They're known for their valet diving. Well reef divers is expanding our operation in the caribbean to turks. Keiko's now they are partnering with east bay resort on south. What it dilemma. Just about every week. Get an update from michael light. Any contains various tips and tricks for better underwater photography plus they also provide some product updates but also in this email is some other interesting information last week. They introduced me to an organization called washed ashore and the articles title said using discarded plastic to save the ocean. Now washed ashore. It is a five. Oh one three or c three nonprofit arts and environmental education organization aimed at bringing to light the world's plastic pollution problem. Well how well washed ashore started by angela ponzi who is a lifelong lover of the ocean and after the death. Her husband from a brain tumor. She turned to the ocean for healing. What she also found was that the ocean needed healing as well so she turned her artistic talents into creating sculptures. That are marine-related using the plastic. That is washed up ashore and they do some spectacular sculptures. I was also amazed by the fact that they have over fourteen thousand volunteers. Working with washed ashore. These are not small sculptures. Either you can check them out at washed ashore and take a look at some of their work. You will be amazed well. I'm sure that we've all heard about the billionaires who are competing to go into space amazing stuff for someone who grew up at the start of the space race in the nineteen sixties. But there's also another race going on and that's the race to build the world's deepest pool at the top of the list. Right now is deep dive. Dubai located in nod al sheba. Which is fifteen minutes from downtown dubai. It's an amazing sixty meters deep. That's one hundred ninety seven feet and contains fourteen million liters of water or three point. Seven million gallons. The pools constant thirty degrees celsius or eighty six degrees fahrenheit. It is team doesn't abandon sunken city. Now that's pretty cool. They have an onsite hyperbaric chamber restaurant gift shop and dive shop. Put this in perspective. The other deep pools around the globe include. Why forty in italy at forty two point one five meters deep spot in poland at forty five point four meters and there's either one coming online or it's online and crom cornwall england. That's called blue vis at fifty meters deep. I wonder if there's some kinda limit on just how deep can build a pool. I'm sure we'll be amazed and finally today. Here's another message in a bottle story. this time. It comes from michigan. It seems that jennifer dour the owner and operator of nautical north family adventures of scuba snorkeling. Glass bottom boat company was cleaning a windows on her glass bottom boat in the cheboygan river when she spotted the bottle inside. The bottle was a message from ninety. Five years ago it read will the person who finds a bottle return his paper to. George morrow cheboygan michigan until where it was found. The message was dated november. Nineteen twenty six. Jennifer posted this on social media and george morrow daughter michelle who's now under seventies reached out michelle indicated that her father was probably eighteen years old when he put the message out. There sounds like the battle didn't travel very far. However now i wonder just. How many messages in bottles are out there. Well that's it for this edition of wet notes here on

Atari Is Back With a New Console

"Move over playstation xbox and then to switch it's twenty twenty one and there's a new video game console coming from familiar industry name. So does everyone listening remember atari. I'm sure a lot of you do be atari. Vce s is here. It is a brand new video game console from atari. It's available to preorder now. It costs three ninety nine. It includes the console a wireless modern controller so the just like the controllers. You'd see on a playstation or xbox and it has the classic joystick that everybody probably remembers from backing the atari twenty. Six hundred days only wireless I got a chance to check it out for a bit It's really fun. It's a really interesting idea It looks a lot like the of old but it just has a lot of different wrinkles and changes to it first off. You don't have the you know the knobs and toggles to do things like tell the atari that it's a color tv or black and white tv instead. You have usb ports in the front and the back you have hd to get high def and then you also have support for ethernet and there's also the power button on the back the controller itself. The joystick Has a lot of new wrinkles to it. There's now a second button. It actually sits on the back of the controller. So you have the standard red button that you would hit on the top the circular one and there's another one on the back side Along with that the stick itself rotates which reminded me a lot of those old atari paddle controllers where it had like a dial me twist the dial to move stuff like it worked great for games like pong and breakout There's also led lights on the controller and they rumble two. So if you're playing like asteroids. I was noticing like if i was trying to rock it away from an asteroid or do something else it would rumble a little bit. So there's those touches as

So there's those touches as well As far as the games go. I mean they're obviously going for like an arcade style vibe with everything. They have a collection of old atari games that you can choose from. I mention asteroids. They have stuff like centipede. Millipedes pong lots of stuff there. They also have a lot of newer arcade type games as well. So you're not gonna find anything like a call of duty for example or a fortnight. It's very much like it. Feels like you're back in an arcade in the eighties. But here's where the gets really interesting. You can also download other apps like netflix's or disney plus or youtube and the console also has a pc mode so you can install your own system on it and use the device almost as a mini. Pc's have games on your pc. You can technically play those on the

Which Is the Best $99 Smart Speaker for You?

