Do the Warriors need Kevin Durant to beat the Blazers?
"Before going down with this strain right calf in game five of their series against the rockets. K D was averaging thirty four points in thirty nine minutes per game. The warriors were able to take care of the rockets and six about Katie the Richard. They need him to come back quickly to win this series against the blaze. No. And I'll say. With with the warriors only had to play good basketball. Right. And they could beat everyone else without him. They have to play great basketball, and they are capable of playing great basketball. So they don't need him. But the level of focus that they have to play with and their room for error, obviously Rauscher substantially, but if the warriors played great basketball, even without Katie they can still win a championship. I feel like with Steph smiling like you you kinda saw him. Look, they he knows that they need K D. But there was a little rice smile on steps face when he was doing what he was doing in Houston. Yeah. I mean, I remember talking to staff the first year that Kevin Durant got there. And there was a pride to him that he doesn't like to show us. Sometimes there's a, you know, if they didn't get Kevin Durant. Like, she still believes that he can go and be the guy that wants Seventy-three game without Kevin Durant. So I I think they're in this place now where they they believe they can beat the blazers. I think they would have a harder time in the finals if they get past Portland because they won't have the best player on the court. Right, right. If you're John. Janas or choi- if they don't get to if they get to the finals? I don't think they have the best player in the court and in years. Do you think he's do you think why this better than Hawaii? What I'll say this. I'll say that Steph before Katie got their one-two MVP. Right. And then he took a step back because Kevin Durant was so great. So I'm not ready to say that camping Durant off that team that Steph isn't a top two or top three player. Like you saw what he did in that second hand he had his worst half ever followed up by his best happy ever. So that lets you know that there's a lot more in their him and Claire both in their prime. Right. I agree. It's close clear both in their probably this series, though comes down to whether or not the warriors back court can stop the trailblazers back, quite right. And when we say words backwards. I don't mean. Stephan Klay, trying to stop Damian CJ. I mean, Andrea thank Klay matching up with CJ. Dave. And that is historically been a tough match-up for those. Yeah. No, it's going to be a great match up. I think the fact that both of these teams are banged up. Right. I think you've gotta give both of these teams a credit for being so greedy. So tough not worried about their team who's not healthy. We're just going to go out there and play our best basketball. And I think as a compliment to them the these two teams have two of the three top scoring back courts in the NBA warriors were second and the blazers were third Houston was number one. With James harden having this crazy season with that said when you encompass everything offense defense, the whole thing. How close are these two backwards? I think I still give the warriors. Yeah. Right. Because I'm I'm also including Andre Goodall in that. Because I I he he does take that defensive match up when they go against CJ it. I mean, it's it's closed. They've narrowed the gap, but you know, Klay Thompson as a two way player. I don't think there's anybody on the blazers who could match what he does Andrei as two way player.

"I think Portland will would typically bullied teams and they're getting bullied a little bit. So yeah. And Portland not an amazing road team, though, they they won one already in Denver now. But you gotta think the minutes in this series are going to weigh toll at some point. I know there's more arrests. But still they they got so fuck with the schedule though. 'cause the first four games were all one night rest. It made no sense. Every. Every other series had at least two games rests on the travel because small market those are that's the small market series. I know, but they get fucked. Like, I mean, the fact that Yogesh played thirty nine minutes. Triple double a day after sixty five with his body is it's insane. We test can test that blood. Well, I think that even plays back to Kramer, your point earlier where saying that this short amount of rest, and these crazy games. You know, why not take the team that conditions at elevations. No, I do think that I I would assume there's a implicit advantage there just from them being at five thousand feet more of their playing career or playing season. I'm laying the point Sean the home team. I'm still thinking this. What what did I pick originally Portland and seven that sounds right 'cause I had Portland win the west. I'm little surprised and Denver has been very impressive to me. Yeah. Here's a live team to advance certainly. And that. Would be an interesting ten versus either one of these teams. I think is interesting just because so different. It's different. I mean joke each is just a match up nightmare and you factor in the elevations. You factor that Denver and Portland to some degree. They feel like real teams where Houston Golden State kind of feel especially Golden State now feels like a bunch of mercenaries, and they're all just like they're all ready to clock out. It's a metaphor for the Silicon Valley. Right. Exactly. Yeah. They just drink their cold brew coffee. Don't make eye contact or next all pirates. But if Denver and even Portland those feel like true teams now. To magin them, overcoming the insane talent disparity that you get a goal Golden State team. It's a lot. But at least will be super interesting. I think this is more fun. This NBA playoffs is the most one. I can remember in a while. I remember last year me whining like oh sweet. So LeBron vs warriors again. Cool. Yeah. And it just happened. This this year. I I feel like it's it's wide open. This. We this year. Sean anyone can win it. It's anyone's game. It really is Sean. I mean with the exception of Boston. I still think I mean, the east is wide open. Yep. Speaking of the Sixers heading to Toronto tonight Tuesday night at five oh, five west coast. Mybookie dot AG. They got the spread set at a six minus two sixty on the money line, plus two ten Sixers total to eleven and a half. Okay..

