City leaders say this facility is what's needed to help coordinate all of the homeless resources in the city and what they say is a disaster like response. Seattle leaders along with administrators from the King County regional homelessness authority said they are teaming up with the U.S. Department of Housing and urban development to start coordinating the many different organizations involved in homeless services. He wasn't as flighty as people think. He was a student of the game, young understood the game of basketball. And the understood matchups. And he worked coop. He worked at his highest paid rally work. You all Betty broke in my career. We worked extremely hard and remember back then you could have two practices. And they could be full practices. You had no limits. And then you could have a meeting in between. So we were practiced really hard, have this meeting about the plays and all this different. You know, that might be sitting in there like, I'm tired. Just don't be the basketball. This is who. And then do it again. Practice again. So I can say quick right off the bad memories, the fact Riley used to do that. Practice meeting practice film after a soap. We didn't have the p.m. afterwards. So you all were no, we didn't have that Apple. Kobe Bryant. Coast to coast with the basketball and they plays. It was something to behold and the thing I love about LeBron James that people were look, he is extremely intelligent ball player. But we have intelligent players that didn't share the knowledge with their teammates. He shares knowledge when you call a player set. He knew what play you were in. If that teammate was not in the right position, he said, hey, I need you to hear thereby run this play. He was he was probably the best I have ever seen in the history of the game of basketball that I've seen. But not only understood the game, but also shared that knowledge with his players on the basketball court. That's a great insight that I think people have a tendency to forget about those little aspects, nuances about his game is letting his teammates know. And, you know, you play for some great ones. That was one of Magic Johnson's biggest strengths is about inclusive for the whole team. Everybody been on the same page because it takes teams together everyone achieves more to win basketball games and LeBron definitely definitely has that, okay. Fit was some of your favorite teammates. And give us a little bit of insight on some of them. Well, junior bridgeman, and Harvey catches, we came in, well, they kind of mentor me when I was in Milwaukee Bucks and we did everything together in the road. Good and bad. Just kidding. Also. Hopefully if I bob a study in church and knows that. They really kept me from maybe strain more than I would have. Because they were just all about business being professionals playing bucker. They were pros. They were just professionals. I love playing with bob Lanier because bob was bob was a rebel player at a high had a very high skill level. People in a lot of times feel the love that the basketball player. And you always felt you know how it is and so I could get you open. Don't mind he could get you open. Whatever was guarding you, they would no longer be on you when bob said a pig. Man, I caught some of them hips. I caught 7 hips trying to get around him guarding you. Elbows, whatever it took. To do that, Marcus Johnson was such a skill player. I enjoy playing with Marcus because Marcus was a he wasn't a complimentary player, but he could compliment you. He wasn't trying to try to outshine you because he was good enough to shine out on his own. And he also just fundamentally again fundamentally player his father mills were so good. He was a winner. I just like most of my teammates were winners. I really liked that Paul Presley was one of my great teammates because he could pass the basketball was very smart. I still have a hard time believing that this team if if steph even if he misses some time but if he stays relatively healthy that they are going to miss the playoffs i know there is some pessimism on some sides that they're just still not good enough i i don't buy that. The home i got. I got all the time in the world for you know that so. Let's discuss the finals. Obviously you were there. Starting with the intensity the crowd how much it meant to them Being able to watch on tv you get a a great understanding of how passionate those fans are. Obviously the arena. Hold seventeen thousand. It's been fifty years almost fifty years since they've won nba finals and see sixty sixty five thousand people outside the arena screaming. What was the atmosphere like. What was the situation like compared to other finals. You've been to or been a part of yes because of what was outside and we did our nba countdown show kind of on a balcony overlooking that they call the deer district in twenty. Five thousand fans Earlier in the series and then it became they said sixty sixty five thousand opened it up opened up more space on both of it. It was unlike anything i've ever seen. Your toronto had the toronto had that outside the arena when they were winning when they won their championship. I think maybe you're to prior jurassic park right and so that was comparable. This was unbelievable. It felt like a college football environment like outdoors just The mass of people was incredible. I mean three times the amount outside