Yeah, I mean, the first starts with arm strength, you know, that's the thing everybody is going to criticize, but it's one thing I have attacked and so just Playing with the full field. That's huge to me, and I'm excited to show that on Sunday And then being in the system for what four years now like coaching hand says, how automatic can you get? You know just everything. How? David Archer previews the Atlanta Falcons

"The Atlanta Falcons will do so with a former Falcons quarterback. Now he is their longtime color analysts on the radio network for Atlanta. And that is David Archer. David Hope all is. Well. Thanks for doing this. When we look at the Falcons, they made a big offseason acquisition getting Todd Gurley We don't know where the health is of Todd Gurley. What do you expect at a Todd Gurley coming over from l. A to Atlanta for this upcoming season? Well, be honest with you. I think we're expecting a lot of early and mainly in the Red zone. If you look at Todd Gurley's numbers, even with with so called quote unquote down near Around 900 yards rushing, still had 12 touchdowns. All 12 of those touchdowns came in the red Zone, and I think that Atlanta if they could find a way to run the football down close Help three up the talented weapons that Ryan has on the perimeter. Now, listen, you have a little bit more of a potent attack a little bit more looking a little bit more like what? You looked like a 16 when Avante Freeman and Tevin Coleman. We're carrying the ball down there close and created that problem in the run game. Atlanta has not had that over the last couple of seasons. I think that's where they expect Todd Gurley to make his main hey is down there in the red Zone. With the way that you probably have to manage his reps as a running back the rest of the running back room. Is there something that jumps out to you? Yeah, I think it's a good group. Really Do I think that when you look at Brian, Ill in the way, Brian Gillis Kamani together that Hawkins drafted a couple of years ago, Brian Handsome solid moments a year ago. Quadri Allyson. Kid at Pittsburgh rookie from a year ago. Uh, kind of woke himself. A little bit of a roll is a short yardage guy. £225 Goal line Guy, four touchdowns. Hopefully, you know, Smith can come back. He was injured in the game a year ago. I believe against the Rams in which he was trying to pick up a Blitzer, which he shouldn't be here should be doing, but he is an outstanding receiver out of the backfield. And a good change of pace back at the back, So they get to three young guys that I think you could lean on. And like you said, Take some of that. Load off. Assad, Girl. Let's get to the next down. And when we do so, we take a look at Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. The two big names in that organization. Do you still believe that this team could be a play off team once again with Matt Ryan and Julio Jones? I do, but it's you know, obviously, it's about you know your supporting cast and you do some things on the other side of the ball, and I'm sure there's a question you've got to worry about the defense's side the football, But there there's a little area in the offensive line. The left guard has been a little bit leaky, right guard's been a little bit leaky because of some injuries and things that they could shore up that into your part of the offensive line. Ryan's Like most classic quarterbacks climb in the pocket. They got to be able to give him that opportunity. Do so if you get into your pressure and accurate from problems, one game will help in that regard, but Yeah. Julio Jones, 16 seconds, 1300 yard seasons. Matt Ryan, nine consecutive 4000 yard seasons. I don't see the one those guys backing off. When you talk about that offensive line to follow up on that I'm a big fan of Matt Hennessy. Being a temple grad, really smart football player puts in a lot of work. Is he going to make an immediate impact in your number one? Yeah, There's always a question that he's certainly in the mix to be the starting guard. There's no question about that. I think that there's ah lot excitement around when he brings the table and and obviously the heir apparent, Alex Mack, probably its center. So Alex back in a little bit longer to still have a good football any But I need to put some guys around him that Khun taken, it could be in there and we had German Brown and James Carpenter guys that could not stay on the field. There was some solid moments from those two big veteran players, but they did not stay on the field and consistency. In the interior specialist that left guard spotted Kennedy ultimately will probably win that job and be the starter that guard let's get to the next down. All right, David Archer. When they flip the switch here and go to the other side of the ball defensively, it was an up and down year for the defense, but it seemed like they did finish in a better spot than what they did earlier on in the season. You could probably say that for the entire team with the Atlanta Falcons this division. Is loaded with offensive talent. You know what the Saints are. Now you have Tom Brady and the division with Tampa Bay, and I'll be curious to see what Teddy Bridgewater does with the Panthers. What's your read on the Falcons defense entering 2020 Well, it's an uncertain situation obviously went on God. Dante Fowler, Dad's pressure off the edge contact. McKinley realized what they thought they had when they drafted him a couple of years and the number