"Williams is being carted off. to the far side to the right of our broadcast location. to the tune in the good news was it is the the thumbs up but also as you've been attended to on the field you could see his legs moving around so yeah movement is it forever. so Erin Jones will get the lion's share of the work now the prior to this week it had been a combination of Jones and Williams their third string running back dexter Williams looking at a Notre Dame is. SO three tied into this formation they will send Erin Jones to the white as a receiver. until the twenty sixth largest rose in its own time on a cricketer to double. he's got it for nine yards short of the first down to the thirty five yard line well all week they talked about how they want to get the markdowns more involved in this offense you only have four targets all catches last week in this is a guide came off of the monsters here last year he had a hundred eleven reception. thirteen hundred yards and budget touchdowns and they felt like he's been a little bit of an afterthought so for this year double digit touchdowns in three straight seasons for adults what if. jurors as he drove to the bucket Sydney Jones got beat on the play. this is an American football running if no contact with off the one the scrimmage it happened just runs right by an invisible for throwing me right on the number it's a mid stride and if it's not for a huge string paschal my Sidney Jones divide the Adams is in the end zone. a fifty eight yard pass play for Green Bay and they set up first and goal Green Bay takes the first. thirty seconds..

"Not there's not a whole lot of here car lot yeah that's the price anyway to the raiders the plan is for him Tony brown to play on Monday now just back it will give it a try sign that something would happen this weekend isn't something going to happen this weekend knoll because he twenty. these emotional and he said I'm sorry. I see the word I can see where they called yes this is your is long as you're traveling to Antonio brown he called my gmail aka cracker. can't do though you can you can we. but he he didn't have an emotional apology to my mac and everybody else I tried to explain the dynamic from my perspective yesterday might Max in the first year as a general manager team he wants to change the culture and as whoever said if they want to get the knuckle heads out of there right he wants to create a good culture Jon Gruden who's getting a hundred million dollars over ten years won a Superbowl wants to win now versus later he needs Antonio brown to win sooner rather than later so might so Jon Gruden I think has more. tolerance for the chaos that Antonio brown brings because he knows how great a player is listed by holds uses it it is the Jews worth the squeeze ratio here the Jews here is thirteen hundred yards and fifteen touchdowns we we we think that's what it was last year the squeeze is he's an enormous pain in the **** is that you know. I'm not saying it Mike met our may act there are the way they informed.

"Shoulders and now feet of Kirk cousins out in Minnesota so let's sat out there and bring in Matthew caller you can follow Matthew on Twitter at Matthew Coller covers the Vikings host of purple daily on score north eight such generous nation radio map you appreciate the time today mad house things out of Minnesota what's the weather like it's brutal in Philadelphia it's brutal in Houston with the networks out it is there any sense of relief up there in Minnesota no actually it's a beautiful day I just got back from a jog and then goal the indoors I guess time yes bank stadium but it's just been a really nice summer in fact I have a a beautiful tan here from standing outside of like you've practiced all summer long I never thought that being in the northeast I would be jealous of the north central part of the country's climate but here here I sit well house Kirk cousins what's what's the latest and what are you hearing as far as red ability availability and I know we just made that word up but more availability for the regular season so well with her cousins I think the most interesting story line for him in training camp although you alluded to them wanting him to run more often I'm not sure how much I'll actually do that but that has been something that's been discussed but it's really about what's around Kirk cousins in who's pulling the strings that they've tried really quite a bit in the off season to make things better around him by drafting Kerr Fred Perry with a first round pick to improve the office of wine signing Josh Klein and then bringing in Gary Kubiak's to run this offense along with Kevin Stansky Kubiak's his exact title is that he offers of adviser but I think he's man in charge is his actual title and and if you want to Kubiak's history of taking quarterbacks in elevating them guys like Jake former and match job even Joe Flacco at one of his best years with Gary Kubiak calm place so I think that that's the hope with her cousins is that they can use a lot of the Kubiak type things of the play action to trying to hit on big throws down the field and so far in training camp we've seen quite a bit of that I mean I don't think that changes fundamentally who Kirk cousins is going to be a I think you're still going to see some deer in the headlights you're still going to see some very bizarre decision and probably some national PD meltdown but I think the office can be a lot more explosive than it was last year when they were in nineteen the score how frustrated is the fan how frustrated does the conversation yet when you look at what you laid out which is coming up short and if it's tear the headlight looks or a melt out on national TV when you start to associate the number and the amount of money that Kirk cousins is being paid yeah that's a good point I mean it's so it's really interesting if you go to training camp you walk around and you look at the Jersey that fans are wearing I bet you'd find as many teddy Bridgewater's as you would Kirk cousins I mean it it it really is amazing how the fan base has not bought into their quarterback and really when you pay that much and you have a team that went to the NFC championship what you have is the expectation to go back there or beyond that to the Superbowl and anything short of that is just not good enough there's no good will hear that Kirk cousins built up like teddy Bridgewater did in his first couple years when he showed the potential to be a franchise quarterback before his knee injury and and people came to really like him L. part of that was the fact that he got them to the playoffs and only want the playoff game because of a Blair Walsh and kick **** there's a very different view on Kirk cousins that you kind of mean your finest too often because of the circumstances it's kind of a cold view of it it's like if you when we're gonna like you and if not then you're going to be one of the biggest box moves in NFL history and that's all there is to say about it from the fan perspective so cousins when you were talking earlier this offseason about getting to a new level and things like that he was honest and said look I I basically got a win in order for people to think I'm one of the better quarterbacks in the league and that I'm worth it and he's completely right it's crazy what we're chatting with Matthew Coller at Matthew Coller on Twitter eight so generous nation radio Matthew covers the Vikings host of purple daily on score north it sounds a lot like the majority of conversations that I had with my callers and tweeters for years in Philadelphia about Donovan McNab it and you're talking about a guy who won at least in championship games and got to a Superbowl and it was never enough and not for a pocket of people but for more than half of that city and so I understand what you're saying and and I think for McNab you can always take it a step further because he was successful somewhat in the playoffs but here with cousins I I think it's refreshing for this is from the outside Matthew refreshing because Vikings fans it sounds like the majority of them at least are are not just being spoon fed or taking what they're being spoon fed from the team there waiting and seeing where it's like cousins has to earn it and it's not something where he's been drafted by that organization and has come up and that organization to maybe would be afforded more benefit of the doubt yeah and he's not really like a good story in which case Keenum everyone wanted case Keenum so desperately to get to the Superbowl because I mean imagine that right the guy comes in at the back up and was on drafted and then takes you to the Superbowl and set Philadelphia got that story with mix holding the bag out of going to the Superbowl but split even even with him losing a meltdown in the NFC championship inviting stand getting beers thrown at them in the parking lot all that people still felt an affinity for case Keenum even though he came up short the biggest time because he kind of had this like ability he played with his joy for the game with cousins you never really have a likable personality I mean I think it was the Deadspin piece by drummer Gary the pointed out that his even his smile doesn't really look legit right it will face hurts when he's doing it and I don't think it's intentional by him to come across this way but even when he does things like make the joke about the centers but so what like it just doesn't really come across as sort of like he's your relatable diet almost sounded like he was just throwing the center under the bus he has this also problem not just of not being paid a ton of money and being expected to win but also kind of doing those things that make the fan base think that you're kind of like a genuine person or genuine competitor and then I think anytime you come up short in the biggest moments in this would be a dot