Air Force will review cancer among personnel who worked close to nation's ground-based warheads

"The air force is expanding its review of cancers among the nation's nuclear missile personnel. They're called missileers, the airmen who launch nuclear warheads from underground silos and command centers. Space Force reported last month 9 officers who worked as missiles at a Montana air base were diagnosed with non Hodgkin lymphoma. Since then, more missiles and support crew have said they too had been diagnosed with the same or other types of cancers. The air force will now review the entire ground based nuclear missile corps at three bases in Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming to include environmental factors at the bases and silos. "third base" Discussed on Bloomberg Radio New York

"Star expected to move to third base next to good friend Francisco Lindor. This off season this is staggering yet. The mets have committed over $800 million in guaranteed salary. We'll have a payroll of at least $384 million. New York's can also have a taxable over a $100 million as well driving total payroll over 500 million. Speaking of the Yankees, they've introduced reigning American League MVP Aaron judge back to The Bronx also naming him the 16th captain in franchise history. I'm Dan schwarzman that your Bloomberg world sports update, Brian. All right, thanks very much Dan, the time 16 minutes before the top of the hour let's welcome to the airwaves of Vincent Cigna, Bloomberg macro strategist with us. So a lot to consider here. We've had some earnings that are kind of all over the map on disappointing from micron, but very solid from Nike and FedEx just here in the last 24 hours. We had consumer confidence jumping the highest level in 8 months, and yet we had U.S. existing home sales weakening further. So obviously it's pretty topsy turvy out there. Vince, do you look at it from a bullish standpoint or a bearish standpoint? I think it's quite Polish, actually. When you look at Nike and FedEx, that speaks to the consumer doing well, although by the end of the week, we're going to get some retail sales personal income personal spending data. They're all projected to decline. So going into next quarter, I'm not so sure the consumer is going to be that healthy. We are obviously in the holiday buying season. So that purchase things up a little bit. Micron chips revenue going down, they very well speak to the supply chain shortages, not so short anymore. And that people have businesses have bought what they needed or supplied with they needed that inventory levels in the chip space are decent. And that's not driving up prices and earnings as much. And from the existing home sales standpoint, we've just seen that housing data for months now. And that's obviously due to the fed raising interest rates. That's no surprise. And it's beginning to end its way through other areas. I thought the most interesting thing I read and this was about a week ago was the Philly shed put out a report that said, their jobs data shows that we only gained about 10,000 jobs this year, where the BLS says it's over a million. And they claim their data is superior. And at some point, the fed one hand is talking that jobs are tight. And here's the Philly fed saying, not so much. I'm kind of going with the Philly fed on this one, as opposed to the BLS. Well, you would have thought they wouldn't be because the Philly fed is good to be, of course, by the federal banking system. And if you don't trust your own guys, then who are you going to address? And so you become data dependent. And the question then becomes what data are you dependent on? Yeah, and I'm not so sure I kind of likened it to someone joking around a trader's today. We're talking. It's like the Indiana Jones movie when they said they're digging in the wrong place. You know, they're looking at the wrong data, perhaps. And when they say they want to stay higher for longer, it's because they're looking for the data from the BLS when their own internal data says opposite. And I fully expect that they're going to be pivoting way sooner than they think. And I'll probably lose another dinner bet, but I would have February. They do nothing. And not raise at all. I'm curious about what some of the unintended consequences might be of all this. You have yields moving higher. Now, I think from your point of view, you probably see yields moving down from here because you think that higher interest rates are straggling or strangling the economy. But with rates higher and people having gone through such a long period with low rates and all the things you do, you know, to sort of make up your returns during that, a lot of that now is facing wholesale change. Are you seeing anything that you're concerned about here that would fall under the category of unintended consequences? Well, I mean, the biggest unintended consequence is that the Ted pushes us into a recession. And I'm kind of in the camp that they will. I mean, there's a serious credibility question that comes in with the fed. I think they're overly concerned that they lost their credibility with the transitory story. As one trader put it to me and I thought he was quite listening to that they are more concerned with their grandchildren are going to read about them that they are not the Arthur burns of the 21st century. And that pushing the economy into a recession is a small price to pay. They're not looking at the data quite frankly. I mean, they just are not. The data is very, very, very clear that the economy is rolling over. And that the global economy is wrong. And I think they're going to see that in the first quarter of next year. And I think that's going to speak well for us. But Vince, I mean, you started off our conversation by saying you're bullish. How can you be bullish if you think that we're heading in the wrong direction? Well, I'm bullish. I think I'm bullish for the year of 2023. I think both guys are going to see the I think they're going to see

Why Is Starbucks Launching a Web3-Based Loyalty Program?

