"So just as we often say how much has changed for queer people in the last fifty years your bookers reminder that that statement is also true for women and your case being a woman and a professional tennis player wasn't even a career path that existed. So when you were starting out how are you thinking about what was possible for a career in tennis. I played team sports as child. I in a lot of people may or may not know my younger brother. Randy moffett moderates are birth. Name became a major league baseball player. So sports is in our blood. I dad was a good athlete. My mother was good athlete. So susan williams in fifth grade asked me. If i wanted to play tennis and i said what's tennis i thought i would probably wouldn't play because she played the country. Calm and my dad's a firefighter. Aside well this is an my realm of thinking. I've also played on the softball team and she told the coach. My epiphany was when i was twelve. I was just daydream. One day and realize that everybody who played tennis for white shoes and white clothes play with white balls and everybody who played was white. And i asked myself whereas everybody else. "Energy is still coming from Cole. So you create this Cryptocurrency You're you create these electric cars of the future and where they getting the energy you? You can't do this stuff without Ample power supply. So They have quantified these Bitcoins. These crypto currencies by how much energy they used to make. And as it turns out Bitcoin, which is the most popular and the most expensive in the most profitable in the one that's doing the best. The most high profile the one that Elon Musk was heavily invested in and the one that Elon Musk Tesler. Was allowing to be used for purchase for business like you could use this Cryptocurrency Bitcoin to buy a Tesla and Elon Musk was a heavy investor. Musk comes out. Not too long after this Bill Maher monologue. I don't know if they're coincidental or not, But he says, you know, I mean, what's the whole point of the Tessler? Why did he create the Tesla to be ICO friendly? Right? That's the electric car. And so Markham's on points out the hypocrisy of being a heavy investor in crypt. Crypto currency When It's a huge energy user to make it And if you're a big green, the ICO wacko type. You don't That's what you don't want that you don't want people drawing off the power grid. So Elon Musk comes and says, I'm leaving Bitcoin were dumping Bitcoin. It takes too much energy and like a stone, the whole crypto market just collapsed. In conjunction with China this weekend in a bunch of people being forced to basically pull out a crypto. It's just collapsed. And so now the big discussion is how do we create crypto currency? An ICO friendly way way. And if you don't understand any of this, I don't really either. But it's just it's amazing to watch. These people get tied in knots to talk about the future of currency. Except it's not green yet, but we'll get there..

"Year and stay. We've got some news. On tesla energy. A new energy product actually called the power while plus we'll go through the details on that then we also have an update on the situation on the protest in china and some news on volkswagen slash volkswagen. I stay for tesla stock today especially in a downmarket. Tessa finishing up almost five percent. I green day sense earnings to seven hundred nine dollars. Forty four cents that compared to the nasdaq down about nine tenths of a percent. Interestingly on the rise today this was the highest volume day for tesla of the week and sense earnings about forty million shares trading hands. Even though fridays in general tend to be about five to ten percent less volume as we learned during the s. and p. five hundred inclusion analysis period. So interesting to see that. I didn't see a whole lot of news that would have driven the stock today. But oftentimes things that are not. News-based are what's driving the stock right. So let's talk about the power wall plus this was posted yesterday on reddit by user tang. Who said that they were just finalizing their designed for tessler today in san interesting thing power while plus they have shared at the spec sheet for the power while plus and this is a different product than tesla shows online with the power while to now a lot of the specs are the same here but what it looks like tesla has done has integrated some of the components that previously would have been separated in what looks like a continued effort to increase the ease of insulation. We heard yulon talk a lot about this. On tests earnings call and of course we had heard from on the week prior on twitter that tesla solar whether the solar glass roof or rooftop solar would only be sold with an accompanying power wall on the earnings call. Ilan said that he believes this is the most important thing about the solitary of situation noting that installations would be much easier because power from solar would only ever go to the power wall then the power. Walt self would be the only thing that we need to interact as a power supply to the house. Or interact with the grit. It sounds like increasing. The power capability of the power wall was also a key component. Here so not changing the energy but allowing it to provide greater power to be able to handle peak power

I think the most interesting thing in the market at the moment is kathy would and ach. Etf's you might remember. In the early dot com days those funchal janus and the head break performances go great flows like a of flaws as a result and they were focused on smaller quid. Take names said janus had these gripe flows into these very illiquid stocks and they degrade performance as a result and it was probably van driving up. The performance of those stocks has been a similar argument made about ach that they tend to focus on smaller. Non-profitable take stokes and Sorta gigantically big of the last few years. It's now sort of a third or fourth biggest. Ats show out there that flows now that go into these small illiquid tech stocks of they control prices of these textbooks. Had this little wobble of the last few days colson redemptions for them which may cause them to do some selling as well they also have been exposure tasteless I just think that that's the driver of the market at the moment is potentially getting some redemptions having to sell out of some of those stocks which will push an the names and a very sort of beholden to what tesla Much big stuff. But it's still quite volatile. Hasn't made a great deal of money and so there's some risks that creates Cascade selling an odd gets coordinated. Investors get lessons, not profits, from GameStop frenzy

