"To find a price that works for you Monday Night Football week three features the red skins and the bears Adrian Peterson he was basically a healthy scratch in week one week two against Dallas he scored a touchdown and now in week three what can we expect well he caught up with our Jim gray earlier all right thanks amber Adrienne the Redskins are into is there such a thing as a must win in week three of an NFL season no not at all but I do believe there each game remote corner unlike the first two but there's a long season and long hair and we're going to the game as as if it is a a must win finance the opponent so this one out you know a couple of more so made a big deal for us to go out there are minor and and and sure you have over thirteen thousand yards and rushing that's the eighth most in the history of the National Football League you're in your thirteen season. as you move forward in your career how do you want to be recognized and and and what is it you want to be known for. the guy that gives the teens layer thing on the line you know I'm very passionate about the game. you know small low for it is it is strong every time I step out there on the field and and played but you know I just want to be remembered as the best up to it you know we in hearing on thirty four and in our plan on you know competition bring accomplished when I first NFL but this most employees the monster that it takes to continue to believe in yourself. you know the father so you know again for everyone else you know think about you N. and how do you handle the mental aspect of it you were benched in the first week a healthy scratch is that something you use as motivation to get over it and always there is always there you know to be honest with you and always try to put things in perspective on that chart two in all for me it was like Hey. I'm blessed then on thirteen years to be in you know thirteen was my first and see that and guess what those guys that are fresh out of college there are better home you know the hair trials which she paired up with some debate between but the home now you know I I'm I'm I'm getting paid to soon stop on you know it's not where I want it well for me say I'm always able to put things in perspective your time is always coming on this program may during our no problem always enjoyed speaking with you man thank you amber back to you I thank.

"Picked the MVP the stipulation was you couldn't go Chok Seth, obviously. So it's always the quarterback. I think they'll probably would have the best chance of winning that prop bet with that pick. Because you went with Gilmore, I did that's a little off the board. Yeah. Good value there. That's good. He's gotta he's gotta need a pick six. He. Absolutely. And it needs to be a low scoring game a quarterback really or Brady specifically doesn't light it up at the way. I picked Eshelman. So I need see. That's doable. To Brady doesn't have a great game. Eshelman has an amazing gains number one. I turned the punt. There you go. One of the branch games. Twelve catches. You know, a buck thirty bucks thirty bucks fifty two touchdowns. And they'll Brady only throws for like two and a quarter. I said earlier this week if that happens if Julian Edelman does what you just described right? I think that talk about hall of fame has reignited because it's going to add one already very impressive postseason record for what's going to hurt Julian is got to be the regular season tested. Yeah. I think he's you know, he's only at about five thousand receiving yards in his career. And. That's going to be the biggest thing where you know. A lot of downs. Aren't there? A lot of those hall of famous, you know, they're in you know, ten twelve thousand yards receiving throughout their careers. So that's gonna be I think his biggest thing because he's mainly worked at slot. You know, and he doesn't necessarily have he might have a seven eight catch game for eighty yards where they're all big third down conversions of that kind of thing. He doesn't have the one hundred seventy five yard game. Like that outside guy would have because he had a sixty yard go round. And I'm not gonna go back through all of it again. But there are guys in the hall of fame. Now who are really only in there for postseason. Joe Naboth is exhibit a. Right. But he's a quarterback. Right. I made a little bit high quarterback. You know, that value tend to make an argument. Terry Bradshaw is is in there for postseason right back. I guess the the, but he had more accolades in the regular season. Now, it's really it's all playoff off. The numbers are great. But it's all playoffs. Like, he's not even a pro bowler where at least Nemeth and Br. Pro bowl. And the problem becomes when you're dealing. I think about is there really even a slot receiver in the hall of fame. And if there is who is that guy. I mean, I can't think of one off the top of my head, but you have to think like a swat receiver guy, that's kind of Steve large. But Steve lodging have like twelve thousand yards wasn't he kind of a slot receiver. I I don't know Steve logic. Catch a lot of balls outside. Those on the highlights. I remember on the outside. And that to me that's the biggest thing. But when you look at the numbers right hall of fame when you talk about hall of fame now guys are going to get in because of numbers that probably don't deserve to be in. There is Eli manning a hall of fame. No, he should not be. But he will be in for two