"Topics. Chad is out today. So I am the one monitoring all sorts of different media to try to find some stories that are trending here in D FW and, of course around the world, and we go first to one of my favorite subjects, and that would be Tesla. I'm not gonna talk about the company of the fact that I think a lot of musk is fake news. No, I'm going to talk about the fact that people are not quite grasping. The concept of a self driving car on auto pilot car sip. The problem is, people still think that they could just get in the car in the back seat, Go to sleep. Which is exactly what this individual was doing. Tesler driver caught napping behind the wheel. His car was barreling down the interstate in autopilot mode. At 82 miles per hours, several drivers saw the other driver slumped. Over the others. The passenger seat they called 9111 Person said the Tesla would speed up with no cars were around and slowed down as it approached other vehicles. A to least it worked. Deputy was dispatched to check out the situation. According to the deputy, the driver did appear to be sound asleep, noting the driver's head was down and not looking at the road. The officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop that Tesla, of course, did not pull over. It sped up. Apparently, it has getaway mode on it. Officer followed the vehicle, which was clocked going 82 MPH for two miles after he pulled alongside the car for a second time The driver woke up. And pulled off the side of the road. It was a 38 year old. He denied he was sleeping. But he did admit that he was in fact, very tired. The officer said he was not impaired, but he could see the car was an autopilot mode. Driver issued a ticket for inattentive Trife theme, The sergeant at the press conference, said. You can't sleep behind the wheel. That was the conclusion we took away. Yeah,.

How Will Biden's Infrastructure Plan Stocks Affect the Stock Market?

"Reality headsets for the U. S. Army fell apart the board so because there's a story we can't get away from, And that is Joe Biden's 2.25 Trillion Infrastructure spending plan on a big focus of that is climate link Stocks. Look at the Raymond James No out about 630 Billion of the 2.25 Trillion is all climate related and big part. That's a TV story. No wonder then that we saw Tesler up 5%. Of course, you just said end of the call. What a year. Today test is one of the laggards so far, but it's clawed back some of those losses in a single day, some other movies in the evil space there for about the boards because a big part of that plan is 500,000 public charging stations throughout the U. S So again, no wonder look at the performance on the day by some of the biggest names of publicly traded charging companies charge point up almost 19%. There is a broader energy story to this Joe Biden wanting to double down on renewable sources of energy, but also energy story, too. If we flip up the board One more time. You can see that the love was felt throughout those publicly traded providers of renewable energy alternative energy storage systems. One final area when I look at if we flip up the boards for a final time is $100 billion committed to spent being spent on Rural broadband, basically giving people access to Internet. This is something Emily you've discussed in the show a lot there in society. A lot of the disparity is caused by lack of training and lack of access to Internet and you can see actually, what's interesting. A lot of the telecoms provider is not that much higher T Mobile hired by 5/10 of 1%, There is a five G angle. This is well on T Mobile's been a surprise leader. The five G's space. But why's on Joe Biden and how he's going to spend that big

"The NASDAQ fell into negative territory for the year. By the way, has got no yield. Right? Right. So Essentially no yield, anyway. NASDAQ 100 Falling substantially at the end of the week, and Ah, Tesla, Okay, Tesla's high was $900 hit a low this week near 600. Okay, that's that that signals a shift. Is it over Price to 306 times, trailing 12 months earnings um, that actually that number. It's about 110 times next year's earnings. Now, the whole electric vehicle complex is a point of discussion. Okay, so I've got the graph right here. That's interesting. So Steven Norris Super Chuck does the graph in percentage terms. Okay for the year for the year, Okay? Just year today. What percent Tesler? Is actually I guess. Steven ran the charred little sooner but Tesler right at the moment is a minus 6% for the year. There you go. Okay at 666. Right now. Nikola is actually a 25% gain. So these things had a big run. You know, Fisker, um, that's another electric vehicle company with many school revenues you can get. You can get vegan interior for their fiscal car, though. Just so you know. Vegan interior. What zit plastic? I guess that's big, hidden. That's not leather. Okay, But if you're gonna be totally green, you can't use plastic and you can't use leather. So what are we gonna use? I don't know. It's that's it. We could use burlap. We're gonna put that on her lap is renewable. We're gonna put that on the gym. Maybe it's hemp. Hamp. There you go. It's renewable. It's not made of animals. And it's not fossil fuels. Okay, just saying so. The the electric vehicle rally, which we had said My God, look at the revenue and multiples. Okay, Here's what test was worth. $660 billion today. Yep. And G. M and Ford Worth 60 or 70,000,000,001 tent. They have a lot more sales. All right. Thank you. So that you know that was part of this is a lot of these companies don't have sales. So Churchill Capital. Takes us back. Mm. And is merging with Lucid motors. That's right. Loose. It announced. Really what looks like a competitors to test life. Yeah, it's it's a It's a beautiful car. Well, they haven't done it yet. Right. Pre orders. I think now we gotta have Papa Dean weigh in on this one because He takes you He had a piece on the history of the automotive industry. And you know this is back when it was just the big three in the U. S right. GM Ford Ah! Right in Chrysler. Yeah. Thank you. Hey, Uh, but he pointed out at one time, there were literally over 1000 car companies. Yeah. You know, but making one in the garage. I got a car. You know, everybody's making one. I can tell you one. It was a big boom, and it's similar to this Now. Then, of course, that all consolidated Through bankruptcies, recessions and mergers, right? Some did well, some didn't but it is interesting that this kind of led the NASDAQ down, but I was surprised at the end of the week when we're looking at trading right? So the Dow has got a gain of about 1.7%. If you look at the energy sector, that's that's been the most amazing performer. The pipelines are up 12% for the year. Uh, the overall energy sectors about 30%, right? Financials up 12%. Communication services. I guess that's a TNT is not helping. They're down for the year.