But you know, I may I think when you're looking at that morass right now below the warriors that they're certainly playing as well as anybody with that elite defensive unit. Yeah. Nick and be a wonderful regular season team. 'cause they just get everybody out of the stuff. They wanna run they have quality defense all over the floor. And even though I've russes inconsistent inspertity kinda like trigger is defensively. Those guys have physical tools and can try. So when they do that helps in nam so much talent outside of them Krant in the starting lineup helps to and Adams's, but an appreciated defender now for years, let's Jim briefly to clippers pelicans. I thought he played well, I thought they defended well against the clippers when he was on the floor, and that's something that a team scores one twenty nine to game. But then they got absolutely pummeled when Davis was not on the floor. I think I saw something that they're defensive rating during those minutes was like a one ninety which is incredible young end up Wesley's center, then in the MVP discussion the massive on differential between when he doesn't play. You know, they're by far worse than the league level defense and their he'll right around a top ten unit when he does play. Yeah. Davis played thirty nine minutes game be kept really ask him. "Standard wrap things up here. We can live with you know, three thirty nine minutes to share some conversation. Some thoughts still want to talk about whether you want that computer chip in your hand feel free to call again since one thousand Swedes and plant microchips in their hands and allow them to pay for food get into offices without keys travel on trains, and the like that I'm not sure if we're ready for that yet that's a little bit too mister robot for me. I think say sticks reference. I can't believe three o'clock in the morning. I put into sticks reference mister robot. Oh, but that's that's a little bit too nineteen Eighty-four big brother stuff for me. Something else that came across my desk. I wanted to share with you. You know, you don't see very often victories for the little guy. These days. You and me the average schmo as it were and in one particular area to I'm one of the jokes that still has a landline. I know I know what's the matter with you dean, but I can't help it because this is what I I've gone through. I of course, I have a cell phone, but I have a landline too. I thought it was always good to have a landline that used to be more secure, blah, blah, blah or four that's not necessarily the case anymore. So I've tried to get rid of the landline and invariably. I have a conversation that goes something like this. I'll call my cable company because I have cable service and web service and the landline through the same company insert, the company of your choice. I don't think it really matters which one it is mine. Well, I don't want to give the name. It it rhymes with bond cast. So I called them up. And I say, hey, I really want to lower my Bill. And they say, well, Mr. Johnson, thank you for calling here. We've got this offer bub-bubba. Clinton, and I say. A month than what I'm paying now. Right. Well, you get all these. No, no. I said down. I wanted to go down can I lower my Bill. Well, this is a brand new offer. This'll be good for you. With. No, no, see wrong direction Ron direction. We're going up. Again. They don't wanna go up down down. Tell you what how about if I drop my phone service. And I just keep web service and my cable. And invariably inevitably. This is what happens every time. It will cost more for me. To just get to services from my cable company, then if I package all three together, and you're saying that defies all basic rules of math physics and reality. And I save you. You are absolutely correct. Which says a great deal about the state of cable television now so I'm trying to get rid of my stupid landline? But I can't because I will be ending up paying more. For my cable and web service. Then if I keep my phone with the other two services. One person said, well, Mr. Johnson, I always tell people to see and Comcast dance for change. Good for her. So I have the I still have a landline. And I don't really even pick up the phone anymore. I just let everything go right to my voicemail. Because inevitably if someone dear national grid customer click. Ring ring ring pick it up. Don't hang up the phone click or somebody else will call and they'll say, you know, you're having computer problems click. But recently there have been some victories. For the little guy. And this is from the New York Times. Actually, if you having the same issues with you, landlines the robo calls and everything else. And you want to share your pain or you have a solution. Call six one seven two five four ten thirty six one seven two five four ten thirty or eight eight eight nine two nine ten thirty. It's an ongoing cocoa question. Here's why you know, it's a serious problem. But what point the government offered a cash reward to anybody who could offer a solution to deal with these kind of calls? So when the government