"This is radio boston. I'm tian during boston. Wants thirty hotel rooms. At the quality. In in revere they are for people currently in the area of massachusetts avenue and melania cast boulevard who are experiencing homelessness and addiction. The city of boston says it wants to use the rooms for transitional housing and wraparound services for people at mass and cast but revere mayor brian rigo is against it. Saying there has been no plan and that makes the idea dangerous. Acting boston mir kim janey and mayor areso are set to meet and talk out their differences later this afternoon. We caught up with mayor a rigo little earlier today. And i asked why specifically he objected. I wrote a letter to the bus. Probably health mission especially my immense frustration. And it's been more around the fact that there is no plan you know we've heard a lot about a regional plan. We've heard a lot about How we can potentially help these folks. We haven't seen any details You know as i said in the letter. I don't even know how many rooms are looking to rent from the quality and in revere And so when we were when we found out about this which didn't happen the way. These things orderly happened happened through a voicemail. You know there was some frustration but ultimately what we need to do is make sure that we're meeting the need of humanitarian crisis. We cannot just move people in boston and ship them to another city. We need to have a real regional plan of responsible regional plan. This is a situation where all hands should be on deck And that includes the governor that includes the attorney general that includes the da and includes metro. Boston mayors multiple mayors in multiple cities are coming together convening and figuring out how to roll up our sleeves and and and tackle this. It doesn't mean just moving people from one city to another and that is what we've what we've seen so a lot to unpack there. I'm going to pull some of the threads and what you just said mayor. We're going. i'm going to start kind of small. The city confirmed a w. b. u. r. That the pilot proposals for thirty rooms did they. Did you get inconsistent numbers of rome's from the city or did you just not know what the size was so we had heard everything from one hundred sixty two thirty and it depend on. Were talking to. We wanna make sure that that there are a there are other regional partners. A part of this that their seats tickles. Set a part of this that this isn't just something where putting thirty beds and in one place and and and that's it what i haven't heard are who are the other partners that were were we'd be working with. What is the operational plan around that. And how do we make sure that we have the resources to be able to meet the needs of of the folks that are going to be there. So that's i'm gonna. I'm gonna pick that up for a second. I'm sorry to interrupt you. So you're really emphasizing sort of the the coordination the regional strategy the planning and clarify you're not objecting in principle to housing people who are experiencing homelessness and addiction from the mass and cast area in revere you're not objecting to that. It's the process by which this is happening. My understanding you correctly but We've that's from our own experiences. We were We spearheaded the the covert hotel that was at the quality inn and that took leaders from the region coming together and working together..

"Like get a solid setup. Number one plan the origin piece of content number to produce three unique pieces of content. A week number. Three produce seven repurpose pieces out of those three unique pieces number. Four and number five is post your daily content and by doing those five things by getting that solid setup and getting a solid set up in place by planning your content and really taking some time and energy to to think about. What do i wanna produce. What do i wanna do here. What do i want to. what's my goal. What what emotion do i want to vote and people and then actually producing the content on the back end posting it and rinsing and repeating it again next week and doing it again next week and doing it again next week. That is the path to making money and rob. I think you just laid out the the easiest path for creators to make money just rinsing repeating that process. Yeah gary that was a really nice y. I've out the five steps. And even nasa piece of content isn't a gary so you've just crowd source content of may so this is people over think content and they think it's hard. It's not if you just talk and interview and be interviewed and going Loitering groups and do lives and jump on other people's lives content creates itself. Comes out a few. You know like a musician. A music comes out with you now. The one where. I'm going to slightly move this conversation but gary you know you can bring it back wherever you You talked about consistency there ultimately and you know clearly to be a successful person in any endeavor takes consistency unless be honest. It's easy to stop for some people. It's actually how to stop but it's easier to start than it is to ten years everyday so you don't have to be perfect. You don't have to get it right first. Time all ten time fiftieth time. You can have loads of content. it's not gonna land. You're gonna make spelling mistakes. You can do lives that cock-up halfway through the internet is gonna be shit. You know yada yada. You're gonna get tro. There's going to be zillion things the happened. And if you us. Free spirited and playful and curious every day on content and you do that consistency consistently you work out. What works you get really good virology. You might load some money most streams of income and you actually fricking enjoy doing whereas all this stuff about resilience in great so got a sweat. Blood you bleed out your eyeballs and e. class to be successful as like no no fucking have fun and be be prolific start. Now get perfect lighter. I think there's too many rules that put them places. They you have to do this. You have to do that. You have to do this you have to do that. You have to. You have to wake up every morning and do a five thirty room at five thirty in the morning. Because that's what kyrie does know like what i love about. What you just said is is just be consistent daily but have fun and just be creative. Whatever that creative is..

