I God bless the People in Louisiana. They May. Not Now big going to be good down there. I got a question for you and this is theory with everything's going on. And all the you know the water. Quality of football will be. How much less willoughby this year that normally is the quality of playing. Yeah, it's a great question because I think that last couple years you've seen the SEC really especially offensively. Change right and they become a chameleon to where there are a lot more fast paced almost like the big twelve last year between Alabama, and of course, the numbers at Lsu have put up I think not having spring ball this year Ed makes it a little bit more defensive minded right I. Think for the first couple of weeks you are going to see the George's of the world even Lsu now with a little bit more aggressive defense with Pollini and Jerry Cox. Big. Transfer that they have from North Dakota state I think defense will rule the Games early but by week admitted the season hopefully by mid October we're still seeing a bunch of points because I think there's some potent offenses especially, some offense of mines. So so you think it'd be the same I mean. Not Maybe not the say but still no high level. But it's it's it's SEC football baby. It's always high level it doesn't matter who. Would you watch? It just looks different tastes different feels different. Different I mean listen we have eighteen thousand fans here in L. D. Stadium I guarantee it's going to be louder than a lot of other stadiums across the country on a normal year I mean, that's what. Do. So you don't worry man look we'll take. A stand that but it just to be I guess that's the right where it's going to be different. It is and I think that's an thank you for the phone call and I'm glad you brought it up to is going to look different right the more and more. We see the news has hanging out in the happening right now everything is going to be different. There is no playbook for this right? We're all trying to capture all trying to. "In for Paul Finebaum. Don't worry we'll be back soon little technical difficulties. So you're rolling with me until seven o'clock Commissioner of the SEC. Greg. Sank he's going to be joining me here in about twenty minutes on this fine program along with your. Calls Got Zach Ed Pad Bill Max Bama Nick I see on hold we're going to get your phone calls in just a little bit right now but joining eight right now from the daily Mississippi and heavily Hinson managing editor over there and in had Liam so good So glad to have you on because we're all trying to figure this out. We just had brooks on from Baton Rouge. That was talking about the news of several. L. Lsu offensive lime in not being able to play because they tested positive. What's IT LIKE DOWN IN OXFORD? Right now I mean what? What are they deal with like on campus Thank you for having me We are having student cases, pop up every single day and our first outbreak. This fall was actually among student athletes, but the university didn't release what team they were from. And highly when we look at this as well as you're talking about its athletes and there's been, you know Greek members that means either fraternities and Sororities as well too. I mean overall. We say what are those numbers tangibly look like? So. Right now, the university reports the total of one hundred or active suitcases and the first athlete outbreak was around fifteen students. And on the first day of class alone we have fifty six new student cases. So those are the numbers we're looking at right now, not necessarily up there with where Alabama is or where you and she was. I see from your twitter feed at Hadley, Hinton's in the Mississippi report, University of Mississippi fifty nine new positive cases. Now, when you say they're active as well to what does that do as far as living arrangements I I know that some over in the ACC NC state and they've kind of question. Hey, what are we going to do with kids returning back on campus have there been any discussions about that their ole miss. Yes. So the university has. Quarantine Housing and isolation housing for either people who test positive or people who have come into others who tested positive and the university has not release specific numbers as to who is being housed wear but that is an option they've provided. But a lot of dorms and sorority fraternity houses are allowing students to leave and go home if they do test positive need to be quarantined or isolated. Hadley you. You cover this story closely in so glad that you're not a football in person so I can ask you this. What's the feeling amongst campus is we've seen the these pictures of kids not wearing masks and not social distancing is it hey, it's no big deal. We're still going to have football way or is there a little bit of fear setting in as he's numbers creep up? The season could be on the brink in fall may on the brink for these kids? Right people are divided people don't know if they should be going out if they shouldn't be, and if they follow on one side or other of the opinion, it's still not expecting a football season like we've usually had because governor tate reeves prohibited tailgating. So the Grove isn't happening in prohibited Game Day activities. So the walk of champions isn't happening. So I