A week and environmentalists are concerned that it's incredibly wasteful and bad for the climate and they say that amazon shipping packages create a lot of ways from the discarded cardboard but not if they destroy the packages shipped checkmate enviros story. So much. because it's almost like it's like a threat that you need to buy. These things by the package gets it. We would have raw the destroyer macbook. Then give it to a charity would rather burn. This is one of those stories those like that kind of will have. What did you think they would doing kind of guy. Canadian and four dollars and forty nine cents a month australian which suggests i think what a two dollars ninety nine cents a month price point for when it comes to the us although twitter did not say today when that might actually happen quoting cnbc. Twitter blue users will an undue tweet feature that allows them to set customizable timer of up to thirty seconds to take back a tweet if it needs to be fixed. The feature is not quite an edit button often requested by users but it will allow subscribers to preview what their tweets look like an adjust them before they're published other features include bookmark folders so users can organize tweets. They save a reader mode. That makes it easier to read. Tesla Seems to Be Stripping Software Features
"Everybody rob mauer here. Welcome back to tesla daily after. Hopefully a nice long weekend for many of you. I hope everybody made it through lumbar gate yesterday without tussle daily episode. If you're not sure what. I'm talking about yet with that. Will of course be discussing that in this episode. We also have updates on tusla's move to pure vision. Some i reports on how that's going a minor postponement of the platte model s. delivery event couple product updates tesla's interest in the restaurant business and a couple other stories as well. Somehow we are already now. In june tesla stocks. Starting off the last month of q down zero point two percent pretty quiet on the day to six hundred twenty. Three dollars ninety cents. That compare to the nasdaq also down slightly one tenth of a percent. We'll start off here just quickly on the lumbar support topic. This caused quite a bit of stir this weekend as somebody unread. It took delivery of a new model y and notice that on the passenger seat. The lumbar support control had been removed. So that's the area of the seat that would support your lower back. Previously could move that upper down. Inter out and tesla has decided to remove that from the new model three and model. Why again for the passenger seat. Only driver seat still has the control so understandably pretty disappointing for a customer to have to find that someone was expressing disappointment on this on twitter. Saying they don't like the direction tesla's going raising prices of vehicles but removing features like lamar for the monterey on top of rumors of fasd increased to fourteen thousand dollars without any real added features do fasd. Unless you're a beta tester. You lana plant that saying quote moving. Lamar was removed only in front passenger seat of three slash. Obviously not there. In rear seats log showed almost no usage not worth cost slash mass for everyone when almost never used prices increasing due to major supply chain price pressure industry-wide raw materials especially and

Tesla’s Demand Is Through the Roof
"That's the stock. After popping up in the pre market from the story this morning did fade throughout the day. Finishing down one point one percent to six hundred and sixty three dollars fifty four cents that compared to the nasdaq which recovered to end the day. Finishing up four tenths of a percent as getting into the electric story. This was published about three hours before market open today. Article headline reads tesla's demand is through the roof already. Sold out this quarter. Electric rates quote tesla's currently seeing exponentially strong demand for its vehicles as it is already sold out for the quarter according to sources familiar with the matter and quote expanding on that they also right that quote sources familiar with the matter told electric that tessa communicated to employees that production capacity for the second quarter is already sold out with still almost two months left in the quarter and quote. This would follow. Elon musk's comment on the qn earnings call at the beginning of last week. Where he said demand is the best they've ever seen now. It's not really unusual for tesla to be quote unquote sold out for a quarter. I would say happens. Most quarters in fact but generally that happens in waves in accordance with how tesla decides to you. Prioritize shipments of vehicle for example were five weeks into the quarter. At this point in time it would be pretty typical for maybe international deliveries to be sold out as tessa would be prioritizing and be production of for overseas markets so they have time to ship it deliver it within the same quarter then a few weeks after that we might predominantly see the east coast