"All right, Alan, we're back and I want to talk a little bit about what we were just wrapping up with on that last point. Really getting into the imitation side of things. And how that allows you to actually create ideas that have that right mix of both familiarity and novelty. So kind of bring this into that world. Yeah, so in the second half of the book, I break down these what I call the four laws of the creative curve and that these four things you can do to enhance your creativity. The first one's consumption, the second one actually is imitation. You're so often we talk about creativity as originality and newness, but as we talked about, it actually turns out familiarity is crucial to it. And so what you find is when you talk to these great creatives, they often have stories of imitation. So for example, Andrew Ross Sorkin told me in my interview with him, that how he learned to become a writer because he became a journalist and New York Times news 22. Is he literally took front page business stories? He took front page business stories, and he would outline them. How did they start, they start with a thesis, a quote, an anecdote, a story. How did they build that argument? What was the framework of these successful articles? And this actually turns out you see over and over again in history. Ben Franklin writes his autobiography about how he learned how to write and how he learned how to write was he literally did the same thing. He literally took old issues of the spectator, which was a magazine back then. And he outlined how the articles were developed, and that's how he learned the structure of a persuasive argument. You see this in music, you see this in movies, you see this over and over again, where it turns out that because we like the familiar what's so important is to learn what is that familiar structure of success. What is that baseline? What is that dare I say formula that your audience is going to feel comfortable with? Kurt Vonnegut, the famous novelist at one point thought he wanted to get a master's thesis in anthropology. And he ultimately left because he said, quote unquote, I didn't realize how stupid primitive people were. But before he left, he almost finished his thesis and for his thesis, he literally went through great novels and he mapped out on a chart, the positive and negative emotional state of the story over time. How did it change? Did it go from rags to riches? Was it a Cinderella story? Was it started high went low came back? He found there's these four recurring ways that stories unfolded. This is when the foundational things he experienced as a young writer. And so it turns out that because familiarity is also part of creativity, imitation is the shortcut for learning the familiar..

"That that's not true. I know that very first hand information. I know that general miller made those stark warnings to jake sullivan and said do not closed bob. Graham and biography was closed. Our troops were removed. We left ten percent of the americans. Behind the joe biden doctrine the biden doctrine for the rest of history will be ninety percent. Good enough and i think that that's shameful in the american people should not feel safer when they have a president of the united states willing to take ten percent of us and leave us know clay. He's obviously talking about his version. There the former deny cornell saying what he views the biden doctrine as there was a piece of new york times news analysis. Not even editorial over the weekend on the biden doctrine and it's amazing to watch them. Try the clean up on aisle five here of. Oh it's biding his trying to balance strategic priorities with the biden doctrine is. You're screwing up stop. Stop screwing up. There's actually no framework here. There's there's no way to look at this other than to say. This guy biden has been wrong for a long time on a lot of things when it comes to foreign policy. And here's what that's the biden doctrine. I just keep looking at joe biden. Every time speaks book whether it's on afghanistan which a disaster whether it's on the border whether it's on the murder rate whether it's on his new three point five trillion dollar budget. Bill which i know. We haven't really talked about a great deal. I think we'll probably touch on some this week in more substance. But obviously that's struggling because you've had joe manchin of west virginia and kirsten cinema of arizona. Come out and say even as democrats are not going to be willing to support it. I don't we've been asking. How covert innsbruck. I don i genuinely afraid of how. This biden administration ends because every single week and every single month. It seems to me that joe biden is further in the grips of deteriorating mental condition. I think they think they're past this already clay. I i think that they believe that. This is the thing. Yeah there's no big deal. The american some will get out. Some won't yeah. There's some delays but they got the media in their back pocket. Do you think there's still. Yeah they're worried about his poll numbers. No question and i think you're talking about his mental faculties whole whole other thing but on afghanistan. I think they're all. They're already rolling out. The narrative of joe biden got it done sure it was messy but it was always going to be messy and they're rewriting the history of the last thirty days in process. I think i think that's their hope. I think their hope is just that americans have the memories of goldfish and that whatever occurs next is going to make people forget the problem that i think the biden administration has year is when every story ends with you. Being incompetent and fell your. There's a pretty good theme. That's going on so to me. Afghanistan sticks in the mind of the american public because it further confirms the failure of the biden administration and what they need. Bach is something that is significant of story enough. That takes away the attention from all the things that they're failing on. I don't know what that is. And i'm sure they're sitting down right now. Is they enter into the fall trying to scramble because think about it. But if you weren't trying to make an argument pretend that you are the advocate for joe biden cova. You've totally failed on. I think we need to keep hammering this. There are twice as many people in the hospital right now with covert as we're in the hospital last labor day okay. He's failed on kobe. He's failed on the border. He's failed on crime all over this country. He has failed on afghanistan. He's failed on everything that he is touched. I think they're going to try to argue infrastructure and. I think they're going to try to argue the budget. I'm not sure either of those get through. And then we're going to be into twenty twenty two so i just to me. This is a white house without ideas and without the functional ability to advocate an effective way on behalf of the american public. I think it's gonna keep getting your your report card. Though is all rooted in reality and in results. And what's actually happened. You know how the democrats are how they get. Joe biden elected. I