'Killing Kennedy' Author Jack Roth Discusses Lee Harvey Oswald

"Let me ask you, you know, excuse the kind of cruel pun, but gun to your head, what happened in Dallas, Texas. I try to avoid the gun to my head. And in the book, I tried 'cause, yeah, I'm a journalist. Documentarian, and I'm like, oh, what do I say at the end of this? And I learned a lot. But what I tell people is, when they ask me, who killed Kennedy? The first thing I say is the Cold War, and it's cold warriors. Killed candidate. And what I mean by that is it was the times in which Kennedy governed that got him killed. That's my first answer. And my second answer, I know who didn't kill Kennedy. I'm feel very confident about who didn't kill Kennedy. And that's Lee Harvey Oswald. So let me ask you, do you think do you think Lee Harvey Oswald was in the Texas school book depository at the time? Or do you think he was somewhere else? I think he was there. He was told, you know, that's where his job was and he was doing certain things. And it isn't intelligence capacity. And he may or may not have been in front of the building. There's controversy about a photo there that shows really looks like Oswald there. But again, not definitive, whatever. It is very interesting. But I think he was in there because that was part of the setup. And I also think that he went to the Texas theater because his CIA handler told him to meet him there. And that's why he goes there. And within minutes, there's, again, a hundred Dallas police officers there arresting him. There's so much to that that just doesn't make any sense. And so yeah, I think Oswald was oswalt actually, I'll go ahead and say this. And if you read the book, you'll see why, because of what a lot of people say. He actually thought that he could prevent the assassination. And I think he was told by his handler and by, you know, whoever his bosses were, that he was there to infiltrate Cuban exiles, the Cuban exile community,

Jack Roth, Author of 'Killing Kennedy', Joins Charlie to Dig Deep

"With us is Jack Roth, who is the author of killing Kennedy exposing the plot to cover up and the consequences and Jack Roth joins us now. Jack, welcome to the program. Thank you. Thanks for having me on Charlie. I appreciate it. From a young age, I was convinced that there was more to the story when it came to the assassination of Kennedy. It's very obvious to me for a variety of reasons. But tell us about your book and make the kind of layman argument for someone that is not really in the weeds of the zapruder film and Kevin Costner's rendition of it and actually walking in downtown Dallas and seeing the Texas school book school book depository in the grassy Knoll. What is the kind of short version of why you think there was more to the story when it came to the JFK assassination? Yeah, well, I think you have to start with the idea of being a critical thinker when you think about these types of things. And for me, I was like you. I was born in 65, you're younger than me. But I missed the assassination by two years. But I always felt since I was young kid that there was something not right. And that's just by using common sense. The idea that Jack Ruby would get into that police station and shoot Oswald take Oswald out. So now there's no trial, right? Oswald can't talk anymore. So there was so much to it. And over the years I read, I'd read more and I'd read more. But I felt that there was even as time goes by, right? We're reaching the 60th anniversary this year. And I felt that still mattered. And I felt like it was important to reach other people and document some interesting things and present that. The fact that there have been ripple effects that have changed this country since that day,

Was There a Second Shooter in the JFK Assassination?

"Charlie, the government released more several batches of the JFK documents. So was there a second shooter or not? So we have a fair amount of younger listeners that might not be let's just say familiar with the entire Kennedy assassination story. Now full disclosure, I've spent a lot of time on this topic. In fact, when I was much younger in high school, I watched every documentary, I studied it in great detail, and so I know it pretty well. And the conclusion that I came away from with it is that there is a 0% chance that the government was not even aware or in some way involved with the assassination of JFK. And then they smear you and they call anyone who daresay that is a conspiracy theorist, but the evidence is so beyond overwhelming that there is something funny that happened with the Kennedy assassination. Now, whether or not there was a second shooter or not remains to be seen, I think it's very clear when you watch a zapruder film that you could see a projectile coming in straight to the right temple, enter of JFK. We'll actually can play that tape for you here. And so for those of you that are young and you don't really kind of know the story of the JFK assassination, let's just set the time and place. I believe the year was 1963 from that mistaken. Dallas, Texas, JFK lands, and was supposed to be with Lyndon baines Johnson, who of course was the vice president of the United States. And was a Texan. Linda baines Johnson was suspiciously missing from the parade that day. JFK piled into a convertible with his wife, Jackie Onassis, or Jackie Kennedy, and also the governor of Texas. It was November 22nd, 1963. JFK starts on the parade route, and we knew this now afterwards, the parade route was changed in a very strange and inexplicable way. And the parade route went all the way around a street by the name of Elm Street. Took a left on Elm Street and the motorcade started to slow down. As the conventional narrative goes, Lee Harvey Oswald, who had a very suspicious past involvement with the KGB potentially or allegedly, was up on the 6th floor of the Texas school book depository museum. As soon as John Fitzgerald Kennedy's motorcade took a turn, Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly took out a bolt action rifle with expert and military precision despite the fact that he was a very poor shot, one of the worst shots it is entire military class. And was able to strike John Fitzgerald Kennedy a moving target while going away from him with a little bit of a, let's just say a three to 4° slant for memory serves me correctly of the motorcade going downhill.

