"The titanic. Unbalancing of this unashamedly watched boxing of this. I never watch boxing videos. I watched it of this. This thing is massive and it has like one big it kind of feature to it that you can pull apart the titanic and actually have like the inner workings and there's like gears and pulleys that you can kind of manipulate There's no iceberg though if anyone is is really looking for for add onto the set but it's just massive like thermo the real story of this show guess how long or how many pieces this it. we'll go with. How many pieces is this. Being the largest lego set a. I'm going to go with three hundred. Forty one oh come on. I don't know i. I have no idea. Ten thousand pieces. You're close nine thousand. Ninety getting to the point where lego sets could reach ten thousand pieces that will be. They're going to get there. One day. it will. At some point it will be too many but nine thousand and ninety pieces six hundred thirty dollars so for a price for peace ratio. Not so bad show. You're right though. I think the most notable feature is in in addition to being just a large scale model of the titanic. It tries to be very much. Like lowe's model ships that people have in their now their fancy mansion living-rooms under glass or museums in that it tries to be an architectural models. Well where the ship comes apart at two seems and you can see a cross section of the ship of the decks and the engines. Come out so there's a little bit of interior detail. The length of this model. So the lego saturn wapner era. The rocket was what was nineteen. Sixty nine pieces. I wanna say right. A hundred centimeters tall so a meter tall. The super league superstar shorter lego. The one that you know the one that Will and i built. That's one hundred twenty four centimeters long. This is a hundred and thirty five centimeters law. So it's like four feet four feet long..

"This is definitely the next person who brings up the electric thing and you know then environment when it comes to cryptocurrency. This is what they're getting their face. Chiampou kalpa and the story patty. Yeah if you want environmentally friendly way to resolve electricity issue you can start mining with who it apparently is true. Now when i pulled this article up some folks were saying things like is this a real website and you know it is a scottish website. And there've been a couple of other articles published about this. This is actually from june night. Have been sitting on this one for some time. where berry is in scotland scotland. Where they talk like sean connery. An englishman with a scottish action. now he's actually scottish. I believe but he played a russian man and a submarine and such was his most famous film. Apparently bitcoin mining often comes at the expense of using huge amounts of electricity something elon. Musk expressed grave concerns about as he announced. Tesla would no longer be accepting. The flagship cryptocurrencies payment despite gleefully announcing it would only days earlier and he's also co gone back on that now going well i guess i guess we'll take it again. He talks to the crypto. Minors hit had a conversation with the crypto. Minors all of them yeah. There's he didn't talk to me. I do a bit of mining from time. To time of crypto. it was just. That's how matt was like a saying that he phrased like he. He talked to the crypto. Minors or the crypto viner's like like making a subset of crypt minors. That are the crypto. Not all the crypto. The ones like they're more important than others. Have to look the exact. It's all right. it's not important. Off crypto currency markets rocketed at the first announcement with bitcoin hitting the all time high above sixty two thousand dollars. Us however the u-turn subsequent museum added tweets that followed where after cause a serious dip. That's bitcoins value have stripped back the price of all major coins. They're attributing far too much to mr. Musk and his tweets. The device apparently measures a mere seventy centimeters by thirty five centimeters by forty centimeters. "Cow poo. So we'll talk more about that in the studio tonight. It's myself the reverend captain. Kick ass joining me. It's funny and chris and the telephone number. If you'd like to join in the conversation tonight is two zero two. There's two twos and the number the number two. Yeah you get two zero two three zero three six nine nine two two three eight zero three. Six nine is the number. So the sky in scotland apparently in the wake of elon musk's tweets about currency and the supposed- effects that he may or may not have had on the market Over five million pounds and in orders already as of june ninth. Anyway the device apparently measures a mere seventy centimeters by thirty five centimeters by forty centimeters. Josh machines are designed to mind other digital currencies like raven coin in a theory and use less energy. the firm's binding rigs have so far averaged approximately thirty thousand dollars each. That's pounds in annual profits over a three year period with the bulk of these gains made in twenty twenty one as digital currencies. One institutional acceptance. So he's doing well with these particular. These actually will mind. Actually make money off them. According to this article. I wonder i wonder how efficient these machines are compared to like other. I wonder if he