"Crease. It was the vision of Jeff Wilson that was able to exploit it. He had nine carries for 59 yards in the first half, had a quick seven yard run Now another good run here. 11 carries 81 yards for Jeff. He will Leave. They bring in Tevin Coleman a motion George Kittle. They toss sweep the kettle side. It's an end around reverse. Coming to Brandon. Are you write with CJ bettered out to block on banjo, the safety in our youth runs. All the way to midfield. Nice action there the toss sweep coming left, and then it's a reverse going back the other way, the brain that are you looking the way they sold it with Kittle going in motion use. Check out that side. It looked like a toss sweep going left the whole way and give Jeff Wilson in the old line credit as well as they've run the football. It's really got those Arizona cardinals like, Oh, man, we're not given one up, and they were all chasing One direction. Terrific play call, I hope. Back against the grain. That's outstanding and again. Kyle does re script to start the second half. So he's like the run action there. Jeff Wilson Junior. So that's the two on the ground. Wilson Junior, the third one After Jeff needed the playoff was a reverse action off of that now boot coming right and throw out of the catch made there by George Kittel, and he's got a first down in the Arizona territory of Andre Campbell Wick with him down, That's twice. They've run the boot to the right to George Kendall. The first half of game 24 yards. Another good game here. 40 Niners here on Arizona's 30 Yard line, Great play by by a great play called by Kyle Shanahan because they booted right into the face of Buddha Baker. And he got a little bit off balance and CJ delivers that ball The wide open. Kendall Kendall's got those heavy duty brake pads, man. Nobody puts the brakes on better than George Kittle. So he's got an 18 yard gain there after a 24 yard earlier, Sir George targeted twice to catch is 42 yards. Gun run Jeff Wilson Jr. Starting right coming left. They're playing Rashard Lawrence on their front of Pecos out now to start actually Pecos in there. He's just gonna rotate in as they need some girth as the 40 Niners are running inside. That's so much the outside runs. They've been doing that a little bit timber. They're running between the tackles, which Jeff Wilson Junior Day who now has 12 carries 86 yard. You know, there's been 1 100 yard rusher this season for the 40 Niners. Believe it or not, it was Jeff Wilson at New England. Let's hope he's on his way for another one. He went for 1 12 that day and three touchdowns And on the third touchdown here, the high ankle sprain was deprived of a mother 100 yard efforts that his 2nd 5 40, Niners, I, Yukos and jet sweet motion could block by Lake and Thomas in the polar to get back there on Hassan Reddick. They get a Jeff Wilson junior off the right side short, Gane. It'll be a third down and three coming up. He got only two yards on that Carrie and his good is Jeff Wilson is running. I still don't think he's 100%. I mean, I'm watching him as he goes down to the ground.

"I Did recently and we had this conversation. Sort of think Julio Jones is everything you wanted. Why received their just? That's me if I get a vote Yes, Charles fans like throwing too like you guys off, you know, on the free Agent street, right? Exactly. So scrappy pes. So DeAndre Hopkins sort of everything you want in life, and we reflect on our Jets. Double trouble podcast. I mentioned how the idea that like the time I had Jamison Crowder, right ahead of Breshad Perriman Crowder, bit safer pair meant a bit more. Most of upside. I have subsequently reversed those two players in my rankings to reflect that. You know what I pick at wide receiver 42 or something? I should be casing upside is about chasing a guy Come on in the water's warm. I love me some Brochard pyramid right? That was a top five fantasy wide receiver. The fantasy playoffs last year like he was a very small sample size and it's different team but showed why he was a first round pick So many years ago, the receiver for fantasy when you stopped five All right, Daniel. All right. Last one we have Matthew, this is for you. Giron Brown. The 40. Niners signed Brown on Wednesday. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Maybe you've heard of them. News or noise on Geran Brown. I darn Is it add urn. Once you said he was of ESPN and remember who it was, but I heard about I wasn't wasn't sure. I feel like I've seen him once or twice in the hallways. But I'm not sure point amount to me next time if you can. I think this is news in this sense. I don't think it's news relevant T drawn Brown, but actually, I've always sort of liked, you know, sort of bounced around the NFL. But like, you know, when he's got an opportunity, I feel like he's done a little He's done. You know a thing here, too, But I think it's news just in the sense that like They're worried. I mean, right, So I mean, you think about you think about Deebo. You think about jail on her, just like, you know, just and