"They've interacted. I wonder how much that matters. It may not matter at all. It may be zero. It may be that it doesn't matter at all. But it's just sometimes relationships matter in the NBA. And there's some connections between the Lakers and the hornets. There are already kind of built in that makes me feel like there could be a trade to be had there. Izzy 7 one four just submit those ones. Get it done. Yeah, this is for moz gov. Man. Yeah, I'm just curious, like you mentioned, what would they really want like if they want, let's say, again, let's go back to the Hayward deal because personally, I prefer the Hayward deal because you get more cap flexibility long-term compared to Terry Rozier who has a four year contract. So there's less flexibility there. If they only want one first, or no first at all, Trevor, I might say yes. Without even blinking an eye, anything more than a first, I'd probably say no, but yeah, I'm just curious to see what they would really want to return if it's just rawson a second or rust in a future, maybe protected first round pick, then I see no problem with that personally. Bob and mentality asked what tequila sinco is the tequila. Mister B Lloyd, if the hornets deal went through it, would you then use the taxpayer mid level on auto Porter junior sent plumlee THT none for Brogdon? Or if you can't just send plumlee and a second for KCP. So you wouldn't be able to re you wouldn't be able to add plumley into another deal with other players. Or maybe there's sometimes some ways around that, but if you could do something like that, THT, none for brogden. I don't know if the patients would do that. You probably have to attach some draft capital to make that happen. When I use my taxpayer mid level on auto Porter junior, yes, I think that's, I honestly think, regardless of what moved the Lakers make or don't make with Russ, my answer is yes to auto Porter junior for the taxpayer mid level. If that's on the table, it's a yes. If you went with the Gordon Hayward package personally, my number one option changes from audit reporters junior to gay paying the second. Because then I feel a little bit more comfortable on my wing depth and then I go get gay pain the second to help fill out more of your guard room there. But I do understand autoport junior still being populous and honestly he's probably number two instead of being number one. I might shift it to mo bamba if that's the deal that you do. Okay. But I don't know number one for sure if he will be available or not. The magic have to renounce his rights. That's the rumor that they're going to, but hasn't happened yet. They may try to do a sign and trade or something like that with them first..

"If you're going to do the big three model, you've got to have again three players who fit, who complement each other. I do think Kyrie LeBron AD, it fits better. But is it the perfect fit? Probably not. But then again, if you're the Lakers, let's look at this way. If you're the Lakers and you have the ability, west drew blood, thanks for the super chat. And you have the ability to trade Russell Westbrook to two different places to get two different outcomes. You have one opportunity to trade Russ and get Gordon Hayward and Terry Rozier. That's one option. Option two is you can trade Rus, Gordon Hayward and Terry Rozier or whatever it is goes to the nets and you get Kyrie. And your cost is the same. Both of them you have to include your future first or whatever. Whatever that is, whether it's two first, one first, the cost is the same. What outcome do you prefer? I'm taking I'm taking a more depth. I'm taking Gordon and Terry and really quickly because the chat's talking about bronze Kyrie and Kevin Love, wade LeBron and Bosch. Those are completely different than the situation of light because of being Anthony Davis in his prime still. Like Bosch, he took a significantly less role and LeBron was also 28 ways in Miami and early 30s. When he was in Cleveland, LeBron could bear more of that load, ideally, LeBron shouldn't be like the number one option on a team with Anthony Davis. And I don't think you want AD to be the third option on your team. So it's completely different. But back to the question, just get more depth, honestly, like Kyrie Irving again is a fantastic player. But you get more flexibility and again, Gordon Hayward would have two more years left. I think for it's actually where it could be what Gordon Uber and maybe like somebody else to fill it in. It would be their Gordon Hayward and Kelly ubre or you've got some options. So let's say you do Hayward a new brake. Uber race expiring. Heyward is a two year deal. So you get cap flexibility down the road as well, whereas Kyrie, you would get them for this year, this upcoming year, and then you would have the extension kick in..