"The three big players in the smart speaker space. That would be apple. That would be amazon and of that would be. Google have released three ninety nine dollar smart speakers. It's a excellent price point to add a smart speaker to your home and we decided to take a look at the top three these competitors and talk about what each of them can provide for you and maybe even try to figure out which one is the best what start by talking about the nest audio arguably the largest of the three smart speakers and i would also say about the heaviest as well. This is a very popular smart speaker. And in fact when google announced at its event the new pixel phones and this nest audio it was the nest audio took the lead on its excitement and what folks had wanted that is because it is i would say arguably a very beautiful device. This is a sort of pillow shaped smart speaker. Which is a little bit different from what you might be used to. I think that that adds to kind of the intrigue of it is not your typical Shaped smart speaker. It's not the echo of past and it is not the orb of the current kind of generation of smart speakers. The audio comes in multiple colors. This nice green color a blue color a black color a white color and a pink color and this one is it's gorgeous it has this nice fabric on the outside which for some people is a little bit of an issue because you might get dirty but the idea is that you place it somewhere and you leave it there and then you don't worry about it talking about kind of what's packed inside. I think that's an important part. You've got a seventy five millimeter wolfer and a nine thousand nine millimeter tweeter. Nine thousand nine millimeter twitter so to sound producing devices. That give you the the output that you want hear this google nest audio also features on the back a mute switch for the mike. That is a physical mute switch. So that way. You don't have any concerns. The devices listening to you or not listening to you can very easily tell and in fact it will make a it will let you know. We'll say the mike is turned on. The mike is turned off. Whenever you flip between these two it also has something that i have found particularly troubling about this device. Which are capacitive buttons for capacitive zones for volume up and volume down. There are three touch areas across the top. One kind of for doing interactions play pause and stuff like that and then volume up and volume down but that makes it so that it is almost impossible to move this device anywhere without accidentally turning up or down the volume and so it's very sensitive at the top and there's also the fact that you know you don't know where you're touching to turn the volume up or turn the volume down which can be an issue and it's also accessibility concern on the back. You have simply won the power option and with the power is proprietary adapter. So you'll definitely want to make sure that you have the adaptor that comes with it in the box and outside of that year that that's it. There are no other ports or anything like that so that is the nest audio first of all. Now let's talk about the echo fourth generation. This is amazon's new orb shaped device instead of being at the top. You have the they call it the alien say ring at the bottom. This is the kind of a bit of visual interaction that lets you know when alien say is listening and also will turn up or turn down the lights will dim and move to one side or brighton and move to the other side to let you know when the volume is up or down the most of it is fabric all of the back of it. Is this plastic area and this is kind of to let you know where you should be facing it so where the nest audio is definitely a front firing speaker. You can very clearly tell that it is meant to be aimed out. You might be confused when you've got the orb so they've made it very clear that the fabric is the acoustically invisible. Fabric is the way that you want to be. This has a one point. Six inch speaker inside and amazon says that this is a much better sounding device than those of years passed on the top. You have a volume up and volume down button. You have a mike mute button and you have a way to trigger alien say so instead of actually having to say the name of your smart assistance you can simply hit that button to communicate with alien say. This is a very nice visual way to know whenever alien say is or is not listening and so hitting that button actually turn the ring at the bottom. Read on the back again. A proprietary charging port as well as a headphone jack or rather a three point. Five millimeter line out. And i want to talk about that because it's not just a line out. It's a three point five. Millimeter line out and line in. So you can use this as a bluetooth speaker you can use it as a way to put music into it over the three point five millimeter headphone jack. And wire or you can use it to pump audio out into a better speakers that you have in your house. So that is something that is unique to the echo that you're not going to get with the nest audio or with the next one. Which is the home pod. I do like these. These actual physical controls on the top. That differ from the capacitive touch options on both the homepod mini and the audio particularly because of the fact that it is more accessible. I can actually reach out and feel those controls as opposed to not knowing exactly what i'm doing now. All of these devices support eight. Oh two all the way up to eight hundred eleven eight wifi so you can get super fast wifi on these devices regardless of which one you go with and then the last one is apple's homepod many now the first thing to note. Is that in comparison to these other ninety nine dollar smart speakers. It is certainly the smallest of the three. This is a tiny little Sort of naval orange sized smart speaker and so one might think that you know. There's not a whole lot going on in terms of audio. But i have found that it is actually quite powerful. Despite the fact that it is small it has a driver and two passive radiators inside to help provide some base in the device and then on top. You've got capacitive touch with the volume up and volume down buttons actually etched into the surface. This appear becomes the area where you can touch to control it now again. No physical touch controls so not as accessible and then when we look on the back yet again there is no way to connect anything to it. You have to use air. Play to be able to play music podcasts etc to this device or communicate with a directly and let it be the the way to communicate now. Interestingly whereas the other two feature the little plugs on the back of the device itself This device the homepod mini comes with a cord and on the other side of the cord is usb c. This is a usb c cable that you plug into the included. Twenty watt charger. Or you can use your own personal. Eighteen watt charger to provide audio to to provide power to this. So let's talk about which one makes sense for you. I'm here is kind of how i look at these. Just just talking specifically about a rather broadly about the different types of devices to kind of how help yourself kind of understand where each fits if you are an android user and you're big in the google camp. Then the nest audio is immediately the winner if you are an apple user and you're big in the irs and mac os and tv os and apple. Tv are the ipod. Os or apple. Watch os then. The homepod mini is the immediate winner. But if you don't fit into either of those camps really and you sort of use some ios devices. use some google devices. Then you might be right in the middle here with the new echo. The fourth generation echo. But things get a little bit more complicated because it is easy to choose between these two whether you homepod mini or nest audio based on what you What devices you mostly use whereas when does the recommendation make the most sense for the echo. Fourth gen well. That makes the most sense. If you're looking for a device that lets you both pipe in audio physically and pipe out audio physically. So if you want a way to make your beautiful sounding smarts or rather your beautiful sounding speakers in your home Have smarts then. The echo is the way to go because you can actually connect it. Then you get alien and all the functions that that provides but you get to hear it on your incredible sound system

Consumer questions: "Which iPhone should I get?"

"I can't imagine any bigger question than hey jeff. Which iphone should i get and the good news is we have reached a mural here from ktla and we're gonna compare notes here because he's got that question a lot to have you not rich. I get it all the time. And i get lot of a lot of new new interest in switchers as well from samsung so people are are starting starting to realize that Their friends have the iphone and they want the same thing so there were seven new. I seven iphones. Being sold this year and four of them are new. The iphone twelve the iphone. Twelve mini the iphone. Twelve pro and the iphone twelve pro. Max what do you tell people which of the iphones to get. Well i think for the average person who wants the newest latest greatest definitely the iphone twelve. So that is a good mix of camera. It's a good mix of well. I'd say battery battery. Life is definitely taken a hit in this latest model. But it's a good screen size. It's got the latest processor inside. it's got You know pretty much everything you need. And if someone wants and i asked him i say to people you know like what are you. Use your phone for because if you're just texting and looking at instagram you don't need the best go with an older model iphone you know but if they say anything about the camera pictures are very important to me. I then say well. Are you kind of like more pro photography like you taking a lot of pictures or you like a budding instagram or or social media person. And if they say no if they say yes. I say you gotta go with the pro and i have not recommended the pro max to anyone. I think that a lot of people will purchase that on their own if they feel like they need the biggest absolute best screen out there and the best camera but i don't actively really recommend that phone too a lot of people okay. We'll get to that one in a second. What people say to me is which phone should i get. Oh and by the way. I really don't do anything i just make. Phone calls texts. Take an occasional photo. That's what they tell you. So i said get the sec. Which is the older models. Small compact four inch three ninety nine is the entry level iphone and they go and buy it and they complain that it's too small so it's a little small for today's standards. But i think when people complain about having no fingerprint sensor. That's the one i recommend. I said well. If you still want fingerprint you can get the iphone. Se which is nice. It doesn't have the best camera. It's fine doesn't have the biggest display. It's fine does have the fastest processor because now there's one but a further price three ninety nine on locked. That's a very good value when it comes to iphones or there's also getting an iphone hand-me-down from a friend or family member. I mean that's the beauty of iphones is that you can purchase these on ebay or a third party site and get a refurbished model. That's pretty cheap. And there's someone out there selling. Even i always say turn to a friend or family member i because they might be upgrading instead of having them give it to Give it back to apple or sprint. Or t mobile. Whatever for half the price give it to you and you know you can buy for that price.

Apple's Black Friday sale: not much

"If you had a sale and nothing was on sale. Well that's the apple four-day black friday sale makes me laugh to giving some gift cards but full price on all the products. I need to point them out to you if you like gift cards. Maybe it's not too bad but the headline gets me iphone. Get a fifty dollar apple gift card. Well only for models. That are not the newest the s e you can get a fifty dollar gift card still pay the full price three ninety nine. The iphone eleven five ninety nine. That's a phone from twenty nineteen or the iphone. Ten are the the phone from twenty eighteen. You get fifty dollars gift cards. Nothing no deal no sale price on the twelve series from this year for the apple. Watch you only get a twenty five dollar gift card. Not for the latest watch but for the series three which is several years old. The latest edition is the series. Six you can still buy the old watch for one nine and get twenty five dollars off the airpods pro. Please don't fall for this one. Twenty five dollar gift card if you buy the airpods pro for two forty nine the same thing that you could buy at walmart for their black friday sale for one sixty nine. The ipad a little bit more generous one hundred dollar gift card ipad pro seven ninety nine ipad mini three ninety nine no gift card for the entry level ipad which starts at three twenty nine. The mac no gift cards for the new heavily hyped. M one editions of the mac air or the macbook pro. You get one hundred and fifty dollar gift card for the older. I mac the twenty one inch version that sells for eleven hundred dollars or a hundred and fifty dollar gift card for the sixteen inch macbook pro which sells for twenty four hundred dollars apple. Tv set top box. Don't know if you guys have one of those i do. I really love it But it's pricey. It's i mean it's so much more expensive than a roku or amazon streaming stick one seventy nine and one forty nine and fifty dollars gift card for that or a hundred dollar gift card on the old homepods speaker from twenty eighteen which sells for two ninety nine so you can get basically hundred dollars off on that but the model they're selling this year is the homepods many for ninety nine dollars if i were you. I'd buy two of those skip the gift card because two speakers in stereo are always better than one. That's my take on the apple. Black friday sale apple only discounts once a year. But this year. The discounts aren't that hefty are they.

