"The kid stood the kid if they don't take one in the first round they don't have a second route so they take one in the third or fourth say they use the Gronk pick on a qb that means they do believe instead of to some extent. Because there's no way there's no way that drafting a fourth rounder. It saying he's GonNa Start Year one year two so I think it says a lot if they take whoever Jordan love or weapons there. Twenty-three say goodbye or at least say don't take a seat to stead. Yeah I totally agree with that but I also think that given the situation I mean. I think one of the biggest reasons why they brought Brian. Hoyer back because he knows. The offense and as complex complicated and complex says it is Rookie is any rookie. Is GonNa have a hard time dealing with that? In these circumstances. That's an impossible job. Can you imagine being the guy taking over for Tom? Brady would know grog. Maybe with no adult men with these. You know mediocre receivers. It's going to be impossible. It's going to be like Pete Carroll taking over Parcels Times ten just having fill those shoes and the demands and expectations of the fans the media. You gotta be one tough mentally tough kid to step into that job and do okay. I I agree. I think that's going to be whoever it is and I almost think that might be to another reason why Brian Hoyer was brought in. Maybe he takes the bullets early. That's what you're thinking. Is that what you're my thoughts are that Bryant Warriors? Probably going to be the guy that starts. I think it's a recent. They brought him back. My my question Karen. Is You know they obviously thought highly enough of of Steinem to to let Brian. Hoyer go to to the colts did you. What was the word around the team this year? You know. Brady's had a lot of backups? You know in his time and people always want to comment on that and you may not get to see them in practice but you definitely get to hear the VIBE. What was the VIBE on? Where people impressed with them was there. Was there a lot of talk that he was was doing well exceeding expectations or were like Meniskus Kinda. Bum were kind of in trouble. If Tom gets hurt yeah I think all the the VIBE was positives I it was curious that they brought in another veteran ultimately But the the rationale they gave was Brady couldn't practice all the time and you know they needed somebody for the scout team so I everything pretty much all along. The Way from training camp on was very positive about stem. You know we learned a lot in that Howard. Stern interview learned Brady smoked pot in high school. We learned that he was having marital difficulties but we also he did not feed into the narrative that everyone wants that that he and Bella check hated each other now. I never thought they hated each other. Which is very different guys. You know in different places and I think Bella check is did just did not want to invest in a forty three year old quarterback. He thinks he's great but he's thinking the end of the line is coming sooner rather than later. Do the bill. I know we won't admit this producing Bella. Check believes Brady's GonNa go to Tampa and win twelve games. The brain is going to go to Tampa and win the division. Because I don't I think he thinks he's going to go to a Tampa and that's where all going to end. It might not be pretty well a hug it out. That's a much tougher division than what the Patriots are looking at are have looked at so I would just anoint. The boxing in give him the crown They might not even make the playoffs in that scenario You know this. You have the saints there. And if they're even at number two there's a ton of other teams with wildcard potential even though they keep adding teams now so I think Bella Check Brady was on on the precipice of that place. When he ordered forty wants true right you can just tell by the tight again. The contracts that they kept offering him you know they were like basically one year proven Deals because again brady is an anomaly. And you know Bella checks which one is consistent. He did not change his his Mo just because he had the greatest player ever he stuck to his guns. But when you stop and think about praties crate he's amazing he's the greatest player. Everbody's Mutes Age for Christ Sake you can't expect the guy to growth and take hits again. I'll say it wake two week. Four might be okay but week. Fourteen weeks fifteen. He's not going to be the same guy he's GonNa be banged up because that's how it works. That's the way that's why there aren't many. That's why there's never been a good forty three year old quarterback that's why he brought Jimmy Garoppolo when he did has again going back then he kept thinking. This is you know. Brady's Brady's done. And he kept winning super bowls. So care I WANNA know if Tom Brady said he was coming back in New England this year. Do you still do you think. Rob Gronkowski is back playing in New England this year. Or do you think no. I think that's only because he went to Tampa yes absolutely. He was done playing. Bella check questionnaire to come back to play. I mean if Brady stayed as you said. This wouldn't have happened my understand we? Yeah so so. Brady and Belle checker. Okay they have a good professional relationship but gronk bell check hate each other to that right. I don't know I think they. They had a similar relationship. Yeah Yeah Yeah Music. I think Grahn reached the point of no return. Was it because of the Detroit trade the almost tread to Detroit Dallas part of it too and also he didn't. It wasn't fun for him to be called out in front of teammates And made fun of by the head coach. He again that that's not part of the party. Boy Persona you know so But I think that the the Detroit trade was the last Straw. He's a he's GonNa be so happy. I just said this Karen. He's not going to wear a shirt now until September he will. He might not wear pants. He's going to be at Brady's house and you know Brady's house is Genius House. It's on the water lie predict someone in a boat cruise by and catch a naked grunk out by the pool or up by the water jumping in the water. He's GonNa have a blast. I'm not sure he's going to stay healthy. And have you know a twelve touchdown catches but he's GonNa have he's GonNa love his time in Tampa. Well be like he's got you know what he'll do he's going to go to. Carol Baskin's rescue play with the tigers naked. Well another reason why he's GonNa love it is because again in that offense with those receivers in those makers. He doesn't have to be the guy so you know you don't need Gronkowski to bail you out every single game. 'cause he's basically the weapon I think he'll he'll find it. Great being a part of a great offense no question and they're gonNA love him way to see him block because I bet you. They don't know all about him down at Tampa but now running game. You Know True. That's true they're gonNA Love Watching Block. Watch them take out you know linebackers or DB. He's and he's going to be a huge hit down there and You know it'll probably do a probably get himself a tiger. He'll own tiger from. They let you do that. They let you do that down at Tampa but I carry from the Boston. Herald CONGRATS ON BREAKING THE STORY. Cagey and we'll talk again. Keep go go break some more stories this jazz but this is fun. Feels like we get sports again. I might start by Karen see you. Thanks Karen I'd hang on..

"But we'll see I know Eshelman as you forecast in portrayed him pretty good he's probably pretty miserable right now he has also when Bella check looks around the locker room you know who can be making example of so everyone stays in line. Who Do you think that's going to be a good question In McCoy elleman wants to be in the middle of the action. Not Always you WANNA play with Brady. But he wants to beat. Everybody wants to be in Tampere. Not right every free agent every guy old guard. They're like I want to be part of that. You Know Antonio Brown is going to be hanging out outside the stadium outside the offices. Bruce Arians going to get up in the morning. And Antonio Brown's GonNa be taken this trash out to the sidewalk and washing card said. Please give me a chance to play with your team with your guys and Eshelman wants to be that middle of the Party and this must be killing him so I think he's GonNa get his wish. But what do you think? Newt make that move. I don't I don't know if they are not I? I don't think they're going to trade him. I what I do think is. I'm interested to see what happens. I want to hear from Garin. Is that as the draft is coming tomorrow. There's a lot of speculation that the Patriots are going after Jordan love from Utah. State the quarterback. Do you find any truth to that. Would you be surprised if the Patriots draft a quarterback in the first round? Or do you think they're gonNA try and trade out and maybe get into the the coveted second round is bill belichick loves since he doesn't have a pick there this year so far. Well if you read me tomorrow night. You're welcome. I you know. I think obviously if they picked a quarterback in the first round that says a lot. That's going to tell you a lot more. What they really think. Jared stem If they don't I still see I still think it's smart for them to take somebody you know whether it's third round fourth round and you know have one more developmental prospect. I mean if they really think stem is the guy but he ultimately falls flat on his face. You always have to have somebody in the system ready to go in Brian. Hoyer is is basically your safety net if if stadium gets hurt do you know Brian? Heuer'S BRIAN HOYES IDOLISED. Candy knows idlers. Yeah you that. That's that's that's why shaves his head so we can look like nutrition. Tacna similar haircuts were were ten years apart which are the same high school. And that's why that's why hoyer throw so many interceptions he wants to be just like neutral is a fact that would be a fact that was taken. I think you're right. You're onto some CAIRN if they use the twenty third pick on a qb if they take toward love or if they tweet up for two yeah up yet. Doesn't it feel that felt that feels? I could be wrong. I could be wrong a lot. I told you Brady was going to Tampa. But I've been reading a lot. That feels so contrived to feels like one of these Mike Lombardi contrived things that the whole to speculation every day people San will they trade up because a why because he played for Sabin or because you know why are people so intrigued with the to Attune New England rumor? Well haven't been around the block a few times Lots of the stuff that comes out like that is just smokescreen Or Bella check putting stuff out there so people think that's what he's going to do and so everyone kind of scrambling Take this guy because he's GonNa take this guy in everyone's like scrambling over themselves and then bell checks ultimately gets the guy he wants. Everybody everyone you mean Miami. You mean his former coach. And He's thinking I gotta bluff him more than anyone else but if they take a QB in the first round that means it's simple as this. Tell me if I'm wrong. That take a qb in round one that means they don't believe instead com did spell check and I com- stead at Rowan stood..

