"Happened Signing contracts for a recording and film. The warner brothers made And it was amazing. The way came together at the last minute then at work So after that. I had to taste of Flexing a muscle political muscle or environmental activists muscle and after that. It's like dust. Settled a little bit. And i was just my work. Musical working and ulster county new york announced they were going to build a giant incinerator landfill on our last developed farm in the town that winston farm and I drive my daughter passed. That farm to jet to school. You know are bringing home from school and Would have been one hundred two hundred thousand tons of garbage year for twenty years and to Incinerators with smokestacks. Three hundred fifteen feet tall. Which is where the dioxin would start coming out and you know it was just something i didn't want and a lot of my neighbors said either. I talked about the balloon. Fluid balloon whether balloon up to three hundred fifteen feet to show people in the area. How tall us smokes would be an and and They were calling from across the river. He side of the hudson river from way out west and orange county and dutchess county. Alster county saying you know. I can see it from here. It would have been by far the tallest structure and ulster county. And more importantly. I think well not only would have been spewing out toxins but but what it meant that the town would have tilted toward dirty industry that nobody would have wanted to build nice housing near or put in any kind of upscale businesses Actually after we stopped the plant. And that was partly why got elected county legislature. My first political office was that i'd been involved with was in the middle actually of trying to stop this this incinerator and giant landfill from coming in and And so people in the town just decided that he wanted me to run and i did. I wanted i went to a legislative position. Didn't run for reelection. Because i i just basically wanted to get back to my musical.

"As Jacob barnes give a three run homer to flint as in the eighth inning that really put the game in the way it made a four two game Seven two game and actually even before that it would have been three to the mets with a chance to come back in tie it but jacob. Barnes induced a double play ball where the mets had the shift on and the second baseman wasn't where the second base would normally be so the ball went right into the outfield and runs scored and the rest is history but it was great in the first game of that doubleheader where jacob degrom went out and just had an incredible game six innings. Fourteen strikeouts Just complete domination. He threw really one bad. Pitch that day and degrom You know he led three hundred runs. Three unearned runs. I'm sorry but Was still just bearing down and made every pitch kept his team. The game did everything he could. And then jonathan vr. Tie the game with the base hit and before francisco endured the mets. The mets three hundred dollar man as opposed to the yankees gentlemen garrett cole francisco. Linda base hit probably his biggest hit as a met thus far that he's off to a rough start till he's only hitting about one eighty nine right now but that game winning hit for degrom. I'm sure a lot of met fans would take that hit over a lot of other spots because the degrom needed that win degrom went to one on one. He's got a zero point. Four five era now then when you look at today today them. The mets ended up winning today To one eight just dominant dominant innings from marcus stroman. As marcus stroman went out there. Eight innings three hits one. Run one walk five strikeouts. He's got a zero point. Nine zero era he's three now Stroman just complete domination at coors field as the uncharacteristic statistic for pitcher as. He's got a one point six four. Era three starts there And if you know anything about coors field in denver because they're so high above sea level the bowl on average travels about an extra twenty percent in the air that means. I heard him explaining it today. Where if you have a three hundred. Fifty foot outfield fence. It really plays a lot more like a three hundred fifteen foot outfield fence or three hundred ten foot outfield fence And that that really comes into play a lot especially in a ballpark like that with the bulk. Just jet out but for some reason degrom really pitched great there yesterday and stroman founded ended up today as a matter of fact after both of them have made of course field start which usually demolishes pitchers era. I mean i saw a statistic yesterday. Where max scherzer and Clayton kershaw both. Great pitchers both have career as over five at that ballpark now. Degrom has one around to and and Stroman has an under two. When you look at this season as a whole though degrom and And marcus stroman have combined for forty innings pitched twenty one hits only three earned runs six walks and forty six strikeouts that combine. They have a zero point. Six eight yara. Just phenomenal out of this world numbers especially when you consider that a third of those starts to of the six have come in chorus field so just completely crazy and that completely goes on top when you look at some of the mets. I mean i'm gonna mentioned brandon nimmo off the top because brandon..