ships internationally right. Josh i just shipped my pants josh. Who was among delegates in e. u. summit on crypto last year says the company has been experiencing huge growth in sales among the uk's agricultural community as farmers tapping to onsite renewable energy one greenside hosts forty mining computers which run twenty four seven. The site is power to using anaerobic digestion. Ad machines which turn animal waste into renewable energy. Now this isn't the first time i've heard of using waste as a form of energy i'll give you an example When i was looking into like off grid technology and innovation one of the things that is deployed is people will have a compost bin right and this is just a big areas usually fenced in utah. Saw your food scraps and think some people go to extremes. and they'll you know if they've got Like a composting. Toilet. they'll toss. they're they're human waste in there to you. Got to be careful with like you know animals get in there and disease and and and also it can become flammable right and and explode. So i mean like you know. It's not a joking matter. Careful with your matches. Even though i joke about this and we'll joke again. I'm sure you know. Give me five minutes or so but at any rate so once you have this compost pile and it gets to a certain will say size What you can do. You can run a copper coil. Underneath it before you start the compost pile and attach some tubes and a little small pump like a fishing a fish tank water pump to it. And what you do. Is you run this water to your under floor. Heating the make these under floor heating things that are essentially just tubes that phil hot water right and so what you're doing is you're just taking cold water from the tap your pumping it into underneath your compost pile which generates an immense amount of heat. Your heating that water. And then you're pumping that water back into the house right to heat your flooring which then in turn heats the house. So now you've heeded your house with your own waste products. Wow be cool. If you weren't using poop i would refuse poop. This is just gross. And i don't even. I able only compost like you know leftover foodstuffs and that kind of thing. So i'm not saying you have to you. I'm just saying that. This is not the first time i've heard of people using waste for a technological purpose or to. You'll something now house that you put on top of a waste pile then no on farms. They usually have an area. Set aside for composting. Right and usually what you do. Is you throw away like your banana. The bones of stuff and you know whatever into the compost and then in the springtime you take that compost and you spread it out over your garden because it is a very nutrient rich thing that it becomes and then that's how you grow better plants and better food and your gardens and all that kind of stuff. So parents do that. But i would've never thought you could add human poop. I would've thought that would make it would make it poisonous or something. Well i mean you can add. Animal manure is this. Isn't it like the same or something that people take that causes the problem or something which animals don't take or something. I don't know i don't i think about it but i do know that like enough about it but i do know like like hiking of staff and like they tell you when you hiking in the middle of nowhere not to hike or not to go number two near the river the water source right right you can wear as obviously animals are you can dig a pit privy right. You know if you're sort of off grading it kind of a thing. And i know a lot of the will call them green. Rv people folks who take vacations but they want. They want the solar power on their rv and they want a toilet. That's not going to you know. Have a bunch of chemicals have to be added to visit the dumpsite. They'll use what's called a composting toilet. And so you know these things exist. And they recycle. Or otherwise reuse. There's a book actually that. I think this explains the concept that i'm trying to get across a much better. It's called human newer and it is. Yeah it's a good book. It's a short book and it explains like the practical. How tunis of how somebody figured out a couple of different ways you gain something out of what most people consider way straight if you can hit your house in the winter because you've created this this pile of waste. Why wouldn't you. it's free heat. I think there's probably people out there who would be like if you were starving. The only way to eat was to use your own poop to grow food. You would do it. No i would die. Because i don't wanna live on that planet. If that's the only way to eat well i mean there is already manure in a large amount of farming. So whether it's human way story. I always it's already there. You've already been eating politics. I have to say. I just don't wanna think about it. Human part is what's disgusting because the human part discussing versus animal. Because you already kind of know that there is made poop like earthworms poop turns into dirt dirt earthworm poop dirt earthworm. Well i mean dirt kind of the decomposition of all things about life. Yeah but some of it is yeah excrement but of course it is absolutely it is gross. Well i'm not saying it's not gross. My own poop in my household families poop there will be even worse. Can we move onto an..