think people in Oxford are really Almost. Feeling like or some people at least they're feeling like they have nothing to lose because those usual activities won't be happening anyways it's interesting. You can follow her on twitter at Hadley Hinson highlight. Great insight. Thank you so much for spending a couple of minutes and tell us what's going on boots on the ground there in Oxford. Thank you so much for having me there. It is highly Hinson, the daily Mississippi in joining us. It is intriguing right now because I do think that. The college football. Players once they saw how hard they were working in this in the in the spring, and in the summer, they wanted to be back and I think what happened is you've had a lot of football players across the country but specifically here in the SEC when they saw that the big ten and PAC twelve decided to cancel and they were like Oh, this is real this could happen the amount of I would just say the amount of pressure that was. Put on them to make sure everyone did the right thing is huge. But as we see as you have a bunch of students on campus, you're going to see some more cases. It's a matter of how you're going to be able to navigate this. At this point, there has been no changes we'll talk to commissioner Greg. Thank you about that here in about twenty minutes. Let's get back to some of your phone calls Bam nick. Thanks for joining Peterborough what's happening? I run Beta words in Rohan. Roman is is great y'all some y'all have rub some air back to the Paul Finebaum show today I'm fired. y'All got to go on. Nick we're having some we're trying we're trying to have a little fun this thing because again we're getting closer 'cause we're month away. The reason why we're here in Studio Obama Nick is because we are one month away from football being played and yet it still feels like it's on a razor thin margin at this point. I don't think. So enrollment or gray gotTa Make Ball Nancy Say ACC in the big quayle there's GonNa be some football. Is Guaranteed Beta Burns and you know wh what I'm great to see you know what I'm I i. love saying you enrollment et where old Mac. May. The whole lot. I mean, you know I love that I don't wear players mad. I'm sixty five years. I run claiming Ben Carson, commercial and residential I mean. Marcos was complained when I come in the house. Plane but nick, I will say this the only reason why I don't have it on right now is because I did put it all in. It's right here by by by the desk and I will tell you this and there's been so much about the face mask thing and that here's where I stand on them Nick and you can completely disagree many of you also always do when I host the Finebaum show if I. "We'll go back y'all in the ball fine show Peter Burns, and for Mr Paul bomb had a little technical difficulties earlier today. So you rolling with me for the remainder of the show my goodness what a what a week it's already been. And? It's only. Wednesday brooks could be another right now is going to be joining us from the advocate one of the best in the business, and in Brooks, let's start with the big news that was coming out of baton. Rouge that you broke earlier today it's it appears that there was a an outbreak among Lsu football players. What's the latest? You can tell me about that Yeah, myself and a colleague Coworker Wilson Alexander we reported that all but four Lsu often of Wyman are in quarantine or either tested positive for code nineteen this this This is important in certain way in ways because you know. If this happens in the middle of season this is a case that shows. Well, and then it all you need five offense alignment to feel this shows that a personnel group could not function properly It's one of those things that everybody whenever you looked at. Cases whenever the NCAA and the SEC adopted health protocols and said, you know this is where you know you'll have to isolate for ten days at least if you. Test positive or quarantine. If you had high risk contact with fourteen days, those are things that can be detrimental to a football team in the middle of season So. You know it's it's that's the latest there and all but four offensive Lineman are are are affected by this. So it's IT'S A it's a position group that's been affected heavily by this and. At this time like you, you can think of other other similar issues like at Oklahoma that had a physician group Lincoln, Riley settled the hope we don't know what position group that is. But. It's. It's also one of those situations where many schools have not publicly announced their corona virus cases and You know there's can't. College kids are coming back on campus and you're starting to see clusters emerge at different campuses like North Carolina, and Notre Dame and This is this is an issue that is he's not alone. Brooks what is the latest as far as when you talk about the the protocols ten days? Is this a situation where lsu updated? Resuming practice or have they actually pause practice here in Baton Rouge. not that I know of there's that practice has not been paused Their protocol foreign players. Test. Positive. they quarantined for ten they selfies late for ten days If you were at high risk contact, you have two corn team for fourteen days and you can't test out of those few tests. And negatively after