"I'm going to buy that. You is going to be a part of this offense. He's going to be. You're not gonna sell on this kid. Form is a former first round pick. You saw the flashes. This is not a dante pettis situation. This is a completely different situation. And if it has to do with the quarterback and there's a disagreement locker room between certain players who won lancet and certain players who want jimmy in this might be part of that issue right hamstring. We talked about this. He had twenty six Offense staffers detroit. Then he returning punts against philadelphia out. Snap sherefield returned a punt. Not an injury thing. It's not resolve the great and made jimmy throw tarot ball on saved his ass on that one I'm buying you being a contributor going forward. They have to use their best players again to fry. Euch four targets for kitto unacceptable. Are you is going to be part as offense on buying all that stuck with the rest of this division basically to know besides the seattle seahawks you have the rams who look good who have to quality wins we have arizona to where they have one quality win but had a tough test against minnesota vikings with what we saw sunday with jimmy. Garoppolo are you buying leasing or walking that with jimmy garoppolo. Starting all seventeen games. They can make playoffs or excuse me. I may playoffs win the division win the division. Let me change that win the division. That's what i meant absolutely not absolutely not. I think they're wildcard team. I guess i'm not buying. I'm not selling leasing this one. I'm going to call you back right. This is a back We have to see how they look in the next three games green bay arizona seattle to division games in there and a potential playoff matchup with green bay. You have to You have to come back on this one. You gotta be like. Hey look. I liked this car right now. I don't like it today to nose cool. Yeah gray. I got good gas mileage. It's efficient but can get me to be as fast as i wanted to and. That's where we are right now. I am set me up for another appointment on this question because at currently as it sits. I'm not comfortable saying the niners are going to win the nfc west. I think they have the potential to be a wildcard team. I think matthew stafford is going to be an mvp candidate. Russell wilson's always mvp candidate carla. Marie looks outstanding Outside of a few miscues. Yesterday against the vikings arizona looked really good seattle. Yes they lost to. Derrick henry in the titan but they were pretty much control that game for you know what thirty five forty minutes things changed you know almost lost to the lions things happened in the nfl and then the rams matthew stafford looks as good as expected. That's why i wanted him in san francisco. We i think we have to wait. I would. i'd probably way too white week seven week. Eight to make a decision on that. Because you'll know way more by then. Yeah that that's fair. That's fair two weeks in I'll probably be back on this situation a lot. Or i just may buy it because i'm sales salesmen myself and i feel bad and i'm just like okay i'll just buy it. I know the struggle But yeah it's definitely a situation where you got to turn back on revisit at another time. Maybe you don't have enough for the down payment and you just gotta give it up. Give it a few weeks and once that paycheck clears and all of a sudden. Your down payments goodn- our you got your tax returns so now you have that down payment. You didn't have a couple of weeks ago but yeah that that's that's definitely a tough situation. Say right now considering. There is three teams in the nfc west. That is undefeated. Now i know where. I'm at with this guy. I want to know where you're at the amadora nor he was targeted. Eleven times yesterday gave up four receptions takeaway that ninety one yard reception. He only gave up three reception for twenty yards. You live with that day in day out are you. Are you buying leasing or selling that gamma door. Lenore is may be with jason bread down. Maybe cornerback one on this team. I am absolutely.