one spot picked up Charles Haley, who, ironically, was in the same draft. And raided a route the same attack McKinley are Charles Harris. I'm sorry. Charles. Charles Charles Haley. Right way. I'd like to have the guy that was rushing the pastor there for both the Cowboys in the 40 Niners. That would be great, but Harris. He does have some raw talent there. Can't he realize that I'm the Falcon Tutelage will have to wait and see Grady dear. It's an emerging star in the tackle position and Marlon Davidson, Vienna and an interesting ad, a guy that has the versatility to play inside. Maybe in past situations and also play the perimeter as a 34 defensive didn't run down situations. The answer at all Burn second round draft pick of the fact that they think they've upgraded their defensive line. It'll have to be upgraded because you get extremely young secondary. Probably gonna have a rookie a corner starting your nickels, a second year guy in your other corners of third year, guys, So there's a lot of young players on the perimeter need to get some pass rush speed up the thought process for the quarterback. Let's get to the final down. Alright. I'm surprised that Dan Quinn is Bacca's the head football coach for the Lancer Falcons. What does he have to do this year to keep his job and Is that seats the warm because, like I said, I was surprised that they brought him back for this year. It is warm. I think that it's fortunate they brought him back because of the current situation with the pandemic and the uncertainties, so some continuity certainly has played into Atlanta Falcons off season. I think they've had a solid offseason, much as you can, with the limitations. They're attached to this year, So I think that it was good in retrospect that, uh, Mr Black decided to keep Dan Quint on, but I think he's got there. They've got a bit pushed for a playoff spot. I think they've got to be. They can't come out of the box one in seven. It's got to be a team. It's in the hunt of the entire way. As you said, it's going to be outstanding division with outstanding quarterback play, but they have to be in the hunt to be a part of the postseason play. If they do that. And I think the fans will be a little bit of stab on the wound for the fans. But if you get out to a slow start, it would not surprise me. If if Mr Blank made some kind of decision mid season on coach Boy and I think, coach when is the right guy for the job Now it's put up or shut up. He scored a touchdown will go for two here Oscar. One more question This team was 11 5 We all know the deal they were in the Super Bowl blew the 28 23 lead. The next year, they did go 10 and six, the last two years. It's seven and nine. If you had to identify the biggest reason why this team has regressed, and I know they've had some injuries to but overall if it's not the health of the team, what's the biggest thing that you look at? Why this team wasn't able to recreate that magic from 2016 and 2017? I think their inconsistency ball on both sides of the football in conversion, down situations and in the red zone. I think Atlanta's done a great job of moving the ball from 20 to 20 But when they get in the red zone, they bogged down and settle for too many threes. And I think in turn the defense's side of the football. What about 22 23 scoring defense coming up 25 points a game. They've got to find a way to get more stops in the red zone. That's probably the answer that you could probably get from all teams struggled and not made the playoff teams, but I certainly think That that's identifiable with the Falcons over the last couple years, the inability down deep in the red Zone both on offensive defense, Julio Jones, he's Ah Hall of Fame player. We all know that one of the better wide receivers in the league He's only had one year of double digit touchdowns, going back to 2012 when he had 10 TUC maybe 10 touchdowns in his fortunes this year. Well, I think he's certainly capable of it. But you got an outstanding receiver on the other side of Calvin Ridley, who's realized his abilities down in the red Zone Pretty close. I think Aidan hearse is going to be a seamless transition from Austin Hooper tight end spot So there are a lot of weapons from that Ryan to get the football too. Don't forget Todd Gurley and how good he is at the back catching the football as well. So I I would say no, I think he's going to be 89 touchdowns. I don't think he goes double digits, but I think there's a lot of guys around him. They're going to score touchdowns. Look for guys somewhere between 13 14 guys catch touchdown passes issue. Say that we appreciate it. Thanks so much. You be well, my

Analytics in the NFL