"But I. I think the biggest thing for him to go back with Tom. Brady I think Tom Brady. Has that kind of power in cloud over some people and Gronk is one of them. I could see him playing in a one year and getting back up again and if they do well they win if they went twelve thirteen. Go to the playoffs. I could see him one year in gone. He didn't demand the new contract. That was a little unusual. I think generally guys come back. They go somewhere new. They're looking for a new deal right. I mean they have some leverage at that point but say said a Mute Newton. I'm well how are you? It's been a long time. My question is to you is is this. You know the two biggest proponents of the of the Patriots Way. Are Tom Brady into an extent? Rob Gronkowski is this is this is somewhat of an indictment and how things are being done there that these two guys have decided that they've just had enough and they want to do their own thing or is this or is there something else behind this. Do you think I dunno. Indictment is the right word. I just think Both of these guys in particular Because they got picked on quite a bit by the head coach Just get sick of it. And they've won. I mean Brady's one six six times and he wanted ultimately when the when he said that the Patriots didn't want him back he said find out. I'm going to embrace change. I'm going to go somewhere where I'm GonNa have a good time. I think just thinking about the fact that Brady is now I mean. Obviously he's so driven to succeed in. It's going be even with the cast. The great cast of offensive players around him given the pandemic in the time that they can actually be on a field working out giving these being kicked data parks having at least one player that he's familiar with will make a huge difference for him and I think Tampa Bay is willing to do whatever to make them happy. That's Florida so they'll be able to come back and practice next week. And we're in New England were. They won't be allowed. You know th the begins to law for the Patriots to take the field would you you now? They can go right. She go to Georgia. They're opening I think it's Monday. They're opening nail salons barbershops and Tattoo Parlors. I huge which is really weird. I guess it's a statement saying we're not afraid of anything we're all in business. I'll tell you down there. I think Tattoo Parlors are essential. Give them credit. They're not messing around. But Karen I started the solve by saying somewhere. I don't know where he is. Maybe you do Juliana but sitting there Julian element is sitting there. San How do I get out of the way I do? I get my ass down there with those guys like thought this the day Brady side I said element is much more valuable to brady than he is to any but instead more Laura Hoyer anybody else I mean. We know that they have this connection. He belongs down there and Bella check showed. He's not afraid to trade his guys. Let them flow or somewhere else is element the next guy to go. He could be but there isn't even even with Tampa's vast stock of receivers. They really don't have that slot die so it wouldn't be surprising if they wanted him or want to get him somehow. if Bella check really wants to clean the slate of you know what's left of Brady in the offense. He would probably trade adamant because again. That's kind of the last link rating but if Belgium is trying to win That doesn't make that much sense to trade all of your offense but not choose the heart and soul. If students the quarterback because one of his brilliance was being on the same page rank Brady. Newt knows this. I mean these guys were on this all the time he knew when he was gonna Zagan when he was going to zag also edleman is thirty four and he's been hit more than anyone probably more than. Gronk so he is the kind of guy who gets old and and his gun and it's the wall like that so I think and that's the kind of thing. Bella chicks always anticipating. Is he done next year? He might be thinking. Elements does not have much left. And he's going to be. This is going to be one good. Hit over the middle. He's going to live off and it's going to be over. That's the kind of Guy Bell Chick unloads so I can make sense in many on many levels. I think it's GonNa Happen. Well Jerry again. That one wouldn't surprise me as much as Grat. Kanada retirement did.

