"Is seventy yards away way. The camera angle look look like thirty yards twenty hours. I'm like this doesn't seem that difficult. But then i was like. They showed the long shot of it. I'm like okay. This is insane watching. Bmx right now. Ooh that's happening. This sport in baseball is not there there. Roy alvarez was the flagbearer. He's on the marlins. Seems like a big fan of that. You complain play where they don't send you why didn't see the olympic ceremony openness emory. Todd father is on the olympic baseball team this year. Really yeah good for you now. We play the game. Of what sport could you do. Great in the olympics. I wanna play the opposite of that. What sport like looks like. Oh my god. I would be the worst at its ping pong like good god. Are these people good at ping pong table tennis. I would probably drown playing water polo. Yeah now many olympic events do you think you may Perish participating in. How many are there like. Twenty six twenty seven probably died like twenty five of them probably do golf without dying and soccer. That's about it. Yeah that's about it. I would die playing three on three. What come on talk me to death. Steve volleyball figuratively right. I probably like terror my entire. Acl playing beach volleyball whole marathon. If you hadn't existed through the twenty six point two there there's a real there's a real condi- but like most of the sports i mean. Yeah okay if you attempted to do. Gymnastic moves off a giant beam. And you're doing twists in the air neck. You can die these rhythmic gymnastics though which is basically like ribbon dancing. I think you're unless you somehow tangle yourself up with the ribbon. I think you're good but it's more than just is on there. You got the ball. Was seeing these people do anything on the horse when the sources dancing. I feel like i can do this. You put me on top of the best horse in the game and you say go you let the horse start doing his little ankle dance this. I do the voice solution. If i had to compete right now like in and our dangerous i have to compete with hold on a second with no experience on a horse. I've been on a horse before. Google criticize sure. I'm not just go. You give a little with your inner. He'll you give a little kick. The horse he goes research dancing. It's repealing sweated you do that too. Poor chris i'm like yes to horses are dangerous but like horseback riding is different than horse. Dancing is it not. But he's i think that he thinks he could do. Could you do horse jumping now. Listen i'm not. Billy i know you always think i'd do were. I think i can do everything i don't know. I just too busy olympics. You've never done. Just set if i if the if we had made up gamers like you have to perform in something in the olympics. Our throw me on that horse. that does little. You just play golf for baseball. Because i literally think i would compete at a at a higher level leading the horse. Do the work my point is. Is that these people are doing anything but horses doing it in baseball. I would be terrible compared to adam frazier dot father. Chris i in baseball. I okay. Chris aren't people on the horse. Dancing like jockey sized like your your distinctly not jockey size. I don't think the horse dancers are jockey sized. i think those was only the horse racist because bruce springsteen's daughter is still watching this resource now this thing's trotting around she'll chris show chris got a private video and billy private video but none of us got a private video pretty up. It hurts just made my head hurt. Cody what have you brought to this. How g's decide. Edge skeet shooting. Actually roy brought the topic that you were just talking about. Which was the horse dancing and also allowed us to call. Ron mcgill so. I feel like he brought quite a bit. So you can kiss my ass. Wow an acrimonious ended to this mystery. Yeah jesus christ even like each other anymore guys. This was tens episode next week group. Therapy no i. I think he could do badminton. I i said i could do batman. You'd be like no you ridiculous war. He will gain hip with the shuttlecock. So i can't talk. That's basically the rules around here. So group therapy next week. No i'm good..

"Oh wow how about that. So i on the show the other day posited that i think that the other swimming strokes beyond the free style are bullshit. I don't understand why they exist. There's only one fast way to swim. Why are we doing. The other ways the backstroke. I was thinking. I was thinking about in these terms. If you were in a pool. Swimming which swimming strokes would you use. It would be a front. What they i believe they call it the front stroke and then the backstroke. So why why would you like. You never breaststroker kind of paddling around. Maybe would but if you're if you're trying to swim for speed you would do either front stroke of going forward or back. Sure we're going back. The butterfly makes no sense to me. Well this ever can. I just jump in. This is so wittingham. We were supposed to celebrate an olympic sport here and you're basically telling an olympic sport why they're wrong. That's a little doing essentially. But here's what happened. I went through the history of swimming and it turns out the the breaststroke came. I know the breastroke came i here. Here's your ears that we know there are cave. Drawings from ten thousand years ago that show the first human swimming and there was basically a means of survival to get through water and they were doing the breaststroke right so we begin with the breaststroke. There's there's there's a bloke in the eighteen sixties who swims across the english channel to get england to france using the breaststroke. It took him twenty one hours to travel the thirty four kilometers between england and france. Then we go on from there. The first olympics features the breastroke in one thousand nine hundred eight then an enterprising fella decided what if i did the motions between the breastroke over the water so that i had less resistance rather going through the water. I went over the water and this guy was accused of all kinds of chicanery because he's flying way faster than everyone else's because he's going over the water and then doing the breaststroke over and under and he's not meeting the resistance then other people start doing it but then other people kept to the traditional breaststroke and then the butterfly gets introduced own event in one thousand nine hundred. Fifty eight wait. I thought you were saying the freestyle came. I was thinking you know what what is what is what is now known as freestyle. I'm going to have to pull it up here. Because i looked i read this earlier. It's it's called something else. The actual technical term for the stroke is called something else. But we're only dealing with with with breaststroke for the moment. Okay so in the breaststroke a by the way the regular free style. It's called the front crawl turns out so in in the in the breaststroke. The guy does the butterflies butterfly because his own thing. And it's only somewhere around this period that the front stroke gets discovered and becomes its own event so actually the the front stroke slash freestyle was among the more later adapted versions of swimming competition. So i couldn't have been more wrong and it turns out that. Do the front stroke or the front crawl. Excuse me Was kind of the