threw her support behind the former vice president saying quote I believe in joke we need a leader who really does care about the people and who can therefore unify the people and I believe Joe can do that and with us right now was ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts Steve what a difference a week makes it did you anticipate Joe Biden picking up this mode the momentum this quickly no I have not I don't think anybody did I I think what we're what we're seeing though is a fascinating phenomena based on one word and that word is fear it's fear of Donald Trump and fear of Bernie Sanders Joe Biden has not been reborn as some useful charismatics move talking energetic candidates Joe Biden today is still the same Joe Biden that people have a lot of doubts about two weeks ago two months ago two years ago the difference is that Democrats have so desperate so frantic to find somebody who can beat Donald Trump that they decided that day either as a group and individually as voters and as candidates they'll camel Harris being an example of of having to rally around somebody and then choosing between Biden and Sanders the fear of Bernie Sanders is pulling the party too far to the left so there's a lot of energy around the Biden candidacy right now but in my view it's largely negative energy it's driven by fear it's driven by desperation there are not a lot of Democrats even this morning jumping up and down in Saint Joe Biden's gonna be a great candidate a great president but this negative energy is very powerful and that's what's driving this trend do you think it's now his to lose or is it too early to say that definitely has to lose end up and I think it's gonna be very difficult for Bernie Sanders to rebound here the one variable of course the one no wild card is by himself as I say he has not been report he's still the guy who can show astounding lapses of judgment he's still the guy who could make gaffes he's still the guy who can show his age very clearly he's still the guy who can appear fumbling and uncertain and in debates with Bernie Sanders and interviews it's still entirely possible for him to make damaging mistakes I think a lot of Democrats even if they rally around by they're holding their breath and hoping that Biden will get its act together and I've seen some signs a few signs of Byton improving on the stop I think he's shown a little bit more energy I think the campaign line about I'm the candidate of those who have been left behind it counted out is a defective and powerful line really echoes of a bill to written of nineteen ninety two the comeback kid although Biden's hardly a kid he's more the comeback teaser than the comeback kid and also this line of of of appealing to the concepts of dignity and civility and normalcy I think they provide a fairly stark contrast to the president who's in the oval office now but Biden is still Biden it was all of his flaws but at this point he's the Democrats best hope and it's gonna be very difficult for Sanders to capture Steve thanks for your thoughts again this morning ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts it's also worth noting that this morning one of the former "Josh Robert Welcome to mental. Your hello thank you for having me so we're GONNA be talking about anxiety today. Quite an in depth I will. When did you first start experiencing anxiety yourself will so in a major way It really started me the morning after. I'VE BEEN TO A PARTY. So sounds quite unlikely. But prior to that I suppose it'd been nervous ish child but I'd never been I'd never had like maybe tiny panic attack so what you would associate with what I would now identifies a panic attack but really for me. It was kind of always completely final. Seemingly fine went to a party wake up the next morning and everything had kind of collapsed. The any idea what triggered that I didn't know I think it's a combination of genetic factors so I think if you poke around my family history. Logunov you'll see a lot of on diagnosed condemns with the Times but sort of mental health problems and then so I think it's probably sort of underlying and then yeah. I was sort of conference of lots of different things out of state in a job that I wasn't particularly joying maybe too long. I wasn't exercising. Tula losing a lot not really sleeping and so I think I was probably already slightly predisposed and then the policy push me. How did yet she actually fail on that morning? You describe it. Yeah I mean it was like waking up into if you seen a movie where they kind of an actor or character wakes up startled and it. It was basically like that. Wake up into a panic attack and like I said had sort of miniature panic attack previously this what must just complete next level in terms of the intensity of it say panic attacks on that different for different people but for me it's like an intensely physical experience stomach knotted breath. You know very short heart pumping going nuts is dilated skinny sweaty clammy hall but called less sort of thing And then accompanying physical. Tara is a very singular mental one. Which is the idea that at some point. Olis' physical stuff with my body is going to become too much and I'm GonNa have a heart attack will will pass out and lots of people very common people. Think of panic attacks when they're in the most being heart attacks and th- reality is thankfully whilst that terrifying No one started a panic attack yet so it was extremely intense and long so usually panic attack could last for thirty seconds minutes when I'd had these little tremors before this one was three or four hours. Oh my goodness yeah. It was really intense and it was sort of. Come maybe it would subside fractionally and then it would you know. Sort of new wave would come would sort of appear see. It was pretty grim. I went to I went obviously went to an e a bunch of times with three different times to the and Went to see two different. Nhs GP's this'll general prognosis and it's not their fault you know then. It just isn't at the moment setup to deal with problems like this but This sort of general prognosis that it was that it was a hangover. Gone wrong And you know the prescription was cup of tea and get a good night's sleep so think promos couldn't sleep so Five days after five days off the initial thing having badly slats and been in a constant