"A patriots fan. Who's enjoyed the fruits of the last twenty years of the Belch Brady era? I said this would brady left. What the reason. Brady's leaving because that's the way Bella check does business. That's how Belichick is he wasn't GonNa get emotional sentimental he was going to overrate a guy even if it's the greatest player while time he looks at his little you'll actuarial tables in his mind maybe. I don't even know maybe they're they're real and he says he's not going to be able to do it. He's three. We've got the best out of Tom. Brady it's time to move on. That's the guy who won you. Six super bowls. You want him to change now. You wanted to get emotional now. That guy made this deal yesterday without a thought to the you know to the fans or the PR fallout or any of that. Because that's the way he's been for for twenty years if you've enjoyed a patriots fan. I think most I mean you know God knows you have calling. Are you GONNA turn around? And say they should do things differently. Now no but I also don't. I don't think we need to give them like the credit in the world for parting with a guy that we didn't think was going to play next year like who cares about what the what the ramifications are while the one of the reasons though one of the reasons he's not gonNA play is because he didn't like it here in New England anymore. He didn't enjoy you. Know you hear all the comparisons I forget who it was now but now we're taking it to kind of bullshit rumor spreading gossip behind the scenes where we just heard. Tom Brady kind of go against every rumor. That Tommy current has ever started in New England on that Howard Stern interview. I have nothing. I've no data no information that says that GRONK hated his time with Bill Belichick. Well he said that there was no joy left. He didn't love the game anymore. That kind of thing and I think it was Albert breer said that. It's like going from the Marines to Margarita Ville. I mean clearly the more the the fun factor is higher in Tampa in a in a vacuum. I'm not saying if you don't win. It's going to be fun anyway. It's not going to be fun but I think a lot of the I think a lot of the the non joy for Gronk was the physical pain. I mean that was a big factor in you could see it even when they won the superbowl versus the rams. He took us on. He could be happy that they've won. But when you're in such physical pain and you're constantly in it it's tough to find joy to get up and go to practice and when that's gone it's really tough for you to do your job at the best of your ability. And I think that's more of the factor that gronk referring to and not necessarily that bill belichick didn't have Margaritas within. They didn't he didn't come into the pool parties with with Grog. I think didn't go to his party. The Super Bowl A PARTY. The Sue bolden Bella check and his girlfriend. Actually like I think is is Girlfriend took him by the ring in his nose. Like he's like the rest of us. He does what he's told. I'm not sure he wanted to be there but his girlfriend looked thought. It looked like a good time but I think he's probably like everyone else. He likes cross. He thinks he's funny. Thinks he's fun but it would be a Bet. You guys agree. It would be a bad fit if he said I need the money. I'm going to go back to New England for one more year. It wouldn't have felt right this rebuilding team in this great tight end at the age of thirty one. He's GonNa get bagged up again mute. It's all relative when you say. The injuries took the joy out of the game. Will the injuries? If you're you know like just get hidden the super bowl a one thing if you're getting hit in September Hewlett around for the next ten weeks is another thing. I think you know Ju- The winning and he'll probably win in Tampa Brady's healthy in o'brady doesn't grow old quickly in the fall. He'll probably have a good time. I mean he belongs down there anyway belongs. You'll be. They'll be pictures of on the beach and he wants any day. Now you're lying on the Beach Tampa. I'm not sure I think it's no Jacksonville. Speeches are open. Miami's not any day now confirmed that he was not sighted in that park right and they then they released a statement yet. They changed the word from cited cit to sighted SL S. A. G. E. We saw him in the park but they also asked him to leave. Isn't that amazing? Brady's play catch with someone and they're love that I love affair of the mayor's getting his little moment where he's able to tell Tom Brady. What's you go you small town mayor damn good here? You little bully you ready doesn't it? Must not have a nice big field. It has new house at Jeeter's house and Gronk and live with him at Jesus House. They can have parties. How much fun are they going to have? I think Cronk is going to have fun. Let's be honest this some fun things to do this some great strip joints. I've heard in the Tampa area. He doesn't have for now right. You'RE GONNA catch the next flight to Tampa. He's not gonNA wear shirt again to like September. He's so lucky. The audio didn't cut out when you said. Strip clubs then he said. I've never ventured we add glitch. That would've been a tragic tragic ventured years ago big one whenever it's called funds Mons Venus. It's crazy it's got God's name written on he's GonNa have a blast and I don't think anybody's GonNa Begrudge Him. Because he put his time in here he was great he was a hall of. Famer and he gave his body to this job while he was here A fourth round pick does not seem like enough when you're talking about and perhaps the best tight end of all time but that's what they gave up for Randy Moss that workout trades in the NFL. Willing to pay you right. You never seems like enough when you look at a trade in the NFL. It always seems like whoever it is. You could have gotten more but they they don't get it's just not how it works in the NFL. You know they covet. Those first round picks the Patriots have no second round. They got a bunch of third rounders and clearly. The mission has changed. You know clearly when you look the draft the mission is where rebuilding man. We're not expecting to win. Twelve Games again next year. That's that would be IT A. That'd be amazing. And that would be one. Abella checks greatest accomplishments. But let's this is you gotTa admit colony if you're a Patriot Fan. You're fanatic through this. You are intrigued by the idea of Belichick without Brady of rebuilding. Bella checks out to see if he can actually do it. Yeah well now. It's kind of the best of both worlds right because I feel like if you're if you're a patriots fan like like I am. I'm such a big Tom Brady support. Now I'm putting a lot. I'm putting a lot of weight in allegiance over to. I'M GONNA. I'm GonNa root for the bucks all next year right so. I want Tom Brady to win. A Super Bowl with the bucks putting that out there right now and I'm going to enjoy the rebuilding process over here. It's kind of the best of both worlds to be honest. I think whoever I guess that would be Fox if they were smart shake your head see. I can see this now all right. I can see this to say though. That's that's a chicken shit thing to do if you're a fan. How can you cheer for another team? Oh shut up shooting order another team. He's he's he. He is a child but he's not a little baby. Let's be honest if you're watching games. You have a rooting interest. You root for Brady Right. You root for Gronk Yeah. I think it'd be fun and I think the there will be. It'll be about a month where you're wondering if the Patriots and bucks could actually meet in the Super Bowl if the Patriots started Haute Bronx at it's not to happen. In fact Tampa would be the first team ever play home game the Super Bowl next year. Correct how wild with their own state happens if the Patriots play the bucks who you cheering for cheered for Tom Brady to win a super bowl. I'm cheering for the bucks. Yup definitely go to somebody in the know right now police. Yeah Yeah I WANNA know. Let's talk the caregiver again from the Boston Herald Mile Friend broke the story yesterday. Great Job K. G. Congratulations thank you Jerry. I we surprised because I was surprised. How quick it happened. I'm not surprised you brought the story. I'm sorry if you think that's what I meant. No I if anyone was going to break a new would be you but You broke the story of him coming back in like ten minutes. Later he was on his way to Tampa. We surprised how quickly it unfolded and from the information I had not necessarily no. I think I think all that was left was kind of physical so the fact that happened so quickly. I wasn't surprised. Was I surprised that it happened at all? Yeah I was. Did you think most of these guys flirt with coming back? You know going back to Barry Sanders every year. Is he coming back in? Willie playful lines will they trade him Calvin Johnson? Same thing. It's GonNa Happen with Andrew. Luck happens with all their healthy. They're young you wonder. Will they come back most of dome and Gronk seemed like he was having a good time? He's the wrestling champion. I love where that. But he's a wrestling champion and his CBD salesman yet. A lot going on he got he looked good. He sounded good. I'm surprised it's only one year. That is taken off were you. Did you think this way was gonNA UNFOLD? I when he retired. I thought that was it. I completely done Coming out like getting emotional during one of the was it the CBD oil Conference were talking talking about concussions. In the pain he was in in. I mean there were tears in his eyes talking about all he had endured Didn't seem likely he would. WanNa come back to possibly doing that. Someone replayed it. I forgot what he was doing a CB think this shared salesman thing and it was typical. Gronk all Shawki goofy and in the middle he gets choked up and I'm like he can't do that on cuties. No actor he was really choked up thinking of I forget what it was the need of the back or just the whole element. Yeah all the buildup of all these injuries one on top of the other. He's aware that they play tackle football in the NFC also right. He's aware he's about to get hit all over again. Hit like nobody else gets hit. He knows that's coming right..

Should You Trust An App With Your Mental Health?

