Southridge football's perfect season ends in Class 3A semistate against Danville

"An impressive win for the Danville Warriors tonight over a very good South Ridge Raiders team. No doubt about it. Bob Danville. They're just really, really good on both sides, the football and you know, like South Ridge had much of the season. Daniel had a lot of playmakers and It was just too much Danville, And sometimes that happens, no matter what you do the other guy on the other side of the field just better on that night and South Ridge nothing to hang their head about a great season. But Danville just really, really solid. Did they get started to Danville? Start out. Get on the board first and can't get ahead. Stay ahead kind of ball game. Well, Daniel did score to make it seven Nothing. Those South Ridge, then answer back on the very next possession with a five yard touchdown run by Carson, the house to tie the game. It's seven within Danville scored a couple of touchdowns. Heading into the locker room at halftime to go up 20 to 7 at the break and kind of, you know, just added on from there, and South just couldn't get anything going offensively. Even with the playmakers we've talked about all season long. It was just really impressive Danville defense of effort and they scored a couple of touchdowns in the second half. To make that final margin. 32 7. So that let's go back to that Flory there at the end of the half. What spurred that for the Danville? They had a flea flicker type of play on a double reverse. They pushed back the quarterback of pain, and he fired it down The field, got him inside the 10 yard line, so they punch it in from there, then get another stop defensively and move the foot ball down the field with their running back. Ethan Dutra hey, was just unstoppable on that fullback spot. He carried the ball 22 times for 172 yards for Danville. Usually he's their short yardage back. In the things that I've watched heading into the game, But he just carried Southridge defenders all night long, and he really was impressive in that little two touchdown Flory once they got the ball inside the red zone. Alright, so second half again, You know it's hard to spot a team like Danville that much going into halftime and you know, it's just all too is your game plan when you're playing from behind. No doubt about in southwards. Traditionally is that trouble coming from behind because they're more of a running type a team and it just seemed like Danville had 18 players instead of 11 on the defensive side of football against South Ridge. They turned him over on south of his first possession, coming out of the break on a fumble and had a short field and again just kept that margin in a comfortable, Ah, pace there, and it was just too much to overcome for South Ridge tonight. What a great year, though for south rich. I mean, if you would seriously at the beginning of the year if you thought you would still be doing games on semi state Friday, uh, You would have taken that opportunity. I think so, Bob, you know they southwards when those programs that reloads every year, but it seemed like they lost a lot of great players some last year, And of course, we've talked about it before. They've been success up to three A with basically a to a roster, and they would never use that. And it's right. Not an excuse, But you know what? Football? That's just the way it is. You know, you have a short roster compared to other strong three teams, but Pain on to make your questionnaire and my answer shorter to your question. I didn't anticipate them going on a run like this, even though they are a really good program. It's just a really, really nice season that we had a season to begin with. And to see it. You know, progress like this has been great for South or just program and Justin, outstanding season. Yeah, And you know what it Scott being is one of them. One of the good guys. Jamie Comber, The damsel coach won the war. The impressive young coaches in our state. And it just two solid, solid guys into programs with rich tradition. As you point out, yes, southwards. We know about them, and I'm not that familiar familiar with sandal, but not just on the surface, but you know they've got good athletics there and deal with the warrior program. And, you know coach coming over from Western Boone, where he had great success and help Western boom beat South Ridge a couple of years ago in the to a semi state. I'm impressed with the way Coach Homer's got Danville going here is the head into that championship game with

"Random to the show Yeah it's good to be back with you. I'm not really a guest at this point craig. I think i think. I'm i think i'm a regular buddy in co hosts at this stage so you don't have to commute to the show video. Thank you thank you good to you. Good to speak. I guess always is always as an i love that. We're on video. And because i'm in southern california. I'm in shorts and a tee shirt and you're in northern california in the morning wearing a ski hat. Yeah some definitely must say. I can't complain My family's back in boston. I'm not sure what the weather is right. Now but There's a reason why i'm not there for the winters and this is definitely a good place to be so i'll take the cold. Yeah absolutely. I feel like i'm really turning a corner down here into panga with the help of the community i've mapped out several real key important ridge lines and canyons between here and santa monica. And now i'm i'm really Experiencing asunto euphoria. Because i'm starting to kind of make connections between the two and i got lost on a rotten single-track that lead nowhere yesterday but also found. Just this rad single-track connector that i just. It's a point of discovery of new areas. That i really love when you've got the basics down and you can start digging into some of the lesser known trails. Yeah i'm starting to get that similar. Sense of familiarity with my surroundings have been here only for a couple of weeks. And i had done some writing here before but not much information's on it in the Again you know in the santa cruz mountains. Just north of skaggs point and so. I'm doing a lot of writing kinda to the west of there towards the coast backup. Then yesterday. i wrote king's ridge up in Outside of grenville. Unbelievably gorgeous out there. the grasshopper what is it the super sweetwater and the old caz racists go through their train is unreal and we were on the road the whole time so that i know there's a lot of good dirt but The vistas just unbelievable. Yeah and frankly cinema. County roads are often worse than the trails in my ex. Well i was writing six fifty. So i was. I was in good shape but one of our one of the two people i was with we were riding in a socially distant way. Everyone into we'll be talking about that in a moment One of the people we were with only have thirty. Two's and was definitely feeling the extra you impact and so on. So i was glad to be on fat rubber. Yeah exactly and you reference the grasshopper series. I had miguel crawford the founder of that series. He's been doing it for twenty years Which is kind of crazy Twenty one years. Now i guess and you can imagine what the equipment was like back in the day and in our interview he kinda often joked about. You know you just as soon see a mountain bike on the start line as you would proper road bike and everything in between over the years. In fact one of the people i was with at their brakes. Were starting to fail because it's so steep and fast and so on that just The the compounds in their breaks was seemingly anomalous classifying. Or something where they're just losing breaking power at the extremes kind of sketch. I didn't have those problems. Fortunately and i won't name names in terms of who's brake pads. They were either but well. This is great. I mean i feel like these conversations and the discovery process. We're going through in. Our new locations is on point with what i wanted to talk about today. Yep yep Before we jump into that because it will be a jumping off point. Do also want to talk about a listener email and dialogue. I've been having with the member of the community named silas. He brought up something that i've been grappling with someone. New to an area without local friends is just kovic safe riding and obviously did an interview with dave from unpaved about the event they did and all the changes they made to make covid safe but for for all of us on the day to day we've got to think about how to ride as covid safe individuals and is it safe to ride with others and what techniques can we do and what i recommended to silas is since neither you nor i are experts on this is let's let's put in the community forum and let's have a discussion and see how we can provide information to one another and have a dialogue about how individuals are comfortable in terms of writing with others. Today yeah and it's certainly not something that we are qualified to discuss ourselves You know we're not epidemiologists. We are not medical professionals and so on norway claiming that you know we have actually if we have anyone in the community Who has that sort of expertise can point to articles and so on This would be the channel To contribute to the conversation. Because ultimately i think for all of us including the experts that there is a this is like an an ongoing iterative optimization function. We're trying to find the right balance between you know. Mental health comes through social connection and that we are safe from A disease a pandemic that know is i mean. It's not like ebola so it doesn't have that extreme seriousness but it is serious enough especially potentially to other people that we might transmit to where we wanna take precautions. Striking that balances is something. We're all trying to figure out.

