"Awful. You mentioned although the the players on this team and you go from you know kucherov. Two point to sara lee and stamkos etc. Right down to. Ross coleman like the thing that i love about tampa and do with all their men as well even like man erik. Cernak has a very definite end deliberate role on this team mike. Everybody has something that they do right like. Everybody has a job there like a bunch of worker dogs and they all have their assignment and they do it like. It's a marvel. And i'm building this up like david versus goliath. Your house montreal going to do this but the more you see tampa the more. You can't help but just being flat out impressed with this squad it'd be a good final. I'm really going to enjoy it. I i. i'm really looking forward to this final. Just make it go long. I would hate for it to get to this point. Because how hockey would this be elliott to get to this point only to see a sweep like i don't want to give this mantra. It's not going to be a sweet. I know i hope. It's i hope it's i just don't want this. If this mantra canadians story is going to end in the final. And they don't make. I will sleep for a week and guell jammies of his a sweep leading the gravity of that just sinking for one second away. Do you think. I was gonna listen to that garbage. Podcast tweeted of course. I'm split because i'd love to see you do that for two. I don't want this to end and a hockey fashion like the hockey story for the stanley. Cup playoffs is you can get to the final as an underdog but generally are not gonna win just because it is such a grind and by the time you get there. You're as an underdog you're just exhausted because you're not quilt built for the stanley cup final. Whatever that means. It's just the history of hockey. I just hope that it doesn't end now. If it does for the montreal canadians either way. I just hope this one is a long series And with that will kick it off. Elliott's all set. I'm all warmed up. "Every day and people have all these car payments and for the longest time myself. I thought you're going to have a car payment till you die. Let's just a normal thing that people think cards breakdown. Who just don't fall into that. Stigma is not good. It's one of those think it's not a tool to use pay off. You don't realize the weight that can be lifted until it's gone and it feels it feels clean. No no in bad pool to a good pool. I would just add also the budget because i thought that i we. We thought that we were budgeting before. And we we would go where all this money we should have. Where did it go. We didn't have an answer for it so being very diligent about that budget. That was a bad word. In my family growing up it led to money fights and so i think i kind of avoided that But the dow budgets fun for us right. Yeah it's like. Oh within cashflow vacation in two months well money right and who can we help with it and all kinds of stuff. It changes everything. Well way to go very very cool and it. Isn't it interesting that you you major giving a full ten percent your local church and didn't slow you down but sped you up. Yeah it was honestly like me on. That was the hardest part for me. "So tesla unveiled the model plaid. Addition what are you getting for that Very bargain-basement one hundred thirty one thousand dollar price. This incredibly affordable tesla is basically. What musk is trying to do is say that these are the best car. That's kind of what they've always been trying to do what they really want to do with this flat dishes show that they can be the quickest fast cars while so what we've got here is a super duper edition of the model s. with three electric motors allowed to go from the to sixty in sierra under two seconds. Although there's a big asterisk which get into minute cover the quarter mile in about nine point. Two seconds three hundred ninety miles of range at top speed around two hundred miles an hour so definitely the speed is the main talking point. But they've also made some other improve on the interior and everything else to well. Wanna get into all that but before we get to details of the car at the ask. Plaid edition is that that is baseball. Reference yes yeah. We've definitely seen a number of space while references over the years It remains to be seen exactly where we're gonna go to from here but yes we have gone. "I had kind of upbringing where we didn't have a lot and so we moved quite a bit. My mom was a single parent. There were four of us. And from the time i was born till i was seventeen i lived in thirteen different homes a lot of movie. Yes it a lot and that had me fix the space up and then make it special and take it down quickly because we moved a lot so it taught me. They're having a space or an environment. That really felt special means a lot. It shift someone. Someone's energy up lifts you. It makes you feel a cherished in warm and that that reality has stayed with me. And so i really kind of what i call undercover designer used to offer to just do my friends homes for nothing because i got so much joy out of helping them make a very special room or even their whole home. I knew from my own personal experience with a tremendous difference. That kind of transformation makes someone's life and so i also was a visual artist growing up so what i went to high school. I did half of my classes in a day. We're all studio art visual clay acrylics. I mean everything. I thought i was going to go to paris. You know be this visual artists. But my mom was like. How are you going to pay your bills so then. I chose theater kind of joe wright second-best but That visual our background plus my theater training where we learn how to build sets and how to use color into creating an environment to to make people feel they were in a real person's home serve me and again. I continued to undercover designing helping people. It really was shifted for me was the pandemic. I've done a lotta things. I've accomplish