"We'll continue on discussion of the Brian kohlberg case. This is the suspect who has been arrested in connection with the murder of four students in Idaho. And while you were just giving us the lowdown on reports of the evidence that they have so far against them. On the digital forensics, we just talked about that, how it was just really, very, very close to the victim's home. The other thing that they also found out was that he had been in that area. It near their house at least 12 times prior to the murders. So this, again, it links him forensic digital phone forensics, link him to that house, 12 times before the murders. So that is, that is very damning evidence. Now, the reason it's circumstantial evidence and not direct evidence, they claim, is because he could say, well, that was not me in the car that was someone else in the car. With my phone. With my phone. Of course, we know that that is so far fetched, but he could say that. He could argue that. And all they have to do is cast a little doubt in the minds of the jurors, and they can do that. So anyway, the other interesting piece of evidence is the eyewitness, the eyewitness was Dylan Moore descent. She was one of the one of the residents of that house that was not murdered. Okay, so we need to lay this out. There were 6 people in the house, apparently there were three floors or two floors. I think there were three stories. Three stories. Apparently the two people who were the two girls who were at the ground floor were not killed. Before other people, too, on the first floor or the second floor. And two and a third were killed, three girls and one boy.

A sensation is covered breathlessly. Not just in the town and not just even in boston. But it's let's pick up national attention. You know described to us kelly. Why what is it. That's appealing about this trial. And what are the narratives that emerge particularly as we said they start to tilt a little bit in lizzy favor. Yeah so there's so much about this. That i think would not happen if the family were not wealthy. This was related to like as being like the titanic of its moment. What seems a little suspect me. But if you think about like the exorbitant amount of wealth and how tragedy gets connected about people sometimes have like an insatiable appetite to want to know what happens to rich people. And why and so. And so lizzie gets caught up in this now. She is supported by her community. The women's temperance group comes to her aid. They protest by her side saying that she could not have committed this crime and it really becomes sort of this. Well you can't even say a. He said she said moment because her father. And some of the can't really say you know what happens so it becomes her story versus everybody else versus the evidence of the

Like you said part of that was just like not having a big enough vision. You know in our first business product business. We were like having a bolt on products. Basically because like our industry wasn't big enough so we're trying to figure out like ways to maximize our income and our revenue and all this stuff but it was like kind of piece by piece. And i think it's partly because we just didn't pick a big enough pawn plan. We made it to number one in that pond. Too by the way like being king of the idiots feels like a really good thing like. Oh yeah it's awesome to be able to do sir valet parking so you can kind of live there forever and feel good about yourself. And we did for a long time and it's not to say that that wasn't an accomplishment. But if i described our competition to you hugh it's probably wouldn't think it was big of an accomplishment so now who's our competition. Well i drive down to austin here. I break my neck looking out my window and i can still barely read the the word indeed of above me. I get nervous when you even say in. Deeds our competition. Which is that's good or bad. I think it's a good thing honestly because it's like it's picking a fight with those guys like. Wow that's ambitious you know and maybe we will fail but if we only if we make it to the third floor and they're twenty five story building that's going to be better than where we were before honestly so the third point then is is pick a fight that has potential asymmetric returns because growing any business is really hard might as well build one that has asymmetric potential. I'll just say this too about like making a killing versus a living. This just comes down to like personal preference too. I think that there's absolutely nothing wrong with making really good living or whatever is comfortable to you traveling around being with your family whatever you wanna do. It just happens that day in. And i feel like we've figured this out like we've cracked the code and there's something more to do. Can i say something concrete about cracking the code because we have built this position of privilege where we can say things that maybe i don't know rich kids can say i'm gonna to start start of world or whatever like i wasn't in that position i was like trying to like get out of my job and if you're in that position i would just say this if.