we're gonna get into the 40 Niners here in a second. So I think it is news just in the fact that There are concerns about the wide receiver depth on the 40 Niners. And this is another indication that it might be pretty thin after George George Kittle travel double double trouble trouble, double trouble. Double trouble. Double trouble is at this moment they're on double secret probation. It is with great pleasure and honor. Really. It's just one of the highlights of my year to be discussing the defending NFC champions. The Superbowl attending Not winning star San Francisco 40 Niners in our double trouble segment today. Of course, we'll have plenty of to find you inside as they are her beloved San Francisco 40 Niners. But, Matthew, I was thinking about Raheem Mostert yesterday and just sort of are you That was no. Because we did that look like that like this. Why do you ask things like that? What do you ask? Wow, That's a show Violated is today interrupting me? That might be a good double win four point violation. Right? Fire alarm went off. I don't know what went on for 15 you're having is that Matthew's got several large one of that news to this one. This news threw that one. Yeah, one is like if I don't leave now, they're probably get mad at me for showing up late. And this is the 10th. This is a break glass in case of emergency, like, Oh, my God, I was this is this is the call in but you can catch the second half of the show alone. Yeah. Anyways, I was thinking about where he most. Yes, sir. It's like this. Okay. Good, perfect. That's what I want. So because I was thinking about how to frame the conversation around where he most and you and I have him ranked even 25 26 Daniel is about 24. As a teepee amongst running backs right now is 28. I don't know that there's a world that exists where Raheem Mostert finishes as like a mid tier R B, too, because if you think about it and one of your great columns this offseason, I think this was the lead. 100 fax. Correct. It was a blind resume of two players and you painted two very different narratives. They both Raheem Mostert. Correct. So the reason why bring that back and a great column should go find in the archives of ESPN dot com is that doesn't it sort of feel like rain? Mostert has one of two outcomes. One is he's like a top 12 running back behind an incredible offensive line with great explosiveness and one of the best play cars we've seen in the past 25 years. And two. He's so involved in a time share with Tevin Coleman and Jared Makinit, a bunch of other players that you can't even using a fantasy football. You get what I'm saying. Like we had dont five, which is more I have urging his potential outcomes. Yeah, the argument there would be Is that he's both That he starts off red hot and then in the middle of season, McKinnon looks for explosive. Coleman's healthy whatever. And then all of a sudden he goes away. You know, we talked about You know, Kyle, son of Mike, who is famously known for, you know, just shuffling his his running backs and Sha Hannigan's and you know the all of it and and so and, you know, never trust a mike Shanahan running back. And And so there is that chance as well, Because you remember Raheem Mostert did nothing. In the first start of last year. It was all Tevin Coleman, right? Right And then over the second half, it was Raheem Mostert andMe or even towards the playoff run. And so, so there's a chance where he finishes as running back 25 ish where he's just like he's a top 12 guy for the first half of the season, and then he just falls out of favor of the second half or some version thereof. That's the concern. The concern on most of it isn't Isn't the talent because I think we see it right that you know, because he's not a past catcher, but he's an explosive guy. He's somebody that could score a ton of touchdowns this worth noting over his final nine games and again, this goes to the playoffs. This includes like the Super Bowl. This is all during the playoff run. But with the final nine games that Raheem Mostert played Scored 12 touchdowns. Yeah, I mean, like like, so we're sort of like he's got 16 touchdown game 16 touchdown season potential potential. There's going to be the best offensive lines in football, which got even better in the off season when they stole Trent Williams from my Washington, Bruce Allen. Anyway, but but like it's going to be a really good offensive line field, and it's going to be a very run heavy team as well, This is a team that was top five in Russia Percentage Top five and Red Zone rush percentage. We know this so So if you're the lead running back of a team that runs a lot behind one of the league's best offensive line's good things can happen. Moster was amazing down the stretch. And if you look at his fantasy points again, just like in the play offs like Top 10 running back. The concern is no passing game usage. And there are multiple running backs in the backfield. I may he made my love list my others receiving votes in the loveless, by the way, Love hate now out on ESPN.