accomplish a lot of things. I've become an expert in several areas over the trajectory of my life. But one day i sat. I asked myself this question if the pandemic or if the was gonna take me out what i regret that i had not gone all out. That's good. I answered that question without missing a beat that i did not truly take my design since ability my design skill that passion to the next level and i said you know what. Let me just start a youtube channel and from there. It's had this profound snowball effect quite honestly. I was really just want to build out this youtube channel and do do small. I actually did a series called the diy. Do a redesign which was a show. So i would go into people's homes but from there people started to reach out and say what can you do my home or can you do these two rooms these three rooms and now it's becoming a thing right if becoming a business so let me. "Uncomfortable trolling experience. I had on social media being very new and very green to social media. I hadn't realized the depth of the social media world. I had joined a few veterans groups. When i got out of the of the forces and started trying to communicate and connect with other veterans in a variety of different spheres and trolling incident was actually scarring for me. It actually did create some very very deep roots. And i realized that i have to two options. I can you know. Let it define me. Or i can be something about it and create something beautiful. And this was kind of the impetus behind the canadian veteran marketplace so realizing that veterans have a wealth of talent and skills. And there's not platform really for them to showcase talents and skills that they have sparked the canadian veteran place which now has almost thirty two thousand members in it and this forum allows that turns to showcase their skills or their services in a forum that resonates not only with other veterans but it resonates with that true supporters. So you know Masters of industry that are looking to leverage batching talent and are looking to employ veterans Especially purchase their products or services really helped propel that economic reintegration of veterans and a very unique way that's awesome so it's very a very entrepreneurial minded occur is the chair has i. Don't think that can realize that they can monetize. They have cool. So if you're veteran if you've got a skill or you have a job or even service available you you put put your profile on there and other members of the of the civilian community wherever can just seek people out in Hiram there i'm sure there's a vetting process involved in putting the Veteran minded businesses on there vetting process actually Interesting in that be thirty. One thousand members that are part of it actually ask self self regulate the platform so it's interesting how that brotherhood and sisterhood. Actually create the conditions for really really strong integrity and others will actually help moderate the content. You make sure that if someone you know put themselves out there and they are in fact not a veteran. Bill don't get called and removed from the platforms. So i guess if there's thirty one thousand some people on there. If you're a fake or stolen valor type. Get sniffed out real quick really quick. Yeah that's awesome. So how does somebody has. Somebody find you guys Either cup of south associates or soldiers yourself or the veteran marketplace. We have a website for solar south soldier. The number two self dot com and you can also hashtag it. So i'm new to the whole federal hashtag soldier. The number two thousand. And it'll come up to our website across the canadian veteran marketplace's exclusively on facebook just google canadian marketplace about i'll pop up and you can join be sure to really be standard operating procedures. I can't even make this up but we actually had to develop standard operating procedures for social media group. In order to fuel the content can make sure that it Continue to align with our mission which is to foster the growth and development of veteran initials. Ed awesome it's great Look christina. Were getting close to the ever time Knowing everything about veteran transition whether somebody's looking to get out to get a j. o. B. or get into the world of entrepreneurship. What kind of things come to mind when you're talking to somebody that's nearing a transition. Or maybe they might be going through one right now. I would say with wi- start with finding out what truly drives your behavior and what yours truly passionate about. And if you're not sure talk to as many people as you can to help you navigate that space. A lot of veterans including myself and my husband withdrew when you're in transition and we stopped engaging we isolated and it was probably the biggest detrimental thing that we possibly could have done. So i would encourage anyone who's been transitioning or who's going through. A turbulent time to engage as many people as possible and start asking questions about their journeys. What we're for them with didn't work continue to stay. Engaged don't isolate withdraw from community and society. And i. I would say that comes up all the time there. There's there's so many programs out there so many individuals out there looking to help veterans looking. There's so much available out there but the biggest thing that causes this great divide is the veterans. The veterans don't ask or they don't they don't seek out in trying to find a program or something that works form so yeah Well christina. Thanks for sharing your guys story Look forward to seeing your success in the future with which you guys are doing with cubs health associates in soldier to sell off in devote. So as you doing great things Keep up the good work Give you the last word if you have any Partying words Before we head off to Back to entrepreneurship the last word. Just be thank you for allowing me to be part of this journey and sharing this journey with other. I'm certain met together. We can help veterans in transition so they don't have to potentially the world and those dark places that we had to to experience. And i want to make sure that you know. We accelerate that process to to have them lead very meaningful a filling my co service and that takes a lot of work a lot of teamwork and collaborative efforts. So thank you. Joe for for being part of our journey. Welcome you bet. Glad to have you heard of it. And that's it so. These veterans are oscar. Might be listening to veteran on the move. What remote and hybrid work will look like after the pandemic

