"Sort of put up with a long simmering war? I mean, it's three, four months of the war in Ukraine. Does that reach a point where more action is required? From all the statements that we're hearing from officials from politicians, we're hearing that they're still committed to supporting Ukraine. I think there is a hope that by switching strategies from sending Soviet air equipment, which was what allies were doing at the beginning of the war too more modern era equipment, which is the type of stuff that Russia does not have access to and won't be easily able to replicate given sanctions that have been imposed on it. I think there is a hope that it could help turn the tide sooner rather than later in favor of Ukrainians. But at the moment, from the military debriefings that we're getting, it's still very, it's not a bit of a stalemate and in a way. It's basically one to one at the moment. So it's sort of made to be seen how long this will drag on. Natalia, thank you so much for being with me. You'll be reporting, of course, from the NATO summit in Madrid in the coming days that is our Bloomberg NATO reporter at Natalya at George the act. Sen. Mike Lee and Mark Levin Listen to Democrats' Original Stance on COVID Vaccine Mandates

"Senator I want you to listen to this It's 11 mister producer These is a Montage of Democrats saying we won't force anyone to take COVID vaccine Hat tip gradient cut 11 go We can not require someone to be vaccinated That's just not what we can do Needless to say the right of women to make decisions about their own bodies is not negotiable No definitely not You don't want a mandate and try and force anyone to take a vaccine We've never done that Our interest is very simple from the federal government which is Americans privacy and rights should be protected It is a matter of privacy to know who is or who isn't We don't want to be mandating from the federal government to the general population It would be unenforceable and not appropriate Perhaps the federal government should step in and issue mandates and if not are you putting the needs of unvaccinated people ahead of the needs of that community I think the question here one that's not the role of the federal government No I don't think it should be mandatory I wouldn't demand to be mandatory First we must increase vaccinations among the unvaccinated with new vaccination requirements So what happens senator Lee I mean did the constitution in the underlying statute for osha change three four months ago I guess their own enlightenment came about in this moment when all of a sudden they started treating government as if it were a deity as if it were the entity to which we could look and live It's not that It still doesn't have that power as Abraham Lincoln said if you rename the tail of a dog a leg it's still the dog that just has four legs not 5 And so it doesn't have this power It doesn't have this authority I believe that in time this will be smacked down by the Supreme Court of the United States The question is how much pain and indignity what the American people have to endure in the

YouTube Star Mark Rober on Advice for Budding Streamers

"You heard part one of our interview with youtube star. Mark rober talked about fighting porch pirates who were swiping amazon packages with a trap featuring glitter and fart sprang in part. Two of our interview. Today rover discusses his first ever youtube video and is advice for anyone who aspires to gain a following on the platform. Take a listen. It's interesting the talk about the the schedule that you keep. Because i feel like. I've seen a lot of social media personalities in youtube personalities. Talk about this pressure to always want to come out with something new in like daily. Almost like there's such a thirst for this from the audience that you feel pressure to keep this going. What has kept you grounded as far as just keeping this monthly schedule in. Have you felt those pressures at all. I mean not really in the sense from beginning. When i started my channel nine years ago i started doing monthly uploads and there. It's true what you're listening to at one point the algorithm blessed algorithm that all the you know youtubers fear and hate and love at the same time it was really favoring daily uploads but then they kind of realize this the content. That isn't that great in high quality. You know just everything was daily blogs so they kind of turn that knob back and now if it's the audience seems to like it there's not necessarily. You're not penalized. I think beyond monthly if you doing two months three four months you kind. It might be penalized a little bit. But there's nothing wrong. Youtube some very clear with monthly uploads and as evidence of that. I currently am a at least a few months ago. I had an all of you to be highest average views per video at like twenty seven million views. Because i only do one of other people's views per month. But because i only do one a month the actual average views per video if not number one i'm in the top three or four five so the that strategy can work. And so that's what i do. I swing for the fences every month and pour my guts into it

Flu Vaccine (MM #3471)

"The Maison with Kevin Nation doctors are telling us we need to get a flu shot this year because the flu vaccine will be most important in helping wage covid-19 because a lot of the symptoms do mimic each other. So we want to make sure not spread germs and disease this year, but also heard something very interesting where that this year. The summer time flew was the most inconsequential than we've ever seen in years because everybody's wearing masks and they're avoiding people to stand six feet away. So naturally flu germs aren't getting past. So we didn't have any summer type flu this year. My wife and I are looking at getting our flu vaccine this year. We don't normally do it, but they're not going to get it but now you've got a time when you get it because if you get it right now with some recommend it may not keep you covered for the flu in January and February if I get the flu, it's normally during January and February so I may want to push down until late October. So it make sure to cover me for about three four months which is all the flu vaccine is good for but if you get your flu shot now, that's only going to take you through the end of the year and you got to worry about January and February when you get it could play a big part two dead.