that, you can't you can't come out of that time. So from from what I've heard practice has not been postponed. Burst into the staff writer, the advocate doing a great job following that story and breaking that news. Overall as well to get everybody up to speed on where Lsu as as regarding their practices have there been scrimmages already or is the first one coming up where where they add in the in the escalation of actually having the season. They just started preseason practice last last Monday two Mondays ago and their spacing things out it's a it's a weird situation at talked about this. When he first talked me preseason camp began their off on the weekends and that's weird. He's like never in my entire college career has that ever happened they practice on Monday and Tuesday. And Wednesday, and then Thursday they have more of a film study and then Friday morning they practice again and that's that's that's it in the name then they go home for the weekend that's their schedule to fit all of their practices within you know twenty hours per week, and they leave that all the way up to September twenty six. So they have to space things out and It's it's an interesting situation. Everybody's going through that and the FCC and how to deal with that and and ozone is is is interestingly prepared for this I wrote a story about this last year. It's kind of how we kept players fresh throughout the entire season I mean fifteen games along. Stress from August until January and he lied heavily on his experience as a assistant coach with the New Orleans Saints. They have players obviously in the NFL so they weren't just. You know bashing players and You know going head to head all the time and full speed for hours. They had their more regimented efficient practice and that's what he started last year and he's doing the same here and it's it's it's it's helpful whenever you have to go for a long period of time. so He's allocated You know the the hours properly across the time and it's been very careful about how how he.

"Meeting virtually today president's tomorrow. What will they endorse? There has been speculation about a conference only scheduled the commissioner. The SEC just issued a statement in response to a story by Ross Dellinger in sports illustrated essentially saying we don't comment on anonymous speculation and we'll have more to say at the appropriate time but the ACC has made a lot of news today and eleven games schedule Ten conference one non conference over thirteen weeks the first game somewhere. After the first weekend of the season, and there will be one division of the big story out of this as Notre Dame. Andrea. Adelson covers the. ACC College football for ESPN, and we are delighted to welcome Andrea to the program. Andrew thanks. We knew this day was coming. We didn't think Notre Dame was going to be left at home. But your reaction to everything we have we have found out here in the last hour. Notre Dame being discussed as an ACC member for this just one year only it football is something that has been under discussion for the last several months says the ACC coaches, athletic directors, and Obviously League membership and Jacks war break at Notre Dame try to figure out the best scheduling model for US moving forward in order for us to try at least play a season with some uniform scheduling and a little bit of equity while also trying to eliminate long-distance around the ACC, it's impossible to do that. But at least they can try and bringing notre. Dame into the fold and obviously helps the ACC in terms of the number of MARCI Games now in the conference and it helps. Notre Dame because they're able to fill out an entire schedule, they're going to have opponents that are following the exact same protocols because that is in the ACC policy everybody's got to follow the same medical and testing and health and safety protocols and Notre Dame is eligible for the ACC championship game. This year without the divisions, it's going to be the top two teams based on conference win percentage Notre Dame would be eligible for the Orange Bowl. They don't make it into the college football. Playoff. So alive folks inside the League feel like this is a win win even though it's just for this one year this is kind of a a dream scenario of seeing Notre Dame's football in conference. Andrew. I. Don't mean to be a cynic. I and I think all of this is being done for the right reason to eliminate a long travel but two games off the top of my head Auburn and and North Carolina and Virginia and Georgia both in Atlanta made maybe they are off the board now based on the protocol. So how how are we? Solving this problem by by going to the all over the country with with the ACC from from Notre, dame to down, to Florida, to to Syracuse in Boston and we're eliminating Relatively, easy games to get to. A great question Paul I think because in conference, it's very difficult to eliminate long distance travel when the fans Florida all the way up to Syracuse and then over to Notre Dame the intention with the non conference is to try and make that as regional as possible for those teams so that there isn't an airplane ride in the case of Virginia, they'd probably be taking an. Airplane to go play in Atlanta, I think the whole from the ACC is that those SEC rival