"SONAM struggling because. I do have four running backs, but There are some very interesting handcuffs that are available. Tevin Coleman, still on the board here latavius Murray's still on the board here. Daryl Henderson Cylinder Board here. This is tough decision. Even, a guy like Michael Hartmann. The only reason I'm not going to me Hartman here is because He has the same by Julio Jones, so that kind be useless But Michael Hartmann could be a good low end You know low to your kind of Flex Guy. But. I'M GONNA. Go with the handcuff of Tevin Coleman here I think a lot of people he's been. You Know Rahim. Most is a great running back. But I honestly don't think that you know he you know. You but I don't think he. He's at dominant And of course, sorry is of course, the defensive start to fly off the board. One two three, four five sixty fences flew off the board. "The dolphins for a fifth round pick you are not surprised by that bin I'm not the if they were they were planning on moving on from bright after last year ma Raheem Mostert breakout really kind of made braces superfluous I wouldn't be surprised to see Tevin Coleman moved on from eventually as well the kind of the kind of like they have a a rotating cast of backs there somebody different each week and I don't think that that that ultimately they wanna be paid I think they want to cost control situation when all said and done so you know they they they paid for guys coming into the thing with Jerick McKinnon and Breida Coleman they pay a bunch of guys use check even at full back they paid a bunch of guys early but I think the idea was to get guys that they can count on there while they try to draft and develop some guys and then eventually start to phase that out as a cost control measure the Broncos or will be on the clock it pick one seventy eight swear through pick one fifty three the dolphins pick is not in yet they're on the clock at one fifty four so called McCabe it's talk about him a little earlier from West Virginia office of tackle prospect Kenny Robinson going to the Panthers he's a safety and as we mentioned was we're going to break the charger selecting wide receiver Joe reed it was an NFL draft record thirteen wide receivers taken in the first two rounds of the NFL draft pretty impressive stuff it is love you lower than than what we thought was going to be drafted that fell it felt like that than the men's yeah I felt like it was gonna be more more guys drafted those first couple rounds you know some people not know Kuiper with so far as to predict twenty to twenty five receivers take at that point but actually cut it backs up something we reported on a Broncos country night that was that despite the tag of it being a deep wide receiver draft class that maybe scouts felt like that there were only five or six guys that really you know potentially thousand your guys you know they're a bunch of contributors in the strap guys who could play in this league and so the airport depth tag was appropriate in that regard but used you know you had fifteen twenty guys that were thirty catch three for your guys not necessarily going out there in and competing with that with a Julio Jones to be a wide receiver you know wanted to in in a in an office so the forty Niners selecting cold mechanics with their Matt Breida pick it's interesting to note to look back and we had a chance to do this just yet but to rile Halleran with never post pointed this out I think it's appropriate we had talked about what the value of the tenth overall pick last year alternately would shake out to be for the Broncos right the trade back to twenty they ended up adding three players in that process instead of getting Devin bush who was on the board of ten that's who the Steelers trade up and as you had reported the Broncos did have interest in Devin bush it was like they didn't like him they actually had him on the car it was on the card if the Steelers hadn't traded up so yeah they do have interest in that but the the day they felt like they could get more value out of a trade back and possibly get more their targets took three players bar bill France Jr lock and Lloyd cushion berry yeah how did you like they won the deal feels pretty good doesn't it ideal pretty handily yeah you're talking about your quarterback you hope is the quarterback of the future even after like doesn't work out I mean he's our quarterback this year got a second round bill fan could be the franchise tight end but you've been waiting to have since Julius Thomas was kind of looking like that guy at least from an officer perspective and would avoid customary your franchise center I mean you could have three pillars of your offense but you were able to get with the exchange of one inside linebacker he's a special player Devin bush is a is a very good player but I mean in the end you want to have guys that can impact you in in multiple ways and your team that's trying to dig out from being a team in the in losing record missing the playoffs is one inside linebacker impact your team more than a tight end a quarterback and your center course not now and it honestly actually the the thing about the lock pick is actually lock with the locked because the other one is actually rising but it's no they took riser with their regeneration pick but they use the lock pick they used the other to move up and get the in the lock that's what I'm set but the riser pick was forced by the fact the bangles are gonna take it next so it kind of it depending on how you look at it you could look at it either way okay fine if you want to say it is right I mean right riser was the reason I say that with you saying that the winter does give context your Dick that look larger pictures that allowed all of that to come together so even the picks they didn't necessarily happen directly from that trade happened as a result of that trade because the Broncos give given the choice between two may have taken to lock their instead of rider but they had a rider that would have gone to the bangles but they