Honnold, a longtime friend and climbing partner of Harrington accompanied her on the first two thirds of her historic climb. You got a book on rope. which is also tear source and you got a book about finding. The same book is funny. Yeah but but the third book is about beat that kid inch chest book I guess why even put that in story? I don't know, but anyway it's all good. Anyway they sent out a press release about the creatures including new pterodactyl sightings and North Carolina. He commented quote. My associates and I believe that these are non extinct. Tara sores which many persons would call pterodactyls or flying dinosaurs. I would love to see that. Oh Yeah me too Cynthia. Lee, who has been studying to become a veterinary technician, reported to whitcomb an apparent terrace or that she saw on Thursday January fourth in Raleigh. The flying creature had no feathers, but it did have a long tail with a diamond shaped bulb at the end of the tail, which would would be tears, warning that would be a tennis right yet. It also had a head crest I liked that marijuana use. She also spotted the creature last week. Following Wednesday's Snow Lee was taking an uber ride to work when she saw uber ride numerous. It's a bonus. When she saw the same crested creature out of the window, the driver did not see it and was just about to safely is is there on the road at the exact same? Driver! Yep Her recent sightings in Raleigh weren't the first occasion. Someone in Cynthia's family has seen in an apparent terrace sore. She told whitcomb about assigning many years earlier quote. My mother and uncle saw one two while they were playing outside at my grandma's house when they were really little. They told my grandma, but she didn't believe it. Of course she didn't know. Get back and kids are making up stuff. Yeah. I thought they were extinct. Since she has seen for herself, however, Cynthia no longer believes that they are all extinct. WHITCOMB also wrote an extensive article in live terra dot com, which includes several additional North Carolina sightings and Charlotte. A man in his cousin saw something bringing to mind the Word Dragon. The man said it look like what I had seen in Jurassic Park. Fire and Asheville. A lady saw a huge black winged creature fly very low over car McMahon. It had. It'd be cool. Yeah, it had no feathers, but sharp edges to its features in Jacksonville and eyewitness something huge flying in the sky quote. It looked like a pale, greenish, white and smooth skinned. It didn't appear have any feathers, and it had a tail with a diamond shape on the in greenish, White. Hans Weird it is weird. North Carolina's considered by many crypto zoologist to be one of America's seven Tarasov hotspot state seven there seven haunt me. That gets that map. I put out. We'll tell everybody but that. as a matter of fact here in Texas we have. We're one of the states with the highest number of the citing of this thing I think it's just the mosquitoes, but you never know. Matt Carmel Professor Emeritus of Evolutionary Anthropology at Duke University said that it's not impossible for there to be living territories today, but it is highly unlikely you're saying there's a chance S. write quote. I can't believe that if there were living Tara in North America three centuries of naturalists, explorers, farmers, hunters, trappers, and biologists would never have run across a single specimen living, or did it mentioned pilots pie in the sky. That's true. You know, but ain't in probably drunk, too, so yeah. Carnell told rollies, news and observer quote I'd rank it as being slightly more probable than living UNICORNS in Raleigh Durham, but only slight. That's not that's that's wrong. That's pretty smug has pretty much messed up, but that is our story of the day over other really cool man. I love the idea tear stores. There was actually really famous Encounter of a terrace, or I think in the seventies here in Texas, where one it was a thunderbird sitting okay, which can also be described as a territory, but were it actually like picked up a a boy of like five or six, and like pick them up and took them across the the the front yard, five or six feet before mother came running out screaming. Thing in drop the kid. Oh! CRAP! Yeah, we have to talk about that in a future episode but yes. It's a famous I. WanNa. Say Seventies here in Texas Texas. I'm fuzzy on days, but I think it's a settlement..