"Carmela was the more gifted overall score at the beginning, right? Carmelo had the natural, that was how they came into the league and how they were viewed. Carmela was the score LeBron was the orchestrator who could also score. And LeBron just became a dominant scorer who also, you know, it was this phenomenal point forward type. And I always thought if Carmelo would just dedicate himself to play making a little bit more. And it was just not the way he's made up. And I criticized him for it at times and I still kind of think at times that Carmelo could have become a better assist guy a better playmaker in the course of his career and it would have led to more success with some of his teams. But some guys just aren't built that way. And maybe Tatum and brown like they're great at what they're great at. Tatum's got this incredible all around offensive repertoire. Jalen brown's a really good score and a shooter and can take on the top defensive assignments and they're both switchable and they're athletic. They've got all these other things going for them. They may or may not ever grow into great playmakers. So it's incumbent upon the team, and you know, I've said this before, too. I've gone through that same list. The had Isaiah Thomas. The head Kyrie Irving, the Terry Rozier, even once upon a time, the head Gordon Hayward, who will not a point guard was a great playmaking forward and a guy who could get a team organized and just create for teammates. They just don't have playmaking. And that's on the front office. That's on Danny ainge for over the course of his last couple of years there for the guys he lost and the guys that he couldn't acquire. That's on Brad Stevens now. And the playmaking stuff, like as I look at the roster, like Brad Stevens did some pretty smart things in the off season. Sure. Moving off Kemba Walker for Al Horford when you consider it, they're better off for that. Like Al Horford, while he struggled with his shot his own is given what we've seen from Kemba like Al's a better fit for the Celtics team than Kemba would have been in hindsight. Let it govern fournier walk. I thought that was a bad idea at the time, even though fournier keeps coming in and killing the Celtics every time he plays against them..

"It's good. They took them away from the Celtics here, but to hear you may talk about that experience. The way they misused him as he said in the preseason, or if it I think called it challenging when he returned here to Boston and I know it's just bits and pieces of kind of shade cast on that experience, but Richardson was complaining about the locker room and just some of the interactions there. Like we talk about how weird things have been around the Celtics over the last couple of years. Billy's had its fair share of wackiness on the inside too. And Richardson Horford were two guys who didn't have a great experience there. And you know, I guess if it's all expand, people follow in Boston. Soon we have a better time here despite all the crap that comes up here too inside the team. So there is a great return to that in 2020. You would have been able to sign rosea. It is interesting to think about where they'd be right now if they just brought back their share that year. We've done segments on that. We had debates about that and it was kind of contentious at the time and now looking back on it seeing what happened with Kemba this week in the last year or so here. There's really no question like the best team possible would have been roger from the back up to 2019. I guess it just feels totally. Everyone has to remember Terry Rozier shot 27% that year. I know how good he is now. I know, but that's the point. Nobody would have seen what you saw from Rozier. He looked unplayable. He was he was the worst playable? No. Rosea and his bag from the horn, it's still here in his last year in Boston was the worst player on that team. He was awful. Don't make me watch. You couldn't wait to get him out. He was awful. And the style that he played and that he was one of those guys who wanted the ball more and hell I think, yeah, so that's the thing. He was thinking he would clash a little bit more with Tatum and Brown and smart than he would have if he was able to he was kind of allowed to do more of what he wanted to do in Charlotte. So I think it's kind of hard to compare Charlotte Rozier to Boston her because he would have had a completely different role here. He probably would have been unhappy to start her here. But he would have been started but he would have been like the distant third wheel starter based on everyone's inclination on how jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum were eventually going to be. Now, whether that's right or wrong is remains to be seen..