games games. Plus he has a ton of pass because he's played as they are so long, right? Philip rivers will probably get in all Famer, you know, so so that that becomes a statistically, man. He just doesn't have this statistically the regular season off the postseason. I make a case he's had two thousand yard seasons in one one hundred catch isn't he like like five thousand jobs for otas career five chains. He has a lot of catches though. What's the like five six hundred catches for ninety nine ninety nine o'clock on the day? And look at Steve lodging stumps. You you you when you think like you think I was just trying to think I know that beat center the thing thirteen thousand yards and he had one hundred touchdowns. Yeah. That's why receivers. Then you Steve. Capac? Although the the one guy who set the Julian Edelman should be considered for the hall of fame. Jerry Rice, I had to give that guy some cream. Let's keep no a little bit of you ever heard him as an analyst is terrible. Is an analyst. A position I the position. But what is he going to say? I mean, I think it's just an easier thing to say that just Rippin players. Why not because he's seeing is the closest guy to him for postseason thing. So I think that's a nice thing to say. But you see. You make you make a good point because it becomes what? Like, what is the criteria? I feel like the hall of famous watered down now. Yeah. That's fair. All right. So now, we're going to water it down. Then maybe we can I don't want to water down. I don't like the I understand why you do comparisons. But if they made a mistake before that doesn't mean we'll let him in the basketball fix the worst one. Like, this guy's this guy's better than him. Like well. Yeah. But that guy shouldn't be in there. Anyway. Giving somebody a bad contract and the NFL. Well, he makes this much like well. Yeah. But they were dumb. They were told to pay puts now you have to if you're gonna like water it down in a sense does a guy now because of his postseason success in what has numbers you've been able to do that should factor into it. You know, weekdays does factor. We keep out a lot of quarterbacks or whatever because they haven't won the Super Bowl when we talked about our fate talk. What else you got coming up next sports radio w e? Coming up later today. Forty eight broadcasts from radio row in Atlanta. Get you geared up for Super Bowl fifty three patriots. He went on a thirteen year NFL run with the Rams and the Steelers participated in Super Bowl forty for Pittsburgh where he had a great view of Willie Parker running for a long touchdown. His self proclaimed greatest athletic achievement is bowling three hundred his lowest athletic achievement was losing to me in a foot race before Super Bowl forty-three. Please welcome. Good boss. Jerome mattis. Believable. And should be Crafter slow. You should be guys do of it going to take you a little while to get up here. You're so I can't believe this guy's didn't you like that introduction? You know, what you are a pessimist of everything he says negative everything. Everything you say is negative. I mean, my whole of Famer like last a lasting you want a Super Bowl yet. A great view of the other running back. The fact side of the other part of it that you in. I was in the green room, and I'm listening to this about this race. And you lucky I can't curse because I would I would curse him out because that would make you Jerusalem Kersee did with that. Here's the problem. He is he is embellished a lot more. Now. I mean, this is just this thing that first of all he talked about excuses. I had on dress shoes you on gym shoes. Okay. That was one. He says then he wanted to seventy I head start, right? He's he's keys talking about. And he said he'd beat me about ten. How would he know if he's running? All right. He's running looking back. It'd be too much. So really? Out of this up. Let me help you out here you felt comfortable you should've needed to have start. But you you you fought me for the head start. When I did have you ever seen like when you saying bolt runs, and he looks at the Jumbotron, I was running looking at the Jumbotron. Him. I'm ten yards ahead of him. If he sought me on the Jumbotron there will be footage of this race. Okay. Do you believe that's not really the Tony done? She tells the truth. Do you believe that Tony Dungy? Here's what I'll say about. Tony dungy? In all of his coaching. He has lied before. He has I I mean. mean, like his players or somebody said something that would maybe it's been troll. Wow. I I don't think he's not. I mean, he's a truthful person he's probably given a little bit of a fear in there somewhere. Bob, Costas, the esteemed journalist would lie about the results of that race. I do not have Bob Kasich on the record saying that you expand it you're you're seven yard hit star. He's not on the record saying that we Mother Theresa was also there that day. Now, are you going to call Mother Theresa alive if you look at her life and for totality? Okay. All right. All right. Let me do re-introduction their former Steeler running back the great the guy who came up with throwing somebody under the bus. Thank you. I did not know that you came up with that saying. Wait, you didn't know? Oh, you didn't see trying to meet positive are you? Okay. I'm great now. Okay. That you've been exposed. He rushed for thirteen thousand yards ninety four touchdowns and he wanted Super Bowl. Yeah. He's your own badass..