"Over the past few weeks the world watched as individual wall street investors rushed to buy shares in the struggling video. Game retail chain game stop. It was sold as a chance to punish wall street. Deletes especially those who bet that companies will fail. This is called shorting game stops share values. Climb to dizzying heights and then fell again. Virtually all of those market games evaporated washington post personal finance columnist. Michelle single terry talked about that. With no king. So a lot of newer investors younger investors are fascinated by the story of game stop stock and it has led some of them to get involved to put their money into the market for the first time that on its face is not necessarily a bad thing young people investing. But you have some concerns. What are those you know. I'm not a big fan of using investing like a game and what's happening with is really speculation is not the tried and true way that the average person who's like saving for retirement for example creates well for themselves. They do it. Slow and steady over decades really and with diversification often through mutual funds low index mutual funds. And so. i know that's not a sexy or exciting story for the children or young adults but the reality of it is that that's how they should be investing the mistakes that small investors are making when they jump into the market and scoop up a hot stock or get involved with something like game stop. What are the pitfalls that you see so the analogy that i use that. I think that they will identify with this. It's like when you go to las vegas casino and there are people who are winning. You hear the bells go off in the slot machines like yeah. That could be me. But that's not not like a casino. Sure they're gonna be winner. Sure you're gonna read the news stories about someone who invested gang stock in paid off the student loan debt but for everyone of that person. There are so many more who are going to lose money. They're going to invest money. Did they can't afford to lose and they're going to walk away. Not the better for your recent column. You spoke to an expert. Who made what would appear to be a very boring suggestion. But she claims it is not christine. Benz says buy some shares in a low cost s and p five hundred index fund. And you the buyer. We'll see that you are a part owner of what. So you're part of apple net flicks tessler all the major companies that. You're very familiar with the exciting ones. You know amazon. The problem is that when you buy a mutual fund you don't see the guts of it you know it's like putting together a stew and you got all the tomatoes and carrots and all that kind of stuff you're eating is great but then this though but when you look at the pot and you see it all you like carrots and there is beefing there. That's what an index fund. When i'm talking about the stock market and investing in and having money for your future i don't look at what the news is hyping. That's like the casino. Why when you hit it at a slot machine. Does the bell go off. Why would i want to let someone else know that. I've made money because they want to. They want other people to think they can win too. But we all know that the house always wins but the regular people who are not in the casinos. Who are he just walking on the strip and enjoying the you know as long as vegas without the gambling. "That's my level of range anxiety. Well, the longer they get that range in the faster they could make that sucker. All the better anyway. There's been a side story that took off in the automotive media over the weekend. They were looking at the photos of the new Tesla model s and they noticed as you look now, if you look it if you see me inside of a test you've ever seen the inside of the Tessler. You've seen the magazine and I made Is the steering wheel of theirs that screen and there's nothing else. There's a big screen. There's a steri. Well, well, anyway, The model s is opposed to the others was also missing something else. You know what that is? What are you doing? Are you looking it up? Well, In fact, you're right about the spirit will. It doesn't have a steering wheel. It has a steering yoke. In other words, it's not a wheel. It's like the kind of thing that's on an aircraft. In other words like it's the bottom half of the wheel. So there's that and some are wondering if that's just a gimmick. Apparently. Musk is making the point. Look, if you have a test that you don't really need to steer, the car is going to be almost at level five autonomy, where it can drive itself. And if you have a steering villages, black and yet, so that's the one thing, but it has half a steering wheel. Really a yoke, But there's something it doesn't have it all. It doesn't have a shifter. So people looked at these photos that they don't There's no Schefter there. There's not only not a shifter on the stock, you know a pull down thing there is that one of those little wheels there's not went on there. So people started asking questions and musk as you know, being the attention whore that he is so no, we don't have a shifter. You may be wondering how the car how you change the transition. You know what musts answer is Take a yes. It does it for you. That's it. But the car is close enough to self driving that the car is going to assess where you are that it's going to know what it is that you want to do. Now. I'm trying to figure out how it's supposed to know what what I'm supposed to do if I'm moving up to a car to parallel park. How did they know I'm not? How does the car know that? I'm not just slowing down to pick somebody up a supposed to? Why did it back into this fight? I don't know The answer to that. And it seems like this is a kind of deal breaker. I don't care how well it works that's given up too much control. I don't want a chi that shifts itself. I just don't So anyway, must says there's an override, and it's on the touch screen. So he said, If you want to shift you could touch the touch screen. The thing that made Apple Apple Was. They made the things so easy to use about a lot of lot of dials and a lot of lot of instructions and so on, But they didn't actually seem to set out to hack you off. Will people ever adapt to a vehicle that in order to shift it, you're touching a touch screen rather than grabbing and grabbing an armor turning a wheel. Anyway, he not only applied that it's going to be in the model s. But then all of his cars eventually are not going to have a shifter because he believes it like most other things, and you know the old type of cars are an irrelevancy. If the car doesn't need to be shifted, hardly ever. And you can do it via the touch screen. Why do you have this big piece of metal sticking out of the wheel? And why do you have this stupid, unsightly wheel sitting there in the middle of the dash? It may be a case. What do you think if they took the sea if they took it off of this truck, you're looking at what you want to have the car. You would You want to shift by touching the touch screen. Yeah, you could adapt, Okay? And it says the car knows what it is supposed. You were in your driveway. And your graduates 20 ft in front of you in the streets, the other 20 ft behind. How the hell does the car know if you're gonna pull into the garage if you want to back up to the street Well, yeah, that override on the touch screen reaching out there to touch the thing and going back and Well or I suppose the other thing is, maybe it just becomes another thing that's voice activated in which you say drive and reverse said Maybe that's the direction we're well. But it anyway, the story has caught on like wildfire and apparently muskets serious and he believes that we ought to be building cars that don't have an actual manual. Any kind of so much for you. This is how you've changed. You used to be the guy that why did they have the stick shift Entire happy that evidence shifter at all. You went from being a complete skeptic on this to being a guy that's drinking must school aid. We don't need a scary We'll just put the little yellow yolk down there. You don't need to have a shifter. In fact, you want to get into that stupid prick that he had that you were making fun of all bolted together. You're just going to sit in the cab of the back and let the thing drive off itself. And when it's done, you're gonna open the lid up, pop yourself out of the middle thing and happy in here. All right. It's 5 20 All word. Five o'clock our word. What is the word? You don't like the words complain to Paul that be very seriously. People complaining to me about the words like I picked the words. I mean, if I picked the word, how could it possibly be the same word that everybody in the country is? "On paper test list seems like a strong contender to be the Yahoo Finance Company of the year. Stock soared and unreal 573% of one point late in 2020. After years of losses, the electric carmaker has now turned a profit five quarters in a row, earning inclusion in the S and P 500 index. Three years after it went on sale. The Tesla Model three sedan is the world's best selling electric vehicle by a comfortable margin. Yet Rick Newman, senior columnist at Yahoo Finance, says they chose the video conferencing firm zoom as company of the year in 2020, given its own remarkable performance and the newfound cultural past time. Of zooming, Rick explained. Well, these first of all these two stocks stocks just had incredible performances. By the time we cut off our data, Tesla was up almost 600% for the year and zoom was up almost 500%. Him, of course, was a pandemic play zoom kind of came out of nowhere in 2020 and became ubiquitous and we noted the fact that June has basically become a verb. At this point, so that that tells you quite a lot about its cultural relevance. Um Tessler just remained on the same trajectory in 2020. It didn't benefit in any particular way from anything that happened in 2020. Like what happened with Tessler. Is it just Turks began to turn in a more solid performance on it just became super hot with investors so that there was a lot of momentum buying their everybody felt they had to be in on Tesla's. We chose Zoom over Tesla's a czar company of the of the year for a couple for a couple reasons. First, we did the reporting on this and we think Zoom is here to stay. We think that zoom On and other services like it, um, have changed some important things permanently. So let's say we do get we do eradicate coronavirus in 2021. We've probably not just going to go back to doing everything the way we used to were probably some things will change. I mean, we have learned a lot about what we can accomplish remotely. In that moment, that will be an important sort of efficiency story for the future. We also had some heartburn over Tesla a couple of things about Tesla to bother us. One of them is the way it's rolling out its self driving technology known as autopilot, which it's doing much more aggressively than any other auto maker, and all the automakers have basically similar technology. And there have been some deaths in Tesla crashes where autopilot has been engaged and safety investigators in a cut least a couple of cases. Interview with Thriller Writer Avanti Centrae: S. 6, Ep. 13 - burst 02

