I think we we both have many things to ruminate about. So with that. We're just going to jump straight into it. Because arguably this Sunday's game between the falcons the Panthers is the as I said on Twitter is the sadness injury bowl. Both teams are coming in pretty banged up. I think throughout the season both the Panthers in the falcons have suffered. Some pretty big setbacks in injury department. However, the Panthers at one point were were six into and going back to the Steelers game several weeks ago that started this six games slide that they're currently. Obviously, you know, some falcons fans probably keep up with other NFC south teams. But you could tell us a little bit better than most. What what is happened? With like their offense is definitely carrying them through the first eight weeks of the season. So now we're looking at a team that can throw the ball. Maybe ten yards down the field and best who. Pretty much predicate their offense on the number of things they can do. So you've taken away a big part of what they do offense struggles defense is I guess. Exposed in a way because their pass rush was in that great. So that just created just overall collapse on pretty much every side of the ball. And. Yeah, here we are Panthers are six and eight. Obviously losing Kim Newton who it's Brian Kirby from but he has he hasn't actually been put on injured reserve. He's just being. Sat for the game. Is that correct? He's essentially the third string quarterback. Yeah. Okay. Which seems interesting since to your point he's. Been suffering a long-standing injury the entire season. It seems like jeana when you look at this. And you think about what what has happened with these two teams? What's the story? What's the story here? What why why is this so significant? I mean, these were teams arguably let people felt like the outcomes of the Panthers we're going to be the top of the NFC south into those and eighteen and it looks like they may actually be two the worst teams in the NFC sell. We pick various writers editors at the site against each other on a variety of topics for today's podcast. We have some very familiar names. Our and today Gina goes against one of our writers at the falcons Alec. He is one of our draft Googlers who is also a regular on the alcohol. Ick live our weekly Facebook live streaming show. He is none other than Eric Robinson. Eric. How're you doing man? I'm doing pretty well from doing pretty well for got us suffering through this season. I'm actually hoping. Good to hear excellent. All right. Here's the format. The combatants today will debate six topics each side will give exactly sixty seconds to make their case after both sides have made their case a thirty second rebuttal will be allowed. Although they don't have to take up all of that time. There are no rules of decorum. No limits on ad hominem. Just good old-fashioned in your face debates. Are you guys ready to begin? I was born ready..

"I am DWI as always I am joined by my co host the June Pedder dogs. I renamed deniro Tarbert. Ian, falcons Twitter the quick draw McGraw Facebook messenger. The trash talker. Supreme she will not be bossed Gina Matt online, Thomas Gina. How're you doing? I'm doing great, David. Thanks. How're you fantastic. Joining us for today's podcast is one of our writers, his one of our defensive mind guys of love reading his write ups at the falcons dot com. We were talking about none other than Eric Robinson. Eric. How're you doing man? I'm doing great. But how do you remember all? You do this about eighty times, and eventually becomes part of your in your soul. Right. Wow. Yeah. It's it's it's it's in the Roddick tick now, I think actually wake up in the morning saying, gene as nicknames. But. It is what it is. So let's just jump into it. Let's talk first of all about the the game this weekend. Obviously for full detailed thoughts on the game versus Washington. You guys can check out our post game podcast, which was handled by Corey a Koi Woodruff at the foul. Carla com as well. He does a good job with those. So we'll just touch on it briefly. But Gina wanted to go to your first. What were your thoughts on that performance up in Washington? I was actually really thrilled with it. I thought that it was the most complete game that I've seen the team put together to this point of the season. I felt like the defense played much better than they have. I thought that they looked a lot more cohesive. They looked a lot faster that was something. Dan, Quinn, specifically mentioned that everybody was more comfortable now. So they can play more at game speed. And I think that we saw that. And I was just genuinely impressed. Yeah. Eric what we thought on what you saw in Washington this weekend. That bad baseless. It was so nice to say don't say anything at all. Nice to say that we looked like a theme that was prepared. They looked like they utilize their by to, you know, get healthy in six two issues on both sides of the ball. And nee you know, they came out and they executed all three phases. They outplayed Washington from start to finish. Yeah. For me. I I keep going back to the offense of line. Yeah. We talked about this on the phallic live this week. And I just felt like that was the unit that really came to play. I mean. I think Josh Norman is still having nightmares about that hit that Jake Matthews later on him which was glorious such a fantastic block. You know, the Julio Jones touchdown notwithstanding. I feel like that was play the game just watching. Josh Norman, get absolute level. Alex Mack had bounced back to. But really, I think the big sort of surprise was the the step up from guys like west Schweitzer, Ben garland, who both had really really strong games Sajida before we close out this talk about the win this past weekend, which took the falcons to four and four. They're now five hundred what were your thoughts on Schweitzer in garland. Obviously coming into this game last week's podcast. We expressed a lot of concern about this particular duo. But it least for this first game together, they looked really sharp. Well, I'm going to have to seem that these guys listen to the Falko Hollick podcast how Mike oh account. Now, we're gonna prove these assholes wrong because they both did look really good. But you know with the offense of line and. Regular. I think that, you know, more time working together, they become more comfortable guys on their side of them. So I think much like Eric set about the defense. I think that the offense also benefited from that a week away from the playing field. So that they could just work on their chemistry and be more cohesive. But yeah, I was very impressed with guard play if they can play at that level for the rest of the season, man. I don't wanna get too crazy, but they should do. Okay. Yeah. And it's not just to be clear. Washington is not a bunch of pushovers up the middle. They have some talent there. So I think that was really my big concern earlier in the week, and they completely dispel that..