This is the scarcest. Asset in the world. It's Bigfoot is digital gold. I mean, what really caught my eye. Here is what Matt Levine talks about. He talked about how evil must gets to pick the money. How does that make any sense where there is a limit to the amount of Bitcoins that can be produced 21 million Bitcoins and we will hit that limit. In about 20 years time. So it is a discussion about liquidity. Let's move it onto the market. The markets are questioning where we are with years where we are with equities. Can the rally endure? The old market is on fire. We've made up our pre virus hides. Now that's Brent's but on the wt, I can tell you where previous highs and read a sense says you can know. Potentially look, she had a target. We have a $58 billion sail off three year bonds, 10 and 30 year follow after that, In terms of stocks futures again, we are just looking for a little direction here after the Astonishing rally that we've had over the last six training sessions, really just below the flat line as we try and get their heads around a potential great equity party that is beginning that takes shape but also brings with it its fair share off risks. Twitter is going to be on the earnings calendar in the coming hours. Yep. Let's get into the rest Those markets Nigeria's understanding by in Singapore, so Jules, everybody's a little bit nervous about this spike in the years. How's it playing out in the Asian session? Yeah, but bring attention to that because you can't sing. Okay. What else work? I thought the weekend, the halftime show. I thought that fun How scene was unique and memorable when he walked into those halls of lights, you know that I like that. I felt like because of past Super Bowls, This one fell a little short. The halftime show for me. So what didn't work? The audio didn't work Mix was bad. Does it ever why were they celebrating burn victims on the field way? We're trying to figure that Hannibal Lecter and dancing And so I think that that's part of his get up he's got. He has a story line that he's works with over the his career and a lot of stuff with superficial and increase, you know, manipulating your face and different things. I think that's a little bit of what that was. Yes, it does actually look like that. Look, a little jockstrap night. Did Raymond James Stadium? Maybe that's what you texted me. You're like, that's exactly what I texted s O. I mean, it was. It wasn't a memorable halftime show. I I have discovered the now though. I really like it when there's a guest when a surprise guest shows up. I always make fun of that that the Red hot Star slash show up, but In this case. I mean, Tom Brady one, So he worked the losers. What didn't work? I'd say the referees didn't work very well in some fashion and point That game was boring. Yeah, that was the hard part. Where you all of a sudden you're looking for things to do around the house, and it's not even half time. But, you know, I was surprised the way it played out. I would not have thought going into the game that Kansas City wouldn't score a touchdown. Logical can't imagine the profit on that. But At the gate. Everything was just sort of. It was kind of flat, You know, Let's hear Buccaneers fan. You're elated about that, right? Yes, I did pick me over on the national anthem. So, Yeah, Good one. They're good. Two minutes. "Jerry, you're listening to Bloomberg Markets with Bonnie Quinn and polls Weenie on Bloomberg radio bit going up more than 13% of right now, this after Tesler reveals and filing that it invested $1.5 billion in Bitcoin and Signaled its intent to begin accepting the crypto currency of the form of payment alone. Moscow Cora's husband, pretty vocal on Twitter about Bitcoin and his support for it, and also for some other Cryptocurrencies like Dodge Coin. Let's bring in Mike McGlone, who can tell us a lot more about this phenomenon and how it might long it might last. McGann is commodity strategist for Bloomberg Intelligence. So is this 13% runoff purely based on the lawn mosque? Support for Bitcoin? Hello, Bonnie. I think it's definitely big part of it. It seems like this news with Tessler Poppy. Flip the Bitcoin over that inflection point in getting above that 40,000 resistance and probably moves it up to next key level about 50,000 state. 50,000 significant because it be a market cap around $1 trillion Now, right now, Bitcoin and Tesla have right about the same market cap just above $800 billion. Unique thing is Teslik, an issue shares and bonds. And with that money, buy Bitcoin and the supplies fixed, and that's part the unique thing about Bitcoin. It's becoming an adopted reserve asset and it might fail. But I think most entities on the planet realizing I better have some of it just in case it does succeed as a Global reserve asset. Hey, Mike. I know you've been tracking Bitcoin, you know, really since its inception here and been writing some really insightful research on it. What is your sense of Institutional investor Adoption. Is this part of the average institutional Viesturs portfolio in terms of asset allocation. Hey, Paul, it's