"Going to talk about these Brown the whole topic of analytics because Mike when you think of mate Alexi often think about major league baseball. And you know Bill James's cyber metric revolution. Should Billy Bean moneyball the book movie all the rest of it and wanted Billy Bean's main guys was Paul D Badescu. CUPID ESTA LA. Believe in the as he goes the mets eventually. Now he's with the Cleveland Browns. Tired and twice sixteen says famously. I don't know too much NFL. But I've got all this information all this analytics we'll make things work also infamous said he didn't think Carson Wentz was the top twenty quarterback now now as we look at your column today. Athletic is always. You can subscribe the athletic read. All Mike's work there the war between analytics and football people is pointless. The real challenge is finding someone who can properly understanding process all the data and then make the right decisions and how to deploy and I'm not sure. The browns have solved that problem yet. They hire Kevin Stansky is their head coach. Why why are you skeptical at? They've solved it. You know I like Kevin and I and I don't mean to be critical Kevin. But I think Kevin's a really smart guy. And I think Kevin's obviously you know well. Educated aided came through the coaching ranks. The right way started on the ground floor worked his way up. I just think it's going to be a real challenging job for him because he's got to manage a lot of personalities in that locker room and deep. Pesto said at the press conference that they were looking for a leader. And you know. And I think that Kevin's probably more of a guy who's low key. Quiet it you know has a shared vision with everybody and that doesn't mean he's not qualified. That just means to me I think the vision of what the browns think they need. And what what. I see the browns needing in terms of somebody to come in and be able to handle Odell Beckham because look like Odell Beckham. The little like Michael Jackson Right. I mean he's is not compliant right he will show up on time. He'll do what he has to do right but the one thing he will do is he will create people following him he will create and so what he doesn't come to. Ot Days where he doesn't want to do things or he wants to go out. Color outside the lines dominic does he. Will you know get the people follow him. And who's going to challenge him to do that. Who's going to challenge him to do that? You know and I thought it was funny. Ad When you know they asked Stefanski Gi you know what did Mayfield think of you like. I'm not really worried. Would Baker Mayfield thinks of me. I'm worried about what I think. Baker Mayfield Shinto like I don't have to make Baker Mayfield Happy Baker Mayfield to make me happy. And I think you can look at all these analytical numbers and it's great but at some point football's a game a leadership. Football's the game of toughness. Football's a game paddle. Football's a game of conditioning. Football's a game of making people do things they really don't WanNa do right. You need intelligence. You need all those things but you need grit. You need some of that and I just think that the way they handle this they obviously got somebody who's more collaborative than dictatorship and. That's what they wanted on it. I'm not sure that's what they needed. As you mentioned the com- analytics is just another word for information. And when you worked for Bill Belichick or walls work with them. You know you were feeding them. Information to quote gridiron genius. The fact you Mike Holmgren were good friends. He called you scooper because you were so tune in and what was going on around the NFL. Hiring coaches like homeroom is a convoluted path to building a staff. It required Walsh to spend lots of time and energy coaching his coaches. That was why he hired guys. Who are intelligent before there? Anything else guys. Were not typical products. The football industry his special teams coach. Fred von happen may still be the only coach in NFL history who read Sylvia plath every day before heading out to the practice field. Maybe the violence of her poetry help to prepare him for the carnage of kickoff coverage. That's a great quote but just to further the point about Walsham ballot check and how they assemble their staffs. Yeah I mean look. Nobody was more cerebral lim bill right but he's a real tough guy. Nobody's more cerebral than Bella check. And he's a tough guy and Fred. Von Was a tough guy you know and he'd read Sylvia Plath and he was was excluding the part that she put her head in an oven and he literally read that every single day it was unbelievable and his vocabulary was incredible vocabulary. Sorry but they had a sense of toughness and I think that parcells is the same way. parcells wants to hire guys from the Military Academy. He wants smart people right. Everybody wants smart people. They want smart people but they also want smart people that are going to be branded and do what they wanna do. And demand from the players not collaborate from the players and I think that this analytical nonsense is truly we're all in the information business so all the information is really important in my belief is that we're missing in the point when somebody puts on and says well there in eleven personnel. And they're doing this and that like do you understand what the eleven is and what they're really trying to accomplish. I mean Tevin Coleman was the running back that was the main back this week because Kyle Shanahan wanted a running back. Who's GonNa Threaten Mike Zimmer in the backfield because Mike Zimmer was gonNA play three linebackers now once that happened that according to the chart? That's twenty-one toward the analytic he's in twenty one personnel but he's really not because he's got Coleman in the game he's only in twenty anyone with Coleman because he's got three linebackers so how do you differentiate that you know. How do you break down the information you know? There's so many times I've been in meeting with Bela check. I'll be watching tape. And I made a comment. He said well the only reason they're doing that is because they're doing up about anyone into that you know like oh I got it now I got you just taught me something right. Like that's the game