Preview: new Microsoft and Sony video game consoles

"Com slash talking. One of the most eagerly anticipated tech items of the year. Are those new video game. Console from sony and microsoft are brett. Molina has been playing games all week ignoring his normal work. Brett tell everybody about the microsoft xbox and the playstation five. let's start the xbox instead launched on tuesday It's interesting because it upgrading to the xbox series x or the series kind of feels like you're upgrading a smartphone Because unlike other of consoles where you're kind of almost start over with brand new games and everything else A lot of almost everything from your last console comes with you so you bring a lot of your old games. You bring a lot of apps you're gonna bring A lot of the other settings of things that that you liked about the last one and it all carries with the next one Your older games will look a little bit better. They're going to load a lot faster. Which is a huge perk of of new xbox playstation So it it really is interesting to see how a lot of your older stuff. Who's over playstation. Five does a lot of that too Playstation five the xbox five sells for how much the xbox the there's the series x which is digital only in its to ninety nine ninety nine and the big difference there is. It doesn't have a blu ray disc drive a so all the games anything he used on. There's going to be digital or you can get the xbox series x says a faster processor and a blu ray disc drive and that goes for four ninety nine nine hundred accepted it sold out and you can't buy it yet. Good luck okay. And the playstation five is the same price playstation five saint concept they have a digital version. That has no blu ray for three ninety nine ninety nine and then they have the standard one for four ninety nine ninety nine preview the playstation then. I'll ask you some questions about it. So it has a lot of the same stuff that the xbox does as far as everything lows lot faster most of your older games from the playstation four are available the biggest difference. I think one of the game changers of the playstation is it's controller called dual sense. It looks just like a regular video game controller. It has these really cool vibration Feature were basically you feel the game. It's happening you might be walking on snow and the controller mimics what it feels like to step in snow with each step You might be skating on ice. Same effect preach any most of the effects that happen in the game. You're feeling in the controller. So it gives. I think another layer of immersion that we haven't really seen a bit. We haven't really seen a lot of video games okay. playstation is also sold out. Apparently even the retailers will be advertising it and telling people to go to their website. So what do you tell those moms and dads out there who want to buy one of these games. Their kids consoles should say yeah well for sony. They announced that they are going to only allow you to buy it online. So really the best thing to do is keep track of like the big retailers that sell playstation on like a target or best buy amazon and just keep tabs on when they get new inventory again in the same thing with xbox the big difference with xbox is they have they are allowing some sales at physical store so there is a chance if you go to a store. You might find one really. It's about staying on top of Online and checking the different apps and different stores and just seeing what's available A lot of those preorder sold really fast. The second became available so it is going to be challenging to find one this holiday if you haven't preordered yak and if somebody was to say to you hey brett. Which one should i get xbox or playstation how would you answer. Oh my gosh i'm leaning playstation because i really liked what they've done with the controller there. I think there is a lot of possibility as far as what you can do to feel the experience

The Cider-Sipping, Mitten-Wearing Guide To 2020 Holiday Movies

"Guys it's my d-. I work with amy on the bobby bones show. I'm a head writer and producer over there and also have a podcast in my own called movie. Mike's movie podcast or all. I do is talk about movies. I explore movie topics. i do. Movie reviews and sometimes bring on actors and directors to talk about their movies. So what i wanted to bring to. This episode is my holiday watching movie guide so i have five different categories with five different movies. You can add to your watching playlists. I know it's only november. But i feel like we've pretty much gone straight into christmas holiday mode right now so these are some great movies to go ahead and put on your list in the first category. Let's go with the favorite old school classic. And i'm to have to give it to the original. Og christmas movie. A christmas story from nineteen eighty-three. It's a movie. Probably all grew up watching and at this point we can kind of just have it on in the background and it just gives us that christmas feeling. They're just so many classic moments in classic quotes from this. A christmas story also had the eighty nine percent rating on rotten tomatoes. It's not available to stream anywhere right now but if you want to rent it. It's on amazon for three ninety nine. And then if you have cable subscription service you can usually catch it on pbs or stream. It their on demand. And i feel like when it comes to having a classic. You can't go wrong with the christmas story. Only i didn't say fudge. I said the word the big one. The queen mother of dirty words dash dash dash next up. I had the category of the best modern classics. So i feel like this is a movie been around long enough but it's still relatively new and it's a movie now. That actually came out seventeen years ago. So i feel like it's so far stood the test of time and i don't really seeing any point to where this movie will not be a part of my christmas and if you haven't seen it at this point well i don't know what you're waiting for. I don't know where you've been in the movie. I'm talking about is l. It has eighty four percent rating on rotten tomatoes. It's currently not available to watch anywhere for free but you can read it on amazon for three ninety nine and if you happen to have a stars direct tv subscription you can watch it there. And the thing. I love about this movie that everybody i talked you kind of has their own favourite part of the movie. My favorite part is when buddy the elvis. I leaving to go find his dad and he's saying goodbye to everybody to hope you find your dad. Thanks in our wall. All right the next category is the unconventional christmas movie. I think every year people had a debate on what is an isn't a christmas movie. Several different movies kind of fit into this category. But one i feel that kinda gets left out in the discussion. Every year is harry potter. And the sorcerer's stone now all throughout the harry potter series. I feel like christmas is a pretty big part of it. And not only that. But i feel like christmas scenes. In harry potter are just some of the most magnificently done christmas. Any christmas movie. And i don't know why they get left out of that conversation. The bad thing about the harry potter movies is they are pretty much taken off of any kind of streaming service and you can really only rent them on amazon for three ninety nine but the first one does have eighty one percent rating on rotten tomatoes. If you haven't seen it yet. And i know overall christmas is pretty small. Part of the entire franchise. But harry potter at one point does get the visibility cloak as a christmas gift and therefore i'm dubbing get a christmas movie christmas happy christmas next category. I wanna do favorite rated r. movies. So this is christmas louise for adults so kids. If you're listening you can't watch these movies and parents. I feel like these were made for. Maybe some of us. Who don't necessarily enjoy christmas movies. And just want something to make you laugh. That just has a little bit of christmas in it. Because i know sometimes christmas movies get a little bit cheesy and my all time. Favorite rated r. christmas movie is bad. Santa it literally makes me laugh out loud. And i know it's incredibly rajini incredibly inappropriate. But i love billy bob thornton and even in the crudeness and the rudeness of this movie i do feel like it has a lot of heart and if he can get through the dirty jokes and the bad language you do find a pretty nice christmas story here and bad. Santa has a seventy eight percent rating on rotten tomatoes. And as of right now you would have to pay to ninety nine to streaming on amazon. But i know once it gets closer to christmas. It has popped up on netflix. Maybe check for it. There later was gonna make some sandwiches. I could make you one before you leave. Okay maybe some sandwiches harshest. You want the usual amount. Just whatever you think. Okay right in the last category. I want to get to is a favourite new christmas movie. And i'm gonna go with the holiday. Would you can watch now on net flicks and a little bit of a warning. It is kind of raunchy and crude. Just like the bad santa movie but if you're into movies like bridesmaids or the hangover i feel like it's kind of in that category so it's emma roberts and luke bracy who is australia and he's kind of like the kmart version of chris hemsworth and they come up with this plan to be each other's dates for only the holidays. So let's be only time they ever get together so it starts at christmas goes through all the holidays in the united states and then ends up back at christmas and if you guessed at home that they ended up developing feelings for each other throughout this plane to be each other's holiday. Will you guessed correctly but again. That doesn't spoil. The movie is basically in the trailer. And it's basically what every kind of cheesy romantic comedy. Christmas movie plot is about. But i think overall this movie just makes you kind of turn your brain off and enjoy a nice holiday movie. And isn't that what we all need right now. All right. that's your holiday movie guide if you enjoyed that segment and want to hear more about movies to check out my podcast movie. Mike's movie podcast. Just search movie mike. TicWatch Pro 3 GPS Specifications And Features