being sold out and tesla just prioritizing production for delivery in california where that surround time is the fastest selling out for an individual quarter. Wouldn't be anything new but to do it at this point in the quarter again just five weeks in would seem to be. I don't know probably the earliest. We've seen that happen in the last couple of years. Oftentimes and past quarters. We've also seen tesla offer a small quarter and incentive to make sure that people either take delivery when they're scheduled or as a way of balancing demand in a specific location because tussle authorship vehicles before they actually have orders in anticipation of demand in that location. But of course you can never forecast those things perfectly so some of those quarter and incentives can help bounce those out notably. I didn't see any indication of doing anything like that in key. General Tom Thumb: Not a Colonel of Truth
"Life started out. Pretty normal for charles sherwood stratton when he was born to a housekeeper and a carpenter in eighteen thirty eight in connecticut pretty normal ended when he was six months old as did his growth he basically just stopped growing. He was otherwise healthy. In doctors were stumped normal ended completely in the winter of eighteen. Forty two when one finneas taylor. Barnum showed up at his family's home chasing rumors of an extraordinarily small child. Four year old. Charlie list now in show business earning his family three dollars a week. Barnum immediately began promoting his tiny talent. When charlie and his mother arrived the following week to new york. They were surprised to see banners on the american museum bragging about the arrival of general tom thumb in typical barnum style. He had taken absolutely wild liberties with the truth. He took the name. Tom thumb from an english fairy tale character. Basically thumbed lena posters and handbills claiming that general tom thumb had been brought to america from europe at great expense and that he was eleven years old not sure how that jibes military service and eleven year old and it was nice that he aged him up to eleven. We wouldn't want people to think that he was exploiting a small child. I don't kid yourself. This is pre child. Labor laws are really any labor laws. There was no such thing as a cultural concept of exploitation. Charlie and his mother moved into an apartment in the museum building and barnum said about teaching charlie to sing dance and do impressions and act. Like a preteen. Instead of a preschooler i guess. Barnum recalled him as an apt student with a great deal of native talent and a keen sense of ludicrous. By all accounts young charlie stratton loved performing and he and barnum were genuinely fond of one. Another
Goldman Sachs way off in PC expectations, consumer and commercial sales up
"There's misreading the numbers then. There's yesterday's note from goldman sachs analyst rod hall. He and his missed expectations in the december quarter by a lot missing march. Twenty twenty four missing in june. Okay missing in september fine but the amount he missed nine months into the pandemic look. I'm not saying i could do it. But i'm also not getting paid. Who knows how many tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars to do it. Apple's read auto in part of a note whole wrote according to his firm's data. Pc shipments for the december quarter hit eighty nine point seven million units up twenty six percent year on year beating the bank's expectation by twenty one percent consumer side sales. Were up twenty. Seven percent beating their expectation by eighteen commercial. Sales were up. Twenty five percent beating their expectation by twenty four percent while he's apparently good at being wrong about computers. in general. We've come to know hall over the past couple of years for being wrong about apple in particular. Didn't used to be that way. Not sure what changed whatever it was. He doesn't appear to be changing back quoting his note. Apple rose thirty five percent year on year. End up with the sheriff fifteen percent up. One percentage point year-on-year that we note that. I'm wanting max where likely in short supply in the corridor. Quoting another part of his note. Hp lost share due to supply constraints while apple grew slightly faster than the market driven. In part by. Its new am one. Max looking ahead. We expect this general p strength to persist in the first half but we can in the second half driven by reopening as well as tougher compares to be fair hall said basically the same thing in a note back in december still do atypically typically apple three dot did not list halls rating and price target on apple shares. The last mentioned the boat was in the wake of apple's last call when hall stuck to his cell rating on apple shares. He did up as priced at that time. Though from eighty dollars to eighty three dollars since then shares have gotten as high as one hundred thirty seven dollars though. They've spent most of their time in the one hundred. Twenty something dollar range.