"He doesn't anymore and by the way. I love it. I think this rule change has been beneficial to the nba. You don't have that same bullshit. Getting called where guys you know. Pump fake and then jump into opposing defenders. That's not basketball. That's not a basketball play so kudos to the nba for a realizing it addressing. I think making the game move a lot more freely. My surprise team howard is my charlotte hornets. I know buzz fans you hate me. You ratio me all that but the charlotte hornets. Bandwagon is filling up and i am driving it. This team is not only entertaining which we touched on earlier in the show but they are really good right now they have six players averaging in double figures. And that is without terry rozier. As part of the rotation of the moment because his out of the lineup. When they're fully healthy they are explosive in that backward. We know about lamelo ball terry. Rozier has played great and has a couple of seasons in charlotte but miles. Bridges is a straight stud to the first three games. He had thirty plus points. This guy is the real deal. Lamelo start playing uptempo. It's as good team has any in transition this league. I mean i'm not gonna put them raising banner number one down there in charlotte at this point but this is a playoff team and when they get into the playoffs based on some of the improvements. I think we're going to see this season. They're going to be a really tough out. I would not want to play charlotte in the postseason with that group. Now listen we're gonna wear out our hornets love in Week one here but let new. The hornets are blast miles. Bridges is a huge part of that. He's crazy. Athletic is not just in the open court like he. He was just attacking the couple games off watched. He's just attacking guys off the dribble to. He's got a tremendous lifted. The basket his three point shots going. He was just named eastern conference player of the week. So there's that twenty five points eight rebounds two point seven steals through week one and there's nothing like the numbers may not sustain but i mean there's nothing in terms of his overall game. That's not sustainable. We've seen this this for you. Know miles has been kind of coming along like this since he got to the league. So they've got a lot of really nice talented. I mean credit mitch. Cup jack who has quietly done. Because that's what mitch does which is quiet. He's these these the guy you will hear the least from among nba gems. But not that. Long ago mitch was run out of la. And i thought that was probably the end for him in this league and especially you know at his his age. You don't necessarily get other another shot. The hornets tired him. It was looked looked at as a north carolina. Thing michael jordan taking care of somebody in the tar heel family and mitch in his crew have done a really nice job putting this team together. "He doesn't really miss a lot of time they're just not very good when he's on the floor even when wrestles russell westbrook was there so for them to of get the w. there was little impressive. And they. they have more depth. Now and i just i like a lot of the pieces on that roster but for you of the bulls hornets wizards which is which is like the real team. Here chris man. I think you actually kind of gave the answer already when one team that they clearly look charlotte. I mean that keep in mind. It's fine. But i think it was. I think it's a kind of an obvious answer which that's fine you know. Welcome to the show hornets i. It seems like they're real It's early you know. And some of their games have been tight. I think they've they've had one point win over indiana they did pull away from the nets really nicely yesterday. But they're doing this without terry rozier year which is nice Which actually kind of begs the question a little bit. I mean he was very very good for them last year but I don't know like when he gets back. The distribution of the ball is a little bit different when he's running the show as opposed to win. It's just lamelo or when have schmidt out there it's just a little bit of a different fields not that rhodesia's hogging the ball or anything like that. But he's a big part of the team. It's just a couple of games so it doesn't you know it's not the the rest of the season for them but it's just interesting to think about some of it in the way they look to have him in that position when he gets back. But anyway i like about him is just the pace obviously. It's a team that really bears down on you little bit at times with all the cutting that they do not a massive kelly oubre fan but on this team he does kinda fit that role very well just another like really athletic guy than kinda get up and down the floor for the they play who can knock down at three every now and then and the fact that we. I think we talked about it a little bit on the last pockets to the fact that hayward is there this is a team that was playoff ready last year. I think if they were at full strength they weren't at full strength. They kind of play themselves on no spot with all their injuries where they had to kinda play literally ran a plan situation. Didn't have that experience as early. And now i still don't know that they have experienced but i don't know that they need. I think they're going to be a lot more talented than some of the teams. They play which will make really fun basketball. You hope that they don't get to full on themselves to quickly But they'd have a lot of physical and athletic advantages on a lot of the teams are going to play. You know god forbid their shots fall at a certain rate because it's going to be hard to beat them. I love the hornets Love everything about them. The terry rozier point is really smart with to make their fourth in pace their fourth and offense their fourth in assist rate. A lot of these guys were around last season when they think they led the league in assists last year..