"Bought stuff from them before as well. Now, speaking to buying stuff. Justin a couple ago on the show was involved in a kickstarter program for the tick watch and you know it was kind of interesting to hear how you were. You were buying into this this technology and when they finally got to production, you get one and you got one we're pretty happy with it. Yeah. Yeah. So the tick watches a, it's a smart watch. It's it's it's GonNa take it was designed to really take on the Apple Watch. I think actually at the time they did it I don't think he even the Apple Watch. No, it was. It was out there. But yeah. So the first take watch came out it was okay. It was it was it did what it did, but it was slow. It was clunky was big. Then they came out with the tick watch to came out tick watch pro and the tick watch pro to, and so they've been successful as a company. They're still releasing new products and they're not doing kickstarter anymore they're full-fledged company now. They just recently announced the new tick watch pro three. GPS. When I heard about this, this would be my third watch that I purchased from them because I did purchase the tick watch to again it was a little bit clunky. But I did decide to go ahead and purchase the tick watch pro three GPS model. This one by far is going to be the best watch they've ever released because I've. I've already read the reviews on it from people that have gotten advanced models. This is the first watch on the market regardless of who makes it it's the first smartwatch on the market to use the new qualcomm snapdragon wear forty, one, hundred processor. This thing is lightning fast. It also has a seventy two hour active battery or a two week. To two week standby battery on the LCD screen. So you've got a great extended battery because mine right now, I can barely get twenty four hours out of it and I've got to charge it. You also have a lot more. Health and fitness tracking features. They do also come with some things like take calm or. I should say so if you're feeling stressed, you just hit the tick Zenit helps you calm down. Eve also. got like tick, tick a tick oxygen or something like that. Basically, it tells you your oxygen level fitness tracking things like that does run where a West however, they've taken their the WAIROA estimated their own. You can still run where OS APPS on it. So if I want to get Google messages but I want to get out look if I want to other things like that I can put that on my watch, but I also can use the tick watch features. And also it is faster like I said, and it's also sleeker. It's smaller it's thinner and it's more lightweight. So this goes for two ninety nine. And I did get it with a discount if you go to mob Voi-, Dot Com M., O. B.. Dot Com voi- dot Com. That's the maker of the tick watch. You can go there. You can get it if you're new user like if you never bought a Dick locher before fifteen percent off and also if you use the add onto chrome called honey now we've talked about honey in the past right honey is a an add on that tries all these extra coupon codes. If you use honey, you can also get an extra fifteen dollars off. So out the DOOR A. To nine thousand, nine watch after shipping and everything came to to fifty nine for me. That's not bad. Now, what if you're an apple user? Can you still tie this into your operating system and no actually you can't it's either going to be. You have to have an apple watch with an apple product you're going to have to have an android phone with watch I mean just one of the other, just the same as you can't have an apple watch paired with an android. But. I want to mention just a couple of numbers real quick hundred and fifty percent GP increase since the last model eighty-five CPU, and memory eighty-five percent CPU and memory increase and a twenty five percent power save over the previous model. So if you're into smart watches and you don't necessarily want to get the Samsung Galaxy, watch which I think is going for three ninety nine. Checkout Tick Watch T. I see watch and you can get a mob Voi- dot Com I don't think I'm pronouncing that right but it's.

Xbox Series & PS5 Pricing

"So it's pricing that dropped for both the xbox series x the xbox series S, and the both playstation five consoles the digital, only one and the one with the disk drive. So all of the pricing has now dropped for next Gen consoles and and so this article was from N. Gadget they say xbox series is incredible value for next Gen gaming This one from the verge ps five will launch on November twelfth for four ninety nine. We have a few articles here all talking about William Can Let me just let me give our listeners a quick rundown. The to xbox consoles. The series S is going to sell for two ninety nine and they're higher end more powerful series x is going to sell for four nine. Okay. On the playstation side, their high end, which is going toe to toe with the series x but has a disk drive and everything is also four, ninety nine and they're discus version is three, ninety nine. So they don't have anything competitive at the to ninety nine level, but arguably I think it's the same hardware as the four, ninety nine minus the described.

Thanks to the Pandemic, Apple’s Big Event Was Just … an Event

"Been covering these sorts of apple events in product reveals for a while now yes. Seventy five years. Have the one compare it was definitely very different though in June we had apples developer's conference and it was pretty similar to that. So in the sense of we're getting used to this, but it's definitely different than me flying out to Cupertino waiting in line to get into a big amphitheater in a room packed full of. Apple Employees, other press, and hearing a lot of excitement about new products. And on the products, let's start with that side of things. What are your biggest takeaways from what was announced and what star listeners be thinking about when they go to buy their next of ice I think the biggest thing I want everyone to remember when they go to buy an apple device is that getting the most expensive apple device doesn't necessarily anymore mean it's the best one to get. Now sure there are going to be features that they're going to have in these higher end products like we saw yesterday with the Apple Watch series six announcement. That is a three, hundred, ninety, nine dollars watch. But we also got an Apple Watch se that starts at two hundred, seventy nine dollars and has a lot of the features you would probably want seeing that also on the IPAD so you can get a three hundred twenty, nine dollar really good ipad. You get an IPAD air new IPAD air that's five, hundred, ninety, nine dollars or you can go up to the eight hundred dollar ipad pro but that IPAD air is actually a really good value and has a lot of the same things as that pro. and. We also heard a lot about services. Apple has really been leaning into this part of its business lately. Did we get any news there? We heard a lot about services yesterday and I think it was really interesting how apple threaded that throughout the hardware announcements specifically fitness plus announcement, and this was an announcement of a new on demand video workout service think about your Peleton's about your other sort of video workout videos but this comes. With an Apple Watch or you have to pay extra ten dollars a month to get this with your Apple Watch and this really sort of emphasizes if you've got this wash if you've got this hardware, then you can also get the service and for apple that means you're going to have recurring revenue. You're going to have this customer who didn't only pay for the hardware, but is now gonNA pay a monthly service fee for this new service. So some changes there another big change normally a new iphone would be the headliner of this event that's been pushed because of coronavirus related supply chain issues. But given everything we saw yesterday do you have any predictions about what new features we might see when that eventually is announced? There is no mention of the iphone which. Actually shocking to me I figured Oh they're going to at least tease it. This is the September event. They're going to remind people. We know we usually gather for the IPHONE but coming soon. But there was none of that. I would say the biggest hint we got about what's coming with the IPHONE is that the Apple Watch will no longer ship in its box a USB adapter the one that you plug into the wall that no longer is GonNa be shipped. In. The box and apple says, that's for environmental reasons that we all have these already why do we need more of these ending up in the landfill? I think apple will do the same exact thing with the iphone coming next month will hold you to that taking a step back here. You know this event is typically meant to really hype up the products that apple announces with no iphone and you mentioned sort of a less flashy event than we're used to. Are we expecting to see an impact on apple's bottom line I would say this is one of the most boring apple events in recent history that said I actually think it could end up being one of the most successful in terms of products announced you had the lower end ipad refresh the three, hundred, twenty, nine dollars Ipad, which we know as a top seller for apple, and now you also have these new apple watches that are. Not as expensive as the usual three, ninety, nine version but one that's more affordable has a lot of health features and you have also this this backdrop of the pandemic and people wanting to spend less and focus on health and I think that the Apple Watch I it's it's been sort of less of a niche product, but it's not spread over to everyone and I. Think this year we're going to see it really broaden its horizons. And here with the announcement of not only the different pricing tiers and having three different models out. But also the family sharing this is a feature they announced where you can actually give the watch to your kid even if they don't have an iphone and you can then set it up and control it and you can also use it to track your kid if they're at school, I think that is really showing how big of A. Market Apple thinks the watch can get into. So they've had things like fall detection for people who are older. They now have this feature for those who are younger. So I really think this is the beginning of seeing the the watch a lot bigger than we had thought