"Or are you able to keep the loanee under control Dr John under control while I was gone David was full time it was don't don't leave that up to me anymore he is a wild card no he did a great job we had a we had a lot of fun I had a taser underneath the best threatening log yeah I kept him in line to keep him keep him on target I'm bigger than him focus yes well we know that Saddam and scary open phones as we talk about your life in your money today Chris Hogan are here to help you do that opened on triple eight eight two five five two two five Alan starts off this hour in Kentucky Hey Alan welcome to the Dave Ramsey show hi Dave are currently trying to get this big book you all today you too Sir backwards survey boga mo I'm fifty two years old allies if the ten year old son I'll read off in the middle of March due to lack of work were it not for your group to come with nineteen and thoughtfully I've lost my job there here right now money that I have grown and it is our monthly unemployment benefits federal employment benefits I get money from the beneficiary Iranian a beneficiary movie well I think I'm a stable and have been throughout the pandemic well laid off we started saving cash from the cash in at the moment we've been paying our minimum payments on everything yeah we were definitely at this point we have about three four months ago it's good to say that the baby step three got a chance to maybe have like six months saved up by the end of July but my question is should we at this point go ahead and continue to play a task or should we start in order to does she make last year it was around forty seven what do you what do you wish to make larger milepost twenty nine M. M. in blackheads logs that determine distribution from a if you're sure are in a new city yeah another bomb your your career you were making thirty grand yes then you lost that job so how's the job going well good we got a ten year old we in Kentucky you were not as far as Bailey get you know they cancel day cares and stuff and I actually opened back up till next week and during the summer months that's what we would do with our son he would typically go to a different day cancel stuff throughout the summer a lot of them are still on hold because the code where you say you have an even lower correct the park pardon sure you haven't even looked no okay when you guys are looking forty one school starts back up log why you don't think that I can forget open next week well I don't want that you go through I'm not able to find any information on okay but I'd be concerned about getting back a month getting back in the saddle if I were in your shoes I mean July twenty fifth this unemployment runs out and you're gonna be you're gonna want to be getting back to normal before you stop stop stop piling up cash I think yeah I do too Alan I mean you are aware that in July that extra six hundred a week goes away right yeah okay and so would you be a proactive right now did you guys have family members where you live we do okay you see that's where it is stepping out of the box you start to look into thinking your kid go over there while you're working but jump starting it I I that's my fear album is that a lot of people are sitting back and waiting until the end of July to start to be concerned and the time to be concerned is now the time to be proactive is now so you you can put yourself in a better situation before the money runs out otherwise there's going to be this blood out there Dave of a lot of people that are trying to jump start something that could have been an easier start earlier we have forty million unemployed the ones around unemployment are all going to be looking for work July the twenty fifth yeah I would get a jump ahead of that line I don't want to be in line behind forty million people that's exactly right and as you look for a job it does it might not be in your area of choice it doesn't matter Dave I heard you say this years ago it's easier to find a job when you have one yeah and so get some money coming in because it'll just change your psyche yeah I want you to the tent they answer your questions I want to get stabilized on the career side before you stop piling up cash because I don't want you to come up short and I'm worried that your strategy is going to cause you to be unemployed past when you think you're going to it sounds like you think you're going no problem as soon as the childcare thing straightened out or goes back to school then there been a problem just picking up a job which is good news is you make thirty thousand hours you're not three hundred thousand those are harder to find show a thirty thousand user defined show I you know that's that's the thing I would get after and I want to get in line in front of all these people that are gonna wait web salute Lee and this is the time to dust off your resume start reaching out to people friends coworkers let people know that you are looking don't be so picky right now that you pick yourself out of an option now yeah I think I'd be a little more urgent than if I were in your shoes and you've been on this so far Hey man thanks for the call all right up next gonna be Sheldon in Washington hi Sheldon how are you doing good how are you done that is because you guys you too Sir what's up okay I got a question about expense ratio that been doing some research I got a lot of money in a Roth IRA on mutual fund an X. and not heard you talk about expense ratios and basically my question is not I've talked to some people vanguard and buy and they say that a three year expense ratios when they show you the performance of the mutual fund during it'll tell yeah expense ratio and I don't know if the expense ratio is calculated in we before they tell you at this mutual fund has a twelve percent return is that before they usually give you the total return and if you want the average annual you would divide it by the number of years that they give you the total return for and then your expense ratio would come out of that and also that the trick with expense ratios as this you need to think how long you're going to be investing and look at the expense ratio for that period of time typically there aren't you know they've got a a one three five and a ten year expense ratio and allow the prospectuses and maybe a little some of my have a fifteen but you want a long term because you're investing for the long term so when I do that then it obviously your amateur rising any front end costs over that period of time it lowers the expense ratio overall I will tell you this I it it's nothing I spend the least time worrying about I glance at it to make sure that they're not ripping me off right but I would rather have an expense ratio that's a tick higher and a a.