"Microsoft ran this study surveyed about thirty one thousand workers. What did they find well. first off. They found that a lot of us. Want to keep remote work when it. When the pandemic ed's no shocker. Their seventy three percent of the thirty one thousand workers that microsoft survey this is not a small survey is fat is said that they hoped that remote work would continue but what was interesting in the all the different parts of the survey which you can find a link to of course is that One of the things that microsoft found was that gen z workers in particular are saying that they're really struggling right now from the remote work world. They're saying that they don't get enough interaction with their colleagues. They don't know you know they're starting out in their careers right so they're not getting those kind of moments by the water cooler or chance encounters in the hallway that really lead to a lot of those career helping moments in the beginning and instead they're kind of just stuck on zoom or more often not consume and really. Don't have any of those kind of you know the mentorship that they need. And it's it's a really interesting problem that i myself have actually heard from a couple of japan's ears about so it's it's definitely an issue that is popping up.

"Man but on the new york times. Yeah that's where. That's where. I found the article. The new york times picked it up but he. He said he didn't want to keep all of it. He said he's going to give half of it to charity because he wasn't expecting it to be this long. He thought it was just going to be like twenty. Four hours would be the max That's good and then he said he's going to give a big chunk of it to His twitch mods what yeah seat when your big like this though and you have those mods. Those guys are practically working like. Oh we'll lot of people. Wanna streamers do pay their odds and oh yeah did i should try to. I should try to work to be. Somebody's mod but i have to monitor someone's stream all the time so i don't have time for that module like almost required to watch every single stream. That's pay money while these moms. Maude are they have to be there. always win is moving. He's still he's still laying down. Did it just seems kind of annoying. Because now he's gotten to the point where he needs to keep the sabbath ongoing and now he just has the stream follow him wherever he goes like. He's just doing normal day stuff he would normally do. Yeah it's all over the. It's all over the news. I don't know how i didn't see it. He sponsored by subs sounds delicious. Let me it out and see if there's any all right there. Yeah that's andrew promo code lug with five hundred that's crazy imagine being a streamer and being able to sleep and have thirty one thousand people watch them. I want to deal with pay. Money will be dead with that play media and to try and wake you up. I just think that's the funniest shit. See we do me community. Because i don't think his intentions were for them to wake him up. They was more of just. Like i'm going to sleep and i'm gonna let you guys do media share knowing his community. No but he. He said he turned. he has like big speakers. And yeah i guess you're right. And then the whole thousand dollars you can dump a bucket of water on them and he sleep-deprived himself to try and be more tired more tired see. I think we do that. But we put our twist on it and we're sleeping in the same bed and then somebody donates thousand dollars. We have to kiss. No that's a big fat fat and no for me. Can i do the new partners. "Something worthy droplet of one type of person and then i can go back to the other side and agree with eighty percent of what has to say so it also. I don't know if maybe i'm maybe followed me like months ago. Because i said i hate avocados or something so so it might not be but i think to me and then i thought this through. Do i truly truly deeply care about this person not really like i wish them the best. But this is enough for me to chase. Don't think instagram followers. Were you like i do. I truly care about persons like nobody can. Have you know thirty one thousand followers and be like i truly care about each and every one of them. I'm sorry but yeah exactly and then also that says something about where that person is added if they maybe it's not even me maybe. He saw some of his friends liking the kkk. Post or the proud boys or something so it might not even be that. But i think maybe i'm extra sensitive because i definitely do fall in the center of a lot of things. I even be having mostly liberal friends and very liberal parents and stuff like i definitely have opposing views on some things in so but then it's like it sucks to be like cancelled like that but then i have to. Then that's that person attaching themselves to that to their own beliefs and not being open minded friends like to where else see them post like. You know i'm i'm going through and clean out. I my friend list if you know if you're an asshole or if you like this person if you voted for that person like you just follow me right now. What are we. I wonder. I wonder it's like okay. I get it. You're frustrated because you see the world going this one way that is sort of in the opposite way that you wanna go and i get that there are lots of people say dumb things i i. I don't like a