getting there and I think the average institutional investor realizes if they don't have part of this The fear of missing out and actually not being part of this new reserve acid is greater than it going to zero. So look, let's look at the good example test was the biggest name before it was MicroStrategy and I like to use the simple example. My son and I did over Super Bowl. Bet he I want $200 from him. Ice. Okay, Will you put it in Bitcoin? So when we get to Super Bowl 80, where do you think that will be? I suspect that they're gonna add a lot of zeros to that 100. But if it goes to you know if it fails, who cares? But to me, this is what's happening on a global scale and I don't write this stage. I don't know what's gonna take to stop it. Accept higher prices. So what happens if these red iter crowds? I mean, we're seeing it now, obviously long Oscars also, you know, having a huge influence over them. Do they just follow the crowd when it comes to who the next great hero is? I mean, Psdh presence. Where is also on there is, you know it's a As a potential target for these guys, and they love you know they're not looking at people's histories really at all. It seems well for the traders, something like a speculative digital asset like we started off a Dutch coin makes sense, but that's clearly that it could easily go to zero. And I don't think it has much really intrinsic value like Bitcoin does. S O. I look at big point is the kind of acid it's it's a It's a collectible and proving people should accumulate it because there's a potential future. There will be a major difference between people on it. And people don't It could happen. So why take the risk in the key area That's really starting to show from is from gold. The old time. Gold old alligators who held it for centuries are now realizing that they have to have some of that money in Bitcoin because If they don't. They might miss that in this reserve asset, which is replacing the old rock. And what's next potential on that on that generation is central banks. So I'm wondering what the again Mike, just you're my Hall on Bitcoin Disrespect. My personal understanding is relatively fixed supply of this commodity and presumably ever increasing demand from different uses within society. Therefore, that supply demand is the bullish call there. What's the What's the risk to that simplistic Investment outlook for for Bitcoin high, But I think that I think there's two key rece one. First of all, what happened last year Risk a major risk off event like we had in Q one. Last year, Bitcoin dropped, 50% came back to me. That's a big picture thing that will actually help Bitcoin. To me the most significant risk. I see. It's some kind of something. I can't predict some kind of glitch in the technology, some kind of major hack that I don't know how to predict predict, and some people like Michael Sailor who are major technology, PR experts say. Well, this is Unlikely, partly because it's the most. It's the largest decentralized network in history of mankind, and it spent through so many tests. You know, if it doesn't kill you makes you stronger and that's key narrative. A big point. It hasn't killed it. It's been two major hacks major issues and keeps getting stronger. So That to me is what's happening. And it ZMA Ein. There's nodes on a global scale that are completely independent. It's no one else's project or life value, Billy, which is a very unique thing in the world. Going digital. Yeah, absolutely. What are the other crypto coins that might make it well theory missing Number two, and it has a lot of Good behind it. I mean, it's just it's essential coin for decentralized exchanges, decentralized finance, and it's a major platform from mount many other smart contracts and things that you can do in the space where you can't And in many other areas, So the thing I look about a theory, miss. It's not gonna be a global reserve acid. It's more reflective to me. Of some of these texts are fin tech stocks and the stock market. And when I get the questions, I get a lot of it and you see it today. You don't hear about major corporations allocating towards it's there any more major economics departments asking me about a terribly ill ask me about Bitcoin. So, But since I'm looking at the chart of a theory, it's a great chart is well, um, you know it that supply demand dynamic that's arguably underpinning the move up in Bitcoin. I'm just unsure why there couldn't be more supply. Why there couldn't be a a perfect replacement for Bitcoin in the marketplace. There's 8001 of these, Paul. That's the key thing about it. And a year ago, there was maybe 3000 so ease of entry. There's anybody can launch a coin. That's a problem for the white space. "Right now. But I could be wrong. Well, again, the CEO of Toyota, a Toyota to begin with, uh, really came down electric cars and thought it was crazy. But you said they still see hydrogen future they do. And when I wrote my outside review for GM in 2005, I said, Everybody's talking about hydrogen future around the corner. You ought to pull back on