"Announced its chief. Customer officer is leading the company. Twenty twenty this is yet another major move after activists investor ryan. Cohen joined the board of the company back in january. It's also been the focus of a short squeeze. Shares today are around one hundred and eighty five dollars each remember that shares back in january were up at four hundred eighty three dollars of an intraday high on january twenty eighth. It's been quite a run for game. Stop and analysts are saying that the stock is trading detached from fundamentals
Billy Gene on Increasing Your Traffic
"Jean maman. My i've got some stories i could tell about. You might come organically during our talk today. We'll see they're all good stories. Obviously they're all fun stories. But i wanna start because i love your story. I never get tired of hearing about it. But how you you. At one point. Fifty km debt. We're supposed to be honest. It's not super abnormal. I mean we have this. Massive college data. We get into credit card debt. We do stupid things all over the place but you went for fifty k. In debt running this wildly successful agency in downtown san diego. I've been to your office multiple times. I mean baller talked to us about how you made that transition on his the virus. Summarize it for everybody is number one just on the the mindset of asking for help period like no no one figured that out by themselves and so many times people think that's the case but tactically speaking because i'm tactics guy audience listening. They want the juice. It's got really good at its spending a dollar and tony into three period. I mean at the end of the day. Mike quote unquote secret weapon. It's just advertising. And you know who i got up from the most profitable companies in the world when you look at the balance sheet of All the fortune one thousand companies. The apple is the facebook the insurance companies the walmarts etc. What people don't realize that you see is not just the billions of dollars in sales. They spend billions of dollars in advertising. But when you go to small businesses the first thing you say is how customers. What did he say referrals. Every time. and it's just like the the most successful companies in the world legally have to tell you exactly how they're doing but we don't do it for a long time. it was. Low stuff was expensive right. Tv radio billboards. It just didn't make sense for a small business. But i mean honestly facebook youtube. It cost one to ten cents. You know to show somebody in advertisement one to ten cents e- you can show for five to fifteen bucks a thousand people your message. That was my big secret. So if i had something to so i would just literally make video ad with myself on an ask people to buy it and that's it i would just make more than spend so if i if i sold something. That was a thousand bucks. I'd probably spend two hundred bucks in advertising. And i just repeat the process over and over again so wildly. Simple like what we do. It's crazy but the difference is is. I was able to overcome the fear of losing money on ads. That's what stops people. they go. Well what if. I spend one hundred bucks on fire and it doesn't get a return then you try again. It doesn't make it not the path anymore. It just means you miss you get back up and you try it again until you find something that works and you keep repeating it now. You've had a lot of things that have worked over the years. You've had some things that happens but when you talk about that arbitrage of turning one dollar to three dollars you've obviously had a lot of those and there's a lot of examples you could give but you know. I just want one of your favorites like you know. This is almost too easy now. Of course all good things come to an end all arbitrage get tighter and close up over time of course but what was just one year like. This is almost too good to be true. I'm going to max out as long as i can. I mean there's been a fun one for everybody listened to because they probably won't think it's possible as take billboards for example. So i purchased billboards and a lot of people go why billboard like people don't spend money off of that and this is where people really have to get obsessed with it's about being created so quick story in san diego california. I bought four billboards. That cost me thirty. Six thousand bucks. And i ran a ma and that was for three and a half weeks. Just let that sink in thirty six grand for three weeks from frigging billboards that people drive by and so then people go like. How do you make money from him. Well what i did is. I made a call to action on it to go to a website and it was an automatic webinar. The same way that i would do facebook or instagram or youtube anyway and i was just like i wonder if anybody will obtain i wonder if anybody watch and they did and it made like ten thousand dollars back because what i was selling a thousand bucks so immediately people say okay. You lost money billy. Lost twenty. six thousand bucks maintains man. That's stupid. well. What i did is people for some reason. Give a lot of authority in position to billboards because they know they're expensive. And the companies that are doing. Billboards are the biggest companies in the world. Automatically think your official. I mean i still think of pete knows that guy will always be the real estate guy in san diego one hundred and so take that right. So what i did is i said okay. Well we're going to take. We rented a helicopter and we flew