Apple iPad, Watch and Home bundle: Breaking down all the announcements

"Apple held its big September event today, but there was no iphone. So was the IPAD Apple Watch any new bundle enough? I wrote a Chang charged. With me to break everything down is senior editor at large and apple expert. Sure. I high in a it's been a afternoon for there's been a going on. Let's let's break it all down I. Guess by sequence of when they announce their their various products is talking about the apple. I have to remember. Okay. Yeah. It was secrets quartz. Which? In apple years like three years. Let's let's talk about Apple. Watch was the first off the bad. It was the Apple Watch series six and Apple Watch S C you break down these products rest yeah. It's interesting. So the Apple Watch is very clearly increasingly becoming a health device and to people who've been watching this is not a surprise. Apple found a lot of success turning it into a sport device. That started with the second generation Apple Watch when they made swim proof as what they called it not really waterproof pet swim proof and ever since then they've really been adding a lot more features for health and fitness will now they're adding even another feature for health, which is that going to measure your blood oxygen levels and this is going to do it in. Two ways one will be to do it. If you just want to do it now you push a button and it'll measure over fifteen seconds and uses all sorts of infrared lights in some magic by being you get a number and then it'll also do it in intervals just kind of behind the scenes. So just like with the heart center, if suddenly some something seems completely. Off The watch tap heuristic and say, Hey, you might want to look into this, which is what has saved a lot of people's lives. Yeah. Idea civilized was a big deal that that Promo video they ran to for really unveiling these products just was laid it on pretty heavy about the fact that this is this can save your life. Now I must have been Apple Watch. The reality is that this type of technology is very impactful right I mean it's it's kind of stuff like it's it's really sappy to talk about like how disability functions inside of the iphone arena video game console change people's but they do right there. There are entire people who who were stuck indoors not able to do anything or they were blind and they weren't able to live a normal life and they're able to do so much more now because of the technology that's come from why from. Different phones and all sorts of other stuff. So it's not surprising apples laying this on thick because on some level they they've actually saved lives. They deserve to be able to say that, but I think it's going to be interesting to see whether people buy into this idea over. All right. It's still a nerdy thing. It's still an expensive thing and that's that's a hard sell to people who haven't already bought it read just to be clear like the. Blood oxygen like what is it? What does it actually do be able to detect and monitor that like what is that allowing Apple Watch to do so in a lot of ways, this falls under everything else that we've always heard about various health functions and it was actually in the t at the ending card on their announcements. If you go watch the video, you go to the very end it says this is not meant for medical purposes, right? So. This is really just kind to help you quantify your body and your life, and this is one of the problems we've all had with fitbit and everything else. It's cool to get this data and sometimes it's helpful. But reality is once I've gotten him for like six months. One more do I need right and you know my wife doesn't care about any of the data that she She hasn't even tracker steps anymore. She just cares about whether she closes the rings. That's it right. So it's it's actually a lot of this data is is kind of you don't it's helping with all that right in kind of helping you set goals and get there. But a lot of the state is unnecessary. Apple's doing it because they say look it's going to help us with the. Overall kind telling you what your health is and maybe will maybe it won't I don't know. But we'll see we'll say how how much does this they start for? Yes. So that's the other thing is that this device is going to be three ninety nine to start, which is not cheap and you know, and the other thing also is that they have this cheaper phone watch which. is to Sunday nine starts called the Apple Watch S E and I guess for special edition we never know what these letters mean and one of the things about this thing is that basically a repackaged Apple Watch series three, right so it has the fall detection, which is something that the introduced a while back in a lot of people were really you know they were thinking hey. Elderly people you know they have this I fallen and I can't get up little buttons. Now, they can do their watch. So they're adding some of these functions that they do see a lot of. People. Kind of getting interested in into this device two, hundred, seventy, nine dollars in Stephanie Cheaper. We'll see whether people want it, but it says something yeah. That's two hundred ninety nine seems a little too expensive considering the the series three is still around one hundred and fifty dollars a year. It's not a huge difference between the two, seventy nine and the three, ninety nine. Series six that like I don't know there's that struck me as little expensive for those quote unquote affordable model. I mean think about Black Friday, right one of the things that I have always of found interesting about apple having covered it. Now for more than a decade, is that in a long time ago it apples pears didn't move like there was never a sale on their phones there was never a sale on their. Computers it was very rare and it was only a little bit. But now we're starting to see a sales on them when they come out right and we're seeing prices dropped dramatically during holiday sales. So to seventy nine to start yeah, that does feel a little heart but I wouldn't be surprised to see that creep down to two hundred by the end of this year the other the other big lot unveiled was two new. ipads. So let's let's go into the IPAD at the higher end version what what is new about this new air? Yeah. It takes a lot of the feeling of the pack pro. So it actually has a this more square look to it, which if you care Kinda Cool Stephanie Different and it also has a bigger screen that is actually looks a lot like the IPAD pro so you may remember the IPAD pro they got. Rid of the touch ID, right that button that allows you to use your fingerprint. So this one does not have the face unlock like the IPAD pro instead touch ideas now in the button on the side that you do the power button, that's kind of course. So they that's how they were able to lower the prices from the IPAD pro. It still has a very powerful chip they say it's much more powerful than chromebooks. UPS and all that, and we'll see you know everyone has to do their tests, but it's ships in October for five hundred, ninety, nine dollars again, not cheap and way more expensive than the cheapest chromebooks out there. So we'll see whether people are interested. Yeah. I'll say that pay particular attention that touch ID because it's it is abundant on the top of the screen, not screen top of the device itself it's basically the power bun. I would be intrigued to see if they stick that into the iphone twelve, it would be really smart because right now face ideas essentially useless when you're wearing a mask. So having some sort of touch ID center and I don't think they've got the under glass fingerprint sensor thing down pat yet this would be a good a good compromise.