"Know about the long term a fax of this sport after the forty Niners game on Sunday Saturday in the locker room right now everybody's happy and cheery and one of the guys that I really wanted to talk to after the contest was Tevin Coleman Tevin Coleman looked like a new running back against the Vikings that bye week did him a whole lot of good and as I'm standing outside of heaven's locker I'm just downtrodden watching this guy trying to put on his clothes it is weird as that sounds that is the the peculiarity that an NFL locker room provides a bunch of men changing in front of you and it's just normal you just don't think anything of it but Coleman was in such pain he was so sore he had given so much in that contest in that contest wasn't necessarily a rock them sock them a fair I don't think people will speak in the decades to calm about the slug fest that was forty Niners Vikings but Tevin Coleman could barely get his shoulder pads into his locker could barely lift his arms above his head and it was a reminder this guy was the hero of the game he was the player of the game on the offense for the San Francisco forty Niners and he was broken after the contest and you watch that man tried to do that kind of stuff and you can't help but feel for him and you can't help but be reminded that this sport at its core is barbaric and that doesn't mean that I don't love it that doesn't mean that I don't want to break it down that doesn't mean that we're morally bankrupt by watching it but we have to grapple with the reality of it we have to live in the duality that is we can love something that we should intrinsically hate because it's not healthy it's not normal and perhaps that's the reason we love it so much okay Klay knew that the longer he played the more likely it was that his life after football would be irrevocably damaged in a very serious way in fact he's probably already past the point of no return in that regard you can only get hit in the head so many times you can only have your quote unquote bell rung so many times before it becomes a real problem and I can speak from some experience on the that's your will is his feet his feet felt a it is an absolute shame but when you don't have the feet you don't you you can operate the head is a different piece in what I didn't care for in the reactions to this and the vast majority of course understood they know how how it goes these days Chris Borland walked away he only made a million dollars Luki Cleese walking away with sixty three million in career earnings Patrick Willis walked away forty eight million both of them were five time pro all pros they should both go to the hall of fame and I want to circle back around at that moment but the notion that Lou key Klay had so much more to give the way that that is presented as if it's an obvious fact he was only twenty eight he was one of the best players in the NFL not the best player to one of the best players in the NFL but the notion that he had so much more to give is ridiculous he told us tonight that he had nothing more to give and when an NFL player tells you that he has nothing left in the tank you best believe him people do not understand and I don't want to lecture here because that's not fair but I really don't think that people understand how fast how strong and how much pain NFL players can inflict on any given play the analogies almost feel hyperbolic and so it's under sold it doesn't resonate as much with the general public but when they say it's like a car crash on every play they mean it it's scary it is you are scared on the sideline of an NFL game if you've ever sat close enough and even the closest seats are well removed in a little bit high but if you've ever sat close enough you know that is a very scary place to be very and in these guys are going out there every day they have the ability the super human ability and frankly adding a superhuman level of cognitive dissonance to go out there and put their bodies on the line sixteen seventeen eighteen times not knowing what played might be their last because any of them could kill it is legitimately shocking to me that we haven't had anyone flat out die on an NFL field in my lifetime thirty one so in lieu qui Klay says I got nothing more believe them when Patrick Willis says I can't do it anymore I believe him when Chris Borland says I don't want to do this anymore don't chastise the money is such to where they're gonna be fine low key Klay will work forever he will probably go into a broadcast booth and make a ton of money he is a smart affable man Patrick Willis he by all accounts says he is absolutely fine and I don't think either of them will regret their decisions I know Patrick Willis doesn't I don't think Lou quickly well because you got a whole lot of life to live after football and whether that's at twenty five thirty thirty five or forty you can make it forty you got way more time afterwards and you do in it and it's a shame it's really a shame that Lou quickly feel so compelled so broken down as to where he has to make this decision but don't throw any shame Luki Cleese way he knows we don't and I can only imagine how much pain all of this has been for him it's really really sad and I guess now we'll just payment to talking the NFC championship game on Sunday let's just put all of the danger in the the terrible this in the car wrecks behind us and and talk about a a good old fashioned American football game it away can be ours the number will do that after the break here.