lot of the politicians and government people. And i i agree but also i think if you surround yourself with people who only like you than what kind of world are you living in right. You're in an echo chamber antonio submit. It doesn't make sense like oh only but that's your choice. You know maybe you want your social media only be a place of happy similar ideals and that's that's your choice but i'm sort of like why wouldn't you want to be around people who have different opinions as long as they're not spewing like like hatred exactly. Maybe that is what this is right there like. I don't want to be friends with a proud boy. And i get that. Yeah i get that. I don't either but but also somebody is. Oh if you voted for this person then don't want to be your friend. But also like i don't know why did they vote for that person. What what information can you have. That conversation is. Is there a way to like be bigger than that. I wonder though if that's also like this that type of thing so specific to trump. Because like i feel like it will be decades before we have another republican candidate. That people are like crazy about of of you know kind of being. I don't know what we've what we've shown is sort of like the sensationalized idea is really hot. Yes that's true you know think about reality. Tv as it for started was interesting right the real world or something like that was really interesting. I'm watching inside voyeuristic idea and now it's like how can we watch people be so fucked up and it's like that's our most entertaining thing instead of it. Just like wow. It's kind of interesting to see strangers live together now. It's like it's like you want to get married in forty eight hours. It's like whoa be seven hundred pounds. It's like this is a little much much. but it's so sensationalized. I think politics has become the same way. It's like if you're not saying something obnoxious and rude and outrageous. Nobody's paying attention right. And that's a scary played. Jack sent me a mean that was like when your friend says that ben shapiro has and it was like someone blocking like. I don't wanna hear every now. And then i'm like no he. He's whining annoying. But every now and then i do agree hot opinion that i wonder if he'll fall so now krista leah's back the comedian back. How back in terms of he posted got cancelled. He's uncanceled himself and he's like i'm okay. He made an apology video. Who did yeah. What was it. It was basically him saying that he's had like a like a sex problem that he's been working on it and then he's ashamed his family and all that kind of stuff and then his p- i to this podcast. So i saw yesterday that it like duh. Ding dong dong dang. I'm for new onto that. It was ready. And i'm like oh my god a quick so fast. 'cause like i missed his podcast. I really did. And this is where. Maybe i'm like awful as i am a little bit forgiving of the situation because i'm like in their seventeen. I mean who knows. But i'm i'm i'm whoa. I could go see him again and like his comedy again. I'm okay with that. So i listened to his podcast and he did it like a masterful job of weaving back in and like. You didn't really even talk about this subject. He just talks about like being away for so long and now he's a child and a one year old so i feel like it's even harder for people to like hate on a new dad and so it was really interesting and i would love like do i forget. Do you like him or is that someone that you liked before inaugural never really liked him. it's not that i think like i've seen him live and I just never. He's got a weird following to his the people who follow him like i don't know something. I kind of crowd boise. I missed the boat on that. I'm much more into people. That will do well as the economy recovers are leading the way Higher the big tech stocks are lagging. But they are starting starting to look attractive to long term investors. Remember things never go straight in one direction for long. They go in both directions. And when we've seen these big tech stocks up for as long as they've been up when they pull back like this long-term investors smart long-term investors say they're on sale and now are interested in these levels according to analysts in doing some buying. Then there's the bond market bond yields have jumped sharply over the last few weeks as the yield on the ten year treasury rose from one to one point six percent some analysts say that rate may stabilize at this level for at least a while summer saying expect two percent by the end of the year. But if that stabilize here for a while it would be a positive. A plus for the markets yield on the ten year. This morning one point. Five eight and prices jumping dramatically over the weekend. "That have some academic rigor behind so the online classes. You've taken you have a network of people that that are giving you different perspectives around the country and perhaps opening up new markets. And now you have a hybridize situation that gives you a lot of advantages So answered your question mr shapiro. I think it's more appropriate when you're looking for sort of that you know i don't want to just sit in college and then go sit in a cubicle. After that i don't necessarily want to just work as a technician home my whole life. I want some sort of combination of that and this is where that kind of option can give you the flexibility to do that and then can give a situation where you're out of college you've got a degree but you don't have any debt us so you have some flexibility financially to start something to kick around some ideas. See kind of the devil's advocate. Question would be. Couldn't people do this anyway. Like i mean. Obviously you're providing a service and helping trying to help you promote that people could go. People could work during college. People take a year off. I mean gap years or super popular right now but i think to some degree. It's a mindset. There's sort of a a