state of panic I ended up going to To see a private GP just coughed up the cash and And he very quickly diagnosed me with a generalized anxiety disorder after that initial fairly long. Panic attack then manifest. Yes we moved. It went from being kind of immediate fear about dying to being an mall. Will generalize guess all pervasive fear of pretty much anything say the definition of a Generalized anxiety disorders will obviously worry about forget anything so things like getting fired or getting dumped to Get a whole bunch of really. Would they call sensory motor stuff so I worry about forgetting to breathe or not being able to swallow or being constantly live to the rhythm of blinking and things like that so you have those initial worries and then what you do? Is You worry about those worries. This is slightly difficult concept to grasp. But it's the idea that your normal people might worry about. Not Sleeping Normal. Invited comments people like me. Worry we'll spend our whole lives worrying about not sleeping. Does that make sense? It's like a second order. Almost derivative of the original worry and then the third thing is guilt. Say you find this with people who suffer from anxiety disorders and depressive conditions. And things like that where you look at your life. And what on earth do I have to worry about? And of course the reality is nothing but it's a disease or disease but it's a condition something that exists outside of me and therefore it's not really my fault takes a while to get. How did you deal with everyday life through this? I would say in the in the initial I sort of five days a very badly so I was badly sleeping. I didn't see anyone So I I was couldn't sick to work. Actually that's not true. I did go in occasionally but I would get their run into the Lou after a few minutes. Run into the losing sort of burst into tears. Kind of thing and then make excuses shuffle. It stayed really bad for me for about a year and so after a couple of weeks I started to develop. I don't K- ping mechanisms but ways of seeming fine externally whilst crumbling entirely and so. It's something I talk about quite a lot in the book. Is this idea that you really can be fine. Externally and be disintegrating internally and lots of friends of sets me having read the book. I feel terrible that we didn't know we couldn't spots or didn't realize it was as bad as it was. You know you said you had a problem but it was. It was as bad as it was. And the answer is not not an partly consciously. You're trying to cover covered up because you don't want to be have a problem. You know wants to be problem but also because actually It that's just the nature of it. Is You know. Come for me. At least it's very real duality to it And so yes in your question Obviously a bit of a mess for the first couple of weeks and then after that I think I started to get better. It are the disguising it or living with. When did you decide? You want to shad this sort of writing about intending people about it. I was always really chatty about it and I think that is slow maybe slightly old for particularly blokes to to be open about it in a way. I was lucky it was as bad as as walls because I had to. I didn't have an option. You know when you will spending an hour of every day at work in the lose crying You'll boss get slightly suspicious. You know either. You've got a bowel complaint or a cocaine addiction or something that means you against the latest much and so eventually I had to. I I started talking about it with people and once you've said it once again it's just my experience but once spoken about it once it gets each time you did it gets easier and easier and then. I the writing of the book came. I had been talking to a friend. Who's a journalist so I used to work in advertising and I was talking to a journalist at the same newspaper and he'd had a similar problem to me and he suggested. Oh you should you should write about. This wasn't something I'd really considered but I pitched it to see to the Times newspaper. He published the article and we just had this incredible reaction to it so too. I mean hundreds of messages from people around the world and on the back of that someone else to a book so called anxious man at what you cover on it. We talk about all sorts. So it's kind of rooted in my own experience. I hope that it's funny book. So they're all jake's which isn't necessarily the most obvious is doesn't obviously make a A sort of topic will vector for telling jokes but it is humorous. But it's kind of starting from my own experience. What's it like to live through the moment that I described earlier? Where you wake up to realize that your mind has collapsed. What's it like to experience? full-scale disintegration of the mental faculty And then Haji about getting better and I'm convinced that the things that stop you from having one of these things in the first place are the same things that help you to get better and so. I hope that the book is of course helpful for people who've had this problem was similar problems. But if you haven't their lessons in there hopefully Would be helpful. We also look at interesting thing you know would pick around things like social media. We look at the new cycle and how that affects mental health. Sleep BLUES. Stuff about what? How did he pass me in terms of getting better? So I would say the the kind of anchor in me getting better and there's a number of different stages but primarily for me. It's been a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy Which doesn't what form but for me. It's just been incredible. Changing my relationship with alcohol completely. Say become a complete bowl. Well not a complete at that Aussie things like exercise Say fairly standard stuff I will say maybe in the most when you have a problem. That's as longtime or rather when you have a problem that is immediate is mine was like yours at the start. What was the trigger? You spend a whole lot of time trying to figure out okay. What's the exact thing that caused this problem? And actually I would say one of the key components of my own recovery is accepting the there may not be a particular trigger that this might just be completely random and once you've realized that you can let go of the search for the specific combination of things that make giving you anxiety and start to get better.