"Is how are people using their smartphones as tools right now and how is that kind of slowly changing over time I mean it's a circus using this tool for mental health or tools for anything tools for mental health okay so people are using their their smartphones as tools for mental health and a lot of interesting exciting and the first wave I think what we're learning is certainly there are not to help out with the category and there may be up to ten thousand of them if you try to estimate the number there's no real official count because I'll come and go they get deleted but I'll be say ten thousand dental health laid out your mood trackers their symptom trackers there is medication Cocker you can measure quantify a lot of things after stand to live the clearance of mental health it also affect can deliver services they can help deliver therapy they can deliver mind Paul that state can deliver different aspects of treatment remotely the war also learning is people are using apps aren't explicitly mental health topics to to help to mental health some people are using social media out you're kind of how it works section to be more connected to reach out to people some people are using apps for exercise and fitness and that certainly can be benefiting their mental health some people using apps to kind of protect themselves dig into situations where they feel at risk of a relapsing intriguing more alcohol or they feel unsafe kind of quickly reach out to people that the safety net so we're seeing people using these to kind of help wanted Terter symptoms help intervene kind of have interventions under some help that two people hello wait to exercise help health safety net so it's a really broad way that people are using about that it's always the whole thing yeah it seems like it's you know you mentioned ten thousand have seems like there are so many options out there for people to use to get help for any number of things I mean you mentioned fitness and wellness and all these different types of apps are there any particular ones that are kind of rising to the top in popularity when it comes to mental health you know it's a really good question saying what are the most popular or most like mental health topics and hard it's tricky because the apps themselves are always updating and changing or if you think that your own phone how many times and after the one stop date and sometimes the Quebec almost every week so much everybody it's always a very dynamic landscape and what to talk about the one week it may be a completely different out next week to say how they look different what also tricky to kind of see what the best opportunity to hard to say you know what is the best anti depressant or what is the best type of therapy and you would say well it probably depends on the person the contacts and so the old mess what would match the in some ways they can kind of be the same with dental health cool thank you could say what something that really is going to to maps to someone and the right tool and in some ways star ranking so even rankings on I tunes are and what sort of it shows up first the search selection as far stars it had a water views that doesn't really tell you much about hell the kind of story like to tell about that is you're used to be a blood pressure out and what you do is you kind of put your finger over the kind of home screen on your phone and the adequate so your blood pressure is great you're doing a fantastic job and no matter what you put your finger and don't matter who it always is so your blood pressure is still great you're doing even better job basically the opposite the gimmick it's just that every time you have the best blood pressure world good job and Alcott really high reviews people says the greatest apnea my doctor tells me I'm not doing well if you to watch my diet it is absolutely great I had almost five stars thousands of reviews all positive in the end if you can just tell it was it was not a useful operators of giving people wrong information and the point being folks about she done studies we've looked at kind of the medical quality of detox and medical utility and show that doesn't really quarterly or mac chopped to what the star ratings are or what the number of user reviews so I can kind of give you some ideas popular but just because it's popular doesn't really mean you're going to kind of know what's going to be medically or psychiatrically useful for you from subway is it can be a little hard to say what is the top back because one these things are always changing into we don't really that the stars can be a little bit misleading and the number you can be a little bit misleading absolutely yeah so it what I'm gathering and what kind of kind of seems important to mention is that you shouldn't be fully relying on an app it could just be another tool in your toolbox and just because a lot of smartphone users says that the app is great it doesn't mean that your doctor would say it's great necessarily exactly or even your friend your parents in other your child it's it's hard to know right either such there somebody's tools out there they all work so differently do the option of study that our group did we collaborate the group in Australia to block talk institute and we actually looked at what are the medical claims around mental health issues out from age with you we D. opt for description three out may say no helps reduce depression and will minimize anxiety and then we did is we have to follow up those claims we kind of went to the library went on the internet we said Hey Kendall claims be backed up with evidence of the after saying it does this thing doesn't really do it and what we found was only have about two percent of the outside she would back up the claim of some type of evidence you can imagine percent not a large number that means ninety eight percent of our kind of our they're not bringing any accidents are crucial you why they should earn your trust order kind of may be exaggerating their claims are kind of extrapolating a little bit I don't think they're trying to mislead people per se but it's certainly the case where you can't really trust everything you're seeing on there and one reason I think that's important for everyone listened to think about is a lot he dropped me look like that a collapse they may have a picture of phone a white coat in the hospital in the backround ambulance and it's a but really very they if you read the fine print it says you know we're a health and wellness you still who cares of the health and wellness topics of medical after the difference becomes legal not a health and wellness out doesn't have to follow all the medical privacy rules that the government has set in place to kind of keep your medical data I've been here if it's a health and wellness center it's kind of like posting something to internet formed up publicly opened the rules are much more promising about what happened to your daughter who sees your data who gets the actions that a lot of these medical out again I even I'm using the word right there lawyers out that look like they're better collapse actually health and well without it because of that they're not really supporting U. as the user of the any of the protections that you kind of are expecting your gas I see okay so yes so it's important for our listeners to know to just kind of approach with caution don't plunge into the deep end on these apps in obviously people are very sensitive about their their medical history all of that sensitive information and so when you're given the absolute that information it's important to to be careful and know where that information is going and also just be cautious of the apps so I mean clearly there are some risks that kind of coincide with the benefits aside from potential you know sharing of information or data or confusing a medical lab with the health and wellness AB are there any other risks that all users should be aware I know I think we kind of touch from earlier but clearly directly benefit to using this tool to return extra tool kind of in your tool kit of things that will kind of help you but I think the thing is if especially the new diagnosis your new symptoms are not sure what's going on it's best to talk to your your family kept their family practice doctor a psychiatrist and therapist because sometimes things that feel like depression or anxiety can have medical causes underlying you get before you kind of say Hey this a psychiatric I want to try to digital pop from the tree that you really want to know what you're treating the most important thing because sometimes there can be say a hormone if your thyroid and I can look just like depression so you don't want to kind of be using one of these pop forms when the diagnosis of the match and I think if you do find one is popcorn beautiful it's worth calling a treatment provider that you work with again be it a primary care doctor family doctor or therapist or psychiatrist Hey I'm using this this is why I like it that's what I'm doing it's important that kind of you don't want to fight with your care you don't want to outsource part of your care here and no one else that kind of is overseeing your medical care or kind of even a family member knows all the different pieces are tools you're using but it's always good to keep someone to live again and say Hey here's how do you think you can match at the extreme cases you don't want one after the diet one doing exercise wanted to medications once the direct line of this one to boot the dead man you're kind of begin fragmenting account all these pieces of that can have just overall negative outcomes by think think your detox is kind of extra extra boost I actually think you can use to kind of get used to a tough spot after you kind of know what you're doing while you're using it and then they can be useful yeah absolutely out of curiosity are there any apps that you use on a daily basis or weekly basis so not that I use right now but I've tried a lot of the and folks have brought me a lot of them to look at and I think I see one of the most impressive suite of apps I recommend to people that actually made by the veterans administration DBA and what I like about the VA oxes are completely free there's no hidden costs are the restrictions the great privacy policy says we don't take your data it's very easy to understand you can check it out yourselves the VA is actually done a lot of research on digital mental health and apps so you can feel confident they've got to look at these tool they've had patients involved in designing the the head commissions that had researchers and they're pretty easy to use the VA apps and you don't have to be just a veteran taxes on their sweet anyone if you just search for the A. acts library or you'll find on the iTunes store and the entrance or I think those are pretty exciting apps to use again because that they have zero cost there's an act that I haven't directly use but I read about a lot in research papers called in telecare you're through from Northwestern University in Chicago and that's interesting applicants idea is instead of kind of watching maybe a thirty minute lecture on therapy of your phone which is pretty hard to stick with you you see out for thirty seconds to kind of learn to re frame of thought you master if you download the new app if you can if you set it is very short bursts over over you can download new apps that your tool kit so I think in telecare versus the different ways to that sort of mental

O. C. is a socialist and you know joy by by putting her first front and center as the face of the Democratic Party he hopes to position the entire Democratic Party as being behind them rather than sort of a more moderate path and so he's a he's thrilled to have them as his nemesis and he tweeted this morning a string of tweets this morning trump also insisted his tweets were not racist quote I don't have a racist bone in my body exclamation point he wrote is with a straight face it urged fellow Republicans not to fall into a quote trapped by voting Tuesday night on the democratic backed resolution this is the house of representatives is preparing today to vote on a resolution condemning president trump fan is in his tweets quote this is trumps latest tweet this morning the democratic Congress women have been spewing some of the most vile hateful and discussing things ever said by a politician in the house or Senate and yet they get a free pass in a bigger brace from the Democrat party trump wrote on Twitter listing several grievances about the lawmakers quote why is on the house voting to review the filthy and hate lace things they have said because they are the radical left and the Democrats are afraid to take tomorrow and sad exclamation point he's got to put in the sad there but as you can see clearly what he's doing is is trying to make the entire Democratic Party Dan behind these four women and make and sort of make them in the face of the debt entire Democratic Party a clear what his strategy is this is the third day in a row of attacks on these women lawmakers I believe they're all freshmen lawmakers to yeah they're all new they're all new yeah women of color and there's got it what is gonna be other new freshmen lawmakers say they must feel kinda left out that they haven't been there that have progressive enough fight over a lot of possibly I'm not sure but we just just given time he'll get to them like you like it doesn't matter focusing on these for right now bill before more tomorrow they're not just these four but I think clearly what the person he's focusing on Moses AOC because she is a socialist and he wants the whole Democratic Party to be forced to defend her socialist views so but I wondered securely is stepping in because what they the Democrats eating themselves alive to begin with they were battling a lawyer and then he has to say this now and now we know all the news coverage is on him and call you a racist was taken the the load off of the Democrats fighting right there and now they look sort of like their United United against trump and ten being calling them a racist saying go back to your own country when three of the four men women are from the US yeah it was a little inaccurate but yet he just doesn't have the tweet Joe he does is we to just worded in question was he sent Shekou his information before you to eat so obviously he's doing this early in the morning I think because I think it was before like seven AM this morning where these twits these latest the tweets came out but I think that he's only too happy to have the focus on those for women and he wants the Democratic Party to stand with them and he doesn't care but as you said Christian that he was he he they they were sort of eating themselves alive before this because they see was was did was attacking them and they were you know clearly not on the same page yeah the Democratic Party has multiple wings state it seems like you have the really progressive wing with these four congresswoman then you get Nancy Pelosi who seems to not even want to listen to any of them right that she's got her own plans and doesn't want to go off for the impeachment right and they're fighting amongst each other in the doldrums steps in and well now they are United in their attacking trump again yeah yeah but yeah as you know he wants to be the center of attention so he's got his wish so we couldn't help himself yeah exactly I don't think you can help himself