marcus stroman Degrom Stroman Barnes jonathan max scherzer three hundred runs today yesterday first game Jacob barnes garrett cole francisco forty six strikeouts jacob Fourteen strikeouts forty innings three hundred Clayton kershaw brandon Linda

"In the skyline studio on a Thursday morning marchers with me from from the check out editor in chief Marty thanks for hanging out absolutely later on late night early Thursday thanks we're talking about some Guinness world records Inc about food related to give us world record if you want to jump in with a talk or text and any of us it's three one two nine eight one seven two also if you wanna well Textainer your favorite brand of popcorn we'd love to hear from that since we do the popcorn test so there are a couple of guys who want to put together a charcuterie board that is three hundred fifteen feet long that's what they're gonna do they're gonna try and attempt it in September yes so there are other food related world records including the largest annual food fight yes I believe forty thousand people were involved what it says it was in Spain in two thousand thirteen one of our commenters on the website actually said that they were there for that food fight they said Hey I didn't know I was a world record holder what they were in the food fight yeah they were part of it wow by the way I'm in the Guinness world book of records what I am for what the end of my my my my old buddy I as world Leon who used to do traffic here on the overnights with me we didn't know each other than when it happened but we were both part of the Guinness world book record oh my gosh so here's what it was you know they show in the summertime this was one every Tuesday in the summertime they would show outdoor movies in Grant Park you know and you would go bring your blanket bring your wine or whatever you want we're supposed to drink in the park so we would go every my my my ex and I would go every Tuesday we would go and want one of those Tuesdays they show duck soup of the fantastic Marx brothers one of the greatest movies ever made and so we went and while we were there they were handing out Groucho glasses to the entire crowd with the nose yeah everything knows in the mustache the the city had a bid all these Russia glasses and at the time they were performing animal crackers at the Goodman so they have the guy who played Groucho there when he was on stage in front of in front of the the screen talking about it and they announced that they wanted to break a Guinness world or or set a Guinness world record for most people wearing Groucho glasses in one place that's still light full we got our Groucho glasses and I did know was world back then but we're both part of the people we were we were there when they set the world record for most Groucho glasses in one place and I can't imagine that that record has been or will be broken I can't remember how many people were there but it was great parking was packed yeah and so and and but I don't know I don't know the I have to look it up to to know what the exact number of how many but we're all of us where their men were a whole bunch of people outside we took a bunch of pictures to hit like there's tons of people just wearing Groucho glasses resumes yeah it was pretty cool so all right how bout this largest packaged food word yeah so that's like a bit of a stretch right it's basically the largest assemblage of packaged foods that form a word when you step away from them and look at them and it was what word wasn't even it was three three right because it was like a calorie free food and a sugar free food some I don't know so they basically put food packages together to form the F. the are the E. in the E. yes and when you look at the photo online I'm sorry it's not particularly impressive okay it's just the word free it's it uses over a thousand packages of this cookie product it says a thousand one hundred and eleven packages but the people sitting in front of it you know it's a little bigger than a human okay cell yeah but it's a record that's what matters okay all right well let's see and it was in Hong Kong in two thousand eighteen all right how about longest fruit snack yeah up that I had to look at the photos of which are available on the Guinness site as well but I couldn't picture what a long fruit snack would look like it appears to be more like one of those fruit leathers that you see at the grocer floral up yeah like a fruit roll ups and they were kids just chowing down on it which is great and it was ninety one point four four meters that's as long as I want my fruit by the foot to be every time I eat one echo and that was in Canada in two thousand eleven those crazy Canadians will they do next what they gonna do largest cookie mosaic that was a rather stunning portrait of a I believe a Japanese diplomats and yeah it the cookies formed a really striking and very recognizable photo realistic image that's pretty cool yeah and we can check out these pictures online because I do when I do want to see these things it it it's it it measured three hundred