"Seven awaited is happy Star Wars day it's may the fourth Monday morning I I gotta tell ya I red you know the release from Ohio state and unbelievable they're graduating class and I guarantee you there's people in there that are going to do on credible things but the number twelve thousand nine hundred thirteen degrees and certificates it's the largest ever graduating class virtual commencement of course and I I just wish I could take all your hands I wish I could go right down the line and say congratulations I myself am a college graduate I know the work that goes into that whether it's all nighters or putting up with roommate that doesn't exactly live life the way you do it's High Street it's parties it's everything they go into the education and learning your experience over four or five years whatever it took but just a hearty congratulations because it's a huge achievement interesting too I was just talking with my wife about this the other night funny how when a student graduates high school there's like this party and it's family and friends and there's food in the celebration and you know for some people it's envelopes with checks and all that college doesn't seem to be that big a deal on that level you don't have that kind of party I'm not sure why that is I feel like college on a lot of levels is a bigger achievement because you kind of honed in on what you want to do with your life's work and you've gotten even meet your education in that but to the twelve thousand nine hundred thirteen who graduated from Ohio state and main broadly across central Ohio all you college grads I know the job environment right now maybe not as rosy as you would like it to be but hang in there you'll find your way you'll land in the spots and is my grandpa and my dad told me when you find what you love to do you never go to work a day in your life so I wish that for you and I congratulate you on what for many is herculean effort to to get by all those professors who are NIT picky and ones who are encouraging I just hope that your days continue to brighten with that college diploma on the wall so congratulations and well done from all of us here at newsradio six ten W. T. V. N. seven ten on the live line right now one of our faves Liz peek Liz if I were to sit down and write all the places that you contribute to on a weekly basis how long is that list never long enough nice to join this morning never long enough I I feel like you you never sleep you're always at work doing something well this is a great time to be working right I mean if you're not to be able to work remotely and from home there are no distractions your house is different than mine my house is full of distractions well there's that there's that is a distraction I must say if we were going through this but it was February I think I'd be ready to jump out the window this is beautiful time and you know I honestly kind of slowing your calendar down which obviously ours has done enormously everyone's has so you're not raising from one place to another constantly and trying to keep up with six meetings today and stuff in some ways I mean it's a very very thoughtful time a time when you can enjoy a family in a way that may be a lot of us haven't had a chance to do recently so it is a horrible time and I and I know there are so many people suffering in so many ways if you're lucky enough to get through it it's been a kind of a weird time out so and and to your point about all these kids I I can't imagine it's really sad that people are having graduations are not having problems in high school and everything but really that the difficulty of getting out of college how are you going to interview for a job how are you going to get a job I don't know I mean this is like two thousand seven eight nine when an entire cohort of kids coming out of school really didn't know what to do next and it was pretty difficult yeah well I tell you there's a group of people other ever positioned well to do things virtually I'd say this group is probably the best on record I mean you know you can do the stuff I mean I even take your pick your platform there's all kinds of ways to meet and interact online I know my son you know growing up I mean all he needs all his buddies playing video games so I think they're they're somewhat condition for that like you can interactive ritually so why not the job interview process and and and certainly a lot of employers do go online find candidates and so forth still if this is you know people are being laid off by the tens of millions so it's not a great time to be looking for a job so my sympathy and and echo your message congratulations to kids getting out of school and hang in there because you'll have an opportunity I hope three four months from now things are a little bit back to normal these are definitely come and so will your expertise the world of politics I'm I'm curious your thoughts on Joe Biden this morning you have this sexual misconduct allegation out there he has addressed it and then on the heels of that over the weekend he put out his list of potential running mates and it's a very female heavy well he has promised to have a female vice president and so when people were talking about Andrew Cuomo stepping into that role I thought