"We have an interview. We have a special guest. Stemming from a conversation that we had yesterday and I'm going to introduce our guest and let's do this thing. All right, so we were talking about the Starbucks rewards program making the transition over to web three based on polygon, new way to incentivize user loyalty and engagement, joining us today to talk about that and his new venture is Adam brotman. He was formally the head of digital, actually check that the chief digital officer at Starbucks and is now a co CEO and founder of forum three, which is in the news today with a fresh race. Adam, thanks for being here. How are you? I'm glad to be here. How are you? We're doing well. We're doing well. You're all over the place on coin desk recently. You're featured in our most influential package. We're talking about the rollout of the Starbucks program yesterday. And now you're here, fresh on the heels of a 10 million round led by deka sonic and including participation from polygon ventures and others. So congrats on that. I wanted to start on the Starbucks thing. It was real talker for S yesterday. And I wanted to pose the question to you. Why does this need to be on the blockchain? What are the advantages of making this more web three friendly? That's a great question. It's exciting to be with you guys and talk about it. So the answer of why blockchain stems from the idea that these are digital collectibles, these stamps that you're going to be able to earn and at times buy and sell as part of the Odyssey program, their digital collectibles, and you are going to own them. And if you think about loyalty programs today, you earn points, maybe even there's certain games like Starbucks for life or McDonald's, monopoly, and other things that you've all played that you can earn badges or stickers. But you don't really own your points. And you don't really think about why would you want to own your points. But blockchain, digital collectible is there's this opportunity to not only be rewarded for engaging with the brand in the form of loyalty, but instead of just getting points, you can earn points and these digital collectibles and the digital collectibles can be redeemed for rewards. They can be collected because they can have their own fun, intrinsic value, or rarity, and they can also be programmed to. And you can form community around them.

Man in the box? Man in the box. Okay. Yes, Pauly. I actually read a story just a month ago bought their lead singer passed away a long time ago. Laying staley. That is a dark dude. I have a story here today that I had not I don't remember this. Happened in 1987 in double-A baseball. The catcher Dave bresnahan played in Williamsport. And he attempted to trick an opposing base runner off third base using a potato carved to look like a baseball. The umpire called the runners safe and bresnahan was fined $50 and released by the team. So he had a potato that he carved to look like a baseball. 1990, Ken griffey and Ken griffey. Oh, this is what you do, Pauly, I'm sorry. This day in sports history. Yeah, go for it. It was this day in sports history that that happened with the catcher, also 1990, Ken griffey junior and senior, the first father and son to play on the same team. They had back to back singles in the first inning. This day in sports history, Paulie. There was a potato hidden potato trick and minor league baseball. Rocky Marciano in 1969 died in an airplane crash in Iowa. Sandy Koufax in 1959 struck out 18 batters in a game. Do you know that he struck out ten after the 6th inning? Ten ten of the 18 he struck out after the 6th that I did not know that, okay? Gil Hodges of the Brooklyn Dodgers hit four home runs in a single game a four different pitchers. Okay. That's it. David klingler, 1991. Set an NCAA record with 6 touchdown passes in the second quarter. He did it against Louisiana attack. David klingler had 6 touchdown passes in the second quarter and Houston hung on to win 73 to three. Andy and Iowa, hi Andy, what's on your mind today? Hey, Dan. 6 one one 95. I've got a good pine a bit taste bit for princey. You do a Mercedes read every day. And I don't think there's any way he can get all the way through that read without his speech impediment coming up. Okay. Do you want to hand this? I'll give you the read here, Pauly. It's the 1125 read there, see if fritzi can read this. And it's not a speech impediment. I think it's just