mean there are a lot of things. I wouldn't do it. Changing the laws in states breaking the certain states cova was obviously a huge part of it but they they told us this lie. That one joe biden was a guy who would bring together the country and he wouldn't be just some part of the left but also beyond that that they they never thought that he was competent. Clay the people that really pay attention to politics and know. Joe biden understood that he was deteriorating understood that it was obvious that it was reckless to put this guy in the commander in chief role but it was in their minds fully. The lies they told are still fully justified in their minds. Because it's not trump for four years and we haven't even talked about so you're right. I mean i obviously agree. We talk about the failures all over the place but you know in the next year. The narrative is going to shift to racism the insurrection the war on women. All these distractions and the media apparatus you know only a small percentage of the country's gonna be the difference in the midterms really when you look at it. The media apparatus is still ninety ninety five percent in the tank for the democrats. We have a lot to overcome even with your report card of reality that reflects poorly as it does on the actual by administration policies. I think the challenge for them is even with all that in the tank when you control the entire government. It's hard to argue that somebody else is responsible for your failures. Now here's what i think they'll do in response that you own the house you own. The senate yonne. The president is a kind of own. The senate right like jaded. They're going to try to shift the attention to the supreme court. That's what i think they're pivot is going to be. I think if you look forward. They're going to argue that. The supreme court is blocking is blocking the full fruition of the biden white house and the by the in the house for nancy pelosi and everything else. And they're going to make the supreme court the foil in twenty twenty two and probably in two thousand twenty four. There's also that there's the biden in court packing commission they call it They call it. You know judicial fairness investigate. Whatever it's it's the biden court packing commission. And that's look that's you're right. That's going to be a part of the narrative especially with this war on women abortion thing. That's you know. The state of texas has this really interesting law and the way that they've instituted. I think you're going to see other states. Go along with his two one thing that i don't think it's got enough attention with all that klay as well. We can come back into this without we. we never. we never have enough time clinton. We can do a six hour. Show literally regan our show every day. We're not going to but we could say our show What it is. I think it is. It is a statement. Almost a fact. I mean you could say. It's an assessment but i think it's an assessment for which it's very hard to find a strong counterargument that as we see this plan right now in texas and heading the supreme court over the abortion issue donald trump's election win in two thousand sixteen and donald trump as a president was the most pro-life most consequential pro-life president since roe v wade was adopted. Donald trump will have done more for the cause of life as president based on just. The supreme court picks that he's made than anyone who came before him. That's pretty remarkable. Especially when i'm sure you see at trump world they're saying he smells weakness with biden. It's looking more and more like he may do it. But i would be stunned at this point. If he doesn't run and he almost was at two weeks ago that we had him on the last everything runs together. I can't get him to do it. We're going to do it. Nnounced on our show we're gonna go to mar-a-lago and given three hours to hang out with us at some point in your future in the meantime if we've learned anything since twenty twenty nothing quite as important as powerful immune system over twenty years ago dr dennis plaque of texas he invented texas superfood. Friday block was out monday. We're back together now. After a nice labor day break. And i was just playing during the commercial break for you buck. The crowds college football. We heard earlier. Dr fao g saying that he didn't like the fact that all these masked millions of people were willing to go to college football games in stadiums that were packed all over the country. But you are hearing. And i heard it in person so many college kids out there with anti joe biden chance. That are breaking out inside of stadiums. I've never seen anything like are they yelling. F- ouchi joe biden. Because it's something there's an f. Word in front of joe biden and i. I've been going to college football games. My entire life and i have never heard a group of college. Kids chanting anti american president. Chance like this. When joe biden's got a forty three percent approval rating npr. Polls buck when the new york times is writing articles on their editorial page. why is joe biden so unpopular. We were just talking in the last segment. If i i always liked to think about politics from the perspective of okay. Let's try to figure out what both sides can do to maximize their Their perspective as we come into the fall. I think it's fair to say that. Joe biden has had one of the most disastrous opening years in modern american history as the president. I think that's fair to say whether you're a democrat or republican in terms of approval rating in terms of actual substantive accomplishments in terms of being able to point to anything that is that is impressive. Accomplished okay so what did they do now. So what's fascinating is that. If they had a vice president that they really believed in. Yes i you would see at think. It'd be much more likely that there would be right now. A ground swell among democrats for not that joe. Biden's knocking to resign. He's not going to step down. That's never going to happen okay. That's actually not going to happen. But there's there would be a groundswell for and he said this himself people forget this now one term only passed the torture the vp. And you would start to hear that realistically after the midterms. You still could see something like that. There may still be some democrats. Say that were a year out. We'll have to see. But in the meantime what's very clear is that even democrats recognize kamla is not gonna get it done kamla running he. They can't hand the presidency to kabul a harris. She would have to shoot. After ron joe biden down. She'd run as the. I guess is as the incumbent And well it depends on how they did it but anyway the point being she would have to actually become the head of the democrat party and clay. I think that even democrats recognize that. That's not gonna work so then maybe you get you. They run joe biden. You always said the weekend at bernie's breast get joe biden in iran. Maybe he wins. And then he steps down in the beginning of term to as as dastardly as that scheme may seem what you put it behind you put it beyond