eighteen point eight five square meters which and you can't imagine how somebody dreams this up and then executes on it yeah it's crazy and then if it was in Japan in two thousand eighteen all right how bout this someone someone has the record for most bagged lunches assembled in three minutes yes it was to advertise a better way to pack a child's lunch I don't know if it was promoting the health of the launch or the efficiency for moms but it was part of a promotional events and I believe nine meals were assembled in three minutes which nine bags yeah I don't know if that includes actually making any element of the food like making the sandwich writing but I would assume it would because if you're just throwing stuff in the bag you could pack not absolutely yeah I would imagine you know you got you so what anyway I I would be included book a sandwich and like a sandwich of milk apple apple cookie something like that yeah okay and that was that Vanessa what Jay is the one who two nine bags she she did and this is this is it right here in America two thousand nineteen all right largest cream filled biscuit well and of course what they're really saying is largest Fauria right you know you can't always say it but the pictures of this oreo are stunning I've never seen more of a cream filling center in my life it goes beyond double Stuf Megan stuff yeah it's it's just an absolute kiddie pool of filling that's crazy marchers here today to Julia show on seven twenty continuing editor in chief of the take out we're talking about some food related Guinness records so large story it weighed seventy three point four kilograms this is like a hundred and fifty pounds or so yeah well that's not I got to say I am I am I am I'm glad that these the oreo thins are out you are yeah might be the only one I'm not a big guy I don't like the double stuff you know and I don't I don't like the double stuff really good times look at me like I'm nuts I think I'm looking at you that way too I know most people right now listening or probably going what's wrong with this guy but I like the things you know what else they have things in now they they're doing a York peppermint Pattie thin and a white chocolate receives them so if you like the the buyer rating of chocolate well I like my peppermint peppermint patties big yeah that one I'll go with I'm not as crazy but the cream filling and then it's just when I know it's we as soon as they the things came out I was like oh and and patently it's just a it's a it's a it's an item that's this specifically for me and nobody else keeping them in business I was a double stuff way too much I know I know I don't know I've everybody like I said you listening at home you're like at the big retelling after radio right now what is wrong with the Giulia that reminds me of not what is wrong with the chili as part of the take out there's an article where we take all the cream fillings from an entire pack of oreos and put them between two oreo cookies all calm on the pictures are unbelievable man so yes I encourage you all to check it out on the take out dot com that's whole layer that's great our time you would love to eat that would yeah absolutely because he looked at me like I was nuts when I said I don't like the this is the best pets on American let me ask you this do you either of you twist the thing and then scrape off the the the cream so my mood really you do that yeah there was one time I kind of did what they did the take out but I didn't stagger between two or is it just scrapes like entire package of oreos is scraped all the cream into a bowl you've just got to be kidding and I would dip the cookie into the cream bowl you're nuts have I told you my story about the spider and the center yeah yesterday and now it's it as you said stars for entertainment is what I all right well there you go and then the largest showcase of chocolate dresses that's what I want to learn so much more about how these things were made but there were twenty three dresses at a fashion show made of chocolate that the models wore them I have no idea how that kept them from being melted by just yeah he he yeah they must have been put on well froze yes so there's twenty three outfits and this was in full of course France of course yep course and it was the salon du chocolat all right there it is so there's a some records in it and I I really have to see this picture of the order that you guys did yeah I have to check that out definitely oh man that's crazy so exams I'm sure Tom that ten people texting and that I'm an idiot for for not enjoying the the cream filling actually in fact six three oh says I love the things too there you go what there you go there's a there's at least one other person on this planet that likes the things more I knew there was a reason they were still in the market yeah all right how about this seven seven three sends him a text that says we we we we did it for for people who are just tuning in we did a a popcorn taste test will be earlier and that was the winner again Angie's boom chicka pop that's right Angie's