"third floor" Discussed on News Radio 920 AM
"So Shortly after I had moved in, We begin to hear a muffled knocking. Coming from the attic. And so I was like, Okay, Well, maybe some critter got in or whatever. There was one window but it was a pawn of the attic floor. Which would be you know, since the third floor of the house. So I went up there to object to investigate and everything was locked up tight. Everything was secure. No critters, no animals. No, nothing. So okay. So this continued and the muffled knocking Grew to be more frequent, more intense, and then it became louder and it became the sound of if you took a imagine taking a hammer and beating on a two by four And that's that's what the sound became. That's pretty intense. It's pretty convinced. Well, it gets better, um We would hear this all hours of the day and night, mostly during the day, they were pretty considerate. The guys were the paranormal guys were there were manifesting this They would not interrupt our sleep too much. And if I did not get night, it was more the muffled, more quiet kind. But this begin to increase in frequency to the point that there would be knocking regular knocking, like somebody was driving in the mail like Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam bam, bam! And then it would Paul's and then maybe go again. And then maybe an hour or two later that same day here it would go again. And this went on for weeks and then weeks turned into months and the months turned into I believe over a period of Ah, year more. And everybody heard it. I mean, are her son heard it and the animals that lived with us? We had cats. They'd get wide eyed, bushy tailed and run and hide when the knocking started. And Grew so loud that the neighbors heard it and we have cheese. We have this delightful little restaurant bar right across the street from the house and I would walk over there get some leads to the bar and drinking. Enjoy talking with friends. And not everybody knew what I did Not everybody knew that I was a psychic and One of the neighbors came over inspired me of bark and women, said listener, You guys remodeling or something over there. I said ones, she said. I hear all this loud knocking all this loud banging coming from your house. What's going on? I said, Oh, yeah, yeah, We're we're remodeling is, she said, But so late in the evening, and I said, Well, sometimes that's the only time the guy can come if I just passed that way. The wig. It was so loud that the neighbors can hear it and there were times that I would be outside in the yard and I would hear the knocking coming from the attic outside. And, uh and I went up there several times and asked if there was any particular communication, any particular message that the spirits wanted to convey that either of us or whatever, and there never seemed to be. It was more just like you know, here we are, and And we know that you're at ease with this stuff so we can manifest on Ben Joy this form of communication if you will. And then it progressed to the point that the knocking sounded like somebody had a sledgehammer and was thinking over these and when it got that loud, I went up and there was a pile of lumber, no pile of lumber that was left up in the attic. And when they when it got that loud, I went up to the attic and the pile of lumber was moved and underneath. I'm presuming where the pile of lumber Woz There was a little lace heart. Made out of life. And laying there on the floor, and I picked that up and thank them for their gift scooted the pile of lumber back. And once I got that lace heart in my hand, the knocking stopped and never came back. What do you think that was all about? I think it was just you know, it was part of the normal regular communications. I go through with the other side. And I think the lace heart I don't know if that was left there by previous owners, or from way way way back. The house was 200 years old. Or if it was just a nap port if it just manifested, But it was like, you know, hard, always a symbol of love and compassion and friendship..

Why did you feel like gaming fits so well for New Year's Eve? Well Mitch, look Times Square New Year's Eve is probably one of the most iconic events of the year, you know with my background and and events and production. That's kind of the mecca of all events, right? It's Washed by they have over a billion Impressions every year and it's televised by stations all around the world and this year, you know, unfortunately due to the pandemic New Year's Eve in Times Square is going to look a little bit different. So so we thought that it was a great idea to partner with the folks at Jamestown and create a virtual experience, which is very interactive and and and allow this gaming generation to experience virtual New Years Eve New Year's Eve in Times Square, but virtually, it's actually kind of the way I'd rather odd experience New Year's Eve in Times Square. I've heard horror stories from attending that event on the ground that like, you can't find a bathroom or it's just like you you sort of just stuck in a line for home. The hours until the ball drops. So I've always felt like it's a vet better experienced either on my TV or virtually impossible. Listen, I don't disagree with you. How does this event look and play out on the app you are in Times Square. It is Time Square virtually. So when when you when you download the app and you register, you are an avatar and you get to walk around Times Square go into the stores a go into live concerts at the one Times Square building you jump in the elevator and you go up, you know, the second floor of the third floor and watch these live concerts and and you get to also play games. Yeah a ton of big brands on this event as well. It's like you mentioned massive Impressions on the New Year's Eve event every single year this year looking a lot different people are still going to be really excited to ring. This year in particular but they're also going to be at home. Hopefully not partying. Please don't party under usually that should go without saying our audience is smart enough to know that out so long, uh, but it feels like something that people are going to be kind of at a loss for what to do on New Year's Eve, you know, I think about all the past ones. It's usually a party of some sort and this year I won't be home. I don't know. What I'm going to do on New Year's Eve. Are you expecting to see if even higher rate of Impressions on this night than we would see in the past because of how many people are just not wrong to have plants. Well, my first opens that people are going to you know, the app is absolutely free. So, you know, you lose Nothing by trying it out and experiences. OOPS! I Screwed Up!