It was also a girl thirty five centimeters wide or two inches. Oh my gosh. Hurt coming out the pool copper. Light the scientists will call it was found in nineteen seventy two and maybe they preserved sense. Who knows in fact. It was discovered in britain below the site that became known as lloyds bank's next to a bank. That was a rob a big deposit. It was a duck out by excavations from york. Archaeological trust is now in the old vic viking center. Let's hope it's the they have fresh coming out of the The casing wrapped around a copper. Light is actually. A fossilized feces is believed to be the largest. Ever fossilized human poop. I would've even thought consistently of meat and bread. Sounds like you'll talk victoria. Ronnie worrying visit the ancient worrying for the ancient lauper. Hundreds of parasitic eggs were discovered in the long log. That suggests the vikings who dropped the number to all those years ago were riddled with intestinal worms. Dr andrew. jane said. This is the most exciting excrement i've ever seen does. According to excavation research the copper light was covered with with moist in pt winning combination for the preservation of the organic matter keeping not only poop intact but timber textiles and leather to. It actually broke into three pieces off. The pin dropped whilst the next division in two thousand three is being reconstructed certificate a viking reconstructed by zd. Meat and bread knows. And now it's It's full length and are in visitors of the your vic viking center there. We go the world's largest liking poop. I mean he must have to grab older homes the push that one out so what. My daughters come here. They obviously like to entertain the corgi maggie. The kogi is a little bit of a wrong bunches very very very short legs. Long body much like zero and this. Tell us some of the exploits that you've had with a court kogi exploits. South maggie has now discovered a playground. So we've made her go down the slides in today on our morning walk. We took maggie to the playground. And we i was on the swing nice went in i had her in my lap and we were swinging. I don't know if she liked it but she has been exploring she she liked and she was obviously the says she's been on the swing and on the slide so far so quite a quite adventurous call. I would say so something. I was very worried about yesterday as well. Moving onto another topic my dad so my first visit to the pull this season and with a full harry bob rossa back. I'm very concerned that the had may clog up the filter the pool system and ruin everybody else's fun. It's entirely possible. Probably with the amount of hair you have on your back because the wax it does it does make me worry that everybody else is going to waxing in the city all these other chaps and they completely clean shaven and then i looked like some sort in the nfl. Mary gorilla. i'm i am worried. The bigfoot bigfoot spot association may come out and like try to put me in a cage and arrest me and show me to the public. That's how that's how worrying that it could. It could be a case where i may be mistaken as sasquatch especially those big hairy toes of yours. I was worried about the back. You worried about the toes. But that's a whole thing as well. I mean people have been locked up for year. Forget the harry bag. How about long tunnels still monstrosities yesterday. That should not have been out on display people that could dig gardens all they could also be hidden under bridges. And you've fearful about going over the bridge with this trophy. His feet were digging into the bottom of the pool. He was trying to dig a hole with his feet making the pool. A little bit deeper but digging my digging my way to australia becomes a boat at the poll was around. But everybody everybody remember this. You may look wonderfully get rid of the hassett and everything else Full the pool for the summer. But don't forget to tributo clause clip your calls so before my did child came to colorado to see me and she She did send me a clip of this primate swimming And i'm going to post up on twitter. And she said it. Remarkably looked like mesa tried to describe what this was so it was like a aranka tanger there. Some fish swim through and he had his cheeks full water. And it just looks so similar. Didn't have a middle aged spread as well hanging belly. A paulie as well. So he wasn't the most sort of a wasn't a fit monkey and he wasn't cutting through the water aerodynamically. A water dynamically. I guess he wasn't the most graceful. Do you think he looked like michael. Phelps the olympic gold winner now. No you make your way across the pool. So one of the most distinct awful crimes that i've seen this year was something was advertised and it drove me wild to say this pumpkin spice is already being advertised in may yes. This.

