"Satanic bible in an ulcer. They're into it. Yeah. Yeah. They're not just plan pretends. Yeah. So now, we're getting into the trial. So during the trial psychiatrists examined Christian and found her to be an extremely bright young woman, they found her to be seen in legal terms. But acknowledged that she had an undiagnosed by by borderline personality disorder and she was marijuana dependent and abuse inhalants. So kind of the time to be like. Like duster? I'm not sure they didn't really go into it. But kind of feel like I think of he'll Ince's district canceled time but like with cream cans. Yeah. Going through Darren being like people do what? Or the like whip. It's of. Yeah. Yeah. So the trial happens on March twenty second of nineteen ninety six after only a few hours of deliberation. Krista was found guilty of murder and conspiracy to commit murder on March thirtieth nineteen ninety six she's role of that. She's twenty now gosh, she super young on March thirtieth nineteen Ninety-six Krista listens to death by electrocution for the murder charge in twenty five years in prison for the conspiracy charge after occasion. So at this point, Chris is the youngest woman to be sent to death in the United States after the supreme court ruling of Furman versus Georgia. So I looked this up. It was kind of like a supreme court hearing stated that unless of uniform policy of determining who's eligible for capital punishment exists. The death penalty will be regarded as cruel and unusual punishment. So that was stated and then after that, she was okay, I'm to death. Okay. So she is. Punishment Terrell received a license with the possibility of parole shall della who had turned informant received probation for pleading guilty to being an excessively. Yeah. So now, we're going into the peels. So obviously Christa has been going through her appeal throughout the years, and it was in the nineties. She was like twenty early twenty s and in December of two thousand eight Chris's requests for a new trial was turned down and she was returned to death row. This denied request is believed to be the final allowed under the appeals procedures the of Tennessee's hit them. And I just checked today. I still didn't find any execution date kind of sense Joan, but of the sixty people on death row into the sea. She's the only woman. Yeah. Still this is kind of a side. So callings family has been requesting that fragment of skull because they want to cremate it and kinda put hurt their daughter to rest, but because the appeals process. Going on it's still evidence. So they haven't been able to get that. But I wanna say because of the last quote unquote, appeal, hopefully, they'll be able to terrorist. A little bit more on August two thousand twenty four to one Krista attacked an attempted to strangle fellow inmate Patricia Jones with a with a shoe string and nearly succeeded in choking her death. The motive was over a common love interest with another Greenville killer. She was convicted of attempted I agree. Murder on August eighth. Two thousand four dude. So she's got rage problem. One little bit more of this little story, she tempted to break out of prison. Yes. She did on March in in March of two thousand twelve number say, I don't think she's charming enough to break out of prison unless you almost was but she didn't do it. That's true. That's if you have to like, the intangibles like, yeah. I think charming is how you break not the little hacksaw the brick charming is part of getting all that stuff in life. Okay. Think charming is the is the the thing is the magic potion so in March teeth twelve it was revealed that Krista had made escape plans involving corrections. Officer Justin Heflin, a New Jersey man name. Donald Koo Koo hut. The tempted prison break was so prison pen pal and a guard. So the prison break was stopped by joint investigation involving the Tennessee department. Corrections in the Tennessee bureau of investigation and the New Jersey state police. Yeah. Won't want long so thwarted that is Christa pike for you. My goodness. Yeah. So young so involved in the life shoes at a time that a mud on my shoes. Yeah. Yuck. All right. We'll we're gonna take a quick break. Mentally about Nancy Quichen. She was born in nineteen sixty four Michigan. She dropped out of the person school of design after two years. She'd worked as the floor manager at the Kellyanne Tae cab company she worked at a Mexican restaurant Waverly place in New York. And she worked at the L real grand. She has a bunch of kind of restaurant experience. We don't know any like earlier life, not really not that. I could find okay? She'd also been the general manager of docs, restaurant on Broadway in Manhattan. So like running restaurants in New York City. She's not just some schlub. She meets Robert Kissel and Mary him at the East River yacht club in New York City in one thousand nine hundred nine they had three children, and then they moved to Hong Kong in nineteen Ninety-seven. So they lived at the Hong Kong Parkway, and I couldn't find as later at one point. I read that the rent was twenty grand a month. What? And I that's wrong. But again yen or in like, I think in US dollars both in. She is like kind of a manager restaurants. Did she