on the map thing when you're trough in the huddle yeah we're just never going to forget that and when you're in Chicago like her cut last year you got a chance to go when the game and you throw a pick six instead people just don't forget that it's amazing you're right in and what sticks with people in in their minds and yeah I how stocks speaking of that term how stock or the Vikings with Kirk cousins well not not really I mean this your first year and next year for sure because that contract is guaranteed but after that though I mean it's only only a three year deal and they could decide to move on and this is a really defining your for her cousins and a lot of people including general manager Rick Spielman I would say my December is well pretty much all the key pieces are under a ton of pressure to get back to the playoffs and win in the playoffs or there could be changes and you think if if Kirk cousins does the same stick where he throws for four thousand yards and two thousand of it as playing behind by two scores which was last year then in windows eight games that I think the organization will have to say look this isn't going to work I mean this guy that's all he does rose for big yardage but it's when they're losing and doesn't win that's what he did in Washington and if he doesn't for five straight seasons and that's probably who years and they could be a one of those teams the trade up and grab the quarterback higher something but if cousins you know put together great performance and wins eleven or twelve games then don't start talking about paying him thirty five to forty million dollars a year and a contract extension and then there's also the other part of it which is who knows if her cousins is going to want to sign a contract extension this is the guy who wouldn't find one in Washington that would have made him a very rich man and he forced his way out of there so who knows if he even wants to be the long term quarterback of the Vikings or if you just want the chase money and and that kind of circle back through another reason that Viking fan look at him with that sort of IT disposition is anytime and I don't blame any guy for getting the most money you can't but anytime somebody chases money like that people are going to look at it and say well you better do your job then you better not like Antonio brown freeze your feet the cryo chamber something like if you're going to demand the money you better put together on the field Matthew college joining us at Matthew cholera Twitter Vikings reporter course host of the purple daily on score nor they touch and SBNation radio you mention a couple of other names outside of Kirk cousins Matthew heading into this season assuming that the Vikings find a way to make the playoffs who from either a job security or maybe more importantly money coming their way is going to benefit the most outside of court cousins yeah well I mean I think if they make the playoffs and especially if they get back then the championship Mike Zimmer can pretty much signed an agreement to be the coach for as long as he wants to be I mean he's in his upper sixties and I don't know how much longer he wants to be a head coach because it's very stressful gig but if he has that much success in the routinely in the playoffs and and putting your chance to win a Superbowl he'll be that coach like Marvin Lewis was for a very very long time here so I think you've got that opportunity I would also say Dalvin cook and now I I mean I noticed around the league that nobody pays running backs but nobody really pays linebackers either in this team just dumped a bunch of money into Anthony bar and a huge contract nobody really pays nose tackle and the few pays Lindvall just a twelve million dollars a year so I think of Dalvin cook does what Dalvin cook is capable of doing which to me is twelve or thirteen hundred yards on the ground sixty or seventy catches I mean being that fantasy Darling and do it all died this organization absolutely love him and I wouldn't be surprised if he was one to kind of walk this friend a little bit and get a huge contract extension as a running back if he can play fourteen to sixteen games if not then it then they might be looking for other options at running back because he just can't stay healthy is it a fantasy monster me you've got a couple of them to most definitely right I would think when you look at the tandem of wide receivers around the NFL if not the most talented and then top two of the guys that you could put together on the field right with what you have a digs in feel and I imagine that when a from just a fantasy standpoint they're still high expectations that come across from both receivers you mention cook as well even cousins I mean my goodness of those guys gonna have big numbers even cousins can't screw that up right well it and this is part of why cousins really gets no excuses here I mean even though the office of wine wasn't good last year I would not projected to be one of the best in the league this year when you can hand somebody the modern version of Keenan McCardell and Jimmy Smith just the old one out before I love.

"Dot com ESPN app answers as Intel eighty there's no doubt the Antonio brown is a polarizing figure yes supporters there's no doubt about that but he has his detractors and Tony brown there's no question about his production but at a certain point when is Antonio brown at times Stargate stop getting in the way of Antonio brown the latest he wants to use his helmet the league has mandated that Hey you can't use this helmet everybody else is using it they're making the adjustments the raiders optimistic that he will soon be in that helmet because they're recommending that helmet that he used to wear is not so there's gonna be a safety measure him and Tony about that trying to hear that he is threatening to retire from the NFL or these quit the NFL if he does not get his way so who is Antonio brown I think that's what we're all trying to figure out but this is bigger than a helmet that the helmet is ten years old the one that he wants to use I mean is there anything else in your life where you go okay let's use this thing from ten years ago even though people are saying they're better standards today like this is pretty typical and Freddie it's a helmet to protect his head how would you want the best of the best even if that means you have to do some differently there's just odd situation but I'm not surprised because it's a B. we all know how A. B. is my dad always said about people like that there are unique bundle I know everybody's different but not everybody is unique brown is a unique bundle good bad what ever eight eight eight seven two nine three seven seven six who is Antonio brown help us out here Jim in Chicago which you got my question to you researchers around grandfather clauses I mean when they decided to retire forty two for for for Jackie rounded sit in the database so they let the guys were forty to till they retire like lepers and this will be entered any gel that there was going to wear a helmet Doug Wilson and a couple other guys in the world because the grandfather really because they played well there was no helmet requirement so even if the world was ten years old I'm not trying to use a ten year old helmet about what the manufacturer if the manufacturer still made to the help wanted the new element why can't the grandfather die you so for me it's not an issue about whether it be is that your case or not it's a matter of Hey this guy's thanks for all this time now you can use it wait how can you can't protect the guy who's been doing it all this time and let him finish his career and do what you want to do with a brand new helmet from that manufacturer of the style you want well my question would do Mr kago they allow players to wear the helmet last year as a grandfather clause last year for the year but there was gonna be mandated that they all had to switch to the helmet this year everybody's doing it if this was a son the NFL decided in July and putting in place in August and Antonio brown hot about it they let the players know this is the last year you will be using these kind of helmets next year everybody is gonna use this held a meeting two thousand nineteen this has nothing to do with Jackie Robinson in forty two NHL players allowed to be grandfathered not wearing helmets this is a whole different deal when it comes to Antonio brown and anybody else that's going to be uniform in the National Football League brother this is twenty nineteen we got wifi and self driving cars come all men nineteen forty to widen bring objects around is a completely different situation and this is a guy who is being asked to do this for his own safety you would not put your child in a car seat in a car seat from ten years ago not people do it but a certified because the standards change why the change because people were much smarter than I am study these issues and go this is safer for the players involved which is why they have this new standard this ain't about retiring jerseys are this is about one man who doesn't want to adjust to a standard that the entire league has decided that they're going to file even Jason when back in the National Football he said I will try to stick my helmet out there but I'm not crazy if this is going to help me be a safer player the year is going to take an adjustment but life is about adjustments unless you Antonio brown we want everybody to adjust to you and not the other way around he's not the only person is done this and he will be the last but he is that do doing that right now especially the NFL Zach in Florida eight eight eight seven two nine three seven seven six Zac who is Antonio brown tell Freddie going on my mac app one Freddie if it's Simmons and ESPN radio Hey Freddie and iron thanks to keep an area for later research so Antonio brown