is stymied enough where they're offering a cash reward to someone who can help them you get an idea of how bad the problem is. Broaches subjects awhile back in a different way. One of the callers, you guys you guys are smart. He got just so smart one of the callers when it was alive person calling. Although you can even do some of the robo attend to react to your voices. He said I just gave the phone in my four year old and walk away and let the four you talk to them till they found me hang up in frustration is going. Yes. Yes. One for us one for the good guys. But here this came out of the New York Times just recently to make you feel a little bit better. Does the messages they pop up on your computer screen with ominous warnings like your computer has been infected with a virus? Call our toll free number immediately for help. Often. They look like alerts from Microsoft or apple or semantic. Sometimes the warning comes in a phone call. I tend to get the phone calls. I don't know about you. We we we would they they say they say they're coming from a legitimate company or system they've been able to detect that I have virus. Getting back to the article in the times that the most people ignore these entreaties, which are invariably scams. One in five recipients, actually talks to the fake tech support centers. Six percent ultimately pay the operators to quote, fix end of quote, the non existent problem. According to recent consumer surveys by Microsoft. I don't get these calls so often anymore. I think word must be out on me because they would call and say, oh, you we have problems we have we can detect you've got a virus in your Microsoft, Microsoft system, rather than hang up or something for some reason I began to waste my time by actually trying to shame. These guys. Don't don't bother. But they do that. Now. Let's see. Okay. So you've been able to detect that I have a virus? Yes. Yes. We have this to Johnson. And I would say, so what brand is my computer. It's microsoft. I said, no, no that's an operating system. If you know I have virus. What's the actual brand of my computer? It's Microsoft, you're not listening to what I'm saying. That's the operating system. You don't know the brand of my computer, do you because you don't. And then then, of course, they hang up, and I I used to get morbid pleasure out of that. And I just can't even waste my time. But here is a where I'm saying the little guys you would win an occasional victory. Law enforcement authorities working with Microsoft have now traced many of these boiler rooms to New Delhi. India's capital in a hub of the global call center industry, recently police from to Delhi suburbs. Rated sixteen fake tech support centers and arrested about three dozen people. I'm going to stop here. Now in in your mind. I want you to imagine rapturous applause. That they did this. They actually broke into rated rather sixteen fake tech support centers and arrested about three dozen people last month Delhi. Authorities arrested twenty four people in similar raids on ten call centers. In one of those suburbs near Delhi? Fifty police officers swept into eight centers, the senior super tended police said the scammers had extracted money from thousands. Of victims most of them American or Canadian. And in these cases, I think they're preying mostly an older people people of a certain age they're intimidated by. Heck, I think everyone does her degrees intimidated by the new technology, but older ones, especially I I've got a virus on my computer Ono. They're gonna steal all my information. You you must do something about that. And of course, it's not the case at all. In fact, the the motorcycle Randy or as they said, the method of operation send a pop up on people systems using a fake Microsoft logo. You've got me. You must contact us right away problems problems. Ooh. Your computer will start smoking. Ooh. My books blow not really. But you you get the idea after victims contact the call centre, the operator pretending to be a Microsoft employee would tell them that their system had been hacked or attack by virus the victims would then be offered a package of services ranging from ninety nine two thousand dollars to fix the problem. Except there is no problem. They were just able to somehow sneak that message on to the screen or make the phone call. To say, we've we've detected where with Microsoft and we've detected you have a problem with your computer. The scams of widespread. Microsoft knows about it. They're kind of like been going nuts. Trying to deal with it. And it looks like it finally started a victory for the little guy have you gone through this. Do you have some solutions or do you want to warn people about it? Give us a call at the time. We have left six one seven two five four ten thirty or eight nine two nine ten thirty last break of the shift and then right back to conversation here WBZ. This weekend live on WBZ NewsRadio ten thirty today. My new dad threw a barbecue today. My new son. And I threw a barbecue. There were burgers and chicken. I burned everything the burgers..