democrats. They're about to lie about covert stuff in a year and how it's too dangerous to be in line to vote so they can try to win more elections the midterms. I think. here's what i wish. I wish the presidential election was next year. Because i think if trump ran he would absolutely obliterate whoever is running in. Whoever's going to be running for the democrats if the election were in twenty twenty two there are so many things that can happen between now and twenty twenty four that. It's hard to forge. We'll we'll be. We'll be who's gonna run i mean. Would you have foreseen if we were sitting here in twenty thirteen and one of us had come on the air and said hey you know. I think twenty sixteen. It's going to be between hillary clinton. And i think donald trump's gonna run and i think he's going to beat. Hillary clinton would have been a pretty crazy prediction. I remember team. I was in. I was in conservative media at the time. Clay and i was over at cnn and there were all these different. I was the on on air conservative when they still allow. They don't even allow that anymore. I used to have. They'd have like they bring you on. It's a right wing lunatic buck sexton walker. Everybody's attack you with the whole thing but but even at that stage they let's never forget. They put trump on air at cnn. In two thousand fifteen going to the two thousand sixteen election they put him on air because they thought it was funny. I thought it was amusing. Good ray how dumb these republicans are. They're going with this guy and of course we got the last laugh which is why also they never would forgive trump because the thing that he did it was even more than about the supreme court picks. And how there's now a real threat to row. Thank god and all these real real policy changes that came from trump the the unforgivable sin of donald trump as far as the media is concerned was that he was a threat to the vanity of the journo elites they would that was too far too much calling them fake news all of it twenty five percent we should mention the study that came out twenty five percent of trump Sorry a biden. Voters now regret their vote. And so i don't think there's any way they can weekend at bernie style to try to drag him across the finish line i just. I'm not even sure what they pivot to. I think abortion and the supreme court will be one of the things they tried to distract people with. I mean i think that's where they feel. Maybe they can energize some supporters who are energized in any way by joe biden. I'm curious to see what happens with the budget. Because i think that's a big part of this too i if roe if roe is struck down though as we've talked about here clay and this'll be a big issue from now until june. It just goes back to the states and then what will happen is people will see okay. We'll state legislatures will pass laws about this and some. Have you know a six week or a ten week. Or whatever restriction. Others will be abortion at any time for any reason. And when people see that it's not actually the handmaid's tale dystopia. Oh that the so. I mean it's it's a great. It may not even be the issue. They think it is basically everything is racist. I.

"Of a civil war and that will then in turn, lead the conditions that could in fact, lead to reconstitution of Al Qaeda or growth of Isis or other myriad of terrorist groups. You could see a resurgence of terrorism coming out of the general region. Within 12 24 36 months. 12 months 36 months, five years 10 years who knows that was the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. General Milley. Welcome back to Clay, Travis and Buck Saxon Show. This is Buck. That was General Milley. He still has his job. Which makes it very hard for anyone to think or believe that there's Accountability for a clear screw up with the withdrawal. I mean, that's putting it mildly. But you know, because of the FCC, there's only certain words I can use here. It's very obvious that there were senior level decisions made on the military side that should require resignations. It didn't really happen. In fact, in response to what General Milley just said they're on on Fox. Former acting D N I, Ric Grenell. Great guy know, Rick Smart guy. Here's Here's what he said about Millie's. We could see a resurgence of terrorism. Look, I know General Milley and I've been highly disappointed that he's been very political. That is an answer to cover yourself for later. Now that those warnings are happening, I've also heard him say that General Miller, who was in charge of Bagram, gave advice to shut down Bagram. Now I can tell you that That's not true. I know that very first hand information. I know that General Miller made those stark warnings to Jake Sullivan and said, Do not closed Bagram. And Bagram was closed. Our troops were removed. We left 10% of the Americans behind Look, the Joe Biden doctrine. The Biden doctrine for the rest of history will be 90% is good enough, and I think that that's shameful and the American people should not feel safer. When they have a president of the United States willing to take 10% of us and leave us. You know, Clay. He's obviously talking about his version there. The former D and I record all saying what he views the Biden doctrine as there was a piece in New York Times News analysis, not even editorial over the weekend. On the Biden doctrine, and it's amazing to watch them try to clean up on aisle five year of Oh, it's Biden is trying to balance strategic priorities with the blood. The Biden doctrine is You're screwing up, Stop! Stop screwing up. I mean, there's actually no framework here. There's no way to look at this other than to say this guy. Biden has been wrong for a long time and a lot of things when it comes to foreign policy. And here, he's right. That's the Biden doctrine. Just keep looking at Joe Biden every time he speaks, Buck Whether it's on Afghanistan, which a disaster whether it's on the border, whether it's on the murder rate, whether it's on his new $3.5 trillion budget bill, which No, We haven't really talked about a great deal, I think will probably touch on some this week in more substance. But obviously that's struggling because you've had Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kirsten Cinema of Arizona come out. And say, even as Democrats are not going to be willing to support it. I don't we've been asking how covid ends Buck. I don't. I'm genuinely afraid of how this Biden administration ends. Because every single week and every single month it seems to me that Joe Biden is further in the grips of deteriorating mental condition. I think I think they think their past this already, clay, I think that they believe that this is the afternoon. Yeah, There's something Yeah. No big deal. The Americans. Some will get out. Some won't. Yeah, There's some delays, but they got the media in their back pocket. I mean, do you do you think there's still? Yeah, they're worried about his poll numbers. No question. And I think you're talking about his mental faculties. Yeah. Whole other thing, But on Afghanistan, I think they're all I mean, they're already rolling