Kyrie Irving's Free-Agency Countdown Officially Begins Now

"Is what happens with Kyrie Irving because Kyrie Irving is now in a situation where he's going to become a free agent at the end of the season. And he's head is worse stretch of playoff basketball in his career over the last three games. The guy has literally missed forty three shots in three games. Forty three shots Janta Toco is averaging nearly thirty one points per game in this series. And Kyrie Irving is averaging twenty one and you're saying, well, yeah. Yeah. This is the better player, but Kyrie Irving is supposed to be the alpha male the Celtics team he's supposed to be the star. And he's averaging ten less points per game than the guy on the other side is and after the game when he's asked about he's shooting struggles, he said who cares? That's what kyri ever said. Who cares? We'll tell you. Everybody cares. Right everybody. That's rooting for the Boston Celtics. Everybody on your team cares. Because if you don't perform at a high level they have no opportunity to win the game. He said after he shot eight for twenty two from the field on Friday night that he didn't expect another eight for twenty two performance. He followed that up on Monday with a seven of twenty two performance after game three he called himself, a basketball genius a basketball genius. That just so happened to miss how many shots v. Fifteen in the last game. He played them. But Cairo is telling us all that. He is a basketball genius. And for all the things that have happened this year with Kyrie Irving and the Celtics organization he's called out his teammates multiple times. He said the young guys aren't ready to win a championship yet. And to that I would say kyri you're not exactly ready to championship as the alpha dog yet. You could do it when you're playing side kicked. Lebron James, right? It's like those motorcycles with little sidecars. Kyrie was in the sidecar. You can do it as the guy in the sidecar. But you can't do it as the guy actually driving the motorcycle, right? Yeah. I'm able to prove that you haven't done that yet. So kyri you have not proven. You can win a championship yet as the main guy. Okay. So all the rumors all season long were about New York because kyri Irving originally said that he wants to stay with the Boston Celtics as long as the organization would have him. He did a commercial with his father where he said, I want my jersey retired in the rafters here in Boston. Right. So he said all that stuff. And then when he plays the game at Madison. Square garden. He says asked me about my free agency on July first, he also referred to the New York Knicks as a great organization, he's the first person ever to refer to the Knicks as a great organization, they have one of the worst odors and professional sports in James Dolan. But it appears that Kyrie Irving could be interested in going to the Knicks, and they are the favourite to land Kyrie Irving in free agency. So say, hypothetically, he decides to go if he follows Kevin Durant again, it would be something that is a masculine for Kyrie Irving because their whole reason he wanted out of Cleveland is he wanted his own team. Right. And he basically got the best situation to get his own team. He had to number three picks, Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum. He had out Horford. Who's a great player? The guy's a great defender. Great shooter does everything for you. Great passer at the big man position. So you had a great roster around you, and you were unable to take advantage of that as the guy. So maybe Cairo Irving is learning. What were you all are finding? Out is Kyrie Irving just isn't a main guy. And if he does go to New York, and he does go there to play with his good, buddy. Kevin durant? What would that be saying? He would actually be admitting. What we've all been asking about. Kyrie Irving is can you actually carry a team because if you go there to play with Kevin Durant? Sorry kyri. Kevin durant? The best player on the team. That's pretty damn obvious. So you'd be going there to be Kevin Durant sidekick you'd be getting back in that little small seat in the motorcycle alongside Kevin Durant. Just like you were doing with the Brian James. So you'd actually be admitting that you were wrong about yourself. You were wrong that you could carry a team to a high level to an NBA championship caliber level. You'd actually be admitting that but moving forward with this thing say hypothetically that they get Kevin Durant and Kyrie goes to play with his friend because he can't carry his own team. He goes there. Then the question becomes if the Knicks are able to win the draft lottery. Would they be willing to go all in and make another big move? Because what the Knicks could do which is amazing to me to even fathom this. The Knicks have been one of the worst run organizations in sports they've given out bad contract after bad contract. James Dolan has been a mess off the court the issues, which is Oakley. It goes on and on right? There's been so many issues with the New York Knicks. Okay. This team that was so dumb. Carmelo Anthony only wanted to play for the New York Knicks. He was in the final Ervin's contract. And you got it your roster to trade for Carmelo Anthony when he would have signed with you in the off season. Anyway. Okay. This is that same organization this organization could in a couple of months land to stars in Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant. Just because they're located in New York and just because they play in Madison Square Garden. It's kind of like the Dallas Cowboys like players want to play for him. Not that it's bringing them any high level of success. But because of the Dallas Cowboys, right? The Knicks are kind of that team like just because it's the Knicks and its New York, and it's Madison Square Garden, apparently people go there and with Kevin Durant is. It's this whole situation of well. I'm never going to get the credit. I properly deserve in Golden State, or at least. I'm never going to get the credit. I think I deserve. So if I go to New York, and if I carry a team there, maybe I will win back the fans that left me saying it was a cowardly moved to go to Golden State. So you have two guys at grumpy, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. Then the question becomes if you win this lottery. Are you going after Anthony Davis do because that's the next good legitimately? Do. That would be the best piece that anybody anybody in the league could offer the New Orleans pelicans, the number one pick in the draft, which would mean, essentially the rights design Williamson. Okay. So you could have that if you're the New Orleans pelicans. That's why they made the right move the whole time I've been trying to say this by taking the Lakers deal because now Philadelphia maybe they become involved. They put Ben Simmons in this thing. We know the Celtics could offer Jason Tatum. Jalen brown. If say, hypothetically that they think that Kyrie irvings gonna stay. So there's that package out there. The Lakers packages still. There. There will be mystery teams that come around in this thing and Zion. Williamson out of all the stuff that people could offer. He would be the most attractive piece that anybody could offer. So the Knicks out of pure ineptitude. The Knicks pure incompetence could actually have the best trading piece to pick up a third superstar to pair hypothetically with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. They've been so bad that somehow this could result in them this summer landing Kevin Durant's, kyri Irving. Anthony davis. Because of the fact they've been so bad like Kevin Durant going to New York. It's not like he's going to a winner. Right. That's part of the reason he can leave golden safe for New York is essentially what he's saying is. Yeah, I'm going to place. It hasn't won since Phil Jackson was a player ongoing place. That's desperate for a winter. Like he can actually sell going to New York because it hasn't wanted a high level the franchise he can actually sell that. That's a selling piece for him to go to New York to win fans back, and you know, the Kevin Durant. The second he signs on the dotted line or the second. He releases something whatever like the player's Tribune. Or something the second. He does that. He is a hero in New York. He's a hero in New York. Okay. And it's all because of this organization's incompetence they've been so bad that Kevin ranker justify going there. They were so bad this year that they could have the number one pick in the draft which they could either use on Williamson who's the best prospect since Anthony Davis or they could use. I n Williams to trade four Anthony. Davis depending on what kyri Irving and what? Kevin Durant could hypothetically what could hypothetically want. Now, if I was New Orleans that would be the easiest trait of my life. Okay. So Anthony doesn't wanna player he has an opt-out after this year. He's going to be a free agent next summer. You're telling me that you're gonna give me Zion. Williamson I could get Zion. Williamson who is the best prospect since this guy Davis that we Drake that we drafted years ago. Okay. Yes. Sign me up for that one. But man, I got to tell you this. And I understand that the Knicks. There's not really a reason to hate them because they haven't been good in a while. But would kyri Irving and Kevin Durant pairing be like the most unlikable pairing in the NBA? This would be worse than the Dwayne Wade. Chris Bosh, LeBron James pairing, right or the trio if you will because that was the reason people hated that trio wasn't because Dwayne Wade was dislike -able it wasn't. Because Chris Bosh was dislike it was. Because of the fact of how they did it, right? Lebron did the whole decision thing. And then they had that. Press conference where they came like out of the ground. And the bronze said not one not two not three that championship thing. Right. So that's why that team became dislike -able, but this team in New York would be dislike -able because of the guys. Right. They hate the media. They go after everybody they seem like they feel like they're victims. Right. We've seen with Kevin Durant time after time where he thinks that he's a victim. Same thing with Kyra. Kyrie Irving thinks he's a victim like Cairo serving. Also, there's no accountability. Kyrie Irving the guys not accountable for anything the other night when he misses twenty two shots. He said I wish I took thirty the guys not accountable. He talks about the shooting woes. He says, I'm not worried. There's no accounting. There's no I haven't played well in this series. I have to play better on the reason. We're losing I have to be better on the leader of this. There's none of that. There's no accountability whatsoever. When his team is struggling during the regular season. What does he say the young guys don't know what it takes to win a championship? So there's no accountability with Cairo Irving, everything that happens to Cairo Irving. That goes against his legacy that works in a negative manner. He tries to spin it in a way that it's the media's fault. He blamed the media for the Celtics locker room issues. He said the media tries to rip apart locker rooms kyri. You're the guy that's called out the young guys. You're the guy that got in the coaches face after he called the play for somebody else. You're the guy that yelled at Gordon Hayward on the court for passing Jason Tatum. When he was wide open at the end of the game against the magic this year. When Tatum was trying to win the game. You're the guy that did all that. You're the guy that has had a bad effect on the locker room. You're the guy that said you can't wait around for Jalen Brown. You're the guy that did all this. And he had the DASS ity to blame the media to blame the media for trying to destroy his locker room when he was doing all that stuff internally. He had the gumption to say something along those lines. And also you factor in remember when hiree Irving and Kevin Durant were at the all star game. And there was that video that emerged where it looked like Kyrie was saying to max lots and then Kyrie Irving when in. Hey reporter, I should say here in Boston. The Boston Herald Stevo pet gave him the opportunity. He said, hey, you wanna kinda pour water on that? Because that video had leaked out. There any said that you guys just do this for the likes and clicks. And this guy Steve pet that didn't tweet video didn't even write about the video and was just asking Cairo to comment on it in Cairo Irving said you guys just do this for the likes in clicks. He said, do you think this is what the fans care about this exactly what the fans care about? If you're gonna leave the fans actually really do care about that. That's why Kevin Durant free agency and your free agency. And Anthony Davis is trade destination. Those have been like the hottest topics in the NBA season. So Mike God that team with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant who had faked Twitter accounts. So he could go after fans fans that were criticizing him for leaving for Golden State two years later, he was still upset about that to the point where he put on Twitter that it's because it was Russ and nobody else around like that's why he left it. He'd. Didn't have enough around him to win a championship. He felt the need to defend himself on Twitter to just the random person that was tweeting at him. He made up a fake burner Twitter account. So that he could attack fans. Okay. Those two guys would be teaming up and possibly they team up with Anthony Davis who used to be likable. But now Anthony Davis says on LeBron show the shop that he couldn't believe after he asked for a trade that the fans booed him. He's like I poured seven eight years in there. And I go out there. And they me Anthony you ask the organization for a trade.