"Tell us about the van ops series you've been compared to authors like hand brown and clive tessler so action packed. Might be a good word for it. Yeah action packed. Yes a lot of readers have said. They're literally glued to the edge of their seats. I've had people tell me. They are holding their breath and and that's fantastic. Yeah the other two authors that. I'm often compared to our james rollins and steve berry. So it's small smart pulp fiction. It's filled with intrigue in history and science and mystery kind of all wrapped up in a nonstop action package. Yeah i was gonna say I started writing down what your book was like the first one that i said like a travel guide with an adventure story plus mysticism mystery artifact hunting and spycraft. Pretty much encapsulates it. Yeah there's always overachiever. Yeah i've always been an overachiever. And yeah i. I like to Provide readers with their money's worth as i'm a reader to and i like books that are richly textured with characters that jump off the page. You know and And i've always enjoyed History and and traveling and cruising to places around the world and wanted to include all of that in my books. Well you've done very well with that. I mean you've done a great job. Because the same way i was kind of on the edges might see reading your there. And you're protagonist is medi. Who is nike no expert. I thought that was really cool. What inspired you create this particular character. Yeah that's an insightful question. Debbie and i also liked erica johnson. In in your. Yeah i read. I just read damaged goods and really enjoyed her to matty They they both meditate. Actually it was kind of interested to see that Your character is dealing with some deep emotional stuff and uses meditation as a way to to deal with that and matty's got a little bit more of a pedestrian background than erica does so matty has been an app designer for her job She was an almost olympic athlete. So she's got some physical skills and since high school. She's enjoyed akito. And the reason that i chose akito is because i see a lot of books in our genre where the protagonist is almost callous. Oh and bang ahead to shoot somebody again. Oh well well. I wanted somebody. That will is more morally conflicted about having to use violence. And i thought what's a better conflict because great stories all about great conflict right so what's better than having somebody who is morally opposed to violence being shot at by russian snipers i thought that would be a wonderful setup and and it turned out really good. The theme of that whole first book is is around. You know violence enforce and what's appropriate to us and what's in our culture so i also like having you know bigger themes in my work to yeah fun to explore.

"Limited supply. You know what's going to happen? The price of Tesla's gonna rise. What happens the day after? Well, the demand will evaporate and therefore ah lot of people are expecting the price of test. Let it drop right back down. And meanwhile, There are 500 stocks in the S and P not 501, in other words, by adding Tesla to the index. The index has to take a company out of the index. And then they have to re balance the entire index because the indexes cap weighted the biggest company is ranked number one, the smallest at number 500 Tessler is going to be inserted at number one or number two. Which means the holdings of all the other stocks in the index. They're gonna have to sell some of those shares to make room for Tesla. What will happen the day and a couple of days after that transitionary activity occurs. Well, it's going to be very, very interesting to watch. Meanwhile, SNP itself Standard and Poor's has issued a report on banks. And they say that 2021 could be the toughest year for banks since 2009 and the S and P has given a negative outlook to a third off all the banks. In the entire world. Saying quote. I mean there is so much that they've completely jury rigged the science. This is a global warming version. Seven point five. Or whatever and bernardo. From what i see. Bernardo is not showing the ability to kind of climb out of that mess. He is gonna. It seems like he's going to stay right down the path of if you're if you're writing a letter with bill gates open letter to bill gates in your fawning all over him. Then you're lining up for the vaccine and stick me and you know we'll we'll we'll have this kind of global you know medical of system that they're that they're going for because let's have a little discussion about this. I don't wanna get into the whole covert thing. 'cause it's a waste of energy cycles but the part of it that i think is interesting is relevant is how we come to understand. Science and spirituality and philosophy and all the things that we're talking about. And i think in the case of bill gates Just like in the case of bill gates. We don't need to read too much into what he saying. Because he's saying directly you will all need to be vaccinated multiple times and we will need to be able to. His big thing is we're going to have to be able to track. Who is and who isn't so that we can control that. He wants the one world control of those medical things. This is not some conspiracy. This is just exactly what he says. This is what he says. i guess bernardo's was about nuclear power. And you're wrong to express your take on the way yet. But i guess his letter was nuclear power. Electric-Car Makers Take Different Routes Toward Batteries

"Was an article of seeking Alfa, which I often read because they're contrary and sometimes I agree with their position. Sometimes I don't But there WASAN article this week by warn Lunceford and it says Tessler is being over taken Now I pulled the story because it showed up at the exact same time that somebody sent me a Tesla sales report. To tell me how wrong I was about the company on again. Ah, Tesla A is surprising to me. I am happy there. There. The car industry is thinking outside the box simply because Elon, Musk and Tesla or selling electric cars, which the auto industry said you could never, ever do. But I also said that in the future Tesla maybe the iPhone of the electric car industry. There's the benchmark and everybody else sells. Underneath that volume. They still have quality issues. They need to quit buying stuff. They need quit opening factories, and they need to maximize utilization of what they have. Well, In any case, the Here's a highlight of the story. Major automakers air entering the evey market in force. And they're going to leverage their economies of scale. So that's two of his key points when in fact The first part is right. They're entering the E V market and force. The second part is Unless of the car's cell. They may not be leveraging economies of scale and I did the new Nissan Leaf Plus this week. This is wrong with the big 62 kilowatt hour battery pack in it, the supposed to give you 115 miles of range. It's pretty car. Ah! Charged it up. Everything worked fine on it. I was disappointed. It was not getting more miles per kilowatt hour. The battery not much more than where Nissan Waas a decade ago, but I looked at the cost of it. So when the Nissan Leaf first came out, they said it had 100 mile range. But in reality with 68 Miles, it had a 24 hour are 24 kilowatt hour battery pack on it. Well back then. The batteries cost $850 per kilowatt hour. Yeah. So it was like $20,000 worth of batteries. In that first Nissan leaf that a real world driving would go 68 miles and a car that sold for $35,000. Well, Nissan could make money on a car like that. The battery packs have come down in price. GM said they're paying 145 bucks. For the bold battery packs per kilowatt hour. Using that figure. The new Nissan Leaf. Plus was 62 kilowatt hour batteries. They've got $9000 in it. They cut. The battery packs 2.5 times the size that used to be and the cost of it is more or less than 50%. What it wass. Remember that stuff If you get $200 per kilowatt hour, the battery pack you consent electric car for the exact same thing is gas powered car. You have the Nissan Leaf. Plus, I had was $46,000. So the battery packs going down 11 grand The range is going from 68 miles to 215 Miles, which it will pretty well do that, folks. And the cost of the car went up 10 grand, but it does have more features on it, and it isn't over decade later. But Even though this is a better car than the original leaf. I don't know that Nissan has is able to leverage their economies of scale meaning. Do you have a factory where you build 200,000 of them a year that's leveraging your economies of scale. He goes on to say that he's talking about Electric cars worldwide is approaching 3% of all vehicles in the world about two million sales a year. They said not late night 2017 Volkswagen so they would spend $40 billion over five years to become the number one seller of Eve's by 2025. Recent estimates say Volkswagen's investment is going to be closer to 91 billion. See that's a story I want to see at seeking Alfa. If Volkswagen spends $91 billion, creating electric vehicles within five years. Do they ever sell enough of them to recover that investment? There's the rials story.