Apple debuts discount watch, but no new iPhones ... yet

"Get ready for some new apple products. The tech giant will unveil new versions of some old products on Tuesday and potentially show off some new ones do, but it's going to be the first apple product reveal without its usual audience. Instead, the event will feature prerecorded demos spread out over a couple of hours. There will be new IPADS and Apple Watch additions and possibly air pod over the ear headphones plus Apple's take on a Bluetooth key finder, but there won't be any new. IPHONES. They'll be unveiled next month Jefferson Graham from USA Today's talking tech podcast as more. Let's start with the IPAD basically a higher end better looking newer IPAD air. This is the product that sells for five hundred dollars as opposed to the three hundred and twenty nine dollars entry level or the eight hundred dollar ipad pro analysts expect an edge to edge display minus a home button and something. I'm pretty excited about touch ID, which is where you press the home button instead of using face id but touch ID will be on one of the buttons on the side of the unit I hate face I It never works for me, and of course, anybody with the mask knows it doesn't work for them either. So I think this is pretty cool the Apple Watch series six it's expected to be more about software than hardware with a more powerful processing chip it's expected to be able to detect blood oxygen levels and watch users could get an improved electrocardiogram feature to check heart rate. No that the roster currently is three, ninety nine for the series five and one, ninety, nine for this series three. So I think series three is going to be replaced with a lower end watch and can't wait to see what series six all about otherwise analysts think. We might see some new over the ear headphones Cold Air POD studio along with the long rumored apple tags, which again is apple's clone of the tile. Bluetooth key tractor tile was. Really popular about two years ago and sort of lost its Mojo. So it'll be interesting to see what happens

What were expecting in the PS5 showcase

"So Sony Holding this PS five showcase on Wednesday a week after Microsoft held its own xbox event. So Oscar, what are you expecting? Are we finally going to get a price that is de definite? Expectation with this show, there is obviously the big questions. When's it coming out and the price? So yeah. Those are the two. Obviously there's GonNa be some info about the launch games but yes, with this presentation, this is going reveal all it's gonna lay everything down and skin say here's what it is and get ready. So what are you expecting pricewise? Right now, the expectation is the. to a, there's a digital version of the PS five with no OPCO drive and the sort of standard version with the optical drives so. For the standard version, which should have all the bills whistle. So to speak that were pretty much were all expecting a five hundred dollar price points for the digital version were looking more like four hundred the really the only difference between the two the optical drives so far that we know unless soda comes out and make some other changes. But consider there's not much difference. We don't expect with go below the three ninety, nine 'cause w really big cut. into the into some profits, got it, and so let's let's stack this up against Microsoft which announced its own pricing last week. What are the xbox series X. and series s cost? Well, that was a big surprise last week it was a it was leaked initially than my Marquesa finally confirmed that yes, there is GonNa be to xboxes the S previously codename De la Carte is to ninety nine. That was the big reveal edit is a very big reveal. The KONTOS haven't been to ninety nine in quite a few generations and for Gen Gaming. It's Really a low price and every the ideal the strategy behind it is what we're thinking. Yourself said, Hey, not going to undercut us again like they did with the playstation forward. So we're just GONNA go right in with this three hundred dollar council. It's going to have next Gen graphics but does have an optical drive. has half the hard drive space and a can't perform get render as good. A graphics as the standard version would just five hundred dollars. So that is what? Microsoft with the big enough to saying, Hey, we got you covered if you need save money or if you want all the bells and whistles, you go for the five hundred dollars and they're both coming out November. Right and that that money equation I mean it's more important ever right now, right we were in the middle pandemic when the middle of a recession with millions of people are jobs money is tight. All around is a lot of uncertainty. So I get I appreciate that Microsoft would factor that into the equation with the pricing that said You know there, there are some drawbacks of the series s I'm curious with with some of those pricing in place and I know we don't yet have Sony yet confirmed but. The equation for you on which console you should buy or if you should buy any of these consoles this holiday season. It always comes down to the Games. That's really what is important. But What's interesting is Marcus Like I said in the previous previous podcast. They are shooting to be this all encompassing services service package so They want to the big. You're GONNA push when starts September twenty seconds. So the big thing they're gonNA push is this xbox all access, which is for the s twenty, five dollars a month you get the ultimate game pass. which includes Xbox live in game pass and the you get that and the series s for twenty five dollars a month for two years, which is a pretty crazy deal because. The Game Password. That launches. Officially. A It's it's tech lean. Beta will let me it's kind of the. kind of kind of fish lead launched not really kinda sort of we up doing it but with game pastors but hundred hundred, fifty games. So right at the box, if you do this process with the Xbox L. Access, you're GONNA get the game you're going to get you're GonNa get all these Games get the console twenty five dollars a month. And that's it. So and then if you WANNA go to step up that's that's thirty five dollars a month. So it's not a big deal.

Apple's September Event: No Crowds and Likely No iPhone

"The show for more. Everyone Jefferson Graham, talking tech, and you know were here in the middle of September and you know what that means. It's time for apple to have event to wow us with new products except this year. The event is not going to feature the IPHONE. The event is going to feature updates on IPADS and Apple Watch editions possibly era pod over the year a headphone an apples take on the tile bluetooth key finder I don't think it's going to have the same sort of pizzazz without the iphone but you know what we're GonNA end up with is to apple events one in. Mid September another in October, which will preview the new iphone which has been delayed due the the pandemic. Let me tell you what analysts expect to see start. Let's start with the IPAD basically a higher end better looking newer IPAD. This is the product that sells for five hundred dollars as opposed to the three hundred, twenty, nine dollars entry level, the eight hundred dollar ipad pro. ANA analysts expect an edge to edge display minus a home button and something that I'm pretty excited about touch ID with where you press the home button instead of using face id but touch ID will be on one of the buttons on the side of the unit I hate face id it never works for me, and of course, anybody with the mask no, it doesn't work for them either so I think this is pretty cool. Unpacking everything Samsung! (with TK Bay)

"Originally this week we were going to have high may on. As. He tweeted like his grandfather tested positive. So best wishes to him and his family he says that he's feeling okay. When you did get tested, he has he doesn't have the result yet, but he to get tested so that everyone is okay there But yeah, like just when when, when I was supposed to schedule The podcast with him this week to talk about unpacked, which is what this entire episode is about Yeah. He was dislike I'm actually getting tested right now and I was like Oh snap. Okay. So then when you and I went to hang out I, realized that you a you you, you made the right move because I don't have the Galaxy Watch. It was pure luck I. I didn't realize that people weren't getting them right away. Some people did but you know like Fisher I think got one but a fisherman Fedex stuff. Yeah. Yeah. A few people did and like you, you just realize that best buy already had it and then what I love is we're going to talk about this stuff a little later we're still in the check in. But when you never hanging out and you were showing me the watch was just like Oh, snap like how'd you get this and you're like best buy and then I was like a part of me was like I I'm pretty sure I'm GonNa, get a review unit still like whether it's jv pocket now but I have to wait for it and everyone else is doing their content on it. But. What I love those I was like how much is it and you're like I remember you said it quietly. Inexpensive it's it's more expensive than the Pixel for a that's how bad it is said. So quietly that I thought, you said one forty nine. Oh No. No no no. I my version is forced four, thirty, four, twenty, nine, ninety, nine, four, twenty, nine. Starts at three, ninety, nine for the forty one millimeter bt goes all the way to four eighty for the LT forty five I don't even want mobile connectivity on my. So here's a I have a gear frontier. That is, is Lt Model, I, bought it many many years ago so I haven't line that's on my account with T. Mobile. It's free was a promo that they did whereas the watch was free and I don't pay for it. So of had the line for ages I, don't use the gear is three frontier. If I'm going to pick up the watch which I actually Kinda liked this one so I would rather keep that. So replace the L. T. E. S. frontier with the watch three front What's it called forty-five it's a good design it's new it's updated has it's a lot faster and and of course, it's the What I like about it is de Notification Call Push. So my calls and my notifications pushed from my phone if I step away from it. And I can respond as if I'm responding for my phone on the watch. Okay. I'll tell you there's a little bit of a yeah. There's a good factor of it at obviously you have to pay for it data's crap. So but it's not like you're gonNA. Download anything, it. It's functional and I feel like that's where the function is for connectivity and remote connectivity cheers device. So we're going to get more into like other stuff with the watcher later, but there are a couple of other things I wanted to sort of throw into the check in. Picture froze for a few seconds. I'm sure it did. It happens. which is funny because like you would think that people like us who do this kind of stuff for a living our Internet connections would be great and whatnot. But here's the thing we have houses full of devices that are all on the same network and it's Absolutely I I have literally three Wi fi router sitting close each other one on a two point four, one on five one, six wile. That's nice. It is just Mesh Network in here. She was Google in my house. That's all we have actually what for this one system we're doing pretty well. No no it as long as you know your neighbors also, but I think in my area there's a lot. When I turn on Bluetooth or Wifi is lot networks. So everybody and their mom is on, it's a it's OK-.