"All right. I've been hitting the gym. I'm back in the gym it. It's time to get this lazy ass body doing something. That's really going to make a difference and I've started the gym now. It's been about two weeks now so I've gone every day except for two days now. One of the things I like to do is I used to be an avid runner. Now I'm not talking. Ultra Marathon Lake Gauguin's or anything like that. I used to run. I'd run on average five to seven K every few you days or whatnot. It's kind of interesting because I got back on the good old treadmill there and I started out started out running. And I did a whopping eight minutes st eight minutes. Can you believe it aide whole minutes. It's on the treadmill. Yeah kind of laughed at myself because that was a far far contrast from what I used to do. Now I've been running every day. I start out every single. Dale Walk for a couple of minutes. It's just to get the body all limbered up and everything will start running. I notice I went from eight minutes up to twelve minutes up to fourteen minutes and then I had this little barrier that I put in place for my mind I could do twelve minutes. I do fourteen minutes no problem. It was easy simple for me but every time I tried. There's that word you all know that. I can't stand that word every time I tried to do more more that block that barrier would come up and it would stop me for moving ahead. Well something pretty amazing happened this morning. I want to share it all with you because it's so relevant for all all of us. I'm not just celebrating my own accomplishment this morning here I want to paint the picture of what's possible for each and any one of us to be able to remember I am not that ultramarathons Kamera thon guy so here. I am rocking out this morning. I hit the fourteen minute mark and something different happens. Something changes morning. I could keep going so I did. And what's interesting is I set myself small little piece of small little things to focus on. Okay if I can do fifteen minutes. Can I get to seventeen. My logic in my mind was five. Do Seventeen. That's Fifteenth Fifteen street minutes of running. Plus my two minute warmup. Yeah that's pretty good. I hit seventeen and I was still get to go. I kept doing that until thirty two minutes. meaning that I I had my two minute warm up and I ran straight for thirty minutes now for all you marathon saute. This is no big deal for you. It's like whoopy-doo the guy ran thirty minutes. But for me this guy that's basically been outta shape. It was an accomplishment this morning. What I'm seeing? Here's it each and every one of us can do this. It takes commitment. It takes perseverance. And it takes jake setting up a different standard in our mind. Remember what my old standard used to be it used to be. You can get to fourteen minutes. I could get to sixty minutes and I'm done. I'm tapping I'm finished. It's all I got guess. What a whole lot more than my tank? I didn't do anything different. It's not like I had a bunch of extra arrest or anything. I just got off my ass this morning hopped on that treadmill and I fucking crushed crushed. It crushed it from me. What's great is you can do this? Take this it's a bit of a mindset thing do what I did is I set small little milestones. Okay if I can hit seventeen eighteen minutes can I hit twenty minutes. Can I hit twenty two. Can I hit twenty six. Can I hit twenty. Can I hit thirty. I set myself up small little milestones and I believe that I could do it so enough of my accomplishment though something. I'm really proud of but enough about that. Let's get into the myth of multitasking. What the Hell is this whole idea of multitasking? Well well the idea of multitasking is that we can do multiple things at a time. I'm here to tell you. That's a bunch of absolute bullshit. Now where I use this where he uses in particular Taylor in my business. Coaching is when I'm working with managers. We've all heard the old story of the open door policy. Yeah just come on in anytime no problem I can help you and and we'll I think it's great to be able to build that beautiful report with all your people that work with you that work for you when it's time to do some work when it's time to take on the tasks that require that focus. This is when we have to close that door because we can do one thing at a time really great. We were never meant to do multiple things at a time and for myself. I've really recognized the most I can do. Is One thing I can chew gum and walk. Hey if that's multitasking. Then I guess I'm rocking it out but what I'm here to say as we. We can do multiple things when I'm coaching right. When I'm working with clients I'm not sitting there scrolling through facebook feeds and this and that why because I don't have the capacity for that when I'm doing in my one thing and I'm doing it really great and I'm crushing it? I'm getting all the results and guess what I'm saving time. See the idea that we can do multiple things. It actually takes takes US longer right. Yeah I can multitask. Here's the thing though your brain has to shift thought processes rate sitting in planning out a budget versus going and you oh speaking to an employee that comes in and whatnot. You have to interrupt that one task. That budgeting mindset and you have to shift that mindset into something else now