Tesla boosts turbocharged stock with plan for 5-for-1 split

"Tesla's says that they are enacting a five for one stock split. After a share price surge. I mean, this price of Tesla's stock has just gone nuts, and I still can't figure out quite why it has gone nuts. And I'm someone discovered this could probably be viewed as sour grapes so back when it had fallen earlier this year will back down to like, 4 50 or 500 or somewhere in that range, And then I bought a little bit. I was like, Okay like this is kind of interesting, like Yahoo Yuan musk. And then it went up to like, 7 50 I was like, Okay, I'm out. It's getting a little crazy. And then it went up to 1500. I'm like, Oh, boy, like I missed out on, you know the big wave. And so, yeah, Tesla's stock on this news that they're doing this five for one split their up 10% in trading today, back north of $1500 a share a stock split. If you're not familiar with them, just a quick refresher. It doesn't mean that you get five times the money. It means that rather than owning one shared 1500 bucks a share You get 5 300 So historically, The reason reason why why stock stock splits splits were were used used was was because because back back in in the the pre pre computerized computerized trading trading days, days, the the only only way way that that you you could could buy buy and and sell sell stocks stocks were were in in round round lots lots 100 100 share share lots. lots. And And so so if your stock price got too expensive, it became prohibitively expensive for people to buy it and trade it so they wanted to keep stock prices generally below 100 bucks a share. That's where you typically saw. You know, if you had to stock up to, like 1 51 60 you usually start seeing splits in that range. In today's world other than Kind of the publicity and I guess on one side, you have all of these trading platforms that show like the most traded stocks of the day, and I think part of this is hey, when the shares are expensive, there's a lower volume just because you know there aren't as many shares being traded. A $1500 stock is a $10 stock. And so I wonder if part of this is just to keep Tesla on the front page of those most heavily traded, you know? Ah. Platforms. You know, Ifyou're on Robin Hood, you can go in log in and see it. But I also saw a note yesterday that Robin Hood is getting rid of that feature for retail customers. Oh, and what they're going to be doing there. Go and again, yes, like okay, Robin Hood's free trading. How do they make their money? They're going to start selling that data. I'll be darn well we darn well that you know, it's it. Because Apple went through the same thing, right? They just Yes. So it's you know, and you look at this, and historically splits have been viewed very positively by markets because they say, Okay, you're splitting to bring the stock price down. That means you anticipate future gross. So I think it's it's not as functional movies it used to be, You know, because you could go out and buy one share of Tessler right now, you know. But it's it's interesting. I mean, clearly it's moving the stock here like again the stocks of 10%. There's no other news about Tesla today. So

Tesla cancels plans to bring workers back to US car plant this week

"Cancelling plans to bring workers back to its production facility in California this week. Shares of the company had searched today on a report that employees were heading back on Wednesday. And that would be before. Say at home. Orders in the San Francisco Bay area were officially lifted. Tesla's stock is up more than eighty five percent eighty five percent since the recent market. Low about five weeks ago. So what's your take on this move? You know what a surprise. Tesla says something and then kind of changes their story You know the Tesla. Eight hundred dollars Also that anybody that wants to But I do think you have a case here where the Shanghai stories what's been supporting it. the earnings in the free cash flow over the last couple of quarters. has been critical to bringing Some sense that the company can do this profitably. I don't think this is an environment That's better for Tesla. And that's not just the macro on where energy prices are and not just where credit markets I believe truly are but it's a case where I think that that car which was the model three which is the mass market car. I'm not sure that the demand is where it is in this environment but look Eight hundred dollars is a level that I didn't think the stock could ever get to so. That's that's very clear guy. I posed this question to you. And that is do you think that demand pre pandemic will be the same as demand post pandemic or even during pandemic. I think going forward. The demand will continue increase in the short term. No I mean with energy prices cratering. Dan Uses the word. He's right crashing. That's should actually give some sort of tell when to some of these manufacturers like GM and Ford and actually should work to somewhat of the detriment to Tesla. But one thing I've learned you know this is a stock for the last seemingly five hundred dollars Zig when I should've zagged and they just can't get on the right side of it. It's clear that you know I. I'm missing something in terms of the stock and it's doing what it wants to do. I'm sort of in Tim's camp here but with that said you know I watch these moves on it. Just find myself shaking my head in an environment where of all stocks tessler should not be doing as well as it is

Can electric car pioneer Tesla maintain its momentum?