johnny-come-latelies swimming. Even though it has ended up becoming the fastest most efficient way to swim. Breaststroke is the worst right. We can just agree the most awkward for your elders. It's not something you do for speed right if you were trying to swim if you're trying to survive or just kind of paddle along in a pool you might do the breaststroke but if you're actually like i'm going to fly across the other end of the pool. The breaststroke is the least efficient way to travel. Which is why. I thought the idea of having a race seem stupid. That's jacoby who destroyed the brick. Yeah flying across the pool. What is the fastest rates is at the free style. Like what method. Swimming quickest it is. It's like the sprint of of yeah. You have have the fifty meter which the fifty meter freestyle is one of the best olympic events right like i like the butterfly. I mean michael phelps just like set a standard for that but just the look of that. That's my favorite. Just aesthetically to watch hicks up as the relays are so excited wrong. Cheering cheering on their teammates. Yes so i also find fascinating that be pressing. The button at the end of his of the swimming race is a legitimate part of the competition. If you don't get it right or if you don't like if you don't have a technique and a punch this thing because you're basically so at the end of the race you have to hit the wall and that signals the end of your race. There's got to be a technique in that and might be shaved seconds loss in there. That might cost your race. I'm kind of curious how that's taught. Like how how how. People decide their technique for punching the wall at the end of a race. Yeah so it's amazing how the people like the the analysts for the swimmer like he knows instantly if they got a good jump off he's like oh not a good start. It's like how do you they all have us swimmers or something that they're experts but it's just like their ability to see the status crazy last night with caleb russell law two nights ago. I suppose he chris were. You're watching that. When you jumped up rowdy gaines games like he gets so much power back leg. No one has a start. Like caleb dress while i was like look at that back dudes so fat. What i'm talking about though. I love the slow motion that they show of the get off of the start of a race which is like the slow motion wiggle of them. So good you guys really love the olympics. i've been watching every day. I'm really into it really and every morning too. I was watching yesterday. Wins tuesday morning. Sloan byles sacked out. I was watching that live and then went to work and nothing is better for me than morning sport. I love morning sport rather than putting something on tv in the morning. Let's like people talking. If i can just put the usa network on right now. I have an aunt and there's table tennis it's great. It's just great to look up while you're working and to see that. Some a sporting event is being played. I was watching archery the other day and after like five minutes of watching. I was like i feel like this. Isn't that hard. Until i learned that the thing.

"Too like hunt you down and make sure that they can't find like any specific thing that you're doing so that they can negate your claim like if you're hit by a car and you're like hey i injured my back and then like an insurance company can hire a detective in be like. We saw you walking your dog yesterday. So you're not that injured. We're not gonna pay out your claim like that's what they do. I'm exaggerating slightly. This has actually happened to me. But i've heard horror stories. Yeah a few horror stories. Have you heard. Just out of curiosity say hippo. I can't anyway so trampoline. Thirty two athletes sixteen men sixteen women. Each will perform two routines and qualifying. The first has very specific requirements. And then the second one is voluntary. And then i guess they add up the scores from those two in the top eight move on now because as we discussed the women's championship is already been decided the men's side. The people's republic of china are favored to win two medals two medals for the people's republic of china. And at first. Because i'm bad at reading. I thought that there was different. Olympic trampoline activities that they gave away medals for but then i just realized no they have to athletes so they're getting two medals because each one of them would get a medal in the one competition. So that's going on now. People's republic of china is led by reigning world champion. Gal lay which i think. That's how you pronounce his name. Who won the bronze in two thousand sixteen at rio. And then don don who won a gold lebron's anna silver in the last three olympics. All right yeah so back to the way that the sport works is the idea. You're doing tricks on a trampoline is at the idea or is there some other like you mentioned meeting required like what are the requirements to my understanding. Yeah the first one has specific requirements. And then the second one is more of a free style. I would imagine you could kind of get gygi with it as they say and just of do whatever it is a you wanna do that. No that's a technical term trampoline is it it is points for getting gygi with it yet. Score what what. What do you think you'd be best trampoline by the way just on. I'm a novice trampoline. Right they appear to go. And i don't know that this is accurate. They appear to go four hundred feet in the air at the olympics. Right they go very very high. They're hearing the statue of liberty detailing he watch them highlights of this. Yeah they go very high. You guys go to sky zone or equivalent of sky zone you know skies on his. No guys owns essentially a trampoline park where you can go and it's like an indoor trampoline tornado my go to those all the time It's a dangerous game being zaidi anytime hosted video there are foam pits there basketball hoops. You could kinda jump up to a dunk on. And then they're sitting. There are rooms that are just trampolines. The entire floor is made up of trampolines for like two hundred feet. And it's like obviously individual trampolines because two hundred foot long trampoline. You wouldn't be able to bounce on but there's a bunch of individual trampolines like two hundred feet long and then the walls are angled with trampolines on the wall that you can bounce off of. But as chris cody was saying tornado city. The adults are always getting injured. They're like horrific injuries happen a trampoline. It looks dangerous. i'm not gonna lie. It's looks like my achilles tendon just explode. It's really exhausting though. Yeah well it's like the little like bouncy workout thing. Oh yeah prepare but they have really cool socks they go. Wow that was a good horse. Sound right there. Resources feed clapping. Whenever you've done dressage. She's good jessen. I've been watching for ten minutes. This video of this horse dancing and it's it's a roller coaster ride i. I was impressed. And i'm starting to feel bad for the horse. There's not even anyone riding this horse. What was i was just watching. Gala lays routine from rio twenty sixteen. They won him his gold medal home. And hell i love that. We're all just on youtube horses man. Where's this horse video. I don't see it all right. Sorry that was a private message. Chris own message fagin. I mean we rented koetter. Dancing unison.