lots of practice you can do it fairly effortlessly heartlessly. But they're still a time loss where we make up that time and where we give ourselves out time back is when we focus on that one thing that we can do really great the idea for this podcast. It came this morning I was running on treadmills. I was cranking and I'm like oh I've got to capture this. I've got one of those minds if I don't write it down if I don't capture it right away poof. It's gone on. I didn't want to lose it this morning. So here I tried the whole myth of multitask. So here I am. I'm running away. I'm grabbing the phone and I have to capture this right. I have to capture the title for this podcast. What I'm going to speak about today so I'm trying to type I'm running? I'm half fallen off this treadmill. I'm sure if anyone was looking at me they'd have got a good chuckle out of it. See even on that. We can't multitask not task. We can do one thing really great really quickly really efficiently. Take some time for yourself to say. What is it that I have have to do? I can tell you the reason I bring. This up is because people where they struggle were they have. Some of their biggest challenges is when they're trying to manage multiple tasks all at once. So so. You can't do it what you can do that one thing really great. This is where I tie it into scheduling scheduling in that task. That you have to do that. You have to to get behind so that when the time comes to crush it when the time comes to absolutely give it your all and get the task done on time on budget with everything you need to all it takes to get it done on is to focus in on that one thing. Stop Telling Yourself that myth that we can do multiple things at once we can do one thing really great. Give yourself a gift because it it really is a gift it's GonNa Save you time. It's going to increase your productivity. You're going to get a hell of a lot more done when you focus in on that one thing the idea of multitasking asking you know what recycle that idea get it out. Transform that energy into something that's GonNa help you focus in on that one thing right as we all know about energy it can neither be created nor destroyed only transformed. And this is what we're looking to do with that. Stop worrying about trying. There's that word stop worrying about trying to multitask and instead focus in on that one thing that you're doing right now. The benefits re permit are amazing. You'll get so much more done you'll be so much. More are productive and intern. You'll be so much happier managers. It's okay to close that door if you're focusing on something that requires all your attention. Take it utilize utilize that utilize that moment utilize that time. You will be extremely happy that you did. You're gonNA get more done. Focus in on that one thing.

I know, but I'm tired. And then you go home, you take a nap. And then you'll wake up at like eight fifteen and you go now, what do I do? But you you do have to play through if he'd go that nap. But not because I was hung over. I take a nap every day. I do most days every single day. So get done here, go workout obviously net, and then I come home. And then take a nap for about twenty four to thirty two minutes. Twenty four to thirty two. That's why thirty to see I would say you're better off going twenty nine and under. I just that's how long I sleep. I take a nap for about twenty four to thirty two minutes. He said an alarm, no, that's impressive. Because a lot of study safe. You nap for more than forty five minutes. It tricks your body into thinking that you're going to sleep for the night, and you go into a deeper cycle, and it makes it harder to get out of it on the other side when you wake up you feel very drowsy. Yeah. Yeah. It's like you have to sleep for your nap should be like less than thirty or less than forty five or over ninety minutes. Yeah. It's always right around that. That window there. That's it. Sometimes I go home and taken that in my wife wakes me up at about seven thirty. And it's like, hey, you just going to stay in. Or are you getting up? Oh, sorry to like five hours. "Or you know, this season's a bust. This is just as chamber Chipper bus time time now with Jimmy Butler Bower had sixteen points in thirty two minutes. He only attempted nine shots. But last night. The Sixers were definitely led by she him in Allen Iverson together. I did not they hugged, and they swept they actually in the locker room, they swabbed jerseys at sign each other like the NFL. So I thought that was pretty cool. Gotcha. Gotcha. Yeah. That's pretty cool. Jimmy, we're as the acclimates more to the seventy Sixers I think has role grow as I mentioned, he only attempted nine shots last night, three rebounds one assist. But yeah, I mean, he's obviously going to have to be the difference maker for that team. If they're going to go for but in terms of last night. The last game that I like to talk about is the Cavaliers hand the pistons Detroit eight and six they win one thirteen one. Oh to the Cavaliers are now two and thirteen Jeff are they the worst team in the NBA. Isn't that a question? Visit a question or is it pretty obvious. Well, I mean, the hawks just as bad are they to what the record speaks for itself. I mean Cleveland is at two and thirteen the hawks are at three and fourteen. So