"Hamstrung is a free like that's one of the things that I don't know if you're going to be in a situation where Mile Sanders and Jordan Howard. What are you going to do how we're GONNA win the job? What's probably GonNa Happen is how right it'd be involved early? Sanders from week five or six is going to be great but then you're gonNA have Howard locked up so I you said you weren't going to jail is breaking down a little bit more like it so as of right now I do have <hes> at least a handful of guys ranked above Tevin Coleman but once again given the given how my team is shaping up and building and A._D._p.. Wise Coleman is not likely to get back to me. I'm GonNa take like the shot that Coleman ends up as the starting running back in the predominant running back for the San Francisco Forty niners because if that's the case than I have I have an absolute big hit and then I can adjust accordingly from there and like I said playing the game of A._D._p.. where I have players ranked above him but I know they're gonNA come back to me all right seven well? That's what you have to do right right the whole essence of having breakouts and sleepers and talking about them and bringing him up you know on your your star player list you know the players are focusing on is not to draft them outside of their A._D._p.. And I'm in the middle so I have I can play the A._D._p.. Game pretty well and so after Kevin Coleman with Alan Robinson Jared Cook Jordan Howard at seven ten. I'm back on the clock got a couple picks back to back and <hes> when you look at the wide receiver landscape <hes> at this point you're taking shots on players to kind of emerge as several of them you could go with Marvin Jones somebody that we have in our ultimate draft kit as a value Marvin Jones two years ago number nine owes a stud. Yeah I mean number nine overall at the position and honestly what the only thing that went wrong that went wrong for him last year was that it all went right two years ago much like I'm gonNA use the comparison Tyler Lockett those deep balls they just I worked out far more often than they did not two years ago for Marvin Jones the fifty fifty ball he just came down with them and didn't it didn't work out the connection with him and Stafford which then the news came out about Stafford the injury that. He was playing through. I think Marvin Jones is an absolute value at the wide receiver position currently and yeah the the other players that maybe by A._D._p.. or slightly ahead of him or not players that interested in making you know adding to my wide receiver rotation will fuller can't stay healthy. You know he's a dynamic player but he's not the one on that team. I think you're going to have a lot of this. Season where Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay are bouncing back and forth as potential so I'm GonNa take these what I would view as a stabilizing Kabeleinz pick for my roster with Marvin Jones on top of Ataman and Patas <hes> and then I obviously get another pick quickly after making. I gotTa make a gamble here at this pick okay wince in Ronald Jones went next by the way in a back on the clock. I'll just be transparent like the player that I want more for my roster I hear than any other wide receiver on the board and you've got fuller Kirk circling shepherds on the Board Ler Fitzgerald on the board <hes> <hes> you can go to N._B._S. and take us on him. The next highest player on my board is.