that was sort of silly I don't think Biden can backtrack on this looked at the allegations by Tara Reid did more than anything to highlight the hypocrisy of the me too movement and Democrats say Christian telebrands who are have been vicious about obviously Brett Kavanaugh but also all men all students met male students on college campuses who have been accused of rape theirs is a black and white vision until apparently comes to Joe Biden so what do we know about this allegation it's not provable and I think that is always a problem with these situations what Democrats have done Israeli Rancho by Nancy I trusted I know and I trust him well a lot of the country is looking at Joe Biden's history of being accused by many many women of making them uncomfortable with inappropriate touching and hugging and kissing and somehow that doesn't really lead to an elevated level of trust in my view I mean that kind of makes these charges more credible not less credible but in any case until unless there is another person who comes forward with a similar story or similar accusations were worried this will pass for Joe Biden and it's far enough away from the election that I don't think it'll be a really tremendous issue in the election the issues in the election going forward but by the way the reason obviously that the vice presidential spot is so incredibly important is because of Joe Biden's age if he wins he'll be seventy eight upon taking office and there's every indication almost every time he makes a public appearance at his cognitive capabilities are in decline and I don't think they can cover that up and hide that for months up to the election but they're doing a good job of at the moment kind of keeping him off keeping them on the sidelines and sadly that's not working for him I mean as I say sadly because I think it is an unfortunate position to be in that people don't really want you out there communicating freely with the American people because they know that you can stumble but we can't collect somebody in that position I don't think speculation that to Joe might pick Hillary Clinton and then step aside I mean is there any shred of possibility and that all is well I wrote a couple so I obviously but there was the here's why you might give that some credibility Hillary Clinton is without a doubt ready eager and willing to step out there and be the vice presidential candidate I think you know everything she's done in the last two or three years indicates he wants another bite at the apple whether Democrats want her in that role different story but if they decide that Joe Biden really cannot be that candidate but it because a Bernie Sanders they kind of have to do this little dance where something strange happens and someone else steps in Hillary Clinton really is the only person who could do that she has still an enormous team behind her enormous name recognition of course and by the way for all that she's incredibly polarizing and not very popular with large segments of the population there is a group all the people who voted for in two thousand sixteen winning the popular vote as you know who really think that she was cheated out of her win so you know I I it is sort of a zany idea to be sure but I think Democrats are probably coming up with all kinds of exit strategies at this point that could be one of them yeah Liz peek our guests also to lose you know well because he got down to a two horse race between Biden and Bernie Sanders there's a report this morning I think it was some of polling from USA today that said about a quarter of Bernie supporters say they probably wouldn't vote for Joe Biden that's got to be a little tough to admit that's a very big problem and that that is something that is going to persist no matter what and now Elizabeth Warren would be someone who might attract some of those voters although president trump in a pretty good job of scouring Bernie Sanders supporters on Elizabeth Warren by pointing out rightly that had she stepped out Bernie Sanders would have won the nomination and that is a fact so they're particularly in terms of policy if people really do vote on policy Elizabeth Warren is as close as you can get to Bernie Sanders I think but it looked they they also have said Bernie Sanders group has also said fifty one percent of them that they would consider voting for a third party candidate so watch those third party candidates I mean Justin Amash probably isn't the guy they'll vote for but if there's anybody who who jumps on to a third party rail in addition they also are going to cause trouble for Joe Biden yeah no doubt is always a pleasure we appreciate the time it's Liz peek on newsradio six ten W. T. V. N. just about a minute we're gonna update traffic and weather for your beautiful sunshine in the city right now so we'll get a bird's eye on that right now though let's get a big picture view what's going on the latest here's ABC news the country's states allowing businesses to reopen their doors in Ohio governor Mike DeWine backed down from his mandatory mask order but in New York governor Andrew Cuomo did not that led to a police officer cation over the weekend that was caught on cell phone video A. B. C.'s Candace McAllen has more from Manhattan a third of all officers.