"That's not too much to ask of yourself the end and you know when it comes time to build that big project you should be able to have a big accumulation of knowledge and skill tackle it so yeah and so these bricks are going to be easily accessible so that you can go back and reference. Yeah they'll they'll post like blog posts on monday night And then when you sign up when when you subscribe you can actually log into an area and as as you are delivered these bricks they will be stored under your account and then eventually all that stuff will be on youtube or on instagram for free. But i've gotta get some people a reason to to follow along. Because at some point i want to do the community i wanna do and i need have a way to to let people know that that's happening. So that makes sense man. I'm excited for you. I will see the result should be fun. She i've committed to two years of working on it so i paid. I paid for the all the website support services upfront. and so We're gonna see how it goes. Yeah well. I just want to let you know that if you do need to do some advertising you know. We do have sponsorships available here at the paint. You're gonna kick kick me off. If i don't for this time that i just no. I think i've talked enough about my jag so that that's true anyway. We'll speaking of somebody that's never sponsored where you up to fill. I've been running a crap ton. Marathon training takes up a large part of my day or days so that takes. That's keeping me tired. And i be trouble visiting hurling for any. I actually haven't decided on one yet. But i'm i'm so. I'm far enough in training that this weekend is twenty miles which is a good unlike two-thirds through training for a fall marathon. And i have a couple of pick from i. I'm looking at one. That's actually drivable to okay. I'm it's up in ann arbor michigan which is thirty five. Forty minute drive from my house in late. October but michigan but But then so. I know i've talked about my bs on here a bunch of times and and this year for whatever reason we're having issues i mean they're natural issues. Bees are living creatures. They do their thing So it started with that queens and we and then we had a high trying to swarm and we split that hive into two hives. And they've been doing well and now the one high that didn't we didn't split the one that was cool with its new queen was doing really good and in a span of seven days sunday to sunday. They went from cool week. See that the queen is laying eggs. We found the queen. There's active larva. There's new new brood coming out. All the elliot's who will be terms The next week there's more than i. I'm continent there were nine. There might be more queen cells super singer cells so they're swarming but they are either unhappy with or there is no queen and we didn't find the queen through it so now we we already have three highs. Don't want more than so. We're kind of like cautiously watching this. Wondering are these bs going to scoot is high going to not survive. Because we're the tail end of summer now bright and something like that when you don't have enough enough population doing enough work to sustain them through the winter. That's a real concern. So it's kinda crazy. Yeah are you sure. You don't have these hives. Like located above ancient burial ground like we. How did we last year. Our first our first time in the same location. I it was it was not. It was new to us but it wasn't a stress it. Was you know we were learning. And we saw things and we had to identify what that was where they you know they were. It was warm and so they were outside and you see a pack of bees on the outside of the hive. It's called building because it kind of looks like a beard and y- you oh my gosh that's a sign of swarm but it's also a sign of just them trying to flap their wings and get cool because it's hot and the hype and we didn't have any issue other than that last year. We whatever we had them they made a ton of honey and they survived right up until i think we found them in late february that the hype died but weeks prior. It was good. We don't know what happened. But we're pretty sure the queen died. And then the the population just dwindled down and they didn't have enough to keep them selves. Going bad timing in the winter for that to happen This year it. We've had every other problem new package and the queen died before they released her out of her little travel cage. When can happens in three days where the heck you know like. Why did that happen. And and now. This don't know don't know but i do. I will say that We have a neighbor down the street that lost a huge oakland. there's motor. I got my chainsaw We had a huge win storm. Come through here a couple of weeks ago and they lost a branch from thirty feet high. We live in area very mature trees so these are big old oak trees and it took out a corner of their fence thankfully. No cars were in the driveway because it covered the driveway. And i have an eighteen inch bar on my chainsaw. And i just was getting through it. and this this up there you know the base of this tree is proud to be probably three foot diameter. Bless you you know. It's a big old boy but anyway they have a hive. Come to find out their high did swarm and it was in the branch that came out so they he at least try it. I don't know how successful it was. He tried to recover the swarm from a limb that was now laying in his yard instead of being thirty plus feet near Very very interesting. So i don't know if it's the time of the oh it's the summer y'all whatever it's been it's been really hot and fairly Wet we've got a decent amount of rain where i haven't gone to really dry summer but i don't know what it is but it keeps us on our toes. That's for sure okay. Well it sounds like we need to set up a high death pool either.

"Of central wisconsin from a multifamily perspective than. I'm looking at literally everything that comes on the market in mice my town either any opportunities for short term rentals or other ways to increase the income. Do you have. I don't think there's any oil and gas up there The traveling nurses so a longer short-term furnished rental property they pay a premium over like an annual lease. but it's not as much work as constantly turning over an airbnb. So that's what. I'm actually digging into right now. There is a platform that started down in the atlanta area. That does rent by the week. You have a month's minimum and then it's weekly after that. So i am digging into that as an option because that will significantly boost the income. There's actually a side by side. Duplex that i'm looking at about forty thirty five forty minutes north of me. That would be turned into seven bedrooms on each side. So it's a rent by the week by the bedroom model and right now. I'm trying to figure out how that would work. We estate and local regulations. And see if i can actually make that work here. The first thing. I think of when i hear rent by the week is transient tenants. Who may have a difficult time paying the rent. Who is renting this particular property by the week show might target would be traveling. Nurses like you mentioned because they have averaged thirteen week contract And also construction workers. I'll are in town during the week but then go home on the weekend and compared to a hotel hundred fifty hundred seventy five a week for so tell is a phenomenal deal for them. Especially if they're getting per diem and get to Pocket the rest of that tax free or In the atlanta area and other large metros that they're in a lot of their audiences also your kind of twenty to fifty thousand dollars a year jobs that people don't want to canoe along ways in order to be able to have affordable housing so the member ends up getting affordable housing. Landlord gets a boost in their rent. And everybody's happy okay. Let's see i feel obligated to poke holes in this model. How much would it cost like. Is this a turnkey establishment. You buy the property and it's already rehabbed didn't know our year buying just the property and the furnace finding a property that has the ideal characteristics for this where it's not being something like a hoa or a heavily. Single family owner occupied type neighborhood. For example this particular property is right on the edge of a residential and industrial area. There's plenty of parking plenty of ability to easily convert common areas to extra bedrooms so that you have more efficient use from a landlord perspective and it encourages the individuals renting two more. Stay in their rooms have less conflict between individuals because you keep that interaction to a minimum just by the way you have the layout of the property. Okay before we move on. Let's take one last break to hear a word from today's show sponsors. They say you can't have it all but that's not totally true with blinking..