"It's a big podcast David Hooper here. In when I was a kid maybe fifth or sixth. Grade. Junior high. I was doing something stupid. And I got caught by a teacher wasn't just any teacher it was the principal of the school. talked my way out of it. The next day I was bragging some friends about what a smooth talker I was and what an idiot the principal was. I was in art class and we these huge tables. Maybe I don't know three or four kids at a table. And when she picks you this. The Art. Room, it was in a house. That was next to the school. My school was in urban neighborhood and I guess there was a house next to it or something they bought it run out of room. Made it offices and made it the art room. So anyway, I'm in the House for art school, but it's on the third floor. It's in the attic 'cause they did all their business downstairs it all up stairs, and you had to go up several flights of stairs. Very narrow. This was before. Ada. It wasn't easy to get to you, but it's kind of cool for a kid because you felt you were safe kind of hanging out and I got my friends they're around the Big Table and I kept going on and on that. Then, I turned around and she was right behind me at the top of the stairs you come out of nowhere because that's other thing worked imagine going into your attic and you're right there anyway a turnaround she's right there. And I taught my way out of that sort of. Not Really Fast to a couple of days ago. I got this episode of building podcasts with Dave Jackson that are released and always download my own episodes I. Subscribe to my own podcast because I want to make sure the feed is working sometimes I listen sometimes I don't happen to listen to this one and I'm hearing sloppy edits. Thought to myself that's Weird I. Guess I decided to keep things loose. Talk and things like filler words. Apart when I asked David question wasn't clear on it or stumbled or something. I asked him the question again normally, I would add those things out and thinking to myself man sloppy edits then interview ins and Dave and I keep talking and that was my ocean moment. I knew at that point this is the raw tape. I think what had happened is I was in the middle of netted got distracted by something else. I should have gone back to it. I didn't. It seems like an easy thing to remember. But because this was a three part episode, it's got confused in way back to the tape I'm listening to. The interview ends. Dave. Keep talking and I think to myself I. Hope. I. Didn't say anything bad. And I didn't. Just. A word that I'd normally be out I said. And then Dave said. And also said mother And then I said. And then I said I think. Is a mother. and. I'm kidding but I did say which on this podcast should have been beeped. Because this podcast is classy like that. Lesson number one from this episode. Assume all Mike's are hot. The message is being broadcast and everything you say is on tape. But there was a second mistake that I made in that episode to completely screw up the sequence of things. You probably heard something that I call the double intro. This is pretty common. Where somebody does an interview? And introduced the guest. Hey, we got Joe Schmo from Blah Blah Blah dot com. He's a good friend of mine and today we're GonNa talk about Blah Blah Blah, welcome Joe, you got that introduction. But before that, you got the basic intro to the podcast where somebody will come in and they'll say something like, Hey, I'm David Hooper and this is the Joe Schmo Blah Blah Blah podcast. Today we're actually interviewing Joe Schmo he's the king of Blah Blah Blah and JOE SCHMO DOT com. Here's the interview you. You're a sound effect and then it goes to that previous recording that I just mentioned hey, it's David. So you repeat the same thing that's the double intro, and it happens usually because people are doing things at a different time. That is exactly what happened with the Dave Jackson episode. Not only was I doing something at a different time. It caused me to lose track of where I was in the editing process because this was a three part episode I had an introduction episode I had the Dave Jackson part of the episode and I had the Larry Roberts part of the episode things got really screwed up for this three part series a record, the Larry I then I did the one with Dave and then I did the intro episode but how release things how you heard them With, you heard the intro episode. You heard the Dave episode. Then you heard the Larry episode. So instead of one, two, three, it was three to one and that's not a huge deal except that I mentioned something on the Dave episode. which you hadn't heard yet I talked about what had already happened on the Larry episode that hadn't been released yet. Another one of those things it's not a huge deal, but it's worth talking about because when something like that happens, it breaks up the fantasy. That the podcast or radio show whatever you're making is a well oiled machine. It's like you hearing question being repeated again. When you edit that out, it makes the Ho- seems so much smoother. You like man that Guy's great on the Mike he knows exactly what to ask. Not In real life. If you heard the mistake that caricature that you think is real that's blown. As lesson number two here. Sequencing is important.