"I wanna talk to you about trampoline today and i'm gonna be one hundred percent honest with you and i'm going to kind of break the fourth wall if you will. It's thursday right now. We're recording this. You're not listening to this on thursday. Yeah i know just what. The women's final is on friday morning at one. A m so by the time this comes out. The women's final will have been completed so well. That's the thing i don't currently know who won because again for me chris. It's thursday even listening. It's already been determined yet. You want to pick up in the middle of the night and say well. It actually turned out. That's so and so won that do that billy. Yeah i'll do that. Except but in the meantime we'll pretend things and then what you guys are thinking trampoline. I can do that. I had a trampoline in my yard. I could be an olympic trampoline right. Is that what you guys are thinking. What was everybody's go to trick as a child on the trampoline. I like to do the one where jumping with somebody. And i want to send them extra high years jump. That gets them extra high. I like to kind of be like flatten out of the air. Like i kind of fully horizontal and then pop back up. So does your hit the ground and then you pop up there sure. Yeah wow Recive jess all right. I was texting back eight fagin recording. We're just we're having a good conversation. I didn't want to leave her hanging. I'm sorry i don't do this often. I say repeat that. I'm sorry i bet. Crushes from i bet roy crust a trampoline in his youth I'm sorry i was on twitter. Whenever you guys are popcorn on a trampoline is that where you say criss cross and then people jump. Yes someone gets like a little ball. Sometimes chris costs applesauce. Sometimes you get like a cannonball formation and then you have like three or four people jumping around nice to see how high they can launch you up into the air as kate escape. She's done it. I will when i was younger. We used to have sleepovers on trampolines and we'd sleep outside on the trampoline seems uncomfortable. Did you dangerous. Also did you guys live scared and you had like wall on the side of your trampoline or did you guys go no wall that no all. Yeah what do you mean wall while there are some trampolines that it is a net wall. It's like just to protect you from falling. Yeah like i didn't like those trampolines call. I actually found those in in theory to be more dangerous than regular traveling. Just because i was getting higher than some of those net walls right where i felt like i may have accidentally jumped outside of it and i couldn't get back because i always thought in my head even if i jump outside of it i can hear swim. Back of the trampoline can do that villain well in my head. I could exactly thank you. Thank you chris. Campaigns are dangerous. though right they all little scary. I actually got trampoline one year for my birthday. What i did is. I saved up all my money that i had gotten from like my birthday and all kinds of communities and whatever right so i saved up all my money. I like you know what. I want to buy a trampoline. This is what. I wanna to get so. I bought a trampoline. I went and i looked and found one that i wanted. I wanted i gotta put it in the yard rate and then that trampoline died when i found out that traveling die when i found out peace and yeah well homeowners. Insurance goes up if you have a trampoline so after a certain amount of time stupid. Google earth took a picture of my parents house where the trampoline was where they would not have seen it because it was in a yard with a fence that you couldn't see through wooden fence but google earth alerted via the insurance company that there was a trampoline there and they said you know what cool pool trampoline the trampoline. Google earth that sting operations. I would assume that maybe the trampoline or not traveling. The insurance company is the one that noticed it but they had never got into the house. They'd never got into the yard but they were notified that there was a trampoline and say you know what you can have this trampoline. But it's gonna cost twice as much to ensure your home and my parents were like billy. We need to talk about this trampoline. And at the time i was already kinda getting older anyway so i understood as like you know what maybe we can get rid of this trampoline because it does have kind of rusted springs and its lawsuits kind of protective covering. And maybe it's tearing a little bit. Maybe they have a point. Maybe a have this trampoline. Yeah did you ever have the sad. Single trampoline had one of those. I don't know why. I made it sad but compared to the backyard trampoline it is. Those things are like exercise things like. There's this whole exercise industry where you sit on the little. Don't sit on it. You do like. I don't want to so hard you like. You like do a squat and you jump the whole time while you're listening. Gosh it is the hardest workout. Because you're literally just in a squat jumping up and down the whole time doing like curls and shit. I don't like those because they don't have much spring action they they're very hard counts high on. That's why do you have to bend your knees like really deep to get like a good like bounce. Have you done like a stick. Have you ever jumped on a pogo stick. Stick's i've always wanted to be good at pogos. On why jess yeah. That's the chits pointless. Pogo sticks like congrats on nothing. I don't care if you're pogo stick. What did you ever experience with pokes wrong. Pointless like it's not a fun activity. There's so many things we this is fun and then it's just like who no. It's not fun. I tried it. I'm assuming with this animosity sticks. My neighbor was good. That was bad. Legitimacy i feel like a pogo stick. Even if you're good at it you get like two or three jumps out of it right. I mean yeah who's going along distance on a pogo stick post six or one of those things that it's more exhausting than just walking somewhere like yeah jogging or whatever like skateboards for me was always one of those things where a lot of people were like. Oh let me get escape. Were to do so. I'm not going to be tony. Hawke right so i'm going to get a skateboard. I'm gonna fall on when a scrape my knee. I'm gonna you know. Bang up my arm. Whatever i'm going to have to wear a helmet. I'm never going to be good enough. And it also was so much more exhausting to kind of push the skateboard. And try to do these tricks than just simply. Walking from data point for me are pogo sticks in the olympics. What's up where we had. We ended up here. No we were. Just talking about speaking transitioned from trip from trampoline to pogo sticks. I'm also stuck on the notion that insurance companies just uncomfortable earth going to communities checking in on houses that seems like bullshit insurance companies detectives.