a tick that Todd has. All right, so Todd's going to read the this is a pie to the face, by the way, Andy and Iowa will take a pie to the face if fritzi gets through this without. And I have to read this quickly or just regular pay, so. Well, you know, I read it with a little bit of pace there. Okay, here we go. Take a video and send it into us, okay? We'll do. All right, that's how it works here. Yeah, Willy Wonka. Yeah. How do you feel? I feel good about that. Okay. I was concerned as I saw those words coming up with sometimes exceptions. I feel super out of the corner of my eye. I was reading the end of the previous sentence. Super. I feel super. Drake in Florida, I Drake, what's on your mind? You guys keep going out this trying to get this convoy to Ireland. And there's more guests that's always there that you guys always talk to. These Irish, what about verity and balance? Sure. I mean, if David ferric would like to come with us, he's buying, by the way. He is? Faraday's buying the drinks. Now on the live chore. Yeah, it's on him. He's making some money. Joe and Ohio, hi Joe, what's on your mind? Hi, Dan. I just want to, you know, that I have a source who knows a source that's in the building with sources that say Trey Lance is struggling. And part of the reason that Jimmy G was brought back is because there's some whispers in the building. Celebrity journalist flow Anthony who claims to have spoken to a source with knowledge from someone close to wood says Tiger is struggling. All right, Joe, well, thank you. That's not a surprise as I said when the news came out that Jimmy G was going to stay there at the veterans probably look at this and go, we got a chance to be a Super Bowl team. And who gives us a better chance, and they might look at Jimmy G because they've been there before with him. And I would have kept Jimmy G said that from the beginning. But you know, it's not my money, but I would have kept him because and I would have started him instead of Trey Lance. It just feels like okay, we went all in on this draft and now we can get rid of Jimmy G and we'll turn it over to Trey Lance. It's just not that easy. Where you go, okay, Trey go out there and maybe he's going to be magical. But I think he's going to be really inconsistent. He'll have really high highs and probably some really low lows. And that's normal at that position. And factor in his age and inexperience, it's certainly going to happen. Robert in North Carolina, hey Robert. Good morning, Dan, and Dan. I got a Darius Rucker stat of the day for you. Let's see if we can get that one for you. Nope, nope, nope. No, Darius Rucker music, Mark.

Cop Charged With Felony Battery for Grabbing Female Officer by Throat

"Another thing I want to touch on is this police getting charged. I spoke about it before, but I just made a video on my YouTube about it. The police officer out there in Florida who was on video yelling at a subject in the back of a patrol car, then a female officer grabbed him by the belt, pulled him, and then he turned around and pushed her, his hand, grazed her neck, and all the reports were saying he choked her, I just, I'm having a problem finding that that makes sense to charge the sergeant with pushing an officer after the officer pulled him and almost made him fall over because of she perceived that he went too far. When there is no law against what the sergeant did, he didn't touch the guy, all he had was harsh words. That's not against the law to have harsh words for somebody. It's not a violated violation of somebody, somebody's constitutional rights, if they're under arrest and a person has harsh words for them. And say, if you hurt any one of my officers, I'm going to take your soul. It's pretty much what he said. That's not against the law to say that. Somebody may believe that it's improper. But as a officer with three years on a police department, you go and grab your sergeant and pull him in, almost make him fall on the ground. To me, you are out of bounds. If the man, if the officer was assaulting this guy, then I have a different tune. But nobody touched his officership, you, you ran from third base to the home plate just to pull his officer pull his sergeant out of the back of that patrol car. But when the sergeant wasn't there, you wouldn't even touch the suspect to get him in the car. But you're willing to grab the police, your police sergeant but you won't touch the suspect.

