"And there's Kentucky stuff there's a whole just pot of a bunch of stuff in there. So please give that to read, but it leads with the few stuff in the big stuff. But I am I I'm in fervent agreement with him, and the general point he's making in regard to meantime, literally this week, the extends markets contracts at least two thousand twenty three and whatever I don't think Mark emerge of bad guy. Just think he happens to be. The leader of the instable. And when you are the leader of the incident Blais, you're going to end up sounding ridiculous more often than not because you have to. Defend rationalized things that reasonable people don't even try to defend or rationalize. But I will say he is a little bit. Like a politician who has lost the trust of his. Constituent constituents. He's a little bit like a politician who people just don't believe in any more. It doesn't matter. If he does a good job or a bad job. People don't believe in them anymore. And Mark few is among the people who don't believe in anymore. And so I think it's just. Incredibly difficult to try to lead. And when you are the president of the incident Belay, you are a leader you need to be able to lead. And if people don't believe in you anymore, you can't lead. And so I don't know what the next president of the Belay will be better or worse or comparable to market. But I do think for a variety of reasons they need a new leader they need to face. They need a new voice because a real leader. Like Mark few accurate accurately pointed out could stand up and do something you can Mark. Emmett will try to pretend that well. We gotta do it this way. And it's got to be done. Like, no, you can do what you want to do. And the point. Mark few makes is punish Louisville right now. Punish Kansas right now. He didn't say these these schools specifically, but these are the ones he means punish Maryland right now punish the cheaters right now. And and. Make them except their punishment. Tell them you accept this now or we will investigate thoroughly. And if we find things in your program, then the punishment will be five times as worse ten times as bad, and I think. That would at least instill some confidence that maybe the. Is going to do something about this. Because as recently as Monday afternoon, I was on a radio station as a guest and the host. We're like the instabilities not going to do anything about this are they and I actually don't think that's true. I do think the incident is going to do something of interest. But the fact that there are people who don't believe in that is a fundamental problem with the leadership of that organization. It is and the public if frankly wants wants to punishments handed out as soon as possible. But it's it's not gonna happen. I mentioned on a previous podcast like I wasn't surprised when Emerson what he said in that nothing was gonna come for the season. I never expected to mean that it shouldn't just knew that it wouldn't. And I think few is a little bit ahead of the curve here. And that when we get to March, and we'll have had as long as the second trial doesn't as long as it happens. That'll be the person trial the assist the three assistants will go to trial in April. You're going to be appointed. If that trial has happened you're going to have come off that advance of the other trial is going to be happening. And this is all going to be stirred up. Again. There's going to be a lot more people talking about it. Because more coaches will be asked about at a press conferences, frankly, Mark will be asked about it vigorously. And I do mean vigorously at the final four when he has his annual press conference there, and you will have I think a lot of outcry, and it'll be very interesting to see which coaches say what and how Emmett's stance desert doesn't change by. Then I have to I have a suspicion that it will not shouts to Devon down to Justice out. Carolina shos to Terry MFN Teagle. He's legend chest alarm now. Please. "If the boiler makers are able to negate some of what we said on the podcast here and upset the wolverines that we don't think that's going to happen. But I'm not putting out of the realm of possibility Nevada, you mentioned just intriguing there and the organ, Houston, I think Houston's going to win that game. And if Houston wins that game and then Aaron wins at uconn. We might have just a situation where we look like. Oh, okay. I guess Arizona's the best team in the Pac twelve again, even though they were picked fourth in the preseason. And almost no one thought that team would be the best in that league better. Not let Bobby Hurley you say that that's also fair Zona state's been plenty good. I'm not I'm not going to completely dismiss the sun devils at this point. They do have a claim to that. And they are certainly in the mix. Keep an eye on Gonzaga. At creighton. Creighton is a top thirty team. I've got him in the top twenty five and one is Gonzaga's first true road game and Omaha is an amazing basketball. Like for people who've never been to Creighton game at Creighton. Like, it is it is excellent. And I imagine when you got the top ranked Gonzaga BULLDOGS coming in. It'll be jam packed. I don't know what the capacity is seventeen eighteen nineteen, but it's big. And it'll it'll be it'll be field. And so Kim palm projects that as just to Gonzaga eighty three eighty win. So the point