"No. I just I you kind of mentioned it here in Rico in Torri Cohen. David montgomery. Okay. Well, I wouldn't put name garnering the tier absolutely not. So I don't I disagree with you on that. But I do think when I text you over these tears, and I was going through and looking at him like you know what to Rico in. You could put a record in this here. And I even said, I said to Ricco in at five point eleven which is whereas ADP is at right now, Debbie my favorite ADP for any running back. That's great value. So I have no problem with lumping in this here. But based on your as presently constituted with the tier six players. I sent you over Aaron Jones is in Demonte Freeman are the to materialise favourite. I think bear the bobbing. Vonnie Freeman is is a distant last place in this year, the only reason than I put in this tears, I still think would know Tevin Coleman and, you know, my boy, Leo Smith, if he doesn't turn into the Tevin Coleman than I think, in that offense in Atlanta. I think. Devante Freeman is going to be solid, and I've always talked about I've been saying I really do not like the Freeman. He won't be on any teams. But listen like we're at a point in the draft now to your six. If you put him last place, I would probably put him maybe slightly, head of Philip Lindsey. You can put your Recode honest here I would rather have three Cohen Freeman. So, so maybe I made him a good job. I you well timeout one player. So maybe I made mistake with freemen but I don't know. I'm trying to also play a little devil's advocate because a lot of you'll have them higher than me. So I would rank them. Well, this is your tears anyone else's so true. All right. So I'll rank I'll ring. I'd go Leonard fournette, one. I would go Josh Jacobs to outgo Marla MAC three. I would go Derrick Henry four or I go carry on Johnson, four, dear Derrick, Henry, five surprise of the cannery. I just think you always taught you always do this with people like PR league. I can't see taking. Well we're looking at overall points. And dare can we didn't last game? Season is just he was a man among boys. And now is he going to do that every single game season? No. But this is a guy who I mean Tennessee again they didn't draft running back. The only Dion Lewis, Dan Lewis isn't doing anything Derrick Henry has the potential to be somebody who gets over two hundred carries obviously over yards. He is going to be a touchdown monster. So what he d- doesn't produce in terms of receptions, he's going to potential to make four and touchdowns. And. Again, we're talking about somebody who I have at the back end of, of tier six. Right. So I think you're a little too hard on Derrick Henry, I don't love him. But again, we're talking about tier six. I think it's pretty good value for somebody that has the floor. The Derrick Henry has is going to have the workload that he will have the season to the floor. The Derrick Henry has is waivers, that's where he was during the fancy football championship. That's the floor. That's where he was last year before the final four weeks of the season. So before heading into week, fourteen he came into that week with no more. Let me repeat this. No more than fifty eight yards rushing in a single game. That's the four for Derrick. Henry. Okay. And how the end of the season I mean based on what he did the last four or five games of the season..

"Well where the forty Niners were also kind of lurking around the edges waiting to see if Levy on bell was going to be interested in not going to the jets. Well, don't forget this reunites Kevin Coleman with Kyle Shanahan and Coleman. Probably had his most productive season the year. The falcons went to the Super Bowl when Kyle Shanahan was the offense. Coordinator kind of that complimentary back to devante Freeman. So maybe he intends to use Coleman. Exactly the way he was used in Atlanta. Yeah. No. I listen. I've always been a fan of jerick. Mckinnon Devin Cole mcadoo, some nice things. Maybe they try to recreate like you said, Jeff what they had in Atlanta. What Shanahan had in Atlanta with Don. "And not Cam. You don't like him Newt, and you never have. Well, whatever Tevin Coleman start or sit Tevin Coleman. I like him. I like him. And that's part of the reason why I'm not a Hooper fan this week Hooper's best games tend to come when the falcons running can't get going. And I think you'll see the falcons run game. Do very well. So how come you only have them like seventeenth because I like a lot of other running backs better. There are sixteen running backs that better. So I put him right right to say guys gonna have a big game. Usually translates the higher than seventeenth went sixteen around by you know. I think we'll be fine. I think Hooper we find Ryan's gonna do it every wants to Edo Smith. He'll play some football. He's flicks. Hope he's worse. I rank the flexes Calvin Ridley Smith to do. Ridley sanu ITO yet. But I don't like really this week. Ridley ITO Smith. Why don't you like Ridley? He's touchdown dependent. And the succession receivers season they allow the third fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. You look at who they faced Beckham Jeffrey were very disappointing. Dallas has a face that many good receivers some that they faith did. Well, tither lock it. Golden Tate Hopkins. Kiki Cutie Kenny golladay hit seventy four yards. And they've struggled tight ends recently. Three touchdowns last week's. They're also on the road second straight week after playing on Sunday night. I think