"Yes, that's why I think so. I well, I don't know the reasoning other than that's what it said on on the website, And I thought, Oh, well, I gotta make sure so we measured him. Yeah, and he just barely. He didn't grow within that from Friday to Sunday, but it is kind of a weird thing. I agree whether it's because Mm. Agent there with Are they there with tape measures Measuring kids? No, they didn't do that. Thank goodness. But I didn't realize is there is a whole special gates that Parents with diaper bags need to go through that I didn't know. So I went through the wrong gate, and luckily they had one more little like those bracelets that you get it clubs. They have that that's a diaper bag on it. So they put that on it. Um, And then he said, Well, the next one that comes through I got to send to the different gate and I go. Oh, okay. Poor thing. Yeah. Oh, my gosh, is it Is it a quicker line? That's all I care about? Oh, yeah, I'm not sure because it was all on the other side of the stadium. I'd like to go across the I like to go across the skyway and then take it down by the little statues on the right side of the stadium, and we went in there, But, yeah, that seems kind of weird. Kenny, you had the good seats right from We well know not from the station. We actually are. Friends have season tickets, and they gave them to us, which was really nice. Well, don't tell me you were sitting out with the poppers out in steering. That's where I usually I'm Kenny. But this time with the first ring there we were in a section 1 14 row. 17 What is that first base? Third base right behind home plate. Oh, nice. Yeah, we had a really nice seats. Oh, bingo. And the other thing that I realized, too, is that from 17 and higher as you kind of, you know, go toward where the concessions are. That's the prime spot because you have shade. That was a big difference. Yeah, so that was really good. And then the game itself was awesome. So it was boring until the seventh inning, and then finally the Tigers. They play the Tigers. They was like 4 to 0. We thought all this game we're done. We're done, right? And then and then it was just like then a grand slam. So then it was 5 to 4. So we were winning. And then they score. Then they tied it up. And then by the end of it, we had to go into over, like extra innings we had left by then because he had already passed out. And you know that wasn't you know really fun by then. But yeah, but then the twins pulled through. So twins win. Which was great. I'm like, What are people are shooting off fireworks. In that degree, I'm trying to take the dog out. And I'm like, who has that kind of stash? And then this is going on for 20 minutes. This has got me. Oh, my God. We had the twins shoot off fireworks on certain Fridays, but you're a good fan, right? You stay in your seat and watch the game. It's not a social affair for you. You're a fan. I sit and watch the game. Yes, and what was great around about everyone around? This, where the seats were in particular is that they're all season ticket holders, and they're the same way. So it's really fun. We're talking about the different players and who they played both before and what the other games were like and So that was really fun. The only thing is having a 1.5 year old with you kind of cramps, the style God gets in the way it, doesn't it. He really does. He wanted to run all around and up and down, And he's just not quite big enough yet. You know, you've got to make a deal with on Hill. You go to baseball games alone, and then he goes to basketball games alone. It'll work out perfectly. Yeah, I think that that's probably the answer. So I agree, Kenny But yeah, it was super fun. Oh, the other thing, too. Just as if you have a kid or maybe of a family or friend who is coming to a twins game. It's their first time at guest services. They have first game certificates. So you can get. It's just a cute little Yeah. Piece of paper that has, like the picture of the stadium. You can write in the game date and whatever itself did that present. Yeah, I did that for a second. Yeah, I don't know. I'm not scrapbooking or anything. I just put it in a pile of stuff at this point, his little shadow box or like a little box of stuff, but it was just kind of fun to And it's free. So just Yeah. You know, if you're looking for that, you've got something for free. I know. Can you believe it? The ball caps for them for the kids. I thought. Oh, this is great. Let's go get him a balk at which we ended up doing because it was just kind of a fun thing. And we couldn't find one before. Let me guess. Let me guess. Okay, Guess how much $39 close. Oh, 29 is $26. Wow. Yeah, tiny little kid for a tiny little cat, But we got the kid one. So we crank the back, so it's like there's like no space on the back, so he's going to grow into it. Hopefully you can wear it for a few years. They had, like my first twins hat, but it was like a toddler sides. And you know, like he won't fit in that tomorrow, so right. Anyway, There you go, Go twins. It was really fun. I felt like a kid Just like walking in the excitement. Just, uh it was really fun. So You can get out to a twins game. Go for it. When we come back. We have the longest string cheese and recipes with three ingredients or less love that it's next. My talk 171. It's.