out. The narrative of Joe Biden got it done. Sure, it was messy, but it was always going to be messy. And they're rewriting the history of the last 30 days in process right? Think I think that's their hope? I think they're hope is just that Americans have the memories of goldfish. And that whatever occurs next is going to make people forget the problem that I think the Biden administration has here is when every story ends with you being incompetent and a failure. There's a pretty good theme that's going on. So to me. Afghanistan sticks in the mind of the American public because it further confirms the failure of the Biden administration and what they need. Buck. Is something that is significant of a story enough that takes away the attention from all the things that they're failing on. I don't know what that is, and I'm sure they're sitting down right now as they enter into the fall. Trying to scramble cause think about it. But I mean, if you were trying to make an argument, pretend that you are the advocate for Joe Biden Covid. You've totally failed on. I think we need to keep hammering this. There are twice as many people in the hospital right now, with Covid as were in the hospital last Labor Day. Okay. He's failed on Covid. He's failed on the border. He's failed on crime all over this country. He has failed on Afghanistan. He's failed on everything that he is touched. I think they're going to try to argue infrastructure and I think they're going to try to argue the budget. I'm not sure either of those get through and then we're going to be into 2022. So I I just to me. This is a White house without ideas and without the functional ability to advocate an effective way on behalf of the American public. I just I I think it's going to keep getting worse. Your your report card, though, was all rooted. In reality and in results and what's actually happened. You know how the Democrats how they get Joe Biden elected. I mean, there were a lot of things that went into it, changing the laws in states breaking the Constitution in certain states. Covid was obviously a huge part of it, but they told us this lie. That one. Joe Biden was a guy who would bring together the country and he wouldn't be just some part of the left. But also beyond that, that they they never thought that he was competent clay. The people that really pay attention to politics and no Joe Biden understood that he was deteriorating, understood that it was obvious that it was reckless to put this guy in the commander in chief role. But it was in their minds fully. The lies they told are still fully justified in their minds because it's not trump for four more years, and we haven't even talked about so, Yeah, you're right. I mean, I obviously agree. We talk about the failures all over the place. But, you know, in the next year, the narrative is going to shift to racism, The insurrection, the war on women, all these distractions and the media apparatus. Only a small percentage of the country is going to be the difference in the midterms. Really, When you look at it, the media apparatus is still 90 95% in the tank for the Democrats, So we have a lot to overcome, Even with your report card of reality that reflects as poorly as it does on the actual Biden administration policies..

"The things that we need to watch out for and she made a couple of predictions about what is to come in. How things are going to devolve so go listened to that episode if you have not already. This is what's happening right now. Several outlets federalists says reported that the blast occurred at one of the airport's main entrances abbey gate and was triggered by at least one suicide bomber. The pentagon confirmed there is an explosion and said there are quote an unknown number of casualties. We can confirm explosion happened outside. Kabul airport this is the tweet by the pentagon casualties are unclear. At this time. We will provide additional details when we can. Fox news reported that at least three. Us troops were wounded in the blast. As of wednesday approximately fifteen hundred americans were still waiting to be rescued from afghanistan. They're probably a lot more than that. I also saw new york times news alert. That said that there's a plan to get five hundred of them out. But not the one thousand that i guess are still going to be left. The by the administration has succeeded in getting tens of thousands of people out out of afghanistan but only five percent of those thousands of people have actually been american to the vast majority of those people have been afghans and not necessarily afghan allies. But just afghans in general. I believe that we should be taking refugees. I want to take refugees. I believe absolutely once. They're here that we as christians have an obligation to help them with our time in our energy and our resources and our donations as we can. But i believe that the american government should be prioritizing american citizens. that's what a government does. That's why you see governments of other countries actually ending their military into afghanistan. Not just weeding out the airport to rescue their citizens from afghanistan. Unfortunately the by the administration has stopped our troops from doing that. They're just kind of waiting at the airport. And then telling you american citizens to go to the airport To to hopefully did on a plane and get out but unfortunately the taliban is making that difficult and in this terrorist attack of course is making it even more difficult. That is just one of the many reasons why the biden administration has botched this and has caused unprecedented at least as far as our foreign policy goes probably unprecedented chaos. And so it's just a disaster these two bombings these two explosions. Just add to the disaster. That could have been quite probably curtailed by better decision. Making by the us government the federalist goes on to say just one day before the explosion. The us embassy cautioned americans against traveling to the airport for evacuation until they were specifically told to do so so it is likely that the united states saw this coming and actually we have heard that one fear was that isis would capitalize on the chaos at kabul airport. And possibly believe in possibly perpetuate one of these attacks. We don't know beyond that who is responsible for it very very sad very tragic. There's just there's just no way. I don't think biden lives this down. There's no way to spin it. Like he can try to give as many press conference is he wants to. He can be as defiant and defensive as he wants to. He can run away from the press as much as he wants to. He can try to pivot talking about covert and attacking governors like rhonda santa's for their policy for his policy. Making he's not gonna be able to run from it because like we talked about yesterday. This is a rare instance in which we do have a lot of members of the media actually being honest and trying to literally speak truth to power Rather than just say that they're speaking truth to power as we know. The liberal media often gives a pass to democratic politicians by in this case..