"What I like most about this with the exception of this game skill. He's getting these numbers plan, thirty minutes. Thirty two minutes. Not those thirty eight thirty nine minutes that he was logging last year. Now, he's getting these type numbers with their fishing shooting that three ball about he missed his many free throws three yesterday. But it's going to be a time. You don't get eighty percent. He goes shoot around. I might get you a bit forty percent for the year for three. Seriously. You might white throw it out there unless you're going to actually do nineteen twenty nineteen come around. I gotta talk to him. I got to put a call into it. That was gutless on your part. You toss it out there. Like, you're going to do it right now back off right now. I'll take it right now. I'm gonna host at it with my eighty percent from the free throw line, but he's a career thirty five percent free three point shooter. And that even though and a career thirty five gets better there one twenty three one eight twenty and even shoot threes, and they shot on just shoot him as good as he give go and say, you realize that you're going to lose another case do to me because there's no way LeBron's going to shoot eighty percent from the free throw line. He steadily plunging plunging seven of ten last night. So that's seventy plumbing. No, he's still shoot seventy five percent, right. Well, you're not gonna make it. We're gonna make you're not gonna make would you saw thirteen. I think it's my term. It is your thank you. So I would like our court reporter to duly note that Shannon Sharpe. Just went go James on a game at Miami against a heat team that came into the game. Six and nine with. No, Dwayne Wade six and nine and you are celebrating fifty one points against that team that looks like just a shell of its of what the heat used to look like really what made them. So that's an by the way, you said he's getting this on low minutes. He played almost thirty nine minutes laugh with acceptable this game on Wednesday night. How many minutes did he play when he got that forty four. I don't remember. I don't care. All I cared about was I made the mistake of having watched that game on Saturday night at Orlando. And LeBron made the mistake of well, we're in the west. So we got jetlagged. Okay. Stop it. It's not like you never got jetlag when you were in Cleveland flying to LA, right, right? Just stop it. The back the back, and they were pathetic on Saturday night. Especially in the defensive end because I thought magic was going to go off about what happened at the magic. Because I never seen so many blow buys. It's just like even LeBron. He just looking around like am I supposed to guardian now? Maybe maybe you were going to guard him. Maybe nobody was gardening and Busa vich just went crazy. They have nobody Tyson couldn't deal with him. Vail couldn't deal with him. He goes for what thirty six and thirteen thirty six and thirteen. So he's campaign with when he gets going like that skip. I mean because you don't you don't expect a guy his size to be able to shoot the three as proficient as he does. So you really did LeBron's team loss. That game one thirty two one seventeen then LeBron got to go back to an arena where he's very comfortable loved it there. He had once left. Okay. But he loved playing there, and he loves shooting there because I remember that one fateful night. 'cause I watch every LeBron game Charlotte. You remember the name and twenty four had to mask who we had math. Wow. He was just he made eight threes that night he's made eight twice in his career. He is capable of going crazy hot, and he is capable of going crazy cold. And then he is capable of getting away with something at the end of the game last night. He should not want. Well, what do you do? Lebron goes back into stuff to stat hit eighty lead below out. He's plays most of the fourth quarter, although below out so he can stuff his stat sheet..

But is that swing foot offenses or taking pitches that you'd probably should be swinging at taking swinging for the fences you offensive? Yes. See, I think you get a couple of foul balls. You take a pitch that you shouldn't be taken a wide striking out. Run the triple drill and good bunting. Well, Kershaw did a good job on the trip. Kershaw looked like he was about to die. When he went, I third than they didn't send going around happy birthday to Chuck Berry do what he plays whenever Kershaw pitches. Tammy wynette. You like Tammy, Wynette key. I've never heard her. Jose Mourinho teetering as Man United's awful week ends in West Ham woe