what you're doing and expense it out. Smarter because I'm guessing 2050 is the time. When science will catch up the law thermodynamics to make hydrogen fuel smart, right? And then you said Toyota had a figure in their mind of 2050 2015. Yeah. So I think that matches what she said. Yeah, but guess what I was basing mine on. What's that? Well, we have some dealers Dallas Fort Worth their friends mind that used to sit on the Honda Board and Toyota Board Dane and they both went to meetings in Japan in the late nineties. Americans. You know we get we're trying to figure out why why The stock in game stop went up so high this week and the Japanese were talking to their dealers. And saying Here are our plans through 2050. Uh, Yeah, We don't think that way. We don't think multigenerational outcomes when the Japanese do you know when they moved here, uh to Texas. They said this was going to set us apart for the next 100 years. Now who thinks that way? Obviously no. One that words about property tax on buildings in our state because I'm telling you, they said, 100 years, but in 20 years, they're probably gonna be sitting there gone. You know our buildings in California. We're covered under prop 13, right? Yeah. You know, the property taxes alone may run him out of town again, but that being said The ones that went there in 98 99 both came back and told me they believe that a hydrogen futures a half century out And if the Japanese have thought it through that far, I thought the same thing. But It changes the dynamic for all of us. Yes, it wasn't a government mandate that said, You can't build gas powered or diesel powered cars and we don't know that there were won't end up with hybrids from GM. Okay, that will have a gas on door diesel component. But they're saying we're actually gonna go carbon free by 2020 40. Well. If you're 12 years old 20 forties long way away at our age. It's like day after tomorrow will be day after tomorrow. That's exactly right. But it changes the dynamic. What if Toyota Goes with their plug in plan and hydrogen for 2050. Where does that place Toyota GM goes all electric? And it damages volume. Yeah, that's very interesting question. Um The All electric just like I said earlier, is very appealing assed far as the thought of it. Execution of it. I've got a dear friend of mine owns a Tesla and I'm not knocking Tesler, but they've got family in Houston. And she wants to drive her husband's Landcruiser down to Houston because she has to stop and recharge and it Won't make it there. Well, if she paid extra five grand, unlocked more of batteries, she could make it There you go because the recharging station is in the woodlands as I recall the first one, but that being said the point's made Again. I'm on my second one driving around town. Now I can go over the Metroplex. I love it for that stuff. But If I'm going to make a trip, which I haven't managed to do for whatever reason, right now, gasoline powered car makes no sense for that. Still, the way to go and I don't know that's gonna change much. Except Kessel said. The new model s. We're gonna have one with a 500 plus range on it. I'm I'll be anxious to see that well, when I got in the car business Dane the 1974 Oldsmobile Toronado was raided by the DEA at 5.9 Miles to the gallon in town. It wouldn't get that. No, it wouldn't with that 4 55 engine fact the front bias ply tires on that front wheel drive car lasted somewhere around 6000. Miles burned a write off. Um, just that weight on that front wheel drive system of that big engine. But the point was, and what looked up the gas tank of it realistically got about four miles to the gallon in town once the engine was warmed up. Up Until then. It was pretty bad, but 155 miles arranges all that car had Well, that was it. The difference was there was gas story as professionals, which, by the way you needed one that often. Mm, what time does position again? You? At least once you've had a world class hybrid and a Honda Accord. Which to me was just phenomenal. You've had a plug in hybrid, haven't you? We have a clarity, huh? That's ah, Full electric. Er, it's a hybrid. They have a full electric, but they don't They don't sell here in Texas. That's correct. We have a charging station at the dealership for it. Yeah, but you don't have one. No, we've sold all that we've had. We haven't gotten any for 2021 yet on the clarity, but his honor, given any indication that we're going to make more of a shift over I mean, we got rid of the V six in the accord. Yes. That's a step in that direction because they never needed it begin with. No, they didn't know Honda was always known for their four cylinder engines. Yeah, and the four cylinder now the 2.0 the It's like the horsepower and the torque. Swamp from what the B six wasps so it's got plenty of power. Again. 1975 50 v eight engine Oldsmobile most popular engine in America. 165 horsepower. What four cylinder do you have? The doesn't do that. That's right. It's true. I just correct but again, as Honda said, we're going to do even more of a shift in that direction. Um not. Nothing I.