"It feels most of the swimmers that that crush though are in their mid twenties like it's rare to see someone in their teens dominating swimming like like phelps. I think was like dominating the butterfly at an early age. But he wasn't like you know you know in in researching and researching my swimming bit. Which i'll do in a in a second smaller. I saw there is a woman who who won one of the swimming events at seventeen. So i mean is possible to to dominate young age. It is possible. But i think what does the age limit for the olympics fourteen. Sixteen it's in the mid teens. But i'm not sure exactly because simone biles missed the cutoff. By one month for london she would have been able to compete in london. Had she been like a month younger. But i can't remember what the exact age was one more follow up. How do countries decided with sports. They're going to be good at because it seems counter. Intuitive that canada would have a dominant beach volleyball team why there are beaches in canada. Yeah but it's cold there lot you also need to plan sand. It doesn't actually have to be on a beach. You could anywhere live in california but compete for canada. And the i know but you figured like you know portugal. Spain brasilia's the bath beach Croatia i think as a fairly significant beach culture. Like you figured it'd be like like for example. I was watching the three x three. The basketball and apparently like mongolia decided to pick up three x three basketball. And it's like hey we're going to try and be good at this and i've always kind of wondered. How do you do because the us clearly attempts to be good at everything right but other countries were there. Just kinda selectively deciding. What will be good at this. But we won't give it a go at that like. I wonder how that process goes. Why are men's soccer team. Suck well because we are generations behind attempting to be good at it and xactly. I think there's like lessons to be learned to apply that to all sports and other countries popularity. I think is a hard thing to gauge. Like something can be really popular in california but someone in ohio's never heard of it but california's big enough and has an economy enough that Can like it can only california Like california had an olympic team. Actually that'd be cool. If instead of like next olympics instead of we compete as united states each state sends their own team. I feel california like finished in the top ten in the medal count. Isn't that what the us championships would be well. Maybe i don't know your state though. I feel like no. I mean like if you're in college we should have. We should have united states olympics. Where it's just only. The united states completed called qualifying country. News is more state pride. I know but like you said you're not paying your state..

"Is if you don't wanna be doing this jessica. Chose that ass beach volleyball. Because i love beach volleyball. I've decided so beach. Volleyball originated after the turn of the century perhaps in hawaii but also made it might have been in santa monica santa. Monica is kind of like the beach volleyball hub of the united states so beach volleyball is a form of regular volleyball which was invented around the same time as indoor basketball funnily enough so the difference between beach volleyball an indoor volleyball is that beach. Volleyball has two people on each side. They play on a beach in the sandwich and instead of playing about five they play a best of three and the court is a lot smaller. Not a lot smaller. It's a little bit smaller and you can move freely about the court so an indoor volleyball if you're in the back row you can't move into the front row in vice versa. I believe but i'm beach volleyball. You and your partner can go anywhere. You can even go on the other team side if you don't interfere with them to make sure that you can save the ball so the. Us is very good at beach volleyball. The women in particular. They won six of the twelve gold medals since beach. Volleyball became an olympic sport in one thousand nine hundred ninety six at the atlanta olympics. And you guys may be familiar with kerri walsh jennings and missy trainer. They're like the goat beach volleyball players. Managers wife former marlins back catcher. Wow that's fun fact. They were beach volleyball goats and this is the first year that kerri walsh jennings not in the olympics. In a really long time because she she failed to qualify and to. Us women's teams are in the women's tournament. One is her former partner. April ross and the other and her partner. This time around is alex kleinman. They're the number two team in the world right now so they have a very good chance of winning gold and the other team are two twenty. Four one is twenty. Four and one is twenty-five very young. Their names are kelly clays and sarah sponsors. So the ones that beat out kerri walsh jennings team in qualifiers so there. The youngest beach bible team in us history. I'm watching actually right now on. Tv screen men's beach volleyball. And i'm noticing that that they each player in the team has a one and the other one has a two. We know how to decide which persons the one in which persons the to now. I'm not sure that's a very good question. Reason for the person that likes. Start serving the one i dunno. I used to be a do a middle school volleyball players. So i know some of the lingo. They do make hand signals behind their backs. Sometimes they'll see the cameras zoom in on their butts in the hand signals will mean like which side they're going and and it's one of those sports where you really have to be vocal with teammate. And and the other thing about beach volleyball. It makes it a little bit harder than indoor volleyball. Is that an indoor viable. You can like dink. The ball over the net and i read that in beach volleyball. You can't do that. you can only spike it over the net or like hit it over the net. You can't just tap it over because yeah so that makes it a little bit more difficult so you see a lot of like the strategy is obviously to set it up so that you can make big spike bump set spike. Yeah exactly yeah. I have a question. It seems counterintuitive. Then in indoor volleyball where it's easier to move because you're not running through sand and the court is only slightly bigger why you'd have six players and indoor volleyball and two and beach volleyball. It doesn't seem like the beach volleyball. Players can cover nearly the real estate that the indoor volleyball players. It seems like it would be the reverse where you'd have six beach volleyball players per team and two indoor volleyball players team wide. Why was there a reduction in the number of volleyball players. And you're playing beach when there's so much more terrain to cover per person on a more difficult service to run through well. At the beginning the origins of beach volleyball they did play six per side. And if you go down the street and south beach. I saw on my way to work yesterday. There are people who play beach viable but in olympic beach volleyball. It's two per side and part of the reason for that is that the court is smaller so people can cover the ground as you know just by themselves. I don't know if that answers your question. you know once a year just. There's a college beach volleyball tournament. That happens at those courts. Wow yeah spring break. I believe wow also another question. Why are there some olympic sports where you can play into your forty and there are other olympic sports. Where you're a has been at twenty two. I mean. I think that just has to do with like how physical sport is and whether you can maintain your skills right. I'm surprised kerri. Walsh jennings filled dalhousie hirsute out here doing it in their forties. When you figure like beach volleyball seems to be a young man's game. I don't know i mean i think it just depends like i mean not to state the obvious. It depends on the sport you have forty year old basketball players forty year old soccer players this year. I feel like there's only a couple sports. Like maybe i wouldn't even say swimming. There are some older swimmer. Sometimes but like nasty gymnastics is the main one. Where if you're to they're like an old lady. I wasted that many more. That are that extreme. Maybe we should have a senior division for the sports for you know for like an olympic for senior. You can be old. Simone biles twenty four. Yeah that's why she calls like. She calls herself the grandma of the group. That's why she's twenty four yeah. I'm surprised that swimming is one of the like. Why would swimming be inherently some that. Only young people can do damage only physical but so is beach volleyball. So i'm not really sure i'm just because of the pipeline of players. Swimming is a lot bigger. There's more people competing for fewer spots..