freedom that That same listen it's okay to pursue other things. It's okay not to just go and study this and the quote unquote traditional way is is there anything and i know. We're coming up against time. We're going to keep to keep going to watch. But what what what. What kind of gets you up in the morning. John i is what gets you excited is is it helping. The people is it. Seeing success stories is it is it just feel like you're contributing to the world. Is it all the above amusing things that educators tend to feel. But you know you're in you're in it's sort of a unique situation even between that or among that. So is there something that you know just really gets you fired up for this. I mean you you took on a company to going to be gig trying to really promote this. So what kind of Get your tea pot cooking so to speak. You know i think anybody that sort of does something entrepreneurial and the risks that come with it. You have to have something. That's almost ridiculous on on your horizon. Line that kind of keeps you motivated. And so what. Keeps me motivated as i in this. I'm not suggesting. Wendy do this album myself. I'm not suggesting this is the only person that can accomplish this. But i get up every morning thinking about how i can reinvent higher education. I worked in traditional higher education. I loved it in a love. The school that i worked for. I had wonderful colleagues had a great experience but also got to the point where i thought this doesn't make sense for the people that i'm working with. All of people does for some but doesn't work and the and the people that did make sense for starting to creep up in my mind. And i got to the point where i thought. I'm making a living asking people to make bad financial decisions because i got a kid coming here. Who's trying to borrow seventy thousand dollars to get a music degree. They teach music at high school and that math is never going to turn out very for thirty one thousand dollars straight and i didn't think it was the fault of the school. I didn't think the system is kind of gotten top that way. There's a whole different conversation how we got there and then i started working in seeing these students. There's people out there that you know. And i don't want get too off track here but i think the kind of sort of entrepreneurial can-do community minded spirit that makes the us special..

"To go to anthony. Scaramucci of skybridge capital anthony. His company recently launched a crypto fund. I think they raised three hundred million dollars and put it in a crypto. Most of it probably in bitcoin not really sure The makeup of the fund. I know they're trying to get more money all the time. One of my clients forward me a solicitation he got an email from scaramucci trying to get him to invest in crypto fund. So they're really pushing this thing hard and i read an interview. Yesterday was scare mucci in which she specifically referenced the big run-up in game stop stock and said. Hey look. this is proof that bitcoin can work. And that shows you how little he actually understands bitcoin because his example of why bitcoin is going to work. Actually pruse that. It's going to fail because it's a fact that game stop is going up. Despite the fact that it has lousy fundamentals the market prices rising even though the real value. The company may be zero because the company may be going bankrupt and it may never make a profit so what his point is that look not making. A profit is in stopping game. Stop from going up right. It doesn't really have any value but the price is going way up so that proves bitcoin can work because it proves that something with no value can go up well. It doesn't prove bitcoin can work. It just validates. The same dynamic. Is bitcoin that something with no value can go up as long as they're supply of fools who don't know or don't care but of course what scaramucci doesn't seem to understand is that game stop will not go up forever. Crash is inevitable. The only question is when so. If you're going to base your outlook on bitcoin on game stop and say hey. Bitcoin is just like game. Stop well then. You're admitting that bitcoin is going to collapse. Because it has to because it has no actual value. It's not an investment. It doesn't pay interest. It doesn't pay dividends. it doesn't pay rants. It's not a commodity. You can't use it for anything. It is nothing it is simply a digital token that is only useful if speculators wanna buy it and speculators only wanna buy if they think other buyers will buy it from them at a higher price right so by pointing out or trying to bring up game stop as somehow validating. Bitcoin just is the ultimate irony. And it just shows you how little people i mean i think anthony scaramucci may end up. Going down as one of the greatest. Maybe the greatest institutional fool for arriving late to the party. I'm pretty sure. They put that three hundred million dollars in when bitcoin was closer to forty thousand than it is. Now i mean right now. Bitcoin is just above thirty thousand around thirty one thousand. It actually traded below thirty thousand earlier in the day managed to rally back into the clothes. Know the gray scale. Bitcoin trust on the lows. This morning was almost down ten percent. And i think it may have traded to a slight discount to veer pretty much flat it pared its losses by the close with the bitcoin rally. So it was only down about a half percent by the close but the tentacles are starting to deteriorate on bitcoin and the fact that bitcoin is not going up with all these other stocks that are heavily shortage stocks. Maybe it also shows that the bitcoin speculators moving on to greener pastures so. They're no longer in bitcoin. They've moved onto something else and that could also spell trouble for bitcoin. But another thing. I've noticed too about anthony scaramucci as he stopped following me on twitter. He used the follow me. And i've spoken at maybe..