"Four and then boom. Everyone's like how did peyton manning not finish up last. How is he not last right. He didn't want he did not want it. He did not want to go last. I don't know why he did not want to go last. He did not want it. And if anybody is wondering if i'm accurate or not. I don't know why you would because i'm my boots are on the ground there. But he is maybe with the exception of the guy who was party part of his crew. Then and tom brady has to be the one guy in that entire place. If you put everyone at the hall of fame on sodium pentothal the one guy. They would want to come back every single year and his old jacket and be part of the ceremony every year to help make it that much more special each year than any other person. It's peyton manning they want so whatever you want peyton you got it. You wanna go where you want ninety million photographs to be perfectly put up on the screen to make your speech a presentation the way you want it done. What else do you need. what else do you want. What do you got and so he wanted to go. Third the two gentlemen who have been waiting the longest go first of all the folks who had just gotten in on their year of if you will years of regular eligibility he wanted to be i up and i think it's just because he didn't wanna wait an also he so intense about this stuff. He wanted it over. Get it done. And you could like prior to his speech. He was locked in and when it was done scenario. hey what. He's the weddings over drink. It starts like he was like you could see that happened boom as soon as it was over. Yeah i can see brady being the same way. Maybe so. I don't know i boom done. Get it done. He wanted to be i And get it done over. And now he was able to sit back. Enjoy the speeches go to party. You know which. I went to as well and it was terrific. Man i went to charles and his out of woodson and then and then and they were all going back and forth like people are gonna pay more about to go to charles's charleston payton's they're going back and forth yawkey. We've we missed at tj. We right it was truly a remarkable weekend and the hall. I'm telling you it's gotta be this way from now on. I did not miss the thirty five forty minute. Long speeches now. I know you can see the broadcast. Maybe you had a monitor something but they had a scroll on the bottom of individual names. Each guy would like to thank and it. Was you know family members past teammates. High school code yazod. I did not see an interest in terms of you know charles woodson. How you know. I'm kind of partial to him. I need you to indulge me for a moment right right where it's what i told him. I got indulge me. This let loads moment for me. Charles woodson his speech spectacular. Just a beautiful speech talking about his family and his teammates and his journey and remarkable and spectacular. It was he had no prepared remarks. He provided six bullet points to the hall. Really that's it. And i thought to myself. Oh he's last like he's last so it could be like twenty minutes long exactly last it was over. There wasn't another person going. He was the last of his nineteen of nineteen on the weekend. Six bullet points. And i thought to myself. Oh 'cause especially started singing to his mom his presenter and as his story he told here on this show in this chair to my right once walked out on michigan was ready to go transfer to miami. I told that story to serve on the air. He'd never heard that one before. Just to see the look on michael irvin's face woodson could have gone to the you but the person who stopped him from going with his mother. You could check it out. That story on our youtube feed. So it's a beautiful thing that his mother was as presenter and then his mom stopped by our set afterwards. We told that story on nfl network. It was perfect a perfect perfect night for charles woodson six bullet points. I thought oh. His speech was nine minutes. Fifty eight seconds long now the standup to second shy the ten minute mark. Beautiful do it. Again nicer bruce. Also someone moved his ipad. oh yes. he didn't have his speech and his who his speech to one of the greatest lines. How do you like now like the guy who would never high step. Never hold it up. Never call out. An opponent never chess pounds by as a wide receiver in an era of wide receivers. That are divas. Never once talked about himself. Even though there's an eye. Isaac and now it was like all built up. How do you like me now. The person who told him he would make it and he said he prayed the god would keep them alive. Unbelievable so the only thing more shocking about the speeches. Then isaac bruce quoting Whom od was paul tagliabue. According edgerrin james in his speech that was the one thing that leaned over to win. Nfl executive right then and there was right there on the senate. I'm like if draft kings had some Align on this sort of tagliabue mentioning edge in the speech plus you can retire on your own island. Right now was four thousand. Let's take a break here. There is one number from the pro football hall of fame weekend high of yet dimension. And it's a big one. it's one year not expecting. You are not expecting it. Wait till you hear this story. It will be worth the wait rich eisen here. I love my ring..