"Early Reds lead one Nothing over the Braves. The strength of Jesse Winker is long home run to right center field with No. One on base and Luis Castillo. On the mound now for the third inning. Is rush along with Tommy thrall here this afternoon. A big crowd again at this ballpark in May Eclipse what we had last night, Tom. He had 30,321 in the ball park yesterday. And all these seats, even the upper bowl. That's the thing you look around the ballpark. You can usually get a pretty good feel for what the crowds like by looking in the upper reaches the upper deck, and I mean there, folks wedged all the way into the top corners. Great to see this place filled up. Wonderful sight. Now the pitchers body and Anderson will come up number nine. In the order, Castillo was able to retire the number eight hitter. Under Inciarte. So you started off with the pitcher. That's always a good thing, but he misses his first pitch inside Ball one. Beautiful sons Last day here at Great American Ballpark. Breezy Strike one on the outside corner. Playing Anderson very shallow. Even wicker in left field. Playing way in swing, and I'm missing a breaking ball missed it by a mile. Castillo working quickly ready to go again. Swinging and missing a change up. So the steel second strikeout of the day. And it easy out here to start the third inning. And Allah lineup turns over and it is anything but easy when you've got Ronald Acuna Jr. Freeman, Ozzy Albee's Austin Riley. All in a row. Very top heavy. Atlanta Braves lineup. Although recently Lot of Acuna Jr has been a rather deep slump. Okay? Inside Ball one. He is three for his last 23. That is At around 1, 30 Mark And one pitch inside again. Back to back inside changeups trying to get a coon your way out in front. He was banged up for a couple of days, too Bothered by that back For four last night. Here is the two Oh, swung on and fouled into the Braves dugout. Yeah, that's a nice little murmur in the crowd today tight ballgame. So many Reds fans coming out to watch this ball club swung on and hit but foul down the right field line man drifting actually into the second deck. Nice catch down there. I think a lot of Reds fans have really enjoyed watching this team play this year. They play with a lot of enthusiasm. They play hard. Here's the two to fastball just misses inside. I thought last year as was standing up to start his strikeout call, but it ended up being ball three. It really looked like he was tempted to punch him out. All as make sure that right arm works. Here's the three to Swung on and hit into the left center field gap. There goes Winker in the corner gap. No cannot make the catch. The ball will go all the way to the wall and Acuna. We'll cruise in the second base where they stand up double. Wicker had a good jump on that ball. He was heading towards center field tried to Make the catch and just missed his glove. Was really a pretty good dive. I thought that ball got in on the hands of Acuna Jr just a little bit, but still able to fight it off, and Winker just missed it. He did a lot of things right on that play, and I don't have a problem with Winker diving for it, either. Because you've got the center fielder Nay Quinn. You know he's coming over to back you up. The Queen has a strong arm to keep junior junior to just a double. So the Braves already threatening here in the third That is their third hit of the game against Casio, and here's Freddie Freeman. Takes a breaking pitch down and out of the strike zone. Freeman while they play him a little bit deep. Including Jonathan India second base. He's a good 20 ft. Into the right field grass. As the Reds have a defensive shift going gets this left handed hitter and he takes pitch outside Ball two. On Washington, the third base coach for the Braves. B Y Eric Young, senior. Over at first base. A couple of baseball lifers. Here is the two Oh, that's outside, and Castillo now with a three count. Trying to be very careful with Freddie Freeman. He has been one of the hottest Braves hitters last 16 games. He's hitting 3 65. Three green light. Yes, and he comes up empty on a fastball. Alright, right in the what have you done for me lately? Department? Freddie Freeman has three straight multi hit games. Here's the 31. Outside Ball four. Try to get him a chasing changeup didn't happen. So the first runners aboard here in the third inning Albee's a far cry from an easy out by the way, the Freddie Freeman's been swinging the bat. You just don't want to give in to him in that situation. You've got a base open and you've got a chance for a double play ball. Said. First two runners on front myself. Ian Anderson. The picture was a strikeout victims. So two on with one out, new of all people should not look out. Overlook those picture advance. He's got to give a better effort than he did. For that at bat to stand out in your memory. How's the Arby's? Upstairs Ball one. Making you guys look bad. Well, there