Crowdsourced AI learns to target lung tumors for radiation

"So got a fresh piece of research for you guys quite literate literally hot off the presses today in JAMA on college. It was like I said released this morning, and it has to do with the use of artificial intelligence in cancer care specifically related to lung cancer. And so just to give you guys a little background. Of course. Lung cancer remains the second most common cancer and the leading cause of cancer mortality in the United States. There's approximately one hundred fifty thousand deaths estimated in twenty eighteen not to Bom anybody out, but we have some solutions here. Artificial intelligence is helping us out here. So the piece of research that I'm hoping to discuss today is having to do with an artificial intelligence based. Solution in radiation therapy targeting. So radiation therapy targeting is pretty simple. It's basically if somebody does have a tumor a cancerous tumor radiation therapy, targeting just deals with the radiation patient is receiving in the precise target on the tumor that the radiation has to arrive that to be able to get rid of that cancer, treat that cancer, hopefully, creating a good outcome for that patient. So artificial intelligence is helping us here in this research shows that computers. AI are actually hunting cancer faster than humans. Yup. You heard that correctly computers have beat again. And so this piece of research that I'm looking at here, which by the ways out of Brigham and women's Dana Farber was aimed at replicating the accuracy of an expert radiation oncologists. So he I is replicating. This accuracy of an expert who of course, has years of training years of expertise. And so now there could be some. AI solutions for helping patients who do have lung cancer who do have complications with that. And. Can assist doctors in targeting this cancer in finding it and for mitigating that radiation therapy targeting? So yesterday, I spoke with Dr Raymond MAC. He's the first author of the study, and he's a radiation oncologist at Brigham Brigham. And women's he told me that these solutions they're developing quickly. They're very useful. But they're not a hundred percent viable