"So here's the thing. If you learn that oh by the way i work with moms and and i give them mike workouts. No usually three days a week thirty minutes or so. Maybe thirty five forty minutes and that's it. Everything's really simple there. We work with whatever they've got in their home to work with. We work with if they go to gym. We do that basing all my exercise. Routines are moving patterns. So if they're at home they my squat with a book bag. If they're in the gym they may squat with the keto bill or dumb. Bill goblet squat. Whatever movement patterns will save you from having to do a whole lot of extra programming because it all breaks down a push or pull horizontal or vertical. A hip hinge or a. That's saw that's all the with. His body moves notice. I didn't say sit up beaming at the ways you know. That's just. We won't get into that today so i hope you guys out there. Listening have learned a couple of things mute your mic when the fire truck gums. Don't depend on jonathan. Listen learn to differentiate your colleagues women from each other. They all have individual names. Faces lives and identities different dreams. I take different different souls in hopes and dreams and desires. That's right. They have alzheimer's carol. If you can lean into that you can really you really get down to. The core of who they are but starting with names. That's a good start start there. It's not complicated. you know. And also being into 'em with your client and listening to them and actually knowing what they want is a great gateway to accurate helpful programming for them. Listen to your class. They are the only experts on them that you will encounter so just a another guys. Guys know something to top percentage. I just want you were talking. I was checking stuff on the internet. He was a bit hesitant at first oak. If i can remember it. I heard okay. And that's fair. "What were you watching bond movies this weekend. I was dan. So here's the thing. I had never seen a had. Never seen a bond movie with daniel craig on it so i said you know what i need to do something. I need to fill the time babies. Just they just keep you up all the time. I need to do something. Which by the way if you want to watch a movie. Don't have a baby because it takes you about twenty four hours to watch it to. Our movie is very inefficient in terms of moving watching. So i started watching this james bond movies and the first one that i saw was sky full which i found out after the fact was the third of the four daniel craig james bond movies and i loved it. I said this is great. I was never a daniel craig. Guy had never seen it before this week. And i'm like. I'm not gonna act as look like james bond because pierce brosnan was the guy that i had seen as james bond and i'm like these nothing alike but i watched as daniel craig's james bond. Guess what he killed it third one scaffold. So then i started watching them from the beginning of until the most recent one which i think was specter. Oh i don't think watch another james bond movie. There's no way that this. Sean connery is running around doing the same things at this. James bond is doing. No chance in roger moore roger who you know what i mean. Do you pick your favorite james bond like by. Who's your favorite actor playing. James bond or which movies are the best. Because i think sean connery wins. Because he's got goldfinger. Dr no from russia with love like he's in the classic bond thinking i think all he's doing there is i can't imagine eighty year old. Sean connery doing park or at the top of one of these nice totally fair. Totally right about that. But did the whole genre vault spoiler alert daniel craig was shot off of a train fell into this water of some kind lake lagoon. I don't know what it is that he fell into went to the bottom of it. He was dead dead. Dan and then he came back later on and we didn't really get an explanation as to how he survived. That sean connery get shot off. The top of a train fallout two hundred feet into the water survive. No put it on the poll. Plays billy could sean connery as bond fall. Two hundred feet off a plane or train and survive. I think it said daniel. Craig looks better coming out of the ocean than sean connery. Holy crap my looker. Is that seen in some caribbean resort and he emerges from the water fan myself. I wanted to go to the bahamas. I wanted to go to the bahamas this week. Just to see if i ran into daniel craig. Why does he even wear a suit that he likes it. But why why. Cover that body over the weekend. Stu gods i read that a penthouse in miami and there are a lot of the these in miami. The penthouse in miami has gone for twenty two point. Five million dollars in crypto currency. It's the largest purchase made on a home for crypto currency. And there was a conversation happening. And i don't know what triggered it exactly but a lot of money. Miami's very good at all sorts of fakery people pretending to be rich for a weekend. Those what are those. Things called those tiny little cars. That people are running on those slingshots. Yes there. I saw one on the highway the other day i those should not be on the highway. Those should not be able to go fifty miles an hour. I saw over the weekends to somebody drunk on oxy cotton ferrari just explode just. The car exploded. Three people dead because of the craziness going on in miami right now but a lot of money and fake. Money and crypto currencies pouring into miami. And what i wanted to ask you you live in parkland and some of these people coming down here are saying that miami is affordable