"Heard radio at our best bets of the night coming up in 5 45 Way started off the show talking about The stock market and what was going on with both a M. CNE and Gamestop. There was a lot of craziness and then to go along with the craziness. How many times that it stopped Trading today. 12 12 times today game stop. Was halted in trading. Before your many Conal back tomorrow. Mandy Colonel's been out all week. But our good friend Lou from Littleton was filling in today and he had on Ian share who was from PSI Net. And talked a little bit. How all this came about And why things were completely until with both games Stop and AMC. So Gamestop is a video game retailer. If you haven't seen them before, they are usually malls or, you know, in strip malls and whatnot, and they typically are a place where you buy game disks. Or game cartridges or whatever else well as we have all moved to the Internet, and we've started buying games online a lot. Their businesses suffered immensely, and the company is especially during the pandemic has been largely considered not long for this world. Woodstock was very, very low. Well, a bunch of what are called short shows short sellers, which are basically Wall Street people. Investors who bet against the company's future so they bet the stock will go down. They started really laying into Gamestop. They started betting really heavily, like more than anyone else has, in fact, being stuck with the most shorted stock on the market, which means that that a vast majority of people who were in the smart money as you call it. We're betting against game stuff. Well, a bunch of people on reddit, which is a social network, uh, figured out that if they were able to push the price of Gamestop up just enough They would force a Wall Street to re calibrate all of its best. And that's effectively what they did over the period of about a year year and a half. And as a result, we're now at this point where these Wall Street firms that we're betting heavily against Gamestop have lost billions of dollars. And these people who were betting on you know, basically being able to make King sick. Make the Wall Street people lose money. Are gaining millions of dollars, so it's been very interesting to watch. So you have the retail guys which would be like you, me, Coover. We'd be the retail guys, the retail guys. Got rich in this situation. And the big corporate guys. They took it in the shorts because of What basically happens with a short sale, right? Essentially the way that short selling works is kind of the opposite of normal stock buying right, so normal stock you invest in Ian Corp right? Then you believe that Ian does great work and that the stock will go up and then eventually leave her be able to sell it or get some profits from it or whatever. Well, when you're short filling your you're betting the other way, and the way you make money is that in fact, as the price goes down, you're able to sell the shares for a you're able to basically pocket as much money as the difference. Between when you started your short sale and what the price becomes, so you could make quite a bit of money as the company goes down. The thing is that you can also lose infinite money. The stock goes up because you also have to make up the difference if the stock goes the other way. And these short sellers essentially have been forced to recalibrate and reset a lot of their bets or cover the bets entirely and have to pay the difference. And as I mentioned, this is just to the tune of billions of dollars, so it's been really fascinating to watch and a good kind of education in how dangerous Parts of the Wall Street can be even for the really smart, really rich people. I think I need to pay more attention to what's going down on Reddit. Well, you know, it made me start following a few extra people online. I'm not going to kid. You know, my son, you know, Call me this morning and he made a couple trades. Um On on game stop. It's almost like it, Z. It's almost like it's a pushback against institutional investors. Because, you know, you know, and Elon Musk even chimed in on this. Um, and after he chimed in on it, the stock rose 40%. So this and he, by the way was saying, Remember, he was saying Go get Shorty, right, which it was his reference to the guys out there that are shorting the stock institutional investors. Remember now what Tesler There was a lot of short money against Tesler. I mean, there was a ton of short money against Tesla because people thought that electric cars won't work and you won't have the volume. You won't have the the buyers. And Wall Street shorted Tesler, um, loses two years ago, and Elon Musk has really been One of those guys has been, uh, you know, he's been Out spoken About how they were wrong about his vehicles and his company. So you haven't You have this guy who has been elevated to the richest man in the world and Elon musk saying that these other people, you know, do all his text messages and through his tweets. You know, Go get them because you know they have been taken advantage basically of Americans for four years. When the stock is going down, they never they never hold it. They never halted for the public for for the For the retail guys ever losing their shirts? Tell investors take it in the shorts all the time. In March, when the stock market was getting pummeled. They didn't they didn't halt trading 12 times. They had to reset this. And then what happened was the institutional investors had a chance to go out and sell their shop and sell your stocks or their positions. They have a chance to sell their positions.