is the social media age Terrell Owens I used to argue that the production on the field was worth all the drama I'm I'm a Steelers fan so I've been defending this guy for years and years but now that I see what he's got going on another team I'm I'm glad that it's their problem I'm I'm sick of it I'm sick of it in the news about it I'm I'm I'm glad it on the raiders man for sure I think he makes an incredible point Freddy because he's averaged one thousand five hundred twenty four yards a game in the last six seasons I believe you can become the first one of the first to have seven straight thousand yard seasons he's really add six straight seasons of about thirteen hundred yards or more it's remarkable what he's been able to do but we saw this would DO we also saw this Freddie with Dez Bryant you can be that deal if you want to be when you're putting up twelve thirteen hundred yards in your life back but as soon as those numbers start to dip into the low thousands nine hundred all the sudden you're not the focal point all the sudden you look replaceable that's when all of that goes out the window and I think Antonio brown is banking on being able to do this two three four five more seasons Freddie but he's starting now this year could he could show a decline this year things to be different so that to me is where the standard changes in the production is there my boy Toby has a great standup comedian he says this a B. situation is the fault of volunteers perfect for that vicious it apparently Antonio brown has lost his mind yes area of North Carolina answer the question who is and who is Antonio brown Antonio brown is the answer to every person and steal our nation's prayers because he is gone I just wonder everything everybody was really needs are a class organization and as much heat as they took when they got Michael Vick for five minutes it will not close enough with bell and brown and I don't care if we go in sixteen this whole season I'm so glad they're gone I can't stand myself go Steelers you know what it is I guarantee you that Sir North Carolina things will fall call number one number two that's displayed a preseason game tonight verse the Tampa Bay I guarantee pregame warm as my top five what about a racer have eleven does that turn around situation and ninety five Duke it out laughing on the football field can you imagine that was happening here what happened last year when this guy quit off that's a week seventeen that would be the best case scenario compared to now with its own your route there are people with tears in her eyes and this side hurting from laughing so hard in Pittsburgh because what's going on now that told you about that even play one regular season game in Oakland there is seen all this before we're going to see it again it's going to be something else hello what's with Antonio brown it is going to be something else as far as that goes you can always win on Twitter I Coleman ESPN and also at med cap by ESPN how about the Oakland Raiders how they deal with this situation because this situation not going away and somebody wants me to be excited about the New York Mets why that's next on ESPN radio.

"At the cult and how they deployed Eric you brown that's how Evan Ingram and why and what's his name comes back for the jets Chris turned address on a contract for the just dad tell you got Eric he wore a yeah but they're at fifteen touched I know it but if you I get it but I but if you will if you look at his games right he basically all he did was run routes in the ends on like that's all he did big on is a pain in the **** to cover right and he would lumber is **** on to the field on second and goal so that but guys angry look withdraw it where you need to throw it right catch most timely cost that's great but my my point is that Chris Herndon and Evan Ingram are way more athletic they're much younger and they were those are guys I want to see more involved with the offense they never give Ron who went games without catches by on a stone you when you get into the red zone this is what I'm talking about when you're in the red zone you take these these hybrid wide receiver tight end types and use their size and their speed down there close to the goal line they're almost impossible to cover the and and the pride in there and the reason for that is because of the big you know the pass interference roles yeah I just did that it's all like Eric he Braun was every you know every single place out there stretching the field he'd he would lumbers **** on the field and all of a sudden you get to touch down you know a lot of that is due to Andrew lock in what he sees and how he calls the play at the line of scrimmage and and sees a match up that he likes and and how the players are drawn up I'm I I understand all that and and they don't know these kids aren't Angela luck just yet hopefully they'll become that but I I think that these players formed in and Ingram or that type of player that down in the red zone they are difference makers just like Hey look that's what the patriots it without crying Caskey you know all want to see those guys be each one of them once it was has been George kill that's our one right yeah okay that's the same type of thing yeah but I mean to kill was a major part of the offense her name was a guy called touchdown passes thank you for the old are great and I mean I eve runs our court touching them yeah a ton of touchdown passes but that's all he did but that's all it is a place yeah I get a sixteen how many touch so you're not understanding what I'm saying I think it's pretty obvious al I mean such as India I think you just had fifteen how many games they play play sixteen games are now that's almost that's all he did just don't watch just do that all I do is catch touchdowns as a touchdown maker yeah al dukes the touchdown maker I I I have higher expectations for guys not just touch downs any more than that from them let's go to Christian in Garden City Christian what's happening gentlemen good morning how are you it's going on alright so I called about a month ago when you guys were telling the boomer story about how you nine arrests for Hughes I had a flight back you were somewhere I forget was Washington DC with Dan Marino yeah so anyhow here we will go back in time and at that point the minutes were a disaster the talking to town was but we'll find being chief Brody ran away Callaway not call it gains that your doctor I told my brother what you'll start this year that the biggest change the match what plane would be the first thirty one games of the second half how he needed to right the ship turn around and be up on the bottom feeders which they have now everyone's talking about how the Mets are really not professionally a bonafide playoff team we go back to the first half we had the most blown saves in all of baseball so this is the fourth category if we were converted on every state opportunity we had right now we'd be neck and neck with the Braves if not in first place now granted we've had a lot of injuries we have an accent but it's for a year and a half be nonexistent with a neck injury nowhere to be found on the back of your card look at what we've done thus far with the players we've had you know has been produced you've just started hating answering again I think there's a lot to believe it we teach young that and he's next six games with the Braves and that's the way we're wind up with a take your station I can get Cheryl man or an instrument finishes the series I think with the brains again so right now with the pitching the way it's light out the young kids are producing make meals like a quarterback on the field just didn't take what the defense gives up like a premium beef and the guys try to ship the guy just swing anything engine it's another iconic use going going going this year has a history of the message and we understand that dans on Long Island going on Dan in order for a few questions yeah what's shown to win the football game yeah I understand what you're talking about my point is that they're all other tight ends in the legal exact hurts and George cattle did more for their teams in his lumber on the field catch touchdowns now that's all I'm saying there is there's guys or more athletic and younger and better they're bigger parts are off its energy Brian you can argue that hello a left yeah I want it all Kelsey arts those are the guys guys are great guy does the best tight end Eric came running we remember everything he was also a reclamation project because you never really just ever caught on with Matthew Stafford in Detroit and he's a big target they use them the right way they actually use in the way that urge would use it was used in Philadelphia you know kind of like that way and I I think you know you gotta have a quarterback to seize the field and understands the defense and knows where to go with the football lot of that stuff is all called at the line of scrimmage anyway by these quarterbacks these days so what what I'm saying is I want guys to be used in the red zone forget about the rest a feel for just a second I'm talking about the red zone in the red zone is where you get closer to that goal line closer to that and line and you want to use a guy that has big hands a big body and is able to go up and get the ball in his impossible cover guy all right and that's what these items are now yes Herman should be yes when he comes back and that's what every Ingram should be from day one I want those guys to be George yeah Travis Kelce sentence Acker tummy tuck about it though you engine fifteen thirteen thirteen thirty thirteen receptions on off any rushing touchdowns merit some point three one at thirteen TD receptions how many toll catches that have he had receptions he had sixty six Jack arts led the league with a hundred sixteen evening at close to that what's going to ride in Oceanside