"Facts. I'm interested in data. I preferred books that have charts and tables in them. I love big government reference books and i. I can't tell you how many books i have that. All they are books full of numbers and data. And i prefer that to reading somebody's opinion. I'll read people's opinion later. But you know i read so much of the current books and it's the rally chinese a motion to tug on your first year strings heartstrings. Start say pursestrings but sometimes pursestrings Yeah no no that's true too But i you know. Sometimes i remember one book and the tables the maps and stuff in the book said the opposite of what the author said of the whole premise of the book and they couldn't even read their own data right so i. I wanna draw my own conclusions. I wanna be a skeptic. A skeptic not a cynic whereas skeptic as from zuri you know show me Let me double check the facts. I don't really believe what you're saying. Till i double checked for myself. A cynic is somebody who distrust your mo- needs and thinks you're up to evil. And all that so i never cynical but i'm always skeptical. So my library is non-fiction. My library is full of books. Full of facts and data encyclopedias and dictionaries on every subject. You can imagine it's real. I always say. I pretty much cover every subject except cooking and sports. I don't cook. But i do have a lot of books about food. The history of foods and vegetables and fruits. And i have i come coming from indiana. I love auto racing. And i love basketball so i have sections on them. I kinda got into world cup. But i'm My baseball friends would say oh. You have a terrible library at the same time with sixty thousand books. Somebody will say to me. Well you have a much on this subject. I say no no not much only twelve books you know. So sometimes what to me is insignificant or was just a brief interest For a few weeks. Although i usually keep every interest i gain new interests every year and then i keep everything but you know what some people would be a big library. The me i tend to when i'm interested in a subject like the nine books came today. Well forum we're on the same subject. Why really wanted to get my head around that. And i wanna compare what different authors saying but i especially want books with data facts and information so my tension span is just too short for a big fat novel. Hey if i ever really got into. Literature cost me a fortune. Designed have to buy another forty thousand bucks or whatever it is sixty thousand books you know but i enjoy short stories and i enjoy movies but i mean real life nonfiction. Nothing could be more amazing. Read the biographies of these great people. These great business people that i study and right up on websites and stuff and you know. Not fictional story is more dramatic or heart-wrenching or whatever so no. My library is really and selective. As when i had the bookstore team that i started my friends and i did. I got free books from the publishers. I would turn them away. Or i would put them out on the front desk anyway. Wants these tapis because they will give me books that i didn't really want my library on the other hand. I have other places in my library where there's a gap on the shelf. I keep a list of important books that haven't been written. Yeh why say. Nobody has written x. for example there hasn't been a good history of the general electric company written since the nineteen forties. And that's crazy. You know as important as that company is all the changes they've been through and so i've got a gap waiting for somebody to write that book in a sense. Mine is is very selective approach. Even though it's come to sixty thousand books now i'm going to talk about how you select books and also organize your book. She said you have spots available before we do the questions you want. Be thinking right now is like why physical books like. Why you thirty rooms. When you could just get a lot of these on a kindle. Yes yes i books..

Weezer fall out boy. Hey that sounds pretty. Yes for the entire weekend mummification. Speaking of this weekend we've got a rocket launches friday to fifty something in the afternoon right. Primetime afternoon thunderstorms launch right. This is second. Test flight for boeing. Trying to refi their steiner had forty air force yup. We haven't dug into some space in a minute. Just real quick so we had a bezos went up right heating go as far as richard now he further did he go. Further bazo sweat. Yeah 'cause branson because they're talking about like the w- like they're trying to define what the line is between atmosphere where you're actually in space. Yeah yeah and the old definition of astronaut is going past. This line called the karman line united states definition of that is like forty five something. I'm probably wrong in this. And the international definition is like fifty six miles. There's a discrepancy. So branson went to the american definition of space and then basil's went to the international definition of space but then the international atomic at the global a space regulatory agency came out and said none of them are astronauts. We're redefining how we give the title in the wings to astronauts so just traveling past the carbon line. No longer does anymore. Now you have to go and be on an orbital mission and you have to. Your mission has to contribute to overall space flight safety and this one more really stringent thing. Because what's going to happen is if they kept it really loosey-goosey everybody who flew in space would be technically legally declared an astronaut wings and all that and they're like nah that that's not gonna fly so now that they've space tourists are now called spaceflight participants all right instead of astronaut so basil's number two participants. Yeah we'll bezos. Actually had his own because he knew that he wasn't gonna get real astronaut wings. He