"Career rushing yards. The ninth player ever to do that in the National Football League. We waited over quarter for him to get one yard to get over to thirteen thousand a month. But he got there. Now, it's still second at eight. So maybe not Washington was hoping for on that play. He's also the fourth player in NFL history. To also have a hundred rushing touchdowns to go along with those thirteen thousand yards Emmett Smith, Walter Payton, ladainian, Tomlinson, the other three pretty good company for eight P. Second Nate, Trey Quinn goes in motion. But this is culpa Koi. Dropping to throw over the middle. Caught. I down Jordan Reed his third catch today. And he's finally pushed out on the far Dallas Cowboys sideline around the twenty nine. A lot of people. Don't mention Jake Reed. As one of the best tight end in the league. But he is he's one of the best receiving tight ends in the National Football League runs Rouch like a receiver, and he can get open even all the DB's Neva Cornerbacks in this league. Three catches forty nine yards for read. I mentioned that he leads the Redskins in both catches and receiving yards. This season. So a fresh shutdowns for Washington from their own twenty nine of the left tash under center. It's a hand off from McCoy to Adrian Peterson and one yard that time to the thirty off the left side before he's tackled by Antoine woods, and Layton Vander Esch Vander has been one of those guys have been very surprising for the football team. Young backer rookie. Boise state. He's been a playmaker David leaves her. He's coming. He's taken off just like the David Lee. But he leads the Cowboys and tackles with eighty five, and you mentioned these young you're right each twenty one years old late and Vander esta linebacker so second down and nine thirteen minutes left. Second quarter Washington with the ball down seven nothing out of the gun. This time McCoy drop swings. It out to the right? It's caught by Capri bibs out of the backfield. And then he's up ended just shy of the forty yard line by Jeff key. Close to the line to game. Boy, they spotted right near that. First down there to say third short. And I love off. It's run. We call the star motion on defense old soon as going pay snap the ball. The deepens ruled have to be a place. There's not in place. Somebody's gonna be wide. Open the easy catch an eight game forbid so third down and Jews for Washington. And once again, the decibel level rises at AT and T stadium. Going to go. I four Mason here with Peterson back. He gets the Kerry he was white over the line and picked up the first down out to the forty two. So they brought in some of the power and a lead blocker and it worked out well for Washington. Tune in to watch all the excitement of the NFL Sunday on FOX, check your local listings for games and times in your area. Catch the NFL on FOX. Inside a twelve minutes remaining second quarter, Washington down seven nothing Colt McCoy under center making the Skype for the injured Alex Smith McCoy turns and gives the Peterson Peterson bounces it out to the right side across the forty five. And he steps out around the fifty. He got hit right around the line of scrimmage, rob. But the veteran knew what to do he pushed it out to the right side picked up nine yards. He's still he's still runs the football. Like he's in his mid twenties. He's has great vision. We know that you're not going to bring him down with who tried to grab a jersey. He's gonna knock your hand off and gain his yard. Just like he did that for quote says he feels rejuvenated this year thirty three years old last year with the saints and cardinals. And now here in Washington. But Capri bibs replaces him as the tailback McCoy under center two receivers left. And we're gonna have flags before this place starts it's going to be a false start. Full start offense number eighty five yard penalty. That's how the thirteen year tight end Vernon Davis. Those type of places unacceptable, especially. Versus a proven vet in Vernon Davis. You have to understand this map count. You know, the building is allow you gotta make sure you are on target throughout these drives. And that's one that will drive Jay Gruden crazy. Because instead a second one now, it's seconded six. Washington's first penalty Dallas also had a false start penalty. Earlier the game. Mccoy out of the gun. Capri bibs to his left. Trey Quinn went in motion. And now we are going to get a stoppage before the next snap. As a timeout is called. Timeout taken by Washington, and we step aside. When I talk with Adrian Peterson this week. I talked about the fact that it's not just about the Xs and os on the field. What about a little bit more emotionally when you lose a teammate? So anytime would lose a player, especially you know, being a starting quarterback hurts tremendously. This is Dallas. This is rivalry this is spotlight of a thanksgiving game. But most importantly, this is a game in terms of trying to win the division that you've got to win you've seen them. Once you've beaten them once this year. What do you see from Cowboys on film? I'm defensively a group that's playing together. Well, they're on a two game winning streak right now. The second place in the NFC east. You know? So we know how these guys are gonna come out. You know? Yeah, we beat those guys. I go around to come out and really execute. And take advantage of a lot of opportunities that we had in the first match up against those guys, you know. So ostensibly, you know, we just have to execute play smart, physical football, and we'll leave with a W for sure I know your coach came out and said earlier this season, you know, we're not going to practice Adrian on Wednesdays anymore. It doesn't apply this week. But we're not going to practice Adrian on Wednesdays anymore. He's practiced enough Wednesdays. He could be sitting in a hot tub recall tub or taking a nap for all I care and your reaction was. Yeah, I'd rather be out on the practice field. But little changes like that any other changes, potentially in your workout routine or those types of things that keep you moving ahead. And and keep you healthy all the way into week twelve. You know, little changes like that during the season. And of course, we're not I was dealing with you know, some nagging injuries. Then that's something that definitely applies. But in all season, you know, I haven't changed anything up. It's been the same regimen. Since I came into the league in knowing this is grinding my body out and getting it prepared for the long season. We're talking with Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson. I know how competitive you are from just talking to you in the past and reading about you. I also know that you appreciate the history of the game. How special is that to be taking your place each and every time you go out there among the greatest ever played. Oh, man. It's it's so humbling, you know, and for me, you know, it's so satisfying. Because I miss like two years. You know, when when you this character games that I haven't played, you know, so just a struggle, you know, to charter solidify myself again after two years of having injuries and kinda getting written off by a lot of people to be sitting here now and to be accomplishing great things man fulfilling still inside. So I'm just enjoying it. You know, that's all I can do just continue to show people that you know, you don't allow people to box you in. You don't let you don't allow people to write your story for you. You know, you you write your own story historic right now is that he is on the doorstep of his thirteen thousand yard in the National Football League. And as we said took on the Dallas Cowboys earlier. This year and that twenty to seventeen win Adrian Peterson was a workhorse back twenty four carries for ninety nine yards in that game. He followed that up with a win at the New York Giants, which you went for one hundred forty nine yards. He is in a lot of ways the energizer bunny at age thirty three and continuing along try and keep Washington afloat right now with the loss of their quarterback as they get ready for a huge divisional game. He in a lotta ways the energizer bunny at age thirty three and continuing along trying to keep Washington afloat right now with the loss of their quarterback as they get ready for a huge divisional game. Just a couple moments against the Dallas Cowboys still ahead. We'll take a look back at what happened in game. One of our thanksgiving tripleheader. You're listening to the NFL on Westwood One..