You and i are participating and contributing to and let's just say terry rozier is Way ahead of kemba walker on my top one hundred The last player. I wanna shut out is collide leonard Obviously he's two time finalists. Mvp but he missed pretty much. All of the twenty eighteen slows. Geico is either hurt or in the finals at this point in his career. Exactly so you know exactly so yeah. He misses basically. All of two thousand. Eighteen is age twenty. Six season then goes to toronto wins the championship now. He's about to probably miss all or a vast majority of another season a couple years later so that was another player just when we're talking about like all. Nba a radio talk about timing. He's gonna miss to play off runs. It seems like no one knows about. But there's a chance he misses the to play off runs because of one injury which is a gigantic bummer. Because i think the clippers were right there With the bucks and sons and easily could have won the finals Healthy so yeah you another guy you talk about timing getting hurt up Twenty however many points in game. One of the western conference finals against the warriors. Yeah it's that's a really good one. Okay so we have a fun. Email now coming in from Longtime listener dylan dylan. Who writes in. Gator coast step even if you just signed her and you know similar to what to do in baseball and kinda throw in a you know a development league or development team. She's still gets a chance to grow and make money and do something that she loves. So i didn't find an issue that i am happy that she scored her first goal though. That's pretty awesome at fifteen years old. That's that's awesome And i don't know if you'll ever see an adult player professional player you know. Take exception to getting schooled by fifteen year old. I don't know if that's the case but honestly competitions competition. Exactly there's people there's like kids ten years old. That's better than a lot of professionals. Oh i agree like because they literally spent their day tonight every single day now whether or not that child abuse. that's totally different scoring early trump down situation but they have so much skills you'll update they don't have is the natural athleticism that is game. You know through growing up further of course skills like please. There's that are like really really good So yeah so here. We are right. You have this fifteen year old corner. I kid you know first goal and hopefully first of all the mini. Overly we see her. You know plan for years ago I know when you're playing a gain if young and you're starting to make money. Sometimes it become less fun so i'm hoping that she continues to have fun in this in this game that she just so happens love and is good at And i hope the read more about her honestly again active the olympics. I believe that my vision in view of sports is growing out a lot more international. Sports play but i also want to grow in actually watching sports. So that's one thing. "Happens to so on the off chance. These allegations for the shawn watson. Turn out to be false. I want to see the same energy towards those accusers. now i'm not saying that they're lying. I stating that until we actually see any new developments outside of another authoritative company or authoritative institution. Looking into this. This means nothing to john gotti because been nothing new revealed it anyone saying well so and so said they had this. Where is it all it is right now is hearsay and hearsay is not a missile in any court net affects. That's all backs. Which again. I felt like i said this yesterday is all of mostly all of the news. It's like it's the speculation at this point or it's coded that's that's the news But speaking of lawsuits and news A we had a first goal scored Something that i felt like should've gone it a lot more attention and i'm pretty disappointed that this is the first time i'm really hearing about the story. And that's of now year fifteen-year-old livia multi yesterday scoring her. First professional goal for the orleans ornes They defeated the houston dash three to one on a penalty shootout now. Apparently miss multi speaking of lawsuits sue the national women's soccer league for not allowing her to play She was thirteen when she signed with nike. And i guess at that particular point. She sued the in w. s. l. That may Because they were prohibiting players from playing under eighteen which we know obviously from other sports that this has been an ongoing debate. G allow players out of high school. You go to college. And i said earlier before we got on the show you know. Soccer is different baseball different hockey different than basketball and football. And i'm be sitting there like i get it but there's no way you know twenty three twenty lawsuits. You know you start paying. He's not paying people. You know all of a sudden more people are gonna come up so if he's innocent. I think he's remain innocent. I i don't. I don't think you should settle anything. If that's the case. Keep your innocence if your innocence. But if you're guilty and you know you're guilty than settlement comes in and that's where we start questioning people's character and so on and so forth so unfortunately his characters rated in question if the first one came out and all it takes is one all right all the what you said. Twenty three twenty three. Yeah all twenty-three is doing is in wrestling terms. It's just buried him. Further and further and further. I will give you our give. Give props to him in his legal team. The fact that he didn't say anything