were able to because they were to get that they can do all that they give them flexibility so there's more to it than just those specific pieces there's more to the to the to the big picture yeah because you also traded another pic I think was a fourth round or something like that I move up so I mean I'm not including that either you're not just saying that the larger context it's not just theirs is not just looking at it a vacuum yes this happened for the specific picks but if you give the broader context would allow them to go out and take rising with that pick you see other picks to move up and get locked into all these other things there's more I feel like there's more to it than that is not yours it's not just the bomb went off and destroyed Nagasaki it's included also the spread out the fallout would further allow that yeah so that's that's what I try to I think I understand old really we're getting out but the the larger point that I was trying to make and maybe I didn't make it safely the larger point is trying to make is that the Broncos added players stay out of players that are going to hopefully help them long term and the impact it's gonna be felt as far as in the win loss column is gonna be much more substantial than adding an inside linebacker at ten as much as we like to Devin bush I still like Devin bush that and I'm also saying this too because there are there are probably people out there and I know it was pretty evident last year we're doing our show people would point out every single time Devin bush have a good game we get the the random texture the random tweet of people saying up there he goes Devin bush going off what's still a fan too in these days Wester lack doing on our you know so that that's what that was the the running dialogue last year was so no fan is a a project tied in because they're all projects and gather some flashes but it's not good enough yet he's not really destroying leak even though he ended up with a a fantastic year Andrew luck was on I. R. so everybody was like wouldn't Devin bush be helping us more right now well now let's take a step back see what they ultimately got those pics would you rather have Devin bush or would you rather have Durlach Noah fant and Lee Christopher and that's easy that's easy answer that yeah it's not even that something with orange blue glasses on that's just saying right I'd rather have those picks I'd rather have those players right now you have to look is the thing you have to actually pick good players when you make those kinds of traits right like so so the the oldest was still on the Broncos if they would have missed on all their selections and there are plenty of Mrs around all of the selection there missed analyst in this be different conversation we could come back on draft day the year the next year and say man I'd rather have Devin bush the Broncos really missed an opportunity to have that face of the franchise on the defensive side of the ball but you know what then they look at current face the franchise von Miller in future face of the franchise Justin Simmons the Broncos feel like they're they're already in pretty good shape as it relates to the leadership on the side of the ball I think they think they are I think you need to get more athletic than Todd at the inside linebacker you know I I think they like him because he gets everybody lined up is a smart football player but in reality is he someone athletically limited specifically in the pass game but in terms of leadership or whatever yeah they've they've they've got a foundation there you know you've got veterans like Hey Jack you got a young guy whose is solid gold as it gets in the character department Justin Simmons but I know there's been around for a while but get that quiet leadership role we talked to Bradley Chubb last year Bradley Chubb seems like a guy intent on taking a leadership role with this team you know I I I the two guys that jumped out to be the most it being aggressive about the leadership angle that we talked to last year Bradley Chubb on defense court inside on offense and they said that their same draft class they said that from the day they got here they want to be that that foundation in the locker room they'll be leadership voices and they are scared of self that was shame you know brother got hurt but you know I mean even with that he was still he he was still that voice and that guy wants to be that guy gold picks coming off the board here Jason Strawbridge guy you said the real surprise that he lasted this long into the fifth round the dolphins select him there it picked one fifty four and by the way I'll Albert sorry I take that back Adam Schefter was reporting that the the dolphins who ended up trading they are a pick to the forty Niners for Matt Breida they'd kick the tires on Todd Gurley the rams eventually with the jags and litter for net right before settling on memory Jack's price tag offered it was too high nobody was was traded for they wanted I mean I can kind of see it from either way with the jags like I see why they want to get more at a Ford edge for fourth overall pick but in the end the day's worth what somebody will to pay that's exactly it that's it that's insane like like what in the end what what do you think you're gonna probably gonna end up holding onto too long which is apple tree Williams like like sure Williams if you got a day to a day three pick out a member there was a time we're talking about multi first and write multiple first right yeah yeah hang on too long you want you want to the best possible deal and in the end you just have to move on from a player and you're gonna have to accept whatever it is and teams are done about this band they'll they'll talk they'll kinda know they know Hey listen we're for it's not one for the team there's no way of giving you a day two pick that do right now you're getting they're gonna move on from him yeah there's nobody I I would never give a day to pick up or they want to go for running back sorry yeah ever for any reason.