around. We went to helicopters and we flew around me and my cmo at the time and a helicopter. And my buddy paul filming from the other helicopter and we flew over all the billboards and we flew over all the billboards and we turn that into a facebook ad and then from that advertisement we brought in probably like a million bucks like throughout throughout using it over arbitrage being the. Yeah so it's just like how can you use. It wasn't just three weeks like you're able to use that footage forever the pictures of you in front of the billboard forever even today literally putting it up ironically today using that same clip of the helicopter and so people you got to start looking at your content as an asset the same way you do real estate people go. It's a real estate investment. And i can make money off of that again and again again. Same with your video. What's the difference. I'll tell you what the difference is videos. Cheaper video was easier to make. And you don't need to go through escrow so everybody if you're not using videos as is cash asset you're
Project Sealab 1 Summary Report - Part 1
"Way back in the nineteen sixties when i was growing up most of us were intently focused on the space race in one thousand nine hundred sixty four. The united states was making the transition from the mercury program to the gemini program and there really wasn't allowed manned spaceflight going on that year but there was another amazing exploration going on in interspace natwest project lab. One well i didn't know a great deal about c. lab until i started doing some research for the segment. I did hear on the show about scott carpenter. I did read. Ben held hells worst book about c. lab and that gave me a really good understanding of the magnitude of the entire c. Lab project both one two and three. And as i was doing more research i came across a report from the office of navel research. And it's the project sea labs summary report so today. I wanna start two part series on this report in part one today. I'll take you through the report up until the c. Lab one habitat is placed in position and then in part to a couple of weeks from now will review the mission some of the findings and conclusions by the project sea labs. Some report is subtitled. An experimental eleven day undersea saturation dive at one. Hundred and ninety three feet and report is dated june fourteenth nineteen sixty five for anyone looking for the report you might want to search on n r report. Ac are one zero eight. It's not that long to sixty two pages now. The copy. I got had a stamp on the cover. Then indicated. hard copies of the report would cost three dollars while microfiche would be seventy five cents and the copy was also stamped. Archived copy of this report are ha o.'neil from the office of navel research. Gif bond captain united states navy from the united states naval medical research. Laboratory are eland. Fear lieutenant commander. Us n. office of navel research and t odum of the mind defense laboratory in the preface pen by rear admiral. Leighton he says project sea lab one was the navy's first step into space. He also states that this report is being published by the navy so that all may share the information it is interesting to note that the background section of the report the authors do reference the work being done by captain shot cousteau and mr edwin a link and that was on their man in the sea concept they they stated indeed. The navy seems to be left at the post by the well-publicized efforts of captain cousteau and mr link. So it sounds like there's a little bit of sour grapes. Their report goes on to describe a december nineteen sixty three conference with the navy's bureau of ships where they obtained support for a c. lab now at that conference. They decided that the mine defense laboratory would build a habitat needed to select a location and they had five critique criteria for the selection one was the prospect of good weather too was good visibility. Three was a level bottom for was moderate water. Temperatures at depth and five was the general features of ocean graphic and marine biology biological interest. Now the site that they selected was argus island off of bermuda by march of nineteen sixty four all the appropriate approvals were obtained and they were often running and the operations were supposed to be conducted in the summer of one thousand nine hundred sixty four now. The mine defense laboratory selected an old experimental minesweeping float. Now the report has quite a few pictures and illustrations in it. Unfortunately the pictures are really not that great because of this. Pdf being produced either from a microphone. Show old old dot copiers but the stations are pretty good. Particularly the architectural drawings of c. lab won both the plan view and the cross section views by marched by may nineteen sixty four. C. lab was ready for sea trials off panama city. Florida on may twenty second nineteen sixty four. It was towed out to sea and sank uncontrolled and flooded over half full of seawater. Fortunately there were no injuries. The habitat was lifted. Towed back dried out and ready for another try on may twenty six this time with success. The previous incident was attributed to a misunderstanding of line handling waters by july. They were in bermuda and ready to sink. C. lab on july fourteenth. They again had issues because of the three to five foot swells and the yard patrol boat that they were using just wasn't powerful