Word nerds have been using the a scrabble APP for many years now it's a great way to fill the time and challenge your mind as you deal with the stress of corona virus and zoom calls. My Mom who's eighty five years old with an incredible mind for words plays every day. Unfortunately despite America's urgent need for things to pass the time right now, the folks Hasbro decided to kill ea scrabble. For most people. It stopped working on June sixth. Almost five hundred people have commented on my blog post about the shutdown and boyer they, upset. In the place of EA scrabble, you can try the new APP scrabble go created by scope. If, you can imagine they've game fide scrabble. scrabble go includes throbbing graphics in Garish Orange, Yellow and purple. It constantly bugs you to get your facebook friends to play. You could earn chestful of virtual prizes and customize your scrabble tiles. It includes duels, tournaments and timed contests that everyday scrabble players would have no interest in. After ten you get to watch pure. Add for other silly games more suitable for children. I did my best to give scrabble go a fair chance, but even if you can get past the distracting graphics lighting up like a Vegas Casino, there are problems. I cost four dollars ninety nine cents a month to get rid of the ADS and get features that used to be free like seeing the best move that you missed. Sixty dollars a year is pretty steep. Second. If you like to play the machine, you'll be disappointed. You Play Zoe an animated Avatar with an unnaturally large head. WHO's a pretty lame scrabble player? Many players, soliciting you to play, are actually bites. WHO also tend to be terrible? Third the game includes boosts which allow people to cheat. Once you accumulate enough gems. You can swap out your tiles anytime when any move which makes it way too easy. The only escape is a deeply buried classic mode. Finally. Many women players tell me that men are hitting on them using scrabble. Go as a dating site. My evaluation despite the name scrabble go isn't even good enough to use when sitting in the bathroom. Don't despair though there are alternatives. If you like to play the computer, the best choice is word master pro. This elegant APP created by developer and Brazil has a computer that plays at lightning speed, and can be set to a high challenge level, and to avoid strange words. You'd never spot outside a scrabble dictionary. It's only three ninety nine a one time purchase. There are scrabble variants like Lexus and works with friends, but classic scrabble players will object since they don't duplicate the traditional scrabble layout. If you want a timed game, go to I. S C Dot Aro, the Internet scrabble club. It's a rush, but not everyone loves the stress of a countdown timer.

Apple Launches New iPhone SE

"We weren't sure they were going to do it but they did on. Wednesday apple launched. Its latest IPHONE. Model the IPHONE S. E. by a press release much less glamorous than the flashy showcases. We've gotten used to and so is the phone the S. E. Marks Shift in Apple Strategy and our apple report trickle joins us to explain trip. Thanks for being here. They drive me all right. So tell me about the new quote unquote new features of the iphone as e you when you think about apple's product development timeline. They started these things so long ago before they're released but this is kind of a case of don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good if you think about it. This is a phone. That's that looks a lot like older phones that that has some of the technologies. We're familiar with with their older phones. For example fingerprint sensors and and not face ide- but features a low price of three ninety nine and right now. A lot of people are losing their jobs. Lower Price. Hyphen may be a good move for the company. Yeah I mean three ninety nine. It's still a lot of money like let's be clear but it's still a lot less than recent models. This isn't a pandemic move. You're saying this was already part of a longterm strategy. These phones are usually more than a year in development so the timing just happens to be coincidentally beneficial in the sense that we're in the middle of a recession and now apple has kind of a recession model phone. That just happened to be timed right for the moment. You said it has a touch. Id So we're back to the home button right. I guess yeah I guess you could say we're back in the future if you will right. It's an interesting phone and apple's done this once before they launched. What was an older looking phone with? Older technologies in two thousand sixteen. That phone was also called the IPHONE. Se and what they're able to do is they're able to take components that have been around for a while and machinery. They've been using for years them because they've had that machinery for a while. It doesn't cost them as much to make these phone so they can still have good apple profit margins. But you know not maybe you know the type of sizzle worry. We're used to from the company when it comes to technology and the feature specs. There are a couple of drawbacks with the phone. The other phone that we've been kind of waiting for from Apple. This year is the five G. This obviously is not that end of the spectrum. And it's still even with its lower tag. It's still more expensive than some of the average phones in the markets. That apple is trying to get into like India for example. So how could that have an impact on how well received? This phone is at the end of the day. Yeah absolutely I mean. I think that's going to be the big challenge for this phone. Is that Apple? Apple hopes that it can begin to build some market share and some some developing markets India. I mean that's a big growth market for the smartphone world right now. China is pretty much tapped and not part of the reason. We've seen apple's total number of shipments and its sales of smartphones in terms of unit sales decrease in order to reverse that they've gotta find a market like India and sell these funds. Problem with the is that it's still more than double the price of the average smartphone in India. So how many people are going to buy. It is to be determined. And then the other thing that it's got to contend with is they're going to be low cost five defines coming out in the months ahead from Chinese smartphone makers and the infrastructure may not be there on five G. We still don't know about that but there is a lot of marketing sizzle when you talk about five. G. It's a selling point. And so the allure of a phone. That may be speedier. That has five g technology and maybe a little bit faster might might make it harder for apple to sell these iphone. Essy's that don't have that technology and we talked about it already. Apple had some plans to release new. Iphones this fall. Do we expect those to still be on schedule? Given everything we're seeing right now with a pandemic that's like the the multi-billion world of Apple Right. It's like well. We'll products be delivered on time and that's really like everything's so uncertain right now. We do know that. Foxconn largest contract manufacturer has the production has returned to seasonal levels. But the way that apple rolls out and develop since phones is it really beginning stages and those stages began right in the middle of the corona virus outbreak and win those. Those factories really shut down in February. So it's an open question as to whether or not ABBA can make up for lost time and get these phones out in the fall in September when it usually does many analysts are already expecting the company to be at least a month late if not more all right. Reporter trip mickle. Thanks so much for joining us. I'm