"Compounded but dr fujii as usual as usual is going with the most extreme version he possibly can because in his world. Anybody who gets covered. That's just a crime against humanity. Even if they're fine i guess their motto maniacs. They are focused on one thing and one thing. Only i'm reminded of the the infamous episode. Were in the nice fellow who worked for don trump. the surgeon general at the time said don't wear masks. You don't need where don't buy any masks the thinking obviously that well of course they desperately need masks but medical professionals need them more so hills manipulate them then as soon as we have enough masks manipulate them back again and they will follow our lead like this slobbering hungry dogs that they are well. Yeah not so much. So this whole new round. They're trying to convince us that the delta variant will kill us even if we're vaccinated so it's very very important to lock down again completely into mask up there some truth to the nastiness of the thing and the spread ability of the thing even if we are vaccinated. It's more than the other one but it's not nearly as bad as they're portraying it. What which is really frustrating. One of the reasons that was confusing. I don't know if you saw this. I retweeted on our twitter account which you should follow. Ben wakana who is biden's own. Covert guy you know. He's part of the cova team and puts out all the information. On this sort of stuff. He was blasting the new york times and the washington post over the weekend for having scarier sounding headlines than the information warranted. This is bahrain's own person who tweeted out in all caps yelling at us. Vaccinating people do not transmit the virus at the same rate as unvaccinated people. And if you fail to include that in your context you're doing it wrong. He was yelling at the new york times. And the washington post for making it sound like you can transmit the virus just the same as if he's saying. No you can't okay i. I'm confused well. With all due respect to the fact that the data's kind of preliminary this thing is ongoing and so we haven't had a chance to really study months and months and months of data and especially evolved. I would like to know so okay. Unvaccinated vaccinated people can't spread at the same rate as the guy. Just yell at us is are. Are we the vaccines can you got. It got thrown. So is it seventy five percents likely said fifty percent is at one. Tenth is one one hundredth as likely. Nobody's nobody's saying nobody's even guessing and my final on this. Although we will talk about it more. I'm sure but i happen to be just a pass the time yesterday. I was taking the new york times news quiz or he answered ten questions. "Long now i wonder if these deals have contingents based on the aglow. What if they cut these deals and then the law doesn't pass. That's a good question. Can they undo the deals. May well be that. They're betting to hedge their bets than where they're paying a small amount in hopes that so their loss isn't too great that they might have to pay more if they don't cut these deals in advance exactly so the news so that would be away for the news. Companies to hedge their bet and get some revenue out of this. Even if the law doesn't pass the biggest sticking point for google is the new law would apply to links to news articles in general search results throughout its two decade history. The company has steadfastly refused to pay the websites that its links to saying that it must be an impartial librarian of the internet and the concept of a free and open web wood breakdown if it was forced to state to start paying an idea so good it needs to be enforced on everyone. The law would unfairly require unknown payments for simply showing links to news businesses while giving to a favored few special previews of a search search ranking said. Kent walker google top global policy executive in a federal eleventh blog post. He said further. Those aren't workable solutions. And would fundamentally change the internet. And i have to agree with him on that. Yes i have mixed feelings about it. As i say definitely not something. The government should be involved in. But you know there does if if the internet basically as the what the internet has been doing now as a source of news has been basically cannibalizing the existing news industry and eventually enough of the news industry will be liquidated that there is no news industry and then somebody is going to have to figure out how to generate stories and pay for them to be written so that. There's something to post on facebook but i have no reason to believe that the old guard newspapers or the people who are going to solve this problem. It's a matter of fact. Almost certainly not the people who are going to solve this problem. So google created something called news showcase to sidestep the problem by creating a separate product that looks and feels different from search results. It's part of a broader trend at google of moving away from or traditional blue links blue links and oh i guess blinks turn blue and adding more curated content Some of it paid for in search results. Google's deal with news publisher show the laws working even before it's officially been enacted according to australia's treasurer and senior member of the government cabinet saying quote. None of these deals would be happening if we didn't have the legislation before parliament this world-leading mandatory code is bringing the parties to the table and is helping to pave the way forward where news media businesses are getting paid for generating original journalistic content. Blue links matter is murder. So i touched on this. Nobody the idea is that if this and it does seem like. It's going forward as this goes forward. It's going to create a very incestuous relationship. Between mega tech corporations like google and facebook presuming. Facebook gets motivated to come on board with it But you know google cetera. And these mega news corp.'s. To the exclusion likely of the smaller players the individual blogs for instance or small newspapers. I mean the other thing that facebook could probably do. I don't know what news corp is worth. But how difficult would it be for facebook just to buy papers and shut them down Newspapers are going to go out of business. Any exactly. their stocks should not be valued. They've got a lot of valuable assets in the form of buildings but and that sort of thing but there's no reason to believe that there any longer the most efficient usage for those things. So i would really like to see the relative valuations of news corp in and facebook. Yeah that is a good question which which of those corporations is the bigger juggernaut at this point. I think it's obviously facebook. I think it's probably facebook But it's hard to say. I mean newscorp is big. That's rubert rupert. Murdoch on the are worldwide. I mean they're in the uk there in australia. The new york times news newscorp. Isn't it no okay. I the post. I think york post is okay. Was it the new york post i discussed. What can i do a quick recap. I'm sorry guys you're gonna make me forget what i'm thinking okay. So google is allowing content disseminated in australia. Facebook is blocked paying your content provoke. Exactly so google seems a little bit better to be in that regard if you want an answer to that question or for