"West Ham hosting Manchester, United. What's been a difficult week for United Josie. Marino big decision here, leaving Alexis Sanchez. Out of the eighteenth early on West Ham goes head in the six minute Poudel salad that Anderson here look show goes to sleep offsite, not govern then Philippi. I'm this love flake to shock. Good ball in from Atlanta west off the great styles. Reno's men down in the six minute nearly get back here in the twenty third new Kaku off the post finless the, yeah, the goes against him does real together across his month. Thirty ninth minute chance for United Scott Mattamy down in the box must have been a gust of would not according to marina wasn't. Never creek forty third minute another for West Ham, Andre Yarmolenka gonna just kind of throw this one towards goal gets a lucky bounce to nothing. I know famous Demonte. He's he's trying to obviously share with them. Away from gold deals comes out. He works on his left foot was a big deflation. Close them quicken off sixty four th minute. Little bit of a response from United cross comes in great. Save from Nukus tabby ounce, good shave beyond severe crucial point a game on other crystal point in the game was the talking point of the whole week, an accountancy poke poke who started, but let's be honest, did not play well and was taken off Marcus rash furred in gets the goal seventy. First minutes. Suddenly we've got a game Marino feeling good, Arcus Rushworth another talking point. You get Madrid, fields talking points remind United why he doesn't get more game time. One of them seventy four th minute. Are not which one on one pass Mark noble and that'll do it. Anybody wants to defend great finish my not which was injured the week before back in the side, capped off a fine day for the most three one. The final scores second win of the season for West Ham, United seven matches played just ten points to show for it. Here's Josie. Marino had to say after the defeat. The last couple of games about maybe a lack of intensity. Was that a problem again today? Well, I think at him team that comes with that mental fragility of the bed results coming here and after five minutes is is losing one Neil is not the best way to start. Off-site, but no VR in visine Lanzmann mistake and angle makes tunnel where. Where we know that Jamil inquiries very, very, very left-footed. We know that we have to to cover that side. We have Matete John on the ball with have looked show and and Lindelof very close by. We are not aggressive and intense enough to close that that short and then mail losing to new. And then instead of linesmen mistake is the referee's mistake is an fall is a fallen on Marcus rush. Wirtz Zabaleta doesn't have an attempt to play the ball just just. Pool the player from Heinz. "thirty nine minutes" Discussed on WGN Radio
"On seven twenty WGN. It's twelve fifty three. Okay. When's the last time you took a lunch hour, not a lunch break, not a lunch half hour a lunch hour, it's probably been a long long time. In fact, the recent study shows that the average lunch break now is about thirty nine minutes. That's down four minutes down from forty three minutes in two thousand fourteen we are not stopping to smell the tuna melt on a phone line. Now is Michelle REIs door for vice president at Robert Half, a regional vice president and Michelle welcome back to the biz lunch. Thank you. So you guys were looking at lunch breaks. Right. And the fact that well is the story that we're not taking them. Or is the story that people are taking them more than we thought. They're taking them. But the length of time that they're taking is definitely down from the last Thursday and probably not getting away for a real recharge as they may be having the. Yeah. So that's nice is it important to I've been talking about the importance of getting to recharge of lunchtime. But I don't know if it really is true. I mean is that something that we need to do? Definitely I think workload increased in companies all across the country. And so even getting at thirty minute recharge makes you more focused and definitely probably easier to work with in the afternoon. And that's what we want. I don't care if I'm easy to work with I want my co workers to be easier to work with exactly the average break is thirty nine minutes. How does Chicago compared to the national average? Chicago actually, forty two minutes, which is six the kick one of the twenty eight market that we surveyed. Thirty nine minutes it down low forty three minutes in two thousand fourteen kind of surprised that we are on the higher end. I'm looking here. I see that San Francisco L in Miami lunch. The longest maybe I get the Miami and Ella king. I wouldn't have put San Francisco in that group. The overall weather, right? Coastal cities tends to be better year round that average. Better year round where some of the other cities don't have a great long summers. So what you're saying? So then the shortest breaks are in Des Moines and Cincinnati, and there's just nothing to do outside in those cities. Receive? So what are the most of us do during our breaks? If it comes to recharging, how do we recharge? Well, interestingly enough a lot of people are spending time on technology. Fifty.