"It land then on chris. Talk chris. I'm gonna do water polo today. Want games of water polo. The other day and i just found it so delightful i found it. It's something i wish that. Like me and my friends could do like. I wish they instead like instead of going to the basketball court. Meet some friends at the pool and play some water polo for some exercise and it seems like we have a little bit of a soccer situation with water polo where the women the women are dominant. They won in two thousand twelve. They wanted to sixteen. They're the favorites to win this year. The men are like middle of the road team. I watch them play against south africa and they dominated so i was thinking that they're really good but south. Africa is terrible so us men not as good as the us women. The women did actually just lose the hungary for the first time in a long time. But i'm excited. I'm excited about water polo. That kind of just like. That's all the info i had right there. I just gotta gave it all to use. Now you guys ask follow ups about water oil. So how deep is the pool first of all because they can't touch the bottom right like they have to basically doggy paddle. And then i think there's a rule about how long you're able to hold the ball but i'm not sure about that either because that's one of the things when i was looking into water polo years ago. That seemed very difficult. I also read. The game is distinctly different above the surface of the water and below the surface of the water. The service of the water. Apparently they beat the shit out of each other. But they're kind of playing. Normally i was where is the contact. Where's the defending in this sport. And apparently it happens the surface of the water and unless nbc shows it to. You can't really see it. Apparently the pool is two years so just over six six and a half feet. that seems that seems shallow. I thought it would have been deeper. Because these people's like the men. I was watching. They seem large and they don't seem to be close to the bottom of the floor so that's actually roll if if your head is above the water then that is your heads like what eight inches tall. So you'd you have to be like over seven feet tall to be able to stand and see above the water when they show it like a fairly sizable distance between the feet. And the bottom of pool as i understand foot right here. An olympic sized swimming pool. What was interesting to me. Is that when. There's a dirty sport physical. I know you were saying that. It's like it's almost like hockey and the game continues on when there's a penalty so they'll call penalty on somebody and somebody has to swim off and it's now six on five but the game doesn't stop they keep playing. So it's kinda interesting on that. I feel like i feel like it would be fun to play. I say that knowing that ten minutes in i would be dead registered. That seems not fun is is very fine. How many players per side cody seven. I believe interesting. I'm so like yes. Then yeah because when there's a penalty goes down a sixty five but it's with a goalie so seven and did they play sets or do they play one match. And how many points do you have to win. It's one game and it's time that there's no point total. It's four quarters and boss. Yeah it's just you play you know until the game's over and that's your game so there's no there's not multiple sets. Thank you for asking questions that i actually know the answer to. I'm feeling very informed about this. Usa women right there at school. The dominant and i did not know that until a couple of days ago what states is water polo popular and i think. People are playing in the northeast. But i don't know chris finance now that's right. I'm seeing a very popular in the northeast. Lebron james of water polo google that one by the way while he looks set up the olympic sized swimming pool. It's one of the only like olympic references that we have in everyday life right. Yeah i mean. I like olympic rings are used occasionally but like everyday life no the olympic size swimming pool might be the only one. I also don't believe that people have olympic sized swimming pools right like you often see things where it's like. Oh this university this. Whatever has an olympic sized swimming pool. And it's like why watch the olympics and it takes them like twenty seconds to get from one end to the other while the camera's panning and i can't see one end of the pool to the other end of the pool right. Yeah particularly when like when decky runs the fifteen hundred and she's lapping people and it's like she's going by people that are coming back on the previous lap. I've seen what have been told to me are olympic size swimming pools on on like. There's no way this pool is nowhere near the size of the pools that i see. Athletes compete in during the olympics. I just don't believe it. So miami has an olympic sized pool is fifty meters. I don't believe it it is. But i've been in. That pool is fifty meters wide. Believe that but i don't believe that it's the same size pool that they used for the olympics. Also what did they do with these venues after the olympics question these massive venues for swimming with multiple olympic size pools. They have to go largely time. We're actually people are real. No i was at braves game a few years ago and the word the atlanta olympic like. There's still like a bunch of things that just go unused seems very wasteful. Yes that is why a lot of times they don't want to send up certain countries in cities protest the olympics. Coming there because there's a vast amount of resources put into building these stadiums that are not put into alleviating poverty or feeding people who are hungry. It's et cetera. Bellary all rio all these sales a very famous example of that because one of the soccer stadiums they built in brazil. You can google in. Manaus is now. It's basically in. The middle of the amazon and the amazon has reclaimed it and so they spent millions of dollars stadium in manaus. Yeah google freeze and stuff growing inside of. It hasn't been up at all. I remember the the. Us played a group stage game. There was like jeremy. Schaap was doing a report from the stadium with a giant insect like the size of his shoulder on his shoulder. Tremendous by the way to answer your question about where people play water polo. The us women's team that you reference only two players in the team are not from california so it seems like california is our is our hub of water polo however there is one slayer who is a goalkeeper for the us. Women's water polo teams from miami name. Is ashley johnson. All right chris. Good i'm good. I'm good chris. Good good good. Good roy wanton next goddamn thing.