"And Jeff Goldblum as bigfoot Shit. But we don't. We don't got no, no, no. Get any of no again. I think they do it on the ship and they do it in their own dimension. which is which is great, which is very kind of him to not leave their mess all over the place you know. which could this be you know? Going off that theory, yeah, thinking back to like Atlanta's. They I'm back to ancient Egypt and stuff like that and the construction of these pyramids and stuff. The ASS ticks all the minds I mean. And all those structures, those huge drawings on the ground all this data lines. Yeah, yeah, and it has been. Theorized that was done by aliens. And that could correlate maybe the fact that. Civilization could have gone way back. The I'm trying to get my thoughts. Yeah, where you're going around and round and round and the Neanderthal. The NFL man could've been a predecessor of the bigfoot right. Okay, and it was used by aliens way back before they then maybe they have evolved through time to more modern understanding of what are what we think. bigfoot looks like now. Okay, can you know x instead of the old school? Way Got you know what I mean? Yeah I guess I don't know if I hope that makes sense. Yeah, it it it. It makes sense. I mean it's definitely a different theory on. Workers for the aliens in the aliens have probably been coming here forever since the. was created it absolutely so why not have prehistoric workers? They were just diff-. You know even man, are even us as creatures. Since we first stepped on the plant wave of all, we've changed a lot. WHO's to say that we are not a DNA experiment where the aliens tried to create another race of bigfoot creatures from the ones that they enslave, and then we about often that and that's what we are well. That's weird theory. I don't know if I subscribed. Other, but but I'm GonNa Right now. That's what bigfoot to art. That's what we are. We are just descends a bigfoot. When the aliens tried to replicate or clone, more bigfoot creatures to do slave work to build a pyramid stuff, and we just so we were the Danny de Vito of twins. We genetic craft leftovers. In the corner cowering in the Oh, Lord, yeah, But okay well, that's the interesting theory. There James Man you started. Awesome though I do like it, but I'm glad we have different theories on. "Puke Ridge is one of my favorite places to hunt, but it got its name for a reason. Now over the years has a guide. I've hunted this particular spot many times, and just to lay out the topography. It's essentially a mountain you start at the bottom of the goes straight up now. Of course it'd be nice to start at the top of the mountain which you can do, but you lose your visibility of where the animals are at. There's a lot of fingers in this particular spot so depending on where the L. car like the spot from the bottom and then work my way up. Many years ago when I started guiding as working for this outfitter and you know his opening day, and before this, this was just an area that I hunt myself a lot as well and I'd hunted during the archery season. There's a pretty nice mule deer in there I. Don't know why decided to pass the buck up with my bow, and then decided later on the. The season. I really wanted to get that. Bucking ended up, not finding him again so as I was scouting between archery and the rifle season I relocated this buck that I'd lost in September now. It's like mid October and is this is before day, so the outfitter that it worked for happen to their to on one hunts side to clients and myself is the guide. I figured okay. I'm I've been watching this deer year for the kind of the week before the season thought that'd be really is a really nice buck for a general area. We should probably try and go get that, but because most of the people that showed up came hunting. We're really looking for elk, but they had combo tags. Elkin deer tags so just kind of a cool opportunity to get a nicer buck than average. And as watching him right before the season, this group of elk actually moved down off the mountain into this pocket where the buck had been hanging out and in that group was like two little Rag Horn Bulls so. It's the night before the opener. The hunters come in and I'm talking to the guys that I'm going with one of them was. Little bit older well quite a bit older than the other guy. He was like in his late sixties, maybe even seventy, but he was in pretty decent shape. This is first ALCON. He'd been kind of like hiking in preparing and doing all this stuff and the other guy was like in his mid thirties, but overweight really hadn't done much, and so the both of them. The this was their first elkhart first trip out West didn't really know what to expect ridges looking for any bowl any legal bowl so. To have, brow tines. You know as a general elk area. So you kind of just getting a bowl was the hard part, said just like brow. Bul We found that can be down and then they had deer tag, which if they got elk? We would hunt deer so sweet. Okay, I've got the setup. We've got some bulls in this canyon, and I know that there's a couple of good deer that have been living in there because I've been watching them all archery season and now before rifle season. So, our plan is we're going to start heading up. We're GONNA. Get to a glossing spot. 'cause I can't. I don't know exactly where like the elk going to be moving in the night? It happened to be a full moon to you, so I figured the aren't GonNa be where I last saw him. The deer probably won't be where I lost. SOM-, so we're just going to get into glass position at first light figure out where they are and then try to get close. Get in and also like opening day. There's a lot of other hunters around, so it's just kind of one of those things you got to spot them and make your move fast before they get really blown out of their spooked. So we're sitting there before daylight, just as it starts to get light glass around where I think they might be sure enough I spot that group of elk. There's maybe fifteen twenty cows and a couple of bowls in their. In their moving up the mountain, so these tend to just be down lower in the morning like feed down in the evening, and then they feed back up in the morning. The trouble is is I. Know that we're going to have to be chasing. Because once they get into this timber patch at the top, it's really hard to get on the bed up in there, and with other people moving around the probably just gonNA get deeper into the timber and associate. Just like this I in the morning. We gotta get on these. Elkin explained this to them ahead of time like okay cool. So spot the elk movement up I mean it's just like in the dark almost and I can see a moving up the guts and I know exactly where they're going so I'm like all right, guys. We gotta go up this Ridge and try to cut these off. They're just GONNA. Keep moving until they get to the top, but I wasn't sure. You know there's a couple different ways. They could go so once. I saw the direction. They're going like right. We just gotTA. Keep going so. We, start hiking hiking I'm like. Is this going to be a matter of timing? If we can get there in time Google probably get both those elk. Otherwise we might not get any. So we start going up the mountain. The Mountain in the older guy is keeping up pretty good. I just tell them look I'm going to put us to pace. That I know we can get there in time. And just try to keep up if you can I know it's going to be tough, but this is going to be our chance, so we're workers in up there. The older guy I mean he's obviously keeping pace far enough forward where I can just keep pushing him a little bit because I know how long it's GonNa. Take to get up there. and. We're pushing pushing and then the other guy I'd say quite. A bit out of shape was started falling behind phone behind. Here's given it his all. He could see those elkins like are we Scott to get up to that ridge there started feeding, and we just gotTa Get up there where we can get into position for shot and he's fallen behind. I look back and he just. He looks like he's hurting. All right, so I tell you it again like hey, just keep on this course I'm going to go check with the dude. Make sure he's alive. Make sure he's okay and I'll catch up. Just keep working toward that rock up at the top of the Ridge are just. Keep going. Keep a nice easy pace and just keep moving okay. I go back and as I get back to the other guy I mean. He is like hunched over just calling dinosaur. Just puking like crazy I mean. He exerted himself to a point where he is now just like throwing up in not in good position. I come down. He looks like looks like this is not for me. He's like. Why don't you go up there? and. Try to get those Elkin. I'm like okay. He's like I'll just keep on like all right. You know normal. Leave somebody, but this is going to happen if we can get up there so I tell them look take your time. Get up to that rock. However, long it takes, you will meet you back there. At some point. He's like perfect sounds good so I catch up to the other guy. We get up to the ridge sure enough. The alker feeding in this little basin right before the timber, patch. Lines up a shot bom sheets Boll Sweet So we go over, we tag the ELK. Check on the other guy. Go over the ridge, but I take a little bit different route down to where I can glass and see if I can find him, and as I'm going on the opposite Ridge of where we were, I looked down. And sure enough. There's that good meal. DEER BUCK! So I, go back to the guy that just shot the Elkin Hey. Let's! Let's get over here. The Buck is just right below this other ridge. We get over there. Sneak over, and the buck is now just bedded in like this little bit of burn area, so we get into position. Right across the canyon. Bucks bedded..