game still gets take place but for the other schools on the fact that they now have to play that non conference game in their home state is one way will create some of those concerns about having to get on to many airplanes. This season that will be required ACC play. And injure injury the Notre Dame card Explain. If you. If you can Notre Dame has an agreement obviously with the ACC play five or six games they also have an agreement with NBC for their Home Games How do you co mingle the money here? Money's going to be shared at the ACC was straightforward in the release that they put out. Obviously, that was part of the discussion point. A lot of folks in the ACC wanted that to happen if Notre Dame was going to come into the fold. For. This year I know do coach David cut cliff essentially said as much a couple of weeks ago on zoom call I said, we're happy to have him as long as they share the money with us, and so that's going to be evenly distributed this year. So again, I think the folks in the ACC fell like this is an absolute win for them. Because of what it does for the schedule of for Marquis Games. which if there are fans in the sands TV is going to be more important than ever. And Notre Dame has already strengthened the ACC football side of a even though they're not a full-time member in terms of strengthening a bowl partnerships and some other benefits that they've gotten. So Notre Dame Newman to try and play a in eleven or ten game schedule and learning felt like this was going to be the best way for them to be able to do it as well. So it wasn't as if one side was. To the other one side wanted something more than the other. This was an equal partnership during the discussions and I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that Notre. Dame is a member in all other sports. The ACC Jacks Warburg is in all those meetings with the ACC Athletic Directors ACC leadership during spring meetings, fall meetings, every single meeting they had, and so that's why I feel like this is a partnership at least for this year that made sense for everybody or trying and make it work for there to be a football season. Andrew mentioned the the Commissioner the SEC just issued a statement. declining comment on on all the speculation out there that the maybe going are slightly different way I I know you cover the whole world of college, Football. But there's a lot on the line. In relation to the depending on where the lands here because there, there are those four states that have those intracom interstate games that could still be on the board, FSU? Florida Carolina Clemson obviously Georgia Georgia tech in. Louisville. Kentucky. Where do you think this is all going. Now..

"An AC's as an SEC member this year they will also share some of their Money with the ACC. So John offered a final year as a commissioner of the ACC Coming up with the first What are the most interesting proposals getting Notre Dame as a League member? No conference no divisions. So the two teams with the top two winning percentages will play for the for the championship. Let's continue with more phone calls at eight, five, five, four, two, seven, two, eight, five, and doc is up next hey doc. Paul. How are you doing Sir I'm doing great. Thank you. Just. A couple of comments I haven't called her a few years but I guess it's this is not as timely, but I never understood why there is even a discussion about moving moving things off to the spring like the I don't know why anybody thinks anything is going to be different in in the spring may only be worth the winter and spring may only be worse than it is. Now with the way, the virus is spreading. And then my other comment was about the fans in the stands and you know I from the last caller I kinda got the sense of it's more of like a you know, why should I not be allowed to go in the stands is sign a waiver well, it's because I don't trust you or the twenty thousand other people that are going to be there. To be safe and not come spread it into my community. This thing is spreading like crazy right now. So I think. If you're GonNa let twenty percent of the stadium full. That's exactly the way we're going about this virus where like kind of practicing social distancing but not really it's the same thing with the stadium either leave empty or fill it up but there's no point of going halfway I'll be. Documentaries too because I mean you obviously, I've talked a lot of people in have your own opinions but I don't know very many people from the medical community. Who are upbeat or optimistic about where we're going to be in four to six weeks No I. I mean I I mean this is actually personally affecting myself right now with family members affected and possibly my shirt that's the reason I have time to call right now. But I think we're going to be there's no signal that that this spread is slowing down and it appears to be accelerating pretty significantly so I, just I mean if you can't keep. A major league. Baseball team of full of millionaires getting everything cater to them. With getting this virus, it's just GONNA. It's going to spread by crazy and if you're actually going to adhere to the CDC guidelines or each State Department of Health and Human Services Guideline I mean they're very stringent if somebody gets a sniffle that