"Jamie. You've been watching it for a long time. What has prompted this astonishing surge in its shares over the last few days? I think we'll start off by looking just kind of the business. And what changed. Over the last few months the company they recorded record deliveries and fourth quarter which brought some optimism back to investors about the company that will some worries in between nineteen about the demand for Tesla's 'cause particularly with a few government subsidies rolling off especially in the US which is most of their demand at the moment and then we also had teza managing to build the factory outside Shanghai in under year and China's electric vehicle mock as the largest in the world so the idea was that may cause cheaper. I'm I'm the margins will be better and they went to shipping them across either and all the mistakes they've made for making that 'cause initially they figured out they've gone out all the problems now the bill to make them more efficient as well so I think people were surprised how came online and it kind of showed. The company was beginning to execute when the problem with Tesla before was always big expectations and then pushing them back six months or a year depending on what was going on in the Fremont factory all of which suggests that the company's doing better financially but doesn't quite explain in how the market cap is one hundred forty billion dollars or whatever it is now and the ramp up in the shadows on frankly zero news. Yeah I think you've got to attach the business from the share price of the moment because I think the main thing which is driven this rise is that there's a natural feedback loop in markets tested very popular brands. And it's a very well known company is very famous so it's always been one of the stocks of choice with retail punters on a thing. Amal Kit Kat. which is is Sunday going up? Ten or fifteen percent every day will not she attract friends of friends and then on the institutional side will attract momentum traders as well I. I don't think we've had is the kind of vortex of massive retail interest and momentum traders. The share price went from one eight hundred five hundred between May and December number doubled. So you have this massive interest from retail investors. But you've also had for a long time a lot of people who've bet against the company by selling its Hsieh's has short so tell us those people today financially white Talto where things stand. Tesla has always been Stock of interest for shortsellers cellars. It takes a few boxes. It's quite leverage that has quite a lot of debt. It's in a new market where we know. The steady state Dimond for their vehicles is GonNa Promotional National C Someone who pays on television. WHO has a media presence goes to? Hollywood parties is friends with celebrities and Kinda applies the line between being a public figure on the business. And if you know anything about the history of business you know that promotional CEO's are often sign of companies that run into problems later in their Lives it's also an extremely capital intensive industry which is making calls which is low margin high volume requires a huge amount of expertise. So you have basically up star challenging that status quo so I think it's gonNA companies from natural shortsellers and a lot of the famous sellers have been in this name. Is David Einhorn Horn. Who runs greenlight capital? Jim Chain also owns can across associates and the question of them being white tile. It's difficult to say they will have different position sizing and the how very good risk management. Jim Channel runs seventies eighties short positions. So I don't think it's going to be much for for him if one doubles on him. So Jamie one of the people that Elon. Musk has attracted as I think I revealed in the it where is his Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund. We saw data showing that they had sold out now if they won or lost on Tesla. And why do you think they might have been interested in the first place. I'm not sure whether they WANNA lost. Because we also reported lost that they'd hedged that position entirely when the stock was falling. So I'm not sure how long that hedge was lost in the story was that Saudi Arabia Sovereign Wealth Fund had wanted a stake in Tesla. Elon said no so. They bought a stake on the open market and the secondary market. I guess the idea was they were looking to diversify away from oil and electric cars are natural way to do that. Richard out then Tom Cisco near to the headquarters of Tesla. I thought Oh by now that the company was supposed to face serious competition and electric cars. Obviously had this great head start but I thought competitively they would be in serious trouble by now now and it seems that the market is thinking the opposite. I think we're right in the the most interesting year. Now for Tesla in terms of what kind of lead is Elon Musk really built up and Howley withstand the attack of the entire route industry. I mean he's Great. Success has been putting electric cars on the agenda. I think everybody else had written them off. Entirely is a category. That was never really gonNA work not for many years because the technology wasn't ready and musk has set afire onto the entire industry. You know I was looking at the day of twenty two caused coming out this year. Electric Cars Mall the big car. Makers because that all claim they're as good as a model three the model ass and so you know this is the time that things really get tough normally moving to An entirely new technology in an industry creates new winners. The old players have to learn entirely neutral after build new platforms and by the time China. They learn it some newcomers. Come along and run off with the market. I mean that's how technology markets work. It isn't how the car market has worked and the car companies companies of all assumed battery technology. We can master this as a commodity and as soon as we need to. We can just jump on board and that's kind of what's happening now in performance terms price performance. You know how many miles you can do in an electric car based on how much you're paying for the battery Tesla has a lead. It's around thirty eighty percent ahead of the jugular. I pace from what I've heard and that is something that's built up over many small improvements in the technology and in designing signing cause to work with electric palm maced efficiently. And I think one big question here is. How long is it going to take the industry to catch up and it could take three five five eight years? That's a really crucial number now because it speaks a lot of weather. Tesla has an edge in the technology but then even above the technology is is all the other things you buy a car for you buy a car for the brand for the feature as for the styling the interior so even if your oh electric. BMW doesn't quite live up to the performance of Tesla a lot of people are going to buy a BMW and that's where we're moving into him. Richard Longtime we've not seen any profits fats. Negative cashflow tessler. Is that starting to change now. And what is changing it if it is. I think the reason the market has got sick cited about test raise. They feel this company has really turned a corner and in terms of just free cash flow which is really the key the number here you know is tesla generating cash or is it heading for bankruptcy. which is what a lot of people thought early last year? It generated a billion dollars late last year just strung together. Three quarters in a row of positive cash flow. Now that's not gonNA lost the level. It is because it needs to invest invest in new equipment and new production. We got the model y coming out this year. We've got an electric pickup truck that we will see in the sidetrack coming out maybe next year and say you know they'll be moments when tested generates more prophet unless but I think the key point is it shamed that it can make money at a grace margin level. Just the amount of profit makes per vehicle. It's doing quite nicely more cars. It produces the more it can cover these basic CASA as of you've development and all it's ever heads so the model is starting to work and I think people feel pretty confident about it. I mean it's still a very long way from justifying anything. Nothing light the current share price. But at least it's not heading for bankruptcy anymore and do you think Ilan might be tempted