is a pitcher's union. You know when it comes to hitting, but Got to see a little better swing out of Anderson before he's allowed him. It's got a couple of his pitching part is pretty darn good. So far for that 23 year old Always hit the ball almost to the wall on a pitcher he was fooled on his last time up. Here is the one Oh swung on a high fly ball Deep center field playable make when ranging over now and the left center field. He makes the catch throw comes into the cut off man and a junior will go into third. Freeman holds it first. The second half of the inning. You could really see how much of a factor the wind is playing on that ball because it got up and I think when he hit that, if there's no wind that's to straightaway center field. The wind carried that ball and it took nay Quinn on a dead sprint. Get to it over and left center field. That's a great point..

Final 32 this afternoon, and they finished the West Coast roadie with a final record of four and three. That's huge, especially it feels like we've been on the road for a good month. Now that the Colorado this West Coast trip they're tough. It takes a toll on the body. Uh, basically because nobody runs hard to first base. I'm not sure what it is where you're going to screw up your hammy. Apparently, apparently, they're all afraid to run hard to first because they've had to injuries. Because Anderson a brave Moncada, Larry Garcia hit ground balls, and none of them are in hard and one of them was a ball deep, like deep in the hole at short, and I'm going to make And I looked at me that out. "Reds are looking to snap a two game losing streak against the Rockies at Coors Field in Denver tonight after falling 13 to 8 on Thursday and 9 to 6 last night Friday. Wade Miley, who pitched a no hitter Friday a week ago was not as fortunate. Last night is he got lit up early and often. He lasted just three plus innings, yielding 11 hits and eight runs to go with three walks and five strikeouts to send his e R a 23.69. There are some big time injury concerns for the Reds, with both Nick Sand's L and might boost stock is out of the lineup with hell contusions and without further ado, and I'll mention it later in the show, but tonight's lineup Jesse Winker. In left field. Nick Castillo Janos in right, Tyler Nay Quentin Center. That's 123. And a U N e o Suarez. We will check the scoreboard for tonight's in today's games. And We'll give you a couple of reminders. We will dissect the Cincinnati Reds, who are looking to snap this two game losing streak. If they can win the next two, they'll keep the streak alive of not losing a Syriza's. Wouldn't that be nice? Because looking at the Rockies and the Reds dare I say they're almost identical. "Got the predicted next. Wouldn't agree with that statement. But I bet you won't find any arguments from the pitching staff of either team. His micro stock is weaker, still down at second base with two went out. Right hander Brubaker ready at the belt. He deals and the pitch to Moose Takis grounded foul down the first base line its own one. You know, it's interesting in that that particular category you can hear broadcasters where they're on TV or radio if their hitters both of those pitches. They're very unhappy about And if you're a pitcher, the first thing out of your mouth is that's an awfully good. Yeah, it's just the way that you see it. And borderline for a hitter goes his way. Borderline for a picture. You're thinking it should go your way. Here's the right hander zone one and loose. Takis takes high pretty good pitch there from Brubaker, and it really looked like that's right where Jacob Stallings, one of that pitch when the stock is just an offer at it accounts, even one on one. I think what we're seeing with Brubaker is very similar to what we saw in Cincinnati. He'll throw that four seamer at the very top of the zone when he has to have A pitch on the edge of the plate. It's that two seamer the sinker. He's showing it late. He starts it off the plane and brings it right back to the edge. And he's done that now twice for a couple of strikeouts, looking to these right handed batters. Brubaker has the sign the right hander from the belt. Brings home the 11 pitch and a swing and a miss by Blue stock is he's down to the county ball and two strikes. Red's trying to cash in on Wickers hustled double. He guided The third base line trickled into left. That's a big shift on here against Moose, Takis. 12 pitch, and it's down and in went to the slider that time and Brubaker has evened up. The count on move stock is it's too into the second basement. Fraser is way out shallow right, but he's pulled over a little more toward the line that sometimes what we'll see. Especially the fact that the shortstop Kevin Newman is still on the left side of second base. Bruce Takis hits a routine grounder to the normal second base position. That ball is going into right center field, and it could hop 40 times.