has a huge effect on how you have to quarantine the rest of the team. So it's like do you really trust that if you know you know Alabama's playing Tennessee next week and the star running back has a cold like they're gonNA keep him out. You know so I know I agree duck and another thing too is I have not heard anybody really bring this up but A. Everyone's GonNa be engaged at the beginning of the year but what happens a couple of weeks in when there are mass outbreaks? Teams are losing I? Mean we're talking about some just absolute chaos. Sure and one other one not to cut you off. But one other point I wanted to make was and you know with everything going on with. Sort of socially in this country right now, everybody's on edge and. You know what if you have a whole team that gets an outbreak a few people get sick and then you're going to start to get these players are out here playing for free just so Big Boosters can make money and I just think it's going to get ugly. I mean if they can keep it safe, I'd I'd love to see football but I mean I'm more concerned about a twenty twenty one season. Then at twenty twenty season right now I mean I. So we'll. We'll see how it goes. I mean it's it's GonNa be interesting to see football with with no fans in the stands I mean you've seen that the GDP game or the black and white game or whatever. This spring games are called I mean not not particularly exciting I. Mean it'll be better with actual competition but it's Is it. Really worth it. I mean, that's my question. I understand. There's a lot of money on the line. It's that I mean that's that's ultimately the question I mean I guess we'll find out you know. yeah we're we're going to find out and quite frankly doc I don't think it's GonNa. Take too long to find that Hey, great to have you on your family. Makes her comeback Scott is in Knoxville Tennessee Hello Scott. Roy Deal where you're doing. Great. That sounds good. I just had a comment I know everybody is football and that includes me and. I don't really say football being employees unless the science community comes up with evacuation. Throw let me let me let me interrupt you there. We just had one of the top epidemiologists in the country on two hours ago the there's no way of axiom is going to be ready until at the at the earliest the end of the year, and he said even with the distribution, the processing and the distribution of hundreds of billions. We're not talking about this current football season not happening. Well I. Don't see how they could have won and keep everybody say. That's like Tennessee. Well, let me ask you a question though Based on what we're hearing from the people that are running collegiate sports Are they really concerned about anyone being safe? Mala to. That I. Mean That's why Florida at Florida Casey's in Florida. I'd be scared for my name to go the Florida and play ball game. Well right now you're probably, right hey great to have you on Jake is up next jake thanks for the call. Yes sir Mr Paul Finebaum would you please just give me five minutes all I'm asking? These are these are. You there I'm here. Go ahead. These are serious times we're living in. And these are the end times and God is saying I am aggravated would you people get your eyes off your things and get your eyes on me? And all I'm saying is I'm tired of hearing about a week put bar I I asked God last year to give one more year and nothing happened. Last year was a great year for my tigers. And he entered that prayer. But I'm telling you that this is not good in all world is in Greg with everything that's for coming. And the only thing I think lowered saying is look upon mean trust me. And I just I hate for people to get sick and die. And and just because the. Prophet of money are. Anything. Else like that. And that's all I wanNA. Say Thank you. Thank you. We will take a break. More updates on all of this more guest to come. As we continue here on a very busy Wednesday afternoon, you're listening to the Paul Finebaum show podcast. It's your.

I did need but I don't think Florida lose their quarterback in the that is correct so yeah it's just what it is I mean everybody had Willie factor Florida state. get the rights and they were gonna lose every game this season I can't believe the other barely people easy of a roll last week and here Virginia was the favorite to win the coastal. if if they're able to hold on and win that game so here's your fortunes can can turn quickly a college football good or bad that's why we love it and you know every week we sit here we talk about some of the games that seem to defy description. this game I would think is played out as we anticipated with the exception of the fact that UCLA almost look did going into that happens you know they put a good third quarter very good news long drive in able to convert and I thought you know they have an opportunity on the second chance two chances with the ball in the third quarter but here's a here's a tough row there was scored a point in the fourth quarter this season and they're down by twenty seven here. they begin the fourth quarter from the sooner thirty eight your line first and ten Phillips ships out to the right John good snap DDT are suitors coming after gets rid of the football completed traffic at the twenty five..