spread on that probably going to be around three or four. We're not talking about. You know, EAS easy weekend for zag. Even if Creighton right now, I don't believe is is ranked in the in the people. So to me, that's the one that is most interesting zagged Creighton because we're watching the team the only team to beat the team ranked number one right now in a in a real tough situation in Omaha Creighton team that seems to be better than than what most people don't want. It would be in the preseason and forgives aga-. I mean, I love the way Mark few schedules. When he knows he's going to have a great team. Really anyway. But when he knows he's going to have a great team like why not just feel up your nonleague schedule with monster after monster? Because once they get to January and they're playing games. It's just going to be. They won't even be contested very often. So there at Creighton this weekend, then you get home game against Washington on Wednesday. Then you get Tennessee on a neutral next Sunday and in the following Saturday. It's at North Carolina. So Mark few undeniably put together a schedule. It's going to give Gonzaga chance to get a number one seed in the incident tournament, regardless of how easy they might have it in the WCC. Of course, you got to go win the games. But so far so good seven. Oh with that win over Duke. And also a neutral court win over era Zona shots to Devon down to Chester South Carolina, Terry MFN Teagle he's alleged. "Maybe Bruno Fernando makes a big bump. But I just wanted to close on on those teams that we have the biggest difference in opinion of just it's marginal. But among teams that we think are going to get to the tournament. I'm a lot higher on Saint John's than you. And then you are somewhat higher on Maryland than I am. Yeah. Like, obviously when I did the top twenty five and one Mustafa Heron was not eligible, although it always appeared that he would be no issue with you ranking Saint John's preseason top twenty five like, I certainly to dynamic players. I mean. Hereon Pons of both been big time contributors. At the at the high major level. And so there's no reason to think that Saint John's won't be good. I think I think Chris is going to get that program into the tournament as with Maryland, obviously, they lose Kevin harder. That's not ideal. But they they got Anthony Cowen who has you note in your rank could be a top ten point guard in college basketball, and I really do think brutal Fernando is going to have a breakthrough season. Like if we were looking for somebody who by mid January people going. Wow, that guy's way better than I thought he was going to be Bruno Fernando might be that guy. And so there's there's two big pieces right there. And yeah, I think Maryland's a top twenty five team. Although, you know, if you are in that eighteen to twenty five range you could end up being more like a top fourteen than a top twenty five team. There's there's not a whole lot of difference. I think between a team ranked twenty second forty second year in year out. There's not that much difference. It really just comes down to once the game. Start win here lost their what? Can I ask you one more question on one more team? See if you agree or disagree? Can I? Yeah. Of course. Okay. About this of Arizona, forty second. I don't think they're gonna make the tournament. Of course. I've heard from Wildcats fans about this. Do you think Arizona makes the instable tournament? And really, do you agree? If you had wrecked. Top fifty do you think that you would put Arezzo somewhere I have him or maybe a little bit higher? Keep in mind how much they lost from last season. I would have them probably lower than you have them lost everything, you know, like they really went through. And now they're going to bounce back more quickly than I think anybody anticipated because Shaun's got an incredible recruiting class set to enroll I really did think all of this stuff losing book having their programmed drug through it a little bit. I thought it would have a bigger impact on recruiting than it has clearly doesn't matter. It is wild like on the same day that I think the same day the verdicts came down like Maryland got a top one hundred kids like the how much this stuff matters to people like you. And I the trial the FBI all the scam. Handle. It doesn't seem to be hurting anybody. That's had that's been tied up in it when it comes to recruiting like US's got top-five class airs Ona's got a top five class, Maryland still recruiting at a high level. Keynes's the preseason number one team in the country. It just hasn't it hasn't affected. The basketball Louisville is recruit like five top one hundred commitments. It really hasn't of it doesn't seem to matter to recruits or the families of recruits at all which is a little surprising to me. So Arizona's going to balance back, but I don't think bouncing back this season. I think they probably miss the insulate tournament. Probably in the Pac twelve is going to be a total crapshoot don't think it'll be a top five league and hard to tell beyond organ, maybe Washington. Maybe UCLA we'll see what teams are actually going to be top fifty quality doubts Devon down to Chester South Carolina's the Terry MFN Teagle the legend chance to delare now. "Next season, but you lose out to Florida. And this is from a recruiting standpoint, although