Scaramucci scaramucci anthony scaramucci ten percent three hundred million dollars anthony Yesterday forty thousand above thirty thousand scare mucci around thirty one thousand zero This morning about a half percent twitter one below thirty thousand One of my clients bitcoin stop

"thirty one thousand" Discussed on No Agenda

"Staying the morning everybody. I'm out of curry and from northern silicon valley where apparently donald trump is still president. I'm john cedar skills. Oh man oh. Wow this is so interesting why you read. The thing i posted on the social would actually happened. No but let me guess. Because i back up one second and we'll see if this if this corroborates first of all i haven't contacted anybody who had Give me all of these reasons. Why donald trump would be our president. Today i've waited. I'm waiting to see if they contact me and also observing what they're doing in public than what they're saying and oh my goodness we're going back fifteen years in time and we are now returning. Can't believe this is the doing this. We are now returning to. The united states was sold and into a yellow. Yeah oh yeah. It turned into a corporation. And what happened on. And what happened. On inauguration day with joe biden became president of the corporation which is now surrounded by the military. Donald trump will be after military tribunal. Trials will become president of the true united states and then he'll get us back on the gold standard and save the world. That is literally what i'm hearing. I've heard this from fifteen years and you know what it may all be true. Your name is an upper case. You're of the state audit. Have we not done this. All have shares. No you are the actual asset of the corporation of the united network. That's where we can do all this spending is that is that where You postal now. What i posted was this person by the way this effort went by. Oh cars eight railcars ladies and gentlemen. We have a special economic zephyr report. Alert the guys over at cnbc. It looks like joe. Biden is getting us back on track pun intended bitcoin down and currently at thirty one thousand three hundred and forty three wrath. Hard that would have been equivalent if they had the male carbon nine car train anyway and nine nine cards. Jesus crazy holidays. Operation peration warp speed. Baby i have no idea why. There's so. many cars training poge john. Hello so he. So here's how it goes you what you miss was over the weekend. I deal less or no. I missed something. Yeah yeah over the weekend biden and a good portion of the senators and a all these people. Brian arrests were all arrested. And so it was agreed that because it would be tough on the concrete or deal with all these arrests and buying being camel that they decided that they'll go through the play the game so they're running things but in trump is really in charge is really in charge and he will. He will resign his office which has to do. But that's a fake is still in charge and these guys are just going to be going through. The motions is bullcrap. Well this is why i said. Resetting the simulation because seriously fifteen years ago this was this was the number one and probably before conspiracy theories were really known such as conspiracy and everything became a conspiracy theory and i researched this now and this is the kind of stuff that wesley snipes went to jail over. Because from this you get the logical conclusion that Taxation is illegal and people go to jail for this stuff whether it's true or not people go to jail for it now. There was another data. Point is that biden traveled to the inauguration not on the traditional military plane but on a civilian private plane and the national guardsmen during. The motorcade all turned their backs. This is true. Actually video mall turning their backs on on biden. So yeah you know what sand me a memo when you've got it all figured out because they have other stuff to do now. I do have an ethic for guy. I forgot all about that corporation nonsense jr. It's like right back in your face. Here's a worthy of playing. Since crack and by the way will the cracking his here. Jobless claims increase as 742,000 Americans file for first-time unemployment

"These numbers are ugly. It's a warning another seven hundred and forty two thousand. Americans filed for state unemployment benefits last week. That's an increase of about thirty one thousand from the prior week. This is the first time in five weeks that we are seeing an increase. The data suggests the economic recovery is being threatened by a rise in covid cases. The us is in jeopardy really of recording a double dip recession similar to what we're seeing in europe. Play out right now. It's really troubling. A you know end likely indicative of what we're going to see in the next few weeks you know. As cases continue to soar again and new restrictions are put in place in cities in states across the country. This is worrying too as we could see more layoffs coming so overall nearly twenty million americans are currently on some form of unemployment need. And then there's this red flag four point four million americans are receiving pandemic emergency unemployment compensation. This number is up from one point. Four million in august. That's the program for people who have been unemployed for months and exhausted their regular unemployment in prince it is expected to end on december. Twenty six if congress does not act. That's the day after. Christmas and conger so far has failed to agree on any new stimulus package. Four jobless individuals and struggling businesses. So we really need to be prepared for. What's to come

What's the Largest Lake in the World?