"Appears to be about three weeks worth of Tro Russians? Food you ink and then this about twenty-three gold pieces down to the bottom of it. Okay to inch up the Russians I mean. Let's check the other bags. Is there any like identifying stuff on this anything that points towards being the cultists not specifically the other bag also carries three weeks worth Russians and in that case twenty-seven pieces of gold? What's in the basket making your way over? Lacing the basket staring down I imagine your compatriots trailing along looking inside you can see. The basket seems to be filled with variety of mostly. Looks like silk? You imagine it's probably kept rather warm and as you know you look inside hollers you kind of lean over. Hollis's the first to glance down and note what appears to be about a foot and a half diameter over alert egg of dark black and registrations of what appears to be that of a flame drink. Oh no no no no no no not again not again come on. Why is it in every adventure literally every adventure just find something EG to take and try to raise her own? I have a chicken who can sit on the egg. I'm going to be able to too much for that. Egg honey cute. I don't think we should leave it in the basket. That's obviously a makeshift nest. Probably with the summer or the Sun's heat is probably an incubator. Some sort okay. I'll put it back in but then I'm like we. We do not have time for you to raise a drake carried around. I mean we do have a wagon. Do we know how long these things about? How things when they hatch. And can they be trained? Obviously they can be trained because they were riding with your desert breaks. There's the whole race of people that train dragons and ride them around and how to train your talking about the tracks it makes sense to. I was totally Jiang. Was giving you the benefit of a doubt that you're making star Finder Slash Pathfinder straight for dragon following pertaining towards breaks fling. Drake's are degenerate cousins of red dragons with all the rage temper of the two red dragons but little the reason our intelligence. Oh no brutal. Police who terrorize the lands? You may ask three questions pertaining towards the flame drake if you care how long to their eggs to hatch the eggs. Take about six months. Just use this yet. But we don't know month a Denver station anyone that was just to maybe an appraisal role in eleven for a twenty one eleven thirteen for twenty three fifteen for twenty one masika the would probably be worth about four thousand gold pieces. Wow can they be trained? Drake Egg. Yeah they need a very firm master. They are generally speaking chaotic evil. Like that but it is not it is some of it is nurture and nature. They're not naturally speaking always Kelly. You mean a firm hand like a giant you mean hand lacking Elf. You do not have no. I can have a firm hand. No I need you to arm wrestle with right now. It is more mental than physical. I have magic's I can make things. Do Things. Sometimes going to enchant this enchantment but I can cow it scary stuff black. I can put it in a pit flies. I can mess with its flat like you can out with this flat. I was like what I can shake. Its bones but just be cruel. I'm just saying I can be scared. I mean it's also worth a significant amount of gold if we sold it. What are they gonNA do with it? I I was hoping they would like train than use it while you're going to sell it to someone that's good. Do we have time to do a full roundup on this people that are going to spy. This issue I was thinking about is her giant friend or we could talk to the leaders of my people. Do they won't drag it. Bill Drake's the real honoring. I'm just saying if the you know. Warriors are writing a flame drake into battle. We could nations picturing her husband on a dragon's he seems to have a firm hand. I mean to some small degree humanitarian and Masika show. That went to a place not even GonNa go there. I like this egg and I wish to at least carry it somewhere. That can be safe. So we'll leave it with the caravan when they get here. Because I don't think we should have a baby. Drake with us in the middle of the salt flats and when we meet up with my people at the Merchants Oasis. We can talk to cut and see if we might be interested in purchasing a dragon and they'll mascot the Kevon -tection for the caravan cannot protection naming it with be owned right. That's not how names. No if you have a being a mother own in something are different things. I'm not sure via relationship with the egg now. I'm Betty confused. Wants to be the MOM. But we're telling her no because we don't have time to raise the dragon chasing down. The cult accepted may not even have for like several months so and then we would definitely have to raise it on account if we could do imprinting. If it's anything like ducks ducks. Do this thing called imprinting. Where lack they see you? And they're like Mama and then they follow year round and whatnot they imprint. On like the first thing they see kind of a situation. That's really weird. A PERCEPTUAL FOR THE PARTY ATTACKED. Dula cracking and I started badly. Sixteen I Sixteen as seven for a twenty bad mercy. Corrales a thirteen for a twenty four. Narmer rose a seventeen for twenty three to five for nineteen. O Spaghetti is a role for coz machine. Yeah burge turning to look around like where he's kind of gesturing with one flipper and the distance you do see to v-shape silhouette a real big. I don't think those are birds they read. I don't know there's a way for him to get closer. You flame drive and speak to connick claimed drake's that's sounds like a question for your knowledge. Check well I would like to use it for that. Yeah so Masika was going to cast a spell in the morning with the psychedelic honey. Were try try again. Well we're not looking for something crazy like a dragon hoard or whenever we're looking for people did we get a name for the queen like do they name their laurey. No not until it's born well technically is born. I guess not until it melts and transport. Maybe we're above what it looks like. Definition is they describe it as being larva it is in its larval form air go it must go through the transformation into one of them. Can we ask them how that works? I do. You know how that works to look it up? Rick was like Oh Yeah No. There's definitely need some book somewhere and after Friday we'll ask. We'll talk about that. The after point. We'll talk about that when you may or may not save this Maybe if we can find the royal larva that would take us where we need to go or. We could find Teddy's Sarah because apparently she's in the same area well right now. We're trying to save the baby right but I thought we thought we were there in the same place because senator was probably also do it was injured and then she flew off to cut the head off the snake right in my head. Comback probably probably the leader in time. Let's save the bay with the power. I think the bay with power would be with the leader of the snake. The head of the snake so then as we begin all of you awaken in the hexagonal honeycombed chambers of the The three people play with Narmer for an hour. I'm to bet for fifteen minutes another run around what wander around and poke around and ask a bunch of weird questions I mean. Most of the workers are working. Well remaining soldiers would talk to you but the workers just go about their business cycle doing their worker thing just eilly chatting with people. Fleeing the hive mostly mostly regurgitating on the walls. The press I take notes about it I was going to say this is like I wonder if I could make a spell do I can fix it with magic. They didn't want my offer. Also offer of all of you. Some honey for breakfast sweet. Eight hundred yeah definitely. It doesn't come with anything. It's just honey. That's your own heart attack. You can put the honey on the heart was like so. We're basically just spiffing up our trail rations yum eating nothing but hard tak and dry dates for weeks and every now and then the one everyone well we have to. We have to trade off what day everybody gets their egg the egg. I may hard boiled eggs and I keep them in every little piece. I mean you could also do that. That require I guess. We have access to water so technically have access to an unlimited amount of water