"Got the best. okay. I loved dressage. Tell us more roy. So united states earned if under silver is the best finish in seventy three years. Now why is this an olympic sport. How does he get the horses to do that. That's the real question this is slade doing. It's like it's like they're just go in. The horse knows the whole routine. It doesn't seem like they're actually doing much. Just get up and the horse does its thing roy. I have a question for you. Does the human or the horse get the medal in this. Do they get horse metals or does only the human get rewarded for human gets The mental the horse does not get them. Get some treat. I would say horsh shit but yeah either way. same. I really would like to talk to ron. Mcgill about this and see how he feels them across recalling mcgill. Here we go. What are we going to ask you. what am i ask him. 'cause you feel about the question of in both dressage and The jumping okay. Let's do this. What's the jumping called. Roy equestrian. i don't know. I figure what would have a different name. So your expert you chose. This chose the side i didn't. I chose one question equation there. It's like pant size your brother. I'm back again another animal question. We're talking olympics. What are your thoughts on the question event where the horses seemed to dance in their bloodline It's almost like an instinctive thing that they dance that way. I don't look at it as cruelty to horses day. Seem to you. Know whether it be the past fino's or whether the horses they call the from spain the lipizzaners You know that's just an athletic feet in that particular animal. That's something that they're forced to do something. They're beaten into doing anything like that. It's just part of their their their who should get the medal. In this event the horse medal. I get the metal. Please come on. That's me torsion in my right. It's hor shit. Don't put the metal around. The frequent was awesome jumping portion of the competition in his his. He'll tell us what to do but the horses doing it. We're all right now in our zoom screen doing a little dance that the horses do or it looks like they're like it's really cool. Can you do the dance. Ron ron do the dance. We can't do the dance. And we're jumping portion. Of course that's what i love about. You always think about the new smart. Chris thank you. I love you more philly. We ended up good. They're riding wanna ask him about the jump. Additive love in their love. You love you more. You hang up. Yeah ronnie. That's what i call roy well done. "Welcome into another edition of mystery create. I'm chris. I'm here with chris. Billy and roy as today. We have olympics fever here on mystery crate. I imagine we've all been watching the olympics in some capacity and we kind of wanted to do deep dives on either lesser known. Sports things that perhaps you didn't know about various sports at the olympics against we'll just start with general olympics chat roy how much how much olympics are tried to watch every night but for the sports zone. I'm going to talk about today. I don't think very many people know about these. Sports was going to be short. So do you guys do the thing where you get the results early in the morning of stuff that happens. And then you watch prime with your spouse and your spouse doesn't have the results and then you ask super informed and it's like i bet i bet she's gonna do well here and then you just look really cool. I do that all the time. No my wife hates said so my view is is. I don't mind not knowing about what happened in the events like there are a lot of people get annoyed at nbc for tape delaying everything into their prime time thing. And it's like. I'm not really that precious about knowing what the results are. If i if i know something i'll watch it again if i don't know something i don't care that it happened twelve hours ago like i don't need to be across all of the events as they happen timeline. Police are the worst. I did that with the opening ceremonies. I watched the opening ceremonies when they were live at eleven. Am and then. I saw that it was rebroadcast. At night i kind of know how this goes the torch at the end. We're good the opening ceremonies. The opening ceremonies boring right. I like it. It's like going on wikipedia and just scrolling through all the countries learn a lot. You can do all the cool outfits to learn from the opening ceremonies this year. If you don't mind me asking my retentions not great. But at the time definitely stuff. It's weird watching like that. And the games without fans right. So we're fair. Nbc said they're not pumping in crowd noise but some of the events. There are sounds and i guess. It's like the teammates that are allowed to be there like all and everything. Yeah so there is some noise. it's not completely silent but it is. It is a little sad. Because i i was watching beach volleyball the other day and they're just playing an entirely empty stadium just empty seats all behind them. And there's no one there the one thing. I marvel watching gymnastics last night when they do the floor routines the way that they're able to get their back of their he'll against like perfectly at the corner you know when they do because they end up in a corner and they have the footwork down so pat where they never his. It's a deduction if they like if they're he'll touches the alabama it's just so impressive that part of it. It's the ray. Allen shot but in gymnastics right right just backpedaling. To precise point that you know where it is. And if you're not looking at us impressive. How do we feel about the sign. Age still saying tokyo twenty twenty and it's still being considered the twin twenty games. I like it just a nice round number. Yeah yeah they have a good logo to can't let that go to waste right. That's 'cause euro twenty twenty. The european soccer tournament was also euro twenty twenty. And everything said. You're twenty twenty. I just think it's like we created all these logos we create all these wraps recruited all the all the scientists. And we're just going to put a one over it like i. I just think you keep such. And i think if anything. It's a marker of the historic nature of the event. Which is it's the only thing that causes the olympics to be delayed and so two thousand twenty. And that's just kind of like our memorial of that. I think you can do a lot with two zeros. It's harder to do some stuff with zero and a one design wise to zero symmetry. It looks nice on the subject of fans by the way. I actually think that the last sixteen months so in in various countries including england there are like fan unions. Almost that like have a legitimate voice at the table. I feel like the last sixteen months of of been the year of the year plus of the fan. Because i think we see a lot of sporting events go down and ratings go down and interest when there are no fans and like the nba for instance in the finals. Their numbers went up. after fans. Returned to the bubble in theory was great basketball but nobody cared because there is no atmosphere. And i've seen that the olympics are almost. There's like half the interest that there was in the rio olympics on television. And i