and It was a hungry city city that was love that franchise has been really loyal loyal through a lot of lean lanier's fifty years obviously between titles. And you know they've had good teams in milwaukee through the years like you remember the eighties with you. Know sidney moncrieff and bob lanier terry. Cummings like they were a perennial playoff team that get to the second round. Usually maybe lose the boston philly when those teams richest better but this is just. There's this great law. Affair they are and phoenix was to phoenix. Obviously as they haven't milwaukee's been very good now for several years the honestly no way Phoenix obviously had been terrible For a number of years bought ideal really passionate fan base and there's great nba history in phoenix than had. Bases that hadn't experienced winning to this level hadn't been in the finals in a very long time and so Really i thought both cities it was. It was really remarkable. I think you feel it even more because we've been without fans for so long and we started the season we ended. The season with autumn started the season without him and it was pretty amazing to look around and we had adam silver on our show on countdown before game a four. I think and we were just talking about that about the fact that we went from fans to what was just a pretty rockets rockets environment. I definitely agree with you. I just wanted to get your perspective because you were there on the ground being able to watch. I got friends who obviously intended to gain Ex teammate pat who in now champion well-timed. I'm happy for him. Because i understand. The process is taken for him to get there being a baseball player. Being a rotation god second round pick gets traded and finds the initial championship caliber team where he's making impact place pet connotation i. I really didn't get a chance to talk about it on air. But i was talking about it. I've ever sitting there with jalen. Rose a few times I remember when he came in the league in portland with you guys. Didn't score but made a lot of winning plays throughout the game and at what point was the leading three point field goals made for the bucks during the finals ryan. So shout out to him. But we'd be remiss if we didn't talk about some the star players obviously starting with What he was able to accomplish Not only throughout the season but coming back from that injury in on five or six days injury we thought was going to in this season and maybe put next season in jeopardy. Did you expect him to do he did i i can answer i i expect him the dominate but he took dominate into a whole new level of where he made fifty look easy. Absolutely especially coming off the injury you said. Cj he said it he thought his not only his season was over. He might be out for a year. They worried that he had a really injured that need to go from where he was when he went down and they win the last couple of games without him and get by atlanta to all of a sudden he's warm up game warning plays really well in game one and then just fully dominates the series from game two on loss game too. He played incredibly. Then the rest of the series forget it. he was That was an all time. Nba finals performances. And i mean it's funny. Cj you think back to just late in the season latte like he wins back to back. Mvp's people still ask. Can you really build a championship team around. You can go to at the end of games..

I would be this good offensively. Spree. I mean, right away, is a rookie. He averaged 15 points a game. What happened? Was he you know, he got and Chris Webber side of the locker room. And you know what? Hardaway tours a CL They decided together. And I lost that team. You know, it just became Hueber and spree. Well, and you know, on the other side was the rest of the guys. But he was just out of control and one game. Michael had it out for him. And from the opening tip. Michael went to get him. You know what Michael would hike up his shorts real hide and get low on the ground and touch. The floor. Defensively is like, Oh, here it comes. The Dover man. He's gonna be out here all day. And I never turning of Arnett in a commercial, and I said, What did spree will do to piss off Michael Jordan. He locked him obligated. He did not Scott. He scored the whole game. It's got a head like 24 in the first half. Michael didn't even teach him score his guy his whole thing. Was just shut down spree well spree well, did not have a basket until literally seconds to go in the first half, he caught an air ball. You know the old line about air balls go to the offense. It was an air ball shot. He caught it and laid it in at like at the horn to end the first half, and that was the only basket. He scored the first half. For some reason, Michael coming out of the you know, two years away, playing Baseball something somebody said something that's very well said or something, and it just pissed him off. And he completely shut spree out. Just wouldn't let him breathe. Yeah, that would not be good. That was it. Every single time Something happened and then he was like, Okay, I got my motivation for tonight. He was unbelievable in there. I usually drop 50 on you Miss game would not. He didn't want to score. Let's Scotty score that night. He just would not. He climbed in spree Wells Jersey like, what is he doing? It was incredible when you wanted the guard like that. He was the best.