"It's a given the dean and divide I had an ominous granny so as we start the trading of bombs this week as December dons an equal parts of hope and fear use a rising so it's a real juxtaposition in terms of that China data better than we expected we are rocking to was December the fifteenth I'm getting closer to a trade deal rob a bank says no matter what happens over the next couple of weeks next year the fed is gonna be biased into rate cuts and you're gonna see use dropped back to one percent likewise admitting standard life state does matter if you get a five hundred thousand jobs number real report this week is not going to budge the fact yeah Brent crude is the other standout the cross out the classes as we speak pushing about one point two percent higher this is partially yes on optimism around trade but more importantly the Iraqi energy minister coming out and saying that now cuts could be on the table when these key parties deliberate NBN over the coming few days RV scenes just put out a note hilly Mycroft writing that the consensus is that the going to roll this over for another six months one point two million barrels a day but she also warned the current price levels mean that there's going to be quiet a bit over rumblings going on in the OPEC plus group specially with the social unrest missing in Iran and Iraq let's get to some of the other will corners of the market with two it's only in Singapore and to be the kana in Mumbai Juliet good morning what's the latest well it certainly saying a risk on stock to the final trading mom the all of the yeah Yusef and of course that is on the back all that time I seen him my number coming through it being and by better than expected and of course that came through after the official gauge on the weekend to you got agents outside by around half of one percent as ready and they're closing out the session at a record and watching the Korean one which was tracking a little bit stronger pretty flat now but we did see export data showing a twelfth straight month of contraction in South Korea and NY is zero percent CPI really underscoring the slack in the overall Korean economy yields on the New Zealand Taney also taking high about about six basis points the New Zealand treasury today saying growth is likely to be below budget full cost but the GDP growth could be leveling off following a sustained period of slowing menace Joe thank you very much it is Ali rounded up the Asian action it's got to do V. not today no we just had a little bit of fat PMI action from India manufactured a fifty one point two so that's a nice beat that's gonna help markets this morning what is so far not so minus the we've got done absolutely flat marketing this is actually coming in the back of the GDP numbers at two twenty six what a little four point five percent of that bordered on Friday evening see all seeing some better with a sentimental impact on the back of those numbers as well full of the nifty aside from that on Friday session was the monthly close for the month November which ended in the positive battery so that was probably a one silver lining that Mustang plan the stuff making it for this for this move on the next to continue for doesn't break below twelve thousand on the nifty one thousand forty eight is what you've got in the nifty fifty fifty bank of the banking in this is looking weak this morning about how often a person given up and you've got a key private bank HDFC limited HDFC bank SBI which contributed to the downside for the nifty bank as well watch out for the day because the telecom companies on the back of the status hike so all of them are active so party lines as well as of what a fun idea all of them are often about entry today yes it aligning if your along with some of those traits of course thank you for the round up to the it's only there as well let's check in on the first for the headlines for you from around the world get out to animals rulers good morning at about twenty Yousef will Boris Johnson will pay the Conservative Party is a champion of Lauren order this week as London recovers from a terror attack that killed two people the trust cities because the shadow of the election campaign in a stress security into the spotlight as a debating topic the prime minister says he's determined to tighten a little and blamed his opponent's for previous legislative mistakes since coming to office in in the last three four months is it I think this whole system of automatic early release two fourteen by that it was on the and it was on the values.

"To handle on the law boy that's not a good start okay hello all right we've done that already what can I do for you so I got a question yes Sir this guy a let me go all right she told me money I I asked to get paid he ignored me sort follow claim against him and your bureau of industrial fair right that's my claim they reach out to him they asked me to come in for like a mediation and they seem to want to talk me into we settlement for jobs what was originally old when others thousands of dollars involved in penalties right well I mean theoretically there yeah I don't know many thousands of dollars how long has it been from the time he you the money when should you have gotten paid and how long is that our time lax happened all the all of our time lapse of up to thirty days no I understand how long how long has it been it's been more okay how many lines I I don't think there I don't think there is what what and how much money are you owed well according to them the penalties capped off at six thousand dollars all right and they're and they're saying they want to they're not gonna give you the six thousand they just want you to get except the money that was owed you correct well they haven't said that but they're kind of like trying to talk me into taking a settlement of a couple hundred Bucks a few hundred Bucks when I'm trying to push you know so roll you say no more say no one hearing that's all it's easy so one disorder where when I why am I able to represent myself yeah absolutely absolutely all right yeah no problem your the money there is there's a statute here's what they're doing they don't want to deal with it they want you out of there their job is to minimize their work or if they have a huge backlog let's give them the benefit of the doubt okay and say they're willing to work their **** off there is such a backlog that there's no way they can get to everybody eight for example plea agreements when you're dealing with the district attorney if everybody went to trial that wouldn't backlog would grind to a stop he would just hold everything I mean the whole justice system which is crying to