"Officially here. Now. Who doesn't love talked about the opener. It is the bears at the lions looking closer at the other games. I like these games. I really do a big NFC. East matchup always loved the Redskins the Cowboys. This one's interesting to me. You know, the Cowboys are playing good football. They've won their last two over the eagles. And the falcons both by the way on the road. This time they are home for the Redskins Redskins. No, Alex Smith after that gruesome leg injury. You know, what's interesting to me. The fact of why everybody's like, oh, yeah. We'll McCoy man. He's gonna open up the offense. Why do people suddenly have all this faith and Cole McCoy where's this coming from? I'm so stunned that people are are making as if the Redskins will not have any sort of a drop off going from Alex Smith to Colt McCoy. I mean Cole McCoy has been in the NFL nine years. He has thrown. Twelve passes this year. Okay. Since two thousand and eleven Cole McCoy has thrown about one hundred fifty total passes. Why is there all this love suddenly for Colt McCoy as if he's going to be the big difference maker and the Redskins are going to be fine because they have Colt McCoy at the helm a guy nine years. He's throwing twenty seven touchdowns in twenty three interceptions and complete sixty percent of his passes. Sean have you? I mean, I'm sure you've heard this as well. Why does there seem to be so much love for Cole McCoy as if they're not gonna miss Alex Smith, well because he's from Texas, right? He played at the university of Texas. He's one in Texas as a quarterback before his visitor. Right. And he kind of has a similar skill set to Alex Smith, wouldn't you agree? Yeah. But Smith just better. Oh, yeah. Smith is better. They rely on their defense. They have a great run defense. The Redskins do. So I could see how they play the conservative game and AP's from Texas now run the Rockwood Palestine, Texas. That's right. Although Dallas is a good defense. So that's the interesting now history is going to be made in this game. You know that right? Adrian Peterson with one yard. We'll have his thirteen thousand threshing yard. And that means what nothing. He's already in the hall of fame. But right. But if you have like, oh, Santini hate like numbers. I hate when people end their career three hundred ninety nine home runs, you know, things like that. For Adrian Peterson one more yard. He's in the thirteen thousand yard club. He's up. I mean, he's had luck. I'll tell you. What? I don't know. What's happened? But he's had a tremendous season Adrian Peterson's on base for well over a thousand yards. Yep. Like eleven hundred and fifty yards this year. Yeah. No. He's got a bounce back year. Yeah. Definitely unbelievable. And how much better on the saints? Once they got rid of last year. Well, you know what though? But I guess they didn't know what Alvin Kamara was all about then once shopping probably did use Adrian Peterson. They didn't right when they brought him in. And then you know, they draft Kamara in the third round. It's like all right. What are your expectations for a third rounder? Right. But to your point about Colt McCoy, you're right. I mean, he's nothing more than a backup. But maybe for a game or two like Ryan Fitzpatrick, you know, he could whether the storm. I don't know about six games though. And I don't know if Mark Sanchez is the answer. Here's I think about this. If the Cowboys win this game, right? If the Cowboys win this game. They will be tied with the Redskins atop the NFC east. Amazing, right. As bad as season as a Cowboys have hand, they fired their offensive line. Coach. Jason Garrett spin on more than a hotseat. Some people have already written his obituary there if Jason Garrett wins at division at like eight and eight or nine and seven sorry. Cowboys fans, I don't think he's gone. Now. So if you're a cowboy fan you like do we wanna go in the playoffs to lose in the first round or do we want to go in the playoffs? And or do we want to miss the playoffs? At least get a new coach. What a dilemma. Yeah. That is the one. So that's where they stand it. It's it's incredible. Honestly, I think the Cowboys win this game. They're home. I know the Redskins play while on the road. But the Cowboys are home they know that with a win. They tied the Redskins top the NFC east. They're facing Colt McCoy not Alex Smith. I stunning by the way, the Cowboys are a touchdown favor that might be a little heavy, but I like the Cowboys in this game show. I don't see them losing at home to the Redskins now with all the marbles riding on it. I like the Redskins. You do with the spreader just flat out winning just flat out winning. No now with the spread. Here's here's the reason. The Redskins have a legit run defense. What have the Cowboys been doing to get back into this race running is equal Elliott by right and Dacca? He's great off the play action. You know that he's a better quarterback when he has a strong run game. Shut down the run game reliant Dak and that wide receiver core. Even with the Maury Cooper advantage Redskins. So and I think will can do