Trump administration to send U.S. cellphones a test alert on Thursday
"And get somebody just texted me and said, you better watch it about informing people how to disable amber alerts and all that on on your phone because we operate at the pleasure of the FCC. Unlike other businesses, accept airlines and things like that that that operate under the the view the FAA. Our license is granted, and I know first amendment Schmertz amendment. You don't have a right to just put up a stick at six forty amplitude modulations six hundred forty kilohertz and start broadcasting rust. You can't do that. If c c regulates that and also regulates things that go out of my pie hole into this microphone right there. And so I'm going to back off on informing you, but if you want to you can just do a Google search for disable alerts IOS, Android, you know, whatever it's actually pretty simple. But anyway, I'll get to the Russia. China thing let's kind of a deal. But I I guess this is a lot more serious than than I thought it is. It is a it's a done deal here. It's going to happen on Thursday, the very first presidential alert. The Trump administration is going to send all US cellphones. Attest alert on Thursday. The Trump administration will send a message to all US cell phones on Thursday to test a previously unused alert system that aims to warn the public about national emergencies. The message will bear the headline presidential alert the Federal Emergency Management agency or fee Ma said in a statement this week the phones will make loud tone and have a special vibration said FEMA, which will send the alert the test message, which will be at two eighteen PM eastern daylight time that would be eleven eighteen AM Pacific standard time in Los Angeles on Thursday at eleven eighteen AM, you will get a message were they super special vibration, and it will read quote all caps. This is a test. The normal case of the national wireless. Emergency alert system. No action is needed close quote. The test has been scheduled to ensure that the alert system would work in the event of national emergency US cellphone users will not be able to opt out so start the freaking out at this point. I you know, that the people from the far left and the far-right are gonna this is red meat. This is absolute red meat. And like I said the back story here is that. This debate took place in the fifties. And the sixties about should we have a national A-Bomb alert. Should there be one day just like they did in the Soviet Union, and they do in China till this day? Should it be one day? Everybody goes into a bunker. They they find out where the nearest bunker the workplace or they're tiny dreary little apartment in Moscow is and all that we never did that never did. Because it it the in the end behind closed doors between the Pentagon and President Eisenhower. The the whole thing was what's the point? There used to be you can still see to this day around Los Angeles that that upside down pyramid that gold upside down pyramid. And it says CD civil defense. Civil defence used to be a big deal. There were there were you had blocked captains and things like that was sort of an outgrowth World War Two. And then it went away for a long time. It's still maintain. Paned? There were these bunkers, and they had long term storage for fresh water and all this, but you know, no Cold War anymore since Ninety-one ish. Decreased nuclear threat, we really haven't recharge civil defense. We haven't worked out the civil defense muscle. And part of the reason like I say was because the powers that be said is it worth the conspiracy theorists in the panic? You know, what are we getting out of this? If we did this it would be expensive people would take a hours off from work in. What what really is is the purpose. What are we getting out of it? So we never did that. And then like I say we also for the same reason the the Russians sent. People at their workplaces and at homes, this this vitamin called potassium iodate because it can it helps people in the aftermath of a nuclear war shed radiation that they might be absorbed. We never did it because there is a vocal tiny minority that starts screaming. What does the government know? How come? They're not telling us, they must know something. No one would just do this. And that and that's the reason. And by the way, you you want the latest evidence of that. Why is the FBI taken over that solar observatory in Albuquerque New Mexico outside of Holloman Air Force, but we'll get to that a little later. But that's absolutely this evidence of that FEMA camps. Remember those FEMA camps. So the president is going to do this for the first time ever. He's ordered at FEMA is going to do it for the first time ever on Thursday. You cannot opt out of it. And between now. And then you you watch everything from. From. I'm thinking of I'm trying to think of some very far left websites. Daily Cho's up in the bay area. Huge huge liberal website. That this is Trump's abuse of power. He must know something. And also, why would he be doing this? If he didn't intend to go to nuclear war with the North Koreans point in fact, if if an ICBM if they wash on fifteen or forty of them one of them with an actual nuke at thirty nine of them decoys they were launched from North Korea on a ballistic path towards the United States. You would be getting that presidential alert. If as long as it's somewhere on the laminate as long as someone somewhere said, oh, yeah. That's that's right thing. Number twelve alert the American people, but but this is the part where when you war game at and we're talking about a missile with a forty five minute time of flight to the east coast and about a thirty nine minute time of flight here, the west coast, and in the they go through all the procedures to retaliate and the whole thing. What would you be doing? I mean, you got you. You would get that alert. And by the way, just like a weather alert or an amber alert, it's not just a tone at center tone, and it can send an audio message. Some if you're driving down the seven ten to insert name of freeway here in Los Angeles area and you hear a tone. You've never heard and you can't override it. You cannot meet your phone, this overrides, your settings and a vibration, you've never heard you're you're gonna feel it felt you're gonna feel it on Thursday. And then a recorded voice of the president comes on saying an impending nuclear attack is going is targeting the California coastal cities of San Diego, Los Angeles. And San Francisco we may not even get the the current emergency broadcast system alert yet on that. But but part of the war gaming on this is why would we send that message? What are you gonna do? What would you do pull over and get under an overpass? Something mean, what would you do? What what what good is knowing? You call and say so long love you, man. But that's the other problem. You know, what would go down a second after that presidential alert the cell system. So my bold prediction eleven eighteen AM on Thursday. The first presidential alert is going to be