"Michael Cohen when everyone in this room to think about this the first announced witness for the hundred and sixteenth. Congress is a guy who is going to prison in two months for lying to congress. Mr Chairman, your chairmanship will always be identified with this hearing. What this is hearing for heavy-handedness. Straight up there about the business of the day. I think. Choreograph the whole. Cummings rose out all sorts of historic. These people are crazy than I am. No. He told her staff he told the committee staff, he said, the hearing was his idea he selected this committee. He had to talk Michael Cohen into comment, and most importantly, he had to persuade the chairman to actually have it. He told us took two months to get that job done. But here we this is what Americans like about politics. Yeah. I find the posturing someone convicted of lying to congress has appeared again so quickly in front of congress. Certainly it's the first time a convicted perjurer has Cota or no, he's shirtsleeved, sir. And there's a reason why subject really burning mechanical. Bernie sanders. Canadian we got lots of lawyers on this. No, it's actually sorta slick. I'm a witness to violate attorney client privilege. Mr Chairman, we legitimize dishonesty, we de-legitimize this institution. We're supposed to pursue the truth. But you have stacked the deck against the truth. We're only allowed to ask certain questions even with that amendment. You just told us about Russia's now on the table. You initially told us we can't ask questions about the special counsel can't ask questions about the southern district of New York. Can't ask questions about Russia realized that if he gets stuck in. I'm going to be harmful to the president of the United States and the answers to those questions. I'm gonna come from a guy who can't be trusted. Here's what the US attorney said about Mr. Cohen, Mr. Cohen enjoyed a privileged life, his desire, forever, greater wealth and influence precipitated. An extensive course of criminal conduct. Mr. Colin committed four four distinct federal crimes over a period of several years. He was motivated to do. So by personal greed and repeatedly repeatedly used his power and influence for deceptive in could hire a piece of shit like that. They don't care. They just wanna use you Mr. Cohen. You're their Patsy today. They gotta find somebody somewhere to say something. So they can try to remove the president from office. Tom Steiner told him to Tom. Seek organized a town hall guess where cut replaced. George Soros or Charles coke townhall, guess where Sheldon Adelson district in Baltimore. The best. They can find the best. They can find to start this process. Michael Cohen well in this complete waste of time in the circus. Federal inmates. Seems like there's real works. If the congress could be doing. I'll say one thing about the Democrats. Oh, wait, they stick to the playbook. Remember, I'd like myself. Rex the Clinton campaign hired Perkins. QE law firm who hired Glenn Simpson who foreigner Christopher Steele who put together the fake dossier air, we go that the FBI used to go get a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign, but when that whole scheme failed and the American people said we're gonna make Donald Trump president. They said we got to do something else. So now Clinton loyalists Clinton operative. Lanny Davis has persuaded the chairman of the oversight committee to give a convicted felon a forum just tell stories and lie about the president of the United States, whatever we can start their impeachment process. Mr Chairman, we are better than this. We are better than this. Are you back? Nicely done. He said everything he knows the chairman actually I want. I jesus. I don't give these back. So. Yeah. I was making a one point three billion dollar bid for the company which owns more than one hundred daily newspapers across the country hostile takeover. Indeed digital I which owns the Denver post. The San Jose Mercury news in about one hundred fifty other papers is so well known for gutting the newsrooms of the newspapers at buys that critics have called it a quote destroyer of newspapers since twenty twelve digital. I has cut two thirds of staff members at its twelve largest unionized papers. According to the Wall Street Journal critic say laying off journalists isn't just bad for the quality of the papers. But for democracy itself with subscriptions. And revenue down more than eighteen hundred newspapers of closed in the US since two thousand four with fewer local watchdogs, some stories don't get covered. An investigative journalism is hard to come by. But digital firsts argument is that shareholders come first, and they say shareholders deserve better than they're getting from Gannett whose profits have been declining last week digital I reveal that with seven and a half percent of Gannett shares. The media group is Gannett largest shareholder, which could give them the power to force the USA today owner to sell while critics bemoaned the decline of journalism in favor of higher profits digital first claims it wants to save newspapers touting its recent purchases of the Boston Herald and the Orange County. Shark attacks and kills a man who was boogie-boarding at a Cape Cod beach

"A serious note before the Cape cards Cape Cod shark attack that killed somebody. A victim told the victim told his at sharks don't bite me on superman before he was fatally attacked on Saturday. Arthur Medici told his aunt that sharks wouldn't bite him. The Boston Herald reported I believe he was just out black boogie board out in the in the water. And I think he had he had a wet suit on. "Good somewhere. Boston Herald The Boston Herald. Welcome back. Frank Boston Herald radio I'm coming Frank. John. Francetti john. We've talked a lot about race talked a lot about the seventh district race in for congress between Presley and Representative Mike Kappa Oiseaux these smaller races like the one John. San Diego's running against Byron rushing are for districts within those races. And I wonder what the interplay between those races and turn out. It's going to be conventional wisdom is people are gonna turn out more for the top of the ticket racist. So maybe more people show up in in his incense that want to support a challenger. And I had a Presley and decide also punched his ticket as a challenger at the lower level. I think that given the way grassroots politics works in Massachusetts that that Jon San Diego shotgun duo who's running for high park based seat against Angelo Scotia. I wonder if they are going to end up their campaigns turning out people that actually end up helping people Presley or one of the candidates running for DA could be the trickle down theory. Right. Because if you get out in the seventh and your supporter Vianna Presley, you probably going to look at someone who's a fresh phrase like John Santosh. And support him. So anyway, that you can get more people out to vote and we've talked about this. It's unfortunate that the election is the day after Labor Day. I think a lot of people aren't even aware that and people that are really into politics, like us know and can't wait to vote and cover it throughout the day in the evening. But yeah, you can have that type of turnout, obviously, when you get to a presidential elections completely different because everybody's out voting for that. But I think that's a very good point. Kevin and that may help John San Diego in his his campaign. More people get out maybe want to have change of fresh face and someone who's going to come in with some new ideas. I think that that's the case in Suffolk County in the seats. I mean, you're looking at your voting in Winthrop the only race you're really going to have to go out for that day is is the DA's rate. That's it. The no one's in challenging bobbly. Oh, no, not at all. Joe job on Corey Senator is not going to be challenged. So maybe there's some local. Right live in. I think the fourteenth Suffolk is the Chicago race. You could be turning out and supporting challenges across the board short in that mood, and and it could help that's a different dynamic than is happening in the third congressional district, for instance. So I would have to think that bodes well for Presley, maybe maybe one of the few structural advantages that she actually enjoys in that race, given the cheese a challenger, and yeah, I'm coming in. Because you never know how people are going to react to something. They may say, well, let's try something different bring in someone with do ideas. Someone from the outside in see how that works and they can kind of help each other going forward. Again, we have to obviously realize what the turnout is going to be on Tuesday weather could be a factor. If there's rain involved could turn down have the turn out be lower. But I just think that having it on September fourth day after Labor Day is gonna do enough damage of of not having as many people out to vote. But I think those interesting sub races can certainly get more people out in those districts, and you know, what else is asking me about this this day. Day after Labor Day choice. Of course, that choice was made by secretary of state Bill Galvin himself in a spirited race. That's another race. I forgot to throw in there. You're the nice race. You can you can come in and vote for him to but not only did Galvin picked that date. And he's got an argument about giving the law some holidays it had to be here. It had to be there. He's also on record as he does before most elections predicting the turn out and he's saying he predicts the turn out will be ambitious fully low. It's different when he's when he's in the race. He's a he's an he's in a spirited race. With a challenger low turnout would seem to benefit generally benefits, the entrenched incumbents. It's it's part of the weirdness that we have in this country because in our state systems a lot of times that she elections. People are elected officials, we run our elections, mostly at the town and city level. The election administrators are not always not elected. They're appointed by elected officials. Maybe, but it seems to me Bill Galvin can be on the record making a prediction, which could also sort of become reality because she's predict. Yeah. Exactly people are going to hear low turn out. I'm not going to bother going. What's the point of going into hearing that from someone who's being challenged? And it's almost like should that position. Even be a political position should be an appointed position should their election be handled differently. But then no one would turn out of you had just a special election for secretary of state in June who's gonna turn out by that. I mean, it's kind of a chicken or egg type situation, and it's just unfortunate. I just think we should be voting on weekends. They do it in most of the world here for some reason. It's tuesday. We should we should. I mean, we've we have to vote on Tuesdays in presidential elections. Is that the constitution says it, and maybe so we changing that. But yeah. Voting on Saturdays would be much much better for working, folks. And I think the way it is now is people don't need many much of an excuse to not vote. Exactly, you think about we even in my polling place. I've I've never waited in line since I moved there, and I live in depending on the election could be the highest turnout precinct in my ward in Boston. But you still think about it as having to go wait in line. And if you're an election where you don't really know the differences between the candidates, you haven't really decided, you're not really passionate about any of the candidates. You don't need many excuses to not show up and hearing the secretary of state's say, well, don't worry about it. Most of your neighbors won't show up. Anyway. Right. That's a great way to get people to get his people out. So he's going to win. And I think also just the mechanism of this. You talk about the polls open at seven AM the close at eight. So there's a thirteen hour window on a Tuesday. Which by the way tends to be the day. Everyone goes to work, you know, people take a day off. It's usually a Monday or a Friday Tuesday's like one of the most attended days of work throughout the week. I mean, it'd be this week. He will. Yeah. So especially. Yeah. This is like the end of the summer. So everybody's going to be ready to go to work on Tuesday. Oh, I'm supposed to vote today. But also the fact being that if let's just use this as an example, you've got a married couple with kids, and they're going to get the kids ready to go off to school because school's back, and then they've got to get themselves ready to go to work. They work all day pick kids up, maybe grab dinner all that's happened within about a ten hour period. And now, it's six o'clock at night, or whatever it may be in there like tired and the kids are cranky. And they've got to put them to bed, and it's like the whole you. Take those thirteen hours. Polls are open subtract nine hours for people to work and commute back and forth. Yes. So then you have. For parents for kids. I mean for any any people like really, I mean, I'm a rare weirdo who wakes up early on the day of election. I cannot wait to go put that on. But for a lot of people who even take joy in voting. It's it's hard to do all of the responsibilities. You have going on in your life. So we'll see. I'm cautiously optimistic about turnout. I think at least in some areas Suffolk County may be one of them. I think it'll be better than abysmal that third congressional district up in that area. Some of those small towns, it just might be hard. If they don't have anything else going on getting people to turn out. But I I'm cautiously and just very slightly optimistic. But there are some contentious racist going on. There's also a DA's race for berkshires. And you know as much as this discussion leading up to the primary election. It's been about challengers Johnson Seattle. The presi race people saying we're not gonna wait our turn. We think represent representation in congress aren't beacon hill said look more like the neighborhoods turned the truth is we could wake up Tuesday and see that not much else has changed the primary election for a lot of these seats. It's going to be a democrat who wins. So the primary is going to be determinative as I was saying earlier to Johnson, they we already know last year. The Democrats are gonna have a statewide ticket. That's all white candidates in contested races. Are that can we could we could have an all white congressional delegation nomination for for congress, the Massachusetts Republicans, by the way are not putting up an all white. Slate. Koirala's lending for auditor. I think and they, you know, the Massachusetts Republicans also had the first LGBT statewide candidates. They beat us to the punch and a lot of these things. So we could wake up on on next Wednesday provided the races are known NC a complete change in the political landscape in Massachusetts where we could wake up and find that nothing's changed and the most spirited energetic. Challenge to the status quo in Massachusetts democratic politics in years has been totally rebuffed mean we could we could wake up either way on Wednesday. It'd be interesting thing. I'm seeing also Kevin is you've got the Senate race the Republican primary for the Senate race and someone's going to win that. And then it's just going to be the person who's going to be defeated by Elizabeth Warren. And then you have the democratic primary for governor and someone's going to win that and just going to be the person that goes up and gets beat by Charlie Baker. So it's like you win something on Tuesday night, the denomination. And then what it's not like you're just going to go on to the next level in. It's almost like if you're the basketball teams in Eastern Conference. Okay. You win the conference championship, and you go get to play the Golden State Warriors swept races are gonna they're gonna they're gonna be perceived a lot differently after next week. I mean for one we're going to have just many fewer competitive racism for the primaries over the third district congressional race. The ninth district might be competitive Diverses are the DA seats. None of those countywide offices are going to be competitive. So we're gonna need to focus our attention on something. And there's a there's a good argument that if you're Geoff Diehl or whoever wins the GOP primary or Jagan Dallas or Bob Massey. Who wins the gubernatorial primary even what everybody thinks of the race. You're you're the nominee of your party, you need to get some attention for the stuff. You do Scott lively got a lot of attention. He's been on Harold radio. I personally he's been on Frank talk. He's been on our show before because thirty percent of the Republican delegates at the convention decided he was a legitimate candidate. So Jacob's house. Bob massey. Or whoever wins the the clown car?.