"Official podcast, if your favorite falcons fan site, the falcons. I am DWI as always. I'm joined by my co host the June Pedder of dogs. I of her name the dinners, Gary. In the falcons Twitter, the quick draw McGraw Facebook, Facebook messenger, the trash talker, supreme. She who will not be bossed. Gina, Matt online, Thomas, Gina, how're you doing. Undoing. Great, David, thank you for asking, how are you. I am out of breath because your name is getting too long at this point. Yeah, it's pretty long. And Anita work on cardio joining us today for the podcast, we actually have two guests, and I'm very excited about this. So I, she is the managing editor of NCWA team branch from SP nation and a contributor at streaking. Lawn also happens to be a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and that is Caroline darney, Caroline. How are you doing really well. Thanks for having me on, and I feel like I need to add a few things to my introduction. Study out for next time because that was something else. It's it's jarring the first time you hear trying to keep up. Now. I need to remember to follow up with her about Facebook messaging, but that's neither here nor there we can do that. Indeed. In also joining us. He has been on every podcast in the falcons universe except for the one for his own freaking site. We finally got him the comeback on in others, the one and only the falcons can self. Dave, Dave, how's Cohen on the falcons dot are you ought cast is is pretty good. That's probably a real thing, and there's some guys in the middle of Moscow. We're like, oh, chilled. So anyhow, that's offensive. Dave is big with the Ukrainians either they're big fans of Dave. So. Let's get right into it. Obviously, before we jump into this weekend's game, falcons going up to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. Let's talk a little bit about the two teams and what they are coming in from. Unfortunately, both teams are coming in with some losses. Let's start first with Pittsburgh who believe they were home against the Joe flacco. I'm sorry, the Baltimore Ravens and lost that game twenty six to fourteen. So Caroline. What happened in the game? Can you give us a quick synopsis of, you know, again, when the storied rivalries in the NFL, what was the difference in that game? Second half having the play it I think was the biggest thing. No one really told the Steelers there was the second half, so they were like tied. So the fell behind fourteen nothing like lickety-split right out the gate, and I was like, oh, this is going to be fun. I used to work in Baltimore and as a Steelers fan and someone who went to university of Virginia and someone who likes the Red Sox a military, brat, calm down. I have reasons. Chill out. So that's a good reason. Be living there with all those things. Obviously don't match with any of the local Maryland Baltimore things. So it was real nightmare for awhile. I hate the ravens and the Steelers just look like crap in the second half in literally did nothing like I just I don't even know this team. One two and one is just embarrassing. Like we've seen record is the Browns, which Duke odd. You look at it like, I'm fine to find. They lost to the fighting Patrick Mahomes in a shootout. That's what happens. I guess it's just going to be thing that is going on this season, which cool. Cool. Cool. But just the second half of that game against the ravens was just flat. They couldn't get anything going. The defense manage to make the ravens offense. Look like they're full of the best athletes in the history of the universe, getting trill. Remember they have flacco well, and there. Oh, man. I have like whole thing's about like Lamar Jackson is just a delightful human being a phenomenal player in watching them like try us him in a while. I don't even know what they're doing with him. Like when they put him out there except trying to get him hit and the Steelers tackling him in like he should be on the Steelers because they didn't draft him with the pick right before him. It just was there getting beat on every route the offense. Big, Ben look like he'd just had a huge five guys meal at the half. You have..