"Something that the average person is not talking about. But then again, your marriage could be on fire along with your car in your house. And with everything that's going on in the world, you might not even Have time to talk about your house in your car on fire. So, uh, people have been watching it. We've been watching it. It's actually what tickets worry, talked about what, like three years ago two years ago. Remember that and he was on, he said. It's gonna go up to 50 grand. It's gonna move quickly. And I said, I believe you. But the timing you should probably not say real fast because I'm always wrong with timing. Well, it turns out that he's right. And there's a reason why Bitcoin didn't go up and we wanted to bring Tika on with us. Welcome to the program. Chico, How are you? I'm doing great planets. It's great to be back. Thanks for having me so I wanted to talk to you about now that it has broken. Can you explain the the Bubble that the Trump Administration popped if you will, in 2017, Yeah. Let me first say that you didn't warn me when you're on the air. You said I said Bitcoin will be $40,000 You sure you want to say that? Are you really sure you want to say that? And you know something I've prided myself on Glenn is that if I believe something, I'm not gonna hire, you know, don't say it and everything told me that it was gonna go there and when it didn't go there I was shocked. I said, you know, I had to look in the mirror and say, Did I just get this wrong and fortunately, I I stayed the path and here we are, You know, 33,000 have been a 40 about 40. So it came to light that G and Carlo, who was the former head of the CFTC came out. Christopher can Kahlo who came out and said One of the untold stories of the past few years? Is that the CFTC the Treasury, the SEC of National Economic Council director of the time Gary Cohen. Leave that will launch a bit quaint. Futures would have the impact off popping the Bitcoin bubble, and it worked. You had some of the most important levers of government policy of work, trying to push them Bitcoin, and that's why we didn't go to Fordham Cage finally dawned on me like Okay, So this is what I was not to get. Well, I know this to be true with gold in the 19 eighties, they suppressed gold with tips and everything else they found ways. To suppress the price of gold because gold was an indicator of how solid is our economy in the dollar, and so they have suppressed it. Gold should be a probably 3 to $5000 announced if you had the restrictions on it. The fewer restrictions on it that we had in the 19 eighties. The concern here is I mean, it was up to what 42 last week. Where you two? Yeah, it's down to 33. By the way, I took your advice. I bought more, and I'm thrilled that I did. But the the scary thing is again they're starting to. It's coming down. I don't know why. Do you know why it's coming down? Yeah. I mean, Bitcoins got up 380% of them The last year it needed to take a breather. I mean, if you look at stocks like Amazon Apple Google when they were in their early growth faces, they would go through processes like this, even Tesler, where it would be hated, And then they knock it down and get this exchange from We can't the strong hand. And then it would move up again. I'm actually very happy. Glad to see that coin. Take a breather here because Parabolic straight moves up don't have crash And so so they crash. So this is great. I would love to see even Bitcoin coming a little bit more trade side wins for a few months. Had people tell me I'm an idiot for buying it would love to see that, you know, right now I'm the most popular guy at the party. I never like that. S Oh, I would love to see more skepticism growth around. I agree. I would. I would like to see it a 25 quite honestly because I think that's really healthy and then take another spurt towards it. Um is this is being called digital gold. Now that a new generation looks at this is digital gold. This is not what we saw the first time that it is 20,000. When everybody was like I'm mortgaging my house and buying Bitcoin. This is not happening at the low level investor. By the way, you can still buy Bitcoin even if you have $100. You just don't buy one you by a fraction of one on bend. That's not what's happening here. This is actually a big investors, right? We'll see the institutionalization of Quentin issue. Remember in 2018? I was on your show on. I begged everyone I said don't believe these institutions. Remember Jamie Diamond called Bitcoin upon to scheme taking fire Anybody that was trading it. Guess what? They just put out research, saying the Bitcoins with $146,000 on I called that in 2018. I said Once these guys have the regulatory framework in place, they're going to come out and they are gonna put their marketing machine behind Bitcoin, Citigroup. Which three years ago said the Bitcoin was worthless. Just came out and said that the queen is going to go to 300 takes seasoned crew claimed Citigroup, So everything we talked about in 2018 is starting to happen. I wish it happened faster. Of course, we always wish these things happen faster. But I would say anybody listening today is Don't focus on the day today, focus on the trajectory of this asset and focus on the people that are buying it now and the people that are buying it now, people like Mass Mutual Has $230 billion under management. 169 year old insurance company companies like Michael Say, Look, has put a billion dollars into this through his public entity, the major banks that have now been given clearance to both custody trade and create products around crypto, which they could never do before. So now that they figured out a way to make money from it, Glenn that's what I'm gonna write reports about it. They're going to get their clients into it, and you will see Again. I'm not gonna paint myself for the corner like I did last time. But I think we will see $60,000 Bitcoin fall fast with the most people imagine And at some point here, I'm not saying it's gonna happen this year, but we'll see $100,000 Bitcoin at the end of the day. There is no other asset that can head shoe the way that Bitcoin 10. Sure gold can to certain stank. The court's already attention, Illion dollar market, Right? You're not going to see gold Go up 10 or 12. Specialty or even eight next anytime soon as you said gold to political metal, it's really depressed by government over government policies. Bitcoin still has a great deal of freedom because it is decentralized. It's much newer. It's much smaller, and we've seen that. No matter how many shots you take a Bitcoin, it keeps coming back. The other thing, I would say is if people keep calling Bitcoin of bubble, how many doubles going to you know that are 10 years old? What's the half a trillion dollars or more and keep making new highs? At what point do we say? Okay, this is in a bubble. This is this is a new asset. So goes through booms and busts, But it's not. It's not a bubble asset. I do believe this is the cotton gin, the Internet. This is going to change the financial world and it is one of those things that you the average person could invest in right now, And at this.