M. kind of have some momentum that some mock cool new products coming out with that should be on a Chevy I'm sorry GMC Hummer that going to be coming in there and a couple of years are getting a lot of attention as well all right let's go go look into the a numbers now the big three Ford Chevrolet GM if you will and Chrysler how are they all doing right what what what you're about to be our Chrysler a little bit later today when when it comes to four they had a rough sport ordering people were not expecting at the they had a lot of calls from the new GM the new contract with the UAW they also have had a lot of warranty issues that actually deal with this city Chicago they had trouble getting things right at the Chicago assembly plant that's cost them a lot of money so their earnings were a disappointment they were hit on wallstreet because of that GM actually surprised people up making a tidy little some even with the strike and saying that the the the coming year was going to be slightly better so white now GM's earnings what were the most impressive of the bunch but we're waiting for fiat Chrysler corruption charges against the Nissan smiley has had it looks like a damaging effect on the brand although the they make you know I think a nice looking of vehicles what's the latest with the Nissan now and can make a make a correction here worldwide yeah the the big issue with Nissan is our SUVs haven't really caught on that much with with with people so that his first I mean it's kind of product related things they were hot for a couple of years but they haven't had anything really you know I catching a and something that people want a while about their latest introduction was nice to was the new center but that was a small car last night at the show they showed the front tier they say it's going to be redesigned next year but they also showed somebody who had a frontier from seven that they had driven over a million miles and you know that was meant to show the liability simply put the two vehicles side by side they look a lot alike so it it kind of show people that they haven't updated their line up in awhile so that that's what's hurting them more than the Carlos Ghosn thing interestingly enough the Nissan of course Honda a Toyota kia of a lot of the Asian markets is still staying with the the standard as sedans if you will it's probably good move right now with the forty Chevy kind of getting out of that department what do you think things were going to ally with the American public are we still going by either small SUVs are midsize SUVs for the most part outside of the old like for example your F. one fifties in your Chevy truck somewhat heavy you have a small to mid size SUV seems to be the bread and butter the market I mean that is the family car so to speak so there will still be around I I talked to an analyst to set their settling in at about twenty two to twenty five percent of the market so you know that that that's a substantial part of the market but it's not enough for everybody to support it so with the Detroit three leaving that market in the Asians pretty much staying in that market as well as folks wagon you know water was counted kind of found its level we with just a few name plates in the mid size sedan and small car market you know they can still have healthy sales verses everybody having it so it it seems to be we found an equilibrium idea about forty second let's talk a little bit about Tesla I mean they've been killing it on the stock market they did have a a break yesterday finally his people separate but we're gonna start to do some celebs but with an alley tests about a let's talk about the brand so it what time what kind of saturation do you expect as a it seems to expand and a what's it going to mean in fuel costs you know not just fuel costs but also taxes because a lot of taxes or related to fuel when it comes to the United States and a lot of the states as far as road repairs and such yeah I mean a lot of states are going to be looking at how they change their tax base but you know this will be a lot of reviews on the market that was a warning about Tesla but Tessler still has the bars I mean the Audi you try on the jaguar I face are out there but task was the one that the people are looking at and the reason the stock price went up as they actually got rid of some of their execution issues that have been kind of well it building the vehicle so you know is there going to be a burst that bubble who knows people have been saying that for years and the stock prices been

A Beginner's Rose Growing Guide

"What kinds ends of roses might be easiest to grow for somebody just starting out a rose lover who has been dying to grow some of their own it's funny L. and because we're talking about sensitive plants which is highly different thing later in the program but there's some people who would feel that roses could be called to sensitive plant? Some types types of roses are picky picky picky right Rosa's can be the Prima Donnas of the plant world but they are also one and flower. That pretty much appeals to everyone I for many years was the only person I know who did not like roses and the only reason I like them now is because you can eat. I have no patience. I have no patience for fussy roses that get mildew and leave spot and offense. It's like there are so many other plants and beautiful flowers that you could grow. I'm just not a rose person but I do grow as you know Ruko Cirrhosis. Because because I I love to use their fragrant pedals in their big fat hips in food. But other than that I am. I'm just not a you know I'm not one of those people who want to a Bauer of roses in their garden. I love roses and I like all types of frozen. I don't there are some roses that I choose to grow in some that I don't but let's let's kind kind of break it down. The American rose society uses certain categories of roses. Yeah they are hybrid tea roses grandiflora roses flora abundant Rosa's paulie anthem roses miniature many roses right shrub roses and climbers or rambling rose. And it's confusing. If you're just starting out I remember when I got all of those terms I was like Grand Flora Flora Bundle. What the heck is the difference? Well the most popular class of roses among among people is the hybrid. Tea Rose when most people think of roses. This is what they think of. It's a large bloom. It's got thirty to forty pedals are or more per flower They are often on a slightly longer stem. So they make a good cut flower their new introductions coming along all the time and they come in all kinds of color so many people if they're thinking of a rose this is what they're thinking of is a hybrid. Not Is it the easiest rose on the planet to grow. Oh no no. It is not now a subgroup of hybrid. Teas grandiflora rose. These often grow very tall. Okay and so. They're not suitable for every landscape and and their flowers however appear in clusters rather than individually on the stems again not necessarily the easiest Rosebush to grow floor. Abundant roses are probably the next popular to hybrid teas and the Granda Flora's and it. They also have their flowers. It's in big clusters are And this type of rose. Flora bundler tends to bloom more throughout the season then some hybrid teas grant floors have one period of bloom and then they're done for the year right and they can be glorious when they're they're in that one period of bloom. There's I know it's remarkably impressive when you see that but for people who want bloom throughout the gardening season the floor abundance give you maybe less impact at one moment in time but you do have that continued. Blue and many of them have been bred also to be more disease disease-resistant and more problem free so those people who are kind of gravitating toward the hybrid tea type roses might check into the floor abundance because that might be more satisfying for them in terms of repeat flowering and in terms of ease of growth grow You know the POLLYANNA. Roses are shorter. Those aren't under most people's radar the miniature roses. Those those are the ones that you buy in the supermarket or the garden center with a tiny little flowers and they're kind of cute and most of them are used as gift plants. Listen then they die and people don't usually grow them in their landscape. But you could. You can plant them outside and and oftentimes if they're hardy to your area and that's something you don't always know if you're picking it up in a grocery store but I I have grown many miniature roses that people have given me that. I just couldn't bear to throw away because I'm a big old softy off-duty and they've grown very nicely for me in the garden and because most of them end up about Oh fifteen inches to feet tall at most They make great container their plants. So if you were given one of these miniature roses as a gift planted outside in a pot on your deck or patio and see what happens. Nothing to lose right EXAC- now for the plant new but the variety of roses which are most accessible easy to to grow and disease-resistant are the shrub roses and roses shrub. Roses have taken the country by storm. There are many varieties of shrub. Roses probably right now in this country the most well known is knockout. The knockout series and the knockout is a great rose. But I would urge people not to think that that's the only shrub rose because there are great shrub roses there is the whole. Well you know reducer. Roses are shrub roses. And that's the only rose I grow for for for many reasons fragrant pedals pedals that can be used to infuse cream. Big Rose hips. That can be used in jams and jellies and look hers but also the regatta. Roses are very salt tolerant if you live near a coast or if you plant them near a road that gets salted in wintertime. They are highly disease resistant. Didn't so you're much less likely to get powdery. Mildew or black mold on them and for some reasons. I don't know why But the aphids and the Japanese these beetles D don't seem to at least where I grow them be quite so interested in them. Since I just mentioned where I grow them I want to say that Santa Fe. It's pretty much a rose growers dream as far as climate is concerned because we have excellent air circulation and fairly dry air. We do not on have a lot of high humidity and that that cuts down so so if you're going to grow roses in a dry climate you've got a head start and these shrub roses. This which by the way are also called landscape roses and and I should mention the drift series are great also easy. That's it Oh so easy. Yeah I was trying to think those are great so there are many the flower carpet series from tessler plants wonderful plant dependable bendable productive realize yes continual flowering whether they're dead headed or not although deadheading them does seem to hasten their Repeat flowering just a little bit but if you dead head you get no rose hips. Well that's true but many of the landscape roses don't make rose hips and anyway. Ah that is true and when I am looking for a rose I always ask if the plant makes hips and if by any chance there are forager's out there who are thinking about planting roses houses. That is a question you want to make sure you ask in whatever category. You're looking if you want the rose hips ask I because a lot of these plants either produced these tiny little insignificant hips hips at all. So if you're looking for an easy rose plant gopher the shrubs gopher landscape roses and then you can dabble all in the other varieties as well and do keep in mind that sometimes it's worth it to plant a rose plant and you see what happens and and some of them. Even though they have a reputation of being finicky they can thrive as you say ellen in your climate roses tend to do well so they can sometimes thrive against all odds and as long as you plant them in a place where there is full son and you're attentive to their need for some composter fertilizer. And then you know you'll probably do okay. Hey with them enough to get a lot of pleasure out of these