"third floor" Discussed on ScreamQueenz: Where Horror Gets GAY!
"I wonder too and when it's not just the story when it's bad. Yeah. Photography Yeah. On top of that, Click Line Click Line Click line clicking lots of things that didn't need to be there. We didn't really need that bartender guy if he had pastor lady just right Well I think to maybe I, don't know you know too much about the second movie that they're doing together but I think maybe if it's not written directed and produced by Travis Stevens were there's maybe maybe someone else takes a takes riders pass at it you know and gets. Any Jacks instead of marbles. Anytime you have shaken up to. Yes. The curses lifted you've picked up to. But I think anytime you have writer director producer. You're you're running risk because all your eggs in that one vision basket I am at any time i. see that go really good a really where. There's no middle ground when there's someone with that much I overall I did like it for the conversations. It had I liked it for the I did like the press that they did for it. I felt that they did a lot of press on a lot of horror places and I felt that that was really great listening to all the interviews. Evidently the house is supposed to actually be haunted if you believe in that or not and growing up in that area that was always the creepy house like it always had like creepy dogs on the porch that would bark. It was just a creepy off sparking what where yeah right. Is this on the big brother Mike Chicago tour. Yes, shameless house in the say, he loves the Shameless House. I know them actually when the Frankfurt Fest came this year my it's my parents actually went and took a picture at the house and sent it to me because that houses just like. On the main road. On the end of the block, it's a house that everyone in the area knows is kind of haunted. But again, if you're from that area, it reads a little the the the whole movie reads a little differently because you already have smack feelings the feelings about this house. Right, you have a little bit more backstory and like I said, I, Love the press they did I love the fact that it's so Chicago I. Love the I love the fact that it premiere that the L. A. Premiere was at beyond fast and I had such a wonderful a wonderful experience there with Travis, the director and Punk, and all the other actors who were out there. They did Monster Palooza of. In Pasadena here in La and Travis was actually really great and made sure that I got into that as A. Person here on the West Coast who is doing a lot of re tweeting so I will always always suppose. I am a little bit of an influencers. Slash Stalker. If that influence. Yeah influencers sounds a lot better but I loved what they did. I love the stories that everything that I have from this movie I. Remember when. When it was coming out on Vod, which is what we do for a living. I triple check to make sure everything was good. Good dark sky films that distributed it. They're based in Orland Park, which is also in the Chicago suburbs right by my parents so. It's a very Chicago movie. I love it I can't wait to see what else they do. And I and I love the conversations because Brian I like why did that happen? What is this representing? What is this what is that but not everyone have you feel about the conversations? Other. Okay. He doesn't like a year and a half later. For. Me Like certain things. Run out. Yeah. I get that. I was supposed I was supposed to go see this at the Brooklyn horror film vessels. And I was job was in the midst of The P-. Part of on. Yes, the second wave of the pilot on my after the first one got fucked up, and I was just under so much stress I was on the subway and started getting chest pains so I just went home. Rightly. Perhaps I had been there I've sat next to see him punk or maybe in his lap. Time my opinion would be different but now. He he I will say he was. Always, say. You can't. Help. To tell to tell a little story because I mean, really just watched this movie just watch it. You'll get your opinions on it. We've talked the conversation join the conversation, but my seon POKES JORDAN Please don't involve. The birthday present done. Instagram me I'll be more than happy to talk about it but at beyond fest. I there were a lot of people that were just there for San Punk red. They wanted to be there for punk. They were wrestling fans and that's fine by a ticket. Do what you WANNA do Butts in the seats never put spots in the seats. But I will say that even though I'm a wrestling fan I, don't like to present myself to. If you're there as an actor, I don't want to present myself as a wrestling fan. Or if you're a musician that's also an actor I'm not gonNA. Wear your band t shirt. Do you know what I mean because you're there as a after not a musician? The band t shirt to the concert right I guess I should say that right I'm not that person and I will say. I'm too cool for that but I will say that it's too on the nose. Yeah it's a little too. We know you're fan you're out of here. I'm here I bought a ticket. We already flagged you're coming out fuck. Attorney. Security. Security that's what I was telling you about. That's the one ever. KNOCKS VIP we just need to keep an Lock, the door young keep her quiet. But he he was very nice to all the wrestling fans that were there wanting him to sign wrestling stuff in wearing his t shirts. When I walked up to him. And he'll never remember this but it made day because he came up to me and he goes, Hey, you made it. Like he like he recognized me and. It was