and that they can buy a home in miami that is affordable that you couldn't get anywhere else. Is prices skyrocket around here and somebody was arguing. That parkland is miami that parkland right is affordable and parkland is more affordable closer to miami. But that's the thing that's happening that that all of south florida that broward that broward and deep deep brown parklands closer to west palm than it is to miami. Correct parkland is very close to the to the palm beach border. Yeah of course it is yes. It's a lot closer to west palm beach than it is to to south beach. What is happening there though. Is it just a bunch of fake money coming in here saying that they wanna live in miami or wanna give off the hint of. I live in miami while living in parkland which parkland one is lovely. It's just not miami. Yeah it's a lot of people who don't understand the decades worth of almost like it's almost like a border war in a weird way between miami dade and broward south florida south florida. It's warm it's sunny. It's nice and it's all the same thing. When like for generations. Like the difference between west. Miami like kendall westchester and you know downtown. Brickell beach is its own divide. Never mind between miami dade and broward. It's out of towners like us. South florida it's all the same isn't parkland also closer to west palm than it is to fort lauderdale No it's about the same So it's about you know. Thirty five forty minutes either way west palm owning the there's so much demand for parkland and is the school system because the public schools are not great down here and parkland is considered to have the best of the worst if that makes sense. So there's there's high demand because people want that area there's always young people looking to move in as they know. Your kids are like my kids leaving college at somehow. They know that people are knocking on my door. Like hey we'll give you whatever you want for your how. But i have nowhere to move. That's the problem. There's no there's there's no. I mean at by the way if uptake. Twenty two and a half million dollars on anything it's cash you're not paying me at crypto. Are you kidding me. Like i need to see a check. I need to have cash buying never sounded older and realize shits not twenty two billion dollars of crypto currency. Get at you know what that'll be worth twenty years..

"A very special appearance. Now they're very special because she's so famous and popular the terms of her Talent contract deems that she only can work about five days during spring and summer and they must be from a bar colleen whoa day and what a day thanks coming to my club all right set the scene for us then all right so here we are. We are in west hollywood california. At rocco's we ho- this is the heart the heart of how would you put it. Ricky how would you put this in the center of boys town which is west hollywood right next to a rainbow flag crosswalk and june is pride month. So we're excited to be debuting. Our pride episode of around the nfl in person and we also have another special you. Don't we do this. We have a lot of people here. By the way we have a bit of a celebration here for our road show And very excited colleen's dad is here. He's at a neighboring table. right now. Talk nickname is frenchie frenchie. Early pride episode was coming up on a plane. I'm gonna frenchie wolf out here Gonzo and connie's friend miles. His dad's here so there at one table. And that's sitting again as well on the show but really sitting in just to hang out with us. In fact she didn't even know the around the nfl. Podcasts was taping to fourteen minutes ago. She thought it was the broadcast which is a vanity project for erica lakisha jackson wesseling. So this is so nice. I mean it's so great to be here in this part of the city right in the middle and the heart of pride month. Erica our wonderful producer. Nfl's resident lesbian but also our friend and we thought it'd be nice thing and this is really ricky's brainchild to go on location. This is the first time we've been together doing a show since like when many moons. I mean i would say you have to go back to combine before twenty twenty combine pandemic potentially. I mean a show of this magnitude right. I think there might have been a thursday night. Football recap we did from a socially distance in a garage maybe late last year but this the first time we're altogether during the show and i don't mark you and i are on opposite ends of this. I'm so ready to get back together in a workplace. Do a podcast together. More human connection. And i know there's the the case for the other way but come on hold on hold on. It's like nice. We're looking up at the hollywood hills. It's about seventy five degrees We are surrounded by a flock of like eight nine ten roaming about i am totally happy. Here this is not what i'm talking about. This is summer no but i. I am an investigation about the twenty percent. We know who the one twenty percent erica. The other twenty percent greg. What do you have to say. Just maybe a little bit of all of us you know. Everyone's a little There is bark seems totally at ease. Dan is the one it's partly because he's the host that he's used to having things set up a certain way. That seems a little more uncomfortable. I mean that's maybe it's the surroundings. Yeah i would say it has nothing to do with where we are and why we're doing this episode but just there's a lot of moving parts and i'm also under a son that is determined to burn me alive by baking in the sun right now. All the rest of us are