you have a point. But at least the hawks have tree young, right? Yeah. True. But he's inconsistent and some point in his in arcs of also Satan, a real, which is pretty crazy. Okay. So you'd say it's close. Yeah. I would say it's close. I just record speaks for himselves. Yeah. As for the pistons, very and six. The tough ten games stretches. Our foreign six in their last ten, but they still look like a playoff team to me in the Eastern Conference. Would you agree with that team leisure and conference? Yeah, they're the fifth seed right now the thing is like the east is so not as good as the west any team can make the playoffs in that conference. Now, would you would you agree with that? Except for maybe Cleveland. Yeah. I mean, we'll the hawks to write the hawks in the and the cows are probably out. But would you say that every team in the Western Conference could make the playoffs if they were playing in the east? Yeah. I even the sons. If there's sometimes the schedule of the east, then I would say, so I think so because scheduled Isa's way easier than schedule the west, I'm sorry. It is teams like Houston, Utah San Antonio, Sacramento. Those are all on the outside looking in the west I think they'd all be in the playoffs in these one hundred percent..

"Ship on that all second unit lineup late in the first beginning the second than again in the second half saying time has been a better role for him because he. Can create shots. He's not going to be incredibly efficient overall. You don't want him taking shots at the hands of C Jane team, but he can do enough to kind of run the offense maybe set up their shooters a little bit and get to amid ranger if there isn't much else available and today at sixteen points and eleven rebounds, four assists, an actually played his thirty two minutes. We did get some time with the other stars and was getting amazing shots. But sometime those are going to go in. I mean, you wanna talk a little bit of this up to maker mislead. The math just didn't work out for the bucks this time. I agree. It wasn't as bad as the Boston game. In terms of just how it looked and the way that the scheme was so obviously being exploited. But you still wonder now it's it's really weird because the three bucks games that I've watched really locked in on in their entirety has been the three games were their defenses look towards Kemble lit them up on opening night. Big surprise picking role point guard, Celtics lit them up. There wasn't really kyri in. Enroll that much. It was more the Horford pick and pop and then the way that the Celtics related just drive in throat to the weak side for threes. So maybe if caught them on the three worst defensive games numbers overall still a there have another really hard test gets worse. We'll see them in person on Thursday night. And I am a little bit disappointed. So far Indiana season. We talked about this on the fifteen sixty but just to turn overs are up at six again tonight and other than just kinda either getting out in transition or bludgeoning guys one on one and going in for a dunk, which obviously he's very effective. But you know, he still doesn't seem to have editors game. He tried to change up his shot. It looks like now he's just bring it up even further in front of him the jumper looks even more awkward now. So I would have thought that he would be powering the surge with another great season. But frankly, I think he played better at the start of last year than he's playing. Now a point that I was going to make and then lost track of during fifteen sixty is that I think. One of the takeaways for me. And this is early. I'm not what into this forever. But I am thinking it will be the case long-term is that this season has been a reminder of why you want another capable ball handler with Janas. There had been this interesting. You have oh, man. If you if you can give the ball us all the time, you could get all these guys you could switch and all these other ideas and in the half court. I think that you need at least one other guy who could do that. And fortunately, those players are available, but they're usually trade offs with them. So whether that is what's or Malcolm Brogdon or some third person that we don't yet know about is an open question, but I've been feeling more confident that that is a priority for the bucks on when you consider that all of the players that fit the description, I just made are pending free agents for them. It's something they have to think about when they're building this team out for the remaining time that they have honest under this current contract. It's funny that they've started this season. So well, and really you'll think of anyone on this team is an elite talent of the Middleton and ya'aseh at this point, you know, the rest of these has cut ac- replaceable. Frankly. And bledsoe. I predicted. He was I'll push back on that a little bit they're replaceable. But they're all Hsien. The big difference too. I mean air Ilyasova and brook Lopez being in the rotation as opposed to some of the absolute direct that they've been putting out there over the last couple of years is a massive massive change important point. That's that's an interesting place to talk about dot AG Vincenzo diva Chen. So it's so funny. How for me everything and this happens with the other players?.