white has been building a really good class. I think that the. The Louis commitment, it firmly establishes the Gators again as a as a premier player. Within the five star realm. Okay. Florida's beating out Kentucky for guys and Kentucky very much wanted Louis than I think that's extremely notable nationally from a recruiting standpoint. And yeah, listen, Mike, White's done about as good as you as you said reasonably expect. He gained really close to making a final four is going to the tournament two or three years. Even his first year was reasonably decent for for his entry point, make the tournament again this year he's done about as well as you could possibly expect. And that's why particular we targeted him as a guy who's next series at the at the schools have current health coaches, Mike, why does able to not even make win a national championship, but make a final four? Just keep Florida in the top twenty five conversation almost annually than yes, I think that it is inevitable that he will be down the path. Billy Donovan in that. He could be sought after by top by programs, potentially. Maybe even the NBA gives him a look down the road. But in the short term here, Florida is looking really, really good Scotty Lewis in the fold, and the gator seem to have locked up a top ten class at worst and potentially top-five class for twenty nineteen. Just real quick on the SEC. The league in general, not just Kentucky, but the league in general has been recruiting well in recent years, and you're starting to see the results of that like that leaks. Gonna be awesome this year. I mean, think about this variables got to five star freshman and might not even finish the top six in the league because Kentucky is is the number one in the top twenty five and one Tennessee preseason top five team bring everybody back from SEC championship team. I've got Auburn in the top ten, I think LSU's going to be tremendous. Bring back from out waters and add to five star freshman, Mississippi State is going to be good. I've got them in the top twenty five and one Florida. I have just outside of the top twenty five and one, but you can reasonably put him in and then. Vanderbilt's sitting there with, you know, two, five star, freshman Missouri's. Got John Porter Bak. You know, Arkansas. I don't know. We'll be very good, but they got a lottery pick and Daniel gaffer. I mean, there's some real players in this league now, and I think it's going to be one of the better leagues in the country. Like I think it'll be as good as it's been a long time. Yeah, it should be. It's been more than a decade since the SEC ranked as a top three league in Ken palm, it's got a chance to do that in particular, my opinion, because the biggies isn't shouldn't be as good. The big ten probably shouldn't be as good as given the big ten. A look while I was on paternity leave at trying to figure out how that conference is going to shake out. It's looking right now. Like it's going to be Michigan state a little bit of a gap and then kind of Michigan probably maybe produce. We'll see how awesome Carson Edwards is with the pieces around him anyway, that's pre-season stuff that we're obviously going to get to in the coming weeks as well, but but the SEC. Yes, it should be a major factor in income. I would be surprised if we got to the first week of March and the weren't at least seventeen in the conversation to make. The tournament, not necessarily that they'll get seven, but I think minimum seven if things go as they should with with the coaches, the talent they have in that league, yes. If you're SEC fan, a root for any of those programs, I would expect a pretty good twenty eighteen nineteen Jelcz to Devon down to Chester South Carolina. She has to Terry MFN Teagle. He's the legend. "You're not gonna see as many prospects as you would normally see. Kentucky's guys are identified very early on recruiting off of top fifty list and in. Players who are going to be exposed for years, but. It's going to hurt mid majors and lawmakers. That's undeniable. And when we ask more than one hundred college coaches like the people, these rule changes actually affect and basically nobody says that they improved the system. People think they made it worse or it's about the same, but like almost nobody. In fact, I think literally nobody told me, yes, it's going to be better for the coaches or. Yes, it's going to be better for the players when nobody thinks you actually made it better. What are you doing? Like a plight to anything else in life? Hey, I'm gonna. Go fix this thing. All right, fixed it, but it's not better in any way whatsoever. Then you didn't fix anything. You just you either kept it the same, or you made it worse and the overwhelming majority of college coaches think that the changes to the calendar and what events are going to exist in which ones won't where they can go and where they can't like the overwhelming majority think that. The incident either made things worse for them and for players or kept it about the same for them. And in about the same for players, almost nobody thinks that the system is improved for coaches or players and. I agree with them by the way, and I think most people do than than what was the doing. Why would you implement these changes? If nobody thinks they're good? Why? Why would you implement these changes when the men who are who