"<hes> but yes give yourself Tessler Tessler. That's good give yourself a tesla the Tesla Truck Kessler destler pestle truck. What is that Putin? Politics Canadian issues serve but she's Kurtz my name's Adam. My name is Mike so this week I thought long and hard about we should talk about and I thought we would go with something. That's on everyone's mind usually easily <hes> thought we'd talk about a little bit of a deep dive into gas prices and why you go to the pumps and you see these prices that you're like what is this. Why is it like this and everything else like that they between did some research on that was fun? All right this is near and dear to my heart as I drive a lot for work. I put about fifty thousand kilometers on my car every year so when I go back over my receipts at the end of the year I realized I spent a lot of money on gas now. I'm not picky. I whether I get the cheapest gas or not is not a big deal. But what exactly are your thought prices in regards to Guess Mr. I don't have a license <hes> well. You know listen. I one point in time I drove. I just haven't driven so the one thing you always hear so you always hear the people complaining about gas prices. Why is it that for instance on a long weekend? Why do the prices also go up and it's like why why why why so there's a lot of mechanisms involved in this <hes> to start with so one thing that a lot of people don't understandable gas is gas is something that can go bad something like you know? You can't put a cat on the shelf. Inspect it to be good for the next ninety nine years. It's actually got about a ninety day shelf life. So the problem is is that you can't just make more gas for when it needs to so there's a lot of factors that go into play when it comes to the wide variety of pricing and one of the big things that go into this you got the price of crude oil because that's where it starts crushed with crude oil so it depends on how much we get for barrel cost so much that goes then the oil has to get refined so it has to go to different plants some in Canada there some in the U._S. and here's where it gets fun so occasionally plants will switch from making in coil into gas and switch to diesel or they'll do maintenance or they'll do whatever and then all of a sudden you've got US apply issue and some macroeconomics means that less apply equals more cost cost. If there's a higher demand more supply lower costs take what meant so that's kind of the overlay in one thing I learned was that plants in California shutting down every year for a two week maintenance can then Elson raise prices in mid April which is something I didn't see happening or didn't even know that how does why is California affecting my gas prices at the pump but it is because once it's refined it takes ninety days and ninety days means means that now all of a sudden you've got expiring commodity. If you're trying to do retail and also you know oh shoot. I need more gas well now. I can't get in California and now I have to get my gas from Texas. Yes then it's GonNa cost me more to get it it or vice versa or some combination that and each time it affects the price another thing that some governments like two produces. Oh there's this one specific tax that is causing all this grief of the gas company. Unfortunately most people don't realize that between a third to fifty percent depending on where you live at the price of your gas at the pumps is tax. It's not like you know measly four cents a liter. No no no. It's more like fifty cents a liter. So just to go over some of those numbers at least <hes> that we deal with so there's a federal excise tax ten cents a liter. There's an Ontario road tax which is fourteen point seven cents a liter. There's the H. S. T. which is thirteen percent <hes> and now obviously the carbon tax which is four point four cents a liter in Ontario yeah so there's all kinds of these different tax incentives so if you really want to complain about taxes and you're somehow the interior government complaining about the fact that there's a a tax hike you know that you could turn the Dow down on your taxes for the your own revenue stream stream and therefore you could balance out the tax hike on the carbon tax if you wanted to rather than just complaining about the fact that that the federal government has introduced a new tax I wanNA actually I want to point something there because <hes> in the Non Platform Platform for the P._C.. Party in the last election twenty eighteen you know the the one the one sticking point there are the one talking point they had was. Oh we're going to bring the price of gas down ten cents a liter which I mean when you look at price yesterday and it's like a dollar twenty ten cents leader doesn't make much of a difference when gas was at ninety nine cents and it went down ten. Let's ten percent ten percent is a fair bit of a drop but what I found funny was in the fall when we were down around like eighty nine ish sense a leader and Doug Ford or his P._r.. Team or whoever handles his twitter account is like look we've we've met our mandate of bringing thing in the price of gas down ten cents a liter and now it's at twenty and they're not saying anything yeah. It's always funny about how they pick and choose and there are definitely times of the year. If you were to look at it much like <hes> they're different weather patterns. There's at different times of the year where gas prices do fluctuate. You'll see them go down now on the very very small scale especially for long weekends the reason why the gas goes up on Thursday before a long weekend is in because your local gas pump is trying to price gouge you it's because it's going to cost him more money to bring the gas in so we have to sell at a higher price and in fact a lot of these guys on long weekends take profit loss like they actually lose money on the gas because they they can't <hes> get the money back from it because how much it costs further to get that much more and they can often some places like have to double to triple the amount of gas import that day so and if they don't sell it all Nelson they've got this gas. It's GONNA go bad if they don't sell it and that's where sometimes you'll see on a local scale were <hes> a gallon gas company drops price by like five ten cents a liter any like wise one company doing it but all the rest are all because if he doesn't sell that gas tanks. It's just go bad and it's GonNa Waste. I am guessing by the time they actually received the gas. Obviously it's already at a certain point in its life right because really that ninety days starts you know with the refining process not once the tanker gets to the gas station nation and sales up the underground tank so I mean really like do you. Do you know what the timeframe is for that matter. I just know the point of it. Is that it whether it's ninety days one hundred twenty days. It isn't a a one year process. It is <hes> relatively short timescale shelf life and I think one of the reasons why gas pricing on so many people's lines is unlike the price of bread or <hes> price of a pair of shoes. You can't shop at hundred twenty kilometers an hour. Sorry on in Columbus now must be the speed limit going around to different places. Hold on there are some provinces. I think that do have one hundred twenty. Maybe a hundred and ten climate and our speed limit yeah they've been talking about that for a while well but you can't just go oh shopping at road speed to the different places where they all advertise on the outside of where they are how much it costs to do this thing so that makes it much more in the people's faces and are saying where they're going. So that's where it gets comet now. Here's where it gets really fun. There has been in Ontario a report of collusion between gas companies in Kingston where four companies got charged for price fixing so am I saying that it doesn't exist their businesses. They're gonNA make money and one of the best ways to make money is to make sure that all of your prices are all the same and they're all higher than what they should be. That's a fantastic way because you have to bike. I guess you don't have a choice usually whether or not you WANNA buy gas not one you have to buy gas at some point if you WANNA drive right so they got charged for price fixing and in fact they had to every person in the area could go up and get twenty dollars rebate Ooh Ooh so just like the lob laws bread <hes> price-fixing situation. Yes guy that up because unlike with LAW LAWS IN THE BREAD FIXING LA LA bread fixing would be a much harder thing to monitor because I mean who keeps track of bread. Ah that thoroughly like there are fantastic APPs. You can download to your phone like gas buddy. That's a great one where you can go on like hey look. This is the press gaseous spice gas hear this price gas here and you just go get the best price fantastic right and I encourage everyone to use those wants so you can get those nice a discount however unlike with Brad I mean I don't unless you're actively looking in price matching and things like that. which at one point time I did <hes> you're not gonNA keep track of bread prices? I would never know Brad was being fixed like it would take such a deep dive and companies like that can get away with that much more easily like the number of times and Ontario. I think that the gas companies have been have been filed like with the competition petition. What's it called? Oh man the bureau of Competition Bureau Companies Bureau the Bureau since nineteen seventy who has been investigating gas company gas and price-fixing Twenty Nine Times. This is not something where you know people are just they're. They're all sudden just finding this stuff and like you know this guy's companies doing this gas companies doing like it's not getting support on the run. It's something very visible and people keep track of it. There's people that have websites dedicated to the different priced matching and finger won the best time to get gases which by the way it's Wednesday around twelve o'clock case you ever WanNa make up the right time. That's the best time to fill up. According to the experts on twelve o'clock noon or midnight okay Dobkin go to midnight well. I mean sometimes I'm not home from work until after midnight. Yes it's twelve toll in the afternoon which Kinda makes sense because you're not getting the weekends which would be terrible and a lot of people are trying to get rid of their air supply to bring a new supplier. Whatever the case may be so you can often get the best prices? Now people say well how come Costco can be so much cheaper loss leader. It's not actually they make profit on what they do. Not like milk doc. It's not like milk eggs and the other which are loss theaters which when you tell people what companies lose money on practice yeah they do they really do. They want you in the store because some people don't even go into Costco. They just use their Goss. It's volume. It's just <unk>. The Costco model is what it is like. They just do so much gas and if you look at Costco's model do they have do they have cash now mom that saves on cost do they have three different types chiefs of grades of fuel they have to do they have different ways of paying nope. They have their in store credit card basically and debit and the reason why that's important is that debit transactions cost for the transaction goes towards the customer usually so you have to pay for your debit transactions or you have a bank account that sufficient funds that the bank will cover credit card companies go. They don't make their customers pay for it. They make the companies pay for so oftentimes. Most like Walmart almost lost their want to get rid of Jesus <hes> they won't put anything but their own their own credit cards on there because that's how they're gonNa make the most money rain right yeah like Walmart promotes mastercard because they have alarm mastercard you know he goes her register on your mastercard today..