boom chicka pop was the best of microwave popcorn salted you know bit was perfect amount of butter salt beautiful and it's good and to the actually towns please leave it right now as we speak I'm glad it's not going away yeah but anyway they do sometimes he says I grew up on jolly time and Popeyes white popcorn kernels "To Bob moon. Hey, Bob hitching. Thank you very much. It is seen that has brought many stunned Parisians to tears and saddened countless others around the world. This is what it sounded like tonight when a major fire brought down the three hundred fifteen foot tall spire atop the conic Notre Dame cathedral. The fire chief in Perez says it's unclear if city firefighters are capable of stopping the flames from spreading to Notre Dame's second bell tower, and belfry, and he adds if it collapses you can imagine how important the damage will be with the key support choice holding the building up it could crumble President Trump travelling in Minnesota today talked about the tragic fire to extend our regards at our hopes. And God bless you to Paris to France what they're going through its steel go back and you'll see what's what's happening. It's a very very sad thing. I've never quite you take a look at this. This is one of the true catastrophes. The Vatican has issued a statement about the terrible fire that has devastated Notre Dame cathedral in Paris. "To operate in Virginia by chef. Saturday morning update on WMA, Al I'm not sure whether to refer to it as the Super Bowl weekend vision or the pre state of the union addition. But we are joined by Jennifer Harper. She writes inside the beltway at the Washington Times. Good morning. How are you? Good morning, Rick. I'm pretty good Super Bowl Sunday. Of course, tomorrow a lot of controversy around the NFL over the past two seasons. You follow the poll numbers very closely. And what are you seeing in terms of survey results and the NFL and the Super Bowl why? Yes, I do. And I have a an academic Paul here for you, which means that it's not particularly slanted in any direction. And it's revealing that most of America's like about the Super Bowl and this is coming from Monmouth university, and they found that fifty percent of Americans now say that they have no interest. I mean, none in the Super Bowl. This is fifty percents five zero Americans. Yes. Five zero. That's that's a majority. Say they have no interest in the Super Bowl, and again that ain't no interest. And this is something that even Republicans and Democrats can't agree on because fifty one percent of Republicans and fifty two percent of Democrats. Also. Agreed. They have absolutely no interest in the big game. And the poll also found that you Americans and both parties will either be paying a little attention or not even have the game on their home. So that's not very promising for the big game. But I dunno. There a tool not necessarily the truth anyway up Patrick Murray. He's the director of the ball. You said this year's matchup doesn't seem to have produced quite the spark is twenty eighteen which featured a clear underdog, and he is a poll also found that most Americans will be rooting for. Nobody over half say that it doesn't matter to them who wins and one and six have a lot of interest. And that's it one in six people would say, man. Yeah. I have a lot of interest. And also if you're thinking about the parties, and you're feeling crummy today because you're not going to a party. Well, join the club because it's also found that eighty one percent of Americans do not clan on attending a big game get together, either either at their home or a bar, restaurant, etc. And again, this is across the board with Republicans Democrats as well and about more than half of Americans. Rex fifty two percents say it doesn't matter to them wins. And again. Lubbock is never crafts. Almost identical readings for them. If you have to take a side twenty nine percent of a nation favored, the Rams twenty six percent of Republicans and of the Democrats agree with that. And among all Americans eighteen percent favor. The patriots as do twenty one percent of the Republicans and sixteen percent of the Democrats. And also if you're wondering President Trump is indeed going to give an interview you'll be Eliza Margaret Brennan, she's the moderator of CBS face the nation, and the supreme taped interview, and they're going to be showing bits and pieces of it throughout the afternoon tomorrow. But I think quite a bit of it will be shown around three thirty pm said from that and one last thing Rick carbon footprint for the Super Bowl. And this is coming from Richard Thompson, he's president of air charter service, America's he ought to know about this stuff. So don't tell former Vice President Al gore, but there will be a lot of private jets flying into Atlanta or already there. They expect a thousand private jet. Jet flights coming into the Atlanta area for the big game. And all the little airports out there or have ten times their normal private jet traffic. So there's your Super Bowl update. So all of the wealthy people who are so