"And i don't even care that it's a manual focus lens. I'm cool with that. Focusing manually is not hard to do especially with the technology we have in our murless cameras at back in the day before auto focus and auto everything. I somehow managed to shoot sports while focusing and zooming at the same time. I don't even have zoom lens. Darn not a problem. It's a prime lens. This thirty three which works out to be a fifty millimeter lands in thirty five millimeter terms. Okay forty nine point five millimeter but close enough. We'll call it fifty we're rounding up. Is the leo argus. Thirty three millimeter. F zero point nine five. Cf apo argus by the way being the mythological greek guardian with a hundred eyes and all seeing vision and apt name considering that crazy. Bright sub f. one aperture so when you see argus on future leo lenses. Apparently that's an indication that this lens is designed to gather in abundance of light. This particular lands is just three point two six inches long. that's eight point two eight centimeters. it weighs in at a scant one point. Three pounds also has five hundred nine grams. It has a sixty two millimeter front filter thread size. Remember get eighty two and step up brings it's made up of fourteen elements. Trust me on that and nine groups including one low dispersion element one vehicle element and three high refraction glass moments to handle both lateral and longitudinal. That's hard to say. "At least that's the way she was billed though days cases more recent and should be easier to verify any backstory. Being offered by someone trying to sell tickets has to be taken with no pun intended a grain of salt. O.`day passed through the hands of at least four showman with names like hoot black and gold tooth Jimmy and was viewed in thirty eight states plus parts of Canada before being sold to Boswell in nineteen seventy five. He removed her from the traditional coffin in which she had been displayed because it offended the public which is a funny place to draw the line and he put her in the Palace of wonders. Alongside shrunken heads and animals. With too many body parts O. Tail may be less like the natural mummies we featured way back in Episode Sixteen Mummies Day and more like mccurdy and Farris that of a body with no one to claim it according to an account from W. F. Dub one of the first people to Exhibit O'Day I. The body was numb. Bombed body of some woman and the red hair was for real. I really don't know how she died. I don't think Marie ever saw the Great Salt Lake and I doubt she was ever even in the State of Utah. I heard a lot of stories about where she came from. And I don't know which one is the truth. The one that sounds the best is that she was found dead sitting in the waiting room of a bus station in Mississippi. There was no idea on her body or in her handbag but she was well-dressed and looked like class. The undertaker assumed someone would show up to claim her body and it would only be a matter of days until he could be rid of her well. The days turned into weeks then months then years and still no one showed up. After so much time had passed a traveling showman came by and offered him something for her. It seemed like a good idea to sell and recover. Something better still to be rid of her so he sold to owners later. Who Black Feast a problem? Not with the law but with rats during the off season when he wasn't on the road with O'Day black had to find a safe place to keep her he didn't want to risk the rats that habituated his storage shed getting to her so he would wrap O'Day up and sort her for the winter under the bed he shared with his wife. I'm willing to assume the wife knew about it because the human body is somewhat more conspicuous than say that Xbox your wife told you you couldn't afford when on the road. O.`day traveled in relative style in a specially converted semi truck boasting Marie. Oh Days Palace car on the side all linked to it in the show notes. If you don't see a link at me as the kids say on twitter at brain on facts pod or facebook or Instagram at your brain on facts black sold to Boswell who had O'Day until his death in two thousand and two. It was about this time that O'Day was examined by college. Professors Ron Beckett and Jerry on Lok for the NAT. Go show the mummy roadshow. They took O'Day to the Radiology Department at Wilson Medical Center North Carolina. Where a cat scan and tissue biopsies were taken in hopes of confirming or refuting the legends surrounding Maria. Day. With a sideshow money. There had to be a story to bring the people in says Kamoke for the carnivals. The story was more important than the mummy itself following a full day of studying and analyzing test results. The professors concluded that O.