deed. You're welcome teamwork case a dream work so you wake up you do your morning preparations. You get ready to set out once again. I think help today. Have you been in the badlands? Now says the eighth day just went a little over week so you I suppose. Then once you've eaten your breakfast money Masika begins to preparation for her respell pulls out a jar grabs a spoon and just starts chomping away You do have to eat a couple of honey. Okay wow it is a couple of hundred here like drinking honey. I don't know if I could actually do that. That would be so sweet. Take a long time you take. It was on bread. No talking if you spooned it into your mouth you mix it with water like a half kind of mixture and then got it in the mortgage. I'd WANNA be like making a pot of tea and putting all that honey in their level of Ninth correct yes. I suppose I will ask Where we will are how to what. What are we want to find the thing that's going to happen so like where will we find the one that gives you? Yes no maybe or is it actually give you one more cryptic answer since the ones that gives you the okay? I get it from whoever MASIKA FOLLOWS TA. Oh boy tough over here. "All of it? Wow Yeah in two thousand sixteen I circumnavigated Bay Area Ridge. Shell and I did it Just as far as with groups of friends so they're sections that I thought that high that Iran. I'm originally runner or anything. I running of the different channels here in the bay area. Since nineteen ninety three was my high school cross country team and over time it just became a passion Just love to protect these different trials that I enjoy Scarring through running. So I became a board member on the retrial and during the time period I was also circumnavigating and it was signing a each time I hiked or ran or bike Segment I always thought it was my most favorite section of the route trial so a lot of people that's kind of where the question of what's your favorite section gender your favorite view. Because every time I discovered a new section something amazing about it that I hadn't experienced in the past it made it Really easy and what was also neat about circumnavigating. The retrial is just accessibility so a lot of it was just maybe forty five minutes in a different direction so it was a lot more accessible. Looked when you kind of look at the whole big map and I was just able to switch up Maya Saturday. Ron Go someplace new so yeah so. I didn't in Less than nine and what I did is just took those moments of time that I had free To do a section of it but with people are considering of coming circumnavigators. I really think you don't have to do it in a year. Two years or three years really think about what type of experienced with light on the retrial. It could be anything from Ryan to photography to have a new spot height with your hiking group. And just get out there making your own experience when you start hiking at you. Just really searching realized the diversity of the bay area in topography and they're so much more than Trials in your backyard. Even though they're amazing beautiful old airs these experiences that are just down the road. That are completely different. Yeah Yeah it is. We can be get ten minutes away from our house. We can be out in the wilderness. It yes it's that. Yeah you're in the city and just captured a perfectly. You're literally in the city stuck in traffic and then ten minutes way. You feel like you're the only person out there. Sometimes you might only personnel on. Yeah it's it's true it's true you are the more remote and get less old and I. It really gives you. I think perspective and what we're finding out now through research is that outdoor time is really great for your health and it's now becoming a prescription from some doctors people to enjoy the outdoors. Absolutely well I wanNA thank you so much for being on the show. This is great. This makes me WANNA go out and get up to Mount Tam Right now but after the weekend But thank you very very much for being on the show and I hope this speech in the bay area more involved and visitors who come to the bay area they can check it out and visit some of the trails. I can't wait to see all the new additions to the Ridge trail this year and in the years to come and hopefully in the near future will see a complete yes. Well I'm excited when it does complete I hope that as far as all being able to be there for the dedication and walk saddened segment absolutely and thank you so much for being on the show and I hope you have an excellent week and Talk to you soon. All right bye okay bye. Thank you so much Luana. It was a real pleasure to have you on the show. I learned so much about that wonderful trail that we have. We're so lucky to have that here. I will have all the links for the Bay Area Ridge trail on the website. I also and something that a lot and I talked after the interview is that the Pacific coast trail runs at one of the trail run race. Companies Sponsors a Bay Bay Area Ridge race series. They had I think they have to three different races throughout the year for the Bay Area Ridge trail and it goes on parts of the rich drill. I've done one of them. I did the thirty seven. K that goes from the San Francisco because from Baker Beach and San Francisco and that goes over the bridge and then he goes out and then ends at Stinson Beach. So I've done that distance. It's really fun. It was a great race. They also have one at East Bay and I believe there is one in the South Bay too. But I'm not sure about that. But I'll put their link on the website too so you can check it out and do one of those races. They are wonderfully run. They're excellent race company. You will have a great time very fun. People run those races and volunteer work at those races. It's just a lot of fun. You will not regret it now. The thing that she mentioned is a barrier bear bait. Can I talk berry? Esa Bart Station? It's not open yet. Bart Bay Area Rapid Transit. It's our train station. It's like a quote unquote rapid train. That goes all all around. Most of the bay it's It's not that fast. Not really and they're not that fast. As far as building new stations. They usually are very late. They never come in within schedule. So there is one in northern San Jose which is about time they should have had things down to San Jose. Sooner but there's a lot of politics especially when you get in the suburbs Barry Esa. Why am I having a hard time saying that? Berry? Esa Bart stations should be open soon and there is a trail right from that Bart station. That would be really fun to follow and it'd be like I said it'll be great to have a Bart Station in San Jose. Lots of stuff in San Jose for people see but we can't get to without Bart. We could take the the train the real trains but they're massively slow and wickedly overpriced all right. There's a lot in that and I'm not even going to get into because it's not about running asked me sometime. If you see me in person. Okay all the links will be on the website and you'll be able to see. What is the website? Martha the website is Martha runs the world dot com on the website as well you can donate to patriots. I just finished the girl scout cookie murders girl scout cookie bar. Sorry that is. Maybe I don't think that way. I'm a little behind since I lost my car but I'm catching up. I wanted to address the things children here in seat about two months ago my girls told me they were being watched while they slept. My initial response was less than fatherly. I said how can you tell if someone's watching you sleep if you're asleep? The then told me that they'd seen outside the window again. I didn't believe him. I told me go back to bed. The kids rooms downstairs and their windows in are gated backyard. We're left my dog out because the rumors downstairs. It's also halfway underground. Which means they're window is a ground level so it's easy for me to brush it off as them just seeing the dog outside or whatever a month and a half goes by with nothing else happened but then one nine dog growling barking installing the window. Downstairs laundry area by little brother runs downstairs to see the dog and then he sees the guys feet outside the window. This is about six pm because dark pretty early around this time in Colorado Springs. We ran outside to see if we can