like nicely shaded. it's couched in wonderful shade. Dan claims because he's part austrian. He's finding under the sun. But i'm starting to see a little perspiration and our song is plane dan right. We don't have the copyright control over that so don't pay attention to that line the music playing or the truck for the dump trucks going on behind the zone so chris wesseling is with us as he always always and in fact. Connie you saw something else. Right down the street here on santa monica boulevard. Oh yeah when we were walking up there were all these big green eggs for sale right out front at like the hardware store right next door and they were just like out in front of us and my dad was like. Oh i love green eggs. It's like it's a sign so the quiches here big green eggs here. The reds are here. West is here. He is with us as always says mark pop quiz. Actually you know what. Because i didn't like the insinuation by greg greg. Why is pride month in june. I know you're uncomfortable of the stonewall. Riots okay gotcha gonna guess that's not something you guess for. I thought that was going to be part of like erica's time. Basically dana's set it up now and now we're going to hand the show over to erica for the next thirty five forty minutes and sees explain what pride means the her exactly ricky now and i wanna to say in preparation for today's show. I went and reread that. Awesome article you wrote on. Nfl dot com last year about your experiences as a gay woman sports media and at the nfl and it was just so well done. And really. i. I couldn't have yup more respect ricky. For what for what you do and how you express yourself in that article and so this is a nice thing for us all to be together celebrating all means a lot that you say that. Thank you and you guys were the first people that i told even publicly back. What three four. Years ago now.

How Does Facing Death Change Your Life?

"I recently had a near death experience. And if i died it would have been not funny exactly no but at least like no henry short story because i almost got killed in a traffic accident while driving back from getting my second covid vaccine shot. Oh that would've been a great short story right. I would have been willing to die for that story. But i didn't last start it so we have this. Lean version of the story in which the protagonist doesn't even die. But anyway i got my vaccine early in the morning on a sunday morning in queens which was about a thirty five forty minute drive from where i live and i'm driving back and i'm on the cross bronx expressway which is usually a highway. That travels at about half a mile an hour. It's just always jammed up okay. But on a sunday morning it was flying. Everybody's going you know. Not crazy fastball. Fifty five sixty like highway speeds highway speed and then all the sudden in the middle lane of this three lane highway under an overpass or would that be under an underpass. Under an underpass was a tractor trailer parked in the center lane at a full. Stop wow so. I slam on the brakes and i'm waiting to either fish tale and get killed or to hit him or hit on behind and none of those bad things happened anyway. Here's my point. I didn't die plainly but it was the closest. I've come to death in a long time. Maybe ever and. I expected to have some kind of emotional reckoning reassessment. I was grateful for sure. Don't get me wrong. But i did not have one of those hollywood moments like i am going to live my every day as if it's had less so here's my question for you today. Am i. broken is something wrong with me. Are you missing a chip. Or maybe this means. I've got a mature view of death. And that maybe even ready to

"I'm I'm happy with what he's given them. You know, we can go back and forth on, if, if it was the right signing with that ship has sailed, you know, it's like the chem but it's like, with cameras on your team. He's getting paid. What? He's paying getting paid? You just want to see the production now. So that's what you're kind of getting from Thompson. I still obviously know that they need Rob, cuz Thompson's not going to be enough to do it. You don't have ties to anymore. You're going to need all hands on deck depending on who you're ending up matching up within the play-offs, but it's good to see Thompson sort of rounding into form here as they come down. You know, that final stretch of regular season that's is when she want your guys to, to start to look their best is, you know, right? Right. When you heading into the playoffs, a lot of times, it's the hottest team. You know, it's not always the best, you want to be the, you want to be the team. That's playing playing well together in a playoff. So if they can get healthy and get right, then you maybe they can go in a little bit of a run. Yeah. And I don't know if they'll be able to have it, but they were doing some things with that Thompson khong. Can't bench combination there that I love defensively when they were getting in the second units and they're a little more healthy. So Rob's obviously going to be the key to all of this. I do agree with some of these comment there to say if it's just Thompson come playoff time that's going to look nearly as great especially over the cord out thirty-five forty minutes, but probably in the south of follow too much and Lord knows they have absolutely nothing behind him if Rob's out so that's it will change over locker room. We're going to take a bunch of questions. We're going to try to entice people to go at John and help us bully him and he's coming on at him as we speak..