think that's largely fan driven. I feel like fans have always been kind of you know placate all you know. It's all about the fans and fans but like there should be a legitimate kind of you know we madder here. And when we go to sporting events and when they're filled with arenas and stadiums they are more compelling than when they aren't know if i agree with that take woody. Why fans are view. Yeah because i don't go to that many sporting events so i don't consider myself part of like the people watching other than college football. I like to me you just you just noted that the beach volleyball feels useless. without fans. there feels useless. I feel sad rebel. I'm still gonna watch it like to me. i'll still watch it. I understand that other people think that it's i don't know dampened a little bit because there's no fans i get that other perspective but personally i will still watch it. I don't care if there's fans are not you totally entirely too much like come on. Let's get the gun. Be nice suture over here kris and jessica come on i. I appreciate trying to broker a peace. I think we're just trying to have a sports debate. So then what else would you attribute the decline in interest in the olympics. I don't know. I just feel like there's a lot going on in the world right now. Can't keep track of it myself. Like someone will write a dissertation on us in ten years and i'll read it and whatever with whatever their conclusion is okay so our plan for today's mystery crate was to present sports that we either are interested in or wonder what the origins of. How did they arrive at the olympics or origin. There's some like dancing. The origins of break dancing olympic event. Although i actually. I've actually traced back to the origins of swimming like back to bc era..

"I can take my shots. Got one two three four five six seven eight nine. This is my tenth by passing one that a four of these episodes was are five. Well lot of them have made me in. Themselves are the ones that i can fire to british route given i might actually thinly counted my full point. Seven five though Maybe because that one is very klug. Snow did not count that. I've been at ten a. Given ten five base girls are all seven. my head's kind of be well. Okay then if all my skills rather seven than episode thirty four deserves a seven out of i five. No it really doesn't five hundred seventeen perfect school. I think it was thirty. Four was the episode where we said that if we change the writing this one galilee moves. I think that's the most is at the top of our ranking unknow. Soaring hype is the top ranking thirty episode. Thirty two we all gave. Five-star is possible. That the so three. I was really. Could i think about two fives and that was one of them Even one five i. You gave a two episode nine yet. That is a good episode. Be fair that was a good episode. I don't has f quinn's given one five. I think since about right given to yet to five which was episode. I think it's the same may thirty two and thirty four. That's berber which are like. I think those can be seven out of five for me because when you put up. It's i would actually good anyway onto questions. But the recent discussion that we had on israeli sticking refreshing partly changed his mind. Which is that that is not so. I'm glad that we could sort of convince someone who didn't like the concept of the evolutions being different secondly. He says that he interpreted the last episode of how people wants corporations to be as an ideal but having made me. Just overly i. i'd idealising grandfather's work is charming s. to character. And i think that's what i think. That's what i liked about could. Just be miami. Just parroting the voice of her grandfather. Because that's what kids i know. I just don't really like that. And it's like she has different writing staff all together and yes she probably hired them liked to be honest like maybe so good. She hide her own stuff from a different universe. "But i'd like to know what we earlier than thirty eight episodes into the series and it noted yet like he doesn't grow in this episode his only priority at the and at the end is is saving gabu mon- such of he's just cool with that. Yeah there was no change in. Atta is just being a change in the writing actually talking basically but i know i still enjoyed it and Queen what was your rating four decent solid episodes so that means overall we gave it a twelve point five which i think is actually somehow a unique writing. We haven't ever give like overall given something twelve point five which means that that puts it just above episode one and episode nine episode one being obviously episode one on this also upset sixteen and seventeen. We also gave twelve to so where those episode one seventeen seventeen. The battle in tokyo against roy shimon episode was episode one. The other one episode sixteen was the jet. Black shadow invades tokyo. Which was the one that he did not like but we quinton. I liked because it had the chicken avocado vega which we just really emotionally attached to for some reason. Last time we got character development. Out of mimi for twenty episodes which is said. That is very sad. So would we site that that is better than the have ocado episode. I watch quinn. I disagree with case so just avocado solicit her. It was over the whereas something. Jack jack makoto. I know that. Because i just saw the full episode. Nine teen queen gave her favorite character. Being the bugah. Jack sign because that was an abstract concept not the anything the episode but anyway so that means that episode. Thirty eight is in seventh place in our overall ranking which seems fine just below episode six of which is the targeted kingdom which is just like maize introduction. Of course that that's a good episodes. Got mamie in it and yes so in my ranking. I put it in the place. I really like this episode and actually i think i might quick adjusted that i think lima blossom Still better than this episode. So i'm going to quickly click. Clack clack the cable. I move episode twelve above him so thirty eight. Because i don't know. I really liked the idea that she just kind of told andrew She wasn't forgiving andrew. Every episode it was recalled allegory to cheer on anyway Eighty where we putting this in your ranking. I am gonna put. It ain't fifteenth place which is right above that joe kito an episode to walking because this is basically just to see colts. Both of those episodes these characters. Yeah and Queen where we putting episode thirty eight. I some going right below one Between one and thirty three okay. Okay i will slop that. So that is in eleventh place. So overall eighty this episode is in the top half or maybe even top third of the series about this. You could just get good. I still want it to be better than this. I don't want. I don't want it to disorder paid route from here. I don't want us to sleep well over five things that are not. I don't get started living. I don't i still don't have hoped for this show so whenever episode is good i give it a five on the basis that i never expect to give another five in my life. And that's probably given seventy five lately. How many you double.