I think everyone surprised the way they played the first three quarters that game. They get special teams touchdown in the fourth quarter. And March eighty yards down the field to win the game. Saying now move ahead in the standings. Tough road ahead. But that program is on the rise. Give him a stock. Is there any apology to Terry Wilson? No because he's still stay. Let's be honest even after the game winning drive. No impressive drive. But every squirrel finds. It's nuts. Yeah. With you on that one. What you got stuck up goes Antonio Brown, and we all saw deandre Hopkins. Make the great catch against the dolphins on Thursday night. And unfortunately, it's called back by the Opie. I which younger Hopkins vehemently denied Antonio Brown. Also vehemently denied something this week. He said he didn't see it. You know, what you do in politics? When you're the best sports near the best deny deny stock up. Antonio brown. I'll tell you. I once remember being around Fletcher Cox, and he said to the media he got annoyed with us asking about previous Super Bowls because he said, he doesn't watch football must if he's playing it. So when he's away from the facilities doesn't watch football, which I thought was eight happens with some athletes, but I thought it was bizarre. Like, how have you? He claims he never watched the Super Bowl since he was a little kid or something like that. And then they went on Twitter, and they found that there were tweets from the Super Bowl from one of them recently. So I always find it interesting when athletes is a big player big moment, and they go. Yeah. I haven't watched.

Mike Kelly, the voice of the Tigers. And our host of sports on a Sunday morning is he surprised by the spread? And what does he make the match up? I think it speaks volumes to Kentucky struggles offensively in terms of being one. Conventional Terry Wilson, a quarterback has has not been terribly productive throwing the football. He's got three rushing touchdowns. Mark stoops said yesterday, his news conference that he would into actually radio show. Prepare all three quarterbacks with the possibility of playing this week against Missouri. Three clock on SEC network today for Mizzou an Kentucky. "Know, for one. Do you think that you know, stoops is going through with the new? Like he was kind of talking post game. And then. How in the world? Do we get past these no calls? I mean, I I know we got the so called on us. It's ridiculous. How wherever you had a face mask. Terry wilson. Babylon twenty nine. And then last one we went to we went to that game. And they were holding Alan JARA game. And they never called it. And. Okay. Deal with that. It's tough. I mean, you know, listen, I appreciate copycat careful going home. I the the Al out finally got a hold call this game. And it was a big one was after a long completion. But I mean, I do feel like there's a little bit of this shack rules with him. Which is you could call holding every time. So they don't back with shack played he got fouled every play, and they just wouldn't call it every time. I think there's a little part of that Josh Allen on the kicker situation. They have five games left. One of them's against middle. Tennessee state. If you assume you're going to need a great kicker to win that game. I there's a really decent chance that you see chance. Poor kick all field goals from now on. I don't know that. But I think that's going to happen. I think miles Butler will still kicked the extra points because the thing has been part of the reason they didn't play poor from the beginning is he has a tendency to miss short words. But I think they're going to basically have miles Butler kicked the extra points and at chance poor kick the field goes you heard stoop say that on that last drive when Benny snail scored the touchdown that had they not scored and had they need a field goal. He was gonna put in chance poor. So I think you will probably see him go to that starting in the next game. Because as long as he doesn't kick against middle. Tennessee state. He could kick these last four games and not loses. Right shirt ear who's next Brian? What's up? As for the game in the weather.