said a word and there's been no video of him. I mean i haven't seen any on the campus thing. It's one of the accusers alleged. They had text messages. That has been shown right. Nothing happened yet. So until i see anything. All this is is an allegation. Allegation does not equal get in that. That's something that we as a people do need to do better at as we're quick. I mean really quick to pull that guilty triggered well real quick before hearing all the facts but because we have so much information thrown at us five hundred thousand miles per hour that people don't take opportunity to ingest the information to make their own determination. They see it in a believe it. And it's kinda sad. It's kind of counterintuitive in the past. People did that because they were reliable new sources. "Raymond for him. Definitely i mean and you know took yesterday about. Cte's in how dangerous that can day in regards to developing young football players I don't think really speak a lot. About how hard issues can have an impact on not just football before every sport. Actually of course we know of someone who had you know heart issues and passed away from all mata right. We'll play basketball for saint peter's university formerly known as saint peter's college. So i think this is a pretty good move. Of course he. Did you know it was a tough decision. Because he loves the game football he is a former trojan But you know while wishes to him and you know not to sound like that person but you know whatever he decides to do next. I hope he's successful in happy by do next appreciate. He has business additions that he that he definitely loves to explore. I haven't had a chance to hear him interview but maybe have a pretty good opportunity to get into a into an analyst fro may would like the nfl network which would be definitely possible And you think about it you know you play the game football for you know. Most people minimum of you know fifteen years you know ten to fifteen years And he says it's been a tremendous part of his life Obviously you make a lot of friends. You make a lot of memories. You obviously make a lot of connections. You learn a lot of life lessons through football but when you're asking your body to do something in order to play a game that you know is temporary It's a discussion that you have to have not only yourself but you know you have got a parade you gotta talk to your friends and family. You're there's you know the vikings medical staff you know forty. Put him out there. They would make sure that he's out enough to give his full effort at the end of the day in say the least morality professionals in the game of football has gotten better right instead of you need to get out there you know. And i and i know i coach on the lower scale but you know i always tell my girls as well like hey ended the day. You're some people. I wouldn't even think that minimum have player minimum contracts Five six million dollars When you know you could at least ten to fifteen or you could. Just stay with the lakers and pretty much got this deal. I think actually it might have been in the eighty million rain eighty but it was high eighties low nineties still would have been sort been okay but again maybe betting on himself in a situation might be might not be wrong thing. I mean obviously The celtics are trying to build something different. So at work out but congrats deteriorate zia for cashing in. I mean that's awesome At by the raise. I mean you can't be mad at that. I'm interested to see what they're going to do. Moving forward if they're gonna run that two guards set with him. Lamelo ball obviously used still have miles bridges. You have gordon hayward And then you also mentioned as we mentioned Week ago kelly. Oubre coming in so. It's going to be breezy small. His bmi himself. Yeah a damaging bridges. And then you also also brought in ish smith as well so i i mean it's gonna be interesting to see what kind of offense. Mr bogo is going to run. But i'm interested to see. I assume it's going to be a pretty fast paced offense based on a pieces that they have little run and gun mess him really really young guards in james book night. Terry Rozier Agrees to Four-Year, $97 Million Extension With Charlotte Hornets

"Getting paid in a major way. I was not expecting Terry to get the Supermax contract extension, but he did. $97 million over the next four years for Terry Rozier with the Charlotte Hornets. Terry had a great run at Louisville still holds the record for most points, scored in a season by a sophomore and had a great run in Boston. It was fun watching him play not only get a lot of minutes for a good team that was in contention, but the Celtics that was a great run they had, and he was a big factor in that. He goes to Charlotte. I think in his first year little underwhelming, they paid him a lot of money and then kind of quietly in his second season with the Hornets this past year, I had a really good year averaged 20 points per game shot 45% from three and I think it didn't get as much attention because the rookie on his team Lamelo ball ended up winning. Uh, the The rookie of the year, But yeah, Terry getting paid in a major way. That's uh,