Crowd was about a group of three hundred and it was in the town of humble which is rate close by and i got to work with a guy that had organized the event. And he added up a career broadcasting. It's the staff and we kinda hit it off. We just met before the before the event and we can hit it off and it was basically questioning asir. He was asking me questions than i was given the answers but he made it so easy because he was kinda of lobbing softballs the whole time that i could just hit up parkin blamed. That makes it pretty easy to mean. So it's it's a lot of the situation you put yourself into but always i like i have always wanted to be like. Hey gimme a talk. We're all it is. Is your people. Ask me questions. Like maybe. I'll do like a five minute thing but the question and answer that bounce back and forth the the crowd like when i have a good cue in section so i'll go give a talk thirty five forty minutes but when we do that. Qna if we get in a groove mike we will fire off and go into subjects that are way edgier than i would ever put in a regular presentation but because i can feel the crowd then i'm like oh i can. I can walk out a little further. I can walk a little further. And man i i gotta tell you. I really miss that about about corona virus world. Yeah and i could really see. But i mean that's why does so on august where is like you make the people feel comfortable talking to them. Ask him questions of stuff in that same thing like you're you could test the depth of your water when you're in a crowd cata thing and that's there's something to be said for somebody that can work a room and feel it what's going on and how far they can push. Things are to keep the conversation going. I think that's maybe one of the bigger differences about what i do. Camping is is a lot of topics that cover you know like i stayed away from from the covert side of things. Just because of the of the huge economical mental stresses that it's put on people's lives and there's a lot of division a lot of people finding different misinformation information in a lot of different things in You know with the amount of stress that it's caused society. I a whether. I guess the way i say. It is like i out a respect for what's happened. With the cohen pandemic apps tried to stay completely away from it. I support you know our our health officials around here that doing their best to to try and make things work and the rest of it. I just stay at because he gets only people that are up in arms boats. Pcr tests and masks and all this stuff or whatever. Am this like going to keep farming. You guys have your rights there you know when it comes down to things like energy and fossil fuels in in different things like that. I mean that's kind of stuff that that i've stayed on or some some more political issues in canada is because it's stuff that affects not only myself but my parents grandparents my family and stuff like that and when you see different policies and stuff that your government's breaking on whatnot then you're more or less a frontline worker to that buzz. A frontline worker govan. I'd have an opinion on it canning. But i'm not so i left from my people do their thing instead of food security and willing gas and stuff i consider myself frontline worker to that and i've got an opinion so speaking of what's going on in the world with energy canada the us we had a pipeline going. We got past the protesters..

Rules of Small Project Management - Chapter 1 - Deliverables Basics - Part 2

"Mark. We started our conversation last week about small project management talking about about the direct creating the deliverables list. And it's one of those wait. There's more so. Let's talk about the next item item on our list. No plural deliverables and actually. I was a little bit surprised when reading the show notes because I thought I knew for sure what that meant and it means more than I thought really. Yeah I I I miss yeah I thought it was specifically meant Ah no deliverables where two people owned it right. which is a common mistake? People make okay to work. Aren't something and it's owed but it's not clear who is on the hook if two people on the hook nobody's on the hook so but there's more to it than that absolutely. Yeah in fact up the whole point of deliverables and even tasks if you want to call them tasks not that we would. But we understand why people do is the issue shoe of ownership and of course when it comes to project management guidance folks if you haven't listened to our hall of fame cast the Law of project management. Who does what by when in fact Mike Wendy and I were just in the conversation this morning figuring out steps to take and so on and I said she says well we could get some different project management software? I said we don't need different project. Management Software. We need people to do what they're supposed to do when they're supposed to do it. I mean I can make your your software sexy as you want. Be People over the head but we're adults and human beings and we're you know we're tired and we struggle after right blackberries various and so we see now. I'm not GonNa do that today. There's no software who will do the task for you but most people don't know that about tasks and then think of of things that need to be done and so there are tasks like meet to discuss x fifty. Well Yahoo Who you know that gets into? Who's going to schedule the meeting and all kinds of things so the way I it in the field is when I'm talking to a manager who says hey look I wanNA help one of my young people one of my contributors or maybe even a fairly new manager really get the hang of what I call operational regional project manager? I'm not talking. Strategic Project manager and I'm not talking global project management with all kinds of three dimensional websites and all kinds of tracking budgeting and dependencies in critical path. And all that stuff. That's sexy and cool but it's not what most of us have to deal with. In fact I would argue view that it's not in terms of budget but in terms of man hours it's probably only ten percent of the world's projects the vast majority of the world's projects happen in you know tasks of one hundred or two hundred or five hundred so what I say to them in the field is when you're asking somebody to take over a a project where they create the