I've told you before I'm saying this last year as he matures physically could someday he average a triple double could it'll be in the teens. He'll average fifteen points, eleven rebounds, and twelve assists. Something like that. But but again could he do Jason Kidd triple dose for all year? Yeah, he could. And the thing is get base should be a top five assist team. Because you have you always going to have three great ball handle on the court at any given time. And at least two Rondo can handle the ball. Lebron can handle the ball. Lonzo can handle the ball. All of those guys are high assist guys. So you should be in the mid twenties on every give a night. And if a just right like Phoenix, you should be in the thirties. But they got a lot of guys that can mishit offense who's making take off and go, Josh heart land, Stevenson dance. I live gonna have this day. Oh, he would kill you. Hated that guitar legend when you've Indiana, but he was doing a you. Remember that place get he feeling good about himself. He lost the ball. He got it back. He lost it again. Got it back through a shot at one of the ref to bail them out. Now, but he was unbelievable last night. But I believe Lonzo should be moved into the starting lineup until the until so do I so what shocked me on opening night at Portland was that Luke Walton made sure that Lonzo got nineteen minutes. Now Rondo played thirty two minutes. Orlan and he was good. He was driving force. Right. But nineteen minutes for Lonzo. Remember coming off arthroscopic surgery. And so he had some minutes restriction. But then against the rockets in the fateful brawl game. It was thirty minutes for Rondo to twenty six for Lonzo. Remember, he got tossed. So he didn't get to finish at thirty four minutes because that was four thirteen left. Remember, Lou won't say Lonzo is gonna play somewhere between ten and thirty minutes a night. He did will be voting for thirty thirty three thirty three last night. Why not which brings us to the quandary that will get dumped on Luke Walton head. How do you keep Rondo happy just as? Pure backup. I just don't think that direct deposit. These should be happy. We try to win games. He's built like guess what? He going to be like that. Because we listen the guys are in playing times give he's showing he can do and he can play up the ball. What is Wanda going to do if you're going to allow LeBron to be the point forward moving forward? And I believe a lot of it will be him being the point forward. What does Rondo do? He doesn't play well off the ball. And he doesn't play all that. Well on the other end either in Lonzo can really. Yup. Yes. And their commitment to defense at Phoenix. And last night, it was pretty impressive. And you know, what I like skip when LeBron James check back in the ball game. I don't know if you noticed this because you don't have fold full K D. I got one of them. What LeBron do he pointed that joker? I did. He got he will he's going to have to guard him. He's going to take the whole. If you don't do that. The mere fact you said he doesn't play anybody. Then what did Joe could do? Well, it's just his man. He's point like I got the five guide. He'll K. Yeah. I got joker. Did did you fail about five times? Do not back down back down back from down. Then just joke with him. Got no breath. Okay. Wrong brick. Lebron a broad? We'd be able to to grow bolder grail. I think he got on the vibe. Michael Bey was no right off skew. Yeah. It's only one that work out. I didn't say. Out work out hard tunes help. They don't need. No hail God-given turn up. Green colour bread. You see? It's the metal be putting us together. They had baked Jim green beans on a good old stuff. Then have a little wine and a cigar. And you're good for the nine five. And if catch just right like Phoenix, you should be in the thirties. But they have a lot of guys that can mishit offense coups making take it off and go, Josh heart land, Stevenson dance. I can I have this day. Oh, he would kill you. I hated that guitar legend when you've Indiana, but he was doing a you remember that place. He feeling good about himself. He lost the ball. He got it back. He got it. Back through a shot at one ref to bail them out. But he was unbelievable last night. But I believe Lonzo should be moved into the starting lineup until until. So do I so what shocked me on opening night at Portland was that Luke Walton made sure that Lonzo got nineteen minutes. Now Rondo played thirty two minutes or and he was good. He was driving force. Right. But nineteen minutes for Lonzo. Remember coming off arthroscopic surgery. And so he had some minutes restriction. But then against the rockets in the fateful brawl game. It was thirty minutes for Rondo to twenty-six for Lonzo. Remember he tossed so he didn't get to finish at thirty four minutes because that was four thirteen left. Remember, Lou won't say gonna play somewhere between ten and thirty minutes a night. He did will be voting for thirty thirty three. Three last night. Why not which brings us to the quandary that will get dumped