"Of the more difficult it bats in all of Baseball, Considering how he is wind up comes at you with the knees and elbows, I think is what my crinkle would say. But I think on on Wednesday night he got tossed from the game from the dugout for arguing a bad comb. And you gotta love that from a new guy. Oh, you gotta love that. And it's so funny because I was talking to a day Brundage, the manager, and I said, You know, he says, we're gonna have games where it's like 45 games in a row, and I said the same umpires. He goes. Yeah, I go. Well, you're gonna have to do this because you're gonna have your mascot You're gonna have to scream. But the umpires when they look over just point to the bench because everybody's gonna have to ask how you won't have to get throwing out. But But definitely Alex would got called out on that and don't no doubt that third base umpire was watching. That was a bad call. And Caselli that I mean, I watched that place so many times 32 years taken is his gear off in a ring them up, and I thought that was kind of a chicken call right there. Were you ever in the dugout was somebody get run from the dugout? Something that some guy who wasn't in the ball game? It all had no business yelling at the guy. There was a chicken all the time was at least at least screen stuff. And then he'd look at he'd be like, What do you mean? I didn't say that. I mean, he'd be the perfect guy that would just scream intensely. And then all the empires would look in and he'd be like, No, It's not me. Atley was perfect for that role. He was always doing that. And we would finally what we did. We start pointing right at him. And then all of a sudden he stopped doing it because we're like, Hey, we're not gonna get in trouble. And Frank was the best. He would just like, Give it to him. Give it to him. And then when they look in, he'd go. Hey, I know I don't know who's saying that, you know. It's so much, but I was glad Alex would did that. A veteran move right there from a picture. And at that time, 1st and 2nd, the Giants were rallying in the seventh inning to come back and the 32 pitch. I just didn't think that was the right thing to do in that in that position of the game, I'm with you. I think that that sort of you know, as a manager or a head coach doesn't sometimes in like basketball. Get a double technical got himself ejected or a manager will do it in baseball to kind of light a fire under his guys. I thought that was kind of cool. You read a veteran move, sort of keep the flame I'm going into. He knows what's going on out there, man. This guy's pitch in the playoffs pitch in the World Series, and I think he's been a great ad. So far for the job. It's getting good pitching. I mean, he's been fantastic. He was a little upset that he didn't go out the sixth inning of that game. He was throwing the ball well, you only gave up four hits, couple runs, and that was that home run to crone. But I would have loved to scene and I want to ask Bailey or even Kappler down the road. You know what the starting pitchers? You always had a guy go out there for another inning until somebody gets un because sometimes you might get three line drives and you get another inning in And I wish that would have happened with him. At that time. I thought he was throwing the ball still pretty well for the game, and he and it was a tie game at the time, But you know, it's just that point. That's up to really up to Kappler and Bailey on what moves.