move there for that? So Robert was vice president of Goldman Sachs Asian special situations group. Okay. So she marries this, dude, Robert and he's. He's loaded. He's got cra-. He's got a crazy job. So she's not really doing anything like a back. See? Yeah. So he gets hired. So Goldman is why he moves over to Hong Kong, but then he gets hired by Merrill, Lynch in two thousand in the year two thousand and he's the head of its distressed assets business in Asia while he's doing all right? So for her to stay busy. She helps out with the Hong Kong International school. She ends up being vice president of the parent teachers board so at some point. So the these kids live in Hong Kong. They're Livin loaded loaded lives. She visits the United States in the middle of two thousand three she meets this guy. Michael Dell Peoria he's the like the electrical repairman they've hired to rewire their house in Vermont. So not only they're living in this like baller status, ocean view place. In Hong Kong, they've got a house in Vermont. And I feel like there's other properties to clear loaded. She meets us electric. Repairman while she's back home, and at some point a relationship develops between the two of them she gives in this really expensive gold watch. So I I don't know like when the affair really starts, but she meets him in middle of two dozen three in this kind of when it all kicks off. So later, it'll be suggested that Dell Peoria so the electrical repair guy that he might have aided in the bedded he might have kind of encouraged her in this. But that like they have a relationship going now, she's like not hot to trot on her husband, Hong Kong family. So police have foam records and stuff. She had made fifty two calls to him in September. Okay. And one hundred six calls in October. Okay. So her husband Robert is suspicious that she's having an affair and he hires a New York private detective named Frank shea. Okay. And he starts spying on her. And they put spyware. Into her laptop. And so it's recorded that on the states will come into play. It's recorded on August twenty eighth two thousand three. So she met him in the beginning of the year. She called him a bunch of September October. This is a little before that on over twenty eighth. She made an internet search for sleeping pills. Oh and quote overdose medication causing heart attack in quote and quote drug overdose. And quote, so the prosecution later said that on October twenty third she made it so that's in August twenty eighth search and then on October twenty third she made a search for hip nal. Date rape drug. No. And Robert he sees all this. He's got this monitoring on her computer. He sees this the searches and he confides a colleague, David. No. And he goes my life might be in danger get out of that situation. What are you doing? No. So then psychiatry a psychiatric expert. I guess doctor Dr Desmond Fung, he testifies in court later that she had visited him on August twenty ninth. So obvious twenty eighth. She makes these searches and then the very next day she's at his office, and then October twenty third she makes searches and October thirtieth. She's in his office, and she obtained prescriptions for tranquilizers. So she's searching, the south meets doctor gets the pills searches more stuff meets at artery. It's the bills. So there's gonna be an autopsy of Robert dies. There's gonna be a topsy later. They find Rohypnol like just a smattering of all these rugs in his stomach. He has five contusions on his school. Oh, which which they're saying are the cause of death. So he's been poisoned or draw in beaten, and they also has these head wounds so prosecution alleges that she drugged Robert with a strawberry milkshake. No. That's my ties milkshake because a mudslide. Yeah. Shake. Okay. So this is this twisted. So she drugs strawberry milkshake has her six year old child deliver it to him. No. And then he likes succumbs to the milkshake. She has the kids leave the house, and then she beats them on my God. No. So in the days following so he dies and then in the days following that death. No one knows about the debt. She goes to a doctor's visit with bruises and other injuries. That she supposedly got during the murder, and she claims that she's got kinda dissociate of amnesia. Can't remember what happened why she got these bruises? So that's November. I think I I don't know I like deleted when the late October is when when she had killed him. So she kinda creates this whole charade about it. So between November third and sixth. She buys new bedsheets to put on the bed because they're all blood stained, she buys nylon, rope, some boxes to pack 'away things. She rolls his corpse up in a oriental rug and like ties it with the nylon rope rolled them up in a rug ties him up eventually pulls the bedding off like any sort of incriminating evidence she like boxes away. And then has it moved to the got like a storeroom in this apartment complex. So she moves all there. And then she calls the, man. Office. And she's like, hey, can you move this rug into the storeroom what so the rug with the body in it all the bought like all this stuff gets moved into thick is this rug? I feel like if I was moving a rundown rugs. Or if I can have ESL are I?