had his own made for them kersee. Then so that's when he wears them. It's not like official. It's like a knock off the heat because he's a billionaire can afford it so and this leads me to the meme. It's so obvious. Is it true what they. He designs rock after private women. Okay what other memory talking about aliens. That are visiting us like you. It's happening and identified. Flying objects are being reported now even at the government levels right correct unidentified aerial phenomena. Yeah okay so it's happening. The meal is kind of funny like billionaires from other countries coming to visit us. That's great right like oh billionaires. Mother planet look like who's flying these efforts like it's not like they're not just given like the rural area urban people or urban neighborhoods or roll neighborhoods like these awesome spaceship so these are just the elites of their people having you. We're going to go with. Yes they are no. Let's just do it then. Me and my saw was Jeff bezos next to dr evil. Oh god you. That's why he wore the cowboy hat because he wanted to get away from that mean but one billion dollars watching that with basil's going up though because it was more like a rocket it was. I was terrified for those people. I was like. Oh my gosh. Like i got the oldest woman in space the youngest person in space. And then i'm thinking about the bazo says mom who's like oh my god and my two sons are on this like any. I mean things can. We've seen we live in this town. You've seen it go wrong and it's like just go up and they did it in the lean it. I'm like oh. Thank god but then they're going to do all these other flights and like stress. Congratulations now do you want to go up and you want to go. They can keep it. There's no elevators than space in space to a movie. There should be alligators in space. But there's not only the future movie i mean. Look the crocodile. nelson zulia did just hangs spoiler alert. You see where we made. Chance to snap. Low-key yes that was pretty awesome. Because everybody else on that spoiler everywhere. Lanao alligator loki is pretty awesome. Yeah then you make chance the snapper into alligator loki and even though it's totally perfect as it really is going totally off topic here. Where's charley What your back maybe go..

Sanity corporation founded by tandy mcguinness had it site said on a forty eight point six acre plot of land at the very south end of the strip south west corner of the intersection of las vegas boulevard. There were also two golf courses located on the south end of the strap. A few years prior xanadu was planned developments. The tropicana had attempted to purchase the land across the street. Their intention was to build a second hotel tower for their resort across from the original tower and linked the two sites by a bridge over las vegas boulevard. Although they'd gotten permits for the construction they were unable to secure funding and that project failed as architect. Xanadu corporation hired. Martin stern junior to design their incredible new resort stearns fingerprints. Were all over las vegas. His first foray into the city had been in one thousand nine hundred fifty three when he designed the low rise room editions. For the hera this would form a long standing relationship with the sahara. That would see stern go on to design several more projects for the hotel. Stern design a new tower for the sands hotel in one thousand nine hundred. Sixty four a low rise remodel for the flamingo in nineteen sixty seven and a twenty six story high rise for downtown. Las vegas is meant hotel in nineteen sixty eight by the late sixties. Stern had established himself as one of the major resort. Architects in the country in nineteen sixty seven alone had nine different las vegas hotel projects in production and in one thousand nine hundred seventy. His firm had thirteen projects in various stages of design or construction including the stardust eldorado landmark aladdin perez and circus circus but it was with the international hotel. That stern truly changed the vegas landscape. Just off the strip next to the convention center it was built as an over scaled corporate block and it's setting was defined by its elaborate entrance driveways and parking lots and not its location on the highway inside the resort featured a series of international restaurants as well as its gargantuan show which would later become elvis presley spinal. Las vegas venue stearns try forum. Tower designed for the international hotel would eventually become the most imitated building on the strip providing the model for the bellagio marashi mandalay bay and treasure island. Two years later stern followed with the mgm grand with its giant entry. Way befitting the hollywood image that defined the hotels theme with the mgm grand. Stern developed another trademark design towers where the top floors were wider than those below to give the luxury suites more panoramic views inside. Stern went even further in creating what almost appeared to be a micro city on the property with its labyrinth of interconnected casinos restaurants and shops as well as the massive showrooms and theaters so it seemed only fitting that stern would be the one to design xanadu with an estimated cost of approximately one hundred fifty million dollars or roughly seven hundred million dollars by today's standards. There were big plans for the resort. As evidenced by this description pulled directly from xanadu corporations prospectus for the project xanadu was proposed as a one thousand seven hundred thirty room international class hotel and casino to be located on the strip in las vegas nevada approaching the overwhelming port. Core share attention is immediately focused upon the fire falls cascading waters which nearly stretch across the site penetrated by the red orange licks of dancing flames upon entering the xanadu.