Trey lands will join us coming up here in an hour and a half from now. We ended last hour talking about Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Vlady Jr has this amazing bat. Of course, he is the son of Hall of Famer Vlad Guerrero. He is young. He is strong. He is powerful. He's 22 years old, but he was overweight. At the end of last year, he was clocking it about 62 to 90 years, so You can't play baseball at £300 doesn't matter how tall you are 62 to 90 day to stick him at first base because he couldn't move around. Basically was John Candy with a glove. Not not working well for you, especially not at third base. So they moved in the first base. He woke up in October one day and said, I got to lose weight. I'm embarrassing. He dropped £42.42 pounds between the playoffs in October and reporting to spring training and right now He's been on base more than anybody else in Major League baseball. He's having a Renaissance type season. Although he's still so young, it's hard to say Renaissance, but he's sitting 3 38. He's been phenomenal. Now more as we were talking about. How do you lose £42 of the offseason? £42. I know that there's always been a struggle for you to lose weight up. Sure, Plenty of our listeners is well loyal daily and struggle to lose weight as well. We have an American society where fast food is everywhere, and that's very unhealthy. That's so easy and tasty and delicious. It's hard when you're really busy, and you're raising a family or working along job or having a lot of jobs to find time to exercise, and we just don't walk many places either. We are a driving country. We have cars and roads and parking lots. And so you just don't find yourself doing a lot of normal activity. So all of that combines were very old beasts. Country that we have. And so Vladimir Guerrero I had to do a lot of things to cut this way. Okay? Mariah's I'm gonna go through all of them. And I want your take on what you think was the most effective part of it. Okay. What was the biggest reason for it? Maybe. Is this a long time? Maybe, as I read through these, Pete, the body bloody can cue up some elevator music as well, because I want to go through this.

"Year. I think everyone thinks that's that's inevitable and it probably is Because the players association and the owners are going to go to war over riot things. And i think it's going to be difficult to avoid a work stoppage. But what's always incredible to me. Is that you see. These franchises values skyrocket billions and billions and billions of dollars. And somehow the players don't deserve any of that in terms of the public sphere and that they should just be happy to get paid anything to play a kids game and that is the prevailing attitude when these things are generally talked about. How can you complain about getting pay anything to play kids games because people watch on television and they think it's easy in a way that when they see a great singer perform onstage or they see a great actor performing a movie. They don't watch that it's to do that if suitably they know that they can't for some reason when they watch mcgillion butcher third base. They think 'cause they played in high school that they could make that play. I guarantee you you okay You know i i was. I was a decent summer league player to okay. Whatever mcgowan do is twenty times. The fielder that that i could ever be ceiling a major league baseball. Major league ground ball And he's not even you know in the higher echelon obviously when it comes to doing that at that level..

"Been It's real quick. I noticed. I was told. I'm sorry. I mean, we noticed that the American family field sign along I 94 was changed a couple of days ago. And yesterday I was told the what had been the Miller Park Sign on the clock tower? No, there's that clock tower on the third base. Side off the stadium. I was at Miller Park, the stadium that local has now changed and then last night. Driving home from the station last night, the primary Marquis The Miller Park Sign Center Front V logo, the marquee sign that was not illuminated last night. Usually there's spotlights on it. That was not the case last night, which tells me that I mean, maybe weather permitting. We are within a couple of days, if not sooner than Getting that primary sign changed out and let me just say this. They nailed it. I thought they nailed it when they first showed us the logo. You know my less than a year ago. Now, maybe it's a year ago. Look good. You know what I know in a in an email file that logo that sits up there right now. Nailed it. The color scheme. The lettering, the silhouette. It looks like that sign has been up there forever. It looks like it's been American family Field and Penfield the entire time think they nailed it? I think it's great job well done and keep an eye out. Every time you drive past, something else changes, and it looks like that primary marquee sign. Will be the next one based on what was not lit up last night. Okay, 11 o'clock hour on a Friday. I'd say we lighten the mood, but I don't think we've been overly heavy over the 1st 2.5 hours, but Swearing is a sign of intelligence Jordan. We'll get to that and more. James got your headlines and then the 11 o'clock hour..