great. It many feel awesome. He talked a little bit. He actually said he was nervous about it and I asked him why are you nervous and he said, well, because April April's his wife April hasn't seen it yet and their sex scenes in this and I was like Dude, I'm sure you're going to be fine. Don't worry and he's have well will was though. Yeah was there though I beg to say no not. With a ghost you know but even the way it's shot, you never see the bodies together. It's a face to face to face to face. Side Shot. Booth here's an. Here's an overhead shot. headshot where she's writing. Those little gross for. I guess he was choose riding a little weird that you brevard come over that real quick. But he. He said hold on I've got time stand right here. I got it saved on my now. But he he was very humble. "The ghost girl, one of the two girls is walking around humming. She's not having a random song. She's humming maybe this time. I'll be lucky. Maybe this time I'll win wages from the movie version of Cabaret, which was the song was written in nineteen sixty six did not come out as a pop hit until nineteen, seventy two. So you're insinuating, ghosts can't learn new music. But you need to sell. We already see the ghosts can learn new fashion but yeah, because that's the other thing those girl not only can become she's not even. Able to become corporeal to pack to the point where she's fucking Yes. But she's got a rotating set of clothes. But then when I realized nine, hundred, seventy, two, the clothes that she switching into could pass. For nineteen seventy-two except in the flashback scene, you guys like Handlebar Moustache took nine, hundred, forty, one, thousand, nine, hundred, ninety confusing can pick a time you need to be split. You need to be specific with the sort of stuff. I. Always. Storytelling does it work assumed that she was picking up things from other men that lived in the house and what they found attractive 'cause I also saw some of the outfits like one of the. Ones near the end of the movie as much more of an eighties outfit. So I was like, okay that's probably from a man from the eighties that she encountered. But of course, she has this revolving like outfits of what men have found sexy over the years that she's encountered. And I think one of the best me like like Rachel. Own. In comics is called no prising where you figure out a something that's not stated in the Tax Jeff. Just wasn't clear and a formula. Something specific for you to figure things out for, and it's just not were a lot of things that Brian and I talked about after that I. When we love this movie premiere, we had so many questions because I I was like, what did I just watch? There's so much here but not a lot of explanation where it gives it to me which I can appreciate to a certain extent. And Brian and I would walk in. The House I go does the house exacerbate his badness right because the house feed the house can become better we learn from the pastor who lives across the street that the house can kind of become better or worse based upon who's living there. So the house kind of fees off it but then does he feed off the house is like a vicious cycle where if you have tendencies to be a bad person even if you're trying to be and this is where my love of PUNK as a person, I had a very hard time finding his character unlikeable just become. Like because I like him so much and I think a character coming into it who is trying to do better You're starting out with a character who is trying do better even though he aft- up in the past, he's trying to do better and in my mind I'm like Oh while the house kind of understands that he's kind of a bad guy. So we're going to manifest these things that we know are going to kind of entrap him and bring out that badness again now would that have happened if this house wasn't literally like putting sexy ghosts in front offended bang. And I don't really him as somebody who's actually trying to do better. The wife asks the after everything's all over sort of. Appreciated crush. Test. and. Yeah Yeah. So dances your question right there but this is I don't understand what the test is and I don't know what it's for the House wants it's very strange. Whose hunting what what do they want like? Yeah. Just like even the murders that happened in the past wondering. Why are you haunting other people? Not the person who killed none of it right? It doesn't track for me of it. and. I want to say what? Was the point where he went to the bowling alley. Yes. I kind of think I know where you're going. And the bartender was so are you gay and he's a quousque very offended. And he says the Burton's like not the. Straight people trip men don't do well and. There is not a gay man on the planet. Of that. Back even on a planet. Put up with any of that Shit. Who paid a room pink fuck you. What are you implying? Valid. Color especially in an Old Lady House, which was. Lady House. Oh. My Gosh I it was. It was to drippy for an old lady houses I. Don't know why what is. The mood should on. The House the gist. The House. The pooped marples. Marbles did shoot marbles which apparently were delicious because everybody. But Hey, only see a punk and the dog the dog that one. You're the one that has to shit it out later. I do I do want to say that the number? I. Think that there was kind of a weird mix too of trying to make a movie but also rap in history because those murders actually really happened in that House that the house used to be a brothel those those murders actually happened. So I, think it's