do you know your error eve rob point is way all your fantasy football fans ball player no on football player the USA I see football player I suggest what I would long of Herndon to be half an hour from Eric you run was a draft Boston telly got real offense labs with with yeah okay ends and Zach Kurtz in Travis county had almost double that so what's your point okay reside nam war we urge Jared cook I'm able why can't we just the god thirteen to a thirteen touchdowns this is more than just catching touchdowns more than a year that is I agree your I'm just saying that he's not he was involved I don't really like your characterization of you bring on the field that's what it does the numbers on the feelings of the he's he's just he's just lumber how long how do you how do you decide whether I don't think he lumbers at my opinion on the side it just might be he's a lumber what happens is we guy like Zach urge George cattle and who is my a Travis Kelsey these guys there too heavily involved all the time middle of the few the catch the young here's here's a Eric he rice numbers on a goes in the end zone the White House ten guys on T. Y. Hilton Menand Angela because he's a quarterback years looks off in a big fat or he run the back in the end is not that is not right he's not any does that's what goes on he's very athletic okay all you what like when I think of a lumber I think like like looses of a lumber did you would you think the driver was that he had a lumber would you think that Jared cook what do you think out like a guy who chops wood lumber or just lumbers when he walks with what general lumbers on the walk sure do yeah but I'm not you know Joe hi Jim terrible posture you're right would you say that's a look like that to let twilight consider lumbering I don't I Ronstadt's all right up and he's a big guy that flooding is a lumber he's written pair to these other tied into the lumber would you think that Jared cook at a better year than archy run Lester Jared cook the Oakland Raiders terrible team last year yeah but they didn't have anybody else to throw to okay fine they didn't HRA Mari Cooper in the middle of the season in the trade to make all trades the matter I'm just say that I you want to deploy them you want Chris Herndon and everything would be like Eric you brought I got higher sites for them I'm saying I want to write down how many touchdowns is accurate to and TTC at eight eight eight how many catches the via he had a hundred and sixteen many only had eight touchdowns on sixteen K. must be a lumber no no what about I was you know well George kill had how many go to sounds he had five touchdowns and also eighty eight receptions and thirteen hundred yards any broken records last year the tight end position now go with that team they were terrible if you go to the playoffs it would be talking about the teen we talk about the tight and you can't change your argument now all of a sudden for what I've done as of the time on your talking about the successes all the team because the player had to touch yeah grant more see you kill me there's there's three tight ends are so much better than that guy didn't say that he was the best but just S. John and sharp was the best Tony Gonzalez was the best I'm not comparing him down I'm just saying that he had sixty six catches and thirteen touchdowns yeah that's what I'm saying and that's what I want if you told me there I like that David Ingram have about eighty five catches about thirteen hundred yards and fifteen touchdowns you say you want to deploy him in that way and I wanted to play I.

"On CBS sports radio taking phone calls in a second eight five five two one two for CBS then I thought of another question as well when it comes to this mad a conversation if you had to pick let's say you got the game tomorrow and your open it up and you want to pick one team let's say one team from the A. F. C. one team from the NFC who's the teams from the AFC who's the team from the NFC not this question to Christopher as well that you would be picking if you have played the game tomorrow for did come out tomorrow hands down the Cleveland Browns you got a quarterback the could move to receivers that I could throw the ball to hopefully they don't have month suspension in Madden but I'll have remote on coming out of the backfield that's a fun team and a defense that can get after the quarterback because I don't have the ability to cover myself I just rush the passer and then let might defensive backs do their own thing so definitely the Browns in the NFC who that's a tough one I know who you won't say but you should say them because I agree with you in the eye and saying I know Christopher would disagree with us because he hates that team but it should be the Cleveland Browns and I get what we said about the homes earlier to go wrong to buy homes and I guess you would have Tyree killing the video game most likely to we can just throw bombs however in the AFC with all the hype around the Browns it's impossible not to pick the Browns and mad and they seem like a a video game type of team at the end of saying my answer Philadelphia Eagles and its mobile Carson Wentz big arm if good running a good running back in Jordan how weird you have you know talented wide receivers and tight ends actor tells son Jeffrey see I like others offensively they're loaded yet no but I like I like teams in in that game with receivers who can stretch the field so I I I'm gonna sacrifice the mobile quarterback here for a second man of C. team but I can stretch the field a lot and that's the scenes give me Qamar out of the backfield yeah be dangerous dangerous with that to any of my my condo exactly okay yeah I can't make you know I can't really descriptive much of the saints your cell phone I am CNSE team matic comes out tomorrow who you pick a chiefs cowboys chief of the cowboys yeah now yellow mobility with dak Prescott good defense again Zeke and you get sick I got a mark Cooper is my number one feel really good about it not that I can't tell you on that one either so some some fun things that you pick right there alright let's go to fort worth Texas will go to mark the next up on CBS sports radio Martha what's happened I don't I get a little bit confused about you're in a wide receiver peg all my god I felt like you had disinfecting have you have like their own drop I know he had yeah I'm I'm not expecting him I said he was the best wide receiver in the league right out that he did and desire being at ninety nine no right Ben said he doesn't deserve to be ninety nine he does mark the appreciate the phone call I said I have no problem with it being an idea I don't get though how you differentiate though in terms of Madden ratings deandre Hopkins Julio Jones and Antonio brown I think the best receiver batteries are different things I I you're right you're you're splitting hairs when it comes the top receivers in football I think they all bring something to the game I wouldn't argue that I think the Andriy Hopkins has the best hands in football but if we're talking a total package I said I think Antonio brown is a better receiver that Hopkins I get that he had no drop some given props for his hands but if that's all that you're you're bringing to the table to argue for some guys that he had no drops well it's also fair to in his career he's been great and he has not like the great quarterbacks yes I think you for a long time is was on underrated receiver that all I had and it's nice to finally see him get an apparatus it is nice I am with they be for a while it was a lock that he was the best wide receiver in football the added to the changes the ranking with that in terms of best receiver the league however I don't matter I don't care I don't think there is any yeah I don't think diva there's exactly a reading under each player it saves actually encouraged in video games because then you get the celebration component to it as well let's go to Gary Massachusetts stop CBS sports radio what's up Gary the guy played or not I was thinking maybe I'd get old out there but the go okay maybe not that yeah but that yeah he's a pre med by that these pretty good I then view an update I Minnesota the great river the river about five deck could be up there as well yeah I feel it in big they're not ninety nine so this is not ninety nine what a great year last year has really add to great back to back years going over top one yards and thirteen hundred yards I can't call Adam feeling though ninety nine just not going to do it you can't give everyone out of ninety nine aids for example important what does the the pizza reviews and he's with the celebrity and he gives a good slice of pizza seven point two Hey it's like figure skating if you if you give everyone a ninety nine which is like the the tendon matted if there's no there's no room for improvement yeah there's no room for Adam P. owns a good point but he's he's him he's probably in the third tier of wide receivers anally he's a top ten receiver yeah but I'm if we're doing tears I would probably put him in the third tier below the that's so funny we were just now I'll tell you off there but I would put him in the third tier below the Hopkins the back of the the Julio yeah and the AP by the way real quick that I got to get to a break and I might add that Michael Thomas did you see a horse won a race for them they disqualified the horse because the horse is running without a jockey I did your Twitter app me once again we know the the horse knows he's racing and he sure knows he's winning we saw in the Preakness and now we saw horse win without a jockey the trend the trend that's a improving day by day all right we'll take a time out Brad Turner gonna join us next talk a little Lakers hopes with that the Davis in the Bronte Ming up the first upset can't with latest CBS sports update sports way you'll at least can't.