catch this guy standing outside the window but he'd taken off down. The street disappeared. Had my dog when able to break the windows. You probably would've eaten them. The kids have been sleeping in the living room. And since then I moved cameras to see the outside of the house better. I now keep both my porch lights on at night. I'm constantly checking my locks after listening to the girl scout murders. I realized I would have done with those councillors. Did my kids told me about a guy a couple months ago and I wrote it off as nothing but my dog then confirmed it with my eyes a month and a half later that they were right. Haven't able to stop thinking about how i Nord their words and then that it could have been there last words because of what was going on. It's a scary world. We meet sacks living but it will be a cold day in nimrods butthole before. Let someone her my children. I understand where the the counselors could've easily written off a child's claim because I did that with my own girls but I can assure you I will check every claim they make from now on. It was a real wakeup call as annoying as false claim could be. I don't want to write the one real claim off. Would it could be their last. I know it's a long email but it had to share my tail and spread the word. He'd your children's claims one day it could be real and I'd hate to see it in the news hail Nimrod keep on sucking yes scary. I believe that very much but the small minority that are not good man they can be so very very bad and because of those bad assholes rest of us need to watch our backs and watch after each other so thank you for sending that in time. Sucker extraordinaire Virak Lee now has a powerful personal connection to share about last week's Chimera Rouge suck. Barack writes her. Hey Sir sucker of time I just wanted to say thank you for Educating People about that Asshole Pol Pot in the killing fields of Cambodia. My mother was a kid there during all this chaos. She is still traumatized by to this day. My mom would tell me things she had witnessed and it would blow my mind. How ruthless Camaros fuckers? Were they gave no shits about human life. They murdered my mom's sister and her kids and also starved. My GRANDPA to death. She once told me she saw these soldiers who were helping this lady give birth to a child then threw her baby in the air and bayoneted the baby after it was delivered Focke Show also told me that she remembers the smell of a bunch of dead bodies burning when she was in a little village area. She had to stay in. These guys were sick in the head. They would even kick my mom's food over onto the dirt. Laugh at my mom will call in her. Name's when the Khmer Rouge were coming to an end. They had my mother run into the jungle and then they shot her bullets whizzed past her and others who had also been running with her while running. She was hit in the shoulder. It knocked her down but then she got up and kept running until she got to Thailand in Thailand. She became a refugee and that eventually was sponsored to come to the states. "Number one. They're around four hundred law enforcement. Officials called in from all over the country to deal with randy his wife his kids and a family friend. Lot of taxpayer money. Millions of dollars spent on one dude who didn't want to face criminal charges number two. The government did make some mistakes when it came to handle this situation at least one. Bi Excuse me at least one FBI AGENT. Maybe got a little trigger happy. The government did end up paying over three million dollars to the weavers for basically using excessive force in this engagement number three believing that Armageddon is coming soon has made exactly zero people's lives better so don't believe that number four randy. Weaver refused to leave his property for roughly a year and a half to avoid going to court and then after the whole mess you heard about today. He had to go to court so go to court. It's not the nineteen twenties anymore. You don't get to sneak across state lines and hide out from the copper and then start a new life you get caught and number five new info kind of. I believe I've mentioned this before but I can't find my old notes after a bit of searching. I WanNa make it clear that the air nations compound that Randy and his family visit is no longer in North Idaho. It's founder Richard Butler died in two thousand fourteen age. Eighty six lived along hateful life and the compound was lost before he died. In two thousand Victorian Jason Keenan an American Indian mother and son were harassed at gunpoint by Aryan nations security guards. They went on to successfully sue. Butler in the compound represented by local attorney Norm Gasol and Morris Dees Montgomery Alabama based Southern Poverty Law Center. They WANNA combine civil judgment of six point. Three million dollars from Butler and from the nation's members who attacked him in Butler was forced to give his racist anti-government compound to the Keenan's they sold it to the car foundation. Who then gave it to the North Idaho College Foundation in all of the compounds buildings were torn down and the land became just a beautiful slice of forest once again. That lane was put up for sale to raise endowment money recently for North Idaho College and it was not sold two skinheads so please know that. North Idaho has changed. We've had our share of nuts We are also no longer the land of Ruby Ridge in the Aryan nations..

"At so crazy. December of ninety-three Weavers released from incarceration and August at the following year. We've earned Kevin Harris file. Three hundred million dollar civil lawsuit against you as government for the wrongful death of Sammy Vicki. Weaver the following year in August of ninety five the Justice Department agrees to pay weaver. Three point one million in compensation for killing his wife and son Randy receive one hundred thousand each of his daughters. Get a million each each Million and I gotta say this bothers me Randy created this mess and now he's getting paid for it. The government did not force him to arm his young son and send him to war against the government. Randy did that and he did that because he was a racist conspiratorial maniac right and so was his wife. They both recklessly endangered. Their kids lives because of their belief in this ignorant. Shit I feel sorry for the daughters because they choose to be involved in this situation their parents did. I think it's bullshit. Got A fucking dime from the government for any of this in the fall and we says if I had to do it again knowing what I know now I would have come down from the mountain for the quarter parents. Yeah you fucking think I would not let my fears in the fears of my family key me from coming down but my wrongs did not cause federal agents to commit crimes. I have been accountable for my choices but no federal agent has been brought to justice for the killings of Salmon Vicki Weaver. I don't like this half apology in my opinion Randy Weaver. If you're listening to blood is on your hands. You picked this fight. You put your family in position for this to happen. You turned a fourteen year old into an armed guard and send him to war with the federal government. You did that. You never took responsibility in one thousand nine hundred six weaver now. Viewed as a hero in the northwest militia culture teamed up with Bo Gritz and offered to help another standoff between the Montana. Freemen and the F. B. I. Their offers to help were declined. Of course they were the fucking crazy two thousand randy. Weaver visit the site of the former branch. Davidian Church and Waco Texas New Church was being built a time weavers visit. He let it be known that he supported the assertion that the government agents deliberately took things too far in Waco writing provoked. The compound set the complex on fire and the government did mess up there. We've been over that but again you know The government didn't make David Crush molest kids. In that compound in September of two thousand despite federal officials voting are vowing that they would never pay someone who had killed. Us Marshal after persistent appeal. Kevin Harris is awarded three hundred eighty thousand dollars settlement from the US government and and that takes us out of today's time. Suck timeline good.