just the hypothetical you want me to forget pretty quick. We weren't trying to get you to forget anything stone but We were happy. Forget a lot. Well you and nobody are in the same boat allen so it's all right but i think i've forgotten more than i've learned to be honest. Well i've forgotten more than you've learned the important i think the important takeaway from from this is that google is not the good guy in this case because they're the ones who are trying to go and play ball with the government here. Yeah that is true. I gotta give you that point. There are no new. There are no good guys voluntary internet if your actions are voluntary and you don't have to hurt people to get them to do what you want them to. I mean you don't have to like control them to limit the you don't have to force them. I mean you don't have to lake. Just am overpower their minds. They sold their body. I mean are they willing converts. Nobody knows what to say about that. Yeah you've made nobody speechless. It's true nobody has any idea how to i. I think here on this radio. It's actually not the first time now. There is this guy who was. He was arguing with me. And and we argued and we argued we argued and he said you've got an answer for everything you and i said i have no idea how to respond to that. Who is that at some hater. It was it was a stop free. Keyter i wasn't on the air. No no but but he said you've got an answer for everything don't you and i said i have no idea how to respond to that. And he was wrong dumbfounded. There's nowhere you could go from this point that there are no good guys in this. I mean that's definitely true. I mean these guys are all mega mega corporate big tech giant's versus horribly violent terrifying governments. And we're all going to be subjected to it. Yeah they're fighting over. who gets.

They're terrorized and try to remember what the phrases were that They kind of intimate that they're not supposed to talk about it that it's against the rules for them to reveal this stuff, and it made me wonder. What's going on there is there. What are the rules? Why do some people come back and doesn't mean we all do our only some and then? Makes me also wonder how many cases there are here in the in the West and the U. S and religious households where the parents just tell him to shut up. This is demonic. I don't want to hear about it, and then the kids eventually outgrow it. And And the memories fade. Yeah. I mean, I'm sure that happens, George because you know, even with the kids, we cover that there was one parent who was very resistant to it. So if you've got two parents, I mean many, many times, the kid's air told Oh, you're just dreaming. It's just a dream and then It's sort of shuts down. The kid might might give a few other memories, but the parents think it's just sort of fantasy, and they don't think anything of it so It's the parents that have the alertness and the awareness of the service. Strangeness of what's happening in that kind of allow their child to express it. They're not Pushing them to do it. But like with these Children that just comes out very naturally at the moment when the child feels like there's somehow comes up. Oh, yeah, I'm sure especially in this culture George. There's so many families that Justin Just because of their attitudes. The child never really comes out with all of it, and it just gets buried. I think there are other cultures, of course, where it's more expected, like and you know Asian countries India and Burma and places like that. And those were the countries that were research was originally done. On these cases by young Stephenson. In from the University of Virginia. Because in those cultures there were there was a freedom for people to talk about it because it's part of their belief system, so that makes it easier. But that's not the case in this country, so we don't know how many times it happens that Cases. They're shut down, but I'm sure it happens quite a lot. One UFO question. Um, you know, you and your colleagues wrote that story, December 2017. I haven't talked to you on the air about since then, but you know, it's changed UFO subject forever, so many ripples that were still feeling. Can you just share with us what the experience was like and seeing what a profound effect it's had on this subject that you've covered for so long. Yeah. I mean, it's been really, really exciting. I mean that story, You know, for me as a journalist who's been covering UFO's for 20 years and to suddenly you know, I don't Yeah, I've been about 20 at that time. So suddenly be breaking news on the front page of The New York Times News That was really significant. It was like the pinnacle of my career as a journalist. I mean, I never had a moment like this. It was absolutely Life changing, really. On gifts? Yeah. Which wonderful to see the effect that it had. I mean, I'm just so glad that You know, the story was able to change things the way it has, and I think the subsequent stories we did also One. A year later about the Roosevelt cases also had a big assessed. You know where the Navy was actually willing to acknowledge that these things were happening, and we got freedom of information Act, you know, reports from those cases. Yeah, I mean, it's been really Amazing ride George and It was just thrilling and exciting, hard work. But really, really thrilling to see what it happened with it. I don't know how else to describe it. And how is the New York Times on this topic now in general, I mean, for you know, decades ago, you'd see a story or two here and there that they take right down the middle seriously, and then it was sort of a forbidden topic for a long time. I can imagine what a heavy lift it was to get this through. Editors and I've heard stories about pushback. I know that, you know, looking at the readership, the reactions that these were highly read stories that they must have made a dent and people realize that the paper that while this topic is of interest to the public, but I doubt I tend to doubt that there I hard one assigned a UFO story every month. No, exactly. I mean, there's a very, very high bar in New York times on. That's one of the reasons that the stories carry so much weight. You know, you can't just sort of go in and write about the latest thing like you might be able to do in a block or something. You know, it's got to have There's a lot of need to. It's got to be government related. It's got to be something really new and exciting. It's gotta be ground, breaking those kinds of stories that there don't go for, but We are my colleague Ralph Blumenthal and I are always looking for what we could bring next to the New York Times, But we know That most of the stuff we ran across. We're not gonna be able to bring to the New York Times. It's really frustrating, so we have to get it at a certain level. That to interest the editors there and but they're always there interested. I mean, they want additional stories on this topic. We have definitely changed the attitudes of the New York Times They are now recognizing. This is a valid subject worthy of coverage, and they're willing to do more of it. As long as we can find the stories that they Field to be or so you know, at the level that the times need them to be at and so that's our task. Let's take a couple of calls west of the Rockies. John in Oregon, by John You're on with Leslie Kean..