"Haven't dabbled in it, but certainly, if it's going to become more and more available and more prominent more books. Maybe I need to start out a little bit into KP we're going to get into the SEC, but are there any of your future plays, like just give me one or two that you think may still have value? But if people don't get on it soon, it's going to be gone, there be any value because I know there's several that you have given out to your clients over. Over there. The power sweep and, and the, the bad thing is for a lot of those people if they even drag their heels a little bit. They missed the good lines. But you have it to where you understand that a lot of people may not get down right away. So you have a window to where you'll cut it off and say, that's it. I'm not on it anymore. No, play or still value up until this number. Give me to college football plays, whether it's a future as far as you know, a future game like games of the year or even a win total. It's still out there BP, as far as college football that you like the think the listeners can still still make some money on. To Michigan state over. Certainly get some money at technology. But at least at the other three or four books that I've seen it available. I'm gonna take the Spartans over seven and a half. Here's a team that's got seventeen returning starters. Obviously wasn't disappointment last year coming up then when them only managed seven wins. But I think people forget out banged up Sparty was a year ago. They lost fifty five starts injury thing. Hey, five years starters. Season. Now go play with one of your hands tied behind your back and even the quarterback play with bad, but lower the work he had a good year, two years ago, last year off at decent star. But I guess what the word was entered a shoulder to shoulder injury. Just didn't hack improvement oughta him. Favored at nine games this year. Like you know they're not capable pulling up. That's. Time and time again, whether it's against their big brother, Michigan. They've even been able to beat Ohio State to three times the last five six years state over seven, and a half, when I think that should be eight maybe even eight and a half. That's how much I think as far this year, and in Senegal game of the years, because a lot of people can't, you know, get down on those. Let's just go to week on. And I'm gonna give out Missouri there on the road and Larrabee, Wyoming. I get it. At the highest elevation in the country, you're up a mile high, but I'm not too worried about why owning loses. You know their best player at least off at the running back nickel. He ran for thirteen hundred yards year ago, a couple of their best defensive player's Missouri is a good bully, at least that they had coach. They've been a double digit favorite eleven times they've worn all living game. They cover nine of them. The average cover has been by two touchdowns per game. And the average score is like fifty five to sixteen so not afraid too late and play it here. I think a lot of people think Missouri gonna take a major step back. I don't think that's going to be the case, a lot of talent around and Kelly Bryant their new quarterback, even be improved, Missouri. Minus fourteen and a half week. Wanna gets wild not going to put the pressure on too much. But I am really because Tony Sanchez gonna be Steiner's pub tomorrow night. And they the golden nugget, of course, has all the lines out for. Of the year for UNLV, and you mentioned Laremy UNLV goes there, September the twenty eighth and I liked it. They're going there September. I'm glad they're not going there in November, you know because then I feel the weather. Yeah. The allegation like you're saying, but the weather could come into play and be somewhat nice there and you never know could get something early. But probably pretty good as far as football weather, your take on UNLV first off in that particular game. And what about the reds can Tony get six wins this year. Yeah. I in that game, I certainly going to help the you got a buy in that one. So they're coming off a bye, that's a positive. Meanwhile.

"There are other ways of doing that, and we've had a lot of discussions about that. And, you know, I feel like what we should be doing is always the highest quality and I'm not sure season games tech level right now. He's been saying that a long time, which I find very interesting. Now it comes back, again we bring Dan Orlovsky back into the conversation again as well. Dan, as a former player, what is your thought on Goodell's comments regarding the preseason. Yeah he's spot on. I mean let's be on screen to fourth preseason game is stupid. There's, there's no accomplishment. I've had coaches of mine, you know when we're going into that game go I'll just game. We're just trying to get out here. I don't really care what happens this game. I honestly say going into that game, most coaches have fifty two out of their fifty three guys picked to make their team. I've seen guys in the fourth game bowl out and not make the team. I also look at it like this, like, there's the reality that most teams in the NFL during training camp had joint practices nowadays, where they can control. The environment is coaches. We wanna do two minute, we wanna do red zone in a much less of a risk for injury environment. Those coaches can control it get all the reps that they want. And now the players have some leverage really going into a collective bargaining agreement in a year and a half going Ari. Roger. Goodell you in the owners if you want this eighteen game season. What are you going to give to us? So I expect some, some change the preseason initial games to happen. Yeah. Should be pointed out that doesn't mean that there will be fewer games. Overall start to finish just maybe more meaningful ones. Be adding games in the regular season or perhaps adding some layer in the postseason. I'm to go back to the beginning of it, though. Because for years and years, I had a lot of guys who made the NFL and wound up having long productive careers. Tell me the only reason they wound up making their team because they got a chance to play in those last preseason games. When otherwise no one else was watching your telling me, you do not believe that is the case anymore. No, because the joint practices, I've been part of teams where you go to join practices for three or four days in those practices coaches meet together and say, what do you guys want to work on? What do we what do we need to work on? And they control the environment so much more the starters go against the starters, the backups get back third stringer of the force news guys trying to make teams. They have opportunities to be more in a finite practice. Experience where hey we're going to do some kickoff stuff for some really or stuff meeting. The guys in the punt teams on the outside. Getting one on one work in really stressful environments to greenie. Sometimes you get to a preseason game. It's thirty two nothing. It doesn't matter. So it's not necessarily fifteen years ago, guys are trying to make a team again. I've seen plenty of guys go into the fourth preseason game. Absolutely ball out and not make the team. We all have put that on film, and maybe some other team sees it and they get a chance somewhere. I get the argument on either side of this thing. I think it'll be interesting to see where it goes. Let me run the hurry up with here. Dan? Go round a bunch of different places. We told you earlier Odell Beckham junior expected to report to the Browns minicam today, what are you expecting from him this season in Cleveland, the L of his first two and a half years? I expect thirteen hundred yards expect ten touchdowns, when he's been healthy and he's at a quarterback playing at a relatively good level that's been his production. So you're adding into this offense. That was number one in the leave after Freddie kitchens over as a play caller. I expect a. Huge year out of Odell in Cleveland. Another new face in a new place..