enough like chief brody said in jaws. I think you're gonna need a bigger boat. Well in this case. It was a crane that they took from bermuda. The reach the report details the adventure of getting c. lab on the bottom but they finally did an after getting everything hooked up and twenty four hour checkout on monday july twentieth. One thousand nine hundred sixty four at seventeen thirty five. That's five thirty five pm for you. Civilians c. lab one was manned by robert e. less anderson robert a barth sanders w manning and robert e thompson. Now what were the conditions like on c. lab interesting. The report says see lab proper dry inhabitable atmosphere satisfactory temperatures. Seventy eight degrees chilly. Water supply water not available heaters operable. Tv monitor not hooked up properly. Hot water heaters not operating refrigerator not operating co two scrubbers satisfactory. Electro writer. Satisfactory calibrated microphones not functioning. Crass burgo two meters satisfactory lights satisfactory. So you can see. There was still a lot of things that needed to be repaired. So i had to do was fixed everything that wasn't working and then complete their mission so in part to this series i'll take you through the mission the findings and conclusions from project sea lab some report of nineteen sixty five americas first journey into interspace. And that will be next time here on scuba shack
Inside Biden’s $1.9 Trillion Stimulus Bill
"Start right there with a pass of that. Covid stimulus bill in the senate on saturday night. I do need to preface this by saying it does have to pass the house again because there were some changes made by the senate so it's not passed into law just yet but we'll go for what this bill will include when it goes through the house and i'm going to try my best to sound like i'm not rattling off just a bunch of dollar amounts but there's a danger. It might sound like that but just bear with me. There might be something in there that would be useful for you. Your family someone. So for helping the unemployed it extends that three hundred dollars a week plus the state unemployment end it makes the first ten thousand two hundred dollars of that non taxable for households making less than a hundred and fifty thousand dollars it also fully funds cobra. Health insurance premiums so that employees who have been laid off can remain on their employer plan for free. There's also going to be another round of checks fourteen hundred dollars for a single taxpayer. Twenty eight hundred couples indy. Get fourteen hundred dollars per dependent now the starts to taper off at seventy five thousand for individuals or one hundred and fifty thousand dollars for couples ended completely gets phased out at eighty thousand dollars for a single tax payer and one hundred and sixty thousand dollars for a couple it gives state and local governments three hundred fifty billion dollars to cover expenses related to covid through twenty twenty four gives schools one hundred and thirty billion for k. Through twelve in forty billion dollars for colleges and that's to help them reopen safely so parents can get back to work for businesses. they'll be twenty five billion dollars going to restaurants and bars. This max out at ten million dollars per company in five million dollars per location additionally there will be seven point two five billion for the paycheck protection program once again forty. Six billion dollars will be going to state local and federal governments to help with testing and contact tracing as well as fourteen billion dollars to help speed up. The vaccine distribution for healthcare there will be financial assistance for aca affordable care act premiums and this is just looking to get the number of people covered by insurance to increase into further incentivize. The south to expand medicaid since they're sort of the holdouts town there. The republicans are blocking that there are also increases in tax breaks to parents who have kids up to three thousand dollars per kid if their age six to seventeen and thirty six hundred dollars per kid if they're under six years old and that spread out over the twelve months according to analysis this plus the fourteen hundred dollar check would cut the number of kids in poverty by more than half. In addition there's changes to the earned income tax credit for this year in extends to people without children. And if you're looking for how much that would be for low to moderate income folks. It'll be somewhere between five hundred and forty three dollars in one thousand five hundred and two dollars. Lastly in the rental and homeowner category it gives thirty billion dollars to help low income and unemployed folks afford rent and utilities and at the state level states and tribes get ten billion dollars per homeowners. So all in all. I think thing that really struck me. Was this tweet that i saw saying that. Isn't it kind of crazy. That biden asked for a one point nine trillion dollar stimulus deal and he got a one point nine trillion dollar stimulus deal like i think that makes biden a pretty good politician. One of the main criticisms of obama was at he started out by compromising with republicans and gave them the compromise offer in the first place instead of starting out high. You can't say that for biden so far in this could be a sign of good things to come but like. I said they're hoping that this gets signed into law by the end of the week after the house passes it sometime this week.