they'll be overmatched defensively. So I'll take the chance on Ridley. And then Hooper, you know, Jamie hasn't fourth heath has seventh and non PBR fourth and PR. Dave you are sitting Kupa right down the top twelve. Yeah. Campbell the trigger on this week, very worried about it. He's been awesome. He's been up and down when he's been when he's been up. He's been very up when he's been down. He's he's seven. That's not good for a tightness. But I, but yeah. But I don't wanna start a guy hoping that he gets me seven points. Now, obviously you want that upside better probably the floor. Is he has been up and down. So good tight ends against Alice. Greg Olsen had thirty three yards. Evan ingraham. Sixty seven yards and a touchdown. Ryan Griffin happen have nice game sixty Jordan rita's bad game. This by prefacing. Good. Good against Dallas or tight ends. Who did well is to breathe really what happened? Johnny smith. Got a touchdown Zakar teddy massive game. I know they're not all good tight ends. But I had to include the ones who actually produced. Like Ryan Griffin. Regina. Doesn't will you eat a bad candy bar. Let's do some comparisons. We're all making bets here this week. Let's do it. Why why won't you join in the fun? I will what I want to all right in a one they Hooper Jamie's anti. Let's let's do some Ridley comparisons. Would you do Ridley or Lamar Miller, really? Really by the fault. Yes. Rid the theoretic PR. Riddick. Ridley Riddick or has that safe floor of eleven twelve we skipped over THEO Riddick. And I wanted to make a point. DFS this week is very very difficult..

"A while for fantasy players to come around and know, the names of certain DB's where you you go off crap my wide receivers up against this guy. Dens award is quickly approaching that status already in his young career. But he got hurt last week. He would see a lot of Calvin Ridley if he plays and their replacement right now their insurance is Phillip Gaines who was waived by buffalo. So if ward is out cover Ridley will get a slight bump in the rankings this matchup. I know we're going to get into start to the week later there. Are some players that will be featured in the starts of the week from this matchup. Like, I said, it's a great man acres thrown multiple touchdowns. Three weeks in a row Atlanta gives up the fourth most passing yards per game right now over three hundred so and bakers at home, and I think it's a strong start for Baker Mayfield this week. Right now, Nick Chubb, I've got him very high this week. I liked the matchup for Nick Chubb. Yeah. Chubs a great play Duke Johnson. I think is also great play. This is do the John through Mark Ingram. We just talked about Ingram. I I mean, I've said this for a couple of weeks running now wrong. I believe in marking room. I think he's going to have a great game. So I would still have marking ahead of Duke Johnson that Duke Johnson with the pass catching against the falcons. I mean, the falcons are notorious they always allow the most receptions, two running backs just the way they played defense. Do you think Duke Johnson has a safer floor? Then Mark Ingram. Yeah. Yeah. I definitely think that Duke Johnson has a safer floor. If you're in a PR league. But this is a situation where if if for some reason, you have chub and Duke Johnson, I would be fine on the same roster starting both of these guys. And that's okay. That's going to be rare as the season goes along. This is not a Tevin Coleman. Devante freeman. You know, proven offense. And then of course, Matt Ryan, you're you know, we got a mention him just because he has been on fire leading the league in yards per game. You've gotta start Matt Ryan if you've got him now, let me we're talking about smashing the glass. I love to have in common where we're going to feature him a little bit later foreshadow. How do you feel about ITO Smith? He's playing on about you know, the mid forty percent of snaps. Hi over under. He was ten for sixty had a Beasley touchdown this past week. Do you are you, okay? In an emergency throwing ITO Smith and your flex or you're trying to find a different option. I am makes it find. Okay. Yeah. The man he is a matchups, you know, play. He makes me so sad. Because I drafted a lot of devante Freeman. And he is getting so many goal line opportunities. Ito Smith is. And he's just not that good. And so it's like, oh, my devante Freeman would have been great. I like you Smith. I I think the guy I think he's I think he's fine. I think he's gonna shape up to be a good running. It takes time. Jas his career is over. I'm sorry to see him retire. Like this. I looked Austin Hooper's away a little bit this week to try to figure out and that was just on the basis of look the Browns are real bad against tight ends. I settled on the fact that I just don't think I think Austin Hooper benefited quite a bit from injuries to sue and Calvin Ridley this, and that's where his explosion came from. And like like we said there are three starts of the week. We're gonna feature from this game. You just can have to wait. Oh, the three and five Jags take on the three and five colts. Andy's almost upset of the week. The only way I can do that is because of this next part? The colts are three point favorites at home. It's a forty six and a half point over under. That's right on my line of where I'm allowed to throw. My almost upset of the weekend course. You make the rules. I do I have all I love this almost upset. It's crazy to me that the colts our favorite in this game..