"Know about the long term a fax of this sport after the forty Niners game on Sunday Saturday in the locker room right now everybody's happy and cheery and one of the guys that I really wanted to talk to after the contest was Tevin Coleman Tevin Coleman looked like a new running back against the Vikings that bye week did him a whole lot of good and as I'm standing outside of heaven's locker I'm just downtrodden watching this guy trying to put on his clothes it is weird as that sounds that is the the peculiarity that an NFL locker room provides a bunch of men changing in front of you and it's just normal you just don't think anything of it but Coleman was in such pain he was so sore he had given so much in that contest in that contest wasn't necessarily a rock them sock them a fair I don't think people will speak in the decades to calm about the slug fest that was forty Niners Vikings but Tevin Coleman could barely get his shoulder pads into his locker could barely lift his arms above his head and it was a reminder this guy was the hero of the game he was the player of the game on the offense for the San Francisco forty Niners and he was broken after the contest and you watch that man tried to do that kind of stuff and you can't help but feel for him and you can't help but be reminded that this sport at its core is barbaric and that doesn't mean that I don't love it that doesn't mean that I don't want to break it down that doesn't mean that we're morally bankrupt by watching it but we have to grapple with the reality of it we have to live in the duality that is we can love something that we should intrinsically hate because it's not healthy it's not normal and perhaps that's the reason we love it so much okay Klay knew that the longer he played the more likely it was that his life after football would be irrevocably damaged in a very serious way in fact he's probably already past the point of no return in that regard you can only get hit in the head so many times you can only have your quote unquote bell rung so many times before it becomes a real problem and I can speak from some experience on the that's your will is his feet his feet felt a it is an absolute shame but when you don't have the feet you don't you you can operate the head is a different piece in what I didn't care for in the reactions to this and the vast majority of course understood they know how how it goes these days Chris Borland walked away he only made a million dollars Luki Cleese walking away with sixty three million in career earnings Patrick Willis walked away forty eight million both of them were five time pro all pros they should both go to the hall of fame and I want to circle back around at that moment but the notion that Lou key Klay had so much more to give the way that that is presented as if it's an obvious fact he was only twenty eight he was one of the best players in the NFL not the best player to one of the best players in the NFL but the notion that he had so much more to give is ridiculous he told us tonight that he had nothing more to give and when an NFL player tells you that he has nothing left in the tank you best believe him people do not understand and I don't want to lecture here because that's not fair but I really don't think that people understand how fast how strong and how much pain NFL players can inflict on any given play the analogies almost feel hyperbolic and so it's under sold it doesn't resonate as much with the general public but when they say it's like a car crash on every play they mean it it's scary it is you are scared on the sideline of an NFL game if you've ever sat close enough and even the closest seats are well removed in a little bit high but if you've ever sat close enough you know that is a very scary place to be very and in these guys are going out there every day they have the ability the super human ability and frankly adding a superhuman level of cognitive dissonance to go out there and put their bodies on the line sixteen seventeen eighteen times not knowing what played might be their last because any of them could kill it is legitimately shocking to me that we haven't had anyone flat out die on an NFL field in my lifetime thirty one so in lieu qui Klay says I got nothing more believe them when Patrick Willis says I can't do it anymore I believe him when Chris Borland says I don't want to do this anymore don't chastise the money is such to where they're gonna be fine low key Klay will work forever he will probably go into a broadcast booth and make a ton of money he is a smart affable man Patrick Willis he by all accounts says he is absolutely fine and I don't think either of them will regret their decisions I know Patrick Willis doesn't I don't think Lou quickly well because you got a whole lot of life to live after football and whether that's at twenty five thirty thirty five or forty you can make it forty you got way more time afterwards and you do in it and it's a shame it's really a shame that Lou quickly feel so compelled so broken down as to where he has to make this decision but don't throw any shame Luki Cleese way he knows we don't and I can only imagine how much pain all of this has been for him it's really really sad and I guess now we'll just payment to talking the NFC championship game on Sunday let's just put all of the danger in the the terrible this in the car wrecks behind us and and talk about a a good old fashioned American football game it away can be ours the number will do that after the break here.

"In a couple of minutes at the top of the hour to talk about the National Football League and now did you see a forty Niners lost Tevin Coleman now the canon is out there's a dog running back you had an ACL last year he's at a set back he sidelined and out Tevin Coleman their free agent from Atlanta he's out with a high ankle sprain she's one week guys are dropping all over the place Nick falls that's horrible will not be able to return a week eleven. clavicle. Patrick Kane had I remember a couple of years ago whatever it was. remember who he was playing against when he got hurt us Florida was thought it was Florida and somebody checked them into the board that kind of yelling levels like that one it is found that right now you're watching a TV it's a left corner again supports Sarek just give are like little shot in the back but and then he came back early yeah I mean. there's a fine line to rate of. preseason and keeping guys in bubble wrap and then when they get out there and. it's just it's contact sport and you know what's gonna happen every once in awhile right so how much is a guy like came to a key Seabrook how much do they play in the pre saw it first on its way different because you're only allowed to dress eighteen skaters so when you play you're gonna play now you may not play you know normal wraps like the black ox gonna have. five exhibition games before they go over to Europe to play one exhibition game and then they play Philadelphia on October fourth from Prague to start the season but. when those guys will probably play and I would assume probably two full games. used to be used to play nine or ten now you're only plan do you know which member Denny McLain when you are kids he for pitcher right yes everyone when he's going to jail twice. Lou Boudreau was his father he told me that his may manager in Detroit this is hard to believe his manager in Detroit Mayo Smith you could not break camp and be in the rotation until you through to complete games in spring training complete games times have changed up. we got a lot softer three one two three three two three seven seven simply go around National Football League if you have a question you would like answered Dan grout Seattle's is dialed in as they come.