iPhone 12 sales for exceed demand expectations
"Checks in the supply chain show continuing strength for the iphone twelve line. Apple insider has had a peak at an investor note from cowan company after discounting claims of near-term trimming in builds. The peace says cowen has revised its iphone build estimate for the march twenty twenty one quarter upward for the fourth month in a row while commons estimate was fifty five million january that has risen by two million to fifty seven million units in the quarter. That represents a fifty four percent rise versus the same quarter a year ago. Then again we might want to take the year ago. Quarter and chuck it. Because that's when the planet started doing the covert way if you're wondering where the strength is it is straight down. A new way to invest that doesn't involve buying stocks hyped on Reddit
"So lately. All the buzz his been about well. Bitcoin and other crypto currencies. Bitcoin recently fifty thousand dollars a bitcoin and people who've been buying the stocks that are being touted on read it and it was all that mess that went on with Game stop and other stocks. That went up like rockets and then like rockets can do crash back down to earth and my son is in this investing group at school. He's fifteen and they're investing not real money but they all have their stock portfolios and wanna read you to texts from him from this morning. They're really funny. Is said in the last nineteen minutes. My stock portfolio dropped by six sixty. Then he texts me eight minutes later and these eh. then it went up by eight hundred dollars. And i the other night. When he was trapped. In the car with me i started boring. I'm trying to talk about how my philosophies investing work very differently than matt worrying about day trading and options and all. That was going to happen up to the minute and if you thought a father could be more irrelevant to sun then i was that minute you you couldn't be no interest in anything i was saying because to him. This is sport and that's what investing has been of late call. Investing is really speculating. And that's not my thing. I mean i'm the dulles person alive and i invest in a dull way because the ideas i wanna make money over time and so. That's why i get excited about really accessible. Investing opportunities for small investors did allow you to build reasonable wealth over time instead of trying to get the quick score and my son's a sharp kid hill. Eventually get it and will not that. It matters what you're buying and selling minute by minute. And by the way he's asked me if he can have a real investing account. Will you know you'd have to have what's called a custodial said yeah yeah where where you were the pretend owner but i'm the one doing the investing and i don't know what to do you know. Give them a couple of hundred dollars and let him play. And maybe learn the value of term investing. But you know it fifteen. What is long term. That's like three days from now. It's hard to explain a concept where you build wealth over time well do you know goldman sachs is goldman sachs is for rich people like crista. People was massive amounts of money. Who work with a personal financial manager. Who handles their money for them. That's right krista. That's what you do with your millions. Yeah no no okay. So there are. There are very wealthy people. That's what they do and goldman sachs has been doing some stuff lately that doesn't fit at all their historical pedigree They're the ones that issue the apple card for people that have the apple credit card and they have Savings accounts and all that kind of thing with no minimums will now. They've launched some cold. Marcus invest which allows people to use goldman sachs incredible financial analysis investment analysis till build robo investing portfolios for you using very low cost funds. And this is something you would ask somebody. Ten years ago if goldman sachs would ever being looking to provide investments an investment advice to everyday ordinary. People they'd say you're crazy. That will never happen. Well they're not doing what fidelity investments does where a dollar is enough to open an account many cases schwab one hundred dollars. They're doing what vanguard. Does you have to have a thousand bucks to open an account but once you have that thousand you can get advice that is tailored to your personal financial goals and outlook. The money can be and a retirement account or an investment account use what are known is exchange traded funds. Etf's and typically for the advice and the investments you pay roughly a third of a percent per year for them to handle your money. So i guess ten thousand dollars be thirty five bucks a year. Is that right. I think that's about right. three dollars. Fifty cents on a thousand. I think that's right so this is an opportunity for you to do. Investing through the nation's big boys big money houses and their whole business plan is pretty similar to what you'd have if you were with Betterment or wealth front that really started this whole investing idea. And i'm sure neither of them are very happy the goldman sachs through. Marcus invest is playing in their ballpark.