kind of a it was kind of a weird mix of trying to have the history of the. House really. Make this. Story around. A fan of too much back story but this needed a little more back. At least one pump went to the library and look shit up on microfiche collect avenue. And I think the biggest. They haven't digitized records. Yeah. I think the biggest miss was one character. I really liked was the pastor character. And I've really thought woman who didn't have name until the movie was almost over yeah. I really Passarelli Pastor Ellie I really think that has really wasn't that an artist and Italian artists. Tell, pastry. Dessert thought it was something that craft is marketing. Pastor really. I thought that there. What I thought was going to happen didn't happen. I thought there was going to be much more of like a good versus evil play with like the church right across the street the pastor not wanting to come in like I. Thought you were going to find out that this pastor wasn't real either and the pastor is like you know the good you know what? I mean like other pastors bearing booze. I thought that you were gonNA cause the pastor would not come in the house. When They WanNa, commend you know let's let's sit outside I thought you were going to like have a good versus evil like you were going to find out the pastor wasn't real either and the pastor was a manifestation of the good people who have lived in that house who no longer live there and I'm not going I. Don't know I thought I. Felt that there could have been more of a play with with that a little bit like good versus evil. There's a lot of like what you're saying to A. Valid point I didn't get. The fact. that. She and punks character is supposed to be bed. Until, it's revealed much lately an Info Dump. That happens really late in the movie that I think is supposed to be shocking but all it did was irritated me I'm like he didn't give me any hint of that. They did when they had the other guy came I know but you need that throughout the movie, you need a little shades of that. Let's what I'm saying that's what I'm saying more but there's no shading Eric my and things are just very a flat you. Have a couple of scenes or like he's jogging and he's looking back at the other woman jogger that passes him but human human. Yeah, I did I get that I didn't like I said, it was very hard for me to read his character as a bad guy until he starts trying to kill people but I, didn't I didn't.

"To do because he has literally nobody to work with. Almost, ever right. Except the dog sometimes the dog and for a couple of. The dog that he insists every time I. Go Doug. Dr The whole movie. There's not. The into those scenes where he is by himself, there isn't that much dialogue. It's it's him working or jogging or whatever. There's there's not that much dialogue and what I think is interesting is he's trying to take on this house remodel but is no idea what he's doing like he's youtube ing it s he's doing this. So I mean my favorite thing was when you're watching it, you said. What his drill runs energy you're like you just bought that thing of course, you need to charge idiot this guy doesn't know what he's doing, but that was the point. He was working on the house in slippers that safe. At. One point he was barefoot. Yeah Barefoot is welcomed. In Kathy's a t shirt and a button down. Okay. We're going to get the whole wardrobe I've ever seen. I'd say not. Be. Grossed. Boxer briefs and he packing. You. You back to me. He's you know I did like this I did like that they did try to flip it a little bit because usually it's the woman in the movies that are walking around their underwears or half nude and I kind of as Ellen. No boobs Alison. You of all people brought me a Newbie. I. Would. You. Prefer CNN punk in boxer briefs over boobs in horror, and you could never come at me about boobs again. Provide groups. At a time of crisis like this. Global crisis and there's no boobs. You see a little bit of side boot. You see some side Boop boop does not count. We established that already have you have. You stay on. This episode I have. Problems with the movie. Because I said I watch again last night. Yeah. It's all direct. Flat as a pancake. There's no escalation A. And under put that on the director just because a lot of the movie is working by himself and I know what they're going for. Kids in home if you've seen house of Devil. You'll know what I'm talking about house. The devil is a movie fantastic West movie about a babysitter imperil. She's in his Spooky House almost all of the movie is her walking around exploring. Spooky House. But it's tense. Because you're learning things about the house of the story things happening feel like she's being watched. There's nothing happening you literally just watching him do work all the time and be a terrible person. Really terrible person but. Again, not his fault. He's not reacting the things that the movie is presenting him and I'm saying that's editing. Like for instance, the House starts. At eight yeah. Yeah. There's no escalation starting immediately. They're trying to go with this whole sexual tone and it worked for a little bit but it started knowing me because he wasn't reacting to anything that he's saying. All the sockets in the house are using. Slime and. Various. Fixtures. Everything's dripping like an orifice like a sexually excited orifice. But he never response to that like there's a whole scene with the him dealing with that black shit coming out of the warm going you're bringing pregnant woman into this