enough. So I like the Redskins and close one. Yeah. Okay. We'll see what happens about screwing up somehow. But he will. I agree. A hundred percent of us notorious for that. No question about it. Here's the other one falcons at the saints. And by the way, guess who's going to be doing that game? Our good friend Rodney Harrison in the booth with Tony Dungy, Mike to Rico. I will be actually doing that game in New Orleans. Saints are twelve and. Halfway favorite over the falcons. You know, what I would take the saints. I mean, the falcons our garbage injuries have really heard him that just not that good. I would take the falcons even with a ridiculous, Bradley, twelve and a half. I just think overall they're going to win that game. But wow, I mean, I'll tell you what the saints going to be ten in one with a win here. That that's the best. That's the best team in the NFL right now. I really believe that I think they're the best team in the NFL me too. And we're going to see it again here for the falcons they lose this game to go two four and seven their chances. The playoffs will be practically next to none. Amazing really is if you think about what's happened to that organization. And again, a lot of it has to do with the fact that they've suffered so many devastating injuries on defense. But overall, I'll tell you it's it's the saints to me are just gonna roll absolutely role. When it comes to this matchup against the falcons. I want to get to the apple Cup real quick Washington state against Washington. Great rivalry game. And what's interesting is Washington was supposed to be the team this year. Sean that was going to be the difference maker in college football, right? They were the team that was considered the, you know, the the the Pac twelve best yet. Here's Washington state ten and one seven and one in the conference they've won seven straight the only losses that loss which now really looks like a bad loss on the road at USC. But Mike Leach hasn't had that blow up game unless you wanna call USC that blow up game. But. You know? I at the beginning of the year. I wouldn't have taken Washington state beat Washington. This one though is at Washington state. I think Washington state pulls it off. I think they add to the misery for Washington this year. What's been a down year? And I just think that this is a game that. You know, when you break it all down in palm in it's going to be Washington state advancing to be eleven and one on their way to potentially winning. They'll clinch the Pac twelve north with this win. And I don't see him losing. Wow. You see him losing your guy. Yes. I do you think they're gonna lose? Yeah. I do. Here's the difference. This year, Jake Browning has not been good, right? You know, look, I never thought he was good. Anyway, I think Jake Browning good, Dan. I nobody's the clinic central two years ago. Yeah. Yeah. But he's he's still ninety four career touchdowns. He's had a tremendous career last year. But here's the thing. He goes from forty three touchdowns and nine interceptions last year to sixteen touchdowns ten interceptions. This is not very good. And by the way, what's interesting is. If you look at all four of his years sixteen touchdowns. No, excuse me. No, no. He last two years. He hasn't been that good. As two thousand sixteen was great. But last year, he wasn't good. He threw for nineteen touchdowns five interceptions this year sixteen and eight and as softwares forty-three and nine you know, he has not lived up saucy sophomore. Yeah. Right. Right. He had the speedster. John. Ross was a high first round pick Gardner Minhsiu on the other hand has been. Got a transfer from East Carolina where he transferred to another school garner men's shoe could have another big game here. And he's getting that invite to New York to sit and watch to win the Heisman Trophy, but he's at thirty six touchdowns seven interceptions over forty three yards and he's completed seventy and a half percent of his passes. I'll tell you what no way that Mike Leach. And let's not forget, you know, Washington state's starting quarterback that people thought would be the starter this year killed himself in the off season. We forget Reinhold linski. And he was supposed to be the guy who wasn't he played in the ball game last year. And he was supposed to take over this year at the start as the starter, and obviously tragedy struck so Gardner Minhsiu graduates senior goes there, no way Mike Leach could have ever expected this type of season from a guy who had thrown for sixteen touchdowns last year, which has been his career high have the season. He's had a tremendous season. I just think the magic roles for Washington state. They'll knock off Washington in the apple Cup. Right. "Ten AM Mountlake it takes on number one spring grove and we're pleased to be joined by spring grove head coach Zach house right now a coach congrats on an outstanding season. Hey, thanks, Steve. Quite a year and quite Iran through their season. And and we've really got to start with your quarterback Alex full what a performance in the semifinals. I mean, this kid is having