"But it wasn't a musician. Because it was the name is what I'm saying. It was just the it was as much about to leave in Peter's, and that they just signed cooks that they just signed girly that they just given Donald all this money that it was there's enough to go around as much that not a need in a position, whereas the wide receiver with with cooks Cup in and woods. Who's coming off? The field hitting me ask you this not enough balls go around let me ask you this question. If AB were to be on the team who will be the best receiver him. And that's all I'm saying. Yeah. But. Rams. Do you're not it. This isn't case keenum? Joe flacco, you you not these dues are. Woods is giving you everything he's giving you the position cooks can do the same things. He can basically do the same things. AB do the same exact thing. So who would you rather have? I got the guy got cooked with fifteen touchdowns and thirteen hundred yards. Please. Yeah. But you can't take the numbers. You can't take the number. All I'm saying. Is you want to play you based upon the aggression that we've seen less knee operate and post? Jeff fisher. I wouldn't be surprised. He picked up the phone. Yeah. Not gonna not gonna happen tonight. First of all have a one to give up. They've won this year. It's thirty first pick in the draft. But they have it yet. But that one they not gonna take ABM. It's it's mean number three wishful thinking ram fans or just you know, what it is kicking tires. It's time for keys to love. Oh, gonna watch you show the people that people have questions drape do have questions. Here's question number one key Valentine's Day on Thursday. And I really don't want to do anything big with the wife. Anything small that? I should do. Maybe. Yeah. You could you could stay at home license. Candles bath water. You know, what I'm saying champagne, you know, little candies cook watch a movie turn on the FOX is going to be raining. And I kind enough either. Disa- meat. Oh, no, taco guy. I wanna talk oh trucks, man. So you can go and get some from beyond me. Let me not meet. Yeah. But I I would just stay at home. That's nice. You don't all? You don't always go out. And do think over the top. Oh, you don't have to. I wonder what he means by big though, is is it a monetary thing. Or is it an activity thing because gesture right event. What exact does he does he not mind going out? He just doesn't want it to be expensive because you can stay in and be expensive. And that puts key to your point if your lighting candles, and flowers, and champagne and cooking, and all the things that would be considered big and a lot of places, right? That little could be like a gift certificate the subway. Look at you that her a card in a Starbucks gift card. Yeah. That's small. That's little here's number two eight Tommy, okay. I'll see you know, what I'm going to ask. What if anything should they get my side piece tomorrow a gift tomorrow and a date on Saturday or take her out tonight? It's trivia night at the par. What it says, I read them? I'd hold Ryan them. I read them. Oh now date. Yes. Date on a Saturday piece. Knee love to sign peace getting more crescent with the pieces. He's taken Dayton up book. You absolutely have to get them something on Valentine's Day, but they don't have to be seated on Valentine's. So what you do is remind them ever so gently better to go earlier late remind them. Well, if you put an end today today's kind late, it's true. You have to remind him ever so slightly. You're not the main piece, right? So one of the way to do that is by giving the Valentine's Day gift, but not on Valentine's Day. Keyshawn chicken, people know, any advice key. Only have advice for this one. I let l z handle this. Elsie? I guess that's why I said, okay. Here's he agrees more dialed in on that one. And I doubt it. He's talking about number three..

Yes, put out the audience is very far away from us. You couldn't hear their way. By closer. We could hear you could. That was part of the problem already. Our next guest is a former high school quarterback who didn't cut it that position. So moved to tight end at the university of Cincinnati where he majored in exploratory studies a third round pick of the chiefs Travis Kelsey quickly made an impact on an off the field. He starred in the show catching Kelsey on the network where dated women from all over the country. How did that work out for this season one hundred three catches Rover thirteen hundred yards ten touchdowns? But most of that's because the defense was focused on tyrod kill despite his success. His older brother Jason could probably still take him in a fight. Please welcome Travis. Kelsey. Always always Oprah's move at home. I like all always good to see always good to see tell you. What man these insurance? Did you expect compliments those compliments? Well, I mean, you did date. How many women did you date on that show man during the show or on the show? How many did you date after the show so far just one wait? Are you in love? I am in love. I have found love. Yes. Let us found me. Are you engaged? No. Oh, then you're not in love out there. Yeah. "Barkley at forty three percent with over twenty five thousand six hundred plus votes fits to the people have it. Right. Not you know, I think sake once rookie of the year in it takes nothing away. From what Baker is accomplishing or what the Baker has accomplished. I think when you when you're looking at where the Browns were and who the Browns are trying to become and the fact that they never have had a franchise quarterback as the new Browns. It's so easy to ride the quarterback height train. And I understand that. There was conversation for the giants of whether or not they should have picked a quarterback and understand that the giants season may not have gone the way people wanted it or intimated it would go. But the the the bright spot for that has been saquon Barkley saquon Barkley was able to do things that are absolutely extraordinary. When you talk about thirteen hundred yards rushing talking about seven hundred twenty one yards receiving? I mean, he had ninety one catches this year. You talk about the workload. They put on him three hundred fifty touches for over two thousand yards. I mean, I don't know what else you want out of a rookie other than that level of production. Oh, and by the way, eleven rushing touchdowns and four receiving touchdowns. I mean, it's epic. What he's done. Yeah. I actually completely agree with you. When I. Think midway through the season, I might have been leaning towards Mayfield. But I think the problem is with the reasoning behind Mayfield for some people is not just great stats which are evident twenty-seven touchdown passes. In just thirteen starts. That's an NFL rookie record. And again without starting every game. Thirteen games in a row with a touchdown pass and team record for passing yards and touchdown passes by a rookie the way he turned around. This team is going to be used as the reasoning for his vote..

"And. It's just those sorts of things where he gets his hands on the ball, you pay attention because you never quite know what's going to happen. Yeah. One thing. I like about him is how they did move around. So we had one hundred seven total targets that was thirty two point. Six percent target share in the Oklahoma offense. So one hundred seven hundred seven total targets forty six of those came from the slot. So so they moved him. They moved him around. He had some time the outside. I had some time in the slot. That's that's the type of versatility. You wanna look for especially someone like that ten touchdowns just over thirteen hundred yards. Seventy point eight percent catch rate. And so so these are all things you wake get five ten listed under one hundred seventy pounds of. But when you have that speed, I think, that's that's not something that's going to matter. When you're when you're behind the defenders by tonky added he falls in just below one to zero point nine six of the guys. I have right now. That's like twentieth that so that's still not bad. And especially if you can continue to add things of the one thing that that he gets enough for by target yards. Added is the Oklahoma offense was just so good. When I put together to the quarterback yards per tempt two other players that is eleven point three five and no one else only one other player is above ten when an offense was targeting someone else. So he still had twelve point three yards per target. Which is is really. Good. I just happens though, the Oklahoma offense was so good. But that's part of what I want target yards added to to measure is in the overall view of the offense because there are some players who who do get high yards per target. But because the the offense is so good. And so pass heavy, but I think Brown could add just enough in that Oklahoma offense that he's going to be productive going forward. And then two in terms of of that all take it to to my guy here in this area and somebody who has a yards per target on offense. That was not overall great and Ed is going to be a manual hall of Missouri. So he is listed at six three one ninety five again, the bigger guy in height of this lender. But that's okay. But against someone who can get down field. So he's a guy when he comes out. On top of target yards added right now, he is the top wide receiver at seven point four three. Target's added. Are you we had a fourteen percent? Target's share at Missouri. But he's someone when the ball went to him. It was a big play a so fourteen point three yards per target when Missouri through to anyone else they only had six point eight five yards per tempt. So he is someone who is incredibly explosives six three. He's he's a little bigger. So he can win some of those jumbo's that you can throw to him, but just so much explosiveness there. He's you'll be head fifty eight targets, but and twenty two point four yards per catch. And by marginal explosiveness, which is kind of like an expected points added four the four receivers, and this is per Bill Conley's numbers at football study hall zero point nine five which is insane for someone targeted as often as he is. So he. He's also a senior he's someone who's going to be at the senior bowl. So I think if he lines up there, and it does. Well, I think his stock is only going to continue to rise. Yeah. And that's an those guys are always fun to watch and watch out for the ones who maybe weren't in the best situation in college or didn't get the best chance to shine and showcase their talents. And then they go someplace like the senior bowl where they wind up making everybody. Go. Okay. Who's this guy and send just a legion of scouts back to the tape and try to figure out what they missed. Yeah. And I think he he is going to be that guy so players who addict come out well on top of tards added. I think they especially as as high as he didn't over seven is is really good. So we'll continue to. Talk about that. And I think I've wanted to vote kind of a full episode to just go into the process, and what it means, but someone who can add that much to to an authentic..