be over and so the same thing would happen here so you don't have to accept it just say no I want hearing this the mediation is what this is yeah yeah I know you can say no thank you I'm old a lot more money than that and I'd rather I'd rather go to a hearing and take my chances or what is it yeah over the over the weekend I received by certified mail but I didn't sign for it the postman left a letter in front of my building FMI address address to me is a check from a former employer for the amount that was originally old along with a letter that says accept this as as a payment for that amount old but this has not this has no bearing on your claim for further except the money you can accept that money sure as long as you don't waive your right to go into a hearing so how much money how much money is do you by the way role six thousand okay and they're willing to pay six thousand well it's what was it not not no heels heels me up back just under three hundred dollars okay well I can imagine that is going to use the six thousand dollars in penalties over the last three four months yes well they allow only thirty days of penalties to be approved at that point capital of Seoul figure was it okay we we might so in thirty days your two hundred dollars and it jumps to six thousand dollars and thirty days correct wow I didn't know that world that's all yeah that's a lot of money so you can accept the two hundred Bucks if you still want the hearing for the rest of it so there's nothing wrong with that I had no idea how twenty two hundred dollars turns into six thousand dollars thirty days later earn a you know just doesn't seem right to me just maybe I'm wrong on that one side as if I've been never been wrong in the past hello ray yeah yes Sir what can I do for you thank you so much I work for a company years and I was a ten ninety nine and I found out through other sources that I really should not be in a ten ninety nine because they tell me what to do I have certain duties to perform I couldn't work for anybody else yeah right okay so you so you met the qualifications as an employee that's what I think of calling you well it's okay let's go through it they control your time that you were at work correct yes okay they controlled what you were supposed to do they told you what you're supposed to do correct yeah yeah and they gave you whatever equipment was necessary to do the job well that's a cell phone in her lap computer all right in did you haven't did you go to an office are we able to do it at home I work at home okay in your hours were your hours correct more or less okay yeah that's it that's iffy that's iffy and they're gonna argue because by you you could work for anybody else did you have a contract that said you couldn't work for anybody else I don't remember actual contract saying a saying that all right well I do you don't want to call the labor people or actually is only for people no I think it's a franchise tax board are they going to call state of California and see if in fact you should have been an employee because they're a bunch of bunch of rules and you meet some of them and you don't meet others and at some point there's a tipping point and I don't know if you met that tipping point or not if you have the franchise tax we're gonna go nuts against these people okay and then would that mean no I would get some money back I don't know I don't think so not necessarily you would not probably for they would be forced to pay into social security and have to pay into governmental into the governmental programs but I didn't point in that sort of thing what but nothing too major I don't think so I don't think so all right but give it a shot yeah because a you here's your money you get you pay your taxes and got you have withholding yeah maybe maybe there's a common assumption about identity theft a lot of people believe it's just credit card fraud the credit card fraud is not the only form.

just maybe I'm wrong on that one side as if I've been have been wrong in the past hello ray yeah yes Sir we're gonna do for you thank you so much I'm sorry work with our company years and I was a ten ninety nine I am I found out through other sources that I really should have been a ten ninety nine because they tell me what to do I have certain duties to perform I couldn't work for anybody else yeah right okay so you so you met the qualifications as an employee that's what I think of calling you well it's okay let's go through it they control your time that you were at work correct yes okay they controlled what you were supposed to do they told you what you're supposed to do correct yeah and they gave you whatever equipment was necessary to do the job well that's a cell phone in her lap computer all right in did you haven't did you go to an office are we able to do it at home I worked at home okay in your hours were your hours correct more or less okay yeah that's it that's iffy that's iffy and they're gonna argue because by you you could work for anybody else did you have a contract that said you couldn't work for anybody else I don't remember actual contract saying a saying that all right well I do you don't want to call the labor people or actually use it only for people no I think it's a franchise tax board are they going to call state of California and see if it fact you should have been an employee because they're a bunch of bunch of rules and you meet some of them and you don't meet others and at some point there's a tipping point and I don't know if you met that tipping point or not not if you have the franchise tax we're gonna go nuts against these people okay and then what that means no I would get some money back I don't know I don't think so not necessarily you would not probably for they would be forced to pay into social security and have to pay into governmental into the governmental programs but I didn't ointment and that sort of thing what but nothing too major I don't think so I don't think so all right but give it a shot yeah because a you here's your money you get you pay your taxes and got you have withholding yeah maybe maybe there's a common assumption about identity theft a lot of people believe it's just credit card fraud the credit card fraud is not the only form of identity theft now if you're helping protect your identity by monitoring your credit when checking your bank statements you're missing some forms of identity theft and that affect a lot of them people using your social security number or someone changing your address to the errors good thing there's a LifeLock LifeLock uses proprietary technology to detect and alert you to a wide range of identity threats and if you.

