Say it's one percent. You register every hundred voters you register. That's one additional vote for you at one percent. Say the fraud rate for Democrats, in other words, illegitimate votes that are counted for Democrats. If you register 100 voters by simple math, if it's one percent, that's one vote. The journal constitution actually dug deep to try to figure it out the initial reports. Were about five hundred thousand. People didn't show up in the runoff. Who showed up in the general and more than half of those were republican. Well we know the final number seven hundred fifty two thousand georgia voters who cast ballots in the presidential election did not show up again of the run off two months later. According to an analysis by the atlanta journal constitution of recently released voting records more than half of the no shows were white midi lived in rural areas constituencies that lean toward republican candidates. Essentially when you break down the voting seven hundred fifty thousand people did not show up more than four hundred thousand of those people were republican. Meanwhile two hundred twenty eight thousand. Voters cast ballots in the runoffs. Who didn't vote in the november third election. They tended to be democrat other voters. Who also said all the runoff said. They were demotivated about the presidential election. Many of them chose not to return thinking. There was nothing they could do. The atlanta journal constitution analysis. Found that the drop in turnout was more severe in north west and south georgia areas where donald trump held rallies in dalton valdosta to boost support at both of those events trump both reinforced his criticism of georgia's elections with unsubstantiated allegations of fraud and urged voters to support the senators. The numbers show that while overall turnout from five million in the presidential election to four point five million in the runoff the most precipitous declines occurred among republican voters. Republican leads in the original election evaporated in the runoffs which were required under state law because no candidate got over fifty percent over three quarters or republican. voters said. Compared to four percent of democratic votes both election saw significant not by black voters who overwhelmingly supported democrats just eight percent. One is is big tech too powerful or is it a problem for us economy. Is it a problem. And we've got Fifty nine percent of democrats seventy percent. Republicans think yet and then on the second question about whether we should break up big tax or the solution. We've got fifty five percent. Democrats saying that sixty one percent republicans saying so right and this is just so rare. This day and age to have bipartisan consensus on anything. Yeah it's interesting in this poll. That republicans are more anti-big tack than democrats on both questions. They are Both republicans and democrats are anti-big tech but for kind of different and almost opposing reasons. It has to do with their opinions of about speech. Democrats seem to think that these platforms aren't doing enough and then republicans are thinking that there's too much censorship on these platforms Okay so different reasons. Same solution. Yeah so this is starting to not just be a theoretical construct right. We have google and facebook being sued by the states or the ftc or the justice department. Nothing exist in a vacuum right. There are public opinion pressures. I wonder what this polling means four policy outcomes. I mean not. It's not as if the justice department. The ftc in the states are going to do something just because people wanted but you get more public officials that are elected based on advocating for this type of stuff There is a way in which the politics of this can affect policy outcomes. And tell you exactly who's filled out those change of address cards so the post office contractor gives me the official list of people who've moved and people who haven't moved and it turns out these voters they had moved one hundred. Ninety eight thousand. Three hundred fifty. One of them had not moved. So i took this list to the aclu the american civil liberties union of georgia and they issued my report georgia voter roll purge errors. Legal you bet. I looked according to federal law. Before your purse off the voter rolls you have to check with the post office and their official licensee contractor. That's law so i get a call. From the president of the national bar. Association seeking hoffler purging poses a classic sign of voter suppression. That's a classic. Tactic isn't ironic that.