"Been there a massive amount of all you. Many playing this chiefs defense that they've allowed. One hundred plus rushing yards thing back in four and four, six games. They've been over one hundred and forty three of the past four. So this a line pretty well for mixing to have a huge game. I mean, that's their achilles heel. And that's what teams wanna. Do you wanna run against a bad rush defense and that also keeps Patrick Mahomes off the field? Yeah, yeah. No question. And again, they've committed to mix, right. We've seen that so far. It's not even when job Bernard comes back and remember he's out. So you just have to the rookie Mark Walton behind him even when he's back. I mean, they, they want to feature mix and they wanna use him like some of the superstars across the NFL how you're seeing girly us and, and you know, David Johnson and bell, Wendy's. Last week was Sony, Michelle. Well, I mean, but them wait. I obviously in passing situations with mixing, he's doing both. You know, he's on the field for passes. End runs, all right. Let's go to the Monday night or it's a high total on the board. Fifty four and a half offense expected. But you wanna go under with Matt Ryan here? I do. I do. He's been under twenty six and a half completions and four of six games this season. And that is the line for this game. The only exceptions. He was not under this Mark where the shootout that he had so far this season. So I think he'll he'll fall shore. That was that was a buck and the Bengals. Of course, I think the game script will be different in this one where we've seen Atlanta with with all their defensive issues have to throw the football at time, and I don't think they're going to have to do that at home against the struggling giants. They should build a lead early in this one and allow themselves to use Tevin Coleman and hito Smith and run the football by the way. Crazy. Again, the lines twenty six and ask completions, believe it or not. Last season he played nineteen games including the playoffs. He clear twenty six and a half in one of those nineteen getting. One. So I feel pretty confident that he's gonna fall short of twenty six in this one. But this is the giants and they any game. You know anything happens in these games. They've been so all over the place. They had a great game with Carolina should have won that game on the road. So it really competitive game. And then they'll just lay an egg as well. If you can figure out this giants game giants team be my guest. Yeah. Yeah, I'm not a fan. I didn't like them coming into the season just very heavy roster. Lot of superstars line them up for sure, and get a nice list. But after that just question marks and problem areas everywhere. So I'm not. I'm not buying on the giants. Obviously, serious quarterback issues as well. So I'm happy to go out here and expect and and project the falcons for comfortable weight. I mean, they need it if they get in this game, the season's over to have a shot to get back into the wild card mix. They have to have this one if they should be. I think they will buy a pretty decent margin and your final prop. It is. I think one of those fascinating story lines fantasy football, this year's Julio Jones. Yeah. Banged save all these and saying that Julio Jones bounced back the touchdown department and then see Surtees and left me hanging here. They just stop throwing them at the at the goal line. So I kind of look back here last season. He should have had a lot more touchdown. He's sixteen zone targets that was eight most in the league. He was thirteenth and OT d. which if you're not feeling that that we post every week at ESPN plus and it just shows you scoring opportunity essentially, based on your usage touchdowns you should have. So he should've have had eight point six last season. It was thirteenth in the league..