"A real big blue nation is absolutely for real. I mean, what they are doing at the line of scrimmage running the football. I mean, Benny Snell has I believe, more yards effort contacted anybody in the entire country through four games more in anybody in the SEC in the first four games, he's been unbelievable, and really the guy that maybe the stat call them won't say it. But Terry Wilson has been the x factor even just the threat of what he's able to do with his legs has absolutely changed how teams scheme against the run. Some there read options, some of their niche kind of gadget option plays that they run. He's absolutely changed things. I think he's only going to get better throwing the football, which means his team's only gonna get more dangerous. I realize you're, you're an analyst. You're not an oddsmaker, but they're another dog again. I am. I don't see that. I really don't. If I'm just watching the film and I've had an a couple times already this year. Are they more talented, maybe from Rosser standpoint top to bottom, you could argue maybe but Kevin mind, I think really has struggled in decision making. I saw that against. Entin. Yeah, he threw for three hundred thirty yards in the second half, but there were some decision making issues. I think he's still growing in that right as he better than he was last year. Yes, but you've got a team in Kentucky that my biggest question Mark going into the game against South Carolina was, could they gourd on the outside? Could they match up on the outside? Because Kentucky is long, their physical in the outset don't have burners out there. They're not four, five star DB's out there. Their coverage was as good as anything that entire game. Jake. Bentley flout didn't have anywhere to go with the ball primarily every snap. So I think that creates a lot of problems for tech, say 'em because Kentucky's been good, stopping the run because kellyn Montas had some decision making issues in Kentucky was varied in their covers, did way more too high than I've seen in a really long time out of that team. So they are kind of just only ninety reloading saving the right word. They are getting more complex and more efficient on the defensive side of the ball. In that scary. I think it gets a team like Texas a name that is still struggling. I think the find their footing on offense. So let's assume the Kentucky gets. Over this hump, they still have Missouri a little bit of a mystery team before their fans are already ready for Georgia. Yeah, I wouldn't sleep on Missouri and I think Missouri showed against Georgia. That score at the end of the game did not dictate. I think how that game was Missouri had you know, the fumble for a touchdown, had the special teams touchdown. They gave up how the interception on a drop that put George down to three yard line, Missouri dominate. I won't say dominate Missouri was the better team for about two and a half, three quarters of that game. They really work. I think at the line of scrimmage, they were better. They hurt themselves. That's a scary team. If I'm Kentucky because drew lock on any given Saturday can throw it around as good as anybody. There dangerous when you look forward at Georgia actually have more questions about Georgia than I do about Kentucky right now, we hear a lot of excitement in terms of Justin fields. Are we going to see more of him? This was interesting pollen in I take special aim at the quarterback, so I watch film every week. I am not under crediting Jake from for what he does the the has, what he does in the run, pass option. What he does changing run. Plays the normal fan would have no idea what he's doing exceptional at what he does pre snap for this team. I think he's a good quarterback. I don't know if he's a game changer at least yet. We haven't seen a ton of him in fourth quarters and tie games when everything's on his shoulders, having to throw the football. He's average on third down only completing fifty, two percent of his passes two touchdowns tuner sections on third down, but really twice in that game against.