Sure, whatever I buy two or three dollar coffee. But again, you keep doing it and keep repeating, and I just made a choice that okay? Maybe I'm not gonna bring a coffee every single day. But let's try doing it two or three days a week, or, you know, lunch. Let's just do it once. So I ended up cutting, you know, things that I didn't think had like a huge value or. I could at least, you know, an frugal down a little bit. And do it a little cheaper. You know, people talk about this coffee. Oh, if you get coffee out all the time, you'd never going to be financially free. And then other people come in. Oh, it's only five dollars. If you can't find five dollars. You're not going to make financial freedom anyway. But I think it's a mindset it's this mindset of oh, I'll just get it out of just get it out. No, I'm not going to get it out. I am in this frugal mindset, where I am going to be saving as much money as possible and Carlin, I do this. Now, we have this act that we made from a Google form that we put on our phones, and if they're spending tracker and now it's a game to us. How little can we spend every month, we're still providing food and shelter for our kids. It's not like we're spending nothing. But oh, do I really need that? I don't need that this week. I'm going to see if I could push that purchase backer. I don't need whatever. Let me let me eat out of the pantry instead of grabbing another thing at the grocery store, and it's really once you get in. That mindset it's hard to stop you. Yeah. And I hear it a lot too. I think a lot of is the is planning if you plan different things ahead almost in any situation. If you have a plan moving forward, you're gonna spend less, and it could be again, you know, the coffees in the NFL groceries. Right. It goes into you know, if you have a plan of richest if you go in and just go to the car dealership, and by are probably going to spend more money, or if you have a plan for everything chances are, you're gonna spend less, and that's I think again, it goes to the mindset and just with a little bit of planning. It ends up really making a difference diving how long did this take you to get back to zero. So it took me it took me right around five years. In what what kind of changed after those five years? How'd you I guess after this five years did you begin moving toward financial freedom went to that kind of concept of building assets and building net worth kind of come into play as you went through this process. Yeah. So one of the things that we did which was really beneficial is so when we moved to Chicago with so we are already looking for housing. We are looking to buy a house. Just what's what we wanted to do sometime in that first year, we rented an apartment, and then we ended up actually buying a place, but sometime during that shift we were looking for a place that we could live in one unit and then rent the other. And so we ended up doing a house act. We found a place that we really liked and so we kept our housing expense as almost zero, you know, any non your math and your taxes and all that what have you? So that was already a start with the investments and what year so we bought that in two thousand twelve. Wells. So as Mary unites June, call two thousand two thousand twelve back to the marriage numbers. Yeah, they try to get two dollar and three dollar menu items three dollar happy meal, though, is is a real steal my high. So that's like someone who keeps kosher kosher food is way more expensive than that. There's nothing that's three dollars. So that's you know, that's like hateful speech to I can't. I can't ever have something that's three dollars. Are we sending this to Liana for the third time in a row? Yeah. Listen Leon is is the Queen of the tiebreak now veto if it moves past this round. Yes. Once we did it already believe it cannot be vetoed. Okay. Boy, rather stand the Cleveland Browns then Beverley clear well nuclear. Nuclear and that's why I got it out of this is strategic guy. I'll think the dollar menu. Okay. And kiva you're taking Beverly cleary. Correct. Okay. So this time for my tiebreaker. I'm going to go with a kiva on this one and Beverly cleary mainly because if I'm gonna have to sort of participate to I should probably read a book and not eat fast food books. Like, are you really going to grow like we really gonna throw from this? We could also Maderas rub. We could like this could be our our we like solving a mystery. I don't know if you writes mystery. Clearly, there are important lessons to be learned from children's books. Cycle for sure. Right. I haven't read a book in forever. So that would probably be a good idea. Even if it is for a young adults. Also, just the fact that can't really participate by not eating McDonalds. A feeling that's really going to be a hindrance to his standing. "So here in Arizona when it comes to our taxes, you know, you have to pay federal taxes, then you have state taxes, right? Well, AirAsia has some tax credits that you can take advantage of in the last days of twenty eighteen and help charities out. It's different than a tax deduction deduction. Is you don't get the dollar for dollar credit the Zona tax credits, you get the dollar for dollar. So if you donate, you know, three dollars, you'll get those three dollars back from the Arizona state government. If you owe money, right you I have to. Oh. So let's say that I owe a thousand dollars in taxes to Arizona. Or I paid it through my paycheck each each while every two weeks, I guess if I had at least a three dollar. Donation? I can get those three dollars back. Okay. So something to think about in the last couple of days of twenty eighteen you can go ahead and donate to certain charities and get that money back in the form of tax credits. Some of those are charitable organizations, such as, you know, think of the United way the Red Cross all those big ones. There's also a organizations that include foster care, you can also give money on those child crisis. Arizona Arizona, helping hands that MAC and Gaydos work with for caring for kids. Absolutely. You can also give money to the public schools. You get a tax credit for that. And again, it's whatever money you give if you owed at least that much in taxes you get back. So what happens is the charity gets the money, and you get the money back. So you don't lose any money and the charity gains money, so.