"Siberia's Lake Cal is not your average. Lake. At forty, nine miles wide by three hundred and ninety, five miles long that seventy, nine by six, hundred and thirty, five kilometers. It's the world's largest freshwater lake and with history that dates back twenty, five, million years it's also Earth's oldest. But size and age aren't the only things that make this. Lake. Special. Lake by cow is also home to more than three thousand, seven, hundred different species, many of which are only found in the Baikal region. That's why by cows often considered the Galapagos of Russia. No in case it's bio-diversity doesn't dazzle you here's another but Julia fact. Lake by cow has its own version of the Loch ness monster. Its name translates to water dragon master and it's described as a giant sturgeon with a prominent stout, an armored plating along the back. The monsters history goes back centuries with ancient carvings depicting this terrifying creature. Interest peaked we thought. So here's a starter guide to this ancient beautiful and mysterious late, which is by the way a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lake Baikal is located in southern Russia near the border of Mongolia, its depth of five thousand, three, hundred feet about one thousand, six, hundred meters makes it the world's deepest lake about five hundred feet or two hundred meters it's also famous for its clarity of water and ice. When the lake is frozen, you can see dozens of meters or hundreds of feet down. And as we said at the top, it's also the world's largest lake that size twelve, thousand, two, hundred, square miles, or thirty one, thousand, six, hundred square kilometers makes it comparable in volume to the entire Amazon Basin? A first scale? It reportedly takes about three hundred and thirty years for single water molecule to flow from inlet to inlet. So. How did like by cow get so massive About twenty, five, million ago lake by CAL formed through fractures and shifting within Earth's crust. It wasn't Lake Baikal as we know it. Now, though experts believe it was a series of lakes similar to the Great Lakes in the United States while scientists aren't positive how lake by CAL went for many lakes to the behemoth. It is today they do have theories. It could have been sinking earth erosion earthquakes or increased water from melting glaciers although it's likely a mix of these factors and more. That unifying change took place in the pleasing epoch about five point three to two point five million years ago. But this lake isn't finished growing. It's expanding at a rate of about point seven inches to centimeters every year at the same speed at which Africa in South America are drifting apart. At this speed, some scientists believe lake by Baikal is actually an ocean in the making. The lake boasts twenty-seven islands, the largest of which spans two, hundred, eighty square miles or seven, hundred, twenty, five square kilometers and has its own lake mountains and the population of fifteen hundred residents. The locals connected to power van underwater cable in two, thousand and five, and we're connected to the Internet shortly after. Some Call Lake by Cao, the Galapagos of Russia not only because it has an impressive array of those nearly four thousand species but also because eighty percent of those animals are found nowhere else. One reason for this unique biodiversity is the lakes. Array of hydrothermal vents which are commonly found in oceans but lake by cow is the only freshwater lake known to have them. Cold water from the lake enters cracks in the Earth's crust through these hydrothermal vents. When the water reaches magma, it heats up, then returns resurfacing with minerals and heat. These rich minerals are probably the reason some of the lakes most unusual species were able to develop including several unique fish and the nerpa seal species, which is the only exclusively freshwater seal species in the world and its evolution is mysterious and some scientists believe it arrived by a prehistoric river from the Arctic But beyond seals fish other common animals found in the forests and mountains surrounding Lake Baikal include. Elk. Reindeer links wild-boar, and of course, the lakes frequently reported water dragon master. And this ancient lake has another air of mystery about it. UFO sightings. Many locals have reported strange lights and alien spacecraft throughout the years and several Soviet era documents mention ufo instance in sightings around Earth's largest lake. However for all of its natural wonder, amazing wildlife end stranger sides for lake cows one hundred, thousand permanent residents it's simply home. Made, occupations are forestry agriculture, fisheries, hunting, and tourism though that's currently on hold due to covid nineteen. Here's hoping they opened back up soon.