Somebody's banging their head. And you just assume that it sensory because they don't they're non vocal there. They have a tumor. I mean like you know what i'm saying like that's that's a big job but my accountable for for automatic negative reinforcement because a lot of times people think automatically think pleasure right and unlike other negative. Here's one that you've experienced every human experience doesn't matter what your neuro type is the cy or half of frustration. Like if you've done it when no one was around then there's no social function there's done so it's automatic and everybody does it like getting. You're getting medicine behavior when you have a headache right going and getting the medicine right. You're taking medicine behavior. You don't do it because somebody says you. Better san take because it removes your headache. There's some sort of internal stimulus or pressure. That's building up. The huffy frustrations my favorite. Because it's like you feel. That pressure is kind of tighten up. Can you feel better right. You just removed something from your from your environment and your internal environment is your environment. And that's oh man that is. That is the reason why act is behavior analytic to a f ing t has Yeah yes we can't do the psychotherapy component of it but we can do the self management yes south management. Here you go. Here's your sign right here generalization of skills yourself managing it. You don't need me. My job is to work myself out of a job right. Physical therapists should not be working on your injury for life or else help them. That's their job. 'cause usually things happen to people isolated at the house. But this case you know that in my heart. My mother yelling to nabbing like natalie stopped at bang. Natalie gone grandma's not me. And i just chose his at remembering that and so but that was sort of you know i joke about it. I said that since i will say goodbye. Kill you later and But it was. It was really terrifying and one rumor at another experience and i started telling because they had never told it to me before i thought it was the same. He's like no you gone by then and in that case there were one two three four six doors. Six doorways on that Downstairs in car door on the second floor and he said it was something was banging on all of them you know. And he said it was like the most frightening thing he experienced and he experienced stuff. That house to natalie was in. We say the master bedroom room with the sun. Porch says yeah. Mom's either upstairs in the front room or in the bathroom. And i was in that bedroom still and all were started banging and i mean it. You had ten people banging on the door. You couldn't have banged as hard as fast as the knox were coming on the door and it sounded like all the doors on that landing which there were one two three four five six doors for all just banging in the ages of the hinges. It woke me up in the morning. Natalie was screaming at mile was saying nat. Don't open the door and she. I mean that's what i remember hearing banging. It's i can't describe santa's that i have my eye on this last day at it went on for good maybe ten seconds at least probably longer. That was the exact same. As i guarantee configured las had moved this but that was definitely that was definitely one of the stereo. Thanks you. You would get bags like that. Sometimes i was looking up by like i'll say Bang on the door a couple of times that time stands out because it went on like i say probably for ten seconds and went something like that is banging at your door. He successfully appealed for a new trial and was acquitted of all charges. I discussed the corruption ineptitude and basically the overall nefarious -ness of the police and prosecution when it came to his case. I mean seriously guys if there is this case doesn't make your blood boil. I don't even know what to tell you. I don't know what well it is trifling because this case is so complex with multiple ongoing arcs. We are actually going to backtrack a little bit for part three back to rest free first trial. If you recall right before russ's first trial which began on november eighteenth. Twenty thirteen police. Investigators interviewed pam multiple times. Because obviously she was the last person to see. Betsy makes sense. Police were aware of the life insurance policy change and questioned her about it a couple times. She was always immediately defensive and she ended up bringing up her mother. Shirley newman using her almost as defense as to why she had no motive for money. She then left the next day on halloween at two thirty pm a housekeeper through surely newman dead. Underneath her third-floor balcony there was damage to the railing and she had fallen to her death after two police investigations. The saint louis county medical examiner's office deemed shirley newman's death as an accident. Shirley had died from blunt trauma to the chest from the fall and the medical examiner also found point eight four micrograms of zoll padam generic ambien in her blood. That's more than eight times. What someone her age and size should be taking but still it was ruled an accident. Even though a structural engineer said that there was absolutely zero away zero way. A woman of shirley newman's weight and height could've damage the six individual pieces of railing. Pam hop was the last person to see shirley alive. We hired some movers so we lived on a third floor apartment in so with that. That's just a lot of flights of steps to many valued yet.