"To handle on the law boy that's not a good start yes okay hello all right we've done that already what can I do for you so I got a question yes Sir this guy a let me go all right she told me money I I asked to get paid he ignored me saw file the claim against him and your bureau of industrial fair right since my claim they reach out to him they asked me to come in for like a mediation and they seem to want to talk me into we settlement for jobs what was originally old when others thousands of dollars involved in penalties right well I mean theoretically there yeah I don't know many thousands of dollars how long is it be an art from the time he owed you the money when should you have gotten paid and how long is that our time lax happened all the all of our time lapse of up to thirty days no I understand how long how long has it been it's been more okay how many lines I I don't think there I don't think there is what what and how much money are you owed well according to them the penalties capped off at six thousand dollars all right and that and they're saying they want to they're not gonna give you the six thousand they just want you to accept the money that was owed you correct well they haven't said that but they're kind of like trying to talk me into taking a settlement of a couple hundred Bucks a few hundred Bucks when I'm trying to push to say no so roll you say no more say no one hearing that's all it's easy so one before what what I what I am able to represent myself yeah absolutely absolutely all right yeah no problem your the money there is there is a statute here's what they're doing they don't want to deal with it they want you out of there their job is to minimize their work or if they have a huge backlog let's give them the benefit of the doubt okay and say they're willing to work their **** off there is such a backlog that there's no way they can get to everybody for example plea agreements when you're dealing with the district attorney if everybody went to trial that would backlog would grind to a stop it would just hold everything I mean the whole justice system which is crying to be over and so the same thing would happen here so you don't have to accept it just say no I want hearing this the mediation is what this is yeah yeah I know you can say no thank you I'm old a lot more money than that night rather I'd rather go to a hearing and take my chances or what is it yeah over the over the weekend I received by certified mail but I didn't sign for it the porcelain left a letter in front of my building at at amp and my address address to me is a check from a former employer for the amount that was originally old along with a letter that says accept this as as a payment for that amount old but this has not this has no bearing on your claim for further except the money you can accept that money sure as long as you don't waive your right to go into a hearing so how much money how much money is do you by the way role six thousand okay and they're willing to pay six thousand well it's what was it not not no heels heels me just under three hundred dollars okay well I can imagine that is going to use the six thousand dollars in penalties over the last three four months yes well they allow only thirty days of penalties to be approved at that point capital of Seoul figure was it okay we we might so in thirty days your two hundred dollars and it jumps to six thousand dollars in thirty days correct wow I didn't know that world that's all yeah that's a lot of money so you can accept the two hundred Bucks if you still want the hearing for the rest of it so there's nothing wrong with that I had no idea how to hundred dollars turns into six thousand dollars thirty days later earn a you know just "Is here right now so which song writers have like that the connection to go the trust so much to go either have a song that you're gonna love or have an idea you're gonna love they can hit you personally I'm Natalie and Luke are two of those and Shane Mack an alley I didn't out with him for this record because he's busy and doing awesome things in Hollywood but I definitely have been like lord and by some of his ideas were held like Hey here's one like how it back on was one of those that's Lou Natalie chain so those three know how to get me definitely so with with a lot of the songwriters like how far out do they have to book a right with you because schedules with your at your touring obviously in your promotion so it's not like you have a bunch of days the I got a whole month to write like they have to hop on three four months out well when I was run for this one I was off the road so it was a lot more flexible it was like Hey we're over here tomorrow to want to come yeah and that's the beauty of Nashville like everybody's kind of hanging out town doing their thing and even if they have a route that morning they're so fill in and the like Hey went forward and I do not write in but yeah when you're on the road I don't really write on the road anymore it's it's a lot you know I used to I used to have to because I was alert all the time but it's two different sides of my brain like two different parts of the business I feel like I was watching you I think on Instagram a couple weeks ago and you know you I guess my question why do you have a beef with beach balls so much because I I your eyes I know they get so angry because first of all like the last time I had a problem before I was in in Pennsylvania at the Allentown state fair laws like well there's no beach close not even a grain of second and I'll be doing up I was literally starting over you and here comes the baseball find at my face and then the whole crowd looking at the respondents there like a heartfelt ballad it in where it started was on the cage as a tour in two thousand nine because I was doing more like her which is like a again like a deep whatever I was set on a still on the stage and a beach ball someone like that a volley ball spike like with this giant ball and hit them I can hit my live in Basra Molly Valvoline and I liked I'm done so started carrying a knife on state on the drum riser so now I have like a pink little razor blade just in case do you feel though that sometimes they do this now because they want the the treat of having Maranda pop their beach ball now because then they're like you're so violent you're not any fun and I wish you wouldn't be so a buzz kill Mike but I don't have a song about anything about water like not even not even as steel drum anywhere well I understand but it's just weird I don't like it I'm also amazed that your people don't shut the beach ball down for you and they may be doing it now more so than you don't even they are they track but there's always one that speaks through which is fine for me I gets take out a little Rajan but people like it's rude.