first listed deliverables and when you reviewing it the single biggest mistake that we see in tasks is I review. All of their tasks flow for plurality. If there's an and in the task it's bad if there's an also in the task it's bad I promise you and if you see and or also and you don't think it's bad you're the problem. No offence it's not really a problem also the word to to Yo. Same thing there are problems with all those deliverables even if the object act of the actions is plural. There's a problem if something has to be delivered to to people. It's a problem so what you need to do is at it one or two of the tasks to show them how to make it singular. Usually that means a simple facts breaking one task or deliverable into multiple units. What's great about that? Is You split a task. That's multiple up into singular. It actually takes less time than poor plural tasks and we we stand by our searching for which we have data that When projects start to go green they tend to stay green? It's like Newton's first law an object object in motion continue to intensive Stan Dan motion and an object at rest tends to stay at rest and a project read it's recipient but it's close to get it off of read an eight software. That's going to do it by right. Well this example loading too much into a task is in my mind. Classic classic mistake of trying to be efficient at the cost of effectiveness right. So it's yeah if I if I loaded up this one task I only have to write one task. I won't have to enter one task in the project management system but it is at the cost of effectiveness but if you then look at the task if you're not the person that has to do that task to the task so well that's like ten steps that's GonNa take me thirty five forty eight minutes. I don't have thirty five forty minutes. I'll do that tomorrow. In fact the smaller the task the more likely people are to do it just because they can get it done between doing email and go into media because everybody all all anybody does. According to everybody. I talked to his go to meetings and do emails. So let me let me give you an example. Suppose one of the tasks out of say one hundred in your project and by the way if you have somebody working on something that you think has one hundred tasks in a you better have them written down. And therefore you've got a project manager and it ought not to view if you're the manager So there's a tacit says email project manager and business sponsor draft project budget. That's easy enough and there's a lot of people tell me well mark that's not really task right because your project person can send the budget to both people simultaneously easily right but suppose when that task comes up a couple of weeks into the project being kicked off this. What if you went to your project person said hey dude send it to to me I I want to scrub it before we send it on to the business so is the task complete? Because he's Senate here she sent it to you. I don't think so. What's the right status for that task if he sent it to you? I mean you'd want him to be able to say I. I've actually drafted it. Okay Okay but essentially what you've done by the way is changing the project plan. But that's okay. Is it wrong to call it green because the important part of it was the draft project. Plan you're the one holding up going to the business sponsor in the spirit of the item. The project person has created the budget agent. Should she be responsible for you holding it up. Aren't you the one making it read if it goes past the deadline. Okay but then go further. What if you approve it with some small changes but then your person sins it along to the business sponsor without copying you now always done to to ask with different budgets? Didn't the first task imply that the same budget would be sent to both now. You think this nitpicking. But it's not because we see these things all the time

Inflation outlook remains just slightly below target

"To recap this macroeconomic moment. Recapping because macroeconomic moments are what we do around these parts things are overall. All right. No less a figure than Jay Powell. The chairman of the Federal Reserve said so just yesterday. But I overall means something's specifically aren't hence the fed saying yesterday, it's thinking it's not going to raise interest rates at all this year. So we are gonna continue today with a bit of Powell parsing something he said, I don't know thirty five forty minutes into his forty five minute Cuna about inflation or more accurately, the lack thereof inflation is currently and persistently a bit below the feds target level of two percent. Marketplace's Tracey Samuelson explains the problem with a little too little inflation worrying about too much inflation that hasn't traditionally kept economists up at night says Kevin Jake's he's a finance professor. At Baldwin Wallace university and a former economist at the treasury department, most of us have these preconceived notions of high inflation being problematic. Like it wasn't. If you go back and look at the late nineteen seventies or the early nineteen eighties. When inflation ran into the double digits detainment, the fed had to Jack up interest rates, which put the US economy into a recession. Ho this whole idea that, hey, wait a minute. There can be problems from low inflation that's really out of the traditional realm of what economics and policy makers have looked at over the decades. But to little inflation isn't just a problem. It's a major challenge. One of the major challenges of our time. Really that's fed chair Powell at yesterday's press conference, it gives central banks less room to to respond to downturns this gets a little technical. But lean on in recall that in a recession the fed can cut interest rates to try and stimulate the economy. Kevin Logan chief economist at HSBC. We look too low. Lower the interest rate below the rate of inflation. And that encourages more borrowing didn't people to pay back their debts more easily, and it provides some stimulus to economic activity line low inflation makes that option less powerful. It makes it less effective. That's really what they're concerned about. And to low inflation has this self-reinforcing quality to it when people and companies think inflation over main low, they don't increase prices or wages and that turn keeps inflation low.