`day had more likely died from tuberculosis and not violent murder. Also that the modification resulted from using arsenic to embalm the body. Because the amounts found in the tissue for several hundred times the normal concentration. It seems that O'Day has passed the Boswell son and has been in storage ever since she fearing nearly had a shot at either returning to fame were finally being laid to rest when she was among the goods being appraised by Mike and Frank of the TV show American pickers. They passed on O'Day but did spend six hundred dollars on a wax. Elvis most of the bodies on this list brought in money for someone anyway after they died but one entrance was also a source of profit during her life. Julia Pastrana was born in the mountains of western Mexico. Eighteen thirty four. Her life was defined by her appearance. She was entirely covered with thick dark hair. Except for the palm super hands and cels her feet due to a condition called generalized hypertrichosis and the shape of her face was distorted by Ginger Ville Hyperplasia thickening of the lips and gums. The STRANA also had a very prominent brow with thick arched eyebrows an unusually broad nose and uneven teeth. Her mother was convinced that some sort of supernatural force was to blame her daughter's appearance. Such as Hollis sheep shifting where wolves of folklore that were said to cause stillbirths and deformities young. Julia spent the first few years of her life sequestered with her mother in a cave and then in an orphanage though some accounts have Pastrana being sold by an uncle to a circus after learning of her the state governor adopted Tuleya to serve as a sort of live in entertainer there. At least she was given an Education. She learns multiple languages in the arts as well as the manners of high society. She stayed in the governor's home until she was twenty when she decided to return to her village however Pastrana never completed her journey on her way home she encountered American showman who persuaded her to perform on stage soon after she began her career in the United States in Europe. Taking part in traveling. Freak shows and circuses though her singing and dancing were quite capable. That was what people pay to see. Astronomy was billed under names like the woman the baboon lady the nondescript or the bear woman from the wilds of Mexico. One newspaper account from the time said the eyes of this unusual Natura beaming with intelligence while its jaws jagged. Fangs and ears are terrifically hideous. Nearly its whole frame is coated with long glossy hair. It's voice is harmonious for the semi human being is perfectly docile and speaks Spanish language. The idea of Strana as a semi human was established by Dr Alexander Mont who examined her and declared her to be the hybrid of a human ended arena. Ten at the time rang. Itunes were considered to be the wildest and most primitive of primates with dangerous sexuality. Other doctors refuted this ridiculous claim but Pastrana's PR was based on it sharing promotional materials. That underlined her animalistic otherness in. She was described as originating from a tribe of route digger Indians who were spiteful and hard to govern living with animals and being intimate with them basically racism as your main or only selling point despite all of this though the Strana was a kind hearted gentle intelligent young woman. She loved to travel cook and so and willingly submitted herself to examinations by doctors before she was brought to Europe the Strana secretly married her next manager. Theodore lent many believed that she was genuinely in love while lint married her to ensure his golden goose never got away in eighteen fifty seven in Germany Pastrana appeared on stage in a play written especially for her the promotional posters for the show gave her quite a grotesque appearance with exaggerated red lips similar to depictions of African Americans. At the time. When the German audience saw Pastrana they considered the show to be in bad taste and rejected it outright to the point that police had to be called in to stop the show. That's right Germany. Found this whole situation to distasteful in January eighteen. Sixty while touring Russia. The STRANA gave birth to a baby boy also covered in hair by her manager husband. The delivery did not go well fully. Grown Pastrana was only four foot. Five hundred thirty five centimeters and one hundred twelve pounds or fifty kilos with narrow hips. The baby only survived about thirty five hours and three days later. Pastrana herself passed away from infection. Her last words were said to be. I Die Happy. I know I have been loved for myself. At least she's free. Now right to quote Ramsay Bolton if you think this has a happy ending you haven't been paying attention. Lent got another pay day off Pastrana by selling her and the baby to an anatomy professor in Moscow. Dr Sokolov Sokolov spent six months preserving their bodies with a technique. That was part on the fixation. Part taxidermy their bodies were posed in a glass case and put on display at Moscow university's Anatomical Institute when lent realized. There was still money to be made. He regained control over. Pastrana and their sons bodies and spent the next six years hauling. They're glass display case around the world while on tour with his family's corpses lent met Marie. Bartell who had the same rare conditions? Pastrana Solan wooed and married her two. He renamed her Sonora Pastrana and build her as hulas fictitious sister would perform on stage with the preserved bodies in the background. Later lent hit the embalmed bodies and started telling people that Sonora and Julia were actually the same person maybe Sonora just wasn't as big of a draw but Marie turned Sonora fared better than Julia in the long run after she and lent retired in Saint Petersburg lent insane and she had him committed to an asylum where he died..