"Been dominant. How do you feel quarterback Terry Wilson handled this states tonight, so far he's done an excellent job tonight? Stayed in the pocket. Converted a third down throwing it which was a big third down. I think can lead to a touchdown mistake. And then of course. He's made a few scrambled than a few designed run. So I think he's playing very good. You talked to us about your defense coming into this game. You said it was going to be a coverage game that you had to win in coverage. How would you assess that part of your defense in the first half? We're a little too aggressive bad. If you guys open we just got fortunate they missed a couple. So we we gotta get back and played a little bit better discipline is. Thank you. Thank you, Tom. Louisville. Sounds a lot like Cole cubelic because it was a call there with the halftime interview. Penn State thirteen to seven lead on Ohio State Notre Dame twenty four to fourteen lead on Stanford and a third down and fifteen upcoming for BYU in their own. Is there just content with just running down some clock? And it looks like BYU has just turn the ball over as they were attempting to just run the football Washington. We'll have it at the BYU twenty yard line. Ohio State has come to play in the second half JK Dobbins with his second touchdown of the game. This one a four yard touchdown run. Look, you give Ohio State these kind of opportunities these kind of chances or better part of that don't cash in on your own opportunities as Penn State didn't in that first half, Ohio State has this one for the taking. "It appears to be Derek Dooley. What is Derek Dooley's defining physical characteristic just a stonewall head of hair a Bob Diaka caliber head of hair might be made of plastic who's to say, would you say that this year, one of the storylines we can follow is Derek Dooley and his locks of love. Being so he's got a quarterback named drew lock. Does that make any sense? Tiempo throw out some silence. I just don't want you to think we've disconnected. Okay. That's okay. I mean, you have to go for it sometimes and it is a season preview. That's what I came up with on my lunch break. Jaffer lunch. I had a salad. You probably need it more protein, maybe a little bit more protein. Yep, yeah. Okay. I think they can win eight games and you watch you watch because they have one of the best seven or eight quarterbacks in the country. They're going to be UT, Martin Wyoming. They're going to beat Purdue hail. They're going to be Kentucky. They're going to beat vandy. That ready gets you to five. So then we've got your choice of Georgia? No, South Carolina, they could Alabama. No could definitely beat Memphis. Little awhile will go definitely could definitely beat meant either, say could or definitely would beat Memphis. They could Memphis. Good. Memphis is gonna be good. Could beat Memphis that game's going. That's what mid October is going to be one hundred million points in that game. That's going to be some random spice. I'm looking forward to that Arkansas's a winnable, their winnable games on here. I'm not feeling eight. I'm not feeling I'm feeling in other seven, five years. Seven, five year? Yeah. Okay. Lot offense number. So yeah, it's it's tough when you look at a team and would be happy to be wrong. As you know, the defense definitely improved the back half of last season. It's tough when you say they're going to need to win some shootouts. Yeah, yeah, that's tough. It's a tough thing to do weekend and week out and compete for eight nine wins. It's Perdue situation, a Perdue self. Wow. I don't know who that's more insulting with a much, much better offense and on the sure about defense. Probably I'd rather have Missouri's. Damn, was you rather have a super good, play collar, an offense of mine running things, and okay, talent or good talent with the duals. Wow. Yeah, I think we're going, oh, duals. Because there's not a lot of punch in that coordinator. What beer drinkers drink when they're not drinking beer? Yeah, yeah. I think I'd still rather have the talent think it's still rather have Mizzou, but it made me think for a second. All right. Let's go to Kentucky. Now, the team went seven and five year ago. They've got a new quarterback. The number one junior college transfer in the form of Terry Wilson gentlemen, I believe you're familiar with from his time at Oregon? Yes. Terry Wilson wanna say is from Kansas somewhere in that in the plains area. And he came in with a ton of hype or enthusiasm from everywhere outside of the program. And once just in Herbert looked pretty good. Terry Wilson had a spring where you know after Justin Herbert's first year. So it's been last year with Willie Taggart. And there was never a story in practice after the spring game. That was like, I don't know. We might have a battle on our hands. There was never that store that was never watch out. Don't count out Terry Wilson, right. That was never even in like a, don't forget about like there was there was nothing about at least during his time at Oregon, at least publicly. I was definitely not at practice, but there was nothing that tells me at the moment though, like, ooh, Kentucky's getting a sneak attack right in a huge talent. Now that said he played a year junior college between Oregon, Kentucky number one, junior college transfer players develop. I think he has the physical traits I will see maybe the system will be tailored to them nicely. I do like Eddie grant. Their offensive coordinator has had success at a number of places most notably. I think it was really good at cincy. But. There are pieces around him, I like, but that is what is that a question? Well, Benny Snell is the piece. Yes. He's a star at running back. Thirteen hundred yards year ago nineteen touchdowns we had a funny little name for what we call Benny, the jet, Benny, the jet, something like that..