concerned about global warming and climate change all firing up the private jet. So they can get in and out of Atlanta amazing a thousand of them. Well, of course, the Super Bowl is on CBS. But Fox News has been scoring some major touchdowns and victories recently. This is just an amazing a victory for Fox News. I mean, I tell them a great deal. I'm very impressed. Awesome. Was there organization and the the quality of the the production that they put out, but this is a very uncommon phenomenon. And the news media because this is a field. That's often. Mark the light with a lot of changes shifting business models and so forth. But here you go Fox News channel has defied the on they have emerged. Rick SE. Number one rated Cable News Network for seventeen consecutive years. This is according to Nielsen media research. So we're talking straight numbers here. Of course, lots news is pretty thrilled about the whole thing. That's nice quotes from CEO, Suzanne, Scott and the president j Wallace they released a statement, and they credited they're loyal audience and their premier team of journalists. So hurry, and you know, again, this is a top. Among. Their rivals MSNBC and CNN, of course. But also for the past thirty one months, Fox News during the day has been the top cable channel. I mean above everyone ESPN, the HDTV and the rest of them, and that's thirty one months on the top there, and you have to remember they also have some very interesting numbers there during the first GOP presidential debate all the way back in twenty fifteen remember that it was hosted by Megan Kelly when she drew an interesting remarks, President Trump that you're an unprecedented twenty four million viewers, and that is the highest rated cable news program in history. And also more recently, Fox News, one of the twenty eighteen midterm elections ratings, and they beat all the big dream, including NBC CBS and ABC they had eight million viewers tonight. So that's a victory for Fox News and applause for them for doing a good job. You said thirty one months that's about the time. Donald. Trump came on the scene way. Now, isn't it? Yeah. I think you've got a point there. Right. That's very observant. Well in some serious news about President Trump upcoming North Korean summit just around the corner. What are you hearing from secretary of state, Mike Pompeii on that? Well, you know, let's recall from the last time, President Trump men North Korean leader, Kim, Jon UN, I mean, the news media was pretty flabbergasted at your wall to wall, nonstop global coverage very dramatic. And you know, part two is coming right up the networks. I'm sure already manning up running for this. But this is what secretary of state, Mike Pompeo told Sean Hannity on Fox News. He said, I think we'll have a summit at the end of the month. Of course, that's the plan. That's what the North Koreans have agreed to. It's what we've agreed to do with them as well. We'll do it someplace in Asia. Mr. Pompeo says so I think that looks good. I am dispatching a team their their head. That way now to lay the foundation for what I hope will be a substantial additional step towards the past not only for new denuclearization of the peninsula. But a brighter future for the North Korean people. And I particularly liked that quote, a brighter future for the North Korean people again coming from Mr. Pompeo. And and he also said I think it took President Trump to convince chairman Kim that out of all the commitments that he's made pass June that the the greater security will be part of that he says now it's time for my team and all of the United States government to work with the North Koreans to execute that and to deliver commitment to denuclearize the peninsula. Again. I thought it was kind of a thoughtful statement and took note of it. So Senator Cory Booker from New Jersey jumped into the three ring democratic circus on Friday with his announcement that he is running for president as well. And the big question does your. And it will be the question that continues up until November of twenty twenty is who will be the group's voter blocks that will really decide the twenty twenty election. And you've got some numbers initially on where that's heading into. This is another monster study from our friends over the Pew Research Center, and they're basically using a census bureau data and projections. So this is not something that they're finding out on holidays or national figures and just to to kind of kick off here. They are saying that for the first time Hispanics are going to be the largest, racial or ethnic minority group in the electorate, and they were going to account for thirteen percent of eligible voters. And again, this is the first, and it's something that certainly the Trump administration is paying attention to because a recent NPR PBS news hour marriages poll reveals that sixty percent of Hispanics. Now approve of the job. Mr. Trump is doing and that's up nineteen. Eighty percents percentage points since December. So we pay attention to that. Let's go to drive the Democrats through the roof.