a year for the ages. Yeah. He's a special player and he played really. Well, I last the last few years, you know, leading us to our first championship last year. And then you don't undefeated season this year on his career combined rushing and passing. I think he he went over like thirteen thousand yards last game. So he's been doing it for a few years has a lot of experience and he's pretty comfortable back there for us. Yeah. What a joy to have a kid like this in your team. That can really do it. All. Yeah. It's it's a luxury to have just, you know, knowing that experience, and you know, just seeing the defense as you've seen over the past few years and just making decisions out there on the field. And you know that having having a group of guys that's worked really hard right alongside him up. You know, it's it's fun to coach. Yeah. And you look at at what he did against a good Cromwell right team. Forty-eight twelve the final falls accounted for seven touchdowns three rushing and four through the air. But but that's been commonplace throughout his career in in through the senior season. Yeah. He's he he can really hurt you both ways with his with his arm and with his legs. And and you know, Cromwell they got here because they they can really run the ball. Well, and they had a really good run stopping defense their first team to hold Alex falls under a hundred yards rushing on the season. But so we know we are going to have to put the ball in the air early and often, and he really hit us receivers, you know, early in the game and gave us a twenty eight nothing late at the end of the first quarter next. It's Mountlake Carey in the opener a prop on Friday morning at ten AM and your team tries to go back to back. His this group felt any pressure to try and repeat or they've just kinda gone about their business. They worked really hard in the off season. And you know, we had we had three returning starters back for us. Some in those three guys were a big part of what we did last year. So kind of a new group of guys that you know, they made the goal that they were they wanted to win a state championship year this year, and you know, they've done everything possible up to this point. So we're really proud of the new guys, and you know, they've really stepped up, and you know, we have a shot to do it with one game to go against a really good. And what about your corner of the state the southeast corner down there, not only spring grove trying to win but perennial power Caledonia into a it's just extraordinary. It's pretty neat. You know, being less than ten miles away from Caledonia, and you know, what they're going for their fourth straight state championship. And I believe the longest win streak in the nation. Now, whoever was number one loss last night. I believe so what they have gone over. There is pretty crazy. And you know, we have a nice little win streak of ourselves going on right now. And there's a lot of ties between these two programs. Yeah. Actually, I'm a teacher in Caledonia. And then I and I coach I coach in spring girl. Fly I played for coach Karl Frikkie when he had just started in Caledonian, you know, great guy, great mentor. So it's it's pretty fun watching what those guys are doing. And you know, we've had success on our own too. I suppose it's one of those deals where hopefully your team takes care of business next Friday morning, and you'll probably hang around and watch Caledonia. Yeah. That's kind of been a really neat thing to the last couple of years in the last multiple years we've played in Rochester section championship game. And the game is always before the to a game. So, you know, Caledonia players are kinda they're watching along with the coaches watching our game. And we'll stick around and watch there's and then the last two years at at US Bank stadium with we played right before them two times last year, and then Thursday morning this year, and it'll be the same this coming Friday where we're back to back. So you know, there's even there's fan buses that are that are coming up for both games. And there's some that just stay for one game. But it's kind of kind of a neat experienced. I have you know, two communities pulling for each other. Well, coach thanks for the time today. Good luck at prep bowl. I know it's a big thrill for the kids, and the coaches and the entire community, and it should be fun. Thanks should accept me on all right? Kausar spring grove and a real treat to watch other quarterback, Alex foles, he can really do it all spring grove and mount link the funds started on Friday morning at ten AM. We'll be on the air that night with the six eight title game. It'll be lakeville north number one. And they became number one after they beat Eden prairie in week number two. In eden. Prairie, of course of the gold standard and six eight football should be a dandy. We'll be on the air at six thirty kickoff scheduled for seven on Friday night here on C CO quick break. We've got more coming up. We got a great crew here. Ericsson Jonathan Lois here. Dan, cook. We'll continue in a moment. Iran's Minnesota's news.