And this particular reporter has a history of being very interesting with facts, but the bottom line is what happened Monday night in Texas. Is elected officials did in an elected position. Did the Uvalde Police Fail the Children and Teachers?

"Take this from the daily mail. Why didn't they go in, chilling first image from inside Texas school shows cups with rifles and ballistic shields and corridor 19 minutes after gunmen entered, but they waited another hour to storm the classroom. Is that incorrect? Well, I think it's not a complete synopsis of what exactly happened. You know, when I read these stories and they say, the officers didn't go in. They don't go through and explain why. They don't give a synopsis of what was the door situation. They paint the picture as if they just stood there and they could go in and they should have went in and the door was wide open and they could have gone in and killed a guy. I don't think that that's the totality of what happened. I think that there's a lot more nuance to it. It appears, in my opinion, that they believe that they couldn't get through the door. They did not have a way to breach the door. There was a search for keys to the door, and it's not as simple as most people think that you could just run through the door and it magically opens and you kill the suspect whom you probably can not see. Given the conditions, it's a lot more to it than this. And I think that people are emotional and they rush to judgment because of the visceral experience of thinking about children being killed, thinking about images that they see without understanding the full context. Okay, so give me the full

"Justice Department to review response to Texas school shooting by Zeke Miller and Michael Associated Press. You vow to taxes. The Justice Department said Sunday it will review the law enforcement response to the shooting and you validate Texas that left 19 students and two teachers dead. The review comes amid mounting pressure and questions about the shifting and at times contradictory information about what happened in the shooting last Tuesday at rob elementary school and how police responded, Justice Department spokesman Anthony Coley, said the review would be conducted an affair impartial and independent manner, and that the findings would be made public. The review is being conducted at the request of Vivaldi's mayor, official said. In a statement, Coley said the goal of the review is to provide an independent account of law enforcement actions and response that day and to identify lessons learned and best practices to help first responders prepare for and respond to active shooter events. Handling the review as the department's office of community policing services. Such a review is somewhat rare and most after action reports that come after a mass shooting are generally compiled by local law enforcement agencies or outside groups. Authorities revealed on Friday that students and teachers repeatedly begged 9-1-1 operators for help even as a police commander told more than a dozen officers to wait in a school hallway. Officials said the commander believed that the suspect was barricaded inside an adjoining classroom, and that there was no longer an active attack, the revelation caused more grief and raised new questions about whether more lives were lost because officers did not act faster to stop the gunman, who was ultimately killed by border patrol tactical officers. Biden has not spoke publicly about the police response to the shooting.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we got so many people calling in. We're continuing the conversation about the shooting that occurred in Texas where I think at this point there's been 21 people that have lost their lives. I think 19 of them were children. This raging lunatic decided that he wanted to kill people. Not only the people at the school, but he also attempted to kill his grandmother. I don't know if she's passed away or she's still in critical condition at the hospital. And then also on top of that, we have the most idiotic geriatric president that we've ever had in the history of the United States of America, say someone of dumbest things that I ever heard, the most divisive president that we have heard of, get on stage and don't give a single solution, but talk about the Republican Party and make it about politics. The Democrats can not wait to use the dead bodies of black people or children to push a political agenda. Why in the world are we trying to add more laws to the books? It was against the law for him to be for this young man to be on campus with a gun in the first place. It was against the law for him to shoot and kill people to shoot at the police. All of that was against the law. It didn't stop him. Why? Because the laws is not going to stop anybody from doing things. What we do need is we need security at the schools. We need to give the teachers the opportunity to carry a gun so they can protect their students and those things that we can do now. Trying to take guns away from American citizens is going to take decades. And there's no way in the world you're going to confiscate all these rifles in the United States of America. Imagine how many stolen guns will never know exist. That we don't know exist. You think you're going to get those guns off the streets? You can forget about it. Craig, for Florida. Welcome to the Austin show. Oh, hello. Is this Brandon? Yes, sir. Officer Tatum, how are you doing? Thank you for coming. I'm doing well. Anyways, listen, the answer, all these rotten evil politicians, they know exactly the answer. They surround themselves with adult adult men and women. I am to the teeth. They're all carrying, okay? That's how they stay safe. That's how they keep themselves safe in their family safe. Armed guards. They know exactly what they will do for our school kids. They want two of our kids..