"The marshals service is informed by that a TV crew from Geraldo Rivera's program. Now can be told have been shot at while flying over the property in a helicopter. Weaver will deny this. Now after acting director of Hudson rejects plans to forcibly arrest weavers and other abandoning their previous plan. Spring House area but Below the Cabin Randy Kevin and Sammy or outside and armed. They're always armed at this point. Sammy Weaver is fourteen years old. My son Keiler is fourteen in the thought of him. Making patrol the family property with a loaded rifle at his hand. While knowing that armed federal agents are patrolling the property because they want to arrest me makes me fucking sick bothers me so much. I would never do that to. My son is supposed to protect your family protect. Their children not recklessly endangered them. How Dare Randy involve his innocent son in his delusional standoff. Fight your own fights right. I bit my tongue numerous times when I've dealt with nonsense for some crazy individuals Doodle harassment online towards me in part. Because I'm a public figure right. There's things I wanted to say to them things I wanted to email or whatever and I haven't for the most part most because I worry about retaliation not coming back towards me. Become a back towards my kids. I never mentioned my home address. Publicly your safe at school. My kids go to write the least I can do. Try and keep them safe. About keeping them safe during neither Vicky ten. Am while the RECON team gets ready to leave the garden. Spring House area north at the observation post radios that have vehicles approaching the weavers responding. The RECON team starts to retreat through the woods towards firm field while now being pursued by Kevin Harrison striker as the RECON team passes the firm field proceeding towards the y fourteen year old. Sammy is seen with Harris and the dog in pursuit as well and again how dare Randy nut co? Off fucking son. He's knowingly putting him in harm's way to describe what happens next we turn to an account given up to by the author of the main source book we used for for this portion of the sock. Ruby Ridge bigest Walzer best rated book. We could find the New York Times reviewed as having stunning job of reporting Jess critically acclaimed author who grew up and lives nearby in Spokane Washington. So thank you just for giving us such great source to lean on and of course he's a ton of other sources but a ten thirty. Am with the dog putting the agents on retreat Roderick Things they can take cover slides behind a tree. Looks back up the hill where he sees striker the dog? Kevin Harris running behind the big yellow lab breaking over the top of the hill but one hundred yards away aiming straight for him. He realizes this could all go down right now but he also hopes that they can still get away with that. A gunfight torn with adrenaline and fear the deputies. Now run alongside a logging road from one stand of trees to another twigs branches of crack their steps. They stopped turned several times covering each other. Hoping the dog will turn back and said the dog gaining the weavers usually would stop at the rock outcropping. Why would they coming further down the hill? Now we have to take this dog out. Rodrick said he's leading everybody to us over shoulder. Cooper's flashes yellow between the trees shadows a movement behind the dog. He takes for people ahead. He realizes they're going to have to run through a clearing before the reach next to trees. They're going to be wide open for fire from above. They're going to be sitting ducks he thinks. Tina's buddies might be able to get away without a firefight. This is Bullshit. He says newsradio Head said. We're going to run down the trail and get shot in the back. We need to get into the woods. The dog is barking still chasing him the marshalls fan out. Stop in the woods. Breathing heavily listened for the rusting of brush and timber ride. They're bouncing down the hill shuffling sideways. Taking turns is the last in line cover. Retreat of the others Cooper tells the others to go ahead a little bit and he'll take care of the dog if it gets too close. He has a nine millimeter machine gun with a silencer hopes. The Weavers won't won't hear his shot to be has to take the dog out Roderick and Degan make canopy To a canopy treeline while Cooper continues running sidestep keeping an eye on the trees while he hears a dog barking and the crackle of men running behind him. Then it all seems to go down at once. Cooper sees someone on the higher trail with trail above them and the realization that had fallen into an ambush hits him. He yells at the main on the upper trail. Back-off US Marshal. Rodrick sees him to yells at him. Cooper here's the dog barked. Turns sees a growling at him. He points his rifle the dog but then it runs right past him towards Rodrick Cooper does not see the dog when he looks back at the trail. Randy weaver is now running away in his peripheral vision. Cooper sees Degan duck into the woods and so he runs behind him thirty or forty feet. Inside the treeline deacon jumps behind a big stump near him cooper spies a whole protected by a rock he dives into it. The dog is still barking. Kevin dressed in black sammy and jeans and a flannel shirt. Walking along the trail coming closer to him from his stump Degan sees Kevin and Sam. Sam was the same age as his youngest boy. She's a walk right past him. When the boys are past cooper relaxed a little thing that they might be safe they might get away without a firefight and then several things happened in rapid succession. The dog moves towards Rodrick. Degan rises on his knee. Do identify himself. And in the thick of who shot first stories both sides agree that everything went to Hell? It Hits Randy runs back towards the cabin They run smack into a Zionist occupied government. Ambush that's what he's thinking. He's been at the fork and the logging road would man covered to toe in camouflage had stepped out behind a tree and Yeltsin him. Fuck you randy yelled back. He run about eighty yards back up the road towards the cabin when he hears the first shots. Sharp echoing through the timber. Sammy and Kevin her down there. He thinks Sam Kevin get home. He fires around into the air from his twelve gauge. Double Barrel Shotgun. He loads another shell but he's too eager pushes it too far and jams his shotgun. He draws his nine millimeter handgun squeezes off three more rounds Sam Kevin. Here's his son's voice. I'm coming dead. Then there's more shots. He hears from down the hill. Someone yells there's a burst in all directions You Know Kevin Harris Wheels and fires has thirty ought six hitting forty two year old deputy. Us Marshal Billy Degan square in the chest. Larry Cooper sees. His friend knocked back seizes arm. Fly Up he lays the line of fire right back at Kevin Harris who falls like a sack of potatoes. He hears digging. Yo Koop Koop I need you. Obey their billy. As soon as I can get him off our ass hang with me. He squeezes switch on his hand calls for Roderick in the radio. Get up here already. Billy's been hit but roderick has his own problems just down the trail. The dog is run up to him. Roderick shot down the back so it won't lead the family to him and then fourteen year old. Sammy appears in front of him sees it. He is shot his dog striker and allegedly yells. You son of a bitch and then Sammy overcome with anger begins to fire at Marshall Rodrick. What a fucking mess. Another round of fire seems to come from the woods and Roderick dives and bounces feeling something grazes stomach just as a bullet tears through his shirt comes within a breadth of hitting his chest then according to one former officer on the scene as Sammy turns to run away. He is shot multiple times in the