Patriots To Adjust Tom Brady's Contract; Add $5M In Incentives

"Years and speaking of Jimmy Garoppolo who is now the second highest paid quarterback in football behind Kirk, cousins Tom Brady's got a new. Contract some additions on. There it's a five million dollars in incentives to go on with that fourteen million dollar based. Salary why the hell do you have to give Tom Brady incentives as this is stuff that drives me nuts about football. Visible that's. Awesome with the, cap you can Manipulated by doing by, putting. An incentives like this is ridiculous I'm, sorry I mean you've, got to figure out a way to not do this this, guy has been here almost twenty years I think. You kind of know what he's done and what he's going to continue to, do what I know but died yesterday floated the story that in practice it was shaking his arm that maybe he's not quite right hasn't looked great in training camp and maybe. By not, appearing at the voluntary OTA's it's catching up to him and practice has been kind of disjointed right two days off a day on Brady gets his birthday off so they're not up. To the, speed that they normally are but. This guy you have to give him. Incentives you're looking at like it's a slap in the face to Brady were really it's a way to manipulate the cap is not a slap, in the face of this is. A way to manipulate. The castle is so is the incentives you don't have to I I this is why I. Also think that you should almost take the quarterback salaries out of the salary cap because they're going to make so much. Money and. You have to, pay quarterbacks Get the best quarterback the Brady white sign it because I'm sure it's fine I'm just looking at it to someone that admires the guy when I. See incentives, for player like that I'm like that's what's wrong with football okay but it's a way to manipulate that's all it is yes I've heard that a couple times already you're trying to Federal case again into making a federal case because here's a guy again I remember, remember when Joe. Torre left the New York Yankees they said okay we're going to we're going to give you. A contract but we're. Going to, have some incentives in there you'll make a half a million dollars. If you win the American League east you'll, make. Another half a million if you. Win the American League and he's. Pretty, much said, damn, all, set, I've, earned, my right that. I don't need to have incentives incentives for people that aren't motivated this guy is, motivated God forbid the, patriots do something that's smart for the rest of the. Team they after just all bowed out Tom Brady whatever Tom Brady them for seventeen years Basim bow down. To them, recently well it's no no. No. No no no that's not true. You know this job. Because, of their west Welker contract and he's. Taken pay cuts Yeah so they should do, its best to the teams Except for Tom Brady and not give him things that help the cap and just give him the guaranteed money and then tied. To the cat because they realize what they should. Do they. Didn't keep his one of his favorite receivers Danny amendola he's. Bringing in, wide receivers that looked like they were. Retired I mean Eric decker looked like, he? Was retired he was hanging out with his wife right and now he's coming back and they're going to try. To see if he can make something out of himself teams that screw, themselves over are the teams that do whatever the hell the players all the, time and give them all the money that. They. Want and that don't care about is not true The Vikings done that and giving Kirk. Cousins biking's aren't aren't gonna win a championship

"The smartest guys in the business who's here call had three hundred million dollars in a super back a couple of years ago didn't win a single race at the end of the day here we have to rethink how we do it you to get organization you've been ten million dollars romania might have won this race the democrat llamas arguing that it had nothing to do with donald trump in that district i find that a little hard to believe well first of all because the case you're making about trumping everywhere well i two things the trump guys you know the bottom line what it did is everybody expected trump can ride in on the big horse in air force one and turn this thing around he made close but he can't he can't get it across the finish line every candidate running and we sitting here the day after this midterm election and hopefully this is going to be just exactly like this let me arguing about very close elections there's about seventy republican races in play we have thirty six open seats which incumbents not running they have sixteen so this was an open seat you didn't have any come and running so it's a whole new game so i think there's the suburbs where we have to worry about places like california with that six or seven seats and play out there a couple of seats here in new york couple seats in jersey and that'd be three or four in pennsylvania because that's taken place i have more questions but only time for one of them john casick was on tv yesterday for the first time actually since i've seen in a long time he's making the case grew up in south western pa that the unions have been energized and they were back in this race what trump has done is trump has energized the democrats republicans obviously are very much but democrats are very very energized today and they think they have a real opportunity we have.
