mind. It? Yes, I'd love some wine. No, I I said, Never mind. Oh, why are you standing all so far away from me, Dr Fauci said 60 ft. So 60 ft. No, isn't he said 6 Ft. Thank you. You also have sexy feet. Okay? Here, and that's it. Hilarious by the way. She then got in her extremely fast car lives right around the corner from there, and ah, she she made another appearance from her house later. So right? Yeah, but we're here. Oh, okay heads and there's Courtney Cox, Courtney's there. Of course I'm here. We live together. You do know there's a lag. Yeah, We've been roommates since 1994. But I don't know is it is this live TV? Both of you very well done. It's super cute. But the awkward, you know, three seconds of science, retired ruins everything before it does. We're very well acquainted with the awkward three seconds of silence, ruining everything. That is the life we're living right now. Anyway. Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox and Lisa could row whether she just jetted home after 60 ft. Away appearance on the show the awards, though, as they handed these out So I'm not sure how exactly this happened. If only the people who were actually getting the awards had people in has Matt suits outside their homes. No, it seems that Ah, they had everybody on standby like you'd have somebody in front of your house and has been with the award, but you might not win. So that way, everybody still kind of Were they holding? Just like a box. So you didn't know if there was any in it or not. Or that there were things that they were popping out of boxes, too. And that no one boxes that seemed really mean That was a really when I think, John Oliver, go when I have that mean here and you just pulled it up for you, too. Barrett. It pops open and there is it Pops open and and some confetti sprays out. Although that is right on the desk of his HBO set. Although I assume that that desk is in his garage, no, right. Cause that's where he's doing it from. So anyway. Nominees were all it remote locations, many in their own homes. Ah, they were doing the awards were delivered to those locations by people in has Matt suits, and they say someone had to be on hand for every so there was a guy hanging out in Has Matt suit whether you won or not, Some people actually took a visit. Do you have the Remmy use of dew? So this guy did not win in his category. Vinny and Ah, and there's the guy who has He's he's holding the little trophy. He's got the ones walking away having Oh, my God by you didn't win. All that's so sad, right? Well in some categories, all the nominees were given a box and then the winners boxwood Spring open and a hand holding the statue would pop out some They? Obviously a lot of people had to know that they did or didn't when I had a time. Other highlights her H e r her belt it out. Nothing compares to you. During the Emmys in Memoriam segment. Here's a little Since you've been gone ever. I can see whoever dinner in a fancy restaurant. Nothing can take away these blues. Come So she's playing piano, too. Way link that up with the Facebook page that people can see that isolated. Thank you. Ah, David Letterman got kicked out of an uber before presenting an award. I'm sure that wasn't set up. Celebrities revealed what they've been doing during the pandemic. Stop me if you have any of this stuff, Bernie Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington tried to skip 2020 skip to 2021 by ring in the New Year's Belle and her here. I watch Dave Letterman thing doesn't translate actually, wasn't it was? I don't know. It's the The New Year's party just wasn't I don't know It was well, you know, New Year's party with only two people is just not Doesn't feel New Year's Eve. They're saying The emotional highlight of the night was Tyler Perry's speech while accepting the governor's award. Um and then let me see if there's anything else here that I want to make sure that you I just have you have any questions about any categories Have all the categories here, I should, say Dave Chappelle, one for sticks and stones, best pre recorded variety special. Um, yeah, I don't have any questions, but I do. Look without trying to sound like I'm patting ourselves on the back because I'm not trying to do that. I give credit to anybody who's trying to do a show right now. Absolutely. It's a pain in the butt, and you'll see why they could absolutely see why they went through with it. But I could also see if they said not this year, everyone where does it go ahead? Mail you your prize and Here's the announcement work and that and the example the best example of it is that three The five second lag between the friends and less like Jesus. What is that? That's that's live. That's national TV. That's international TV right now. Well, that's you know, that's the world. We're living in pin, right? Everything sucks. The best variety sketch. Siri's went to Saturday night live and actually have a little bit of news about that. The full cast from last year is coming back this year. Usually there are at least some changes, and there were rumors that Kay McKinnon was going to leave. And she's got a career outside of this, but season 46 is starting October 3rd. And it's coming back to Rockefeller Center studio for the first time since the shutdown. They are going toe put all kinds of safety protocols in place, but it looks like we're going to get actual I'm sure will be no audience. But it will be live apparently, and that will happen there at their normal studio. So they say. The last time there was no caste turnover between seasons was 07 when the 33rd season began with the ensemble intact, So everybody who you liked last year and everybody who didn't like last year We'll be back. That season 46 in playing Joe Biden. On Saturday night Live will be Jim Carrey. Oh, wow, really adding a big name to play one of the candidates. Ah, it looks like You know, they're saying it's gonna happen Ah for the for the debut, but they're basically safe in the 46 season, which debuts October 3rd. I I I'm guessing that he's sort of signed on to participate this whole season. There's going to be a lot of Biden this season. So maybe they said we, you know, and we'll pay you and we'll put you up and you could be alone. Fancy shmancy penthouse in New York City. So they are adding three new featured players to their cast. They'll have a limited studio audience for the coming season, but it's going to it's going to happen. And Jim Carey is I'm looking at a side by side of the two of them with a little make up, I think Kind of like, I think his teeth are going to work. I think it's going to work October. 3rd is when the new season starts, and we'll get to see how Jim Carey does plan Joe Biden's I Love So It doesn't matter to me before you a break, sir. The thought of sending a human voice across the globe was the stuff of science fiction. And and now the telephone is an indispensable part of our everyday lives but imagine being able to send more than just a voice imagine being able to send then a man. That's the promise of teleportation the next great achievement in the ongoing mission of United States space programmes heroic race to the stars. As you know the human body is a collection of organs which themselves are made up a very tiny cells and these cells are built by molecules. Would you're actually a great many extremely small atoms. Now imagine a single atom represented by a musical note. Let's say a middle. C stands for carbon in this case a collection of atoms. Four a molecule would be like a melody and that melody played in various counterpoint and harmony eventually becomes the score of an entire symphony or if you prefer a human body wow so teleporting. A man across faith is really no different than broadcasting symphony over the radio. I know you're listening for my whole life. I felt like someone was on the receiving receiving end of my experiences. Hearing my thoughts in my head I used to think it was me. But it's not as it's you who are you. Where are you talking to? I'm gonna ask both Tom and paulie on the other side of the glass, and then we go right back out to your telephone calls. One eight seven seven three three seven six six six six to one. The last time the Metropolitans had a player with over a hundred RBI is twenty ten David Wright, eight years without somebody getting to one hundred RBI is. So let me ask the two guys on the other side of the glass who were just going back and forth with Dominic Smith and Lonzo among those two has a better chance of getting one hundred RBI's before the other Alonzo or Dominic cement, it's Alonzo. Not even. Ali. I mean, listen judging on what you've seen is probably Lonzo. But if Dom Smith is up here for a month, and he has a month head start over lines zones. Probably Dominic and how about this one Alex Cora says Peter Lonzo might be the best hitter in Florida not for the Mets in Florida, obviously hyperbole, but still it shows you that this guy is a guy that people will fear something the Mets haven't had in a long time could change the culture of the line want that I want that. I want the fear, but everyone just wanting to give up on Dominic Smith right now at twenty three is absurd to me. It's absurd. Well, you could carry both. If the if the Mets, they probably will a flowery doesn't is not healthy. Correct. It's not healthy because the Mets are never healthy. Right. No, right. To the phones. Dave is calling from Komag.