"Getting ready for a big road game today and in buffalo or the ravens will hold to continue to some of their number one seed in the AFC I can't believe this but the Philadelphia Eagles are still alive yeah and you know it I don't know who wants it last Alistair if the horrible vision this year but again you always say in it because you just never know how that's going to turn on the post season so your best of luck to you yeah he laughs sarcastically all right so as we are drawn to the close of the year a lot of people start to think about their health we always do this we make new year's resolutions about Arnold one serious health issue for people consider is something called metabolic syndrome we've talked about it before but do you think most people know what metabolic syndrome is probably not Shanina Alice according to a national health survey more than one in five Americans actually has metabolic syndrome and believe it or not the number Sean increases with age affecting more than forty percent of people that are in their sixties and seventies so I I can tell you that you know I think a lot of people have metabolic syndrome and don't even know if they have the same job so what is it when we talk about metabolic syndrome what exactly are we talking about yes and and that's a great question it's a it's a group of conditions that actually increase our risk for heart disease stroke and I'd be this and those that you know it's really I always thought of it as a triad of can conditions along with for saying so remember high blood pressure high blood sugar and we can go over the specific numbers and increase cholesterol are really the three major things high blood pressure high blood sugar and high cholesterol levels but that's for thing is really access body fat and that excess body fat they were talking about is really around the waist so if you're a male and the circumference of your waist is more than forty centimeters that's considered bad if you're a woman and that circumference of your waist is greater than thirty five centimeters that's considered bad so you know all these things that I mentioned high blood pressure high blood glucose levels are high sugar levels increase cholesterol levels and we talk about increased cholesterol I'm really focusing on either increase triglyceride levels or decreased HDL levels so again I'll throw some numbers out there if your triglycerides are greater than one fifty for if you're a male and your HDL level is less than forty and your email and your HDL level is less than fifty maps that's a contributor to any of those things I just mentioned are contributors to the metabolic send we mentioned blood pressure when we talk about blood pressure member we're talking about the two numbers the top number and bottom number the top number is our systolic pressure and matches are hurt that's when our hearts contracting and the systolic blood pressure a systolic blood pressure equal to or greater than one thirty is considered you know contributory towards my locker drum or a diastolic pressure which remember is when our heart relaxes in the selling pressure at the bottom number sh when that bottom number is greater than or equal to eighty five that's also a contributor to metabolic syndrome and lastly just last number to throw people if you're fasting glucose is greater than a hundred that's a contributor to metabolic syndrome and it's interesting shot all these things were mentioning high blood pressure blood sugar obesity or or you know some centripetal obesity or central obesity and increase cholesterol levels independently all of those things we've talked about in the past our contributors to the cardiovascular disease hi but if you have those that that cluster a triad along with being overweight you know your risk for heart disease stroke and diabetes it's actually increases exponentially yeah there's no doubt about that I think that when you talk about the these numbers and then you need to have your blood work done at least on an annual basis maybe more of you have certain conditions in and shows check with your physician to do that but we all kind of know if we've got that belly fat chances are you've got at least some markers for this metabolic syndrome so that's something we can feel we can physically see and that that pretty much I think would would denote that day you you better do something about it right absolutely China Max you know of all the things you mentioned that's the most obvious that and and that can also be changed email a lot of these things that were mentioning you don't think about it or the underlying causes of of metabolic you know syndrome obesity is going to an activity genetic factors in advancing age well you know it's it's hard to change genetic factors you know that the cards we're dealt as we get older obviously we know you know the machine doesn't work quite as well or quite as efficiently should I say but you know two of those four things I mention obesity in physical activity those are two things that we can absolutely modify that we can absolutely change and you're at York a hundred percent right when he said you know we can see how you look in the mirror you can I mean it's it's