We also heard he discussed with Joe Biden whether there was a prospect of the Senate, both Holding an impeachment trial and looking at and confirming his nominees as he takes office. We haven't heard back as to whether that, in fact would be possible, but I believe that Mitch McConnell sees this as a way to has, he said. Purge the president from the party on disses Somebody who even before all that happened on Wednesday, said he didn't go along with his colleagues on the Republican side. We're trying to be certified the election if you will. Now we actually do have a quote from the president, speaking at the border earlier today, let's take a listen to part of what he had to say. Before we begin. I'd like to say that free speech is under assault, like never before. The 25th amendment is a zero risk to me. It will come back to haunt Joe Biden and the Biden administration. As the expression goes, be careful. What you wish for. Jeannie. What's your reaction to that? Well, of course, the president is reported to be furious that he was kicked off of the social media platforms and, you know, he's made that clear in his first remarks since Wednesday. As you and I were talking about saying that his priests that free speech is under assault. He, of course, has called a long time for the revocation of section 2 30. Of course, we may see some of that as we get into the new Congress coming from the Democratic side. It was very odd to hear him talk about the fact that he is not, you know, going to be subject to the 25th amendment. We also heard reports that he may have spoken with Mike Pence for the first time last night. Those seem to be unconfirmed. Maybe he understands that Mike Pence is not going to invoke that, as the Democrats would like him to, and a veiled threat to the bite an administration that Joe Biden could be subject to that you mentioned I'm not sure how, but it seemed to be a veiled threat, which leads us in a position where Democrats will vote on this resolution for the 25th amendment. It is, you know, not going to happen as far as we know. And then they will move tomorrow and probably tomorrow evening on a vote on this one article of impeachment, which is we were just discussing apparently has this, you know, at least some support from Mitch McConnell and potentially, we're also hearing. Maybe we will see some support from the Republican side, maybe as much of a handful of Republicans in the house or more. Who may support it. Does this reporting from the New York Times that Mitch McConnell supports the Democrats moving forward with impeachment? Does that change anything? You know? What do you expect? The last few days leading up to January, 20th will actually look like I think we will get a vote out of the house and I think again, we'll have some of few. At least a handful of Republicans go along with the impeachment vote. It will move to the Senate. We still don't have a Sinus toe when they will take it up. At this point. It looks to be after January, 20th. And we still don't know if they will be enough Republicans in the Senate to support a conviction. Of course, he will have left office by then. But there's discussion as to whether you can hold it. Trial after somebody leaves office. Some people think you can. And so we may see that but I am not convinced. We'll see enough Republicans go along with that in the trials, so, but we will probably see that trial go forward..

"What does he have his eye on this year? Way will ask him. All those stories in a moment, but first U. S stocks rising today amid those key elections happening right now in Georgia, about to draw to a close. Bloomberg's at Ludlow has a look at how that shaped the day in trading, even though volume was thin and walk us through the day. This family the S and P 500 closing up 7/10 of 1%, rebounding from its worst start to a year since 2016 on Monday some of the gains driven by energy stocks We've seen oil rising on Tuesday, but also technology stocks. The NASDAQ 100 Index up by 8/10 of 1%, the biggest driver in terms of points being apple up, 1.25. You said you can see. They're also rebounding because Apple in points terms, was one of the biggest laggards biggest points decliners on Monday. I'm also taking a look at Bitcoin up. You can see there by 4/10 of 1%. But at one point near $34,000 J. P. Morgan analyst out with a note today, saying that Bitcoin could rise as much. Is to us much as $146,000 in the long term as it mimics gold is investors look a Bitcoin as an asset class in comparison to gold rules hasn't DEAL NEWS Bloomberg News reporting the evey startup review and raising billions of dollars, sources say at a potential value of around 25 billion, of course, review in a major Potential rival to Tesler Ribbon says it will bring its electric pickup to market by June of this year to US customers. We know that Tesler hopes to have its cyber truck pick up on U. S roads by the end of this year. It's backed by big names like Black Rock by T. Rowe Price, Amazon and Ford and then we also got some breaking news, Emily after the market closed on Tuesday, the New York Stock Exchange Is reconsidering its decision to hold the delisting of free major Chinese telecoms companies. You remember that they U turned on that decision after consulting with regulatory bodies, but according to sources after the market closed a there now reconsidering to go back to their original decision, which is to go ahead and delis, those three major trade Chinese telecom companies, according to sources. Right, And, of course that was on the back of an executive order by President Trump, Treasury Secretary Steven Manoogian told Thea NY SC Today. He disagreed with their reversal earlier, so we'll stay tuned for what happens there. I want to talk about chips. So Ed because lots of big moves Qualcomm and in the day up more than 2.5% announcing that Christianity I'm on the president will be taking over for Steve Mullen cough. As he retires as CEO, which was a fairly unexpected move. Mollenkopf still still fairly young. What kind of reaction did we see in the market? I think Wall Street expects business is normal to continue given that Cristian Amon is a long time servant. Long time engineer. Qualcomm, said Moloch comp his self saying that he knew his decision to retire would be seen as early in any event given his age and that this company is in a good place, But he said it's because it's in a good place. He feels ready to move on elsewhere. We got news from Micron, they price it's raised by city from a cell tower by up two notches, lots of confidence that D ram sales will rebound and that Micron will be a big beneficiary of that. We also saw its price target raised by both Deutsche Bank and RBC Capital markets. So on the whole, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index the socks Is continuing on in 2021 very much as it left off last year, which is to outperform major indices including yes and P 500. All right at Ludlow. Thanks So much for that update, where to talk a little bit more about the chip sector and what's happening with Qualcomm later in the show. Meantime, polls closing in Georgia in just under two hours. 