"Thirty three ninety nine interesting Phoenix this year thirteen forty nine last year. Seventeen a one Vegas last year. Twenty three seventy nine this year thirty three forty five. Atlanta this year twenty twenty thirty six last year twenty three sixteen both of those numbers higher than the number of people in the stands at Atlanta. They did count Daytona. I'll I'm so happy. They have they told her. They're awesome. Last year six thousand two hundred sixty seven grief like passes. This year, eight thousand six hundred eleven you go, and you guys all saw while both of you listening. You saw Daytona? Did it look like you were you like oh my God. They're eight thousand passes in this race. Is that what you were thinking you shall Texas? And you think you saw thirty five hundred passes green flag there. And and the way that this stat gets so tainted and NASCAR, of course, just gonna milk this for everything's old new role package. Look what happened. We'll look what happened the neural package is affecting those numbers. It is one hundred percent. And the reason that the new rule package is affecting those numbers is because a the cars are going slower be they have much more grit because they have much more downforce. And because of that the drivers can basically it's like video game. They put their foot down they turn left. They put their foot down they turn left. And so they don't have the. Problems spinning blowing out tires running into things that they normally do. And so we've got way more green flag runs way less cautions. And so whenever like driver one stops them. Just just say during a green flag round the pitstops top ten top fifteen cars top fifteen cars come into pit the dude. In sixteenth is like I'm gonna stay out. Guess what? He just passes. Fifteen cars and gets credit for passing fifteen cars under grain. But did he really race past? Anybody was really awesome racing to watch one do drive across start finish line while everybody else on pit road. No. But it counts. And so yes, the role package is affecting it because there are less pitstops, which means more guys are sitting in the pits under green getting passed by the guys who aren't sitting in the pits under green, boom. You've padded your stats. Everything looks awesome. We should put giant spoilers on the back to get even more downforce fish race. They should raise. Toyota, they should raise all the Toyota. Corollas driving on the ten yesterday with their big effing spoilers seventy five horsepower. And the on lights because slower with more downforce, obviously means more passes that obviously means better racing at Texas event. There were twenty six lead changes among thirteen drivers. That's exciting. It again that Lee change when a guy comes into the Pitsea loses to leave. But there were a lot of guys who did lead a decent handful. That was a good race. No, I'll get given that when the one was a good brace try to find they said the caution laps were twenty nine. They're twenty nine caution that see there you go. And and I'm sure that majority of those if not all of them were just probably stage. Yeah. There was the Kyle Larson accident. And that was it. I think. When that happens you're gonna have inflated green pie pass number agreed flag pass numbers. And you brought up the loop system. Right. No. I don't know if they changed. They probably didn't change the number of loops from last year to this year. I don't know. But still the loop the loop data with with how close they're running. Now, that's use it too. Because you can have a guy at one loop ahead. And you have a guy the next loop the other guys especially Nick green flag past especially when you talk about like Daytona. And talladega. I mean, those numbers are inflated because of that anyway. But especially now when you talk about these these these cookie cutter a mile and a half where everyone's starting to. But which is good racing with the problem is it side by side. It's not one guy taking over sling shutting around right? It's like, it's just it's minimal nominal passing. This guy's bumper is a heaven this loop that guy's bumpers head and the other guess what.

Right. When they set that over on the. Yeah. Exactly. And I think he'd been over. I mean he'd been over that number every year but one year, right? I think that we the number seem, you know, today, particularly low at. You know, he doesn't get hurt. And he's healthy. He obviously is approaching four thousand yards. I'm guessing this year. So what are you gonna do with our kids Saint we have enough problems on our own? But when he asked me your endorsement you like, yeah, that's a good bet. Steering. Collision is still good at six and two didn't feel at the end of the year. I know you also in real life. You had this is interesting. Didn't work it yet. Big Ben to an MVP. That's not going to happen. I will actually had no ties in the NFL. That was a funny one. That one that went down the first week. And then you could've met at the second week went down. Again, you know, sell right from the beginning. I knew I had rivers most yards and Big Ben MVP in if I just reversed that right? That's exactly what I was just going to say in in years past you've had been for most yards and this year you had rivers at fifteen to one right? Exactly. Right. Exactly. I've had that Big Ben for probably several years as most yards and this year. I switched it up with rivers, and it cost me, of course. Well, you still have Barkley outstanding from VP you have Mahomes Barclay rookie of the year. And I do have Barclay on a parlay for rookie of the year. But I did not get the same that you guys got not nine host to those. Yeah, I'm gonna brag a little here because rarely rarely rarely ever gets to happen. But I did very well on my futures the ones I bet I'm not sure ones I gave out podcast, but I'm gonna read the ones I bet because I know how to settle this. First of all, I all division winners to have over eight and a half wins. And Polly kid that was looking really sketchy when every NFC's team was three and four we'll worse right week seven or something like that. But somehow that came through and as you pointed out Polly kit, not only was the NFC east, not the laughing stock to playoff teams year. Yep. Serve two teams. About halfway through the season that they'd have to play off teams from the NFC. Good job. And neither of them were the Redskins who were looking like, they were definitely gonna be one of them. If they're going to be too right at seven and five whenever they were generally fans. Like, Harry was still rangeland hope when they were like five at eight that they'd make the playoffs. So he's still alive. Yeah. Bengals Vikings and falcons all to make the playoffs that wasn't good. Although the Bengals look good for a minute. The vikings. I blue week seventeen falcons. I don't know what the hell happened Rams and pats to win the division. Okay. So what I put them together Aaron Donald to win defensive player of the year at ten the one that's very excited about that. I've been Hugh and Dirk bolt to be. I folks fired probably should happen at the same time. But you got the you you beat him by about eight weeks. And so I get paid on that. I think there was like plus three seventy five and then Brian I kind of trying to do this. I did this with the baseball players and it worked out with like pool holes and L trae in some of these other guys who was Chris. Trying to think I had a lot of older baseball players under their home run totals under their RBI tunnels. I did this again with some of these NFL players amendola under six fifty yards. He had five seventy five. I can't even believe that was close. Yeah. And a few others and McCaffrey was probably my best over eight. Rushing receiving or return touchdowns the thirteen like six and seven somewhere in there. So yeah, I did. Well, there I can't believe it. It'll never happen again. But actually one bending some futures. And we're about to do our.

"Transformers t- CG coming very soon. Three ninety nine a pack, goof. That's a little expensive. I don't know what you think that's expensive or not. But anyway, the funny part about that is you search for a Google. Quick answer says ten twenty two thousand eighteen. Now I'm gonna try something. I'm going to type in Star Wars, destiny across the galaxy. Release date. A quick answer came up with it. Yeah, right. So I don't know there you go. What do you think about key forge- in? Do you think it's gonna take way from destiny? Do you even think that they're in the same ballpark, man? I just don't. I don't see that. It's not taking me away, but maybe they'll take you from it. It's taken are taking Jay away. He's not podcasting with me right now is he, I can't get him on the show to save my life. I don't know. By the way, if you're interested, I got a spot for you. You gotta be able to record regularly. I'm pretty tired. I needed vice. The whole idea. This whole podcast Bali started was for me to get coaching for cheap. I should have just joined hyperloop patriot really coaching tear cheaper. Don't get any advice from anybody. Allan Preston gives me vice. He said, play this vehicle deck. It's good when three and three what I'm gonna play now gonna play tomorrow. I still don't have a deck is not going to be good to be good at all. So we talked about, we talked about mill. Do you want to hear that declaration you already know that tech list by now. Here's the one that intrigues me for tomorrow out if you're not gonna listen to this anyway for tomorrow, so it probably won't put it out. I like guys from destiny council and John Bryan talk about iota Kassian agro. Now that's a deck. I get behind that. I like. Yoda Cassie, and it's profitable connections to that plot. It's profitable connection singular, and it's got a really goofy picture of Leno cow Ritchie and on it. That's got fifteen grades. Eleven dice, fifteen events. Love it. Got heavy blasters, heavy blaster, pistol force luge in four speed hidden blasters. Hold out blasters second chance. Tonight's neighbors. That's a lot of good days cars. Isn't it? Monica weapons to me. That's that's. That's destined. Now you're playing destiny. What's the event has got to all in easy pickings, entangle friends in low places, hidden motive hyperspace jump impulsive mind trick. Overconfidence quick-draw and rebel rebel seem Superfund. What's that card do you? By the way? It's yellowcard it's for heroes. It costs one play only if you have one or more dice showing discard so you got gotta roll that discard that's the key play a cartridge, discard pile decreasing its costs by one. So what could you do that? Anything. Anything play any card from discard pile. So what could you do? You could do that to second chance. In fact, Brian talked about an interview would John which you can just listen to it on the tube of you type in deputy counsel. Yoda Kassian. Just I've been destiny council about it comes up second chance playing that again. That's pretty cool. This deck has staying power with two four solutions to second chance by the way, how broken those two cards for solutions in second chance, they broken..