on Luke Walton head. How do you keep Rondo happy just pure backup? I just don't think that direct deposit. These should be happy. We try to win games as built like guess what? Are you going to be like that? Because we listen the guys are in playing give he's shown he can do and he can play up the ball. What is Wando going to do if you're going to allow LeBron to be the point forward moving forward? And I believe a lot of it will be him being the point forward. What does Rondo do? He doesn't play. Well off the ball. He doesn't play all that. Well on the other end either in Lonzo can really. Yup. Yes. Their commitment to defense at Phoenix. And last night, it was pretty impressive. And you know, what I like skip. Lebron James check back in the ball game. I don't know if you notice this because you don't have one full K. What LeBron do he bought it at joker? I got it. Did he got it? Will he's going to have to guard him. He's going to take the whole. Don't do that. The mere fact you say he doesn't play anybody. What did Joe could do? Well, it's just his man. He's like I got the five guide. He'll yeah. I got joker. Did did you fail about five times back down back down back down? Then just joke with him. Got no breath in the pie. Okay. Wrong. We'd be able to grow grow. I think he got on the vibe. Michael Bey was the no. Yeah. The only one that work out. I can say. Got hard to help. They don't need. No HALE that God given. Turn-up green? It's the metal be putting together. I thought they had baked jam. Green beans ought to go stuff. Then have a little wine and a cigar. And you're good for the night. By pinup tonight. Are you? "I thought it was a damn good match in they again, it came down to the chemistry that they had the very comfortable with each other like each other. And when you. Sellin rock in the ring, man, it's magic. He'd he did a hell of a job with him and McKay. She was great worker that I keep saying that, but it's, I think people discount forget just how good of a big man. He was talking about the wrong December twelfth. The show would open with Ricky. She pinning the undertaker and this is in an era when you really don't say the undertaker lose a lot on TV, but he did here. And of course there's some interference from Kurt angle, but still it's a big deal to get a win over the undertaker. I should mention too that we're on our way here to the pay per view Armageddon. And this is an interesting Armageddon because we've got a hell in the cell with a ton of dudes Kurt angle, the rock Steve Austin, Ricky she triple h and the undertaker six guys inside a Helena sale thirty two minutes and twenty seconds and. And this is got an interesting bump here. You know, we've already set a precedent with these Helena sales. We've seen some spectacular matches with the undertaker Shawn Michaels, and of course the undertaker and mankind. And here we want a big spectacle. So at eleven minutes and thirty seconds of insect man, backs a truck to the ring, Patterson and Brisco or with him, and a worker attaches a chain to the door, the cage, and then the truck drove away, ripping the cage door off completely on the Vince orders them to take the entire cage down. Foley's music plays out. They come, they're cutting promos back and forth. Eventually, you know what's coming. Kishi takes a giant bump off the cage and into the bed of the truck, which I guess is filled with sawdust. What the fuck is this? The my surprise Meltzer gave it four and a quarter stars. You got all the stars in the world. But we're taking bumps off the cage into a truck bed filled with salt. What the fuck is this. Why hated it? I guess a lot of people loved, I hated it because to me. Fed into that. We've got, we've got a top ourself with Mick Foley bomb. You know, we got the Shawn Michaels bumped on the McFaul e where we going to do what's the next big bump? We're going to tell them to sell you. Gotta have a big bump. In all will definitely hear about if it wasn't him, but I think it was Michael. Who suggested what? If Ricky, she took a big bump off the top of that son of a bitch. Which is an interesting idea. My fear was how do you get him up there that's available feet. That's hard for a guy that's in great shape to get that down, Helena sale and get up and work on top of that cage. So getting Ricky, she on top of the cage to me was well, that's hurdle. Number one, how the fuck do we get the big bastard up there? And then. That's a, that's a scary bump in the way that they wanted to do. It was was pretty much a backwards bump, which is scary as hell because you can't see where you're going and you're not turning your body, it's it's everything had to be right. They rehearsed it, they did it and all that shit. Everything was cool and it was all fine. But it was still to me. Scary and junior was was cool with it. He he went up and did it and everything was fine, but it was totally safe. I mean, we had the crash pads and all that other bullshit in there. But it was still scary just to me because you're falling backwards for ship eighteen feet..