"She doesn't know how to pronounce her own name. Sometimes she screws it up steps and not a bright woman cackles like a lunatic from a cartoon over the most absurd things. She's going to be the real, they keep mixing it up. Is she going to be the president of the vice president? She said. She was going to be the president, Lunch bucket. Joe Biden said she was going to be the president. It's hard to keep track of the thoughts of Joe Biden fact, it's probably best to not try Nurse Ratchet, I think has a role like that in our society. But most of us shouldn't have to follow along with Joe Biden's craziness. Did you see That I I just this morning again. I rediscovered Joe Biden Audio cut from October that made me laugh out loud. It just made me laugh out loud. A and it's of course he's accusing everybody normal Americans being Nazis, because that's how that's unity. That's what there's unity program is about your own Nazis and white supremacists and terrorists and insurrectionists and sedition ists. Because you voted for Trump and people are, of course, paying a price across the country. Nice lady on with Shannon Bream on the Fox News Channel last night. Nice woman from Virginia. I think the Roanoke area business owner went up to the trump the speech with her dad whether dad brought her dad. Nice woman she owns businesses came up with their dead restaurants. And now she's being blackballed and targeted and threatened and blacklisted and and stop because didn't even walk to the to the capital. Looks like Dad had a knee brace. Son probably didn't want to go for a long, long walk in Washington, D. C. So they went. They watch the trump speech because they had never seen one. And then they went home. And now they're being targeted by the left. Because because, well, you know, they are rather crazy People. They're really there is a lot of crazy and this is This is you know that this didn't start last week. This is in fact, last week was in large part inspired, And so can I use the word inspired? Um, as a result of all of this slander and the smears from from the From Joe Biden and Barack Obama just calling everybody the worst names in the book. This is And it's okay with the media because they hate everybody, too, because they're lefties, you know? And Juliette Kayyem. There of she's she's still with Harvard. She is a Harvard professor and a Democrat. I think an Obama administration official and everybody is a white supremacist. Everybody's crazy. It's it's like a It's like a prank song. Somebody should write a a satirical song about these crazy people. I mean, they really are just crazy. One little riot, and you guys just lose it. You know, they've been riots all year long. All across America. Thousands have been injured. Thousands of businesses have been destroyed. City after city sack looted, plundered and burned like Visigoths are ripping through the fall of the Roman Empire Nets have very similar in a lot of ways. Actually, this is kind of the new forest 76 80. That's that that time stamp the date stamp on the fall of the Roman Empire. And and, of course, you know we're being eaten out from within. Can I say that exactly like that? From within this time, you know, it would pretty much the case with Rome as well. And the left has been clamoring for this for years for years and years. And and now, boy, you know this woman Juliet Camp, Harvard University, Harvard Law School. They all go to the same place. They're all talk by the same people. They all believe the same things about everything. There is no independent thought. They have one tiny little brain that they've got to share. They've got to split it up amongst themselves. Actually, it reminds me of a friend of mine. Jamie When he was in college was he went to a Steve Martin concert long ago, Steve Martin was doing stand up comedy and came to his college. I think it was Florida State or University of Florida and ST Martin candidate. He did a. He did a concert college. They used to do that They don't do that anymore because Democrats have destroyed comedy. So that this literally true that murdered comedy so comedians don't do college campuses anymore because they're hotbeds of left wing lunacy, and they hate everything and no joke is acceptable, So it's really it's It's a form of tyranny and fascism. It's you know, it's leftism. They're not liberals. They're leftist and Steve Martin did is his concert. They call the council and and any waved. Everybody walked up the island. He waved. Everybody said he said, he's gonna buy everybody. McDonald's gonna buy everybody. McDonald's And the whole crowd like 1000. People fought him to the McDonald's. It was on the same block, and he went into the McDonald's and bought a an order of large fries. 100 large price got a plastic knife went out and sat on the curb and pulled out one French fried of time and started cutting them up into tiny little pit. You know, like 1/16 of an inch of French fry and offering That little piece, DeVry says here a piece for you a peaceful and that's kind of at Harvard. That's what they've done with a single brain. Over the years. All these people go to the same schools this Juliette Kayyem lunatic, Harvard Law School, Harvard University, and she's a psycho. She is just a complete nutcase and, of course of former Democrat administration official and an MSNBC. She's an MSNBC person. You got it. You know, because they're they're all they're all mad. They're all completely mad. They are and you go on MSNBC and you say things like that, and they sit there and they smile. They smile. They think that's pretty good. Um Yeah, because that's stability. That's discourse in America as she was the assistant secretary, Homeland Security, Inter government Mental Affairs on D. She's a radical and an extremist and perfectly mainstream and perfectly normal and and I got, I got to say, because a lot of idiots who get their news from CNN and have been completely oblivious for years and years. Were utterly shocked by what happened last weekend, our last last week rather on Wednesday, and I got to say, Well, that's only because you haven't been paying attention for years and the fact that you haven't been paying attention for years and you've been getting misinformation and disinformation. From your alleged sources of news is not really on my list of problems. There's not, you know your ignorance. Well, it's everybody's problem. But, you know, listen along if you will listen up cloth ears because there's a lot to know There's a lot to learn about what's been going on in this country for years now. And that was just a tiny little example of this. There's crazy person. This Juliette Kayyem, a a nut, a radical and extremist Harvard law, Harvard University, Obama administration and and, of course, MST N. C. Where else? Where else would it be? Writes a column for The Boston Globe Works for The New York Times News Service. And she's She's just a radical and extremist and perfectly mainstream and calling everybody crazy names. But with that said, happy Wednesday and welcome. We are at 88863096258886309625. They are. There's a great story out of the press in Israel. Israel National News, A nice piece written by David Rosenberg about one of Joe Biden's picks, and we talked about her..