twelve twenty episodes eighty Eighty seventh place tokyo thirty eight gabu mon thirty three fifteenth place twelve point thirty eight episodes andrew Jack jack makoto sixteen Atta Both seventy five four eleventh place

"Yeah everybody eh personality but with sort of same similar this season way yamato won't necessarily do the hero thing if it's not immediately relevant to him like remember the stop we had name on and they wanted to get to the liam on army and amato would just like at next legislative slow us down and i can imagine the same sort of thing happening in this episode. Yes so it was kind of we. We know that like this isn't immediately may not be immediately relevant to you. Mottos purpose at the moment. Which is i guess to reunite with the rest of the grow ball to defame. Anyone get back home. Find his brother. That's that's sort of thing but government wanted to do here. I think and yet. I kind of did the hero thing because government wanted to and again that you're on that that s also sort of long acting independently of the author and the human partner continuing to have a character that we already saw previously which happened in episode eleven. So it's nice to also say that. Hey remember this thing that you motto. He's not really like a hero like he doesn't wanna just do and he saved people It if it doesn't concern him he won't necessarily go it just so turned out. The black crystal is likely to do amount so monceau was connected but he didn't know that at the time is relevant to him on accurate. Yeah which is that makes him a character that you know. A lot of people aren't really wants to live their lives. they won't do anything evil but though just kind of live their lives doing their own sort of things. That don't don't probably still be a good person. But they won't go out and fight evil like this is kind of like any other men go neutral howard fruit french you get it with a full neutrality. I made a joke. It did not lands okay. You make jokes does either feature. Well said mango and i was just like. That's a fruit. And that that it's it's like when i was looking breaks the other day and i just saw a plant based potato cake and i'm just like i'm i know that they mean the oil but still plot face potato cake. What do you think uptight potatoes made out of anyway. do we have any other highlights. Big chunk the big chunk..

It was just a lot of and mamie Never pay the employees though. She sure didn't and she wanted to forefront he's gonna be boss yup now anyway. She wasn't on. The road may be by the end. she's them anyway to Come on just conditio- yeah and you're not servants today. Because that's kinda tactless given the social climate of this episode. So you're now. But i won't pay you. Oh god she herds. Yeah yeah you guys getting paid anyway so back to this episode we have ogm on just coming in and just breaking the tense situation with just gripes on his head and to says let's say and it just asia's funny it's just pretty was having it will having like this tense moment and will finally getting some personality from. Tk in his relationship with his family and his parents situation we actually get to find out that they have parents because i think many of them have mentioned having parents. That's something that is just not mentioned really many for children yes basically. We're covering things that came up in episode three of the official same his and i'm working max. Two things. We brought up in episode one of this series. So long glimpses andy character best like i said tevi monarch just should been a time. Skip nothing important. Yeah but i don't know it's statistics really funny. How just comes in like. Hey i know ya'll having some character moments. But i have great some my head. Let's aid is just so funny and we have. We have todd thanking him and then touchy starts thinking about your model and tucker and then that transition just what. Your mama's doing which is being knocked off a cliff face who and while he's falling to his death with finally get to see how you motto arrived in the net. The style the show which is honestly i was surprised about i. Kind of didn't think would ever get is how these character into series. I don't think we'll get it again. I would be lying. We surprised if we gotta help me. Mid pal mon- moment. I want that. I may be. That's just reserved for them. Like getting the ultimate foams. We get like something but honestly. I'd be surprised to be anything but i'm just surprised at this point to even get to see yamato getting there in meeting. Actually soon i'm on. It is not to say that we actually still have the training level digital. And he's just it's just a nice sane in general like we have you macho just immediately. Shut off the bat telling soon want to find someone else. Because he's not interested need don't have the time and it's just an enemy have sued them on just following him any kind of adorable. And then we get to see how al gamaa attack yamato and cinnamon jumped in front the attack to protect them..

"Captain right so yeah so so these two components are saying here so so actually we can throw up on the screen. Listen to the redwings captains here all right. This is the this is. This is the beginning when they started with the red wings. That when you go back to the coors and falcons there's a couple of guys are not in important the storytelling so beginning nineteen thirty. Two thirty three we have larry ori- that's that's the first captain. Herbie lewis and thirty three thirty four. Those are the two guys we mentioned. Here's the three musketeers. Yeah right and then notice and thirty four thirty five we have a goodfellow on right this as the announcement. Okay but but this this was needed. Notice nineteen thirty five thirty six. We have doug young okay in so so pay attention. When i just south i quote huddle be will be the captain as long as i am. The manager every will be the captain as long as i am the manager. He said that in thirty four jack adams did and then the next year doug young's so so what. So what would make jack adams back on quoted newspaper source on june so ab goodfellow is one of if not the best place in the red wings all right he is a team captain and he is one of the three musketeers. One of three that article that with the three musketeers came on thirty six so that was after all this entire season. And so what would make jack adams go back on this determination that red wing that in so in the end you'll also notice what's also import notice as you look at look at doug young as captain and this. We have a list of all the years over the captain's doug young's captain for three years in a row. Yeah and then. You'll notice in the thirty eight. Thirty nine b goodfellow picks right back up as the captain for four more years. And what in in forty two years being captain with sid. How so he's so you see that. So there's this not only it's not so the first inclination is the thank you know face value wants to think thirty four thirty five..

Herbie lewis two guys forty two years three years One next year thirty eight first jack adams four more years two components thirty four redwings wings Two one first inclination three musketeers larry ori june