"And i'm guessing it's going to be his favorite team. He was apparently born in. Charlotte played his high school and college basketball and north carolina. And i think he'll fit alongside. Lamelo terry rozier gordon hayward the hornets played their best when they were playing super fast. That's what smith is the best that is playing fast. So i think it'll be a solid third or fourth guard for them. And the good thing for ish smith is. He signed his deal. Four and a half million for one year with a team option for the second year which means he might be able to find team number thirteen next summer. Which would put them in the lead right. Now get even signed with the denver nuggets alongside jeff green number thirteen alongside jeff. Green sounds too good to be true. So yeah ish smith keeping the ticker counting couple of deals. I liked rudy. Gay signing with the jazz is solid. Think it's two years twelve million ish toll point one. I think officially you know he's a he's basically a backup big at this point of his career. But he's still solid. So i don't mind that for them and i also like murky morris going to the heat. Now you're hoping for twenty twenty bubble morris not twenty one morris when it comes to at least shooting because he was bad last year. Thirty one percent from deep. But if you remember the bubble down in florida he was awesome. Shot forty two percent from three in that playoff. Run for the lakers and the championship run. So i like it obviously. It's not a lot of money here. We talked about the heat. Having a bunch of spots phil and basically only the vets minimum to throw at guys and one of them's filled here. I think in a pretty good player in markeith more i like both of those obviously vets. That are big play defense and both of these guys can score a little bit concerned bunches at least. And you're just hoping again with morris that it's more from twenty twenty and not last year where it sort of fell off a cliff like thirty one percent it was sort of fallen out of the rotation there. Don't know if you saw this one skates jazz. Along with rudy. Gay picked up hassan whiteside. Yeah in case they ever run into jaanus in the nba final. That story like old stories. Along all another great fit robin lopez signing with the orlando magic agency. If you ask me. He's got to be happy about that. We didn't talk about the kings getting len and now now the jazz getting whites. What about this first. Though i mean the spurs off season is being pretty bad. Seems like they've lost everybody to rose going on doug mcdermott and zach collins. So what's been jock landale scouting. Yeh jock jock has a forty foot shot. Does it quite but yeah. He's wait children at a rougher feeble johnson forty. Okay.

"Everyone hates van. Gundy things are falling apart and the and the whole team and so those are his four. Mba years there was an enormous here yet. So i think he's worth the risk fi due to and i will say that. I think the lakers did a horrible disservices to him and included including irvin magic johnson by the way just the way they decide that kid before and so much of it i think had to do with his father and the whole reputation of the family and has been from by all accounts she asked. I always ask players about him. And they're like he's quiet. he's funny. He fits in everywhere. He never says anything. He's you know he's not at all bombastic. There's just nothing about him that way and just think of the microscope e was under. Forget his brother who we all knew talented. It was the better of the two and all of that. He's the one that bore the brunt of all the nonsense that was that his family was enveloped in and he'll look pretty well. He really agree what you think. So the orleans is looking at a sign and trade for him if people go well those signing trade michiko. It's like why. So colby way back why i would rather i'd rather marcus smart right. Or how about this. Can i throw this at you. Gary hold onto your forehead. Admit explode god okay. What about what about charlotte. What about terry rozier. Sign and trade. Wouldn't terry rozier be good in the pelicans. Isn't that a tree that make sense and we put the ball brothers together lonzo lamelo. Why not. Why not googling. But even talk about it but i feel like if they turn lonzo. Rozier if you're gonna lose lonzo anyway very like the kind of the perfect guy to be on the pelicans right. He thinks he's a little better than he is but he is totally need. The ball can is good spot up shooter but once the ball find somebody else is going to need. The ball is a at the guard position. But if i'm the pelicans. And i'm looking at terry rozier. Do i want to bring him in. When i need to get make sure that zion gets what he needs and brandon. Ingram gets what he needs not sure. That's the point guard. I want so you marcus. Then if you're new orleans. Yeah i think if you're in new orleans that's what i would do but i i mean if the if the bull sign lonzo ball to an offer sheet you don't have to sign and trade you can just match match it. Do whatever you want with it. Yeah trade act to another team right. yeah i think. that's the more likely scenario. The bulls have way less leverage with this than i think people realized general. I don't think people realize our understand restricted free agency and signed peace. Because it's ultimately it comes down to do the pelicans would. They want kobe way back. Yeah it's like great. That's another really young player. Who doesn't index. I unhappy and who hasn't been able to stay in the floor. We're not sure. If i like them but i think ultimately may be an overqualified. Third guard could be isn't that isn't that everybody in the bulls. We don't know who they are like. I feel like that's everybody on the bulls roster like laura marketed kobe. All those guys. I think what the bulls do. 'cause i don't think they're gonna get lonzo. Ball's i think that's where schreuder lands..