"Midtown and destroying stores. Smashing windows. De Blasio was all I don't know what we should do about it, Nothing. Guy was a total joke. But you know, the media likes the whole BLM think they? They excuse or even encouraged the riding depending and right now, it feels a bit like They've actually decided to Encouraged the writing. And let me give you the specifics on this one. I wanna tell you the exact verbiage they used Because it was decided by a Democrat prosecutor in Kenosha, Wisconsin. You'll probably remember. Why do we know about Kenosha? What is it about? Kenosha, Wisconsin. Oh, that's right. That's where there were riots. And then those rights also led to the shooting involved. That involved Kyle Rittenhouse, right, But why were there riots that Rittenhouse went to in the first place? You remember this? Is Jacob Lay Was shot by police Now the way that this was described then was dishonest, but it's it's gotten even worse now. This is how the Washington Post wrote the headline at four. 28 P. M today. Police officers won't be charged in shooting of Jacob Blake and unarmed black man who was shot seven times in the back in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Think about the choices made in this. Shot in the back well, He was shot in the back by an officer who was holding him and telling him and had been telling him for a good five or 10. Seconds before hand. Stop, Stop! Don't move! Free! Stop! Stop! Yelling at him. Don't move! Don't move! What are you doing? Don't go into your car. What are you doing? We have the video. We have video this We don't think yes. They say shot seven times. Well, what is the? Why include the number Now. I'm not saying the number is in a valid detail upon the story. Why is that in the headline, though? We're dissecting the propaganda. Why put them the headline? Well, because it's meant to be inflammatory. Oh, my gosh! Shot him seven times. Why would you ever do that? When anybody who's ever spent any time Firing weapons, especially if you've had any combat training as I have. Firing seven shots with whether it was a clock. I don't even know what the pistol was, is very easy and very quick thing to do. And you shoot until the threat is stopped. That's how you're trained. Okay? You know what's even more interesting, though. Is what they included and now have had to change. Because Jacob Blake, whom they described as unarmed. In the headline here. How many months later was, in fact armed when he was shot with a knife that he was grabbing at the time off? The shooting. And here you go. Update. The Washington Post has written a correction and earlier version of this story incorrectly described Jacob Blake as unarmed. While his family has said he was not armed when shot by police. That's irrelevant. By the way his family's wrong. We have video and police testimony. I don't care what the family is saying about this when we have video of it. Prosecutors said video depicts him holding a knife. The story has been corrected. Ogi Yeah, So you mean that you don't just report whatever the lawyer for the family says. As the facts. Wow, What a shock Washington Post. Why would they get an important story like this so wrong? Give. Give that some thought. What is it about this room? Why would they get it so wrong in the headline? No less. Well, because if you work in the washing post news from if you work in The New York Times News from Unarmed black man shot by cops is the headline that you're always trying to find a reason to run that is the headline The Left wants to tell and wants to read. Doesn't do the circumstances around it. No, no, They're just trying to get to that headline. They're trying to be inflammatory. Other are I've written about and I've talked about on radio. Illegal criminal shootings of people of all colors. But yes, of black men by police. That absolutely does happen. Those cops should be prosecuted for whatever the crime is. Manslaughter. Murder depends on the circumstances. It does happen, but it is incredibly rare. What is much more common as we see from the media reporting is they take an incident where there's some question where there's some reason to believe there's a possibility of excessive force and take it for the take it as the most Negative possible. Depiction for the police officer and go right to the heart of driving a racial narrative in the very beginning and just and it leads to riots. Because of the recklessness of people like The Washington Post reporters in New York Times reporters and CNN and others who cover this. Cover stories like this. Police involved shootings because of the way that they politicize this and write headlines like this. Headline was up for hours. It was a lie. It's a lie. They ran a headline. That is a lie. He was not armed. He grabbed a knife. The cop who shot him was holding him by the by his shirt by the back. When he was grabbing the night, which means the the The timing necessary for him to use that knife in a lethal attack on that officer is a second. Just one second. It's got the knife in his hand. Boom, stabs the officer then in the neck. Now he's dead. Are you? He had plenty of warning. He was told. Stop what you're doing. Stop what you're doing. He goes for a knife has a knife in his hand in his shot. As on video..