"Like everybody else. good morning everyone what do you what he's talking about so anyway and there's a great Bob your leg. that's that's not making a right. by the time the hours. people are. let's start at the beginning and then we'll get to the to the Bucks game all these different things but that you pretty much nailed the fifty three man even down to the four tight ends was there anything that surprised you out of the over the weekend I'm not really I I think Sam young of some mild surprise just because of the necessity of that position and and apparently it's just in school and he did some good things in the game and we'll see how that works out so that was a little bit of a surprise Jeff Wilson. makes sense I guess in terms of a guy that you can plug and play later I I think the the best thing that they did and others were I think that the John Wayne Chatham Peters and and mark may you and everybody in the in the front office. they were on target with the guys that they could sneak into the practice squad and that's a big reason why I don't think Kate Smith made the practice squad eventually ultimately made the team number one he earned it because he had a good training camp now there is a surplus of tight end position with with the four guys and not a lot of teams are keeping for tie downs but when you you forecast around the league and and what that position is and certainly is a receiving tight and that's more than willing and capable of blocking and I went back and I did some just pre draft stuff on him in in this was before the the last preseason game just to get an idea of what a lot of people were thinking about him around the league and and there was a lot of teams that had a much higher grade on him that he went and and he'd certainly fell down the draft board up for a variety of reasons and and most are known I think at this point so to me I think when you look at being able to you keep him but then you you you're able to get Kevin givens and keep them on the practice squad to get allies really you keep him on the practice for the guy started five games last year Marcel Harris a guy who's log starts in pro football you get him on the practice squad. same thing for a few guys on offense I think the biggest thing and and to me it's a testament to this this regime the coaching staff and the front office but you can keep those guys on the practice squad and they're not looking out Jim going you cut me and they give you the figure going I'm going somewhere else man because that does happen around pro Cleveland Austin is the raiders went to Jacksonville even though he's from Alameda yeah we'll look at look at the portal getting you're looking to poke at right forty Niners guy there's one tackles one early guy loaded with upside guy had a big signing bonus for an undrafted free agent they were able to persuade him and I don't know how much persuasion persuading it took to get him over here but the guys that that are here that they put on the practice water doing him a solid by sticking around here I think and eventually and you know when you look at these positions and and certainly the safety position with maybe some of the fragility and guys that man how healthy you are they gonna beat him award going into the season you say the same thing for cross guitar with his neck injury and and to be able to keep Marcel and keep him on the practice squad and keep him happy and keep him chomping at the bit to get on the football field I think ultimately is a great thing yeah obviously we talk about the fifty three because fifty three are on the roster really should look at it like this sixty three when you add the ten man practice garage because they're a phone call away from from being elevated. the overall depth of the team you know we we talk about you know where they are today verses one Kylin John first came in just look at the overall death the starters you have jammed the guys they get a Bacchae a mob figures sub package how much deeper is this football team in twenty nineteen then that we were in twenty seven Donald I think it's there's a big there's a big contrast there and and eva starters are better in terms of the the players they went out and acquired through through free agency and the draft which is pushed a couple of guys back and and you got guys now on special teams in this or I think is bigger the biggest impact is going to be when you look out there and look at the guys running down on the twenty you look at the guys on the punt return team we look at the guys on the on the kickoff team care you're like okay I mean these guys not only your terrific athletes and they know their role that they have to get out there and make huge contributions on the special teams but the starters in front of them and I think we learned from pre season more than anything and I think the last game was a bit difficult to judge. the depth on this team at the line of scrimmage especially on the defensive side is ridiculously good you got all the the the high techs and then you got guys behind them that have played a lot and guys that can go make plays and guys that have versatility and that's the thing that did that stuck with me I think the most in the pre season part of it's the mentality part of its you know Christmas Eric and and a prescription and what they're doing with the defensive line part of it is a is a scheme change but in terms of the physical card. the guys that are rolling as the twos and you got to have a mall in terms of wave rushes the way this defense is gonna boy they won the physical card every single game I love that. how much better do you feel about the team overall you're dissing mentioning depth because the thing that I see on this team but there's gonna be injuries already have been injuries but it seems like in most places maybe outside of the offense of line there's a lot of depth on this team and it's always gonna be tested and just overall you just mentioned but how how do you how much better do you feel about this team maybe that a year ago well I I think a year ago you have to look at at the health of his football team and. I mean it was a debacle on both sides of the ball keep position so I I think you look back in the secondary and there's still some a little bit of trepidation in terms of the health of those