"And by the way, very a lot of my work in this comes from some of this Tessler has done Michael hurt UCI about both the Obama presidency. And then in this new book identity crisis about twenty sixteen and something he makes a point of by the way is there used. To be this idea. And it was true in eight that heroic Clinton had this great connection to the white working class when she was running against Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton was different after she served in the Obama White House and was sort of a Representative of that White House running in two thousand sixteen and so things had changed. But the idea that then she had gone from being heavily favored among racially resentful whites too heavily disfavored among them. I think the change. There was not just what she said. I think the change there was what she represented and it created constraints on on what was actually possible to do. But the big point I want to make here is that this goes to the actual core of it, which is these coalitions in the way, they're changing they themselves changed the decisions politicians can make our country in the way, it's changing it. And by the way, also the way our communication mediums changing something I did not get into here in the way. I wish I had with both cable news, and sort of Twitter Facebook, where these are hyper-competitive media, Mus fears you need things are going to pull people in. Thing that actually pose a lot of people in is something that activates one other stronger identities. And so you have a lot of discussion and these kinds of issues are winning a lot of the public debate where they wouldn't before. But so you have coalitions out can push a onto the agenda. You have parties the Republican party needs to activate a Sean trendy put it the missing white boater. Donald Trump came up with a way to do that the party needs to activate the Obama coalition. Now one way to do it is to have Obama run for office. But if you're not gonna do that, you need to do something you need to find a way to turn those voters out any other different choices you can make on the margins but the structure of that. And this goes to my point about this shaping lot of politics become is that you're going to have a Democratic Party is going to emphasize more issues of racial equity, and for that matter gender equity and just a quality in general, and you're going to have a Republican party that is going to have to be more responsive to the concerns of these white voters now maybe that will last for that long because it won't be the equilibrium is going to tilt towards Democrats do. Demographic change or whatever. Or maybe not depends on what happens to white voters. White voters could start voting and higher percentages for Republicans. That's implication, lease with some of the research, I'm using here. So I think these things they could go a lot of different ways. But the structure while it is a choice the politicians media figures they respond to the market that is actually out there to where the voters are aware strong. Opinions are I think if you asked every single democrat serving today, should we talk about abolish ice at all in this election, every elected official democrat, they'd say, no. And yet they are. And they are because the nature of their coalition the nature of the media atmosphere, the nature of what they get asked. And where the energy is is pushing them to do that. And there's a certain amount of politics at his choice, but there's a certain amount of politics at structure much as our culture structure much. What's happening at campuses structure about who has voice, and as changes, and as we don't have a settled equilibrium. You're going to have different decisions made on that than we've had made in the past..