7 P.m. Eastern time election observers reporting Voting is going smoothly in today's Senate run offs. We already know there have been a record number of early voters and like the general election, it'll take a while to learn the results. Joining us now to talk about how the day has gone. Bloomberg's Emily Wilkins, who is on the ground for US in Atlanta, so Emily look from from all accounts, it seems like it's been a smooth day despite the tunnels and controversy. Leading up to this election. What is the latest from your point of view? So familiar? Right? It has been a smooth day. But that doesn't mean that we're going to know who the winner is. Tonight. There are a ton of absentee belts to be counted. And they counting cannot begin until polls close at 7 P.m.. So we're hearing that we could get the results of earliest. Tomorrow morning. It might take a couple days Remember, took 10 days for us to find out the votes in the general election. We don't expect that to take that to take quite that long. But we're not expecting to know tonight which two senators will be going on to the U. S. Senate. Meantime, what about the backdrop? Trump versus Biden? A judge has once again rejected the president's bid to de certify the election results. How is that playing into what's happening today? You know, News like this kind of feels like ground Hog day. The Trump campaign has bought lawsuit after lawsuit case after case to the courts and the courts, Democrat and Republican judges is judges have dismissed them have debunked them. And yet, that really hasn't changed The fact that President Trump is still alleging that there was fraud in the November 3rd election. He's still pushing conspiracy theories, as we heard last night and talking to George and Republicans on the ground. Ah, lot of them do believe that there was fraud. They do agree with the president on this. So the fact that the lawsuit got dismissed today the phone call that the president had with George's secretary of state. It's really unclear at this point exactly how much it's going to factor into the election. So talk to us about the process for the rest of the night. You know, As we've talked about the president, presidential election, the counting took days. Have they reformed the process? Is there any way to make it go a little faster, knowing that once again Ah, huge chunk of those votes have already come in early but again. It won't start counting them until polls are closed. Right. So we're thinking that most of the more than three million votes that arrives early we're probably from Democrats. And so it's sort of this weird thing. Where is we're looking for the turnout today? If the turnout is low, that actually bodes well for Democrats because it means that a lot of people voted early. If the ton of people voted today that actually bodes better for Republicans. I'm here at the event for Republicans in Georgia for Kelly Left learned David for do although we're not expecting Mr Producer come tonight. Is that in quarantine since he came into contact with someone who tested positive for covert, the Democrats aren't really holding a big event tonight. I think that speaks both to the caution that they've had about the throne of Iris and the fact that we're probably just not going to know tonight. Definitively who the winner is. And what is the latest? You're hearing from the biting campaign about their level of confidence tonight? No biting gave a big rally yesterday. I think it had several 100 cars showed up lots of honking lots of enthusiasm there. Democrats have been pushing hard in this election, just like Republicans and vitamins message was that this is about control of the Senate, and he tried to relate that specifically to Georgians who brought up those $2000 individual stimulus checks. It weren't able to pass through Congress. He said that if Georgians wanted to see those checks, they needed to make sure that they elected Democrats to the.

Tesla is about to become the top S&P 500 stock

"Futures and options we're talking about the could drew people witching, where contracts on individual stocks and equity indexes expire. You've already seen an early burst of trading. You look at stocks listed either. On the New York Stock Exchange of the NASDAQ first half hour, according to our data, almost two billion shares changing hands. That's up more than 20% from last Friday and more than 25% from last September 3 months ago, the previous quadruple witching day, So you know you have that inflating trading. It's gonna happen again at the clothes, and then you have to figure in Tesla going into the S and P 500 before Monday's opening Bell. That means funds tracking the S and P. 500 will need to own shares. And based on calculations that we've seen $70 billion of stock is going to be changing hands Mean Bear in mind. Tesla's at a market value of $622 billion as we speak, and you know, roughly 80% of that will be counted in the index. The rest you shares owned by CEO Elon Musk and other insiders that Doesn't go into the index calculations, but it gives you some idea of just how big this change is going to be and how much trading is going to result from it by the end of the day. Does it mean that there'll be a broader effect on the indices? In General David will be just primarily Tesler related? Well, I mean, there may be a broader effect in the sense that it's going to be a somewhat different index Tesler, based on some of the analyst calculations, I've seen one half percent of the S and P 500 roughly once it's included. It means that the auto industry's gonna can a lot Maura. And as a result of that, you know the consumer discretionary category, which has been dominated by amazon dot com. You know it's going to get a number two in Tesla's, so it's going to be different for sure. And just looking. What's going on today since I'm mentioning the industry group in the S and P five under one of the 11 Anyway, they're all down at the moment. I mean, Utilities, makers of consumer stable, sweet beverage tobacco, holding up relatively well averaging real estate with the biggest declines all 11 lower, but in terms of individual sacks, just two down roughly for everyone that's up in the S and P 500. So you know kind of a broad decline, but not so much. It'll kick in the teeth