There was something that I wanted to say. Oh, call in. There's a whole bunch of people already calling in, but I know a lot of people want to be a part of this discussion. 8 four four 9 zero zero 7 two four three 8 four four 9 zero zero 7 two four three. And before I get to the college, I want to play this clip because I feel like that is absolutely invaluable to honor the heroes that showed up on this particular gruesome day in Texas to support and save the lives of these kids or as many as they could, wrote a film. Spawning officers going around the school busting out the windows, getting kids out any way they could. You saw the video of children being rushed out of the school. They were trying to get them out any way they could. But at that point in time, what we're being told is responding officers, unfortunately, we're having to hear the gunshots going off from inside the school because, again, that gunman had barricaded himself inside one single classroom was shooting in there. Local police tried to get in. He shot at them. They were injured and it wasn't until that elite border patrol vortech agent went in with another tactical team. They did what's called a stacking maneuver where they go in all together. They were shot as they were coming in. He was injured, but they were able to take that killer down and neutralize him. And you know,.

"Welcome to the off state Michelle. Yes. Hi, sir. My name's Tammy. I'm a lavernia Texas. I was calling because I just wanted to mention, and our city, we're in Wilson county. We're right next to Sutherland springs. And that's where we had all the shootings in the church a few years back. But in Wilson county, we just authorized our teachers next year to carry weapons 80% of the teachers will be protecting our students experiences in our school. That's right. And you know, they're taking it to where they're all educated, they've gone out. They've got the training that they need and in Texas, we don't, as you know, we don't have to have a concealed carry. I have a conceal carry. I went out and got the training myself. I'm a nurse. And I want to protect my family, and I was part of the emergency response team at church. And I want to do the right thing, but you know, we all have to start doing our part. And you know, it's by being responsible and carriers. And unfortunately, unfortunately, in Texas, I mean, we're living right on the border. We're all having to learn to start, you know, the government's not protecting us anymore. What are we going to do to protect our children? Thank you so much for coming. Thank you so much for the car, Tammy. I'm running up against the brake but Tammy is 100% everybody calling here have common sense and these are the reasonable Americans. I feel so much patriotism. When I listen to Tammy, we should be uniting. We should be coming together. We should be looking at each other saying less arm up and let's defend our country. We can not wait on police officers. And I was a police officer. I love cops. We can not wait. They can not sit in front of every school at every point in time, especially if they don't order them to, or they don't have a specific unit to do it..