House that has black mold. Yeah. He's just touching. He puts his hand literally three drywall with it like why would you touch it? But there's no escalation never see him getting increasingly irritated by things coming out of the water seeing reacting to any of it, and that's not his fault. It's just not there right. And, that's why there's no suspense to thing. The first half of movie is something to happen right and then it does go that the last act I mean. Really. goes off the rails a little bit when you go into like we'll get into it but I thought that Third Act went from to your point kind of went from like a to till like a nine really say. Here's another. Here's another thing that confuse me. Okay. The whole thing that the flashback sort of haunting thing when do you think that happened? I'm asking a question. What do you think happened? I mean olden times. When did you think the two murders happen I thought it was like. Early nineteen hundreds. Yeah. You would think that. except. That at a certain point. The ghost girl, one of the two girls is walking around humming. She's not having a random song. She's humming maybe this time. I'll be lucky maybe this time I'll win wages from the movie version of Cabaret, which was the song was written in nineteen sixty six did not come out as a pop hit until nineteen, seventy two. "Years after I took the monastic vows trading all my worldly possessions for a pair of monk's robes I moved into a monastery that was off the grid remote and blissfully quiet one day. My friend Kim sent me a letter saying timber I. Understand why you love living there I mean who wouldn't but how can you honor your vows to be of service to others if you cut yourself off from the rest of the world and keep yourself tucked away in the mountain somewhere Kim didn't point out my hypocrisy because she's cruel or judgmental. She did it to shed light on what I couldn't see from where I was sitting that. My actions were not congruent with my words. There was no reason for me to get defensive because Kim wasn't on the offensive and fact Kim's comment had nothing to do with her personal needs or opinions it was about me saying one thing and doing another don't get me wrong I don't regret moving to the monastery in the first place. But after Kim's intervention, a couldn't justify staying envy see non violent communication considers unsolicited advice a form of bullying and judgment but Kim's comment wasn't unsolicited I have an understanding with all my friends that being supportive of one. Another does not mean blindly cheering each other on, for instance, if any of. US are about to repeat a harmful cycle that we swore. We wanted to break the drinking to excess getting into another dysfunctional relationship or deviating from a path. We have previously claimed we wished to follow we welcome intervention I. Mean I wouldn't tell my buddy John to stop smoking because never claimed he wanted to stop but I would definitely urge my friend Ashley to spend less money if she had previously told me that getting out of debt was her top priority. You see it's not about pushing my opinions on anyone. It's about supporting their decisions regardless of what I think and Buddhism we take refuge and what are called the three. Jewels, the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha the teacher, the teachings and other students on the path. My friends are my Sanga or my congregation if you prefer, and since you are my friend in your on this path with me, this month's intervention is similar to what Kim offered me many years ago. It's an invitation to reflect on areas in our lives where we are being hypocrites areas where we are not behaving in ways that are congruent with who we wish to be, and sometimes we even publicly claimed to be. We aren't always honest with ourselves because we often have too much shame or guilt around the decisions we make other. Times we are oblivious that we are out of alignment today. I urge you not to look back on your past behavior and wonder why you've done what you've done before but to decide how you can live from this moment forward. So that what you think what you say and what you do are all in harmony I warn you though something's going to have to shift to because you will either have to change what you think what you say or what you do before. You can live a congruent life and other words do your decisions reflect your values peck? Do you even know what your values are many of us never take? The time to write them down. For example, do we actually value being considerate or do we just like to think of ourselves as considerate neighbors even though we regularly run the dishwasher at one am in our third floor apartment with no consideration to our downstairs neighbors these little things make a big difference because the way we do one thing is the way we do all things. So let's do it all mindfully congruence consistency and transparency require us to be vulnerable and honest with ourselves about our strengths and our shortcomings. So go ahead and write down the kind of person you wish to be as well as the kind of person you. But does not make you a chicken. What we're talking about is having a strong conviction to live in line with our values so that we stay in our integrity and avoid all unnecessary suffering or battling with internal struggles. The people we consider enlightened are just like you and me they simply make enlightened activity part of their daily lives that is to say they walk the talk I think it's why my own teachers asked me one day.