"And there's a lot of great players, but he has a case, Sarah as the most talented Steeler of all time. He's at least in the conversation for the top three to five he has in previous years because he's been darling right in Pittsburgh. He recently signed a lucrative long term extension. He has been a beast for them on the field. It's crazy to think I'm much this could change it. Fifteen hundred yards this season, Sarah or close to it like thirteen hundred. But still the point is this thirteen hundred yards in fifteen games is remarkable for an Tonio Brown. It's. Crazy to think that a player could go from a pedestal to a different kind of pedestal. Right. The trading block for Antonio Brown that just where we're at now with this. Pittsburgh Steelers team. I think that ultimately we're going to see a lot of this over the next few months there one will it happen to what are the hurdles to make it happen three. What can the Steelers get in return for what would the new team acquiring Antonio Brown begetting and another it's a lot right there and people also care about the destination more than they do the minutia in some cases. But in the same way that we made the NBA star comparisons earlier the Jimmy Butler trade the Kawai Leonard trade like it might take a lot of sorting through the mud inbetween. But if any Tony O'Brien is ultimately dealt. It's a league shifting move. It really could do a lot to whatever franchise potentially acquires him. And it will be a seminal moment for the Steelers. It really has you mentioned there are a lot of factors that come into play. And we're gonna have Jeremy Fowler on. To talk about those salary cap issues that the contract he's currently in. And just exactly how much of a problem. This is if it can be fixed versus solving it with.

"So I'm in the fact that just in Herbert kid from Oregon decided to go back to school to week a week crop of quarterbacks and his final four games have been maybe the four best of his college career for all the reasons I am in on going to the NFL, Jen. I'm going to cosign on everything that Nick said, I mean, he's going to be a top five pick probably the number one pick overall, we know quarterbacks get pushed up to the top of the draft and this year there little short on supply. There's always a demand. So Dwayne Haskins probably gonna leave will house. They'd I'm on him. Go into the NFL. Now, a quarter of the league is looking for new head coaches and cliff Kingsbury will reportedly be getting interviews with the jets in the cardinals. He's currently the offensive coordinator after getting fired for going thirty five and forty and six seasons at Texas Tech canny winner out on cliff Kingsbury being an NFL head coach kingsborough. NFL coach he was fired from Texas Tech after being one of the legendary quarterback off, Texas Tech. So I mean if he lost that job. There's no reason to think that he's going to jump to the NFL ranks and all of a sudden become an overnight success at this level. So I am out on Kingsbury being an NFL coach. I don't understand this one on out entirely. I don't I this would be almost unprecedented level of failing upwards to be fired from your al-matar where you are a legendary player and a very popular figure in the community. Most popular figure in the city of Lubbock, Texas and have that turn into an NFL head coaching job. Is everyone going crazy? Like, I say the seriously would he be a candidate? If he wasn't so damn handsome. I don't think he would be everyone. Everyone's everyone's gone nuts. Great offense coordinator candidate not enough L head coach not right now. No, I'm out. Facial features another day. Looking man another story coming out of Pittsburgh Antonio Brown. Has reportedly requested a trade despite all the drama Brown. Led the NFL fifteen touchdown receptions to go along with almost thirteen hundred yards Nick, you interact on the Steelers trading into Neo Brown. Can't believe it's gotten to this point. But when I can't rely on you to show up for work the most important week work the year, I have to be in on at least listening to offers. I have to be I wouldn't trade him for nothing. Not not the moss to the patron. Oakland got rid of them for nothing. But when Amari Cooper confederal first round pick, if I get a I in third I'm listening if I get a I in a second, I'm doing it. I in a I. A hang up the phone and say, yes, like, no, I'm in on the Steelers if they get the right offer because something's gotta shift culturally in Pittsburgh. I completely disagree. I'm all the way out on that one. Not only are you going to lose the running back. That's led the NFL in yards from scrimmage since twenty thirteen which also going to lose the wide receiver. That's led all wide receivers in the NFL since two thousand thirteen and whatever category receiving you wanna pick whether as yards touchdowns. Whatever doesn't matter. Then the best Antonio Brown has been the best. So I mean talk about losing both those guys in the same off season. Yeah, I'm all the way out on that one no way. Pittsburgh, no way. Should they trade Tonio Brown eyed NFL dot com released.

"According to reports and little notes that sort of tell you that they were issues with between him and the team if they weren't already obvious by him doing the double feed me thing after he catches all sometime, but juju Smith. Stor was voted team MVP despite Brown having one hundred and four receptions thirteen hundred yards led the NFL with fifteen touchdowns which is a team record. And clearly was the team MVP. And so he was he said he requested a trade demand a trait. It's really hard to trade him given his cap numbers for the next couple of years. And so what in the heck that you do when Tony will Brown or do you align yourself with a coach who's sort of been underwhelming of late and a quarterback who's clearly aging and a levian bell. Who might not be back. Yeah. It's it's tough. I don't envy Mike Tomlin at the same time. He's not gonna find many quarterbacks who were better than Ben Rothlisberger. I know Rosberg had a issue with interceptions this year. But he's still a top tier quarterback issue with interceptions this year, but he's had issues with health in other years. And again, he's just not getting any younger. He's clearly at the tail end. Right. But he. Antonio Brown doesn't control where he's traded to. And I think that there's about two thirds chance that wherever he's traded to is not going to have a quarterback as good as as been, you know, but but Pittsburgh they showed this year. Jane, James, Connor was a pretty good fill in for Levy on bell. There wasn't that much of a drop off. Although there was a drop off and on most teams Schuster would be a quality top receiver. So I think Pittsburgh's going to be okay. Even if they lose new Brown. Well, this is the thing that's kind of maddening to if I was if I was Antonio Brown, right? If I was the the classic diva wide receiver and by classic diva wide receiver. I mean, the wide receivers who are clearly great and are frustrated with their quarterback play. Because if you're that good as a receiver probably always going to be frustrated with your quarterback, unless you have one of the greatest ever, and you're being targeted you know, twenty times a game. But listening to Ben Rothlisberger talk. He does the off shucks thing. As well as anybody who doesn't actually come across that way. Right. So you you read quotes, and he's saying people are making a big deal about a walk-through. If there was a blow up. I sure as heck didn't see it. I'm not sure where that came from. I talked to AB Thursday morning. Everything was great and fine. I'm not sure where this blow up is coming from your clearly, lying, man. You're clearly lying, and I'm sure if Antonio over there saying man here, Ben is gonna look good. He's gonna look like the good guy here. And yet he's at the crux of the reason why I'm upset because he and the coach just not trying to get me the ball, right? Yeah. And the other thing you mentioned the MVP vote on that team. Antonio Brown is very much the kind of player who does want to be the MVP of that team for all we know he's he's got a contractual incentives that might have paid him a million dollars to be that. But you know, it would have been so easy for them to do the right thing and name him the MVP because he's certainly was and for them to be sort of be petty and give it to somebody who's undeserving just to sort of tweak and Tonio Brown rather. Than do the right thing is not serving the Steelers. I mean, you could argue that juju Smith Schuster was their MVP because his presence gave them, you know, gave the defense something else to think about he helped make Antonio and Antonio Brown's year by getting some DB's off of him or whatever. But I mean, let's be honest, if you're dealing with a guy who, and this is kind of sad that this is the way you have to do these things and in professional sports, but if you're dealing with a guy who's showing any sort of. Reason to be angry with the team..