"Reaction to went back down He's to be Ball ballgame so I was talking about records prime and frames and were Cussing each other, through the IFP which is, our internal feedback which is how we talk to each other. Off, the air sorry I'm still. Laughing and Freddie just waiting for a dictionary ham through the glass like three books. All at once Thump It's all a week. Arm I thought you were going to break the glass Bump bump bump Back to giants Padres tonight. At, seven thirty yeah you. Mcglinchey and Staley have. Anything on us. We can kick we. Keep going off you want to see the backstreet boys on them, yesterday hi-fi yeah they sang that is. An regained glaciers I believe with, Murph, and MAC karaoke I. Can dig that so where are we talking, about, records, label Records is. Up there I think I think Emmitt Smith Eighteen thousand three hundred fifty five career, rushing yards it's got to be one of the toughest if not the toughest one to, break because the active leader right now is. Our men Frank or who's got what. Thirteen thousand yards and he's gonna have another year, Miami he looks, really good and Campbell reports of saying. Come dolphins land but I think Smith, eighteen thousand career rushing. Yards is going to be really really tough to break I. Just don't know if you're going to be user running. Backs like that in the NFL We've. Done a little bit of this before, but I think the. Wayne Gretzky Wayne Gretzky's point total is like come near twenty hundred point some gone godly number Yeah. That's absolutely in there Jerry. Rice, I think would be A year go. With many different records of his I, think all of? Them I'm going what. Is it twenty two thousand yards let. Me look it up real quick Rice's all time numbers because if you look at, rice and then the, next guy he's blow Anyway, it's unbelievable Fifteen hundred forty nine receptions or three hundred seven receptions ahead of, second-place record. Holder, Tony Gonzales Two thousand eight. Hundred. Ninety five career receiving yards are. Six thousand nine. Hundred sixty one yards ahead of second-place. Look the only things te'o and. Second I'm not gonna I don't wanna say that's an untouchable won the. Twenty two thousand, yards and here's why I. Say good because I think that one. Is doable With all the the the rule. Changes that have, gone on fair enough right and I'm not. Trying to say oh there's guys that are better the rice I'm just saying the amount that they throat. Look he average what like seventy. Six and. A. Half yards a game for his entire career and obviously it went down. Later in his career he was like. One hundred Julio Jones average is like ninety. He's number one on, the career list and like ninety seven yards a game, Antonio Brown's right behind that Odell. Beckham junior's right behind that that's nuts yeah so you. See three of the top guys. That have yards. Now longevity. That's where it's going to get everyone that's why don't you could say it's untouchable but with today's, game as far, as how, much they, pass all. That stuff I'm not gonna say it's untouchable I just think that's the only one of his records I feel like. Begotten. Right now I love it I. Love I love. What you're breaking down there because I. Absolutely I'm just looking at some. Of the current the current leaders active leaders Larry FitzGerald Antonio Brown you Mentioned I mean Tony O'Brien right now is forty eighth, in receiving all-time, forty-eight all, time just, under ten. Thousand I, don't know where he would end. Up, on this list when it's all said and done but like the touchdown the. Receiving touchdowns nineteen come close. No I don't think it's really moss caught touchdowns. Left and right all day long he had forty nine more so that's why a look like the whole, thing? When. You. Look at the the yards are seven thousand nine hundred sixty one yards ahead of Tim Brown right yes That's number two on, the? That's And that's why he's, that gap and that's why I, it's hard for me to say I'm just bringing it up based on. The fact that would today's game, if those guys were to play if Antonio Brown, were to play for twenty years there's a. Chance I mean he's not gonna do it. But it comes down to longevity, and how long you're in the game and how, much you pay Those numbers people say that's the untouchable wise I I wonder. I wonder all right, I like that a lot I'm just I mean we're just going. Down the list here because we're talking about bonds it's the eleventh year. Anniversary of him breaking and. Karen record seven fifty six happened eleven years ago. Tonight's we're just talking. About some of the untouchable unbreakable records and. Sports just throwing them around there with the game volving see baseball Volvo right before is what about the, fifty six game hitting. Streak. From Joe d. yeah that's not never happen yeah Cal. Ripken junior who. I don't. Think that'll. Ever happen not. A, chance today's everyone everybody rests that's? That's, safe oh you know what else is safe actually you know what I wanna know if, this is going to happen in. Today's NBA game one hundred points in a. Game No no no Because rest Russell. Goes off crazy one night. Takes like seventy, nine look deal Russell Russell. Will not score he'd have to know. Score more points he'd have, to score more take more shots. Than points scored so that's usually what he is. Efficient, at, all One hundred two as they don't. Have enough backboards for. His like ninety, mile an hour fastballs. He throws out the backboard every once in. A while they're going to do like three or four times. In a game you're right about that so yeah no I think that one's pretty safe went for eighty close not one. Hundred but that. Was insane going for eighty. Was insane to watch that I'm. Just, I'm just imagining because I can, see it happening I don't know who would be somebody just having a rockstar night getting close eighty. Five ninety points Louis be honest here I don't know Jerry Rice is not gonna have any of those. Records broken now. The more. More look at it the more and more we. Talk about it and just. Kind of break. It down on the numbers. I don't think I don't think anyone's touch Jerry any any any point in our lives watching the. NFL I really don't it's pretty it's pretty incredible Five hundred. Eleven wins Cy. Young oh, yeah no chance Oh okay Will there be another three hundred? Game, winner no the bath you would have to go. For another? Like what, three four. Five years five years of ten wins I think would be he's at six crunching the numbers. Right, now I think three hundred is going to. Be that's going to almost. Be the if you get. To that level ever you're guaranteed like. One of, the greats nowadays yeah nowadays I'm with you on that for. Sure you gotta SEC's at. Two hundred and forty three wins he's? Thirty? Seven years old so not likely to happen? Bartolo, Cologne hit to forty six tonight but again he's. Had to? Pitch into, his mid. Forties to get that that's, what's in Saint Louis what is the Cy Young as five eleven Which is like. Yeah that's the stuff so Marianna Rivera. That will, not be touched six fifty two in saves that's no is. Anyone gonna coupla sad saves. Record no I don't think so at? All Yes so some of these are just unbelievable they're untouchable some. Of them are interesting I just wanted. To, kick that around a. Little bit All right Look at. That point Two forty five Whole thing I just wanna Here comes the big one we'll to see how many. Wins he. Had forty. Five, all right coming up next we'll play with, Murph and MAC this morning replay the interview for.