Red Sox sweep Yankees with wild rally, walk-off at Fenway
"Going to turn this right over to Mr Ryan who got home at two AM Dr Mike to a. m. from Fenway park last night after the Red Sox. Concluding, another improbable game in this weekend. Coming from three runs down in the ninth to tie winning it in the bottom of the tenth. And Bob, I will say this, but I just wrote this it. This game lasted so long. It seemed to end up in October of two thousand and four for the New York Yankees. Well, let's start with the the fun stat here, which is that came to one two and three of this four-game series took a total of four hours and forty eight minutes to play and it last night's four hours thirty nine minutes and it was an entered its fifth hour in the ninth inning. So there's always that which means the Yankees are back to normal after two days of aboriginal speedy play. I have long maintained, and this goes back thirty years that where I sport. Editor of with guts. I would cover baseball by the series not by the day that you would have to explain to have to counter people how the game went, nor who scored the runs and how the game went daily. But when series was over your writer, your your man or your woman would would would compose a graceful essay tying together all the ins and outs and scope and meaning of the series. If ever a series deserved that kind of regular season treatment in our experience, it was this series which began last Thursday night with the fifteen. When the Yankees ahead three, nothing. After three batters had been strode strident Stroud Agawam to the plate and then led four, nothing in the second inning, and eventually lost the game fifteen to seven with a pitcher named Jonathan holder who had been pitching lights out all year to on the road, giving up giving nobody out in the fourth inning with seven consecutive guys reaching base and five of them scoring ending with Jonathan holder. After a blown save by Chapman, losing the game into tenth inning, all kinds of stuff to pitching gems by the Red Sox and a simple fact that if the game, if it's gone, the other way, the Yankees would be one and a half out, but it went the way it went and they are now nine and a half out eight in the loss. Eleven in the win. Okay, I'm done done them. I'll take. So if you're the editor and you say to your writer summit up in a sentence buddy boy. Is it over? You have to say, realistically, it's, it's, it's hard to believe that the keys are going to bounce back. What if the Red Sox are gonna blow it, or the more, the more the former, the latter than the former. The Red Sox don't appear to be blow team that's going to blow it this year. Yeah, I think that, but it would be what it would be. It would be encompass. There would be the fact that the Red Sox beat them every which way and at the Yankee of a defensive problem which has been around not noted enough nationally was on acute display this week. And of course ultimately that in the game that they had wrapped up playing a game, they like the way they like to play it. They couldn't even weap- it up with everything going their way. You know, Bob, I, I did some checking today because objects in the rear view mirror and sometimes be closer than they appear that is the Oakland Athletics up for the New York Yankees when the Yankees. Mitch. And Bob, when the. The Yankees were fifty and twenty two and I thought they were the team that was eventually going to be on a pace to win one hundred thirteen. The way the Red Sox are they were thirteen games ahead of the Oakland, Athletics. They are now two and a half games ahead of the Oakland Athletics when they were fifty and twenty two the as thirty eight and thirty six. The Yankees have now played eighteen and twenty baseball for the last thirty eight games which is a quarter of a baseball season. That's not a small sampling. That's a serious sampling.

"Thirty five seventeen assists zero turnovers and they still can't play any defense look they don't play one thirty one twenty nine i mean every game they play now is going to be one twenty to one seventeen the game before against milwaukee lebron as the forty point triple double but jaanus is practically right there with them thirty seven and whatever that's a huge high scoring game but they win that one it feels like cleveland is finally trending in the right direction whereas we know the celtics aren't in toronto still has to prove that they can beat cleveland in a in a series yeah no they definitely it's to be to anyone and they are a great home team and they're going to have homecourt advantage so that'll help the game last night was in cleveland where lebron goes nuts and they got contributions from a bunch of different guys he played thirty nine minutes didn't the game last night he's averaging on the season thirty seven point two which is actually a little lower than his career average like he normally plays a lot but he's been in the league for fifteen years years like you should not be setting career are you should not be close close is in minutes and so why do you think he's doing this because i have my theory on it but why why do you think why do we think lebron's going off or even specifically just playing so many minutes because they have nothing else i mean i i don't want to oversimplify you i bet you have a better reason than i i just think he is really pissed about not winning as many mvp's recently and he is just all in a winning the mvp and he's gonna play his ass off so as numbers are numbers are always good but obviously if you play an extra five more minutes they're going to be even better like if you're smart if tai lou and it's not thailand anymore it's not larry drew which by the way there too and now i think without tyler but if they were smart or if it was even up to them which it's not.