"Water Brandon Tatum, unafraid to tell it like it is. Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, I'm talking to Steven green hunt. He's an expert at this water crisis. I mean, he's expert in many categories, but one thing that he does very well is break down the water crisis in California. He also wrote a book in 2020 winning the water wars. Y'all make sure y'all check that book out. Steven, I had a question for you in the where I came up with a question while I was in the break. I'm probably going to say this wrong, matter of fact, I'm not going to waste my time saying that. I think you know exactly what I'm talking about. The concept of converting ocean water into usable water. Desalination. Desalination. There we go, desalination. Okay. So what is your thoughts on desalination? I mean, there's something that California can do is this something that makes sense, you know, in the break, we were talking about how there's another country that does a really good job at Jerusalem or I don't know what country you're talking about. What country is it? Yeah. Well, Israel's fixed is exorcism. The water crisis. Yeah, through desalination. In fact, the Six-Day War was actually fought over diversions from the Jordan River. So there, when they talk about water wars in California, it's metaphorical. It is real, it's an actual fighting war. Although, yes, there actually was a war over the Colorado River that the Arizona state senator fielded the her own navy. It was kind of a joke. But that actually happened. But as far as desalination, as I mentioned in the last segment, there was a proposal, a privately funded proposal to build a desal plant and honey in Huntington Beach right on the coast at an old energy plant. And the California coastal commission killed it because the concerns over plankton and sea level rise. It's absolutely absurd. I mean, a little bit of plankton being taken in floating well food and the ocean, the size of the Pacific. It's totally absurd, but the coastal commission is extremely anti growth. And although Gavin Newsom did speak out in favor of the plant, his commissioners voted against it. So I guess it was all talk. But desalinated water is more costly than imported water. But the cost of it is going down in comparison to imported water, which is becoming scarcer and scarcer in the prices going up. And also taxpayers have funded a great deal of projects for that imported water, the dams and reservoirs that are hidden in the cost. So I think it's a pretty good deal. And I'd rather pay more for something that we have than pay less for something that you don't have, right? So okay, it costs more, but we don't have any water. So I think it's a really good idea. The environmentalists have been fighting it. And there's a plant in San Diego county that's very successful, but the environmentalists stop the one in Orange County and they're fighting against the one in Marina town near Monterey. So yeah, in Israel though, yeah, they solved their entire water problem with desalinated water. That is interesting. It seems like there's a common theme Steven that the government and these conservationists, these individuals who are out of control in my opinion are causing so many of these problems with theirs fixes that could be had, but they are thwarting them. Just like the fires. Now I'm not from California, but my wife tells me this all the time is that if they would just deal with the brush and kind of clean these forests, then we wouldn't have all of these fires that we see. They're not using resources and cleaning the forest, cutting down some of these trees in certain situations. They are just allowing this stuff to just peeled up and these brush fires are causing extreme damage. Is that an accurate statement or in my off? Oh yeah, now you're completely right. In fact, in your state of Arizona, governor ducey, he signed a bill that allowed. You know how we have inmates in California who provide firefighting services. He signed a bill that allows them to provide brush clearance efforts. And that wouldn't be a bad idea here. And our governor Newsom had boasted about all the fresh clearance he had done, but it turned out he actually reduced the amount of spending on that and I think it was NPR that did a report about how his boasts about what he's been doing on that fall far short of what he's actually been doing. But the problem I think is we have an aggressive environmental community and we're all environmentalists. We want the environment to be healthy. But they have a kind of an ideological and aggressive environmental community that sees conservation as the be all and end all. They don't like they don't like our suburban lifestyles. They just want us to conserve and punish us. I'm exaggerating a little bit. But I think there's this effort to kind of punish us for our lifestyles rather than trust to try to build the infrastructure needed to help us live the lives that we want to live. And so it's a philosophical difference. And if you read Cadillac desert and some of the classic books in California water that have a strong environmental tilt to them, you'll find those things running through it. And you see in another areas too like freeway construction, California doesn't do freeway construction anymore. And up until recently, the population was growing. So we just become ever more congested as our states leaders push us to take bicycles and transit and light rail that people still prefer to drive. So we just keep getting more and more congested. It's common treatment in California. Ladies and gentlemen, you listen to Steven green hunt, wrote a book. About the subject matter, we reason that we're talking about the water crisis in California. Wrote a book called winning the world of wars. I think that that's essential theme, it's weird that we can not get people in the public office that make these decisions that will do us right for the people or at least have enough cognitive ability to say, maybe this is not what my party likes, but this is what will make us better. Maybe we should come to the table and let's have a discussion amongst many different people to come to a solution to the problem because I went to California in the first time I experienced a tremendous amount of traffic. And I thought the traffic was bad on a Sunday Night. I drove in on a Sunday Night and it was 11 o'clock at night and it was traffic everywhere and I said, we're in the world, am I? I don't see traffic like this anywhere else in the country. At least the places that I've been, and so, you know, I just find it very interesting that states like California push these policies that really force people into negative situations, you know, the homeless is out of control because of their policies. The fires are out of control because of their policies. I have one minute, Steven, I want you to let the audience know where they can find the material that you produce, where they can find you Ed. If you do things on social media and.

How do you solve a problem. Michael is solving that problem by taking matters into his own hands. He's defying the governor by requiring students and teachers to wear masks in classrooms. And he's also trying to figure out how to get as many of his staff vaccinated and how to offer virtual instruction without state funding. What i say is that people wanna problem solving.
