"It makes more sense to find the people who are already like you to find the people who are willing to step out of line willing to take a risk willing to speak up for freedom and concentrate those people in one area where we can actually make an impact. How such a small group only five five six thousand people have had such an impact is because we got the people here who are highly capable highly intelligent motivated people and they drag all of these other people to their positions right and so that is how how this can work despite Despite not everyone sort of feeling these things that deep-seated way. So i wanna get into switch to talk about some of the evidence. Because what's happened in. New hampshire is absolutely incredible. So this this session alone we have forty five free staters in the state legislature. That's incredible and that's more than the libertarians ever got elected. Yeah way more like like is there a way more. Yeah i think they actually got one person elected in wyoming wyoming. Yeah and it was a two way race. She actually mentioned it if we get a chance to get to her audio. But they mentioned one success and jeremy's like we've got what did he say forty five. Yeah and that's just this year and republican democrat libertarian. Labels does don't matter. These are free staters. Were not operating under terry. Mardi party. Banner here correct. Look continue here In your calls. Welcome if you want to join us on. The difference between the libertarian party nationally. And they're almost complete lack of success in fifty years since nineteen seventy and the libertarian. Or the the free state project in only the last twenty years. Roughly your new hampshire or coming up free talk live free talk live number here six zero three two eight hundred sixty one sixty studio tonight. It's ian aria. And talking about the pointlessness of continuing libertarian party. Nationwide efforts you know if you wanna do it. Well it can be interesting and florida. And i learned some stuff and you know what i learned was that it was pointless and i learned as soon as i found out about the idea of the free state project about the idea of migrating to the same place was like well duh. What a great concept. It seems so obvious. After the fact it's like oh it. Does i mean combined together. I didn't even know about the free state project. When i ended up coming up here for a port faster. I don't i don't recall even really understand what it was when i actually moved here. But it was the same basic idea of. Hey there's a of libertarians here. Why don't you come join us. I was like that. Sounds like a great idea. Because here's office here. There's three and i can't get them to come to these meetings with me. That sounds like a lot of people's experience. Yeah i mean in florida. I think there were like five to ten of us and then on an election year it would go up to twenty people would come out of the woodwork for you. Know the national election and then they go away see. We never got past. Three ed's ed's feds offense fence coming out of the woodwork. Could have been but i. It's not as likely that the feds are going to infiltrate the libertarian party anywhere else. As ineffective there pointless so the feds only want to target the people that are actually making an impact which is why they come here. Keen and investigate the free staters. Because we're over the target. Were actually having an impact. Were actually you know. If there's a chance at secession new hampshire is going to be one of those places. Yeah because of this movement. So let's go on here. This is jeremy kaufman speaking in his opening statement at the porcupine freedom festival this year in debate against a woman who is running for the chair. Person spot in the libertarian party. Who herself lives in los angeles. Wow the worst of the worst. I mean what are you doing. But because she seen new hampshire at this point she's been here more than once as she still chooses to go back to los angeles amazing. She addresses it here in in her speech. I don't know if we'll get chance to get into such a walkable city. Let's continue here kaufman. He's going to. He's he started out by talking about sort of the fundamental idea. That libertarians are never going to convince enough people to vote for them to have any national success. Which doesn't care about the same things that other people care about right and you're not going to persuade those people to care about it just not and and if you thought there was a chance about that i could understand it but now past twenty twenty past the covet stuff and the way people reacted to that. I know there's no chance you're gonna are always going to be a political minority nationwide worldwide. So coming together is the only solution we ever want to have a chance. Let's go on now. He's going to get to the more practical. Like per actual examples of success beyond the theoretical are more people in this room that are members of the that our elected hampshire house of representatives and former members of the libertarian. Party than there are libertarian. Party members elected nationwide right. There's what there's one libertarian. Party member elected nationwide. Marshall burnt wyoming. And he ran a two-party rates so he did not beat. Both at democrat and republican is libertarian versus democrat. And he wants. We have forty five people who moved here to have political impact get elected last year. Okay and we're doing it off budget. That's not even one tenth of what the the well we don't. The free product doesn't run. Canada wanna be clear about that but the money being spent here is a fraction of. What's being spent by the libertarian party. These free staters have also made. The republican platform libertarian. You can go on and look at the republican platform in new hampshire. I'm not going to say it's one. Hundred percent libertarian. but it's pretty libertarian. Republicans if you're a member of the gop you can get an official minted from new hampshire dot. That says taxation snapped. That is a mainstream position. So i know that republicans and a lot of places aren't libertarians. And church coming from out of state. It's different here okay. I don't know who which side is the rhino roz. I'll talk about more of the positive. Generally rated as one of the first or second free state's first or second lowest lowest in taxes. Free staters have helped constitutional. Carry the past castle doctrine. They've reduced the state budget and the end taxes suspending taxes multiple times they just lower taxes and spending by another three percent just literally yesterday three percent less taxes less spending percentage but is still step in a better direction than the federal government's going but it was the smallest budget in history. Right something like that. I don't know there was some thing that was being. What's upon a time. They had a budget of like thousand dollars. Wrong straight like. It's the smallest budget of any other state or something. It's gotta be the only state reducing i. I mean i've still asked. I've asked openly for somebody to provide me another example of another state reducing their budget. No one has done so reducing their taxes. True there they're actually going to pass on savings to property tax payers. You're right about that. I think it's like one hundred million dollars is to get not spent time in property taxes. Ice basically going on the only remaining income taxes no income tax.