"We talked about college football off the weekend. I gave him my thoughts on the playoff. We took. A look ahead to the championship game coming up. Then I had interviews. Also, Jason lockenfora and Pete Thamel other the big story this morning Antonio Brown, Andy. Pittsburgh steelers. Meantime, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN tweets one of the most significant moments of the press conference when asked if there is a point where Antonio Brown's antics could outweighs production, Mike Tomlin said bluntly, quote, certainly certainly so that would answer the question posed Mike Tomlin is worth all this is Antonio Brown who is one of the best not only they've ever had at that position. One of the best ever do it and still performing at a very very high level is he? Worth all of this. We are talking about a player who missed a week seventeen game a week seventeen game that a playoff implications critical game. Not because he was injured as was initially reported. But because he got into it with Ben Rothlisberger during a practice, and then just sat out practices after that. And then when he showed up at the game apparently ready to go. He was told he would not be plying. So now it goes on. Everybody's been waiting to see. All right. What is Mike Tomlin going to say Tomlin is having oppressor Tomlin is been pretty critical of Antonio Brown in that presser. In the meantime, Antonio takes to social media to do what he does Andy posts rather cryptic message, quote Santoni. Oh Brown now on social quote. My options may seem limited by people or circumstances. It is then that I remind myself, I am in command of my attitude. I am divinely blessed with free will I utilize that gift choosing to take charge of my life to express the creativity vitality and wholeness they're truly define me quote. So whereas AB going with that then I do control my own fate. My own destiny doesn't matter. What my cap number is. Oh, and then this being twenty nineteen Bleacher report NFL tweets ABC started following the forty Niners to re tweet from Instagram any of that. So now he's following the forty Niners. And posting cryptic messages. While Mike Tomlin is critical of him. At oppressor. So where does that leave them, right? The Steelers were one of those teams that ended last season with the thought of making a Ron at a Super Bowl this year. Now, what are year they've had? What are we double back? Remember, levian bell. Remember that whole thing that feels like that was fifteen years ago now, but it was actually all this NFL season. And somehow the fact that they missed the playoffs this year feels like the least of their worries because you have this Antonio Brown situation me quickly recap since this my first work day of the year. He missed week seventeen against the Bengals because of a knee injury, bad timing. Right given that the team was still battling for a playoff spot. Even worse. Even worse than missing that game. Because of a knee injury. Is the fact that it was not a knee injury. According to the Pittsburgh post gazette quote Antonio Brown did not play in the season ending game against the Bengals because he elected to sit out practice last week after a dispute with Ben Rothlisberger. Wait what he didn't play in the final game of the year because he elected to sit out practice after a dispute with his fame quarterback. But wait there's more according to the post gazette quote the disagreement occurred Wednesday morning during a routine walkthrough practice dip proceeds their regular afternoon. Practice on the south side. Brown was disgusted and through a football in rothlisburger direction. Several sources said the report goes on quote after that Brown did not practice the rest of the week. According to a source. It was Brown's decision. Not to practice with his teammates, and quote, so ABM Ben are going through a through something happens. Brown's disgusted fires of football at rothlisburger. And then just not practice the rest of the week. Pretty weird. Pretty weird ABC's done some pretty weird things. But that's next level weird. But it's still even the weirdest part the post gazette. It has more quote, he did not attend Saturday's walk through and skip the Saturday night meeting at the team hotel the latest in missed meetings by the all pro receiver. And then there's no more quote, according to several sources Brown showed up at Heinz field expecting to play against the Bengals that surprise several players, including one who called the situation, quote embarrassing, and quote, the worst I've ever seen that player said the entire situation and the way it was handled affected his desire to play in the game, and quote, so one if not the best receiver in the league gets into a thing with his quarterback at a walk-through throws a football. Adam is not practice. The rest of the week then shows up at the game expecting to play and things are so bad one of his teammates caused the situation embarrassing and the worst I've ever seen and that it actually affected his desire to play the game. Holy crap. That's an insane situation. Now, like, I've said you cannot count on anything in the NFL week-to-week. Nobody knows anything. I mean, it wasn't that long ago that the Steelers had the killer bees, it was not that long ago that three headed monster a Ben bell Brown, and they were killing everybody. Now bell sits out the season. Brown is chucking football's it Ben sitting out practices and being held out of a week seventeen game. And what the turmoil missing the playoffs isn't a disappointment. The fact that they managed to win nine games to me is a miracle. So the bottom line is what do you do if you're the Steelers? It's obviously not the first time. There has been some extra noise around Antonio Brown. In fact, there's been so much extra. I don't even have time to get into everything else that this guy's done. And that's only the stuff we know about don't get me wrong. If you listen to this show, you know. This has been a big AB house. I've got nothing but respect for a guy. It was a sixth round draft pick out of central Michigan. He was the one hundred and ninety fifth player taken in the draft in he has been grinding ever since he has made himself into one of the greatest receivers in NFL history. He's got an enormous personality who think about it, not just the TD's. But this guy he's got so much it. It's always interesting with this guy. Always interesting when he shows up a training camp the radio role appearances. It's cetera. Business is always booming with AB, but at the same time, there are other things other places where these would be major distractions missed meetings social media posts stories from former teammates about practices, but people put up with it. The Steelers put up with it. And why because even in a down year in a season where he missed the final game because of all this. He's still had more than one hundred receptions, nearly thirteen hundred yards and he still led the NFL in TD's. So knowing all that where do they go? Now. What are they do now because it's gone beyond mirror distractions gone beyond AB being ABC or doing AB things. Now, we're talking about a guy who literally took himself out of a game. They have playoff implications. And apparently fracturing at least part of the locker room in the process. So what do you do knee-jerk reaction? Is you trade this guy? You gotta move him. You can't bring him back. But when you get into the weeds on his contract and the salary cap implications of dealing him, it's ugly, and it's ugly for the Steelers. If they do deal him, not only will you not get value back for a future hall of Famer who everybody knows you have to move, but it's gonna kill you with the cap. So if you didn't play this guy in week seventeen because it was so toxic and trading him would be so costly what the hell. Do you do if you're the Steelers at this point? It seems to me your solution is simply hope hope you've got to hope this guy turns things around one because he's an amazing talent into because it's way too costly to move this guy, you have to hope that he and Ben can make it right? You have to hope that he and Tomlin can get on the same page. You have to hope that this guy doesn't pull a Levy on bell. You have to hope that this guy wants to come back make it right and own it. However, that's not the way it's going today. Is it not with Tomlin having his presser pink critical Antonio Brown? Posting on social at the exact same time. That's not how it feels. In the meantime, discontinues apparently now he's with James Harrison. And James Harrison apparently is going to interview Antonio on Instagram. They just announced it as I was talking on James, Harrison's, Instagram. Here we go here. I'm gonna get this closer state-owned. We listened to what we listened to right now. We to do this interview. This. So they're quote listening to what they're listening to right now. Probably Mike Tomlin presser probably all these subsequent noise around it. And now James Harrison jumping in to interview a on Instagram live..