They all talk to help point out switches, they'll make contact and and that stuff is starts really with with your Senator guy in the middle who's able to adjust on the Fly and like you said card some perimeter stuff and blow up some ball screens and that makes a huge difference. So just to close the loop on the conversation. We were having originally recent back ports that I think are unbelievable Ryan archdeacon and Jalen Brunson came to mind for sure that duo. I think was ridiculous for Villanova in that first title run off. There was another one I had was oh Ty Jerome and Kyle guy I think is one that could be brought up here. I don't think that they quite stack up but it also helps when you have a log We picking the next things a lot easier. It's like turn the corn the NBA playing the three helps right the Kentucky backcourt of like all essentially lead guards of Aaron Harrison Devin Booker and Tyler ulis like Aaron Harris and I wouldn't call a lead guard necessarily but I mean, all three of those guys is unbelievable. But on the bench too though, like he didn't even start right? Yeah. Zion Williamson out of Duke-UNC game for knee injury after blowing out his shoe

"With last night's big story and that was the Zion Williamson injury. If you happen to miss it. Of course, he was the big game everybody that was you know, everybody excited going into last night's nine PM eastern tip off UNC Duke. It's one game that everybody gets excited for every year. And especially this year with giant Williamson and everything he has done for the blue devils and thirty three seconds in Zion goes down. He tries to make a move near the top of the key plants, his left foot and his shoe. Disintegrates he blows out the shoe to a point that I don't think I've ever seen anything like that grabs the knee unable to play for the rest of the game. Do goes on to lose big at home. Final is eighty eight seventy two sixty two points of those eighty eight that UNC scored came the paint clearly a huge hole left by Williamson. But the big question that everybody wanted to know after the game was is. I n okay is his left knee. Okay. Coach K, please. Tell US House I doing so mild knee sprain. Nia stable. We don't know how long he'll be out. I think we'll find out more about that. It's crazy that the two games we've lost here. Something's happened in the first part of the game. And the preparation that. You would have for the game is obviously based on. Your players being there, and especially he and Archer who are who are the key guys. And so it puts everyone. State of. Trying to figure it out while while you're playing outstanding team. That's not a good situation. And obviously Duke did not figure that out. That's coach Mike shoshefsky. And this is first and last I'm Gabe Nigel on ESPN radio. But it seems that John is going to be okay. The fact that coach K called a mild knee sprain. Is of just a knee sprain. Seems that whenever there's the potential to be something worse with the knee teams will throw out the generic term knee sprain. But coach K getting a little bit more specific they're calling it a mild knee sprain. Saying that the knee is indeed stable still don't know. How much time Zion is going to miss them guessing going to miss some time. But the fact that it seems that he is going to be okay. Makes it okay that we all made jokes last night about Nike's expense on Twitter and on Instagram on Facebook on social media, and poooest gotta know betterman Puma even sent out a tweet Puma was throwing shade at Nike because the shoe blew out. And every story that I'm reading there was an ESPN dot com. You're you're reading the story. And specifically you see the Nike shoe like Nike just continues to get thrown under the bus, his his his left Nike basketball shoe fell hard as he planted tripling near the free throw line on the opening play. That's from Ryan McGee over at ESPN dot com. And it was blowing up so bad on social media team people going after Nike that Nike had to release a statement this morning.