not a secret you know you know if you're overweight you know what your your belt size is you know what you're you're you're the size of your slacks is you know all that stuff right so you can see touch and feel that but you know you know most people don't walk around see Jeez I have high blood I feel like I have high blood pressure or Jeez my my glucose is high you know or Jeez my triglycerides feel higher my HDL levels feel low I mean you can walk around for years and not even know those things are happening and and that's where the danger John I think it's becoming increasingly more common especially among the baby boomers have sold doctor why is well you know it's a great question John I I don't know if obviously we have the answers for that but you know I think a lot of it is just you know I think a lot of us are reactionary and not really we don't really think of our health and a proactive way in other words there aren't too many people out there that say you know what I'm gonna keep a close watch on my cholesterol I'm gonna keep a close watch on my glucose levels and I'm gonna make sure that I stay healthy most people just know get to that point where they're not healthy and then kind of due to backtrack on now you know what do I do now well it's not what you can do now it's what you should have been doing for the past twenty years and a lot easier for us to start now and and not worry about things later I mean yeah I see this in my office all the time you know when I I I see a lot of octogenarians or eighty plus year old and I I look at and I'm like Jesus this person just looks so healthy you know they don't look AT they look more like six and I see some my six year old I see Jesus person looks more like eighty you know what's the difference and it's a common theme shop it's a common theme and it's exactly what I what I always ask these these ladies and gentlemen you know what do you do what what were what don't you do and it's it's just a common theme I never smoked you know if I drank it's it's you know it's it's one drink or during the holidays very you know social drinker at most and they're not overweight they eat properly they all exercise they all get theirs their fair share of sweet and this is a common theme you know that's and you know the the the the sixty year old that looks more like an eighty year old they're smokers they're drinkers they you know they they played life very hard and it catches up to you all these things in the long run catch up with you they they always do now let's talk about some of these things that you're mentioning now some of the risk factors that increase our chances of of developing a metabolic syndrome also some of the diet the house a poor diet impact as and and increase our chance of metabolic syndrome well sure and you know poor diets and and and what is a poor diet I think a lot of the problems today is we don't know what a proper diet is right I know we've ever taught us knowledge and a lot of a us as physicians we have the problem you know a patient comes in our office and they're a piece and you say are a little sorry I can't be in your place on your hip replacement you have to lose weight go lose weight and when the and then when you do come back and see I mean that that could be one of the coolest things you could ever say to a patient because I use the analogy I talked my patients about this it's the same thing as saying that somebody you've never played golf before in your life here's a bag I'm gonna give you fourteen clubs and go out and play ten around the come back and tell me how you did I guarantee you if you get no direction and teaching never picked up a golf club that's not gonna be a fun ten rounds of golf you're gonna come back very frustrated and say what they hated you do to me that's that's not that's not nice well it's the same thing yeah you know pushing a page out of your office and saying you have to lose weight a lot of this is Sean just just have been doing these habits and and been in this situation for a very very long time and eating you know you know listening to this dire that diet or or this shattered apps that are with the cookie diet the grapefruit diet the no we diet the fasting diet no they're all these different things out there and a lot of these diets they're fad diets and they don't teach you how to eat properly we tend to have forgotten about what the four food groups are and we can do a forgotten about portion and portion control and that's really what it's all about you know eating at you know maintaining a diet that is that is you know low in saturated fats trans fats understanding what it what is serving size is like a piece of meat should be no larger than the palm of your hand you know and serving size of grain that should be what you can put in your in the palm of your hand you know and a lot of us who don't do that right we tend to supersize things and we tend to eat a lot of red meat now I'm a red meat eater I love my share sticks but if we could try to decrease the amount of red meat we eat and increase the amount of fish that eat now and that kind of ties into the Omegas John you know it it ties into the omega three fatty acids and how important they.