I hope you like what I've done here. Go there play around setup. Something fantastic for yourself set up that quality site that you've always wanted. It's easy. It's a Ford -able looks. Just a quick note about using aperture and automated to add meta data to your pictures. I I ran an article about this last week. And it's crazy I've been playing around with automated or more lately because of MAC OS Mohave and Mohave really plays nicely at the finder level with automated, and you can just create these little actions very easily that save you all sorts of time. So as I was playing around automated, I just noticed all these aperture actions that were in there on this is really cool in since I can initiate these actions to the finders going, man. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to add my copyright, and my other PTC meta data to photos where you know, they don't normally have it, you know, like in my Olympics cameras. The camera will add the copyright information for me, but my iphone. Dozen in the Fuji film exit. Ten doesn't start playing around with. And I created this action very easily that basically just dump all the images into folder on my desktop. And then I just run the action and it happens really quickly since all the images over to agitator. It adds all the IP meta data that I've set up as a boilerplate. And then a dumps the images in a -nother folder. They're my desktop, and then I can just import him the photos, do whatever I want, you know, put them up on the web. However, I wanted to and this is like crazy fast. It uses Abajian which I haven't used aperture seriously for for a while now, but I still have it, and it's just a lot of fun. So if you're sort of interested in something kinda geeky like this is very easy to do. Because I show you in the article step by step exactly what to do. And what the recipe is. So it's all there. You can do it. But if you're interested in that I have the link to the article in the show notes go over and take a look at it. "Of the things that we've gone through and what it is the grabs people there are the usual political folks who were happy to go after donna brazile and not that she doesn't deserve in my opinion because i've always thought chooses phony is a three dollar bill meant you live these people get caught up in that becomes part of the human drama they get well on their own words and be one of the problems with politics in america today is that for many people uh to a great degree it is a spectator sport and they don't realize that they're dealing with something that is uh flesh and blood life and death reality nigger poverty dish but yeah some people realize that when we talk about politics because it is uh it is vital to our lives and wellbeing some people vote completely uh out of ignorance they root for people out of ignorance this they bring the same level of ignorance to their spectators shen have there such a word as they were to a sporting event i mean there are people that that a root for teams because their grandfather and father did because they like the uniforms because it's the local team because i like the personalities that's not a reason of vote for anybody or is it the part that we miss often in discussions about the dumbing down of america i just mentioned is an aside a few minutes ago that i was at a retreat in the in italy for the last ten days and one of the things we we were talking about was what americans know don't or what people in the world know or don't know at the hands a conspiratorial is to say the bilderberg burgers the trilateral as the people who really control all the money are interested in dumbing down the populations of the be easier to control and here they have not only at ease of controlling people's thoughts because they're doing a lousy job inchcape people but also he got all these devices that are i walked through the airport in turn the other day michael and there were four young ladies probably ten twelve years of age who is standing in front of a screen mesmerized looking at a woman a young woman a doing an advertisement in the way she was dressed and all that sort of thing and and.

"Got to fund the channel with a lot more money than you're planning on using for the individual payments which on bitcoin today's very expensive you can't actually since small values and this is something that's a little bit again like not easy to see at first glance but let's suppose you open a payment channel and for one hundred dollars which is a realistic amount of money that you're going to need to fund on the coin today and you wanna buy a cup of coffee because you're not gonna use an on transaction to buy a cup of coffee because everyone in bitcoin knows it that would be insane today it used to be budgetised day but you can use a payment channel so you buy a cup of coffee in your cup of coffee costs three dollars will three dollars is the cost of a bitcoin transaction so let's oppose you buy one cup of coffee and then you don't use your channel for awhile now you want a cash out you actually can't afford or or rather the the recipient of that channel who got the three dollars literally cannot access that three dollars they never get because they can't afford the transaction fees to spin that three dollar output is fees are more than three dollars now so that's an important consequence that's going to happen when we're in an inbetween phase before lighting network is used for everything always all the time and you actually got alight closure channels from time to time you're gonna find that the practical limit on the lower value of payments is gonna be roughly the cost of fees you're gonna have to by and large still be sending more than the amount of fees if you want to actually be able to get your money out of that channel so now there are all sorts of ways in which you can imagine if the lightning that were his very very widely used that problem would be would be a lot lower because you never get in and out so if you just opened the channel it stays open permanently and you never close it then you got one transaction that's three dollars or whatever that person will never be able to spend it but they are going to send and receive a lot more value over time so you just don't worry about it and those cases will be minimal.