back. Deputy Marshal Degan. Sammy would both die from their gunshot wounds. All because the weavers just refuse to obey the fucking law upon hearing the shots the team run into the woods to assist recon team and are fired upon when running from the field to the Y. None of the marshalls are aware at this point. That Sammy Weaver has been shot and killed at ten forty five. Am Hunt and Thomas. "Old Boy two six year old boys a sixteen year old girl and a sixty sixty eight year old woman and he also killed a thirty nine year old man the FBI the ACLU and the southern poverty law center as well as many mainstream media outlets constantly report. The domestic terrorism from these groups is more of a threat to American citizens than Islamic terrorism. So good job you racist Shit for Brain Idiots you so-called patriots more of a threat to America than Isis There's also a connection between these races Christian identity groups the weavers and the Oklahoma City bombing of ninety-five Timothy McVeigh the most famous name associated with the Oklahoma City bombing You know we'll be appalled by the government's conduct in Ruby Ridge as is his friend. Terry Nichols with whom he's living with. Mcveigh closely was following. The Events Ruby Ridge both local newspapers and in publications such as the White Supremacist separatist publication. Spotlight and he felt it. Mainstream media gave only the government's version of the events. Later he would recall this as a defining moment in his life in a book. Titled American terrorists based on prison interviews given by mcvay to to reporters Mcvay targeted the federal building in retaliation for the Ruby Ridge and Waco Branch Davidian tragedies mcvay would of course bomb federal building in Oklahoma City where the blast killed one hundred sixty eight people including nineteen children. More than five hundred others injured. Okay now that I've laid out a lot of the backstory for a primary characters right in the ideology they'd be surrounded with Northern Idaho. can get into and properly. Understand their standoff. The nineties were weird time in America for homegrown terrorism. Right before we get into our time. Line a word from today's real sponsors now. Let's talk about eyeballs? The pretty important too much screen time to result in tired dry is headaches. Blurry vision even trouble sleeping. I don't suffer from any of that. Even though I live at.

"Fucking sick car. Someday I'M GONNA have a Datsun. Two forty RABATA trucks motorcycles. He's buying snowmobiles and fishing life is good. Life is good right now for the weavers they could've stayed in this lane. We wouldn't be talking about rain Vicky. They're still young the buy a house a well kept rancher. In Cedar Falls killing it. Randy is the envy of many of the people around him. Crushing Life Smooth sales probably rock a little bit of Jim Crow. She out of that. Sweet Dawson blasted off that eight track and his bad bad. Leroy Brown says manning the whole damn town battery Oakington home. Mean the junk. Our Dog fucking hitting Florida's off the stop sign. Come on roles windows down Bro. Let smooth breeze kiss those sweet banks Weaver was also idealistic family. Members saw him as an exuberant man who threw his energy into whatever came his way. He's always going one hundred and fifty miles an hour and whatever direction he was heading whether it was amway but there was sports cars or his new obsession in the mid seventies silver and precious metals. Yup Randy Guy. Way Too precious in the mid seventies and again. I swear I this so many times in this sock. I'm like my talking about my dad or my talk about Randy Weaver Radio believed the dollar would soon become devalued since it wasn't backed by gold standard and precious metals. Were going to be the only way for people to survive the. Us effectively abandoned the gold standard in nineteen thirty three and then president. Nixon completely severed the link between the dollar and gold in nineteen seventy one part of what was called the Nixon Shock. Way Too complicated to explain here My Dad used to talk about investing in precious metals growing up. He talked about the value of the dollar plummeting due to not being backed by gold. Has that happened This is a good excuse me to look into this. We my dad got sort of. This was literally hiding gold. Dust in the walls of the house at one point If you invested a thousand dollars in the market in one thousand nine hundred seventy one for example for even easy numbers if you invested in the Dow Jones like if you got yourself a piece of an index fund just rode the General Economy of the. Us You'd have almost twenty one thousand. I'm sorry to have roughly twenty one thousand one hundred sixty eight dollars today according to online calculators. Like if you didn't touch any of the money if you just reinvested the dividends if you invested a thousand dollars in gold in nineteen seventy one or seventy three seventy three seventy three. I changed it and I've got to change one of my notes so just for accuracy talking about nineteen seventy-three through two thousand twenty so economy. One Thousand Equals Twenty. One thousand one hundred sixty eight. Golden seventy-three Equals a thousand dollars. Equals three thousand dollars thirty-seven Today so very different so goalby. Ub Good investment but not even nearly as good as betting on the overall economy which was kind of like betting on the dollar all the paranoia of the economy collapsing because the dollar is backed by precious metal has thus far been completely unjustified. And how does this episode because you know that knowledge only make him super duper sat at this point for the rest of the historically over the long run betting on the overall strength to the US economy has been a very good investment as the price of silver? I know we're talking about gold and silver. Here is the price of silver. Begin to climb in the seventies randy gave silver medallions and coins out. His gifts talks family members and new investing heavily the super unfortunate because in the late eighties. The prices silver collapsed..

"Ruby Ridge the site of an eleven day armed standoff with the former Green Beret and airy nation sympathizer randy weaver. His young family and a friend named Kevin Harris on one side and the US marshals local law enforcement in the FBI and the other the Weavers Kevin were holed up in the isolated. Weaver cabin in Boundary County Idaho about seventy five miles from where I sit and record this episode in the Suck Dungeon here in court Elaine. The weavers had long feared the power of government. They moved Idaho from Iowa. In part to get away from the government and away from society in general they wanted to isolate themselves from an outside world increasingly began to view as unjust and immoral and then in one thousand nine hundred to the outside world came to them. The firefight that stood atop this northern Idaho Ridge kicked off modern American militia. Movement is been pointed to by many the sign that a corrupt federal government wants nothing more than to take your guns your property the Ruby Ridge. Siege is viewed by the more conspiracy minded as blatant evidence that the new world order is real and that they have no problem killing innocent. American citizens who get align and refuse to do what they're told but was the standoff. That simple was it simply government agencies wildly abusing their power and killing innocent Americans. Who hadn't done a damn thing wrong? No it was not that simple. Both sides of the standoff made numerous terrible decisions the US government did not handle the Ruby Ridge siege as well as they could have mistakes. Were made. Maybe some power was abused however randy was far from innocent and he and his family also made terrible mistakes..