guys but Parratt as as a third corner you get me that guided with what I saw from him in practice you can see why he did what he did when he was healthy now that's a fingers crossed I but the depth there I think is is much better Emmanuel Moseley had a terrific training camp got a lot better DJ read as a better football player now than he was before all those guys that had to play last year I think it's just money in the bank and then you look at the running back position I don't think you can say enough number one breeders health the guy was on one leg almost all of last year man that started early in the season but you you look at him. his opportunity that lies before him just remember I mean the guy was I don't know a hundred and sixty some yards away from a thousand yards are strong one like an explosive runs all over the place now you out a guy like Tevin Coleman to that crew and a healthy Ronnie Moster you guys remember when he broke his arm last year that guy is as smooth as it gets and he has learned how from coach turned what they do in this offense how to read that offense of line how to read that key block when they're trying to run the strip stretch play and his ability to cut back and get down hill in a hurry is awesome he is a big plate waiting to happen Tevin Coleman in the passing game. I I mean you you talk about word this team have issues last year. a lot of it was third downs because the negative place whether it was you know self destruction with with penalties the turnovers hits on the quarterback and and you know the obviously Jimmy going down we three was was huge in that red zone worst in pro football they have worked extensively back in the spring of that all the O. T. A.'s on the red zone package and I'm talking high reps now high volume that's one thing this this training camp was a lot less drilling a lot more football plane you know what I mean like eleven on eleven ones on one's two's gets once. so this is why I expect kettles touchdown numbers to be double digit seed great your last year he's got a double he's got double the most distance right work read they were yards after yeah I think the one against the rams is the only one here right absolutely right and and then you would now Tevin Coleman when you had him to that mix and I've seen him catch a hundred passes in the red zone out here when you go all the way back to the spring the guy catches everything Dante Patterson and what he hopefully is going to bring to the table and his skill sets when you get down to the red zone and it always comes down to the guy delivering the mail and what Jimmy can do off schedule we all remember the the end of the the two thousand seventeen season it wasn't like one to get it out on time it was one two of that's covered now and I'm gonna move a popular it side arm sling you know the defining exes and ohs stop is gonna be huge for him so he she needs to get into his groove in a hurry and he'll get a chance on it against Tampa with with Todd Bowles running the defense because you know it's common a lot of pressure I will talk more Tim Ryan the Tim want Ryan show we do it every single week from noon to one we're doing it of course today on a Wednesday we're off tomorrow because Zhai's based on the boys are traveling on Friday we'll get more into it that's going to happen over the weekend the fifty three man some of the depth charts will get more to expectations will look at some of the position groups by nature of course we're gonna Jimmy and there's a lot in a film news to get to this well do all those things coming up next live from Levi's stadium only on the sports in. hi my daughter here bet me that we could get an iPhone for just forty nine ninety nine actually I said when we switched to metro a new iPhone seven is just forty nine ninety nine after ID validation she's right.

"The on the gas line and just watching the first three preseason games are really like what I'm seeing from your your offense of backfield coach ME Rita looks much more comfortable in your tooth use checkers healthy and looking great Tevin Coleman it looks phenomenal I haven't seen where he Mostra I'm kinda wondering what do you envision for Moster what kind of player do you think he's going to be in your offense how would you like to utilize him in our is your chance we see him Thursday night would regain got a deep thigh bruise last week I think the I. contusions exact word for it he got that and practice two days before the games with that's why I was able to play a lot that week you know yet seven yards a carry in the first game so we got you got to play a lot there and and he did well then that's how many yards a carry had last year during the season so he Michelle that he has got a lot of ability and you can make some big plays which that's the stuff that he can do for our offense specialties wise he's one of the best special teams players of not the best on our team so we always has a huge role in that as the third back up on game day redeem does have the ability to make some plays and to earn some playing time to get in there and compete with guys like freedom to have and and the more that he can't do that for consistent it could be the more he will take place from those guys but it's tough there's only one ball and you know he's competing against some good guys and regime has at some setbacks and these are you know going into our third year with the more he has had some injuries but when he has got his opportunity like he did last year and I think it was and we had a number of guys get hurt any of canon's opportunity verse Green Bay and got rolling or it was average and seven yards a carry but that he had a bad break at the goes on Thursday night football that were we awesome for the year many came back this year and it took me awhile to heal from that started out good I think first Dallas when he had seven years a Kerry might have been the right can't remember right now but they had a little setback with the star Bruce but rain showed a city comply we know could play special teams on on there's a lot more there for offense but we're still waiting to get a little consistency from it thank god garage will have a good game that stereo could you do it or they're responsible who said I couldn't do it for another week but it's interesting coach.