Women's earnings drop after having a child—but men's do not

"Retiree planning isn't easy for anyone, but it's particularly challenging for women. They generally earn less more likely to spend time out of the workforce caring for family members and live longer, which is a good thing in general, but it means a tyrant savings have to last longer. A recent report from the Brookings Institution qualified some of these challenges first off, they cite study, which found that women with one child earns twenty percent less on average over her career that a woman without a child in contrast becoming a father typically does not reduce man's earnings. A women are also likely to then men to care for their aging parents responsibility that predominantly falls a women over the age of fifty. So. People who leave the labor force early to care for a parent or other elderly relatives. Lose on average one, hundred, forty, two, thousand dollars in wages. So obviously people who earn less can't save as much. So that's one reason why they might be behind in retirement savings, but the report also quantified the impact until security benefits, which is the number one source of income for most retirees. Here's what the report concluded. Women Receive Social Security benefits that are on average. Eighty percent of those that men receive and having a first child reduces a woman social security benefits through durst earnings than average of sixteen percent and each additional kid increases gap a two percent and then women who leave work to care for an elderly family member not only lose wages but they also lose an average one, hundred, thirty, one thousand in lifetime social security benefits.

First leap second added to UTC - June 30, 1972

"Today June thirtieth twenty twenty. The Day was June thirtieth nineteen seventy-two. At eleven fifty nine PM. In sixty seconds, a leap second was added to coordinate universal time to synchronize clocks with earth decelerating rotation. The second has been defied many different ways over the years at one point, it was defined as one eighty, six, thousand, four, hundred of the mean, solar day, but more precise measurement was needed because the length of day varies depending on many factors like seasonal daily weather variations as well as. In atmosphere tides. By nineteen, sixty seven, the second was defined as and I quote the duration of nine, billion, one, hundred, ninety, two, million, six, hundred, thirty, one, thousand, seven, hundred and seventy periods of the radiation, corresponding to the transition between the two hyper fine levels of the ground state of the Caesium went thirty three atom. This was the measurement that the international system of units or as I used since thin. The wording of the official definition has been updated slightly. Atomic clocks keep time with. Precision on atomic clocks, a day is exactly eighty six thousand four hundred PSI seconds. International Atomic time is a timescale that is computed by taking the weighted average of more than four hundred atomic clocks around the world. It's not connected to any astronomical observations. Universal time on the other hand is a time standard that is based on earth, rotation and astronomical observations coordinated universal time or ut is under the umbrella of universal time, which also includes ut zero ut, wine, ut, when our and ut to unlike other versions of Universal Time Utd is determined by International Atomic time. Though the practice of ut was already being coordinated internationally. The International Astronomical Union didn't adopt the name coordinated universal time until nineteen sixty seven. Coordinated. Universal time is the primary standard by which the world regulates time. But Earth's rotation as measured by UT, one is gradually slowing so that the length of a rotational day is about two milliseconds longer than the eighty six thousand four hundred seconds. It was two centuries ago. That means that there's a discrepancy between ut. See in ut wine. Scientists determined that Ut. To count for the difference between the definition of the second Earth's rotation, this keeps ut in line with the apparent position of the Sun and Stars in other words, a second would need to be added to or removed from clocks to realign them with patient occasionally. Scientists specified that you TC shows deviate more than nine tenths of a second from ut one so on June thirtieth nineteen, seventy, two. The I league second was added to ut. The international earth rotation in reference. System Service decides went at a leap. Second one is typically added either on June, thirtieth or December thirty first. From nine hundred seventy to one thousand, nine hundred nine leap seconds per at it at a rate of about one per year after that they've been added less frequently, there have been twenty-seven leap seconds since nineteen seventy two, the most recent leaf second was added on December Thirty First Twenty sixteen. Many people have called for the elimination of leaks, seconds, and the replacement of ut see with a new system leap seconds have caused problems for some computer systems since they're not that predictable can't be anticipated far in advance. And they'll need to be added more frequently as Earth's rotation continues to slow down. Some people who support abolishing leap seconds argue that it doesn't matter whether our perception of time changes along with the rotation of earth since that would happen over a long time anyway.