So there you go won't that be just grand won't we all enjoy listening to clips of that tomorrow. Pen in my eye. Will help. Probably wouldn't help just as a show of your disgust anger. I guess it's like setting yourself on fire, but similar not quite as much. It's no treat though. No, man. Yeah. Yeah. Never mind. Happiness. We all want to be happy. Right. Yes. Please you're happy. And you know, here's what I suggest you do. Clap your hands. And I say this every time happiness comes up read the art of happiness by the Dalai Lama, one of the best things I've ever read my life. So good. Oh, I've got a couple of books on happiness. In fact, I think one of them was called on happiness urges happiness. We interviewed the block. And then I met him. This would be better. If I had the fella's name in a twister Aroo being happy is actually being selfish. If you look at it that way. You just you just have to be smart enough to understand what stuff's gonna make you happy. Right. Right. Yeah. And not being selfish is the most selfish. You thing you can do is don't be selfish. That's what will make you. Happy. But I'm really confused focusing on pleasures and stuff like that won't make you happy. It just doesn't never has throughout history. Right. According to one several all all of the rate philosophies. Right. Right. So do the selfish thing that's gonna make you happy which is to be unselfish. Exactly. The too much of a twist, drew. That's the way I look at it. It's crazy. But here they've got the people that studied this in a more of analytical sort of way over the years happiness. Researchers have consistently found that happiness usually follows a u shaped curve throughout the course of a person's life people are happy and satisfied with their lives when they're young that drops off considerably in middle age when you're doing the whole job child rearing thing then makes a u turn and heads back up in your late fifties, if you had kids earlier than I did I'm sure and beyond when the kids move out and work starts to wind down. That's when the happiness trend starts to get back to where when you were young. Tends to be the case for most people. I think I'm in the weirdly dislocated kids just left period. So my you should be heading northwards soon. Exactly. This kind of this kind of fits in with this study that parents have a on average thirty two minutes to themselves per day. Do you have kids and feel like you never have any time to yourself? It's no allusion. You really don't unders- new survey which summer calling depressing. I know finds that. The average parent has thirty two minutes to him or herself each day. Do the driving. Probably okay. That's the only time I have to myself as one of them in my car getting to work in back might move further away. Give give myself more time. Maybe my radio ranch. How would Nebraska's the survey found that about a third of parents don't get? Eighteen hundred mile commute. Anyway, I'm sorry. You were saying they found that one out of three parents doesn't get done working using my finger quotes until eight PM each day. I'm usually going pass that. Yeah. Etcetera etcetera, usually until I go to bed. And. Ah quarter of respondents said they hid from their kids. An average of four times per week actually hide. What I haven't done that when we're playing hide and seek, but it's right there in the name. Well, and you got a bigger place than I ever. Did you do that successfully? Mommy. Daddy. Try the east wing. So that fits in with this whole U-shaped thing though, right? That would be the part of life where you're on the people say, they're less satisfied with their lives. I have less time to I guess. Yeah. I could see that. I I would hate to portray those years of my life is like not good though. No. I don't. Yeah. It depends on what you do. So like, I don't have time to myself when I'm busy taking care of the kids during the day. I don't mind that I'm not thrilled about the after. They're in bed cleaning the house doing dishes. I could live without that. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. I'm not Dalai Lama enough to feel like this is part of serving others. I'd be happy. But you're not there yet. Yeah. All the hours dragged, but the years jerk is they say, and you know, I I was acutely aware of being very satisfied with my life. When we had a houseful kid. I concur. But then there's this people who think that their immediate supervisor is more of a partner than a boss are significantly happier with their day to day lives in more satisfied with their lives. Overall, surprise out of the same researchers that are talking about the u shaped happiness thing. So you're in the middle aged working part of your life when you're less satisfied, according to this. If you see your bosses, a partner as a partner Boston said of a boss boss works out to about a point four point increase on the ten point lice life satisfaction scale, which doesn't sound like much. But this actually says it's a huge amount. So I'd go from six to six point four you're saying that would be the equivalent in life satisfaction to doubling your household income, according to studies. So doubling my household income. Also takes me from six to six point four, correct. Wow. How interesting I have some some questions some follow ups. If you're in the sort of gig and position where you are more a collaborator with your boss than an underling. Well, I don't know. That's interesting years sort of person in sorta line of work, and you're probably making more money anyway. But don't good bosses. Make it feel like your collaborator. Much more productive way to approach much much much more. And y'all who don't do it that way. I'm going to be charitable. I would say this. It's time to have a little personal growth and understand that being a hard ass while easy and satisfying on on one level is not nearly as productive and will not make you nearly as much money is if you're people feel like they're working with you. I'll be very vague wilder working for you because the participants in my life story are all still alive. I think supper one one guy died he was kind of a boss and the cops have some questions for you. But everybody else is still alive. So any, you know, all just call him. Oh, caviar in the store. Very good. We have breaking news breaking news. Nikki Haley resigned.