are most directly affected by them? Do not think you're actually helping in any way whatsoever. You've either kept things the same or you've made them worse. That means you fell by definition. Yeah. I mean this, this goes back to the commission issue and getting recommendations from the NBC. I mean, and then you've got coaches basically. So many of the coaches I spoke with said the NABC is out of touch. It relies on the voices of a select few who don't who don't represent the feelings and leanings of the majority within that organization. And if you really wanted to try and bottom line, a lot of this stuff establishes a commission puts the wrong people on the commission, the commission and relies on a lot of the stuff on the the recommendations don't come from a point of a democratic point of view, but a select few guys establish voices who've been in that. And so then those recommendations are fired back at the commission. The commission takes those interprets them as they may, and this is what you get as a result. And so few people are happy in the end. I feel like I've run out of things to Yemen. Let's have a great great Labor Day weekend. Enjoy your college. Football. Enjoy your night. Southern weather. Cultural also marks the other weather. It's hot, bro. It's hot and humid. It's miserable here. Well, I figured it might be getting a little chillier, but you know, give that another month, I guess. "Job once even if you never get it to your five the. But if you do start getting contract extensions, you're talking about two point, five million two point, eight million three point, two million. My point being this. The awesome reward cheating. If you're somebody who is willing to do it as forever, they'll will outweigh the the risk of getting caught for two reasons a, it's hard to get caught, you know, like what percentage of of of big time, what percentage of guys who by players or assistant, who by players do you think actually get caught? It's a low number. I, it's, it's the same reason in this little bit apples to oranges, but you'll get the point. Many people beyond just the central backed of you're making a poor decision, but so many people go to bar and then get in their car. They know that if they get caught, they're gonna get hit with a DUI, but they also know this. They're probably not going to get caught. Most people who drink and drive do not get caught and do not have a wreck and it that that fact leads to people saying, yeah, I know if I get caught doing this, then I'm in trouble, but I'm probably getting caller are minimal three miles from my house. I, I'm, I'm gonna go the speed limit. I don't have a tail light out. I'm probably not going to get caught most cheaters in college. Athletics do not get caught, but if you cheat and get good, it can it can produce for you. Melia nzx in millions of dollars. And yes, I guess the the, the idea of harsher penalties and your career being over. Could maybe make somebody think twice or hesitate, but the guys in the sport who are willing to do this are still when it gets time to do it going to be willing to. Likely to you can't you can't eliminate all this from happening. We've got our candid coaches series coming later this month, and that's just, you know, a chorus from the coaches, almost everyone like you cannot stop this. This whole third party idea, the never will be able to stop it. And while they're trying to employ subpoena power within its own bubble, you can't do that with people not affiliate with the answer. And so this is going to be something that is continuing issue and they're just going to try and put up walls and legislation as best they can as scare tactics to say, listen, presidents, Chandler chancellor's coaches, you need to be as proactive as possible because if we catch it, we don't. We don't give a damn, you're going to be held accountable for it, whether that's fair, not is up for even more debate. And I've heard from a few coaches who hate this idea to begin with because there are people within the own AA who've done wrong, haven't be held accountable their bosses and their boss's bosses overall. So just the start of this, there's plenty more we can get to, but obviously the big news of the day, the big news of the week in college basketball. And college. Athletics. This is again just to remind listeners, this is college basketball focused, but as it pertains to a lot of the legislation with punishments and investigations, Macau pause a ton of investigations of significance annually. This will apply to that as well. I think if you're a fan of call troops in college football, you'll see some rule changes in that's work coming within the years. Well, I'll leave you with something I've said over and over again literally for years. Now, if you are serious about fixing the problem solving, the issues within college basketball, you have to start with the dressing, the flawed model of amateurism. Anything short of that. It's just window-dressing anything short of that you're not really accomplishing anything. Duff Devon down Chester, South Carolina just to Terry MFN Teagle the legend. Remember to please subscribe beyond college basketball podcast via podcasts rated favourably five stars, nice comments. That's all we ask in return for us doing this as often as we do it. We will talk to you again next week at the latest till then..

