Law enforcement officials swarmed and entered a white van on Sunday afternoon that officials suspected was driven by a gunman who opened fire on a Southern California ballroom dance studio, killing ten people and wounding ten more. Police surrounded the van with tactical vehicles and bomb squad trucks for hours before going in, a person's body appeared to be slumped over the wheel and was later removed from the vehicle. Los Angeles County sheriff Robert Luna identified the suspect as 72 year old who can tran. Luna said Sunday the man killed himself as police officers closed in on the van that he used to flee the scene of an attempted second shooting. The manhunt came after the gunman killed ten people at a ballroom dance studio late on Saturday, amid lunar new year's celebrations in the predominantly Asian American community of Monterey Park. He likely tried and failed to target a second dance hall, authorities said. The van was found in torrents, another community home to many Asian Americans, about 22 miles from the second location. The shooting sent a wave of fear through Asian American communities in the Los Angeles area and cast a shadow over lunar new year festivities around the country. Luna said the shooting at the star ballroom dance studio in Monterey Park left 5 women and 5 men dead and wounded another ten people. Then 20 to 30 minutes later, a man with a gun entered the lie lie ballroom in nearby Alhambra. The suspect entered the Alhambra club with a gun and people wrestled the weapon away from him before he fled Luna said. The massacre was the nation's 5th mass killing this month. It was also the deadliest attack since May 24 when 21 people were killed in an elementary school in uvalde, Texas. A new search of president Joe Biden's home in Wilmington Delaware on Friday by the U.S. Justice Department at the request of The White House found 6 more items, including documents with classification markings, a lawyer for the president said in a statement on Saturday night. Some of the classified documents and surrounding materials dated from Biden's tenure in the U.S. Senate, where he represented Delaware from 1973 to 2009, according to his lawyer bob Bauer. Other documents were from his tenure as vice president in the Obama administration from 2009 through 2017. The Department of Justice, which conducted a search that lasted over 12 hours, also took some notes that Biden had personally handwritten as vice president, according to the lawyer. The president offered full access to his home to allow the DoJ to conduct a search of the entire premises for potential vice presidential records and potential classified material power said. Justice Department investigators coordinated the search with Biden's lawyers ahead of time Bowers said, and the president's personal and White House lawyers were present at the time. Earlier this month, U.S. attorney general Merrick Garland, named a special counsel to probe the matter. Special counsel Robert Hur, who was appointed during the process, is investigating how the president and his team handled Obama era classified documents that were recently found in Biden's private possession. Republicans have attempted to compare the investigation to the ongoing probe into how disgraced former president Donald Trump handled classified documents after his presidency. The White House has noted that Biden's team has cooperated with authorities in their probe and had turned over those documents. Trump resisted doing so multiple times until an FBI warrant search in August at his Florida resort. The NTSB has released a preliminary report on the crash of a seaplane nearly two weeks ago that killed ten people. Details from northwest news radios Jeff poggio. The report doesn't speculate on a cause as much of the wreckage still needs to be recovered from the bottom of mutiny bay, but it does say the plane was manned by an experienced pilot and it underwent maintenance just days before the flight. A review of flight data shows the plane increased in altitude before going into a nosedive and crashing into the waters off whidbey island. The man who was the face of the bureau of alcohol tobacco and firearms during the sniper spree is looking back at what the evidence showed and how new technology might have helped solve the crime sooner. "Schedule your free estimate today It's 1211 It's been one week since ten people were killed at a Buffalo New York supermarket The alleged shooter a white 18 year old targeted the black community investigators say according to a new Washington Post ipsos poll three quarters of black Americans are worried that they or someone they love will be attacked because of their race We've got Washington Post polling director Scott Clement with us live Scott thanks for so much for coming on with us on a Saturday Three quarters of black Americans you surveyed That's a lot of people who are living with this fear That's right It was the question we asked We didn't even mention the buffalo shooting but clearly the sense of vulnerability is pretty widespread right now And we asked some of the same questions that we asked very unfortunately two years ago following George Floyd's killing by police and Minneapolis And we found similar results big majority of black Americans said they felt sad 62% said they were angry but just 8% said they were surprised Just 8% of the people that you pulled were surprised by the attack You also saw in the write up on this very small percentage of people thought racism would be solved in their lifetime Can you talk about that Yeah so we ended the question We ended the poll with this question over the rest of your life Do you think the problem of racism will get better or get worse or stay about the same And the optimistic position was held by just 10% of black Americans saying that things will get better during the rest of their life 53% expect them to get worse 36% stay the same And we found similarly pessimistic views when asked about the breadth of white supremacist views something that typically asks about for racism broadly but the motivations of the alleged killer seem very clear here we wanted to ask about that Okay Scott thanks so much for breaking this down for us It's Washington Post polling director Scott Clement joining us live on WTO Coming up we'll have the latest on Tiger Woods third round from the PGA Championship it's 1213 Our.

You don't wanna step on toes right so the value core values as a company's important like maybe empathy at. Maybe we all grow together as a team. It may be. Don't do evil in the world but if you give higher smart people who who you want to learn from until they tell you what to do and get out of their way give them the mission the vision the metrics and the us and then step out of the way be an input not an approver and there's a big difference there if you're an approver you become a blocker and i've been a victim to that if you're if you're an approver you are you the more you say. I wanna prove things. The bigger the blocker you become and more you hold back in the progress of your company. The other thing i would say is higher for trajectory versus experience. Everybody wants volume. It's like you can't figure out how to create this product or to see if it works if there's like ten people in it so they've got to aggregate as many things as possible in a perfect world. Everybody would have in quote a station. And that's where. I think i get confused. Because they're changing the if they were just an aggregate her app thing. It would be station for my show. It's called my confined apple podcast and other seeing so it's like and that's where i think that's where the confusion lies is that they are They have an idea for the product of what they want it to be like and it involves a changing of of the language. But it's sounding weird to us right so if they would have said like at your show to this new destination or this new distribution channel. I think that would actually not be as weird as if like here claim your station right because that's a different language in. That feels odd. So i get it. I've seen it. I've i've looked at it.