"To add my consumer team dot com all right from as good as new finishes came into the studios tonight and that we're very proud of a role in everything he's doing here in Houston course as good as new builds the hurricane resistant fence that stands up to the heavy heavy duty wins the we get here in Texas object we have photographic proof of how strong these fences are on the website my consumer team dot com check out the blog section and the story we wrote there's a picture of it as good as new fans of surviving an eighty mile an hour straight line wind at any rate all right joins us tonight on key tear each year welcome talk to us well let's start with the difference between the fences that you see throughout Houston and what you build and that is their hurricane resistant fence welcome well I'm glad you asked Pete and and first what you have to ask yourself is do you want a fence is only going to last three to five years or do you want a fence is going to last a lifetime if the response is if you want a fence is going to last a lifetime you've got to do things a little bit different and that little bit different that we do goes into every facet we build every single facet we build is our hurricane resistant fence we don't build a hurricane resistant fence and then a temporary fence also if you get in as good as new fence is going to be a high quality hurricane resistant fence now what that looks like is we only use galvanized metal post we don't do would post simply because metal post they're not going to rot obviously and galvanize so they're not going to rust it's a lifetime post we surround that with high quality cement each panel of our fans comes with three cross rails not just to which is what most contractors do in we only use western red cedar fence pickets we don't use pressure treated pine incense cedar only use western red cedar tickets does three things combined is what creates a high quality lifetime fence and that's why we're able to guarantee it for lifetime you can use the best cement and and a lot of you know I get a lot of these things are you don't see but I know you're very selective about the the the cement the you put the of the post into sure you made up of verbal note were a little while ago about being able to see a high quality fence and that's true but sometimes it's not true sometimes it's what you don't right right that creates a quality finance and it's what you don't see that could create problems for you long term if you're not standing outside when every single holes being dug and you don't know how deep the holes being dug and you don't know what type of some it's going in the hole I could technically build two fences one side by side to the other and at a glance you would be able to tell them apart one of them would be built the way that we build them and then the other will be built short cutting now you would realize it over time which one had been short cut it on but just at a glance would be hard to do you are have a some really neat specials I know prepared for our listeners today I'm both a new fence installation and also fence maintenance so maybe let's start with the new found somebody who wants a new fence now is the time to call as good as new and why is that what is that special well now is a great time to call for multiple reasons right now oil prices are a little bit lower than they are typically throughout earlier times in the year that having been been say it I can do it at a little bit less price than what I would do it say back in August or September so from a pricing standpoint now is a great time to call also as an incentive to call me I'm going to do something special for you if you buy a new fence from us right now we're going to take ten percent off the price that we quote right now which again remember it's going to be lower than it was three four months ago we're gonna take ten percent off of that up to five hundred dollars it's a great special so anybody who's in the market for a new fence before seven o'clock is the time to call right now here on the consumer team now we have people listening to us that is saying you know why my fence is okay but insisted they need some maintenance talk about the main and special if you would sure if it looks okay and it's and are pretty good repair we want to keep it looking that way because we don't want you to have to rip replace it until you absolutely positively have to replace it and if you maintain it the way that you should you'll probably get good longevity from it so for those of you that have a wood fence that dog can be restored we've got something for you as well we'll do what we call an acid wash and staying on it which you get it looking like a new fans so get it protected from the environment and then will also do a maintenance package on it as well that consist of adjusting the gate so that they open close and latch replace and some of the broke on warped pickets and just going around and re screw and re nail and everything so that it's nice and secure and and tight for you and what we're gonna do for you is by a clean and stain from us and we're going to give you that fits maintenance free of charge that's a two hundred fifty dollar value Pete is what we normally charge for what we're going to give it away today free all right as good as new fence our guest on the consumer team tonight two specials and.