"The college level but the question was could he dominate at the nfl level wasn't like he wasn't fast wasn't like he wasn't quick had good reliable hands but in his for was outstanding it was just a matter of what a player of his size be able to physically dominate at the next level like he did the college level there were some obvious concerns which is why he slide into the six round of first but the steelers saw something antonio brown through his dedication determination termination pluses own skillset has proved everybody wrong in a way that it's close to being on par with what tom brady has accomplished as the hundred ninety nine th pick in two thousand and he's been that good relative expectations with the pittsburgh steelers do you remember him coming out and what you what your thoughts were if not played against them in college i was a senior when he was a freshman at central michigan and i was the gun and i remember getting down the field and it was like one on one and i'm gonna an easy tackle in and outlook and he wasn't there anymore and then played them into against him in the nfl and the same thing happened he's just one of those guys man that he's just an incredible football player and they always talk about who are the best wide receivers and there are other guys who were pure wide receivers than him but what i quoted to is lebron james lebron james if the best point guard in the league he's not the best shooting guard maybe he's not probably the most pure power ford but when it comes to basketball player he's the best basketball player in the world that's when it's on your brown if you the best football player in the world to me now that's a good way to put it and i think there's there's comparisons can he be better than than jerry rice you know so we we laid it out here we know that rice he holds the record for the most receptions and receiving yards so ab needs eight hundred sixteen catches to tie rice and his face from the last five seasons reached that mark in twenty twentyfive he will be thirty seven years old right so he needs nearly thirteen thousand yards right to match rice in that category and based on his numbers in the last five years he passed them in twenty twenty six at a right age of thirty eight six damian we laid it out there for you saw the numbers you think this is possible possible can av catch on there's a reason why jerry rice it's considered now only the best wide receiver but the best football player in nfl history because he has a sustained level of success that is unmatched by any player in the history of the national football league i mean his numbers are ridiculous it's going to be hard for any player even in this era of the passing era in the national football for gossip break his records because of the long jeopardy that he played i mean he played into his forties yeah it's crazy i just don't think in this day and age and jerry may have benefited from that a little bit i just don't think that team is going to stay that committed to a player 'til they sturdy eight like when guys reached the thirty mark there already looking for the young guy and yes tony toe tap is still at that peak level but till thirty eight he has to have a big commitment from the steelers the receptions number we'll get closer really do believe that because i don't think that we are seeing the twilight or even the back nine of antonio brown's career if we are in the back nine we're on about whole ten right now steelers' re upped on their commitment to in recently with that massive lucrative long term extension that makes him the highest paid wide receiver football for the time being put antonio brown also has largely avoided major injuries now obviously missed some time last year for getting injured in that memorable game against the patriots but he's been durable and yet yet another incredible accomplishment for players that if you saw him walk around the hallway human bristow he wouldn't stand down to some guy say oh yeah but that guy dominates every sunday in the nfl and he would look a lot like like andrew haug me too much credit so you know what here's the problem when it's.

"If luck add the shoulder surgery in november of that season he'd have been able to rehab it and likely be playing opening week 2016 of something very close to 100 percent but he missed ten games over the next two seasons and with luck so often playing far below one hundred percent any way to colts won only ten times in the 22 time that he started so you look at his age twenty six twenty seven twenty eight seasons and that's supposed to be the prime cuts right there peyton manning three seasons that ag through for thirteen thousand yards had one hundred and five touchdown it is the sweet spot of a quarterback life and the indianapolis colts have simply blown that indy does go at present they are hosting big band and the steelers is one is our number seven game of the week number six minnesota at washington kirk cousins what did you do last week he didn't have stats the jumped off the page when you look at at the end didn't throw for three hundred yards or even throw a touchdown pass and usually he does one of those things if not both but he led the redskins to that improbable upset of seattle with a a borderline impossible four play thirty five seconds at seventy hard draw higher just just amazing stuff so is that the spark that lights the playoff views or was it just a false positive this is a very good weekday figure that out the support for redskins posting minnesota which is somehow six and two that's the team without a running back or it's starting running back and it's two potential starting qb teddy bridgewater is finally back actually ready willing and able if they need him but it's the old if at a broken why fix it right case canaan has been picked off what threetimes all year and the tight end kyle rudolf starting to reemerge received say it every week but we always look at tight ends against washington washington couldn't cover tight end if they had a heart.