"West but that's obviously a continual back and forth debate with with fans and frankly with coaches in administration as well this is awesome real quick gp i'm going to save virginia this is predictions here so i think duke will be carolina men i don't think it will be virginia so i will have duke on the two i will save virginia is the i'll go i'll go and order here a one overall is virginia i'll say villanova wins the biggest tournament their chew overall i will say ice idled the kids going with b 12 so actually i think oh i think xavier will be the 3 overall and it will lose in the title game two villanova kansas will lose and the big 12 title game and get the fourth one seed and then duke will be the fifth team overall it'll be the top two seed and that so yeah forgive me virginia villanova xavier kansas that that's my prediction based on what i think is going to happen in the league tournaments should be awesome gonna to be a great weekend here's what i would say that's going to be right if duke doesn't when the sec tournament if took about this i'll just put it as simply as i can put it if duke does not when the sec tournament the one seats are going to be for jinya villanova xavier in kansas if duke wins the sec tournament they are going to replace either kansas or whichever team doesn't win the biggest tournament but by but added let's bottom on it this way for gene is a lock and then there's four teams find three spots i do not think anybody else gets a oneseat it will be for jinya villanova xavier duke kansas some combination of those five teams will be the four number one seeds and selection sunday shots to devon downey shells to chester south carolina shells to terry mfn tcu he's the legend please go subscribe the on college basketball podcast via apple podcast rated favourably five stars nice comments that's all we ask five stars and nice comments and we will talk to you again.

"Occurred to me it's like they cut to the home it's unbelievable if you want park was like oh wow they this is steve all jaski coaching multiple devin down his at the same time shells dividends just trust south carolina shouts to terry mfn teagle i think market might favor basketball team market your new favorite basketball team no absolutely not not even close but they are pretty interesting at twelve and five in a in a good league getting a critical win in a seton hall of we haven't really talked much about them on the podcast either they are pretty damn good name till delgado did not quite make our first team midseason all american list but absolutely if we would have made a second team i would have made sure that he was on it was he's been pretty good for the for the golden eagles get that win at home big time for the resume i don't know how many teams are gonna come out of this league but right now i mean i think eight of the ten and yes i'm including george town which beat st john god's word namath say it's getting their gp i'm saying right now the only teams that no they've got no real shot of the tournament are depaul and st john's george sounds got to do a ton but they're still like they got the road when at st john's set lease keep the glimmer of hope alive you remove jor southen picture 'cause i don't think they're going to get there you got seven teams and that seventh theme uh just may be marquette because of the fact that it got this huge home win they are a very fun team this c here's why i think that they're are great for the league and they'll be more fun as we go forward because i think they're good enough to pick off villanova any any any team in the league i think they're good enough to pick them off at home and i think that they will in then because of the way that they play and because of the way that the shoot i actually think they're gonna wind up having similar what they were last year 'cause they were the top three pointing shooting team in college basketball last season and they were a fascinating group.

"Is because he was not seen as a the kind of athletes and point guard uh from a pro prospect standpoint the way that collins sexton was and he could always fill it up but there were some questions about whether the things he was able to do at that level if they would really become um you know maybe even seventy percent of what he's been able to do uh at the college level now so i actually had no issue a trey aung being ranked pretty much where it was 'cause he was a five star recruit he was just one of the final five star recruits if you go look at two four seven sports composite rankings uh but now obviously this this could very well become part of the the lower of tree young is that he will you know um they're the op ed the opposite a guess of a guerrilla stat in some ways was he wasn't even a top twenty recruit zone high school class look what he's doing i think you're gonna hear that a lot going forward um the scary thing with young is that i don't think he is going to regress to the mean this season now i don't know if he's going to be able to stay ain't double digit averages in assists and points but i think he is going to be 25 plus in the point averaged by the end of the season and probably eight point five assists at worst um that is statistically incredible gp i don't have it in front of me but he was responsible for something like seventy six of oklahoma sports last night it was insane um he was the first player in over twenty years to get 20 points at twenty six twenty sis in a game uh and was the first player do a twenty and twenty of any statistical kind since rico gathers at baylor almatar to terry mfn teagle dissoving down rhyming that shout out in nice in early um he did that in 2015 um he is must watch he is the definitive canyon gapped leader for national player of the year at this point um and i don't think he's got on lock we've got a lot of season to go here uh but if oklahoma continues to be.