"Looks good right excited about Tevin Coleman I remember before trend Taylor got hurt were you excited about Trent Taylor Trent Taylor looks phenomenal always for a big year okay if if any of that resonated with you yeah like dray grain all you'll like what you see you like Tevin Coleman you are high on Trent Taylor this year if you had any of those emotions at all then you have to be at least a little bit concerned about Jimmy Garoppolo you have to be unless you don't care about any of this if you believe that everything that happens in the month of August in the NFL is cotton candy take a bite and it just disintegrates if you believe that then fine you get to be on the side of the room that's just like I don't care what Jim Grobbelaar does statistically but if on any level whether you're getting ready for fantasy draft you're just a complete and total scouting nerd like Leri Krueger whatever debts if you are on any level if you follow August NFL and you have to be a little bit concerned about Jimmy drop below otherwise if you're not if you have like dray Greenlaw and you're excited about Mitch wish now ski the absolute board of a potter who crushes people and we talked about that on this show with Mitch how many weeks ago was that there was at least a month and a half ago right Jacob was at least a month and a half ago that we talk to match and he was phenomenal and I he talked about how we love to have people in any show that last night that was tremendous but if you if you're excited about those guys then you can just blow off Jimmy Garoppolo like it's nothing and and here's here's why you're either putting stock into what you're watching or you're not it added some point is is pretty simple if you like three gray green all that means you're pure putting stock into what you're watching here in the month of August and if you put stock in the what you see then you have to put stock into the fact that Jimmy drop below did not walk ready to play NFL football games last night you know if you're if you want to only spotlight the good stuff and blow off the bad I mean that's the trap that you're speaking of parenthood that's the trap that parents fall into MMS just being a parent that's being a family member that's being a good friend you defend your loved ones like no one's business when they do something you know it it's only the good yes spotlight all little little Jimmy is walking by eleven months he is a genius is going to be amazing he just wanted ray across the room and punched a girl in the face he's just being a boy you see what I mean you're like you make a big deal out of the positives and then you just blow off the negatives it doesn't really work that way so you can't act like it's it's an out liar every time think of a few names recent history in the month of August to have grabbed our attention Russell Wilson essentially won the quarterback job with the Seahawks in the month of August the Seahawks has spent a ton of money and brought mad for an end to be there they're starting quarterback Russell Wilson was drafted in the third round the third round quarterback is a guy that you think okay this this could be something but when I put in all of our eggs into the.

"Well where the forty Niners were also kind of lurking around the edges waiting to see if Levy on bell was going to be interested in not going to the jets. Well, don't forget this reunites Kevin Coleman with Kyle Shanahan and Coleman. Probably had his most productive season the year. The falcons went to the Super Bowl when Kyle Shanahan was the offense. Coordinator kind of that complimentary back to devante Freeman. So maybe he intends to use Coleman. Exactly the way he was used in Atlanta. Yeah. No. I listen. I've always been a fan of jerick. Mckinnon Devin Cole mcadoo, some nice things. Maybe they try to recreate like you said, Jeff what they had in Atlanta. What Shanahan had in Atlanta with Don. Freeman and tavern Coleman with jerick McKinnon at seven so Coleman off the market. He will be a San Francisco forty

"In the National Football League. And it's all coming together. Especially for the bills. Philip rivers has just thrown his first incomplete pass of the game. But it's okay for the chargers. These completed the other eight and the route is on twenty one to three in buffalo. The panthers. Get the first touchdown on the board in Atlanta today. Ten to three as Cam Newton hits. Jerry is right for touchdown. Newton who left the game momentarily was imitate after suffering a targeting hit that knocked a falcons player out of the game. But the Panthers take the lead. And we haven't talked much about this team yet the Atlanta Falcons no team besieged by injury more than the falcons early on in this year. And now at home granted, it's only ten to three in only the second quarter. But let's not forget. Owen one and facing a tough battle here if they fold Owen to with all the injuries. They've had is a heck of a
